- 0:00You didn't think this would all be fun and reindeer games did you?
- 0:04Shut the fuck up.
- 0:05This is a spooky episode, dude. I told you.
- 0:08I say forgot where I was.
- 0:10I told you at the very beginning I found their banks from all the spooky stories that they had.
- 0:16I know. I got I got us really excited and warm with Christmas and Santa and then I'm gonna just
- 0:23eviscerate the happiness right away. I'll leave the really bad stuff until the end.
- 0:30Okay, good show because I think everyone's gonna hate me at the end.
- 0:35I'm so sorry, but it brought me joy, so.
- 0:38Hi, Caitlyn.
- 0:40Hi, Cassie.
- 0:41Hi, creepy people. She's back.
- 0:44I'm here.
- 0:45My job didn't get taken permanently.
- 0:48Thank goodness.
- 0:50Yeah.
- 0:51If you're new to our creepy little corner of the world, this is PNW Haunts and Homicides,
- 0:57where we chat about true crime, the paranormal and all things spooky in the Pacific Northwest,
- 1:03even during Christmas time.
- 1:05Probably especially.
- 1:07Especially during Christmas time.
- 1:10Virtually.
- 1:11And what do we call the Pacific Northwest if we're nasty?
- 1:14It's the PNW if you're nasty.
- 1:17And you are.
- 1:18Yeah.
- 1:19Just like us.
- 1:20Yes.
- 1:21We also do a tarot reading at the end of every episode for a little bit of deeper insight
- 1:27into our topic.
- 1:28Yes, we did.
- 1:30And I brought a little gem that we haven't brought out in a while.
- 1:35I should have guessed.
- 1:37I should have guessed knowing that like, obviously it's a Christmas vibe.
- 1:42Suddenly, I'm just in my head.
- 1:46I've been hearing for some time now a certain voice.
- 1:50And I think it's Mariah.
- 1:52It's tarot!
- 1:54That's what it sounds like in my head.
- 1:58Because it's a screechy high pitched.
- 2:01Yes.
- 2:02Yeah.
- 2:03I love that song.
- 2:04What's it called?
- 2:05I don't know.
- 2:06All I want for Christmas is you.
- 2:07Yeah, probably.
- 2:09Listen, when they started playing it in like mid-October, I was like, I, listen, this is,
- 2:18this is how violence starts.
- 2:20It's, I am like, I'm a Halloween bitch.
- 2:24Yeah.
- 2:25It's Halloween all year.
- 2:26You can play Halloween music anytime.
- 2:28Yeah.
- 2:29Christmas, I love Christmas.
- 2:30I love it.
- 2:31After Thanksgiving.
- 2:32Yeah.
- 2:33It needs to be appropriately time.
- 2:35Like the day, okay, maybe the day of Thanksgiving.
- 2:38But like, it does have to be like heavily into November.
- 2:43Yes.
- 2:44So clearly I was feeling the wintery vibes.
- 2:47I was thinking snow.
- 2:49I really love snow.
- 2:51Even though I don't like to drive in it or anything, but then you get a snow day from work
- 2:54and it's great.
- 2:55Yeah.
- 2:56It never really lasts long enough around here that you get like a ton of days off sometimes.
- 3:00I mean, oh, he's had a couple of winters in the last, I mean, in the last handful of years.
- 3:06Yeah.
- 3:07But if you go back like the last 10 years, if, if you go back a few years, I don't need to
- 3:12date myself.
- 3:13Okay.
- 3:14I, I don't owe you any explanation.
- 3:18I would love to date myself.
- 3:20Are you kidding me?
- 3:21Oh, I meant like as in anyways.
- 3:25That reminds me of the one movie I told you to wash, wash, watch my old ads.
- 3:31Did you wash that old ads?
- 3:33Yeah.
- 3:34This is not ringing about as centered to you and Taylor.
- 3:38And I was like, you have to watch this movie.
- 3:39It's so good.
- 3:40Okay.
- 3:41You guys, it's so good.
- 3:42It's like, it's like just makes you appreciate life.
- 3:45Oh, God, I'm going to cry.
- 3:46Oh, God.
- 3:47No.
- 3:48Anyway, there's this one part and it's in the preview.
- 3:52So I don't feel like I'm giving anything away.
- 3:54Okay.
- 3:55It's like the scroll who meets her self in the future.
- 3:57Oh, okay.
- 3:58She was like, can I kiss you?
- 4:00Like, can I kiss myself?
- 4:02Like, I just want to know what it's like to kiss myself.
- 4:04And I was like, that would be me a 100%.
- 4:07Listen to me have questions.
- 4:09What's it like?
- 4:10Exactly.
- 4:11Let's just try it.
- 4:12So I was talking about snow.
- 4:13I was feeling snowy.
- 4:15And so I feel like this is like the right time to go back to Alaska.
- 4:20Ooh.
- 4:21Don't you think?
- 4:22I love it.
- 4:23I'm pretty sure I've only done like one Alaska one.
- 4:27I know you would have.
- 4:28I think so.
- 4:29I've done a couple.
- 4:30Yeah.
- 4:31We've visited.
- 4:32Yeah.
- 4:33We're hanging out.
- 4:34So we're going back.
- 4:35It is time for the wintery vibes.
- 4:37Ew.
- 4:38So I ended up choosing Fairbanks because of how many spooky stories I found there.
- 4:43Like, I found a lot.
- 4:44I can even fit them in that episode.
- 4:47So we might have to do like a little separate Patreon bonus.
- 4:50Ah.
- 4:51Ooh.
- 4:52I've got some leftovers from the episode that Andrea and I did for mini-sode.
- 4:57It's leftovers.
- 4:58Yes.
- 4:59Perfect.
- 5:00Okay.
- 5:01Well, that just was like right off the top because it's Thanksgiving weekend as we record
- 5:05this.
- 5:06Hey, Trombonus leftovers.
- 5:07Here we come.
- 5:08Ew.
- 5:09Ew.
- 5:10But.
- 5:11Okay.
- 5:12I think halfway through researching this, right?
- 5:14Yeah.
- 5:15And then I stumble upon an article at ExploreFairBanks.com.
- 5:21And guess what?
- 5:22It's only a 20 minute drive away from Fairbanks.
- 5:26The freaking North Pole.
- 5:27Oh my gosh.
- 5:29So I was like, what?
- 5:32What could it be?
- 5:33The freaking North Pole.
- 5:34The freaking North Pole.
- 5:36Which is where quote, the spirit of Christmas lives year round.
- 5:40Of course.
- 5:41So it's not actually because the North Pole is like in what an article or something.
- 5:46Right?
- 5:47Because it's at the top of the earth, the North Pole.
- 5:50Right.
- 5:51That's what that means.
- 5:52The poles are the to be top of the to be bottom.
- 5:56The geographic North Pole is the northern point of Earth's axis of rotation.
- 6:02The North Pole is found in the Arctic Ocean on constantly shifting pieces of sea ice.
- 6:09So clearly this isn't like the real, real North Pole.
- 6:16It's just a place in Alaska referred to us the North Pole.
- 6:20Okay.
- 6:21Okay.
- 6:22Where the streets are lined with candy cane decor that will lead you straight to the official
- 6:26home of Santa Claus.
- 6:28Santa?
- 6:29It's a cute--
- 6:30I know him!
- 6:31Well, Elf.
- 6:32It's a cute white house with like red--
- 6:33Oh.
- 6:34Oh.
- 6:35Oh.
- 6:36Oh.
- 6:37Oh.
- 6:38It was a piping like icing, but like lining, I don't know what it's called.
- 6:42Yeah.
- 6:43Like is it on the shutters or the trim?
- 6:46Yeah, the trim.
- 6:47Like the trim was red, yeah.
- 6:48I mean, it's piping if it's a like gingerbread house, which that's kind of what it looks like.
- 6:53Yeah.
- 6:54I was going to say, that's what I picture.
- 6:56The Santa Claus house is stuffed with all kinds of knick knacks for Christmas gifting,
- 7:02love it.
- 7:03Of course, it's where you can get your very own authentic North Pole postmark letter from
- 7:08Santa.
- 7:09You have to pay for it.
- 7:12You can get one online as well.
- 7:13You don't actually have to go all the way to Alaska.
- 7:15You knew my next question.
- 7:16Yeah.
- 7:17You couldn't order it online and like you have a personalized and--
- 7:20Okay.
- 7:21Listen.
- 7:22I didn't have the internet and I didn't have a lot of money as a child.
- 7:26But grown up me still doesn't have a lot of money.
- 7:30I do, however, have the internet.
- 7:32And where you can waste your money on a letter from Santa.
- 7:36But it's official.
- 7:39You guys.
- 7:40I'm going to get one.
- 7:42Please get me one too, because I'm too ported by my own.
- 7:45Well, we'll get a pod one.
- 7:46It'll be like a shame.
- 7:47Yeah.
- 7:48We'll get a pod one.
- 7:49Okay.
- 7:50Thank you.
- 7:51Write that down.
- 7:52I'm writing it down.
- 7:53So they've been doing these letters since 1952, which before Alaska was even a state, it
- 7:59became a state in 1959.
- 8:01Oh my God.
- 8:02Yeah.
- 8:03I forget how recently Alaska became a state.
- 8:07Yeah.
- 8:08That's after World War II.
- 8:10Like, yeah, I totally know the dates for that.
- 8:13I'm 100% agree with you.
- 8:15Well, World War II ended in the mid-40s.
- 8:21Sure.
- 8:22Yep.
- 8:23I don't know why that's one of those dates in history that it's like, it's my mile marker.
- 8:27I know I talked about it before, but I like had to Google it.
- 8:31Yeah.
- 8:32It's like something I just know.
- 8:33No, it's just one of the only dates that I just sort of have memorized.
- 8:37It helps me like, acquaint myself.
- 8:39Yeah.
- 8:40That's how I know.
