- 0:10Speaker 1: W t inurance.
- 0:13Speaker 2: I'm a check couple. Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy the Show.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I'm Adam Todd Brown. Who are you?
- 0:37Speaker 1: I'm Olivia Hidar and who are we?
- 0:39Speaker 2: We are your co hosts Olivia. How's it going?
- 0:42Speaker 1: Oh, you know, not bad. Can't complain. I'm living in
- 0:46Speaker 1: a police state.
- 0:47Speaker 2: But other than that, are you excited to expose the truth? Oh?
- 0:50Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. This episode is gonna get banned.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Yeah, this we're we're putting this one out for free.
- 0:56Speaker 2: We've been covering the highly banned second season of Conspiracy
- 1:02Speaker 2: Theory with Jesse Mansura.
- 1:04Speaker 1: It's another victim of cancel culture, except it wasn't canceled.
- 1:07Speaker 1: That got renewed for a third season.
- 1:09Speaker 2: But then it got canceled, so oh.
- 1:11Speaker 1: It definitely got canceled. It is. It's it's so weird
- 1:17Speaker 1: that you can easily find the first season and you
- 1:20Speaker 1: can easily find the third season. But is it but like,
- 1:24Speaker 1: is it just because of this episode or is it
- 1:27Speaker 1: because of because like the first season had the harp episode, right.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Yeah, the harp episode I think is one that's missing. Yeah,
- 1:36Speaker 2: but like it's on daily Motion just like the rest of.
- 1:39Speaker 1: The well, I mean, yeah, everything, and we'll cover the.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Harp episode at some point. Yeah, we're making this one
- 1:45Speaker 2: free because this is this is the one, This is
- 1:48Speaker 2: the one that people really got upset over and it
- 1:52Speaker 2: never aired more than once.
- 1:53Speaker 1: The people deserve to know, and I you know, this
- 1:57Speaker 1: might be a bombshell that we can talk about as
- 2:00Speaker 1: we go. But I have a conspiracy theory about why
- 2:04Speaker 1: they went so hard on this episode.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I think I can see where that conspiracy
- 2:09Speaker 2: theory's going, too.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Uh, because there's a lot of interesting things and a
- 2:15Speaker 1: lot of it is super inflammatory and probably untrue, but
- 2:19Speaker 1: it comes from a specific source and perspective that I
- 2:24Speaker 1: think ties into this.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I think it's interesting. It's a really interesting episode.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I have I have a theory about it too.
- 2:31Speaker 2: It mine mostly revolves around Alex Jones. Same same, Yeah,
- 2:35Speaker 2: so this is going to be a fun episode. That's
- 2:37Speaker 2: why we're putting it out for free. Absolutely, this is
- 2:40Speaker 2: an important sode. Yeah, we've been covering this entire season,
- 2:44Speaker 2: so we're we're four episodes in. Next week's bonus episode
- 2:47Speaker 2: is going to be episode three, which covers Wall Street
- 2:50Speaker 2: and that one's also a doozy of an episode.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that wouldn't rules.
- 2:55Speaker 2: It rules because it's mostly true.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, it's just a document.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's uh the short that led to the
- 3:03Speaker 2: big short.
- 3:04Speaker 1: We'll talk about it when we get to that episode.
- 3:06Speaker 1: But it's it's kind of like a straight faced Borett
- 3:10Speaker 1: get a little bit and it rules. I love it.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yeah, but let's talk about the Police State episode. Yes,
- 3:16Speaker 2: I didn't know there was a pandemic angle to this.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I didn't remember. I vividly remember seeing this episode, but
- 3:21Speaker 2: I didn't remember the pandemic thing.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Yes, and that is definitely Yeah. Again, it ties into
- 3:28Speaker 1: why this was banned.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I think the the opening scene is very confusing because
- 3:32Speaker 2: it's just it just immediately cuts to Jesse Ventura and
- 3:36Speaker 2: Alex Jones, like stalking through the forth. They look like
- 3:40Speaker 2: the fucking monkeys or something like that from behind trees. Yes,
- 3:44Speaker 2: why shit, it's a monkey's video.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I mean the banned It literally is like they're hiding
- 3:51Speaker 1: behind one tiny tree and like poking out either side.
- 3:56Speaker 1: It's so funny, and.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Then they they don't really they just cut away from that,
- 4:01Speaker 2: and we're supposed to know what that was all about.
- 4:03Speaker 2: They are looking at a bunch of things that they
- 4:06Speaker 2: say are coffins, sure, and we'll get to it. They are,
- 4:10Speaker 2: but it's not what you think America. So Jesse's first
- 4:14Speaker 2: actual interview is with some woman named Catherine Bleisch, and Jesse,
- 4:20Speaker 2: in introducing her, gets way into can you believe girls
- 4:25Speaker 2: do things too? Territory? He's like, the government's watching her,
- 4:30Speaker 2: but she's a girl.
- 4:32Speaker 1: What does an innocent girl have to do with the government.
- 4:38Speaker 2: It is a quintessential early twenty ten this moment.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Is this girl really a threat to the United States?
- 4:48Speaker 2: Like maybe, yeah, maybe outside. I don't want to take
- 4:51Speaker 2: that from women that they can never threaten the safety
- 4:53Speaker 2: of the United States, Absolutely sane. The reason she feels
- 4:58Speaker 2: like she might be considered a threat is because she
- 5:01Speaker 2: found out an agency in her state said she should
- 5:03Speaker 2: be considered a threat to law enforcement. And it turns
- 5:07Speaker 2: out all she did to get labeled subversive was to
- 5:10Speaker 2: work with Ron Paul. Yeah, which I don't know. That
- 5:14Speaker 2: does seem a little extreme in terms of reasons to
- 5:17Speaker 2: surveil someone.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's not good, definitely. I think surveillance
- 5:24Speaker 1: state in general sucks.
- 5:26Speaker 2: But what people never take into account, like I'm not
- 5:29Speaker 2: saying it's right obviously, but we have so many intelligence
- 5:33Speaker 2: agencies with such huge budgets, they have time for this.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Like yeah, we like to think, Oh, the government doesn't
- 5:41Speaker 2: have time to come show up at my tiny environmental meeting.
- 5:45Speaker 2: The fuck they don't. They got time, They got the people,
- 5:48Speaker 2: and they have the.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Money and the motivation.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't I don't doubt that. What's Ron Paul
- 5:53Speaker 2: a libertarian?
- 5:54Speaker 1: Is that what his kind of I mean, he's a Republican, yeah,
- 5:57Speaker 1: but he's you know, it's it's one of those he's
- 6:00Speaker 1: he is the closest to a classical libertarian that we
- 6:05Speaker 1: have had in Congress basically in a long time at least.
