Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Prosecutors Ask Judge Nathan To Give Maxwell The Max Sentence
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:05Glenn Maxwell and her team were asking for a super
- 0:09light sentence at the upcoming sentencing next week, and they
- 0:15ask for the absurd number of roughly five years. Now,
- 0:20anyone with a brain in their head understands that five
- 0:23years for her is one of the most ludicrous asks
- 0:26of this century. This lady needs to do at least
- 0:30twenty five thirty years at least, and thankfully the federal
- 0:35government agrees, because the Feds in their written response to
- 0:40the Maxwell team, well they came out and straight upset it.
- 0:43She deserves at least thirty in prison. And I think
- 0:46that reflects the mood of the whole entire world. For
- 0:51the most part. People are tired of people like Maxwell
- 0:56getting away with shit like this on a regular basis.
- 1:00These kind of people get off and it's been going
- 1:02on for way too long, and finally one of them
- 1:06gets caught up, one of them is being held accountable,
- 1:10and her lawyers think she should get less time than
- 1:13a seventy year old man who is engaging in quote
- 1:17unquote illegal sports gambling. Tell me how that makes sense,
- 1:23because it does not. I mean, look, folks, there's a
- 1:28five year mandatory sentence. If you get caught with crack
- 1:31rock the same amount of cocaine, well you'll probably just
- 1:35get probation. But if you get caught with crack rock,
- 1:39you have mandatory five federally. So you mean to tell
- 1:43me Maxwell should get less time than somebody who gets
- 1:45caught with some crack And then you wonder why I
- 1:50talk about the two tier justice system with such rancor.
- 1:55It's disgusting and it's gross, and people like Maxwell have
- 1:59been able to manipulate the system and game the system
- 2:02for way too long. Well, hopefully that party is coming
- 2:07to an end. Today we have an article from ABC
- 2:10News headline Feds Glaine Maxwell deserves at least thirty years
- 2:17in prison. This article was authored by Larry Neumeister over
- 2:22at the Associated Press. British socialite, co conspirator, general, all
- 2:29around scusbag, fellow child abuser and bipedal serpent Glain Maxwell
- 2:33should spend at least thirty years in prison for her
- 2:36role in the sexual abuse of teenage girls over a
- 2:39ten year period by her one time boyfriend co conspirator
- 2:44uh you know, uh coboss whatever you want to call him,
- 2:49but one time boyfriend. That's so ridiculous. At this point,
- 2:53with everything we all know, we're still gonna call her,
- 2:56call her his one time girlfriend. Huh okay, financier Jeffrey Epstein,
- 3:02you mean pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Boy, we're batting a thousand
- 3:05here in this AP article, prosecutors said Wednesday. In written arguments,
- 3:10prosecutors said she should serve between thirty years and fifty
- 3:14five years in prison, reflecting the federal sentencing guidelines. They
- 3:19made their recommendation to the judge who will preside over
- 3:22the sentencing on Tuesday in Manhattan Federal Court. Yeah, that's
- 3:27right in line with what they should be asking. There's
- 3:30no way that she should be doing anything less than
- 3:34twenty twenty five years. That's the bare minimum, because even
- 3:38then she still has a shot to walk out of
- 3:41that jail at some point if she gets twenty right,
- 3:45And to me, that's unacceptable. This lady should be in
- 3:49prison for the rest of her life. Keith ray Neery,
- 3:52same deal, And same with that scumbag R. Kelly and
- 3:57any one of these other silly ass rich people who
- 4:00think they can get away with abusing poor people any
- 4:03time they want. Well, the jig's up for you too.