- 8:41If it didn't happen like close enough to World War II, there's a good chance I'm very
- 8:47confused.
- 8:48You're lost in time.
- 8:49Yeah, basically.
- 8:50I'm always lost in time because all time it's happening all at the same time.
- 8:53So it doesn't even matter when the dates are because they're all just happening at once.
- 8:56And yeah, I'm shutting down.
- 8:59Listen, what was it?
- 9:02It was all the guys were, it was the TikTok thing where everybody was like, how often do
- 9:09you think about ancient Rome?
- 9:11Yes.
- 9:12World War II is my ancient Rome.
- 9:13Right.
- 9:14And time being non-existent is mine.
- 9:18I love that for us.
- 9:22So these official Santa letters are written on old, timey paper.
- 9:26So it's like the paper that they started with basically they haven't changed it since
- 9:30the '60s.
- 9:31Shut the--
- 9:32But a front door.
- 9:33Yeah, I think you can pick different options though, but why would you?
- 9:36I want the original old timey paper.
- 9:38Yeah.
- 9:39I don't think they made a bunch in the '60s and then kept it.
- 9:42I think they just pre-printed.
- 9:43Oh, I'm sure they're.
- 9:44Yeah.
- 9:45It's not actually old paper.
- 9:47That'd be so cool.
- 9:48The vibe is old.
- 9:50The vibe is old.
- 9:51It comes with.
- 9:52Are you ready?
- 9:53No.
- 9:54But tell me.
- 9:55It comes with a photo of Santa.
- 9:59The real Santa, you guys.
- 10:01Obviously.
- 10:02A Santa Claus dollar, which I don't know what you could buy for that, but it sounds like
- 10:06it would be worth a lot.
- 10:08A Santa Claus dollar?
- 10:09Like the exchange rate.
- 10:11I don't know.
- 10:12It's got to be worth at least a million of our stupid regular dollars, right?
- 10:15I mean, if you tell me it's anything less, I'm really going to be-- I'm going to be
- 10:20heated.
- 10:21Santa Claus dollars.
- 10:23Somebody tell us.
- 10:24And, an official, I'm on the good list sticker.
- 10:29That's adorable.
- 10:30I also want them to make I'm on the bad list ones.
- 10:33Yeah.
- 10:34For me.
- 10:35Yeah.
- 10:36I don't think they do, though.
- 10:37Well, I'm sure there's a Nazi shop for that.
- 10:40I could say that's true.
- 10:41I was like, I can see parents getting both of them and just being like, which one are you?
- 10:47Yeah.
- 10:48I'm not even.
- 10:51And for an extra charge, you can be on the naughty list, no, I'm just kidding.
- 10:57I totally-- wow.
- 10:59Go look at that.
- 11:00You can be on Santa's now.
- 11:02It's a list.
- 11:03No, but for an extra charge, you can own your very own slice of the North Pole.
- 11:09One square inch to be exact.
- 11:11You literally get a deed for it.
- 11:14I didn't look up how much any of this cost.
- 11:17But you can totally do that.
- 11:19It's got to be pretty affordable.
- 11:20It's probably not outrageous.
- 11:21If it's one square inch, can you use your Santa dollar to buy it?
- 11:25Oh!
- 11:26We should ask them.
- 11:28OK, we're going to need to look into this.
- 11:31I have a lot of follow-up questions.
- 11:33You're me, too.
- 11:34Look in here for us.
- 11:35Again, fully an adult.
- 11:37But I have a lot of child brain questions.
- 11:39And now I'm better informed as an adult to ask the right questions.
- 11:44I feel like no one thinks that we're fully adults.
- 11:47So that's fine.
- 11:49You can actually send letters here, too.
- 11:51And they do read them.
- 11:52And they put them up on their letter walls that they have around Santa's house.
- 11:58They can't respond to every letter, obviously, because they just get so many.
- 12:02And then there's all the ones that are being paid for that they have to respond to.
- 12:06Yeah.
- 12:07But you can always write them a letter.
- 12:09They say they love to get them.
- 12:10And they get them from all over the world.
- 12:13Oh, that's so sweet.
- 12:14Yeah.
- 12:15Just don't expect a response.
- 12:16Maybe, you know, OK, if any kids are listening, tell them to put their ear in my son.
- 12:22Maybe just do your own Santa letter to respond if you can't afford it.
- 12:27So this all started when Con and Nellie Miller lived in Fairbanks.
- 12:32Con traveled around locally as a merchant and became well-known, especially to children,
- 12:37not in a creepy way.
- 12:38OK.
- 12:39He became well-known for dressing in a Santa suit every Christmas season while he went
- 12:44around and did his trading stuff.
- 12:47That's adorable.
- 12:48Isn't it so cute?
- 12:49Just to see this guy and I picture him carrying all of his supplies.
- 12:51I don't know if he did or not, but just carrying him in a sack and he was like, actual Santa.
- 12:57I don't know if that's true, but--
- 12:58So cute.
- 13:00In 1952, they moved to an area that sounds like it was already starting to be called the
- 13:05North Pole.
- 13:06I really don't.
- 13:07Just from reading the few articles, I'm not sure which came first, but I think it started
- 13:12being called the North Pole.
- 13:13That's probably why they moved.
- 13:15Maybe.
- 13:16It was calling to them.
- 13:17I think so.
- 13:18Or it was just all synchronistic.
- 13:21Yeah.
- 13:22I believe that in my heart.
- 13:24So they moved out there because they wanted to build their own trading post.
- 13:27And it was like a remote area so they didn't have one out there.
- 13:30So they wanted to build their own.
- 13:32I guess in the midst of building a little boy who recognized Con came by and said, hello,
- 13:39Santa Claus.
- 13:40Are you building a new house?
- 13:42And so he was like, actually, I wasn't like planning on this being Santa's house, but it totally
- 13:48could be Santa's house.
- 13:50Stop it.
- 13:51In the North Pole.
- 13:52Isn't so freaking cute.
- 13:55It's so adorable that I might die.
- 13:58So anyway, the kid comes by, asks if the Santa's new house, and it was all down the snowy slopes
- 14:04from there.
- 14:06And it was always and forever called the Santa Claus house.
- 14:10They also opened a post office naturally because they have to send Santa letters.
- 14:15Natch.
- 14:16It was ran by Nellie.
- 14:17So she was the post mistress at the time.
- 14:21And she was also the marriage commissioner and 100% married people inside the Santa Claus
- 14:27house.
- 14:28That is so cute.
- 14:31I just think everyone in the area had to have gotten married by her in the Santa Claus house.
- 14:35You know?
- 14:36I mean, if they didn't, like, what are you even doing?
- 14:41What are you doing with your life, man?
- 14:43Seriously, bro.
- 14:44Are you going to get married at the post office?
- 14:47Bro.
- 14:48I don't think they were the same building.
- 14:50I don't know.
- 14:51To be honest with you.
- 14:53Yeah, that's an interesting, I guess.
- 14:55She would probably marry people wherever they wanted to get married.
- 14:58Yeah.
- 14:59I would assume.
- 15:00Yeah.
- 15:01But here's the thing is I'm all about like, do you're wedding the way you want?
- 15:06Unless one of your options is the Santa Claus house.
- 15:10Yeah.
- 15:11Hello.
- 15:12Married at the Santa Claus house.
- 15:13Christmas wedding.
- 15:14So cute.
- 15:15Also, Con was the mayor for 19 years.
- 15:19Because like Duh.
- 15:20Of course he was.
- 15:22Yeah.
- 15:23So did he, okay, but I need to know.
- 15:26Did he run on the ticket as Con Miller, right?
- 15:31Or did he run as Santa Claus?
- 15:34I don't know.
- 15:35We're going to need to do some digging in the historical record.
- 15:38I feel like for legal purposes, you have to run with your given name, your legal name.
- 15:43But he may be in parentheses.
- 15:45It was like Santa Claus.
- 15:48That's a good point.
- 15:49That's a good point.
- 15:50Yeah.
- 15:51I feel like probably that's correct.
- 15:53I've now officially entered fantasy holiday Santa Land.
- 15:58And I'm like, rules don't apply.
- 16:01Rules never apply to Santa.
- 16:03Yeah.
- 16:04Just sit on his lap, willy nilly.
- 16:06Yeah.
- 16:07I mean, here's the thing.
- 16:08Why can't he run as Santa?
- 16:10We, you know, clearly don't have rules for our elected officials anymore.
- 16:16Yeah.
- 16:17Yeah.
- 16:18Yeah.
- 16:19It's kind of a, it's a free, fun free for all.
- 16:20So fun.
- 16:21We're all having fun.
- 16:23Anyway, Santa Claus house has moved from its very original location.
- 16:34Because they put in like a big highway, you know, like the big famous Alaska highway or
- 16:39whatever.
- 16:40Oh, right, right, right, right.
- 16:41That thing.
- 16:42We've talked about it.
- 16:43Yeah, they put that in.
- 16:44And so they did move it because it wasn't, it was no longer on the main road and they
- 16:47wanted it to be on the main road.
- 16:49Yeah.
- 16:50And it was, it was just a trading post kind of like a local grocery store.
- 16:55So it wasn't totally Christmified until they moved it.
- 17:00And that's when they just went all out.
- 17:02Totally Christmas.
- 17:03Christmas.
- 17:04Oh, and of course they have the antler academy of flying and reindeer games right next
- 17:11store.
- 17:12Say more words.
- 17:13That was all the words I had.
- 17:15The antler academy of flying and reindeer games.
- 17:19So they just have like a farm of reindeer's next store.
- 17:21Oh, freaking cute.
- 17:22Oh my God.
- 17:24I don't think they actually fly.
- 17:26But I mean, we can't know that for sure.
- 17:29If your child they 100% fly.
- 17:31Yeah, 1000%.
- 17:32Obviously.
- 17:33It's just science.
- 17:35Okay.
