- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: If you desire to build a business on your expertise or on your genius or maybe you are currently a business owner or an entrepreneur and you want to make a pivot, I'm going to be sharing with you in this video the greatest business model for people who are really good at what they do.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you've been doing something for a very long time, but in this video I'm going to teach you how to teach.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: and grow rich.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: And this is kind of a follow up video from the last upload I had.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're new to the department family, if you're new to me, my name is Omar Altaquari.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: I've been online for over 20 years.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: Been teaching online for almost 10 years.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: I've acquired millions of subscribers on various different channels and started this podcast on is the almost three years ago at this point.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: And it's been
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: a new business, about three, four years ago and have reached millions of dollars in revenue and continue to make tons of money.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't, I don't, I say that with caution though, because what I'm going to teach you in this video is not going to guarantee your bank account to grow, but I will, but I can say that for myself and my clients and people in my industry, that they would probably all agree that the greatest business model to initially pursue
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: is a business that just allows you to show up and teach.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: And so just a little bit of a review, but it might be brand new to you, is let's break down what is business comprised of to begin with.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: Well, all businesses start with Lily Generation.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: then you got lead conversion, then you have fulfillment, and then you have attention or a sentient or retention, a sentient or retention, meaning they're going to the next stage, the next phase or they stay.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the beautiful thing about building a business around your genius around your gifts is that you can teach to grow your leads to generate leads.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: You can then teach to convert those leads and then you can teach once they become your customers and your clients and then you continue to teach and they stay around.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to attempt.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: to articulate, to my best ability in this moment, weighing those at watch the video last week and number one question that really came up.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think the part in the last week's episode of the department was really I said stop teaching how to.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: because the biggest mistake most teachers make online is that they overteach.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: And if that's you, just lock in, settle in, pull out a note pad, take out your phone notes, or listen, and then maybe you come back and listen to it again, because I got a lot, I got a lot to say about this subject.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I wanna make sure I hit as much as possible.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: This conversation is sponsored by the Content to Cast Challenge.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's a five day live coaching experience with myself that's done on Zoom.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: turn your content into cash or if you're looking to make money online with your business that you currently have with your service provider coach consultant no matter what it is you do the beautiful thing about the content to cash challenge is just a great place to get your foundations and also this I like giving away my gear list so if you like what you see and what you
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to feel like I'm just rambling, but I just have so many thoughts, I put some things down, and I just do want to say I'm so grateful for you if you're not subscribed already, hit the subscribe button, Ayo.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, let's let's first start with why number one, I don't get
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: doesn't gatekeep the concept of teaching in a way that gets people to do things, to move to the next step, to download the thing or to become a client of yours.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't require you to gatekeep because when I say that the number one mistake that most teachers make is overteaching, I'm not saying to pull back.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: I am not saying to withhold.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: to identify your objectives.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: Most people are teaching and they just have the wrong objective.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why they're overteaching, because you think the objective is to give everything, show everything, but we talked about in last week's episode that overwhelms people and overwhelm people don't buy.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm going to try to break down contextually when it's time to do stuff, when do you teach how to?
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: When, like so, oh my, I still don't understand.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: So great, the first thing I want you to adopt is this reality.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's up right there.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: The context.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: Are you listening on YouTube?
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: Are you listening on podcasts?
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: Are you watching this clip right now on TikTok or Instagram?
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: Did I post it on my stories?
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: Did I talk about it in my stories?
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: The context?
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: Is that where you're watching it from?
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: Or did you come to the live-in person podcast recording that we did?
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: Why would people, we just had it, like I just recorded when Dan Marto, why would 100 people come to a live recording, knowing that this is going to be posted online, by the way, someone flew in from Florida, Denver, Vancouver, drove in three people from California, two people came in from Utah, I mean, currently in Las Vegas, by the way.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: Why, why would people,
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: move and get in a room because the context of the content determines the value of the content.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: You're starting to see this, okay, so like this is because the biggest, the biggest misconception you might have about delivering valuable information online is that people need more information.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: And information is commoditized especially because of AI, but what people need is they need organization, they need consolidation, they need proximation, they need transformation,
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: So it's the way in which information is delivered is where the transformation or even the value comes from.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: And you know where I get this from, by the way?
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about you.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: I've been going to...
