- 0:26Speaker 1: I was gonna guess. I was going to say Georgia.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I was not going to say George.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Actually, Joe, I'm kind of in your area. I'm at
- 0:33Speaker 2: Cocoa Beach right now. And I know you sing out
- 0:35Speaker 2: in Miami A want so?
- 0:37Speaker 1: Oh oh nice? Now, okay, Miami, I live in Miami.
- 0:42Speaker 1: How are you liking Miami?
- 0:43Speaker 2: It's cool here. I wanted to ask yall though, I
- 0:45Speaker 2: want to know what your favorite song you guys have
- 0:48Speaker 2: ever written?
- 0:48Speaker 1: Is question question? Right off the bat. Our favorite song
- 0:52Speaker 1: we've ever written, It's called Don't Charge Me for the Crime.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I think our favorite song we've ever written, I think
- 1:00Speaker 1: is probably oh Man, that's a tough one.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:05Speaker 1: The one that comes to mind right now it is
- 1:06Speaker 1: called a song called Jersey. I love that. I think
- 1:12Speaker 1: mine is probably love Bug that tracks.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Okay, that's a good one. Yeah.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I like a song called Can't Have You. It's one
- 1:20Speaker 1: of my favorites. Love Shelf is another one. Good Bridges.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Thank you so much. Well, thanks for calling. Enjoy Miami.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Stay cool out there. Yeah, thank you, it's great to
- 1:31Speaker 1: talk to you all. Talk Hi bye Sea. Were you
- 1:34Speaker 1: actually going to guess at Georgia? Yeah? I wish youd
- 1:38Speaker 1: have that? What's that waiting? All day long? I've been
- 1:41Speaker 1: written on this waiting room the conference conference call, so
- 1:46Speaker 1: that one's great. We got somebody on the line. Hello, Hello, Hello, Hi,
- 1:52Speaker 1: this is Ryan's Rosar. They're not kidding you. Where are
- 1:58Speaker 1: you calling us from? Actually, Nick wants to guess where
- 2:00Speaker 1: you're calling. I'd like to guess where you're calling from.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Can you say your name?
- 2:03Speaker 3: Oh my god?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Please?
- 2:04Speaker 3: Okay, my name is Tyana.
- 2:07Speaker 4: All right, I'm going to take a wild guess here.
- 2:09Speaker 4: You're calling from the southern California area, potentially San Diego.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Okay, southern California. Yes, not San Diego. That's too far south.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Okay, So so like Los Angeles slanning between Los Angeles
- 2:23Speaker 1: more north Sacramento. I got California. Well done, Nick, Thank you, Tiana.
- 2:35Speaker 1: How you doing.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I'm from Ventoura, Ventura County.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I was going to say Ventura and then Kevin said
- 2:40Speaker 1: not to. So what you what you need help with here?
- 2:43Speaker 3: I know you guys are dads and your brothers. Obviously,
- 2:46Speaker 3: I have a brother myself. We both have children, congratulations,
- 2:51Speaker 3: And it's just so funny because sometimes he does things
- 2:54Speaker 3: with his kids that I'm like, what.
- 2:56Speaker 2: The heck are you doing?
- 2:59Speaker 1: Spilled tea? Like what like yeah, give it?
- 3:03Speaker 3: Okay, like like silly things like Okay, my brother is
- 3:06Speaker 3: a big theme park guy. So he'll take the kids
- 3:09Speaker 3: to the theme park. And mind you, they're like three
- 3:12Speaker 3: and six, He'll take them to theme park and like
- 3:15Speaker 3: keep them up till midnight one am.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Look, I love a.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Good theme park, but I'm a stickler for bedtime, so like,
- 3:21Speaker 3: my kids are going down by eight nine at the latest.
- 3:24Speaker 3: So just like things like that, and he'll do it
- 3:27Speaker 3: like four or five days in a row.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Like what are you doing?