- 6:11Speaker 1: But you know, like most modern libertarians, he's libertarian up
- 6:17Speaker 1: to a point and way to a fault. Where to
- 6:22Speaker 1: the point where he like in his like presidential debates
- 6:25Speaker 1: and stuff, he was talking about defunding the Department of
- 6:29Speaker 1: Education and like he's a no, exactly, it's it, and
- 6:33Speaker 1: like he is, he's a he is a monstrous person
- 6:37Speaker 1: in so many ways as a politician, but he does
- 6:40Speaker 1: you know, have you know as a libertarian? I used
- 6:44Speaker 1: to be a libertarian. I don't know if I've ever
- 6:46Speaker 1: talked about this on the show because it you know,
- 6:50Speaker 1: when I was like a lateeen early twenties in you know,
- 6:54Speaker 1: in Indiana where it's just kind of so oppressively red state,
- 6:59Speaker 1: the libertarian is that I read about and understood was
- 7:03Speaker 1: like more leftist than anything else. It was just like, hey,
- 7:08Speaker 1: don't fuck with gay people, they're people like everyone else,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and you know, make drugs legal and all the you
- 7:15Speaker 1: know that sort of thing. But it has just become
- 7:19Speaker 1: such a right wing identity. It's it's just morphed into
- 7:23Speaker 1: this very right wing defund you know, everything that's good
- 7:29Speaker 1: and you know, beef up police state and all that stuff.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I do remember Ron Paul being one of those
- 7:36Speaker 2: alternative candidates that people on the left seem to swing
- 7:41Speaker 2: toward more than anything. Absolutely, it's almost like a leftist
- 7:46Speaker 2: Trump in that he's right like he he was definitely
- 7:50Speaker 2: sort of an outsider, but not really. He'd been a
- 7:52Speaker 2: politician for a long time, right. Also you dig into
- 7:55Speaker 2: his past and.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, yeah, no, he's not. I don't think
- 7:59Speaker 1: on the whole his his impact of politics was positive,
- 8:05Speaker 1: but you know, yeah, like I said, I when I
- 8:08Speaker 1: was like in my late twenties, he was the kind
- 8:10Speaker 1: of guy who would go on the Daily Show and
- 8:13Speaker 1: he would be, you know, more reasonable than your average
- 8:17Speaker 1: Republican and so you know, liberals would just be like, hey, yeah,
- 8:21Speaker 1: he's one of the good ones. This is great, but yeah,
- 8:25Speaker 1: they don't really interrogate his beliefs.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's what she did to get in trouble, right,
- 8:32Speaker 2: she was on the Ron Paul train a little too early.
- 8:35Speaker 2: So they next they get into the Department of Homeland
- 8:38Speaker 2: Security and these things called fusion centers, Yeah, which I said,
- 8:44Speaker 2: this is real.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not something that I a term that I
- 8:47Speaker 1: had ever really heard about before, but I do understand
- 8:54Speaker 1: the idea, the you know, high minded idea behind it.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Basically, fusion send are these agencies that are scattered throughout
- 9:02Speaker 2: the country. By the time of this episode, they had
- 9:04Speaker 2: like seventy something in the country and I looked it up.
- 9:07Speaker 2: There's still a thing. Yeah, there's still there's articles out
- 9:10Speaker 2: there debating their effectiveness. But basically what they are is
- 9:15Speaker 2: these agencies where all of the intelligence that like state
- 9:20Speaker 2: and local and federal authorities gather pertaining to that particular area.
- 9:25Speaker 2: It's all funneled through here and they act accordingly. Which, yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 2: it's scandalous, but it's also what the CIA was supposed
- 9:33Speaker 2: to be. Like, it's exactly what the CIA was supposed
- 9:36Speaker 2: to be. It was just a clearing house for all
- 9:38Speaker 2: the information gathered. I still think the more scandalous part
- 9:43Speaker 2: is that all the information is being gathered and not
- 9:46Speaker 2: so much that it's being sent to these fucking strip
- 9:49Speaker 2: mall government rights.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, like it just seems like a pretty
- 9:54Speaker 1: natural byproduct of homeland security. Like the whole you know,
- 10:00Speaker 1: the whole idea of homeland security is condensing all of
- 10:03Speaker 1: these disparate intelligence agencies into one thing, which is scary
- 10:08Speaker 1: on its own, and this just seems like kind of
- 10:11Speaker 1: a natural extension of this. You would need branches around
- 10:14Speaker 1: the country. Not that I think that this is good,
- 10:17Speaker 1: but I understand the logic behind it.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a lot of that in this episode. Yes
- 10:23Speaker 2: it's not good, but it's also dice we kind of
- 10:26Speaker 2: have to roll as a.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Country sometimes, I mean to an extent. I mean I
- 10:31Speaker 1: don't know, I don't know necessarily that we have to
- 10:33Speaker 1: roll these kind of dice, but like it's more like
- 10:37Speaker 1: I just understand why they like they took a bad
- 10:41Speaker 1: idea and they ran with it.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that's kind of this country post World War too. Yeah,
- 10:46Speaker 2: taking a bad idea and running.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Right exactly and then amplified by a thousand after nine
- 10:52Speaker 1: to eleven.
- 10:53Speaker 2: So it's time for a team meeting. They're here to
- 10:56Speaker 2: talk about these fusion centers, and it seems like the
- 10:59Speaker 2: prevailed take is that they're angry because they thought this
- 11:03Speaker 2: would be a thing that was meant to monitor terrorists, right,
- 11:07Speaker 2: but instead it's monitoring American citizens. And I have two
- 11:10Speaker 2: problems with that. There aren't enough terrorists in the country
- 11:16Speaker 2: to justify seventy two fusion centers. And if you think
- 11:19Speaker 2: they are, you're a naive idiot.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yeah, And unfortunately, there are I think enough people in
- 11:25Speaker 1: this country who do believe something like that. Terrorism fear
- 11:30Speaker 1: is still hugely prevalent.
- 11:32Speaker 2: What there are enough of are Muslims.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Exactly and immigrants, right.
- 11:39Speaker 2: And also that idea that, oh, well they're monitoring American citizens,
- 11:44Speaker 2: American citizens can be terrorists, Like that's.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Absolutely absolutely well, and they this is something that is
- 11:52Speaker 1: going to come up again and again during this episode.
- 11:54Speaker 1: But like the two examples that they keep coming to
- 11:58Speaker 1: of groups that would you know, innocent American activism, groups
- 12:02Speaker 1: that would be targeted by this system are pro gun
- 12:08Speaker 1: and pro life people. Those are the two specific ideologies
- 12:12Speaker 1: that are called out as in danger of being monitored,
- 12:15Speaker 1: when first of all, we know for a fact that
- 12:19Speaker 1: this is not exclusively but majority targeted at anarchists and
- 12:25Speaker 1: left wing protesters, right and also abortion denied, like pro
- 12:31Speaker 1: life people bomb clinics again, and pro gun people are
- 12:36Speaker 1: violent as well. Like there's just like, you know, at
- 12:39Speaker 1: a certain point, you gotta monitor some of those people.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Not that you know, I don't know, maybe the government
- 12:45Speaker 1: doesn't have to, but there's reason there. They they blow
- 12:49Speaker 1: things up and then that's bad.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, there's always going to have to be
- 12:53Speaker 2: some degree of monitoring in law enforcement. Like we've all
- 12:58Speaker 2: seen the wire, that's all. It's called the wire for
- 13:00Speaker 2: a reason, right, It's because they were monitoring drug dealers
- 13:04Speaker 2: in Baltimore and that's how they they brought them down,
- 13:07Speaker 2: and drugs ended in Baltimore forever after.
- 13:10Speaker 1: That exactly, and everything was great.
- 13:12Speaker 2: But I mean, I do I do get the concern
- 13:15Speaker 2: over this obviously. Also. Yeah, So the next person he
- 13:20Speaker 2: interviews is Mike Jerman, a former FBI agent who used
- 13:25Speaker 2: to prevent terrorism. It's like, yeah, you did, for sure,
- 13:28Speaker 2: Sure you did. He looks like a guy who could
- 13:30Speaker 2: just meld into terrorism circles.
- 13:32Speaker 1: With him, Oh for sure. Oh yeah, go on, you're
- 13:35Speaker 1: thinking he's going undercover. I get it. I mean he
- 13:39Speaker 1: just has that kind of swarthy look.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Yeah, he's got that natural, smooth charm exactly. And he
- 13:46Speaker 2: says our intelligence agencies have no oversight and that they
- 13:50Speaker 2: sometimes collect information that isn't even related to crime. I'm shocked.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I'm shocked to hear this.