- 17:36Well, you didn't think this would all be fun and reindeer games did you?
- 17:40Shut the fuck up.
- 17:42Okay.
- 17:43This is a spooky episode.
- 17:44Do what I told you.
- 17:45I do.
- 17:46I forgot where I was.
- 17:47I told you at the very beginning.
- 17:48I found Fairbanks from all the spooky stories that they had.
- 17:54I know.
- 17:55I got, I got us really excited and warm with Christmas and Santa and then I'm going to
- 18:00just.
- 18:01Eviscerate the happiness.
- 18:04Right away.
- 18:05I'll leave the really bad stuff until the end.
- 18:08Okay.
- 18:09Good job.
- 18:10Because I think I think everyone's going to hate me at the end.
- 18:13I'm so sorry.
- 18:14But it brought me joy.
- 18:16So honestly, it sounds like you should be.
- 18:20I'm just over here crushing the Christmas spirit.
- 18:25Scrooge McDuck.
- 18:27Hey, at least I have money.
- 18:29I know.
- 18:30You get the money or word and you just like, I'm like, wait, no, is Scrooge McDuck different
- 18:35from the McDuck that has all the money?
- 18:37No, Scrooge.
- 18:38Because it's Ebenezer Scrooge.
- 18:40Oh, right.
- 18:41Okay.
- 18:42Yeah.
- 18:43Okay.
- 18:44How many McDuck's are there?
- 18:45Oh, and no.
- 18:46There's no way to know.
- 18:48Okay.
- 18:49Anyway, let's, let's, you're stalling.
- 18:50I can tell.
- 18:51I am doing no such thing.
- 18:54Fairbanks is located in Alaska's interior.
- 18:58It's inside of her.
- 19:00North of the Denali National Park and South of the Arctic Circle.
- 19:05I don't know where either of those are, but I was like, ah, Twilight, the Denali coming.
- 19:12I know her.
- 19:15Twilight.
- 19:16Oh, my God.
- 19:17That's the last time I'll bring up Twilight ever.
- 19:22Okay.
- 19:23I really doubt it.
- 19:25What does a mining town along the Chena River Fairbanks is the golden heart of Alaska?
- 19:32I love it.
- 19:34It's so cute.
- 19:35I know.
- 19:36Why are you about to crush it?
- 19:37I'm not.
- 19:38Okay.
- 19:39I'm not.
- 19:40I promise.
- 19:41You're like, it's already crushed.
- 19:42So it's been crushed.
- 19:43Okay.
- 19:44Done been crushed.
- 19:45Already.
- 19:46It is a freaking gorgeous place.
- 19:49Yeah.
- 19:50And they have a lot of cool things to do there.
- 19:52They have an ice museum.
- 19:54Oh.
- 19:55And the photo appeared to have an ice bar inside.
- 19:58So like, I'm going to need you to agree to go with me here before I tell you the rest.
- 20:04Also, we have someone that frequents Alaska that has been begging.
- 20:08Oh, yeah.
- 20:09Yes.
- 20:10Baking to arrange some pod adventures.
- 20:12You know who you are.
- 20:13I want to go to Fairbanks.
- 20:15Yeah.
- 20:16I don't know what part of Alaska she typically visits, but I'm about we could do some arm twisting.
- 20:23Yeah.
- 20:24I don't do a pod trip, you guys.
- 20:26I think we should do a lot of pod trips.
- 20:28Yeah.
- 20:29All over the place.
- 20:31All over.
- 20:32So let's start out a place that was left over from the town's Gold Rush Days.
- 20:37Yes.
- 20:38The pump house restaurant.
- 20:40Oh.
- 20:41The Chena pump house was built in 1933 to do like the name sounds and pull water out of
- 20:48the river where they didn't want it and pump it to where they needed it for like,
- 20:53you know, mining stuff.
- 20:54Oh, okay.
- 20:55Yeah.
- 20:56So not like municipal like drinking water.
- 20:58No, it was definitely for mining.
- 21:00Okay.
- 21:01They have to like, you know, take water out of places to like search for things, but they need
- 21:05water out of other places.
- 21:06Yeah.
- 21:07So they have to like come up with all these pump buildings to do that job.
- 21:11So interesting.
- 21:13Mining stuff.
- 21:14Mining.
- 21:15And in 1958, this was like a little over 20 years later.
- 21:21And the land was sufficiently all mined up.
- 21:24The building was stripped of its machinery and left sitting for another 20 years.
- 21:29Oh, interesting.
- 21:31Just an abandoned building.
- 21:33Like what's the big deal?
- 21:35What could be wrong?
- 21:37I think it'll be fine.
- 21:39I think it turns out fine.
- 21:41They fixed it up to make it this super cute restaurant on the river.
- 21:44Okay.
- 21:45Yeah.
- 21:46That's right.
- 21:47Okay.
- 21:48Yeah.
- 21:49- More. - Cool.
- 21:51- Despite it's very blue-collar origins
- 21:54and authentic antique decor.
- 21:57- Ooh. - She's got a pretty fancy pants menu.
- 22:00- Ooh. - Ooh.
- 22:01- And I'm just gonna casually air drop this to Caitlyn's phone,
- 22:04like not for bribery purposes or anything, you know?
- 22:08- Oh my God, you know they have good seafood.
- 22:10(laughing)
- 22:12I know what you're doing.
- 22:14- I knew it. - I knew it.
- 22:15- I knew it. - What's the first thing
- 22:16on the menu, Caitlyn?
- 22:18- Oysters on the half-shell.
- 22:20- I was just totally, I was like,
- 22:21what's the first thing on the menu?
- 22:23- What's the first thing?
- 22:24- And then I promptly got so excited,
- 22:26I beat my microfiber sand.
- 22:29- Oyster! - Oyster!
- 22:30(laughing)
- 22:32- We are losing it.
- 22:34- Oh God, well don't read the second thing
- 22:36on the menu, Jesus.
- 22:38- Oh yeah, that's kind of a bummer.
- 22:40- Reindeer sausage.
- 22:42- I hear it's delicious.
- 22:43- I mean, I don't think I could do it.
- 22:45- I'm sure they have like, rain deer
- 22:47is at just die naturally, full-daged,
- 22:49and they have to do something with their body, right?
- 22:52- Those are usually not the tasty ones.
- 22:55- Oh!
- 22:56- I eat the reindeer, I'm not gonna lie.
- 22:57It's served with a garlic baguette, fuck yeah.
- 23:00(laughing)
- 23:01- Three to all, it's this fresh steamed clams
- 23:03with reindeer sausage.
- 23:05- I'm not a big clams gal.
- 23:07- I love me clams.
- 23:08- And like clam chowder.
- 23:10- Anyway, if you keep scrolling down,
- 23:11there's like a really cute bear on the menu.
- 23:14- Oh, that's a cute bear.
- 23:15That's a real cute bear.
- 23:17Oh, and they do have chowder, seafood chowder.
- 23:20- Oh, more than just chowder.
- 23:22- More than just chowder.
- 23:23So they are the Senator Saloon,
- 23:27which is in this restaurant,
- 23:30is the world's northernmost oyster bar.
- 23:32- Okay, well obviously I have to.
- 23:35- Like I eat a lot of oysters whenever I can.
- 23:37- But not the northernmost.
- 23:39- Yeah, no, not that.
- 23:40Obviously that's bucket list.
- 23:42(laughing)
- 23:43- Well, as you can imagine,
- 23:45this old historic building might have some lingering energy,
- 23:49possibly from miners who worked a dangerous job
- 23:52and no doubt some lives were lost in the process.
- 23:55- I'm sure everything was fine.
- 23:58- I probably wasn't that fine.
- 24:00- I don't know, that job seems pretty dangerous.
- 24:02- Yeah, it's super dangerous.
- 24:03- It turns out like everything you do in Alaska
- 24:05is like world dangerous.
- 24:07Walking down the street, dangerous, crabbing, dangerous.
- 24:11- Well, if you're saying, oh, you're fine.
- 24:13One person who worked in the building
- 24:15for a short period of time,
- 24:17until they witnessed a white figure.
- 24:20Ah, white people.
- 24:22(laughing)
- 24:24It's understandable,
- 24:25where the normally historic.
- 24:27- Yeah.
- 24:28(laughing)
- 24:29- So they did this white figure
- 24:30and they couldn't make out any of like its facial features
- 24:34or clothing, but it was coming.
- 24:37They say sideways through the kitchen door.
- 24:40(gasping)
- 24:41- I don't know if they mean sideways as in like,
- 24:44profilers.
- 24:45- Like crab walking.
- 24:46- Or sideways.
- 24:47- I don't like that.
- 24:48I don't, none of that is okay.
- 24:50- It wasn't very specific.
- 24:52- Oh my God, you should have warned me
- 24:53about what I needed to do with my feet.
- 24:55- So it's my feet.
- 24:56(laughing)
- 24:57- What in the hell?
- 24:58There might be somebody crab walking right underneath
- 25:01or does.
- 25:02- That's interesting that you picture like crab walking
- 25:04and I was just like, are they floating horizontal
- 25:07or are they profile?
- 25:09- I mean, I'm you're being full on like.
- 25:12(laughing)
- 25:14- Well, that would be so much freaky.
- 25:16- That would be freaky.
- 25:18- I feel like he wouldn't be as calm
- 25:19if they were crab walking.
- 25:20So I don't know if they were just like coming through
- 25:22that like sliding through the door.
- 25:24I'm not sure.
- 25:25- Like levitating is like, oh, okay.
- 25:28Yeah, I was prepared for a certain level of spookiness.
- 25:31That seems witchy.
- 25:33Am I able to get on board?
- 25:35Maybe you teach me.
- 25:36- You made up the crab walking.
- 25:37- I said nothing about the crabs.
- 25:39- I'm just saying.
- 25:41- It's a king crab walking.
- 25:42- It's a king crab walking.
- 25:43Well, we can eat it, okay.