- 3:29Speaker 3: Your kids are gonna be so tired. I wanted to
- 3:32Speaker 3: know from you guys, what is something that your brother
- 3:36Speaker 3: does with their kids that you're like, oh my gosh,
- 3:40Speaker 3: I would.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Not do that. Oh yeah, I feel like, okay, well,
- 3:45Speaker 1: your brother sounds like a super fun time. By the way, yes,
- 3:49Speaker 1: he's great. I think look sibling sibling stuff understandable. There
- 3:55Speaker 1: are things about your siblings are always gonna bother you,
- 3:57Speaker 1: they're gonna be like, that's annoying. But when we've kind
- 4:01Speaker 1: of made a golden rule amongst our as brothers, and
- 4:05Speaker 1: we do not give unsolicited parenting advice or have opinions
- 4:09Speaker 1: on how they parent, at least to their yeah, we wouldn't.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I think you can say, at least to their face, yes,
- 4:16Speaker 1: their face. I think at the end of the day,
- 4:18Speaker 1: everyone is we kind of just to think, Look, you know,
- 4:21Speaker 1: everyone's doing their best out here, and I'm sure you're
- 4:24Speaker 1: an awesome mom and and your kids are well rested.
- 4:30Speaker 1: And also I can understand that you're probably like, hey,
- 4:32Speaker 1: as a concern, Auntie, put these kids to bed, it's
- 4:35Speaker 1: ten pm. Why they're knocking the roller coaster totally, but
- 4:38Speaker 1: also to each their own. You know, everyone's on this
- 4:40Speaker 1: wild journey raised kids could be kind of crazy and
- 4:42Speaker 1: wild and challenging. But things that bother us, it's hard
- 4:47Speaker 1: to say. You know, we kind of said we wouldn't
- 4:49Speaker 1: do that.
- 4:50Speaker 3: That's you guys are way too kind to each other.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 4:53Speaker 1: We appreciate you sharing your story. Just trying to keep
- 4:56Speaker 1: the band together, you know, just trying to keep the
- 4:57Speaker 1: band together.
- 4:58Speaker 3: I know, I mean even with this bedtimes, man, I
- 5:01Speaker 3: still have a baby that won't sleep right now.
- 5:03Speaker 1: So I guess maybe you got to keep them up
- 5:05Speaker 1: till midnight and make him ride some roller coasters. Maybe
- 5:06Speaker 1: he'll sleep. Maybe maybe there's some magic in your brothers
- 5:11Speaker 1: roller coasters.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Four months old on a roller coaster.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Yeah maybe maybe not. Well, congrats on the family and
- 5:17Speaker 1: best of luck with the sleep. Yeah, thank you so much,
- 5:19Speaker 1: all the best. Thanks for the call, Well answered Joe.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Well answered, that's good.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:24Speaker 4: I was never gonna like mention, like, you know, like
- 5:26Speaker 4: what we think, Like when Kevin's like, like when he's
- 5:28Speaker 4: parenting his kids, We're like, wow, this is terrible mistake.
- 5:30Speaker 1: There he told his parent. We never mentioned that. On
- 5:32Speaker 1: the pavers that's.
- 5:34Speaker 4: When you do stuff and I'm like, wow, why would
- 5:35Speaker 4: you ever do It's like in all the things you do, Nick,
- 5:38Speaker 4: don't do or don't do no, don't do Yeah, more
- 5:41Speaker 4: specifically or on the everyone's.
- 5:42Speaker 1: On their own parenting journey. It's a and it's a
- 5:45Speaker 1: wild roller coaster. Have you ever gotten crazy? Like so
- 5:49Speaker 1: unsolicited advice? Of course?
- 5:52Speaker 2: Hi, Hello, how are you guys?
- 5:55Speaker 1: We are good? Were talking to where are you calling from?
- 5:59Speaker 1: Don't tell us where you call, don't don't, don't tell
- 6:03Speaker 1: you what's your name? Say it again? Laura, Laura, Laura, Laura.
- 6:08Speaker 4: I think you are calling from Long Island. I think
- 6:11Speaker 4: you're calling from Boston. Nope, damn, just kidding. I think
- 6:17Speaker 4: you're going from New England, not.
- 6:18Speaker 2: From New England. Sorry, all wrong?
- 6:21Speaker 1: Are we warm or cold?
- 6:23Speaker 2: Cold?
- 6:23Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 6:24Speaker 2: No, I'm in Savannah, Georgia.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I was going to say that kens Savannah, Georgia. Yeah right, okay, yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 1: but what's going on? How can we help? There's a
- 6:34Speaker 1: lot of hauntings in Savannah, Georgia. Yeah, I went on
- 6:37Speaker 1: a haunting tour.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Where that is what we're known for. That's correct.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I think it's like just like a place like it's
- 6:44Speaker 1: just like they just like it. Or is it just
- 6:47Speaker 1: old buildings more on top of grave?