- 13:56Speaker 1: This is similar to a previous episode where so much
- 14:01Speaker 1: of this is just we know now that this is
- 14:04Speaker 1: true and it's not a hypothetical, and it's not even
- 14:09Speaker 1: really directed. It seems like they're collecting data on everybody.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mean, now we're to the point where
- 14:16Speaker 2: we're giving it away, and then there's that even have
- 14:20Speaker 2: to We did an episode of Unpopular Opinion about phone
- 14:23Speaker 2: location data, and the FBI can just go buy that,
- 14:26Speaker 2: like they don't have to. They do have to get
- 14:29Speaker 2: a warrant if they want to get it directly from
- 14:32Speaker 2: your phone carrier, right, but they can also just go
- 14:35Speaker 2: out on the fucking public market and buy it because
- 14:39Speaker 2: the government didn't tell them they couldn't and so yeah,
- 14:42Speaker 2: this like none of it's surprising, but it is a
- 14:44Speaker 2: thing we probably could have stood to be a little
- 14:47Speaker 2: more angry about. When absolutely, but that hats all the
- 14:50Speaker 2: way back to the Patriot.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Act exactly, and people were angry about it, you know
- 14:55Speaker 1: again as a as a young teenager, it was something
- 15:00Speaker 1: that I was super concerned about, and no one cared
- 15:05Speaker 1: until it started to affect everyone except for, you know,
- 15:09Speaker 1: other than the Muslims.
- 15:11Speaker 2: I wonder if anyone has read the entire Patriot Act.
- 15:14Speaker 1: It's so god, it's so dense, and it's like, isn't
- 15:18Speaker 1: it Like it's so long. I don't even know the
- 15:21Speaker 1: exact page number, but I think it's huge. Oh it's
- 15:24Speaker 1: three hundred and forty two pages long. That is not
- 15:27Speaker 1: as long as I thought it was.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Is that abridged?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Because it might be a yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I had heard very vastly larger numbers.
- 15:37Speaker 2: But they're an audiobook, And does Dick Cheney narrate it?
- 15:40Speaker 2: Maybe I'm wrong if so, but yeah, I would listen
- 15:43Speaker 2: to that.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Oh that never mind. Fucking Google sucks. Fucking Google, fucking
- 15:49Speaker 1: Google sucks. It was it gave me a result because
- 15:53Speaker 1: the article featured the phrase Patriot Act, but it was
- 15:56Speaker 1: talking about some whole other fucking bill. I'm pretty sure
- 15:59Speaker 1: it's over it thousand pages long. Yeah, it's pretty Long's
- 16:02Speaker 1: that was like one of the whole things about when
- 16:04Speaker 1: it was being passed is no one was reading the
- 16:07Speaker 1: goddamn thing. That's the whole thing. We did so much
- 16:12Speaker 1: shit in this country out of pure animal panic and
- 16:17Speaker 1: fear like that was what was dominating basically every aspect
- 16:21Speaker 1: of our culture for like over a year after that,
- 16:25Speaker 1: like years, like so much of our governing was based
- 16:29Speaker 1: on this just primal fear.
- 16:32Speaker 2: And so Mike says, these fusion centers are meant to
- 16:36Speaker 2: grease the skids for martial law in the future. Actually,
- 16:39Speaker 2: I think Jesse Venturis uses that phrase right.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Jesse Venturia loves to invoke martial law.
- 16:45Speaker 2: And my concern still upon hearing that these places exist
- 16:50Speaker 2: is I'd be more worried about them being used to
- 16:53Speaker 2: round up like DACA recipients.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Exactly or something like that exactly.
- 16:58Speaker 2: That is not a ship that has.
- 17:00Speaker 1: This is the thing. This is my whole take about
- 17:03Speaker 1: this episode is that it is about immigration, and they
- 17:08Speaker 1: never talk about immigration. It just never comes up. But
- 17:12Speaker 1: literally everything that they talk about, or basically everything that
- 17:16Speaker 1: they talk about is actually the Obama administration preparing for
- 17:22Speaker 1: a massive immigration crisis.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yeah, basically preparing for what Trump.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Right well, preparing for what Obama did by the end
- 17:30Speaker 1: of his term that Trump then ramped up. That's that's
- 17:33Speaker 1: what this is. And they they are everybody that they
- 17:37Speaker 1: talk to on this is just is just so you know,
- 17:40Speaker 1: they got their blinders on. You know, they are just
- 17:43Speaker 1: tunnel vision on how it can affect libertarians and right
- 17:48Speaker 1: wing people.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Yeah. And one of the people Jesse Ventura talks to
- 17:52Speaker 2: next is some guy that he just like ambushes a
- 17:56Speaker 2: Department of Homeland Security outside a fusion center. And one
- 18:00Speaker 2: thing I love is this isn't how the interviews normally go.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Normally he's getting denials and ship and this guy is
- 18:07Speaker 2: just so casual about Yeah, I mean, we might spy
- 18:10Speaker 2: on you, like we'll spy on anyone for anything. And
- 18:12Speaker 2: I kind of respect that, Like, like, I like, how
- 18:15Speaker 2: honest he was already Yes, yeah, I mean respect might
- 18:21Speaker 2: be a strong one.
- 18:22Speaker 1: You know, to an extent.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, I do. Like when he says we don't
- 18:26Speaker 2: watch people, we watch trends. That actually sounds creepy.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Sure, that makes it. I mean I don't know that
- 18:32Speaker 1: sounds like people. You know, trends don't just appear out
- 18:36Speaker 1: of nowhere.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think Jesse Ventura actually says that. He says,
- 18:40Speaker 2: we aren't trends people.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Yeah, he's in both of these episodes that we're talking about.
- 18:47Speaker 1: In these next couple episodes, he does get a few,
- 18:51Speaker 1: like really good lines, like his his very simplistic way
- 18:56Speaker 1: of interrogating things actually is a fact when tackling these
- 19:02Speaker 1: institutions that are, on their face, amoral and disgusting.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So now here comes Alex Jones.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Yeah, this is where the episode just starts to nosedive.
- 19:14Speaker 2: And I'm telling you, I still maintain he's a fucking
- 19:16Speaker 2: government plant.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Absolutely, And this is my whole thing about this episode,
- 19:22Speaker 1: And and this is the reason why it got pulled
- 19:25Speaker 1: is because they got Alex Jones on there. And Alex
- 19:30Speaker 1: Jones is doing what he does, which is taking something
- 19:33Speaker 1: that is real and tacking a bunch of fake, fucking
- 19:38Speaker 1: bullshit onto it that's super extremist and is designed to
- 19:43Speaker 1: get mainstream pushback. And then this episode comes out and
- 19:49Speaker 1: it gets bold because you know, he's he's pushing a
- 19:52Speaker 1: bunch of shit that is dangerous and a lie, but
- 19:57Speaker 1: it's covering up all of this immigration stuff.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and the idea he's pushing in this case is
- 20:04Speaker 2: that the government is setting up concentration camps to hold
- 20:09Speaker 2: average Americans like you and me. Yeah, well, I mean
- 20:13Speaker 2: not like you and me, I mean me and Alex
- 20:15Speaker 2: Jones and Jesse been sure.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Right right exactly. No, I guess I'm safe in this,
- 20:19Speaker 1: in this backwards world. And it's and it's just again
- 20:24Speaker 1: the freezing as with the team meeting is so it's
- 20:29Speaker 1: just such a tell where I can't remember if it's
- 20:32Speaker 1: Alex Jones or Jesse Is like, you know, they they're
- 20:36Speaker 1: you know, they're not just going to be holding immigrants
- 20:39Speaker 1: in these in these places, they're going to have American
- 20:42Speaker 1: citizens in there too. As if that's the problem.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Yeah, that's kind of the overall problem with this episode
- 20:50Speaker 2: is they're not bothered by what they're being used for.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Even at this point, it comes out in this episode
- 20:56Speaker 2: what they're being used for, and it's yeah, immigrants.
- 21:00Speaker 1: And yeah, I love the scene where they he talks
- 21:03Speaker 1: to those people, but well, because there's stuff there, but yeah, Yeah,
- 21:06Speaker 1: this shit is wild.
- 21:08Speaker 2: They do bring up a couple things that are real.