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I was raised Catholic and then when I was 20 years old, I got radically saved in a non-denominational spirit-filled Bible teaching church and currently at a church, one of the pastors at a church called City Light in Las Vegas, Nevada and I've been following the Lord since 2011 and I love the Bible and that's where a lot of my, a lot of the principles and truths that I teach from on this
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: Don't know if you know about this parable, but Jesus tells us a parable that he proceeds before he tells it to say, if you don't understand this, you won't understand anything else.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't understand this, one thing,
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: you won't understand this anything else.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: And then he goes on to share about the parable of the sewer or the parable of the soil.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: And just I don't want to bore you with this, but maybe this is very helpful to for you to know because if you can
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: ground or have the foundation of what you're about to learn right now.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: In truth, it's going to sit much better.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: So this is pretty meta right now.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: As in, I'm teaching on how to be teached so that you could teach better.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: Mobeda.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so, so it starts off with Jesus saying the seed goes out.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: The seed goes out.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: In the context of the Scripture, the seed meaning the word.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the seed, when he's saying the seed goes out, and he's the word of God goes out.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: It lands on four kinds of ground, four kinds of ground, right?
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we could take a principle that doesn't have to be exactly
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: You know, connected to that context.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the reality.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: Seed is information.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: Seed is words.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Seed is what you hear, the things going on.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like, everything is a seed.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: My business coach, Myron Golden said, your thoughts are a seed, your decisions are a seed, your actions are a seed, everything like this, this podcast is a seed.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's selling a seed, right?
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: So, Jesus says the seed goes out.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: Now here's what's crazy about what the seed goes out.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: Why can you go to a conference?
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: Why can you go to a church?
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: Why can you go to a college sit in the same room when the same information that is given to the masses but yet a small group of people actually thrive?
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: Well, this is where it's because it's because of what Jesus said in the gospels, that's why.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: Cause, I mean, I think I've been going to church for sorry, I dropped my phone.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: And this is raw, so.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Rod Dog broke the only guy that'll talk about Jesus and say Rod Dog in the same sentence, but like it's a raw.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, here we go.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: No, but I've been going to church since 2011.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I've seen people leave the faith.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen people deconstruct.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: I've seen people sell sabotage their lives.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then I've seen people thrive.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: all under the same teaching, what makes the difference, the difference is in the soil, it's in the soil.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: And so Jesus says there's four kinds of soil and the first kind of soil and they all represent something.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: So the first kind of soil is the path.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: This is where the information or the seed goes out and lands on the path and it says it lands on hard packed ground where birds immediately snatch it away.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: This represents a closed heart.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: People who hear message, but do not understand it, allowing it to be easily stolen away.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: So you might be even like listening to content online and stuff like this and you're like, you have a closed heart to begin with.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's why it doesn't sit.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm teaching you how to teach.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm teaching you how to teach.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: Because there's healthiest assumptions you can have when you're giving game and when you're educating, there's healthiest assumptions you can have and one of those assumptions is that not everyone's going to get what I'm going to put down and that's totally fine.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: The second is the rocky ground.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: This is shallow soil.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: See that lands on a thin layer of soil over rock.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: The plant springs up quickly, but then it withers by the sign and it lacks deep roots.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: This represents a shallow heart.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: So we got a closed heart, and then we have a shallow heart.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: Last week's episode is going bonkers right now.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: And I've been going through your guys' comments.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, I read all the comments.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate any time you take the time to say thank you.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: You said I needed to hear this.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: Man, this changed the way I thought, hey, I took action.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: I did this because of you.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: Just want to say thank you for that.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: But there's been some comments be like, I'm four minutes in, and there's nothing.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: The reason why you suck at teaching is because you're a sucky student.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: AO, you have a closed heart.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: You have a shallow heart, like you're, thank you, bro, for projecting your inability to learn and your shallow attention span.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I think there's something to say here.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: There's something to say here because if you want to speak in a way that really not just garners attention, but holds it, stewards it, transforms the person who's receiving it, it's not going to happen in a sound bite.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: But we're in a, we're you got to be very careful because the reason why I'm talking about you like what when I'm Jesus is talking about us, this this is less about the seed in this context, it's less about the seed and more about what it lands on, which is very telling.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: But if we're distributors of information, we have to understand this parable, okay?