- 25:46- Ooh, I don't.
- 25:47- So this person and this figure ended up
- 25:50just staring at each other.
- 25:52I don't know how he can tell.
- 25:54I guess you could kind of make out a face
- 25:56if you know that it's staring at you.
- 25:58- Yeah.
- 25:59- Like just directly.
- 26:01- Yeah.
- 26:02So I guess they were staring at each other
- 26:03until the only other living person in the room interrupted.
- 26:07It was the night watchman or the night man.
- 26:10If you're nasty.
- 26:11- Right.
- 26:12- Right.
- 26:13(laughing)
- 26:15- Oh my God.
- 26:16- That one time I was like,
- 26:18I kept saying night man and like,
- 26:20totally didn't even register.
- 26:21(laughing)
- 26:22And you're like, wait, I have to stop you.
- 26:24This is funny.
- 26:26You just think it's a casualty.
- 26:28I was like, do you even?
- 26:32It's always sunny.
- 26:33- I do, but I did not.
- 26:35It didn't register at the time.
- 26:37No, but now it definitely does.
- 26:38So this night man could tell that something happened
- 26:43because he asked, you saw a ghost.
- 26:46So apparently he's like, he knew what was up.
- 26:48- That's just how we roll around here.
- 26:51And of course the figure disappeared from sight after that.
- 26:55They went and checked the whole building.
- 26:58They secured the perimeter and no one was there.
- 27:01The night man also had an interesting story
- 27:05of how he'd once fought down an intruder
- 27:08in the middle of the night.
- 27:10And he had him on the floor in the intruder of Vanna.
- 27:14- No.
- 27:15- From underneath him.
- 27:16- That is unacceptable.
- 27:18- No, no thank you.
- 27:21- He just ghosted him.
- 27:23(laughing)
- 27:24- Yeah, he's like, literally.
- 27:26- Why?
- 27:27- That's the way to be like a thief.
- 27:30If you're just like a ghost,
- 27:32'cause you could just disappear.
- 27:33- No one can catch you.
- 27:35- But like if you're off being a ghost,
- 27:37doing ghost stuff, do you still care
- 27:40about stealing like hour stuff?
- 27:43- I don't know.
- 27:44- Yeah, I don't know what this one,
- 27:46if this ghost wanted to steal stuff,
- 27:47if he just wanted to hide in the bathroom
- 27:50and peep up women's skirts,
- 27:51I don't know what he wanted me to do.
- 27:53- Oh.
- 27:54- Gross.
- 27:56- You know what first I almost said,
- 27:57hang from the ceiling and look down their shirts,
- 28:00but I was like, wait, that's too creepy.
- 28:02- I don't know.
- 28:03- So creepy.
- 28:04- He's just fluttering around on the floor.
- 28:06(laughing)
- 28:07What did nasty ghost do?
- 28:09I don't know.
- 28:09- Okay, so I can literally never
- 28:12be below a ceiling or above a floor.
- 28:16- Never.
- 28:17- Okay.
- 28:18- You're fucked, my dude.
- 28:19- I was gonna say that's gonna be a problem.
- 28:22- So I also ran into this other article
- 28:25about a local paranormal investigation team
- 28:28who searched for a bigfoot type creature
- 28:30on Chena Pump Road.
- 28:32- Okay.
- 28:32- It's the road that this restaurant is on.
- 28:35- Okay.
- 28:35- Share remember the original name was
- 28:37Chena Pump House.
- 28:38- Yeah.
- 28:39- Pump House.
- 28:40- So that's interesting.
- 28:41I wonder, I don't know, 'cause it's Alaska.
- 28:43So was it a bear or was it a bigfoot?
- 28:46- Yeah, I feel like the bears are probably like,
- 28:49like our bears maybe like in Oregon and Washington,
- 28:53I feel like they're like,
- 28:55"Mmm, I'm up there."
- 28:56- They're a little bear.
- 28:57- And they're like little bears and you're like,
- 28:58"Okay, we're scared of bears,
- 29:00"but that's because we haven't seen like,
- 29:02"braa, bear." - Like Alaska bears.
- 29:04- Yeah.
- 29:05- Like we're not fucking around bears.
- 29:07- Yeah.
- 29:08- So I don't know.
- 29:09- Like we eat caribou bears. (laughs)
- 29:11- Well, I don't know, I hope it wasn't either one.
- 29:14I don't know, it's better. - Yeah.
- 29:15- I don't know, it's better a bigfoot or a bear.
- 29:17- I hear the bigfoot is really stinky.
- 29:19- Yeah, so. - smelly guy.
- 29:21- I feel like maybe I'd take, you know what?
- 29:23Here's the thing, in any situation,
- 29:26still taking the bear. - Still taking the bear.
- 29:28- Yeah.
- 29:28- Yeah, 'cause Bigfoot is like partly man, I think.
- 29:32- Yeah.
- 29:33- And you've got like human feet.
- 29:34- Yeah.
- 29:35- So I'm gonna give that a hard pass.
- 29:36I don't care how big your feet are, Bigfoot.
- 29:39Okay. - She does care.
- 29:41- I know I said I was a dick snob, but I'll take anything.
- 29:46Okay. (laughs)
- 29:48Moving along.
- 29:49So now we're going to a place that isn't very old.
- 29:51It was opened in 1994, but it's still an understandably
- 29:55spooky place.
- 29:57- Okay. - The Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
- 30:00- Oh no.
- 30:01- Staff of experienced malfunctioning equipment,
- 30:05which I feel like isn't great for a hospital.
- 30:08- No, it's not ideal.
- 30:10- Come on, go, stop trying to make more of you.
- 30:12- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:13- Join us won't you?
- 30:15- No.
- 30:16- Staff have also heard unexplained noises,
- 30:20felt random chills and cold spots.
- 30:23- Okay.
- 30:23- And witness faucets turning on and off
- 30:27without the help of a living hand.
- 30:29- Okay.
- 30:30- So I don't care for that.
- 30:34- As someone who's actually experienced that,
- 30:36like arguably verified haunted hotel,
- 30:41I don't, water spirits, man.
- 30:44(laughs)
- 30:45- Why did the water spirits, why are they so interested in me?
- 30:50What's that about?
- 30:51- What is that?
- 30:53- It's 'cause you're too fiery
- 30:54and they're trying to put out your flame.
- 30:56- Some of the nurses have seen something
- 30:59that I think is kind of sweet, also kind of sad.
- 31:03They will sometimes see what they think are angels
- 31:06when someone is close to death.
- 31:08I think especially if it's a baby.
- 31:10'Cause they, I feel like they need extra help into the.
- 31:14- Yeah, I think that would,
- 31:16I don't even really like babies that much.
- 31:18And I just feel like that would probably be my last day
- 31:21nursing, probably.
- 31:24- Oh. - If you saw an angel of death.
- 31:26- Oh, for a baby?
- 31:28Like, okay, explain that one to me.
- 31:31Mr. Dick Lope.
- 31:33- Yeah.
- 31:34- I don't, it's awful.
- 31:36- I don't, I'm not interested in that.
- 31:38Thank you, goodbye forever.
- 31:40- But they also even hear sounds of babies crying
- 31:43in the maternity ward or the nursery.
- 31:45(snores)
- 31:46But I feel like how do you tell the difference
- 31:48between a ghost baby and just like a real baby?
- 31:51- 'Cause real baby?
- 31:52- All of the babies are sleeping
- 31:53and then they hear a ghost baby crying.
- 31:55But do they have, I don't know if they have cameras on them?
- 31:59How do they know one doesn't just like,
- 32:00(snores)
- 32:01and then fall back asleep?
- 32:02'Cause they do that.
- 32:03- I mean, it's possible, but like, think about this.
- 32:06- Okay, so they're looking at all the babies.
- 32:08- Yes, picture this.
- 32:10You're in the room.
- 32:12- Okay, this room doesn't exist anymore
- 32:13because it's not safe in hospitals to have a room
- 32:16where all the babies, you can just look at them
- 32:18through a window.
- 32:19- Oh, it's not safe.
- 32:20- Oh, 'cause it's like,
- 32:21- No, it's good.
- 32:22- No, it's good.
- 32:23- Oh, it's fucking steal them.
- 32:24- Yeah, okay.
- 32:24- That makes sense.
- 32:25- Picture you're in what used to be like the baby viewing room.
- 32:30They walled it up, okay?
- 32:32But all of the babies are still in the same room
- 32:35and all of the babies are sleeping.
- 32:37You're looking at them and you're like,
- 32:38"Oh, you're so cute.
- 32:39You're gonna be really fucking annoying
- 32:41"so the next 18 years, you're parents."
- 32:44Oh, so cute.
- 32:45Right now though.
- 32:46And all of a sudden you hear crying.
- 32:49And you're like, "That one's really annoying."
- 32:54But you're like, "None of these guys."
- 32:57- Yeah.
- 32:58- Nope, nope, nope.
- 33:00- But if it's another baby, just in with its mom.
- 33:03- I don't know.
- 33:04- I assume that if these nurses are reporting it
- 33:06and saying it's weird that something weird is going on
- 33:09'cause I feel like they know the difference.
- 33:11- Well, and generally I feel like so many people,
- 33:15specifically like if you're working in a hospital,
- 33:18like after a while, a lot of people,
- 33:20I think come to see things or hear things
- 33:23or like they have an awareness that there can be odd energy.
- 33:27But a lot of those people, like they're very much more
- 33:30of like a scientific mind.
- 33:32- Yeah.
- 33:33- They're not looking for spooky.
- 33:35So they're gonna try to explain that any other way.
- 33:38- Yeah.
- 33:39- Just stereotypically.
- 33:40There is also that thing though, like new,
- 33:42like not new moms, just I think moms in general
- 33:44or like me when I was a nanny.
- 33:46Like if you were in the bathroom or something you might hear
- 33:49like the baby crying and you run out there
- 33:51and be like, "Oh my God, why is the baby crying?"