- 4:06People might not have been paying attention before you got
- 4:09our attention now. The sixty year old Maxwell was convicted
- 4:14in December of sex trafficking and other crimes after a
- 4:17month long trial that featured testimony from four women who
- 4:21said they were abused in their teens, and four could
- 4:25have easily been ten if the SDNY and the federal
- 4:30government would have pursued this correctly, could have easily been
- 4:34ten twenty women who came forward and gave their account
- 4:37of what happened to them. But of course we all
- 4:41know that the SDNY, the DOJ, the whole entire idea
- 4:46was to forget that this ever happened. Unfortunately for them,
- 4:50Epstein got busted a second time. If it wasn't for
- 4:53that second arrest, we'd never even be here. None of
- 4:56these people that are running around grand standing right now,
- 4:59you know, these politic titians or these blue check marks,
- 5:02none of them really gave a damn about any of this.
- 5:05And if it wasn't for the second time around and
- 5:07a cost of being involved, a lot of these people
- 5:09still wouldn't have cared. But the fact is this was
- 5:16going on for years and years and years right under
- 5:19the noses of all these big mouths in New York.
- 5:24And I find it ironic whenever any of them get
- 5:26out there and try and tell us about other people's
- 5:28crimes when we know for a damn fact that Epstein
- 5:31and Maxwell were running around right in their district and
- 5:35doing this. And you mean to tell me none of
- 5:37them knew huh, say Vans and the rest of them. Okay, sure,
- 5:41if that's what you want me to believe. Defense lawyers
- 5:45said in a sentencing submission last week that she should
- 5:48spend no more than five years in prison and shouldn't
- 5:52pay for Epstein's crimes since he was the mastermind and
- 5:55principal abuser and orchestrated the crimes for his personal gratification.
- 6:00Once again, this is such a BS defense. If you're
- 6:05the underboss, you're the capo, you're in trouble like everybody
- 6:09else's What do you think because El Choppo is in
- 6:15trouble that the rest of his people aren't. Everybody had
- 6:19their hand in it, right, everybody that was involved, And
- 6:22it's no different here. Maxwell and Epstein put this whole
- 6:25entire thing into place, and they both were working over
- 6:30time to make sure that girls were coming in. How
- 6:34much more clear does it have to be? I mean,
- 6:36I don't know where's the disconnect here now. Of course,
- 6:41her legal team is going to do everything they can
- 6:44to make it look like it was all Epstein and
- 6:47Maxwell was just along for the ride. But that doesn't
- 6:51match what we have heard from the survivors. And like
- 6:55I've said from the very beginning, for me, anyway, it's
- 6:59bypass the bullshit. Bypass all of these stupid ass journalists
- 7:03who think they have an idea of what's going on,
- 7:05and listen directly to what the survivors have to say,
- 7:09and then using court documents piecing things together, well, you
- 7:12come to a place that is very dark and very
- 7:16very disturbing. Epstein took his own life in twenty nineteen
- 7:22in jail as he awaited a Manhattan federal sex trafficking trial. Allegedly,
- 7:28but prosecutors said Maxwell played an instrumental role in the
- 7:31horrific sexual abuse of multiple young teenage girls between nineteen
- 7:36ninety four and two thousand and four at some of
- 7:39Epstein's palatial residences. They called her crimes monstrous. Well what
- 7:45else would you call them? Because that's exactly what they are.
- 7:48A monstrous. What she did to these girls, what these
- 7:51girls said she did to them, and then what she
- 7:54was convicted of, what else could you possibly call it?
- 7:58As part of a disturbing agree with Jeffrey Epstein, Maxwell
- 8:01identified groomed and abused multiple victims while she enjoyed a
- 8:06life of extraordinary luxury and privilege. In her wake, Maxwell
- 8:10left her victims permanently scarred with emotional and psychological injuries,
- 8:15prosecutors wrote, and all you have to do is listen
- 8:19to what these ladies have to say about their time
- 8:21spent with Glene Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein, and that'll tell
- 8:25you everything you need to know about their mental state.