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: So, so there's rocky ground.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's a shallow heart.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: Those who receive it, you're like, I got it.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: But then it falls away as soon as trouble or persecution arises, like literally, you allow your external reality to determine what happens
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: on the inside of you.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: When information is trying to take root, you allow the things that are going on around you to kill it, which is why it's important to find a great environment, find a room where the conversation is conducive to your future.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: The third,
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: place that third type of ground the seed lands on is weedy soil or the thorns.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: The seed takes root, but it's choked out by the weeds and this represents distracted hearts.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: People who hear the word, but it's ultimately choked out by the worries of life, the deceitfulness of wealth, and the worldly desires resulting in no spiritual growth.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like somebody commented on last video also was like another one with and isn't funny how like I focus on the negative and but that's just and we're humans but they were just saying how you know a million's not enough bro.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: You got to focus on being a billionaire.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: If you're focused on money to begin with you lose.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: Riches is simply a byproduct of the value you add to the world.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: And so if you're not experiencing the financial success, you desire to have, which I would say is a God-given desire for YouTube want to prosper, for you to want to be a blessing, for you to be so well-resourced that you can actually take care of other people's needs.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: Don't you want that?
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like I would say, then you're focused on the wrong thing, but it's Jesus says, if you're worried, if you are worried while you're listening to this right now or watching this, I want to encourage you to just remove yourself from those things.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like you will be taken care of, especially if your heart is too serve.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: If you're hardest to serve, to become a great teacher, it means to be a great servant.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: But you don't want to, a lot of times, great servants are the ones over delivering, but then if you dig deeper, those great servants are just insecure.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: They're insecure about the information or they're insecure about feeling the to prove their worth based on the information.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: So you can you can get a sense of that through tonality and through, you know, like the, the, the, the.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: the way in which you communicate, which is tonality, but inflection too, you can hear the calmness in my voice.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: I have nothing to prove.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: I have nothing.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't do I even need to do this right now.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: I genuinely don't.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like the business is fine.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: The team is great.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: We got a sick system that makes us a lot of money.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: So, but I do know that this is a great way to meet new people and
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not here to prove anything.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: You could do what you want.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: You're an adult based on what YouTube tells us that you're about 24 to 38 years old.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's like the majority of people that are watching.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_00]: Now the fourth soil.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: So let's review.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus has the seed goes out.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_00]: And then it goes on hard soil, shallow soil, weedy soil, and then it lands on good soil, which is receptive soil, receptive.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: And it says, see that lands on good soil, it takes root and it produces a harvest.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I did that was pause for dramatic effect because what determines good soil,
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: production.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_00]: Those who do with what they hear determines whether you have good soil or not.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: This is deep because from the perspective of a student, are you a student who has good soil?
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: Because if you desire to teach a make millions, you got to
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: a expert communicator and expert teacher, a thought leader, someone who's killing it, who doesn't first see themselves as a student.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: And so the first question is, how's your soil?
- 18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Are you someone who just consumes and consumes and doesn't do anything with what they consume?
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: You just overthink, well, no wonder you're terrible at teaching.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: Cause you don't implement.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: There's so much revelation in implementation.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: I will say that again since I stumbled.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_00]: There is so much revelation in implementation and you are losing the amount of insight you can have because you don't focus or you don't actually go and do.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: Now this is important because if the goal is to get people to feel like doing, we must teach in a way that helps people do that.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: And all it, you know, all I'm concerned with as an educator, the only group I am really concerned with is the receptive group.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: the people who are willing to listen and hear and then do, by the way, that's like faith identified, faith defined, or now I'm sorry, I retract that.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: The way faith comes, the way you build belief in you, based on the book of Romans, it says, faith comes by hearing and hearing the word.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: But then it also says, in James, it says, don't just be mirrors, mirror, hearers of the word, but be doers of the word.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: So you gotta take action on the things you learn.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: So, why did I share that?
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: I share that because what makes a bad teacher or an average teacher is truly a bad student or an average student.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I will sum it up like this and I apologize for the extreme language.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: But if you suck at learning, you will suck at teaching.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: So, I pre-face this whole delivery.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: on the reality that you must identify yourself as a great student.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: How many books are you gonna read before you do something?
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: How many podcasts are you gonna listen to before you do something?