- 21:11Speaker 2: John is REX eighty four, which it's a it's a
- 21:14Speaker 2: thing Oliver North somehow brought to life. And it's this
- 21:18Speaker 2: directive that came out during the Reagan administration that explains
- 21:21Speaker 2: how in the event of some sort of national emergency,
- 21:25Speaker 2: if we have to initiate martial law, this is how
- 21:28Speaker 2: we'll do it, right, And yeah, that's scary, but you
- 21:30Speaker 2: got to expect the government's going to have something like
- 21:32Speaker 2: that in place.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, like the government's job, you know, in theory,
- 21:38Speaker 1: is to make the plans for basically any contingency that
- 21:42Speaker 1: we can think of. It's why we have plans for
- 21:44Speaker 1: if aliens come to earth, like, you know, we got
- 21:48Speaker 1: all sorts of plans.
- 21:50Speaker 2: They also bring up the Council of Governors, which yeah,
- 21:53Speaker 2: actually doesn't sound that scary to me at all.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Oh, it's not scary at all. And there's this whole
- 21:59Speaker 1: thing he he he's really hung up on how the
- 22:03Speaker 1: Council of Governors is divided up into these ten regions
- 22:07Speaker 1: and he he does this very funny overlay of that
- 22:12Speaker 1: with I think it was the FEMA map that showed
- 22:15Speaker 1: the regions where they where FEMA was focusing on the digitis,
- 22:21Speaker 1: and he overlays them like this is some sort of
- 22:24Speaker 1: secret code that he's unlocked, when in reality, it's just like, well,
- 22:29Speaker 1: that's the agree upon regional divisions, Like that's where the
- 22:35Speaker 1: code of Governors, that not council of Governors comes from.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Man. Yeah, I mean we probably would need some level
- 22:42Speaker 2: of coordination depending on the emergency, Like if the power
- 22:46Speaker 2: grid goes down absolutely all around the country, you're gonna
- 22:49Speaker 2: you're gonna appreciate that there's some coordination.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Look, man, I I am so skeptical of of anything
- 22:58Speaker 1: that the government does. And I'm sure that there are
- 23:00Speaker 1: nefarious purposes for a Council of Governors. I'm sure they
- 23:05Speaker 1: aren't great you know, things happening there. But also, like
- 23:10Speaker 1: in a even in a good government that is ethical
- 23:14Speaker 1: and functions normally and properly and you know, is actually
- 23:18Speaker 1: working for the people, we would need something like this
- 23:22Speaker 1: because we're fucking huge and so like we would need,
- 23:27Speaker 1: you know, a group of people who are familiar with
- 23:29Speaker 1: their own specific area to meet up and be able
- 23:33Speaker 1: to coordinate.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and to be like we're so divided as a
- 23:38Speaker 2: country and the way this thing works, it's I think
- 23:41Speaker 2: five Republicans and five Democrats. Yeah, so it's it's even
- 23:46Speaker 2: in that way, like right, it just seems like, yeah,
- 23:49Speaker 2: you're right, there probably are some nefarious purposes, but also
- 23:53Speaker 2: what do we do again? Yeah, there's a dice, we
- 23:55Speaker 2: got a roll.
- 23:56Speaker 1: How else are you going to coordinate between fifty states
- 23:59Speaker 1: across like three thousand miles wide? Like it's just insane
- 24:04Speaker 1: and honestly, you know, and this is definitely something that's
- 24:07Speaker 1: come up on the show that that map looks like
- 24:11Speaker 1: a pretty good way to just divide us up into
- 24:13Speaker 1: multiple countries. I think that seems pretty recent.
- 24:16Speaker 2: I wouldn't mind just doing that.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it might be good. I've always that has always
- 24:22Speaker 1: been my solution to the complete breakdown of our government
- 24:27Speaker 1: and society is we need to be central Europe. Like
- 24:31Speaker 1: that's what we need to be, and you know, maybe
- 24:33Speaker 1: have a European Union type thing where we're working together.
- 24:37Speaker 1: But like, we can't keep going like this.
- 24:40Speaker 2: No, So next they send Dayan the Skeptic out into
- 24:44Speaker 2: the streets.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Okay, okay, real quick, real quick, did they like, like
- 24:49Speaker 1: kill Alex the Skeptic?
- 24:51Speaker 2: I think so, because he's only in what the first episode, Yes.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Exactly, he's in the first episode and then is not
- 24:57Speaker 1: in has not been in any of the other episodes
- 25:00Speaker 1: so far, and he's been replaced by this Dan guy,
- 25:04Speaker 1: who is somehow even worse.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he's he's way worse. I miss Alex.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna yell the fuck out of Dan on
- 25:11Speaker 1: the Wall Street episode because that guy sucks ass.
- 25:16Speaker 2: He for some reason hops in his car to conduct
- 25:18Speaker 2: a video interview with a prison camp activist named William Lewis.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Like, I definitely need some more information on what that means.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Yeah, he talks about HR six forty five, which is
- 25:33Speaker 2: indeed a bill that passed that called for building these
- 25:36Speaker 2: detention facilities all around the country. Right, there was also
- 25:40Speaker 2: an executive order in like twenty eighteen that called for
- 25:43Speaker 2: building them.
- 25:43Speaker 1: But they they're not they're not detention centers. The FEMA
- 25:48Speaker 1: things is the thing that's not how they're described, and
- 25:51Speaker 1: that's not their stated purpose.
- 25:54Speaker 2: No, I mean, it depends on which ones you're talking about.
- 25:57Speaker 2: The one they visits called a residential facility.
- 26:00Speaker 1: But here's the thing, and again, this is the whole
- 26:05Speaker 1: smoke screen of this episode, and it's given away by
- 26:10Speaker 1: one of the people that they talk to at that facility,
- 26:14Speaker 1: which is that is not a FEMA facility, that is
- 26:19Speaker 1: an ICE facility. They mentioned talking to ICE, like the
- 26:23Speaker 1: lady is like, why don't we redirect you to our
- 26:25Speaker 1: ICE uh, you know, local ICE headquarters and you can,
- 26:30Speaker 1: and like that's the giveaway it is this is not
- 26:33Speaker 1: related to the FEMA camps.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Yeah, the the FEMA camps. They don't ever really show
- 26:39Speaker 2: no or they're like it's either that or they're just
- 26:42Speaker 2: conflating these two things, right, because these are definitely immigrant immigrant.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Absolutely, that's yeah, that is what they are at, that's
- 26:49Speaker 1: what they visit. But that was what really tipped me
- 26:52Speaker 1: off to like the whole smoke screen of this is, yeah,
- 26:55Speaker 1: they're just conflating the real, very real ICE migration detention
- 27:01Speaker 1: centers with the FEMA camps that are outlined in the bill.
- 27:06Speaker 1: And another giveaway is that the whole reason they're in
- 27:10Speaker 1: the bill is so they can be built in the future,
- 27:14Speaker 1: whereas they visit a facility that is built and running,
- 27:19Speaker 1: so it doesn't really apply.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Now here's a scene I really hated. This guy that
- 27:25Speaker 2: he's doing this interview with in the car directs him
- 27:29Speaker 2: to one of these facilities, and Dan the skeptic gets
- 27:34Speaker 2: to this facility and he pulls up to this fenced
- 27:37Speaker 2: entrance that it looks like an entrance, and you do
- 27:41Speaker 2: see some like bunker looking sort of things down in
- 27:44Speaker 2: this sort of valley area. And it's in Los Angeles, right,
- 27:49Speaker 2: And then like cops show up and Dan's like, oh,
- 27:52Speaker 2: I'm gonna get out of here. And here's the thing.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I don't know if maybe the person editing this show
- 27:58Speaker 2: just does like Jesse Ventura and his team, but they
- 28:03Speaker 2: flash a sign on the screen as Dan is backing up,
- 28:07Speaker 2: and here's what that sign says. Access to Van Norman
- 28:11Speaker 2: Reservoir complex must be made through security gates located on
- 28:15Speaker 2: Rinaldi Street and suppulvet A Boulevard. So of all the
- 28:18Speaker 2: times to not just go up to security and be like, hey,
- 28:21Speaker 2: what is this, Yeah, this is the time they decide
- 28:24Speaker 2: not to do that when there's a perfectly helpful sign
- 28:28Speaker 2: telling you that that's where you should go. Of course
- 28:30Speaker 2: they're suspicious if you look into it. This is the
- 28:34Speaker 2: reservoir for LA's water. Yeah, Like it's how they get
- 28:39Speaker 2: water to La and keep it clean.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Yeah, like LA. For those who maybe don't know is
- 28:45Speaker 1: in a desert and having a fresh source of water
- 28:49Speaker 1: is vital to keeping everyone in La alive.