- 6:50Speaker 5: Ye? There's that?
- 6:52Speaker 1: Is that? keV? That's not fun? Build in graves can't
- 6:55Speaker 1: be doing a lot of dark history. Well, thanks for
- 6:57Speaker 1: making the phone call. What do you want to talk about?
- 6:59Speaker 5: Well?
- 6:59Speaker 2: I do want to hear what your wildest Hollywood story is,
- 7:04Speaker 2: but I also feel very compelled to tell you mine
- 7:07Speaker 2: because it involves all of you lead the way in.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I want to say twenty thirteen, my friend and I
- 7:17Speaker 2: accidentally snuck into Joe's birthday party.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Oh wow, where was your birthday in twenty thirteen? Twenty thirteen?
- 7:28Speaker 2: It was, Yeah, I think that's what it was. It
- 7:32Speaker 2: was right after you guys did a show at the
- 7:37Speaker 2: It was called like the Globe or something.
- 7:39Speaker 1: That was up at Universal Gibson Amphatheater.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Yes, that's what it was.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. Wow.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Okay, So a friend of mine and I had gotten
- 7:47Speaker 2: tickets through our jobs at the time, and we were
- 7:51Speaker 2: backstage for the first part of the show and just
- 7:55Speaker 2: chatting with some people, and somebody had told us that
- 7:58Speaker 2: Joe was having a birthday party and made it sound
- 8:00Speaker 2: like it was going to be this really big bash
- 8:03Speaker 2: and they're like, yeah, you should come. We're not going,
- 8:05Speaker 2: but here's the address. And my friend and I were like, oh,
- 8:10Speaker 2: no one will ever know that we're there. I'm sure
- 8:12Speaker 2: there's going to be like tons of people there. We
- 8:15Speaker 2: show up and it's at this like little house in
- 8:18Speaker 2: Hollywood or West Hollywood or something. We had been talking
- 8:21Speaker 2: to one of the security guards backstage at the show,
- 8:24Speaker 2: and when we got there, he was like, what are
- 8:27Speaker 2: you guys doing here? We like, still had our vip
- 8:31Speaker 2: stickers on, which obviously probably shouldn't have been wearing that
- 8:34Speaker 2: to go a birthday party looks like totals And he's like,
- 8:39Speaker 2: what are you doing here? And my friend was like, oh,
- 8:41Speaker 2: you know we somebody invited us. Blah blah blah. He said, Okay,
- 8:45Speaker 2: tell me who are you guys really? And my friend goes,
- 8:48Speaker 2: with like so much confidence, who aren't we and flips
- 8:51Speaker 2: her hair and he goes, all right, good enough for me,
- 8:53Speaker 2: and you let us inside.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Wow?
- 8:56Speaker 2: Walk in. We walk in and there's like ten people
- 9:00Speaker 2: there when we got there, and I think at no
- 9:03Speaker 2: time there was more than maybe thirty. Wow, you guys
- 9:07Speaker 2: in your date. And we ran to the bathroom and
- 9:11Speaker 2: took off our vip stickers and people started showing up
- 9:15Speaker 2: when nobody nobody said anything, that's.
- 9:19Speaker 1: So funny because who aren't you? Yeah, I hope you
- 9:24Speaker 1: had a good time, have a good time. Was it weird?
- 9:28Speaker 2: What we learned is that Kevin is really good at
- 9:31Speaker 2: pretending he knows people, because he was the only one
- 9:34Speaker 2: that came up to us and he was like, those guys,
- 9:36Speaker 2: it's so good to see you. How are you doing?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Wow? We used to the mayor. We used to call
- 9:40Speaker 1: the mayor, which was which is it? Suits? Well in
- 9:43Speaker 1: the situation. He was very friendly.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yeah, wow to figure out saying happy birthday.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Oh, this was.
- 9:52Speaker 4: At this was at the old office I think, which
- 9:55Speaker 4: was kind of a house right there. Yeah, street interesting,
- 10:01Speaker 4: I recall this.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I was wondering who you were. Yeah, I said not
- 10:08Speaker 1: to say anything. They just they just seemed like they
- 10:11Speaker 1: need to be there. Well, I mean we were.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Like quiet, we didn't take pictures, we weren't being weird
- 10:17Speaker 2: about it.