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like, at some point you have to do so that you can get the information.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: I said do it for the data.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: This is why I can go back to not teaching.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, I hit the mic.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: Not teaching how to.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have to teach how to.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have to teach how to because
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: because it'll only confuse you.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to share it from experience.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: I was on a channel many years ago, you guys might know a channel called Think Media, and it's so good.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: We were, I was able to teach very practical tactical how to tips and tricks and hacks on the content creation thing.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: Which got a lot of people,
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: But my DMs were full of more people who just had even more questions, which is kind of why I like led me into starting a business, and then I learned how to really teach in a way that moves people.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: But there's levels of learning, and there's levels of teaching.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, I won't retake those things, because the person that does it the best is Myron Golden, he's on YouTube.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: You should follow him if you don't, but he teaches the four levels of learning and the four levels of value and he teaches the levels of teaching too, which, you know, you could, the four levels of teaching.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not going to repeat it.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to say it in a way that I have adopted, but I used to make trick videos, tips, hacks.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: They get a lot of views, but they don't, they don't transform.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: They don't, they don't create the feeling in a person.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I want you to first identify the objective.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: of why you are teaching in the first place.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have to identify those objectives for the context you're doing it in.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: There's different objectives for Instagram and YouTube and having a webinar presentation or a master class or a workshop or a boot camp.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I mean, there's just different contexts determine different objectives.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll just tell you right now, my objective
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: with YouTube is to produce content that is very, very long form so that you undeniably know who I am.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: Now that sometimes I'll have a guess, sometimes I'll have a co-host, sometimes I'll do it alone, but you can't fake who you are for a long time.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: Whether you agree or disagree, the facts are the facts.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: I believe Donald Trump won the US presidential election because he got on more long form formats.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: He had two hour conversations.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: half a dozen times.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: He played golf with Bryson to Shambo.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: He went on Joe Rogan.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: He had a conversation with Dave Ramsey.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: He put himself in a position that created undeniable integrity.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: Just cause, how do you, how are you gonna be a politician for three hours on the golf course?
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: This is not gonna happen.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like you gotta, you gotta be, you just gotta be you.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_00]: So that's my biggest objective with the podcast for myself.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: Now this is important.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: Your perspective as an educator comes down to who you are giving the information and then who you want to receive the information.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: is to make you aware that I do have a coaching experience, the content to cast challenge.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: 99.99% of you guys won't even click the link or check it out yourself, and that's totally fine.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't need you to.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: But for the 0.01% let's go.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: If you feel like this resonates, if you feel like I'm your guy, if you feel like there's more to learn from me,
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: then let's go, let's go to the next level.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then the next level will have its own objective.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's just so important to identify that objective because if you do, if you don't know why you're teaching, you're going to fail at what to teach bars, gems.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: Is that what the young people will say?
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it is.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: But if you don't know why you're teaching,
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: you won't know what to teach.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then this is why you get into overtaching is because you'll overexplain.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: You'll start using industry lingo.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: And you're like, oh, because I thought the goal was to give it all away.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: And like, no, that's fire hose.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: We want to one thing at a time.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: One thing at a time.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why I got it.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: But like, yeah, it's one drink at a time.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I pulled this up.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: Something that I love that Miron taught me is, he taught me about the difference between being an amateur and being a master.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like, mastery versus amateur hours.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: The goal of learning isn't,
- 26:35[SPEAKER_00]: to know more.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like the goal of learning isn't to get more information, the goal of information, the goal of learning, I'm sorry, the goal of learning is to master.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: Now, he defines mastery as the use of unconscious the use of unconscious resources to execute a given task.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: So if you do something right now, that feels very difficult, you just have a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a, a
- 27:28[SPEAKER_00]: I've worked in my way here.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: I watched myself back.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: I've improved the way I communicate.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: I slowed down my cadence, like I learned about cadence.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you want to be good at, if you want to be a good teacher, then commit to mastering your ability to teach.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: So you want to identify the objective, which if you just want one for your content, just think for people to be empowered to do the thing.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: You want people to be empowered, not overwhelmed.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: Empowered, meaning one thing.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: I had Dan Martell a couple of days ago.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: We'll release that podcast next week.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: And as we talked about AI, he was so good at making people feel empowered
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: Because if I'm going to be honest, I'm very overwhelmed with AI.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm an artist, I'm a creative.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: I use intuition.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't use AI to create this podcast.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't use AI to come up with the contents.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: I genuinely sit in a right or I think about it and then I put it down as thoughts and then I deliver it.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: But we're here.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_00]: The AI revolutions here, but he shared,
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: in a succinct way, what to do on how to get your emails, how to never read your emails again.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: But he still didn't teach to how to, right?