- 28:55Speaker 2: I don't get why you don't do your usual interview things.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Well, it's this fucking coward Dan, who I fucking hate.
- 29:06Speaker 2: I hate Dan, Yeah, I.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Really don't like him. He he is somehow worse in
- 29:12Speaker 1: a least believable less believable skeptic than Alex. It's insane.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Speaking of Alex, now he and Jesse are going to
- 29:20Speaker 2: check out an American concentration camp.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Did Alex the skeptic like animorph into Alex Jones?
- 29:27Speaker 2: Oh no, that was Bill Hicks. But that is a
- 29:30Speaker 2: compelling thing.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Oh no, no, Bill, that's weird.
- 29:35Speaker 2: There are some there are some weird there's some weirdness
- 29:38Speaker 2: between Alex Jones and Bill Hicks.
- 29:40Speaker 1: But but Alex Jones doesn't have the sense of empathy
- 29:44Speaker 1: of Bill Hicks.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Maybe Bill Hicks lost his when he died.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Yeah. So when they say they're going to check out
- 29:53Speaker 2: an American concentration camp, what they're really checking out is
- 29:56Speaker 2: the t Don Huddo Residential Center. And we were using
- 30:01Speaker 2: it then for the same thing we're using it for now.
- 30:03Speaker 2: It is a ICE detention center yep. And Alex Jones
- 30:07Speaker 2: covers this part by just like casually throwing out that, well, ya, yeah,
- 30:13Speaker 2: they'll use it for immigrants first and then Americans exactly next.
- 30:18Speaker 1: And again one of the many tells of where this
- 30:22Speaker 1: episode is misleading you.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Right, And here's the thing. I can absolutely see a
- 30:28Speaker 2: scenario where Americans get up in arms enough that the
- 30:32Speaker 2: government goes out and has to arrest people in Mass.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I have a list here of every ICE detention center
- 30:39Speaker 1: and then Huddo is there and it is currently in use.
- 30:43Speaker 1: It is a residence.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I looked it up.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah, So that's just what this is.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's just that the more immediate threat from
- 30:52Speaker 2: these places is that we're going to round up immigrants
- 30:55Speaker 2: and deport them in mass.
- 30:57Speaker 1: And the thing about it, you know, it's not that
- 31:01Speaker 1: we don't round up protesters and you know, persecute protesters,
- 31:06Speaker 1: almost all of them left wing and anarchists, but we
- 31:09Speaker 1: just put them in prison. We don't or kill them.
- 31:11Speaker 1: We actually don't need detention centers for that. Like that's
- 31:14Speaker 1: the thing.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's again one of the big problems with
- 31:19Speaker 2: this is it's a question that comes up with governments
- 31:21Speaker 2: all the time as well, what do you mean when
- 31:23Speaker 2: you're talking about terrorists, And in the case of this show,
- 31:27Speaker 2: I want to know what Jesse Ventura and team mean
- 31:30Speaker 2: yeah when they're talking about terrorists, because I kind of
- 31:32Speaker 2: feel like, yeah, left wing protesters and anarchists would be
- 31:36Speaker 2: considered terrorists exactly the Jesse Ventura regime, and not.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Bomb throwing pro life advocates, who again are the only
- 31:47Speaker 1: one of the only two groups that are specifically brought
- 31:50Speaker 1: up as innocent groups that are in danger of being
- 31:54Speaker 1: rounded up by this nefarious program. Yeah, it's now this
- 31:59Speaker 1: is the first time that this show has been openly
- 32:02Speaker 1: right wing. That is what my major problem with this episode.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean Obama was in office, so.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I mean yeah, but he's been off the whole show.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Like, oh, yeah, I guess he has. So now we're
- 32:15Speaker 2: in the woods and Alex and Jesse. This is the
- 32:18Speaker 2: scene we saw in the open where it sucks. They're
- 32:22Speaker 2: peeking around the forest there there there's this scene where
- 32:25Speaker 2: they just both kind of rise up. Yeah, they look
- 32:28Speaker 2: all wide eyed and what they're seeing.
- 32:31Speaker 1: And they don't really show what they're seeing. He kind
- 32:34Speaker 1: of get a glimpse.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's it's a it's like a scene out
- 32:39Speaker 2: of Gone Fishing or something like a Buddy Comedy star
- 32:43Speaker 2: and aging dudes.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's just Alex Jones. Like, you know,
- 32:51Speaker 1: he isn't He's got that entertainment bone in him in
- 32:55Speaker 1: addition to his his insane bone. But like he is
- 33:01Speaker 1: compelling to watch, at least in this time period now.
- 33:05Speaker 2: As a clone made from Bill Hicks DNA.
- 33:09Speaker 1: The problem is that he has just grown so large
- 33:13Speaker 1: and pink over the years that he is just yeah, yeah,
- 33:19Speaker 1: that's why he's he's like mutating and like he has
- 33:22Speaker 1: just lost all entertainment value as the years have gone on.
- 33:25Speaker 1: But like this is like prime. He's kind of funny
- 33:29Speaker 1: to watch, even if he's a lunatic spreading dangerous ideas.
- 33:33Speaker 2: I still maintain the most charming Alex Jones has ever been.
- 33:36Speaker 2: I saw a early video of him when he just
- 33:39Speaker 2: had a public access show. Yeah, and it was Halloween
- 33:42Speaker 2: and he was just carving pumpkins and taking calls from
- 33:45Speaker 2: uhh wears that Alex Jones.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I would watch that. That sounds probably probably that. I
- 33:52Speaker 1: don't know if I would do that. I don't want
- 33:53Speaker 1: to be in a room with him, but like.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I mean I would carve pumpkins well, taking
- 33:57Speaker 2: questions from people.
- 33:58Speaker 1: For sure, we should do that. That would be fun.
- 34:00Speaker 2: That would be a lot of fun.
- 34:02Speaker 1: But like he you know, he was in the he
- 34:04Speaker 1: was also in I mentioned this before, he was in
- 34:06Speaker 1: The Scanner Darkly Richard Link Leader's a Scanner Darkly because
- 34:09Speaker 1: he was just like a local Austin guy who everybody
- 34:13Speaker 1: just kind of knows as a fun kook.
- 34:16Speaker 2: That's how the infiltrators always start.
- 34:18Speaker 1: And yeah, and this is this has sold me entirely
- 34:22Speaker 1: on him being a plant this episode. I was kind
- 34:25Speaker 1: of on the fence before.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Yeah, because he does show up, like right when they
- 34:31Speaker 2: not long after the thing where the woman lets slip that, hey,
- 34:34Speaker 2: you should call Ice, right you have questions about what's
- 34:37Speaker 2: happening here. Yeah, And then boom, that's when Alex Josh
- 34:40Speaker 2: shows up exactly and he takes the It turns out
- 34:44Speaker 2: the thing they're traversing the woods to look at they
- 34:47Speaker 2: call them coffins. They say, look, there's all these coffins
- 34:51Speaker 2: and they don't look like coffins that I've ever seen, No,
- 34:54Speaker 2: And it turns out that what they are is basically
- 34:58Speaker 2: grave liners, So you dig the grave, then you put
- 35:01Speaker 2: this liner in it, and then you put the coffin
- 35:04Speaker 2: in that, right, and it's meant to keep it safe.
- 35:08Speaker 2: And they're like, well, well why do they need so many?