- 33:52But it's like not actually crying.
- 33:54It's just like hearing it.
- 33:57- That happens to me.
- 33:58I feel like sometimes with the dogs.
- 34:00- Yeah.
- 34:01- Yeah.
- 34:02I feel like it's just like a,
- 34:03that must be like some sort of a phenomenon, right?
- 34:07- Yeah.
- 34:08So I don't know if it's that kind of thing
- 34:09or if it's actually just like residual,
- 34:13I hope it's residual baby crying.
- 34:15I hope it's not like an actual baby spirit.
- 34:18- Oh.
- 34:19- I feel like they're not connected enough to the earth
- 34:22to like be trapped here.
- 34:23I feel like when it's a baby,
- 34:25it's still like kind of half in the other world, you know?
- 34:29- Yeah.
- 34:30- So I feel like it's not super attached
- 34:32to where if it passed away it would stay.
- 34:34- Yeah.
- 34:34Like no, no, no, your brand new here.
- 34:36Just move on to better things.
- 34:38- Yeah.
- 34:38- Oh.
- 34:39- Next time little one.
- 34:40(baby crying)
- 34:43- That just reminded me of the Thanksgiving friends episode
- 34:46because Phoebe was telling stories of like her past life.
- 34:51- Oh.
- 34:52(laughing)
- 34:54And it's one of the things giving ones.
- 34:56And basically she's like telling somebody,
- 34:59"Oh, you think that was a bad Thanksgiving?"
- 35:01And it cuts to her where she's like a nurse giving
- 35:06like aid to people on the battlefield.
- 35:08And then all of a sudden there's like a mortar explosion
- 35:11and she's like losing an arm.
- 35:14And it happens twice in the episode.
- 35:16And it was just funny because then everybody goes,
- 35:20"No, Phoebe in this life."
- 35:23But Joe goes, "Oh, that's so sad."
- 35:25Like I don't remember any of my past life.
- 35:27So I'm so jealous.
- 35:28And she's like, "That's because you're brand new."
- 35:31- Oh, and Joey.
- 35:32- Okay, we can move on to one of my other favorite locations
- 35:38for Ghosts.
- 35:38- Do you say Ferret?
- 35:39- Favorite.
- 35:40- Okay.
- 35:41- May Fevera.
- 35:42- May Fevera.
- 35:43(laughing)
- 35:44- May Fevera.
- 35:44(laughing)
- 35:46- One of my favorite locations for Ghosties.
- 35:49- Furchill Cemetery.
- 35:51- Yeah, it seems like you'd find something there, I guess.
- 35:54Here you might catch a glimpse
- 35:56into the early 1900s with a fashion show
- 35:59from a lady in white,
- 36:01complete with a fancy hat,
- 36:04or a little boy and girl
- 36:06in clothing from that same era.
- 36:09Okay.
- 36:10People have also seen shadows or black figures
- 36:13that seem to float around the cemetery.
- 36:16- No.
- 36:17- But they usually say these shadows,
- 36:19they don't have a bad vibe,
- 36:21even though shadow people in general
- 36:24have kind of an evil vibe, these don't.
- 36:27And they did say it was kind of small
- 36:29and seemed playful.
- 36:31- Oh.
- 36:32- So it wasn't like a cat or something,
- 36:33like a little black.
- 36:35- Oh, maybe.
- 36:36- Yeah.
- 36:37- I was thinking though,
- 36:38like there's a lot of things that we associate.
- 36:42Like if you're talking about crystals,
- 36:44a lot of the darker like a black or a dark gray crystal,
- 36:48like it has a very protective energy.
- 36:51- Yeah.
- 36:51- So I'm just like, you, that's you.
- 36:55- It could go either way,
- 36:56'cause you know, we've heard about shadow people before
- 36:58that weren't great stories.
- 37:01- Yeah.
- 37:02- Yeah.
- 37:02But these ones seem okay.
- 37:03So we can go to the cemetery too and we visit
- 37:06after the oysters.
- 37:07- After you're all lubed up on oysters,
- 37:10we can go to the cemetery.
- 37:12- Yeah.
- 37:13- You guys, she is playing me like a fiddle.
- 37:16- Paranormal investigators have caught EVPs
- 37:19in the cemetery and even the photo of an apparition.
- 37:24- Hmm.
- 37:24- And I'm about to send you this photographic evidence
- 37:28that they caught.
- 37:30Air drop being,
- 37:32Air drop sponsors.
- 37:33(laughing)
- 37:36- We do it all the time.
- 37:38- We do it so often.
- 37:40(laughing)
- 37:41- Oh, but oh, I don't like that already.
- 37:44I can tell.
- 37:45No, no thank you.
- 37:47- Do you think this is real?
- 37:49- I mean, that's so hard to tell.
- 37:52That could be like a puff of smoke.
- 37:54This is a very grainy photo.
- 37:56- Someone's in their vaping.
- 37:58- Yeah, they're in their vaping phase.
- 38:00- But we're just gonna go off the assumption
- 38:02that this is real.
- 38:03- Oh, honestly, it could be a cloud of bugs.
- 38:05- Yeah.
- 38:06- This is somewhere in Alaska.
- 38:08Do they have bugs there?
- 38:09- There's a two-cold.
- 38:11- Oh, bitch.
- 38:11This time of year, everything's green.
- 38:14So yeah, they got some booze.
- 38:16- I don't know, I thought maybe it was too cold for bugs.
- 38:18- Yeah, I mean, when it's cold.
- 38:20And then, you know. - That's true.
- 38:21- They have a nice long period where it's,
- 38:26I mean, it's still, I would say,
- 38:28even during their summer,
- 38:29it's like kind of a temperate climate.
- 38:31It's not like hot, not hot, hot,
- 38:34in the way that people think of like new Mexico.
- 38:36- Yeah, probably feels great.
- 38:38I know it's probably incredible.
- 38:40Are we moving to Alaska?
- 38:42- I think we might be.
- 38:44- I'm down.
- 38:45I'm down to live there and see how it feels.
- 38:48- Just do like a quick little vibe check.
- 38:50- Yeah.
- 38:51- Next up, we have a haunted hotel.
- 38:54- Ooh.
- 38:55- The Westmark Fairbanks Hotel's room, 277,
- 39:00is apparently haunted by a large man.
- 39:04- No, thank you.
- 39:05- I would prefer the bear.
- 39:06- I feel like I've made my feelings clear.
- 39:09- Unless you're a feeder bird.
- 39:10- Okay, and just kidding.
- 39:12- Bear has big teeth.
- 39:14I've been given to understand.
- 39:15- You said I'm not allowed to date any bears
- 39:17because it's busy, I mean.
- 39:19- Oh, I didn't say date.
- 39:21I'm just saying like if you have to pick, you know.
- 39:24- Who'd be alone in room 277 with?
- 39:27- Yeah.
- 39:28- 'Cause you probably definitely don't want to be alone
- 39:30with this large man because he will push down
- 39:34on your bed at night and even poke your shoulders.
- 39:38- No.
- 39:39- And this is weird and creepy.
- 39:42He leaves evidence behind.
- 39:45Little finger marks in the carpet.
- 39:47- Oh, okay, that's not what I thought you were gonna say.
- 39:50- When you were talking about a creepy large man.
- 39:53- Leaving evidence behind.
- 39:55- And was like like evidence evidence?
- 39:57Like coming, coming.
- 39:59- Oh man.
- 40:01- Okay.
- 40:02- No, it just takes me back to, do you remember the scene
- 40:04in Super Bad where he's like, oh yeah, no,
- 40:07we're never gonna catch him.
- 40:08Yeah, no, I mean, I just, when I became a cop,
- 40:11I thought there was just like,
- 40:12"Giz all over everything."
- 40:14He's like, probably if he'd like jacked off
- 40:16and he'd left jizz behind, then we would catch him.
- 40:20Every criminal, just,
- 40:22I can jacking off everywhere they go.
- 40:25- No, please don't.
- 40:26- No.
- 40:27- Please, nobody do that.
- 40:28- No, thank you.
- 40:28- That's a private time, private time.
- 40:31- Yeah.
- 40:32- It's fine and private.
- 40:33However many times you wanna, 10 times a day,
- 40:35I don't really care, private time.
- 40:38- I mean that sometimes that might require medical attention,
- 40:42I feel, but I mean, again, not here to.
- 40:47- Not judgeable.
- 40:47- Very young.
- 40:48- If you're in your private time.
- 40:49- Yeah.
- 40:50- Okay.
- 40:51- I was just picturing though.
- 40:53So he's, I guess like leaving, like a dog,
- 40:56like leaving like scratches in the carpet.
- 41:00- Oh, I know.
- 41:00- But I picture him just like painstakingly trying
- 41:03to like draw patterns.
- 41:04- a Dick.
- 41:05(laughing)
- 41:07- You know how many foods are.
- 41:08- shaped like Dicks? the best kinds.
- 41:11- This is a very dick heavy episode, I'm so sorry.
- 41:15- I feel like it's really just super bad heavy.
- 41:17I'm just, I mean, wow.
- 41:19I should probably have a more current reference, but.
- 41:21- Yeah.
- 41:22- I, listen, if they get better in more current movies.
- 41:26- If they stick in my head, they stick in my head.
- 41:28I, I can't control how old I was when they stuck in my head.
- 41:31- Okay.
- 41:32- Yeah.
- 41:33- Well, speaking of Dicks, next we're swinging by
- 41:37the Reflections Nightclub.
- 41:40Do you love me or do you love me?
- 41:43- We're swinging by.
- 41:45(laughing)
- 41:46- So the Reflections Nightclub,
- 41:49so obviously it's a strip club.
- 41:51- Oh, is that what it is?
- 41:53- It is.
- 41:54- That's what it is.
- 41:55- Okay.
- 41:56- Nightclub, I think, usually does that imply?