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: So he just told you what to do.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: So we want people to feel empowered.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: And another question that came up a lot was, when do you decide when to teach how to?
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: Now this is funny because,
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: This question comes from a place many times that thinking by you holding hands step by step and demonstrating how to do how to you believe that that is the way people get the result and I'm just literally going to tell you by experience.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: My coaching program, we do workshops where we fly people or people fly into Las Vegas and we set this all up for them and we show them and we tell them like we do it all and they still will get it wrong.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking at art because he's behind the camera.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's not sick anymore.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: But like, we are blown away.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: We're blown away because there is no full extent, not no human is created equal.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: And so people are, people's brains work differently.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: You gotta have these healthiest assumptions when you get into teaching.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: There's different personalities you're dealing with, different learning.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: Some people are more visual learners.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: Some people are more practical learners.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's just like, it's all over the place and all we can do as teachers is just put out the information that will resonate with the most people that would encourage or empower them to take a next step.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm telling you, you can, you can really go into the nitty gritty of how to, in my opinion, after a paywall.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: After a paywall in some capacity, you determined that I'm not here to tell you what the charge, I'm not telling you you went to charge, but I am going to tell you that when somebody pays you, there will be more receptive of the how-to.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: So I actually learned this also from Jesus.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: Not saying Jesus had a paywall, but Jesus always took care of the need.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: He knew they, or I'm sorry, Jesus always took care of the need.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: They knew they had, before he helped them with the need, he knew they had.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: And this is why great teachers online are obsessed with the people that they are teaching.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: they are obsessed with the problems that people have.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: So you could speak to the needs that they know they need.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: So the reason why last week's video resonated so well is because I used the word teacher in the title.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_00]: There are you know, many people in the comments were like, I know I'm called to teach.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: I know I'm supposed to teach.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_00]: I know I need to teach.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: I know I got to teach.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_00]: I call them with the need, they knew they needed and then you can give them the solution and sometimes that's the like the how to in this context, right?
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: So I mentioned in the last video, I said, don't teach how to teach what and what not, teach why and or why not teach when or when not teach where or where not.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_00]: So, when do you then teach how to?
- 32:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's just where your business comes in.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Alex Ramosi, one of the more prolific voices in business right now would say teach how to then sell the implementation.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a great strategy, but I also
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to hear that tip or that idea from the right lens, from the right filter, I guess you could say.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: When he says teach how to, you could teach, you disguise how to, but you still teach what?
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: And so I am a product of this on Think Media.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_00]: One of my most viewed videos is how to edit videos in Premiere Pro.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_00]: This is crazy.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: I actually feel like, you know what, this is important.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_00]: This really resonates with people who can't be contained.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: You can't contain me to a 10-minute video, to a five-hour video, to a 12-hour workshop, to a two-week program.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there's too much to contain.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_00]: So the format creates its own limitation for the teaching.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just breaking people's minds right now and I know and that's okay.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: You just gotta let it keep coming.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: You gotta just keep listening, keep listening and then slowly, you'll be, it'll click, it'll click.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_00]: But that video I made, I will never forget this.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_00]: I made a video on how to get started in editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and it was like, beginner's guide, bro, sis, I literally.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: just showed what to do before you started editing.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you look at me like that.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: I literally said you're going to create a folder on your desktop.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's a what?
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm screen sharing.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: So like I just I'm trying to like kill like the I don't know the teaching how to no it's still sharing what make a photo folder on your desktop open up Premiere Pro save as creative sequence now you're ready to edit.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even teach out at it.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_00]: That that video has two over two million views.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: Do people feel more empowered to edit after watching that video 100% and it's because I help them start right this is like it's your interpreted you have to interpret based on the people you want to help how you're going to help them.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: So you could teach how to.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_00]: But I just want you know, you're just packaging it in how to.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: Here's how to become a millionaire.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_00]: Here's how to say on taxes.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: Here's how to buy a home.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_00]: Here's, but then you still share what?