- 35:10Speaker 2: In this company that makes them? They're called Vantage Products
- 35:15Speaker 2: corp Ugh, So Advantage Products Corpse.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Every every fucking company that has a name like that
- 35:21Speaker 1: is so fucking sinister. The more boring the name, the
- 35:26Speaker 1: more sinister it seems.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Yeah, And here's the thing, it's not that they aren't sinister,
- 35:32Speaker 2: it's just I don't think the conclusion they come to
- 35:35Speaker 2: here is correct, right exactly, because what they're arguing first
- 35:40Speaker 2: first their question is well why do you need because
- 35:44Speaker 2: the company is like, well, we did we make them
- 35:46Speaker 2: for when we need to send them out? What do
- 35:48Speaker 2: you yes, what do you want? You think we custom
- 35:50Speaker 2: make these things? We have a fucking field where we
- 35:53Speaker 2: keep them exactly, And they're like, well, why would you
- 35:57Speaker 2: need that many all at once? And it's like, man,
- 35:59Speaker 2: seven thousand some people die in the United States every day,
- 36:03Speaker 2: like they're gonna need to have them on hand getting
- 36:07Speaker 2: buried all the time.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Exactly, Like where do you think this is how it's
- 36:13Speaker 1: done with basically any manufacturing industry. It's not like they
- 36:16Speaker 1: make each one as they sell it. It doesn't make
- 36:19Speaker 1: any sense.
- 36:20Speaker 2: And yeah, I like that. At the end of the
- 36:22Speaker 2: episode they mentioned that this company came and hauled all
- 36:25Speaker 2: these things away, and it's like, yeah, I wonder why.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Probably because Jesse Venture and Alex Jones showed up and
- 36:32Speaker 2: now that's gonna be on TV and everyone else is
- 36:34Speaker 2: gonna come Jesus. And here's the thing. It's not that
- 36:37Speaker 2: they're not sinister, no, because here's what they do. They
- 36:41Speaker 2: they draw this path from Vantage Corp. To a company
- 36:46Speaker 2: called Hercules Incorporated. Vantage Corp used to be a research
- 36:51Speaker 2: and development wing of Hercules Incorporated. Hercules Incorporated is a
- 36:55Speaker 2: subsidiary of Halliburton. Sure, so the conclusion they're trying to
- 37:00Speaker 2: draw here is why is Halliburton buying so many coffins
- 37:05Speaker 2: from Vantage Corp? Vantage Products? And here's the thing. If
- 37:10Speaker 2: you dig into Hercules Incorporated, one of the things they
- 37:13Speaker 2: worked on were rockets, rockets, missiles sometimes even like intercontinental
- 37:19Speaker 2: ballistic missiles. And one of the things we know goes
- 37:23Speaker 2: into making a rocket is foam, yep, and structural foam.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Because they have to be made out of very lightweight products,
- 37:30Speaker 2: so they exactly fly. And if you go to I'll
- 37:33Speaker 2: link to the there's a Newton Chamber of Commerce page for
- 37:37Speaker 2: Vantage Products Corp. There you go, and they say their
- 37:40Speaker 2: main contribution to the funeral industry structural foam. Ay, so
- 37:46Speaker 2: clearly they're selling coffins to hallbur It's like, no, they.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Help Haliburton make fucking rockets, Yeah, which is not good.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's I don't I don't doubt that this is
- 37:55Speaker 2: a government owned place that's like, also, we should make
- 37:58Speaker 2: some funeral shit to cover.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, it's a separately bad thing. But again, they're
- 38:04Speaker 1: just you know, and Alex Jones is just ready to
- 38:07Speaker 1: totally leap on the most extreme interpretation of these you
- 38:12Speaker 1: know events.
- 38:14Speaker 2: And so is Jesse venture And well.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Jesse Ventura is, as I've mentioned on basically every episode
- 38:20Speaker 1: of this the most credulous person who has ever lived
- 38:24Speaker 1: in history, and will literally believe anything that you tell
- 38:28Speaker 1: him as long as you say it, Like, did you
- 38:31Speaker 1: know that frogs actually eat brains? It's true.
- 38:36Speaker 2: They're making the frogs gay.
- 38:38Speaker 1: They're making the frogs gay, and the gay frogs eat brains.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Yeap. So now we're back to the detention centers. And
- 38:45Speaker 2: at this point, I'm like, are they going to bury
- 38:47Speaker 2: us all or kill or arrest us all? Because if
- 38:50Speaker 2: they're just going to throw everyone in detention centers, what
- 38:53Speaker 2: are the coffins for.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Well, this should tie into something that we haven't really
- 38:59Speaker 1: mentioned about this whole thing, which is every time they
- 39:04Speaker 1: mentioned the word concentration camp or allude to it, they
- 39:09Speaker 1: show black and white footage of Nazi Germany and concentration camps.
- 39:14Speaker 1: And I think that's literally what they are thinking. It's
- 39:19Speaker 1: like they needed the concentration camp where they're going to
- 39:23Speaker 1: work us to death.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Oh that makes sense.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Where well, in fact, weirdly enough compared to other prisons,
- 39:30Speaker 1: at least from what I know, they put immigrants in
- 39:33Speaker 1: detention centers and you know, deprive them of most of
- 39:38Speaker 1: their needs and don't make them work. Yeah, yeah, like
- 39:42Speaker 1: it's very Actually it must be a pr thing that
- 39:46Speaker 1: they don't make them work, right, It.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Could be like, actually, there was a scandal that came
- 39:51Speaker 2: out at one point about the work that was being
- 39:54Speaker 2: offered to immigrants and detention centers.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Oh, well, you know, maybe they are making them work.
- 40:00Speaker 1: I haven't done enough research on that.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Yeah, they were getting paid I think it was a
- 40:04Speaker 2: dollar an hour, and if they chose not to work,
- 40:08Speaker 2: they were like deprived of basic needs. But you don't worry, Olivia.
- 40:14Speaker 2: The immigrants are being harshly treated right in these facilities.
- 40:18Speaker 1: But not work to death does not work.
- 40:21Speaker 2: They have the option to be worked to death or not,
- 40:25Speaker 2: but choose not to, they'll be something else to death.
- 40:28Speaker 1: And these in these places, they aren't prisons, because prisoners
- 40:32Speaker 1: they make what twenty five cents to fifty cents an hour,
- 40:36Speaker 1: Like you're doubling that baby, that's you know, that's chump
- 40:40Speaker 1: change compared to your bucket hour.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Yeah, they're going to be in the illuminati soon with
- 40:45Speaker 2: that much cash. And so they they do touch on
- 40:48Speaker 2: something that's kind of timely, but also something that sort
- 40:52Speaker 2: of undoes the entire premise here, which is, well, what
- 40:55Speaker 2: they're planning is they're going to kick off a pandemic
- 40:58Speaker 2: and they're going to use these detention centers. That's how
- 41:02Speaker 2: they're going to justify rounding people up and putting them
- 41:04Speaker 2: in these detention centers. And for one, my question is
- 41:07Speaker 2: what would what good would that do well? Pandemic? First
- 41:11Speaker 2: of all, here's my this.
- 41:14Speaker 1: This part was also extremely infuriating. You know, their big
- 41:18Speaker 1: evidence for this is a FEMA document that outlines how
- 41:25Speaker 1: they would respond to a pandemic, and that's good to
- 41:30Speaker 1: do it right. And as far as what they would need,
- 41:34Speaker 1: you know, large you know, makeshift facilities for or camps
- 41:38Speaker 1: housing people who they are studying, you know, who have
- 41:43Speaker 1: the illness or you know, I don't know, quarantining people,
- 41:47Speaker 1: having facility lab facilities out and able to study things like.
- 41:52Speaker 1: There are many ways that you would need these kinds
- 41:56Speaker 1: of facilities.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Yeah, And and one of the ways this episode has
- 42:00Speaker 2: aged well in that regard is we are in the
- 42:02Speaker 2: middle of a pandemic that has taken uh. I think
- 42:06Speaker 2: we're up to six hundred thousand plus lives in the
- 42:09Speaker 2: United States.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I kind of lost track after half a million.