- 10:18Speaker 3: We didn't really tell people.
- 10:20Speaker 1: That's great.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Now it is a good ice break.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I love that. Well, thank you for sharing. And have
- 10:27Speaker 1: you snuck into other people's birthday parties since this?
- 10:29Speaker 2: No, I don't have the confidence. It was my friend.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Well, now you know the line, you know the line
- 10:34Speaker 1: you have to use.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I know what times of change. I don't live
- 10:38Speaker 2: in l A anymore?
- 10:40Speaker 1: Got you? I got you? Okay. So our craziest Hollywood story,
- 10:43Speaker 1: Oh man, we have quite uh quite a few. I
- 10:47Speaker 1: mean Nick spuilt uh a drink on the same person,
- 10:50Speaker 1: a very famous, same person twice.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Care to share, Nick, I was at the the Golden Globes.
- 10:56Speaker 4: I was nominated that year for Best Original Song, which
- 11:01Speaker 4: was an amazing thing, and we didn't win. So Joe
- 11:03Speaker 4: was there with me and he said, hey, let's go
- 11:05Speaker 4: to the bar get a drink, and so I got
- 11:07Speaker 4: up and it was kind of sad, but it was like,
- 11:08Speaker 4: you know, it just nice to be in the room,
- 11:09Speaker 4: to be nominate. It was really cool. I was like
- 11:11Speaker 4: a reminder, Nick, you were just nominated. You are always
- 11:13Speaker 4: nominated for a Golden Globe, regardless of you win. It
- 11:15Speaker 4: was a it was a really special night. So she
- 11:17Speaker 4: was being a great brother who went to the bar.
- 11:18Speaker 4: I grabbed a beer and there was like these high
- 11:21Speaker 4: top tables and we're sitting there talking for a minute,
- 11:24Speaker 4: and all of a sudden a friend of ours.
- 11:26Speaker 1: It was named Sean Douglas.
- 11:27Speaker 4: He's Michael Keaton's son, Michael Keaton, the legendary actor, and
- 11:33Speaker 4: and Sean Douglas walks up and say hey, guys, and
- 11:35Speaker 4: he's a songwriter.
- 11:36Speaker 1: We know him very well.
- 11:37Speaker 4: And he's like, this is my dad. And it's Michael Keaton, like,
- 11:38Speaker 4: oh wow, hey, good to meet you. And I went
- 11:40Speaker 4: to say hi, and my shoulder hit my beer and
- 11:42Speaker 4: it's spilled all over Michael Keaton and he goes, this
- 11:45Speaker 4: is going to be in variety, and he was like
- 11:47Speaker 4: laughing about it was funny, and you know, out on
- 11:50Speaker 4: stage two minutes later, he's like, I'm literally about to
- 11:52Speaker 4: go on station in two minutes to present. And so
- 11:55Speaker 4: I felt like, you know, even worse than I already did,
- 11:58Speaker 4: and I was like this night, couldn't get they words.
- 12:00Speaker 4: So then cut to like two months later, Joe and
- 12:02Speaker 4: I are at the US Open, my wife's stair as well.
- 12:05Speaker 4: It's kind of like stadium seating. So we're in this
- 12:07Speaker 4: row and the road in front of us right but
- 12:09Speaker 4: below us. All of a sudden, Sean Douglas and his
- 12:11Speaker 4: wife and Michael Keaton walk in and I have my
- 12:14Speaker 4: drink at my feet and I get up to say
- 12:17Speaker 4: hi and and you know, shake their hands again. And
- 12:19Speaker 4: as I get up, my foot hits the drink and
- 12:22Speaker 4: it spills on Michael Keaton's shoes and his ankles, and.
- 12:25Speaker 1: He's like, what is Is this a joke?
- 12:30Speaker 4: It unfortunately wasn't, and now I'm embarrassed, uh to ever
- 12:34Speaker 4: see him again after that.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Just make sure there's no liquid around you every time, now,
- 12:39Speaker 1: just get on the pot. Well, thank you for your story.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Yeah, and uh, we'll see it the
- 12:45Speaker 1: next birthday. Yeah, we'll see you see in August.
- 12:47Speaker 2: That's good.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Thanks guys, back you bye. That's wild crazy. There's another
- 12:52Speaker 1: caller on right now, goes hello, Hello, Hello, Hi, how's
- 12:56Speaker 1: it going? How's it going?