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to shit.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: This is why it's because it the goal is to shift beliefs.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_00]: If you're really trying to identify the objective of why you're even teaching in the first place, is you got to do it to shift belief.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you're the type of person who always wants the tactics to tips in the hacks, you could stay that person, you're just gonna have a very hard time making money.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_00]: Because the way you sell is the way you buy.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're the type of person that wants 10,000 hours of content for $100,
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: which we all can agree that that's like not gonna help, you're not gonna do anything, you're not gonna watch any of that and even if you did, it's only, it's not gonna do anything where you need to become the person that can extract the doable action that you need to do in this season and then implement it and then get the data and then you can watch back and listen to the other 50 minutes.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: Because there's just so much, there's so much that the world is, there's just so much nuance.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing to get so abundant.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's so infinite.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: There's just so much to be absolute or matter of fact without having principles or truth.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_00]: You're just ignorant.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_00]: You're just ignorant and ignorant, all right.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_00]: This is a part where this is the conversation distinction between mindset versus tactics.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: This is a huge debate.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_00]: One of the biggest debates online is is the goal mindset or is the goal to teach tactics.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_00]: The reason why you can package how, too, but then deliver the other things is because it's always about mindset.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you as someone who is a multi-millionaire, who has a business that does multiple millions in revenue.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_00]: In a short amount of time, by the way, I just started my business like three and a half years ago.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's always mindset.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_00]: you got a belief that is always in the way of you actually taking action.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I always go back and forth with friends, do I teach, but then you still got to teach some tactics.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_00]: The only time I believe you should teach a tactic is when
- 38:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's delivered in the right context, and in a way that anyone can do it.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's a great time to teach tactics.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: So, but if people are just consuming online and all you're doing is teaching tactics, you're not gonna be perceived as being able to solve a higher problem.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_00]: But like,
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: You can ask any wealthy individual.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_00]: All broke people want tactics.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: People who have made it will say it's mindset.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: Why is that the case?
- 39:29[SPEAKER_00]: Why do people who are in their struggling season think tactics is their way out?
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas people who have made it will conclude and say it was always mindset.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's because you've got scales in your season.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_00]: You've got scales because of your experience.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: When I say scales, I mean, scales over your eyes where you have a hard time seeing the world.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_00]: There is not an information problem.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_00]: We have an application problem.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_00]: But we also have a, like I could mention consolidation problem.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like, how are you consolidating all the content you're consuming?
- 40:16[SPEAKER_00]: All the information you're consuming?
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what do you need to do right now in this season?
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: Then why don't you do that?
- 40:24[SPEAKER_00]: Well, because your mind is talking to yourself out of it.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's why this is why this is why mindset.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: is very important, this is why when you teach in a way that changes the way people think I have defined, true influence, true impact is when someone thinks about the thing differently than they did after they met you.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: True influence is thinking differently about something because they met you, because they heard you say it, because they heard you talk about it.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's not only, they think of it differently, they then act on it.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: So when I made videos and I'm trying to go, I'm trying to go backwards in my journey because sometimes you kind of forget, but I remember making videos like what camera to buy on YouTube for YouTube, what camera to buy for YouTube.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: And what?
- 41:27[SPEAKER_00]: Here's what happened.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_00]: Because I shared what the cameras did, and I never even showed how to use the cameras.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: Now I did have tutorials on how to use the cameras, but I still shared what.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's just crazy because people are like, I still don't get it, ah, and that's okay.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: Just make videos, just get help people.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: But when people came out to me and said, AOMR, I started a studio because of you.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_00]: AOMR, I bought that camera because of you.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: They, the content influenced them to take action.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_00]: I literally got a DM this morning while I was having coffee in the backyard and I sent it to the team.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: And that was like, bro, I appreciate you.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: I finally opened up my studio because of you.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_00]: Not a client, didn't pay me, doesn't pay me.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_00]: He might have been in something maybe took a challenge like, but literally, people are starting businesses because of the free content.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's influence, friend.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's influence.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just looking at my notes real quick.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: So I just want you to know that this is why how you teach is so important because your teaching could just be repelling people because you're teaching too much or I wrote this thought down and I said speaking or teaching is a revealer.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_00]: When you put yourself in a position to teach or speak or create content, you know what you're doing is you're revealing and projecting who you are.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: And so if it's, if there's a direct correlation to who you are as a speaker, then you should focus on who you're becoming.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_00]: And we don't become
- 43:11[SPEAKER_00]: what we don't believe.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: We don't become what we don't grow to the level of what we accept.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: We live in the lies we take on.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: Most of us are living in a reality because of the lies you've been told and you've been chosen to believe the lie.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: So you live in what you
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: I wrote down insecure people tend to over-teach because they are trying to prove to people that they are helping, that you're trying to prove you, there's nothing to prove.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_00]: You either help them or you don't.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_00]: How about this frank current?