- 42:13Speaker 2: And it doesn't feel like we're propelling toward martial law
- 42:16Speaker 2: right now. I guess if you're on the right and
- 42:18Speaker 2: you see having to wear a mask as the ultimate
- 42:22Speaker 2: and government oppression, that's sure.
- 42:24Speaker 1: And that is the whole thing about Alex Jones and
- 42:27Speaker 1: right wing conspiracies is the smallest, most innocent inconvenience is
- 42:33Speaker 1: a massive conspiracy to steal their freedom. But also we
- 42:37Speaker 1: did almost see martial law, but it was in response
- 42:40Speaker 1: to left wing protests against police brutality throughout the country
- 42:46Speaker 1: last year that inspired martial law and you know, curfews
- 42:51Speaker 1: and shit to curb people protesting the illegal murder of
- 42:57Speaker 1: civilians by the govern basically, yeah, which is exactly what
- 43:02Speaker 1: they're worried about in this but they that's not a
- 43:06Speaker 1: thing that they care about, and in fact, Alex Jones
- 43:08Speaker 1: is on the record is being totally in favor of
- 43:11Speaker 1: every resistance to left wing protests.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Right, yeah, Yeah, it's it's the kind of thing that,
- 43:19Speaker 2: depending on what side you're on, if what they're describing
- 43:22Speaker 2: actually happens, you're gonna be like ha haaaa. Finally, like,
- 43:26Speaker 2: if they round up right wingers and like the type
- 43:30Speaker 2: of people who are prone to storm in the capitol,
- 43:33Speaker 2: a lot of people on the left are going to
- 43:34Speaker 2: be like, good, yeah, what they should do.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Well, it's interesting because I don't disagree with you, But
- 43:42Speaker 1: also there is an imbalance in the amount of violence perpetrated.
- 43:50Speaker 1: You know, that's not a perfectly balanced scale left and
- 43:54Speaker 1: right when it comes to who deserves to be punished,
- 43:58Speaker 1: you know, especially because as the left is fighting for
- 44:01Speaker 1: good things and the right is a bunch of whiny babies.
- 44:06Speaker 1: But like, you know, I don't want the government necessarily
- 44:10Speaker 1: rounding up anybody. I think that's bad and would lead
- 44:15Speaker 1: to me dying probably, and so I don't like that.
- 44:20Speaker 1: But like, you know, some people just deserve to be
- 44:24Speaker 1: uh punished, not jail, because jail sucks, but like if
- 44:28Speaker 1: you're a violent, fucking right wing militant, then you know
- 44:35Speaker 1: you should have some stuff come in your way.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Anyways, so where were we in the episode.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Well, now Jesse's it's time to storm Conress.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Yeah, he's storming the Capitol.
- 44:47Speaker 2: Yeah, he's going to storm the Capitol and kick some
- 44:49Speaker 2: congressional aid ass. Uh. First person he tries is Jim
- 44:54Speaker 2: Garlock of Pennsylvania, but both times Jim hears that Jesse
- 44:58Speaker 2: wants to talk about FEMA concentrate camps and is like, no,
- 45:01Speaker 2: I'm gonna take off.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Yeah, there's no way that this comes out good for me.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Yeah, which is smoking gun proof that FEMA concentration camps exist.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Right exactly, and not smoking gun proof that Jesse Ventura
- 45:13Speaker 1: is like poison to someone's public image.
- 45:16Speaker 2: But then the co sponsor of the Bill. Steve Cohen
- 45:20Speaker 2: is fine talking to Jesse, and I'm like, you should
- 45:22Speaker 2: have just started there. That seems like a better get.
- 45:24Speaker 2: In terms of an interview regarding this bill, What did
- 45:27Speaker 2: we think about Steve Cohen? I mean, I it seemed
- 45:31Speaker 2: like he was being a little shady, But again, it's
- 45:34Speaker 2: very possible that it's because, well, I don't want people
- 45:36Speaker 2: to know we're going to start rounding up immigrants.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Well, yes, that is the thing. Again, this is my
- 45:42Speaker 1: whole thesis on this episode is everything that they talk
- 45:46Speaker 1: about is actually about immigrants, and everybody that they talk
- 45:49Speaker 1: to who's involved with this thing is kind of relieved
- 45:53Speaker 1: that they're not that they are just talking about the
- 45:56Speaker 1: fake stuff. And when it like, I don't like I
- 46:00Speaker 1: did not get a good vibe off of Steve Cohen,
- 46:03Speaker 1: but I also got like, I don't disbelieve him when
- 46:09Speaker 1: he says the FEMA camps in the bill don't exist,
- 46:13Speaker 1: and I believe his confusion over what Bill Jesse was
- 46:18Speaker 1: talking about is valid because literally all Jesse says is like,
- 46:23Speaker 1: do you agree with what's said in the bill? I
- 46:26Speaker 1: don't know. I need to know what you think about
- 46:28Speaker 1: the bill.
- 46:29Speaker 2: He never specifies he doesn't specify the bill. And then
- 46:33Speaker 2: he also talks about a real facility that he went
- 46:37Speaker 2: to visit had the name of, and he's just got
- 46:39Speaker 2: this innate ability to describe something that's real but make
- 46:44Speaker 2: it sound like the most insane bullshit you've ever heard. Yes,
- 46:48Speaker 2: and the way he describes the detention center they saw,
- 46:51Speaker 2: it's insane, and like it makes no sense, Like, just
- 46:55Speaker 2: give him the name. I say, here's the name of
- 46:57Speaker 2: the place we went to. Here's the bill exactly.
- 46:59Speaker 1: He ever says the name. That's the thing. And so
- 47:03Speaker 1: the whole time that Jesse is like trying to grill
- 47:05Speaker 1: him on this facility that he visited, which again is
- 47:10Speaker 1: not a facility that was enacted by this bill, because
- 47:15Speaker 1: nothing this bill is like brand new in this when
- 47:18Speaker 1: this thing started, when this episode aired. All he says
- 47:23Speaker 1: is we went to a facility in Texas and they
- 47:26Speaker 1: had it was a residential facility and it was surrounded
- 47:30Speaker 1: by barbed wire. And the guy is like, I don't
- 47:33Speaker 1: know what you're talking about. This this doesn't I don't
- 47:37Speaker 1: know this facility because you haven't given me any information
- 47:41Speaker 1: other than a basic description of its premises. It's just
- 47:45Speaker 1: really strange.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Yeah, he makes it sound like they found some unmarked
- 47:50Speaker 2: building in the middle of the desert. Exactly, Dude, it's
- 47:53Speaker 2: got I googled it, it's got an address, it's got
- 47:56Speaker 2: a website. You can fucking email them.
- 47:58Speaker 1: But but you know, I really do feel like it's
- 48:01Speaker 1: either a Jesse could not remember the name of the facility,
- 48:05Speaker 1: which seems like it could be likely.
- 48:08Speaker 2: Yeah, t don Huddo Residential Center. I was gonna say
- 48:13Speaker 2: the brain at all.
- 48:13Speaker 1: I did not say it because I could not remember
- 48:16Speaker 1: the name of it. But also, uh, you know, he
- 48:20Speaker 1: might just have known that that would kind of backfire
- 48:23Speaker 1: on him if he actually specifically named the building. But
- 48:27Speaker 1: not naming it also backfired because it made him look
- 48:30Speaker 1: like a fucking idiot. Yeah.
- 48:32Speaker 2: I would have liked if he named it, because then
- 48:34Speaker 2: Steve Cohen might have been like, oh, you're talking about
- 48:36Speaker 2: the immigrant place. Huh yeah, and then just shuts down
- 48:39Speaker 2: the inner exactly.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, you're talking. Oh you mean the ice facility.