- 41:59- I feel like Nightclub implies that it might be like
- 42:02sort of a bar, dancing, like a nightclub.
- 42:07I feel like.
- 42:07- Okay, I don't know.
- 42:08I thought that was called the Clurb.
- 42:10- The Clurb.
- 42:11- Am I wrong?
- 42:12- Well, I mean, there's all kinds of different clubs,
- 42:14but like a nightclub.
- 42:16- I guess I didn't know.
- 42:17- But this is a strip club.
- 42:18- Okay.
- 42:19Here's the thing.
- 42:20That's what it is and that's what it's called.
- 42:22- It is, yes.
- 42:23- And the performers there have seen another man.
- 42:27- A tall man on the stage.
- 42:29- You don't say a man in this establishment?
- 42:32- And this is a strip club.
- 42:34(laughing)
- 42:35- Do you see a tall man on stage wearing red pants
- 42:40in a white shirt?
- 42:42And I'm like, wait a minute, Santa?
- 42:44- Sexy Santa?
- 42:46To be a firefighter?
- 42:47- Could be.
- 42:49But when they approach this man who's on stage,
- 42:52no doubt to tell him to like get the fuck off the stage.
- 42:55- He's saying I find what are you doing here?
- 42:56This is not a male strip club.
- 42:58- Yeah.
- 42:59- We don't want your sexy rock hard butt.
- 43:02- and swinging dong-a-long.
- 43:05(laughing)
- 43:06On our stage.
- 43:08- dong-a-long.
- 43:09- In the tight red pants.
- 43:11- I don't know if they're tight.
- 43:13But he just, oh, I made this joke later.
- 43:16He ghosts them.
- 43:17He just vanishes, disappears off the stage,
- 43:21right in front of their eyes.
- 43:23- Okay.
- 43:24- He also lurks around in the shadows,
- 43:26watching them close down the club for the morning.
- 43:29'Cause I assume they close in the morning.
- 43:32- Oh, that's so creepy.
- 43:34- But I'm like, I don't know, maybe he's just watching over them.
- 43:37- He's like, well, I don't know what's the vibe.
- 43:40Is the vibe like, I'm watching you like,
- 43:43oh, scrub that.
- 43:44- Or like a stripper angel, like just protecting.
- 43:47- Yeah.
- 43:48- Like he's like a previous like, bouncer or something.
- 43:50- Yeah.
- 43:51- Who's like, just still looking out.
- 43:52'Cause he's like, yo, I know these men be trash.
- 43:56- What's with these red pants?
- 43:58Like red pants are not.
- 43:59- Red pants.
- 44:00- Yeah.
- 44:01- Something I see a lot of people wearing.
- 44:03- No, but you know what, actually.
- 44:05Okay. - Are they sweat pants?
- 44:09- Oh, they might be.
- 44:11They might be.
- 44:12No, I just, I just listened to a story
- 44:15about a guy in Florida who wore all red.
- 44:20- Okay.
- 44:21- He was a fireman.
- 44:23Pain in his whole house red, had red carpet.
- 44:29So he liked the color red.
- 44:31- He really liked red, okay.
- 44:33He had like a really shmancy sports car and stuff.
- 44:38And it was like, hey bro, how are you affording this?
- 44:42I'm like, you know, a public servant salary.
- 44:46Well, he was in Florida.
- 44:47- Oh, he was a Florida man.
- 44:50- He was a Florida man.
- 44:52- Oh, yeah.
- 44:53- So he was of course a cocaine man.
- 44:56- Oh, wow.
- 44:58- Okay, and a fireman.
- 45:00- Yeah. - Very, very interesting combo.
- 45:03He has disappeared.
- 45:06The FBI was on to him for like nine years.
- 45:11He disappeared.
- 45:13It's not been seen or heard from ever since.
- 45:16- Did he go to Alaska?
- 45:18Could be.
- 45:20- Who else is wearing red pants?
- 45:22- That's so weird.
- 45:24I was saying, I don't know.
- 45:25I don't know.
- 45:27I was kind of also picturing like a red track suit
- 45:30that you just took your jacket off, you know,
- 45:32and then you have a white shirt underneath.
- 45:34- What is it when you stop talking about my track suit?
- 45:36- Track suit.
- 45:38- It's just the lure.
- 45:39- Now you gotta get a red one.
- 45:41Who is a coral one?
- 45:42Was it like Eminem?
- 45:43Who like wears a red track suit?
- 45:45Okay. - Yeah, a lot of rappers.
- 45:46- No, he's not dead.
- 45:47Okay. - Yeah.
- 45:48- I was like, is it?
- 45:49- Yeah, I could see him being a strip club in his afterlife.
- 45:54- Yeah, I mean, that would make sense.
- 45:56- Maybe it is him because all time is happening all at once
- 45:59and I answered my own question
- 46:01in the beginning of this episode.
- 46:03Okay, I had to give you that really fun one before I end
- 46:06on something that.
- 46:08- Damn it.
- 46:09- I think you and probably a lot of other people
- 46:13are gonna hate me for.
- 46:15- Great. - I'm really excited about it.
- 46:17- Okay.
- 46:18- I've been like looking for an excuse
- 46:20to talk about these things
- 46:22and I cannot even believe that I stumbled upon this.
- 46:25- Okay.
- 46:26- One summer day in Fairbanks, Alaska,
- 46:30multiple people got a very unusual
- 46:33and terrifying surprise.
- 46:36Live lampreys were falling from the sky.
- 46:41Landing in normal every day,
- 46:44non-threatening places like the frift store
- 46:47or your front yard.
- 46:49People were really freaked out
- 46:51because these things aren't normally seen
- 46:53unless you're like Cassie and you go to your local zoo
- 46:57and stare at them all the time.
- 46:59- I don't know if I like it.
- 47:01- I just hate it.
- 47:03- Yeah, I just, oh God,
- 47:04and I shouldn't show you guys my roots right now.
- 47:07It's not cute.
- 47:08- So don't Google.
- 47:09Do you know what a lamprey looks like?
- 47:11- I'm not sure.
- 47:12- Okay, don't Google it.
- 47:14- Why?
- 47:14What do they look like?
- 47:15- Let me explain it to you.
- 47:16- Now I need to know.
- 47:18- Let me explain it to you first.
- 47:19- Oh, I had to.
- 47:20- And then you can,
- 47:21and then I'll send you pictures.
- 47:23(laughs)
- 47:25- Maybe I don't want pictures.
- 47:27Okay, describe it first.
- 47:28- Okay, I'm doing it.
- 47:29You're gonna see pictures.
- 47:31Let me just go off real quick.
- 47:32So I remember the last time I was at the zoo,
- 47:34I was really, really happy because they have like
- 47:38a tank of lampreys usually there.
- 47:40But the last time I had gone, they weren't there.
- 47:43I was really upset.
- 47:44But then they got them back.
- 47:46They had like a tank full of them.
- 47:48- Okay.
- 47:48- So it was so excited.
- 47:49And they had those big like,
- 47:51like posterboard things,
- 47:52you know where you stick your face in the hole
- 47:54and you take a picture.
- 47:55So I did that.
- 47:56(laughs)
- 47:58- Okay.
- 47:59- So I have a lot of fun pictures.
- 48:01(laughs)
- 48:02So in case you didn't know what these things look like.
- 48:04- What?
- 48:05- What beauties they are.
- 48:07They are fish.
- 48:09- I think.
- 48:10- But they look similar to snakes or eels.
- 48:13They look really similar to eels.
- 48:14- I have already out.
- 48:16- They can be up to about 15 inches long.
- 48:18- No, that's too long.
- 48:20- They have no scales or fins or jaws.
- 48:24Their mouths are circular suction cups.
- 48:27Full of multiple rows of sharp little teethies.
- 48:32- What the fuck?
- 48:34This is like, why?
- 48:37Why did we make this?
- 48:38- They're like really old fish.
- 48:41- Yeah, that's a fucking dinosaur.
- 48:43- Basically like a nightmare a sore.
- 48:46They are a beautiful nightmare you guys.
- 48:49- No.
- 48:51They are parasitic.
- 48:53So they use that horrifying mouth to latch on to larger fish.
- 48:58- And basically.
- 49:00- Basically suck their blood.
- 49:03So they're also known as vampire fish.
- 49:05- I know it.
- 49:08And I brought up Twilight earlier.
- 49:10I didn't even put that together.
- 49:11- You crazy.
- 49:12(laughs)
- 49:14- Everything's connected.
- 49:15- Okay, I think I do know what these are.
- 49:18I probably suck you a picture because I was so excited.
- 49:22I think I posted it on her.
- 49:23- I really don't want it.
- 49:26- I think I posted them on our story before too.
- 49:29- Okay.
- 49:30- So fun fact, their tongue is also full of sharp teeth.
- 49:35What the fuck?
- 49:37So they use that to like make deeper wounds.
- 49:40- No.
- 49:41- That they eat from and they can even burrow their tongues
- 49:44into like the stomach of another animal
- 49:47and eat what they eat.
- 49:49Oh my God, that's so disgusting.
- 49:52Oh my God.
- 49:53- That's so fucking foul.
- 49:55(laughs)
- 49:57- I'm sorry.
- 49:58- Oh, that sounds like a great weight loss plan.
- 50:00- That's what I was saying.
- 50:01I was like, can I just attach a little lamprey to my tummy
- 50:03and it can just be brubble.
- 50:05You know, my food for me?
- 50:07- Yeah.
- 50:09- I can name it.
- 50:10- Get all that turkey George.
- 50:12(laughs)
- 50:13- Okay, we might have stumbled onto something here.
- 50:16Is this a billion dollar idea?
- 50:19- It might be.
- 50:20Let's go grow some lampreys.
- 50:22- We'll have a lamprey hatchery.
- 50:24- No, no.
- 50:26- Lampries do spawn in the China River.