- 43:55[SPEAKER_00]: He says, prove to people, you can help them by actually helping them, just help them.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm going to wrap up on this thought.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_00]: If you feel like you're going to run out of content, if you commit to posting it, if you commit to creating it, congratulations, you've identified that you need to grow.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_00]: If you feel like you're going to run out of ideas, stop watching Netflix.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: If you feel like you're going to run out of ideas, stop watching the finals, stop being up to date on all the news and this, that no, learn, become interested in stuff, become
- 45:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like I mentioned, a few minutes ago, you should feel like you're being limited by creating content.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_00]: This is a crazy take because if YouTube videos in, you're like, now what?
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: You just, you maxed out.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_00]: You, you maxed.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_00]: You just, you maxed.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_00]: How about that?
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's a max that you don't want to do, but if you are constantly and intentionally feeding yourself, you won't run out of things to talk about because everything is reference.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_00]: Everything's a reference point.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_00]: Stories and illustrations and things that happen to you the other day.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_00]: but you are, this is why when you speak or when you teach, you're just revealing who you are.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_00]: So if you run out of stuff or if you get insecure about not knowing enough, no more.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, get to know more stuff.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: I will encourage you if you're not a reader become a reader, and I'm not saying to read a lot, I'm just saying to read often.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the same, it's the same word.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: No, what I mean is like, I'm a product over eating one proverb a day.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_00]: Proverbs is the Book of Wisdom in the Bible.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_00]: And there's 31 proverbs.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_00]: Half times out of the air, there's 31 days out of every month.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: So I just whatever day of the month it is, I read a proverb.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_00]: And that little's five, seven minute moment in the Word of God.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_00]: has allowed me to operate in life, living by principle, and experiencing the truth of the scriptures, like living in the truth of God's Word.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: And that informs the way I teach.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_00]: I literally, I mean, how long was I talking about the soil?
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now, here's my question, who's gonna do that?
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: That's literally, no one can recreate this video.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_00]: So how do you make content that no one else can copy?
- 47:45[SPEAKER_00]: You make content only, you can make.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's like deep, but it's very obvious.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_00]: How do you make content, no one can copy?
- 47:56[SPEAKER_00]: You make content, no one can recreate it because they can't copy it.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_00]: Omar, you're just a yapper, no for sure, but
- 48:04[SPEAKER_00]: Truly, what has happened in your life?
- 48:06[SPEAKER_00]: What have you discovered?
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: What have you failed at?
- 48:08[SPEAKER_00]: What have you succeeded at?
- 48:12[SPEAKER_00]: You literally, like, if you've been in business for a very long time, I want you to do this.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to take out a Google Doc.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that's an archaic way of saying it.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to open up AI and I want you to start listing out every single client you had.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: and I want you to share what situation they were in, what they did, and then what happened.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: So I want you to create a role-addicts of client success and then make videos.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_00]: Regardless of the platform, it's not about platform.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: Make videos, write emails on those stories.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then find the thread in it.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: to see like, I mean, they, you have a framework in there.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I know I mentioned in the last podcast, creating frameworks can help people understand what you're teaching more.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, I guess this is one of those podcasts that you just, you end, but it's not done.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_00]: How long are we at?
- 49:34[SPEAKER_00]: Dang, I just yet for 52 minutes.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: All right, all right, all right, that's a lot.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_00]: Trying to think if I'm missing anything, I feel I feel good about it.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_00]: Well, if you're still watching DME on Instagram, if you want to take the challenge, click the link in the description.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: And if you want the gear, click the link in the description.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_00]: Other than that, next week's episode about the beat bro.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's about to go crazy.