- 12:57Speaker 5: I I feel like you guys can help me. Thank
- 13:00Speaker 5: you so much for taking my call.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Happily.
- 13:03Speaker 5: My siblings and I love each other, We're huge fans
- 13:06Speaker 5: of one another. But we can barely get through a
- 13:08Speaker 5: family event without like squabbling. And you perform together, you
- 13:13Speaker 5: work together, you have this amazing podcast together.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Like, how do you deal with all that sibling stuff?
- 13:19Speaker 1: Good question? How do you do it? I mean it's
- 13:22Speaker 1: it's all the money, no kidding.
- 13:27Speaker 5: I should just start sending them twenty dollars bills.
- 13:31Speaker 1: We started off like, I'll get now double it after
- 13:34Speaker 1: the trip. I think that the way that that we
- 13:36Speaker 1: get through it is that at this point in our life,
- 13:40Speaker 1: it has to be a really big thing or a
- 13:42Speaker 1: really like repetitively annoying thing for us to let it
- 13:47Speaker 1: escalate to a fight or a situation where it's like,
- 13:50Speaker 1: why are we gonna let this ruin our night?
- 13:52Speaker 2: Right?
- 13:52Speaker 4: When when you only have in the grand scheme of things.
- 13:56Speaker 4: When you when you are with the people you love
- 13:58Speaker 4: in this lifetime, you are fortunate to have around eighty
- 14:01Speaker 4: summers together, let's call it. That's not a lot in
- 14:05Speaker 4: the grand scheme of things. If you love those people
- 14:07Speaker 4: and you think about the number of days within that
- 14:09Speaker 4: summer that you're going to get with them, it gets
- 14:11Speaker 4: even smaller totally. And if you get more and more specific,
- 14:14Speaker 4: you can narrow that down to Okay, maybe maybe in
- 14:17Speaker 4: the grand scheme of my life with this person, I'm
- 14:20Speaker 4: only going to get this much time.
- 14:21Speaker 1: It's not a morbid thought.
- 14:22Speaker 4: It's just a reality check to say, like, do we
- 14:24Speaker 4: want to spend a couple hours of that time or
- 14:27Speaker 4: in perpetuity days of that time that we have being
- 14:32Speaker 4: upset with each other? Right when it could just be
- 14:34Speaker 4: as simple as hey, I love you, Sorry, let's just
- 14:36Speaker 4: drop it.
- 14:37Speaker 1: It's not worth it. That's how I approach it. I think.
- 14:39Speaker 4: I think that's so smart. Each of us, in our
- 14:41Speaker 4: own way kind of look at it that way.
- 14:42Speaker 5: Is there some way that you like when you're in
- 14:45Speaker 5: it and there's something going on that you like, stop it.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Sometimes we just have trouble.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Like coming out of the fight coming out of the thing.
- 14:53Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I think we sometimes will be like, hey, this isn't
- 14:57Speaker 1: going to be resolved right now, just step away, or
- 15:00Speaker 1: let's just go be with the fam and like we
- 15:03Speaker 1: don't have that much time this week together. Let's just
- 15:06Speaker 1: enjoy this. We'll talk about in the morning, sleep on it.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I know, like incidences, instances where it's happened, where like
- 15:13Speaker 1: something has happened and it's the end of the night
- 15:15Speaker 1: and then there's like a blow up and then everyone's
- 15:17Speaker 1: kind of gone their own way. Sometimes just a simple
- 15:19Speaker 1: text to break the ice is someone needs to make
- 15:21Speaker 1: that first step forwards. It's just like, hey, sorry, I
- 15:24Speaker 1: know that was weird. I really didn't mean to come
- 15:26Speaker 1: across that way, or maybe you did and we should
- 15:28Speaker 1: talk about it, but like it's just sometimes someone's got
- 15:31Speaker 1: to break the ice and let it just be you,
- 15:33Speaker 1: if you can be the bigger man or a woman.
- 15:35Speaker 5: I mean, it's good to know that we're not the
- 15:37Speaker 5: only ones. Like everybody has these issues, but there are
- 15:39Speaker 5: certain pet peeves that you have of each other that
- 15:42Speaker 5: you're just like, don't do that again, stop chewing cereal
- 15:45Speaker 5: in my ear.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we all have it, and we all have
- 15:48Speaker 1: things that annoy the crap out of each other. But yeah,