- 50:29So they think that seagulls were catching them
- 50:33and then just dropping them around town
- 50:35because they're so slippery.
- 50:36- Yeah, 'cause they're like,
- 50:37"What is this hideous fucking monster?"
- 50:39- Yeah.
- 50:40- I wonder if it did try to bite them,
- 50:40but they're also really slippery and like slithery
- 50:43and squirmy.
- 50:44- Yeah, I feel like that's for the best.
- 50:46- Drop that bitch.
- 50:47- Drop it into your lawn though.
- 50:49Can you imagine?
- 50:50- No.
- 50:51- Finding one of these things just like on the street.
- 50:54- No.
- 50:55- No, no I cannot.
- 50:57- Oh my God.
- 50:58- I don't, I don't want to imagine.
- 51:00I will not imagine.
- 51:01I shan't.
- 51:02- She will.
- 51:03- I simply can't.
- 51:05- Okay, I'm gonna send you these pictures.
- 51:07They're really cute. - Cute too.
- 51:08- Yes.
- 51:09- Okay.
- 51:10I can tell already it's a lot worse than what I thought.
- 51:15- Okay, I wasn't picturing this exactly.
- 51:18Oh my God, they're so disgusting.
- 51:20- They're so cool.
- 51:23- They do look like a vampire.
- 51:25Okay, this last one, that's awesome.
- 51:28(laughs)
- 51:29Me and the cardboard cutout of the,
- 51:32yeah, so you stick your face in the middle
- 51:35of the mouth of the lamprey.
- 51:39- I got it.
- 51:39- What is wrong with these?
- 51:42- When I tell you, I fucking screamed
- 51:44when I saw Fairbanks,
- 51:46and it said vampire fish falling from the sky,
- 51:49and I was like, "The fuck is that?"
- 51:51And I saw it with the lamprey, and I was like,
- 51:53"No way."
- 51:54These are one of my favorite things,
- 51:56and I have to find a way to talk about them on the podcast,
- 51:59and I finally did.
- 52:00- That's so lucky.
- 52:03- So are you ready to move to Fairbanks Alaska with me?
- 52:08- How often do they have those things falling from the sky?
- 52:12- So it's only been reported on ones that I saw,
- 52:16and there was only four of them around town.
- 52:18So it's not like there was a whole reign of lamprey.
- 52:23- That still seems like probably four too many.
- 52:25If I'm being honest, that's too many.
- 52:31- The only way to know is just to move there and find out.
- 52:33- Okay.
- 52:36- I five moves there and never saw a lamprey on my lawn.
- 52:39I would be pissed though.
- 52:41I feel like there's a really good chance
- 52:44that you would not have falling lamprey.
- 52:49Just falling from the sky and landing on your lawn.
- 52:55- God damn goals.
- 52:56- Eat your food, goals.
- 52:58- Eat your food, Tina.
- 53:01- Goal.
- 53:01- Tots.
- 53:03- What is that? Tina you fat lard?
- 53:07- Yes.
- 53:08That's not nice.
- 53:09- But it's an animal.
- 53:10- Tina.
- 53:11- Oh my, okay.
- 53:13- Well, should we do some tarot?
- 53:15- Yeah, probably.
- 53:17- Are you ready to leave the topic?
- 53:19- Yeah, uh-huh.
- 53:20- We'll see if it's forever.
- 53:21If I find another lamprey story, I'm telling it.
- 53:24- I just like how many lamprey stories could there be?
- 53:30- I'll find more you guys.
- 53:32- You guys tell me.
- 53:33- Let's start a lamprey fan club.
- 53:37Who's joining it with me?
- 53:38- That's a separate podcast.
- 53:41- All the lamprey's all the time.
- 53:44- Oh my God.
- 53:45No.
- 53:46- I come home with a tank of them.
- 53:50- Yeah.
- 53:51- I talk like I live with you.
- 53:52- I come home with a tank of them.
- 53:54- Yeah.
- 53:55- You're like, I'm just gonna put these in the pot lab.
- 53:56- I live in the pot lab now.
- 53:58I'll be your mind.
- 53:59- He thinks, man.
- 54:00Feed him every hour.
- 54:01He'll be by.
- 54:02- You've to touch him here.
- 54:04It's time.
- 54:05- All right, let's do some tarot.
- 54:08- Let's do it.
- 54:09Cassie is spreading out the deck.
- 54:17- She's spreading that deck.
- 54:19- Ooh.
- 54:21What is it?
- 54:21Ooh, you just made that comment about,
- 54:25can you get me Christmas lights?
- 54:27- We drew the sun card.
- 54:31- Really?
- 54:32- Yes.
- 54:33And it is on the card, I'm using my nightmare
- 54:36before Christmas deck.
- 54:37So it's the one where Jack is in Christmas town
- 54:40and he's holding the lights in his eyeball sockets
- 54:43and he's just mesmerized by Christmas.
- 54:46- Wow.
- 54:46Okay, so this is oddly appropriate for
- 54:50sort of a Christmasy themed episode.
- 54:54- Yeah.
- 54:55- All right, so our key words are happiness, success,
- 54:59pleasure, self-expression, clarity and vitality.
- 55:03Just currently everything that I'm lacking.
- 55:06(laughing)
- 55:08The sun card features a blazing sun, sometimes with a face,
- 55:12sun beams rating out from it, radiating, radiating.
- 55:16- Radiating?
- 55:17- Radiating, radiating, out from it.
- 55:20Beneath the sun in the writer wait Smith deck,
- 55:23a smiling nude child rides a white horse.
- 55:27Some deck show two children with their arms around each other.
- 55:31- No.
- 55:32- Other decks picture a couple holding hands.
- 55:35- Romantic.
- 55:36- So Christmasy.
- 55:37- Yeah.
- 55:38- The sun rules the zodiac sign Leo,
- 55:40which astrologers link with children,
- 55:42pleasure and creativity.
- 55:45I can only vouch for some of those.
- 55:47(laughing)
- 55:48Creativity for sure.
- 55:49- Yeah.
- 55:50(laughing)
- 55:51- The sun card represents life itself.
- 55:54For the sun gives life to everything on earth.
- 55:57One of the most joyful cards in the tarot,
- 55:59it signifies vitality, confidence, achievement,
- 56:03attainment and success in all endeavors.
- 56:06We do have an extra excerpt,
- 56:08and this is the part that I just glam sat
- 56:10and said, "Oh, Christmasy."
- 56:11- Ooh!
- 56:13- Each day comes bearing its gifts,
- 56:15untie the ribbons.
- 56:17- Oh, like Santa Claus gives you gifts.
- 56:19- Just like Santa.
- 56:20The sun brightens any negative cards in a reading,
- 56:25no matter where it appears in the spread.
- 56:28Just like me.
- 56:29- Does it brighten the vampire fish?
- 56:32- Situation or the ghost haunting me.
- 56:37- I don't know.
- 56:38- I think so.
- 56:39There was a bright side to that.
- 56:40- I get it.
- 56:41- I got to talk about it on my podcast.
- 56:43- Yeah.
- 56:44(laughing)
- 56:45- Yay.
- 56:45(laughing)
- 56:47- Its influence is always beneficial.
- 56:50A new day is dawning and you're glad to be alive.
- 56:53I feel like this is a direct attack on me right now.
- 56:57(laughing)
- 56:58- I mean the lamprey's died, so.
- 57:01- I know and I feel like I'm kind of slowly dying
- 57:03a little bit right now, so here we go.
- 57:05- I thought that would make you feel better.
- 57:07- You lived, they died.
- 57:10- Yeah, I mean that does feel like some sort of justice.
- 57:14- I guess.
- 57:15- I don't know.
- 57:16- Yeah, well that's all we can do.
- 57:18Whatever your question, the answer is positive.
- 57:21For creative people, the sun can indicate a time
- 57:24of increased inspiration and productivity.
- 57:27- I feel like I'm being directly trolled at this moment.
- 57:32But how productive is Santa?
- 57:35- He's so productive.
- 57:37Like the efficiency is, I mean it's flawless, it's floralists.
- 57:42Whatever you undertake at this time is likely to prosper.
- 57:46For the sun is shining on you.
- 57:48This is a good time to start new projects
- 57:50and expand your horizons.
- 57:52It's your day in the sun.
- 57:55Aw.
- 57:56In a reading about money, you may receive rewards
- 57:58for your work or talent.
- 58:01Investments and business ventures pay off.
- 58:04Opportunities abound.
- 58:05For creative people, this card suggests you'll benefit
- 58:09financially from your artistic endeavors.
- 58:11Maybe it knows we just got some new subscribers
- 58:14and an upgrade on Patreon.
- 58:16- This isn't about us, okay.
- 58:18- I mean it's like a little about us.
- 58:20If the reading is about your job,
- 58:22the sun marks a period of prosperity, enthusiasm,
- 58:25honors, public recognition and attainment.
- 58:29So I have no idea who that's about.
- 58:31But it's gotta be clearly from the story.
- 58:33- Yeah, it's about, his name is Khan.
- 58:37I'm trying Miller, Con Miller who built the Santa Claus house.
- 58:41- Yes.
- 58:42- So his trade business was like booming
- 58:45and then he made his own trade house
- 58:48which ended up being Santa Claus house.
- 58:50- We love that for him.
- 58:52I feel like he just kept rolling like a snowball.
- 58:56You know, just kept rolling in the dough.
- 58:58- I love the metaphor.
- 59:00And now he gets paid to write Santa letters.
- 59:03- The dream, seriously.
- 59:05- You feel confident in your abilities
- 59:08and attract opportunities to show the world what you can do.
- 59:11Step into the spotlight, it's your time to shine.
- 59:14- And like he didn't even try.
- 59:16It just like-- - It's true, yeah.
- 59:17- Kind of all just like happened.
- 59:19- Yeah, by him just doing what he loved and being himself.
- 59:22- Oh, yeah.