- 8:28And even listen to what the older girls, older women
- 8:31had to say about how things broke for them after
- 8:34they got caught up in this web. Because while crimes
- 8:38against children are the most heinous crimes in the whole world,
- 8:42these crimes against women in any regard are sickening. And
- 8:46it doesn't matter their age. That damage can never be undone,
- 8:54but it can be accounted for in crafting a just
- 8:57sentence for Maxwell's crimes, they added. Prosecutors also urged the
- 9:01judge to reject Maxwell's pleas for leniency on the grounds
- 9:05that she has suffered in extraordinary ways in jail, while
- 9:08awaiting trial and afterward. Defense lawyers said she faced death
- 9:13threats and harsh conditions that have caused her to lose
- 9:16hair and weight. Anyone who is going through a stressful period,
- 9:20this is going to occur. You're gonna lose some hair,
- 9:22You're gonna lose weight. That's how the body reacts. And
- 9:26she's not being treated any worse than anyone else in
- 9:29that jail. The problem is she's not being treated like
- 9:33she's at the RITZ. And that's a big problem for
- 9:36So that's gonna be a big problem for moving forward
- 9:39because breaking news, you are not at the RITZ and
- 9:43you're never going to be again, if the prosecutors and
- 9:47the rest of us have anything to say about it.
- 9:51Maxwell's appearance at trial prove these claims were wrong, prosecutors said,
- 9:55adding the defendant, the defendant is perfectly healthy with a
- 9:59full head of hair. Okay, They said, Maxwell has enjoyed
- 10:03remarkable privileges as a high profile inmate that vastly exceeded
- 10:07the benefits according to the average inmate. That's a fact,
- 10:10and all you have to do again is go talk
- 10:12to somebody who did jail time shouldn't be too our defined,
- 10:15considering how many of our fellow citizens are locked up
- 10:19and used, as you know, slave labor. Basically, just go
- 10:23talk to them about their experiences in the system and
- 10:26about how shitty their life was. And then you tell
- 10:28me about Maxwell. How she had the computer for fourteen hours,
- 10:31complete access to her lawyers, nobody around her, the dream
- 10:35come true in prison if you ask me, correct, it
- 10:40is unsurprising that a woman who had led a life
- 10:42of incredible luxury should complain about her life as a prisoner,
- 10:46but that fact does not come close to meriting leniency
- 10:50at sentencing, much less the extraordinary degree of leniency the
- 10:54defendant seeks. I like that language in the response by
- 10:58the prosecutors because this is bs. What she's talking about
- 11:03here is straight up garbage. Four and a half years,
- 11:06I mean, come on. Prosecutors also attacked claims by Maxwell's
- 11:12lawyers that she suffered a credible death threat in jail,
- 11:15saying that an internal probe of the purported threat revealed
- 11:18that an inmate remarked to someone in passing something to
- 11:21the effect of I'd kill her if someone paid me
- 11:24a million dollars. As a result, they said, someone who
- 11:27overheard the remark reported it to the inmate, reported it,
- 11:31and the inmate was moved from the housing unit. So
- 11:35ament a comment made in passing. Like I said in
- 11:38from the beginning of all of this, I doubt it
- 11:40was a credible threat. The IRA, Someone's gonna assassinate her
- 11:44with a sniper. I mean, really, the IRA. You couldn't
- 11:47come up with something more creative. The IRA hasn't been
- 11:52involved in violence since the time of troubles has ended.
- 11:55So where do you even come up with the IRA?