- 48:43Speaker 1: I mean, uh, but like yeah, and I understand it.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Steve Cohen is the guy who basically pushed for this
- 48:51Speaker 1: episode to be pulled after it aired. It only airs once,
- 48:55Speaker 1: and uh, I get it. Because Jesse is again spreading
- 49:02Speaker 1: a lot of dangerous misinformation that is inaccurate as a
- 49:07Speaker 1: smoke screen for the real thing that is actually happening.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Yeah, he's he's misdirecting people.
- 49:14Speaker 1: And I don't think Jesse's doing it on purpose, because
- 49:16Speaker 1: again I think, Jesse, you could just get Jesse Ventura
- 49:19Speaker 1: to say whatever you want with very little provocation. I
- 49:24Speaker 1: think it would be easy.
- 49:25Speaker 2: I do like that. In response to the criticism behind
- 49:30Speaker 2: this misty schedule, a Turner spokesperson Yeah described conspiracy theory
- 49:37Speaker 2: as quote, an entertainment program that appears on an entertainment network. Yeah,
- 49:42Speaker 2: And I don't know if I buy that excuse, because
- 49:47Speaker 2: you can't go all right, this company Yan Guard, they're
- 49:50Speaker 2: making coffins that they're selling to Halliburn. Right, That is
- 49:53Speaker 2: a pretty damaging accusation. Yeah, that's up there with the
- 49:58Speaker 2: MyPillow guy being like, hey, dem Onion stealing our democracy.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Well and like and implying that, I mean, just all
- 50:05Speaker 1: of the Holocaust stuff is so tasteless, Like I'm not
- 50:09Speaker 1: saying that there are no Holocaust comparisons to be made
- 50:12Speaker 1: with our modern immigration system. But he's not talking about
- 50:18Speaker 1: our immigration system. He's talking about this fantasy of Americans
- 50:24Speaker 1: being rounded up, like it's not like it's ever happened,
- 50:27Speaker 1: but it's happened very specifically, and you know, he's just
- 50:31Speaker 1: making these very broadsided, you know, shots at things.
- 50:35Speaker 2: And when we talk about the possibility of a holocaust
- 50:39Speaker 2: involving immigrants, the whole angle of this show is, well,
- 50:44Speaker 2: they're spying on the people who are most likely to
- 50:47Speaker 2: lead to a holocaust of immigrants, right, because that's like,
- 50:52Speaker 2: that's that's Trump supporters, that's the right right now. Exactly,
- 50:56Speaker 2: if anything like that is going to happen, it's gonna
- 50:59Speaker 2: come from that side.
- 51:00Speaker 1: I know it's gonna come from Alex Jones.
- 51:03Speaker 2: I know some segment of the white population would love
- 51:07Speaker 2: to believe that it's white people who are going to
- 51:09Speaker 2: be genocided. But it's like, man, what what when do
- 51:13Speaker 2: you think that switch happened in the American government?
- 51:15Speaker 1: Right?
- 51:16Speaker 2: Like, get the fuck out exactly?
- 51:18Speaker 1: Ron, Well, yeah, and of course Alex Jones is also
- 51:22Speaker 1: a proponent of the white genocide theory.
- 51:24Speaker 2: And meanwhile, if this turned into a immigrant genocide, those
- 51:29Speaker 2: motherfuckers wouldn't care. They know, Yes, finally, we're making America
- 51:32Speaker 2: America again.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Right, This is the whole thing. This is what it
- 51:36Speaker 1: was so fucking infuriating about this episode is they are
- 51:41Speaker 1: talking about like especially that ice facility. Part was just
- 51:46Speaker 1: driving me baddy because they were give those people were
- 51:50Speaker 1: giving them the information. They were not talking about things.
- 51:54Speaker 1: They were like, no comment, no comment, no comment. But
- 51:56Speaker 1: that lady said, go talk to fucking Ice. And yes, Ventura,
- 52:01Speaker 1: the guy who wanted to storm Plumb Island didn't go
- 52:04Speaker 1: and fucking storm the local Ice headquarters.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Nope.
- 52:08Speaker 1: That that represents a massive ideological blind spot on his
- 52:13Speaker 1: part and honestly makes me not want to smoke weed
- 52:16Speaker 1: with him anymore.
- 52:17Speaker 2: The same. Yeah, like he doesn't really even question it
- 52:20Speaker 2: when she says go talk to Ice. No, he's it's
- 52:23Speaker 2: it's more like, well, okay, well if it's Ice, then
- 52:25Speaker 2: it's fine.
- 52:26Speaker 1: And Ice was not as well known as of a
- 52:30Speaker 1: organization than even you know, it's a you know, so
- 52:34Speaker 1: many people don't realize how fucking new Ice is. It
- 52:38Speaker 1: was created after nine to eleven, Like, it's not an
- 52:42Speaker 1: institution of our of our country, you know that is
- 52:46Speaker 1: vital to its operation. We can get rid of it
- 52:49Speaker 1: today and nothing about our lives would change. Fuck Ice
- 52:53Speaker 1: I hate them.
- 52:53Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Ice can go away. So that's our episode.
- 52:57Speaker 2: That's that's the episode of Conspiracy the show of Conspiracy
- 53:01Speaker 2: Theory with Jesse Ventura. All episodes of Conspiracy the Show
- 53:05Speaker 2: are too hot for TV. Yeah, and that's why me
- 53:07Speaker 2: and Olivia aren't on TV with this exactly.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Yeah. No, it's just hot enough for a podcast.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Yes, yes, but this episode of Conspiracy Theory with Jesse
- 53:17Speaker 2: Ventura too hot for TV. Nevertheless, we will link to
- 53:21Speaker 2: it in the show notes so you can give it
- 53:22Speaker 2: a watch, give some some innocent daily Motion user and
- 53:28Speaker 2: influx of traffic that will baffle them for sure.
- 53:32Speaker 1: And you know, and and and check out daily Motion.
- 53:35Speaker 2: It's got everything, it really does.
- 53:37Speaker 1: I don't know how they get away with it.
- 53:39Speaker 2: I don't know. Maybe they're not that big, maybe pretty big.
- 53:42Speaker 2: They've been around a long time. I bet people work
- 53:45Speaker 2: there and have page Yeah, they've.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Been around forever, and I like they've never gone down
- 53:52Speaker 1: even Yeah. Weird anyway, very weird.
- 53:55Speaker 2: Vimeo too. Vimeover happens to Vimeo, but Vimeo.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Has gotten more whereas daily Motion has not. Yeah, anyway,
- 54:03Speaker 1: I just downloaded a movie off of daily Motion. It's good,
- 54:06Speaker 1: very nice.
- 54:07Speaker 2: Anyway, So on the next episode, we're going to backtrack
- 54:11Speaker 2: a little and cover episode three of this h this
- 54:15Speaker 2: highly controversial season yeah of conspiracy Theory with Jesse Venture.
- 54:19Speaker 2: It's the Wall Street episode and this okay, you're implying
- 54:23Speaker 2: Wall Streets getting up to something shady.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's got a basically exact reverse proportionate amount of
- 54:34Speaker 1: racist material within it. It's like it's whereas this one
- 54:40Speaker 1: was like mostly cover up for a racist smoke screen,
- 54:44Speaker 1: this one, the Wall Street one, is mostly real shit
- 54:47Speaker 1: with just a little bit of bad stuff sprinkled throughout.
- 54:51Speaker 2: Very very minor. So do we have anything to plug
- 54:54Speaker 2: before we get out of here?
- 54:56Speaker 1: Uh? You can find me on Twitter at high their
- 54:58Speaker 1: hidar and other than that, you know, just kind of
- 55:03Speaker 1: leave me alone.
- 55:05Speaker 2: You can follow this show on Instagram. I'm finally going
- 55:08Speaker 2: to start using that, I guess at Conspira Pops. So
- 55:13Speaker 2: do that and you can look at pictures associated with
- 55:16Speaker 2: this podcast and things of the like, and I think
- 55:19Speaker 2: that's it. Yeah, should we get out of here? Yeah,
- 55:22Speaker 2: Olivia say goodbye bye, goodbye everybody we love here