- 59:24So sweet. - It is sweet.
- 59:26- It does remind me of us.
- 59:28(laughing)
- 59:29- Well, that, well, that.
- 59:30- Okay, I feel like this is maybe also about Con.
- 59:36In a reading about love, the sun represents
- 59:38a happy pleasurable relationship
- 59:40in which you feel content and comfortable.
- 59:44You and your partner inspire each other
- 59:46and enjoy being together.
- 59:47If you're looking for love, this card
- 59:49can herald a bright and beautiful romance.
- 59:52Con and Nellie.
- 59:53- Yeah. - And then Nellie was the post mistress!
- 59:56and the marriage-- - Post mistress.
- 59:58- Oh, and she did the marriages too.
- 1:00:00- Yeah. - Yeah, that's right.
- 1:00:03- My gosh.
- 1:00:04- Oh, this is interesting.
- 1:00:06Okay, and there's another extra excerpt.
- 1:00:08The Sun King.
- 1:00:10Pagan mythology describes the apparent passage
- 1:00:12of the sun through the heavens each year
- 1:00:15as the journey of the sun king.
- 1:00:18Who drives his bright chariot across the sky.
- 1:00:20Literally, you guys say-- - Santa.
- 1:00:22Santa is the sun king.
- 1:00:24- Just say.
- 1:00:25- Revolutionary. - Yes.
- 1:00:28In pre-Christian Europe and Britain,
- 1:00:30the winter solstice celebrated the sun king's birth.
- 1:00:33This beloved deity brought light into the world
- 1:00:36during the darkest time of all.
- 1:00:38Like winter time?
- 1:00:39- Yeah. - Winter solstice
- 1:00:40is like celebrating the return of the sun.
- 1:00:43- Wow. - This is like so connected and crazy.
- 1:00:47- I know, you don't really expect the sun card
- 1:00:50to really tie to Christmas so much, but there it is.
- 1:00:54- There you have it.
- 1:00:55- Since the Christian's stole Christmas from the Pagans
- 1:00:58and then they mentioned the Pagans
- 1:01:00and the winter solstice. - It's a whole dance day.
- 1:01:02- And wow, that was cool.
- 1:01:04- And I like it.
- 1:01:05- I really liked that.
- 1:01:06- It's fun.
- 1:01:07- I was also thinking too.
- 1:01:08I did mention it.
- 1:01:10The photo on the card was Jack Skellington in Christmas land.
- 1:01:15So that was pretty cool.
- 1:01:17Because he was like in the Christmas land, in the card.
- 1:01:21We talked about the North Pole.
- 1:01:23It's basically where Jack Skellington went.
- 1:01:26I mean, it's like, “Christmas land."
- 1:01:28(laughing)
- 1:01:29Oh, I love that.
- 1:01:30That was perfect.
- 1:01:31I wanted to see if there was something
- 1:01:33in the little interpretation book.
- 1:01:35When cloudy skies pass, the sun comes out.
- 1:01:38Shining warmth and happiness on everyone's lives.
- 1:01:41The excitement, renewed energy,
- 1:01:43enjoy Jack experience when he discovers Christmas town.
- 1:01:46Perfectly embody the energy of the sun, tarot card.
- 1:01:50(laughing)
- 1:01:51Upright, which is how we drew it in the app, right?
- 1:01:54If you've been sad or troubled lately,
- 1:01:56the sun is a sign you're about to feel
- 1:01:58a very positive shift in your life.
- 1:02:00Use this rejuvenating energy to reconnect
- 1:02:04with good friends, enjoy yourself, and enjoy yourself.
- 1:02:08It's the little words I always say.
- 1:02:09Yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:11There's so much enthusiasm in this card.
- 1:02:13It signifies a powerful time
- 1:02:15for inspired brands storming.
- 1:02:17(laughing)
- 1:02:20Yeah, I think we could say this
- 1:02:21is a little bit about us too.
- 1:02:23Okay, well, it's fucking better be.
- 1:02:24(laughing)
- 1:02:25I know, I've been feeling it.
- 1:02:27You've been feeling it.
- 1:02:28A lot of people haven't been feeling it.
- 1:02:30And I was thinking the other day,
- 1:02:32I just want something to reinvigorate,
- 1:02:35re-inspire, reignite, something in me.
- 1:02:39Yeah, I feel like it's coming.
- 1:02:42The card's out, so.
- 1:02:43Yeah, let's hope so.
- 1:02:45(laughing)
- 1:02:48Help us.
- 1:02:49I've got hostage eyes,
- 1:02:50'cause I feel like a hostage on this plane.
- 1:02:53You're gonna make them think I'm holding you hostage.
- 1:02:55Not you, I just feel like a hostage on this plane.
- 1:02:57'Cause it's clearly not the,
- 1:02:59it's not my higher form of existence right now.
- 1:03:02Whatever that looks like, let's get to woo-woo.
- 1:03:05I feel like everyone gets it.
- 1:03:08They're getting what you're throwing down.
- 1:03:09I hope so.
- 1:03:11Well, we hope that this card applies to all of your lives
- 1:03:16as well for the needs.
- 1:03:17Yeah, this holiday season, I hope everyone's doing good.
- 1:03:20And even though things are shitty, the world is shitty.
- 1:03:24Yeah, it's so terrible.
- 1:03:25We're always here to entertain you.
- 1:03:27Hey.
- 1:03:28(laughing)
- 1:03:29I mean, we remind you of the bad stuff too,
- 1:03:31but we're all so funny, so.
- 1:03:33Yeah.
- 1:03:34Well, I think I talked enough.
- 1:03:35Yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:36I hope I didn't scare anyone off with the lampries.
- 1:03:38I'm so sorry.
- 1:03:40Yeah.
- 1:03:41I wanna hear who loves them.
- 1:03:42Definitely not me.
- 1:03:44Who loves them like me.
- 1:03:46I know I can't wait to find another scary animal
- 1:03:48to talk about.
- 1:03:49I feel like, I don't know, that's like the scariest thing
- 1:03:52where anyone can think of.
- 1:03:54They're really freaky, but yeah, definitely open
- 1:03:58to getting some comments and suggestions
- 1:04:02about other freaky animals.
- 1:04:04Yeah, ooh yeah.
- 1:04:05It is really interesting.
- 1:04:07At least I feel like that's not something
- 1:04:10that we hear about washing up on the Oregon coast.
- 1:04:14So I feel like--
- 1:04:15Drawing out of the sky, casually.
- 1:04:17I just feel comfortable.
- 1:04:18There's a little bit of separation.
- 1:04:20I don't need to be involved with that.
- 1:04:22I find them very interesting.
- 1:04:24I just, I don't wanna--
- 1:04:25We don't need to hang out.
- 1:04:26Can we go to the zoo?
- 1:04:27And you can look at them behind the glass.
- 1:04:30Didn't you show me that one picture?
- 1:04:31I mean, you saw the picture, but that doesn't do
- 1:04:34the in person justice.
- 1:04:37Yeah.
- 1:04:38You wanna see--
- 1:04:39I think it'd be fun.
- 1:04:40I've been to the zoo in a long time.
- 1:04:41I love the zoo.
- 1:04:42I'll totally go whenever, wherever, whenever.
- 1:04:45Speaking of Christmas--
- 1:04:47Zoolites.
- 1:04:47Yes, Chris really wants to go this year.
- 1:04:50Should we go to Zoolites?
- 1:04:51We should go.
- 1:04:52I don't know if you can go into the lampry part, but--
- 1:04:54Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:04:55I don't know how any of that works.
- 1:04:57We'll ask my mom, because she knows.
- 1:04:59She's probably yelling at me right now.
- 1:05:00Right now, like, I know.
- 1:05:03My mom knows everything about the zoo.
- 1:05:04It's part of why I love the zoo.
- 1:05:06'Cause my mom--
- 1:05:07I love it.
- 1:05:07We always go.
- 1:05:08Yeah.
- 1:05:09Have a creepy ass day.
- 1:05:11We'll see you next Tuesday.
- 1:05:12See you next Tuesday.
- 1:05:14You know, unless--
- 1:05:16Probably.
- 1:05:16A bunch of vampire fish fall on your head
- 1:05:18for absolutely no reason.
- 1:05:20And then I'm never leaving my house again,
- 1:05:23which I guess we recorded my house.
- 1:05:24So I'll see you next Tuesday.
- 1:05:27Yeah.
- 1:05:28We'll be here.
- 1:05:29We'll be here.
- 1:05:30[MUSIC PLAYING]
- 1:05:33Have a--
- 1:05:35Holly
- 1:05:36Jolly
- 1:05:37Christmas
- 1:05:37It’s the best time of the year
- 1:05:38[LAUGHTER]
- 1:05:40I don't know why that came to mind as I was drinking.
- 1:05:42I think because Holly Jolly just makes me
- 1:05:44want to drink.
- 1:05:44Could you get Holly Jolly when you drink?
- 1:05:46Yeah.
- 1:05:47You're like, where's my egg?
- 1:05:48No.
- 1:05:49Yeah, in the trash.
- 1:05:51It's in the trash.
- 1:05:52Yeah.
- 1:05:54I bought it.
- 1:05:54And then I remembered, oh, right.
- 1:05:57Trash.
- 1:05:58Trash.
- 1:05:59Trash.
- 1:06:00I say this all the time, but who wants
- 1:06:01to drink something called nog?
- 1:06:04I mean, it kind of tastes like creamy toothpaste.
- 1:06:07No.
- 1:06:08[LAUGHTER]
- 1:06:09Wow.
- 1:06:10No.
- 1:06:11It's just--
- 1:06:12I don't know.
- 1:06:13It sounds like something you would like--
- 1:06:16Oh.
- 1:06:17Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:18It's that post nasal drip.
- 1:06:20Yeah. Pnwhauntsandhomicides.com
- 1:06:20Yeah.
- 1:06:21Nog.