- 11:57Have we been watching too many movies? I know? Again, though,
- 12:01these are the same people who told us there was
- 12:03a ninja in Jeffrey Epstein's bushes, so I guess any
- 12:06BS story is possible with them. They also cited what
- 12:10they described as Maxwell's complete failure to address her offense
- 12:14conduct and or at her utter lack of remorse. Instead
- 12:17of showing even a hint of acceptance or responsibility, the
- 12:20defendant makes a desperate attempt to cast blame wherever else
- 12:25she can, and it certainly seems like that she really
- 12:27hasn't accepted her fate yet. And when you're looking at
- 12:31this kind of prison sentence. It behooves you to face
- 12:35the reality that you're going away forever and prepare yourself mentally,
- 12:39because the second this sentencing happens, folks, listen to me
- 12:42when I tell you the party really is over for
- 12:45Glenn Maxwell. The whole protected status as an inmate that's
- 12:51gonna go by the wayside once she's convicted and sent mainline,
- 12:54then hey, that's you know, it's gonna be up to
- 12:57the way she conducts herself. What happens from there, because
- 13:02the people that she's going to be bunking with, depending
- 13:04on where she gets sent, well, they're not going to
- 13:07be the friendliest of people. Maxwell's efforts to cast aspersions
- 13:14on the motives of the government for prosecuting her and
- 13:16her claim that she is being held responsible for Epstein's
- 13:20crimes are absurd and offensive. Prosecutors said Maxwell was an
- 13:24adult who made her own choices. She made the choice
- 13:27to sexually exploit numerous underage girls. She made the choice
- 13:31to conspire with Epstein for years, working as partners in
- 13:34crime and causing devastating harms the vulnerable victims. They said, man,
- 13:39it sounds like I wrote that brief. Huh, very nicely
- 13:43done over there, getting things worded correctly, because this is
- 13:48how you should be responding to this bullshit that they're
- 13:51asking for. Prosecutors said, nearly all of the twenty two
- 13:56and a half million in assets that Maxwell claimed in
- 13:58a bell proposal that was never granted was given to
- 14:02her by Epstein. Well, you know what's so funny, And
- 14:06as far as I'm concerned, the prosecution screwed up here.
- 14:10If they would have made this a RICO case, they
- 14:11could have used that against Maxwell because she would have
- 14:14received ill gotten gains, right, and then the second that happens,
- 14:17you can freeze all of her money, every single dollar
- 14:20she has, even if she is not the main target
- 14:23of the operation. Once those RICO predicates are met, then
- 14:27it's game time. The federal government has a lot of
- 14:30lateral ability to sweep people up in these cases. And
- 14:37you might not think that's how it works, but folks,
- 14:39let me tell you it is. If you receive one
- 14:43dollar in ill gotten gains, you can get caught up
- 14:46in a RICO case. But for some reason, the government
- 14:49never brought one against Maxwell and Epstein. I'll let you
- 14:53figure out what that reason is. The defendant's access to
- 14:57wealth enabled her to present herself as a supposedly respectable
- 15:01member of society who rubbed shoulders with royalty, presidents and celebrities.
- 15:06That same wealth dazzled the girls from struggling families who
- 15:10became the defendant and Epstein's victims. Prosecutors said, look, they're
- 15:15not wrong, and all of these yutze ass royalty and
- 15:19presidents and celebrities. They should be embarrassed. But you have
- 15:23to have some kind of you know, self reflection for
- 15:26that to occur, some sort of personal moral compass. But
- 15:30these people don't care, they don't have that. The sentencing
- 15:35submission also included quotes from letters written to the judge
- 15:39by women who testified during the trial, including Kate, an
- 15:43ex model from Great Britain, who said, the consequences of
- 15:46what Maxwell did have been far reaching for me. I
- 15:50have struggled with, and eventually triumphed over, substance use disorder.
- 15:54I have suffered panic attacks and night terrors with which
- 15:57I still struggle. I have suffered low self esteem, loss
- 16:01of career opportunities. I have battled greatly with feeling unable
- 16:06to trust my own instincts in choosing romantic relationships. She wrote,
- 16:10and look, that is pretty much the way it sums
- 16:13up for all of these girls, right. All of them
- 16:16have suffered greatly because of the behavior of Glenn Maxwell,
- 16:20and the thought that Maxwell is going to even think
- 16:24about getting a light sentence here is disgusting and hopefully
- 16:29it won't be the case. And with the language being
- 16:31used by the prosecutor of the prosecutors in this filing,
- 16:35it sure seems to me like they're going to try
- 16:38and get the full thirty twenty five thirty at least.
- 16:42So that's positive and we'll have to see what happens
- 16:45next Tuesday, but certainly a positive development here with the
- 16:49clapback by the prosecution. All Right, folks, that's gonna do
