- 0:00Speaker 1: Talking about South Carolina for just a moment.
- 0:01Speaker 2: We'll wrap up with this presented by prize picks, South Carolina,
- 0:05Speaker 2: Florida state Clemson, and maybe even North Carolina. Now Clemson
- 0:11Speaker 2: did find a way to win that game in the
- 0:13Speaker 2: hot seat bowl of the ACC, but we've talked about
- 0:16Speaker 2: Norvell just a little bit. We'll include him in this
- 0:19Speaker 2: because it is somewhat pertinent, but how many of those
- 0:23Speaker 2: coaches get fired this year? Between fired or this is
- 0:26Speaker 2: their last season. Beamer, Dabo, Norvell, Belichick.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Do you want to throw one more in just for
- 0:33Speaker 3: a good measure? Loxley.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Shiano.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Yeah, Shiano, Loxley. Those six.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Yeah, those feel like they're done. Is it six for six?
- 0:44Speaker 2: Are they all replaced by the end of this year?
- 0:47Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Okay. Who's the best to save their job?
- 0:50Speaker 1: Yeah, who's the most likely to save their job? I'd
- 0:53Speaker 1: say Dabo. I'd say Dabo.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Because the postgame was telling. Because we talked about it.
- 1:01Speaker 4: We were like, yeah, I think UNC can win this game.
- 1:03Speaker 5: And everybody was like, ooh, that's a real bad loss
- 1:06Speaker 5: if Dabo and Clemson drop that game. And then Dabo's
- 1:09Speaker 5: up on his bully pulpit, and he's talking about how
- 1:12Speaker 5: God is good and all respect to that. But it
- 1:14Speaker 5: just felt like he was preaching to his choir, man.
- 1:17Speaker 5: Felt like he was, not to continue to bring in
- 1:20Speaker 5: the religious analogies here, but it felt like they were
- 1:23Speaker 5: eating it up In South Carolina, man, like, they love
- 1:26Speaker 5: that man. And I know they can be frustrated with him.
- 1:29Speaker 5: They are frustrated with him. But, like, I think they
- 1:33Speaker 5: respect him too much. I think they're going to let
- 1:35Speaker 5: him call his shot one day. And eventually Davo is
- 1:38Speaker 5: going to retire and coast off into the sunset. But
- 1:42Speaker 5: I truly think if this is his last season, they're
- 1:45Speaker 5: going to let him step down under his own accord.
- 1:48Speaker 1: They have a path to a lot more wins.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Like when you look at the paths of the different
- 1:53Speaker 2: teams that I just mentioned, theirs is easily the.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Best Reynolds played better. And that helped.
- 1:59Speaker 1: He did.
- 2:00Speaker 2: And I, the road trip on Friday night at Cal
- 2:03Speaker 2: against JKS is going to be tough. I don't think
- 2:05Speaker 2: they're going to win that game, but I don't think
- 2:08Speaker 2: Cal has played as well as I thought they might
- 2:10Speaker 2: this year. I think that's very winnable. Miami is going
- 2:12Speaker 2: to beat them by as much as Mario wants to
- 2:14Speaker 2: beat them by. They're going to be Charleston Southern. I
- 2:17Speaker 2: don't know what's going to happen in that Virginia Tech game.
- 2:19Speaker 2: We'll find out more about tech when they play pit
- 2:21Speaker 2: before them. I believe.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Florida State Clemson. I would lean Clemson a little bit
- 2:27Speaker 1: right now.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I don't have a strong feeling on that, but I
- 2:30Speaker 2: just feel like Florida State's the team that Clemson found
- 2:33Speaker 2: a way to win this weekend. Florida State continues to
- 2:35Speaker 2: find a way to lose. I think they went on
- 2:37Speaker 2: the road at Syracuse. I don't think Georgia tech is
- 2:39Speaker 2: very good. Duke is better. They might lose that Duke game.
- 2:42Speaker 2: And South Carolina is kind of a mess too. Like
- 2:44Speaker 2: there's a, there's a lot of wind potential wins that
- 2:46Speaker 2: Clemson could get on the schedule to where if they
- 2:48Speaker 2: get to seven and five, which I'm not saying they do,
- 2:51Speaker 2: but if they get to seven and five, I, you know,
- 2:53Speaker 2: I don't think they're firing him over that. Now it
- 2:55Speaker 2: might be like, Would you like to step down? Do
- 2:57Speaker 2: you want to go one more run at it? And
- 2:59Speaker 2: then we fire, like, what do you want to do?
- 3:00Speaker 2: But I think their path to like somewhat respectability is
- 3:05Speaker 2: a lot bigger than anyone else's. Whereas like Norvell's not
- 3:08Speaker 2: getting to a winning season. I don't think Beamer gets
- 3:10Speaker 2: to a winning season. I certainly don't think Shiano or,
- 3:13Speaker 2: or Loxley get to winning seasons. And then UNC would
- 3:16Speaker 2: probably be a bridge too far to sell me on
- 3:18Speaker 2: them getting to a winning season too.
- 3:20Speaker 1: So yeah, Dabo's the most likely to save his job.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Hey, guys, just a real quick break from the video
- 3:25Speaker 2: to tell you, go check out the Price Picks app.
- 3:28Speaker 2: We tell you about them all the time, but all
- 3:29Speaker 2: new users over there who play $ 5 get $ 150 in
- 3:32Speaker 2: lineups instantly if they win using code HMA on their
- 3:36Speaker 2: first lineup. It's not just lineups, though. It's team picks
- 3:40Speaker 2: as well. We've got the Heisman odds right here. Those
- 3:42Speaker 2: continue to update. Trinidad, number one. You've got Darian Mensah
- 3:46Speaker 2: up there at number two. Camario Taylor, shout out Mississippi State,
- 3:50Speaker 2: number three. You've got Jeremiah Smith, CJ Carr, Jaden Baugh.
- 3:53Speaker 2: all the way up to No. 6, Arch Manning, Gunnar Stockton,
- 3:56Speaker 2: Julian Sayen, Malachi Toney, Will Hammond, a ton of names here.
- 4:00Speaker 1: You can go play team picks as well. You can
- 4:02Speaker 1: take first team to score.
- 4:03Speaker 2: You can take a bunch of different picks on the
- 4:07Speaker 2: PrizePicks app. Go check them out. We appreciate them for
- 4:09Speaker 2: their support. Now back to the clip on the Power 2.
- 4:13Speaker 3: If you want to play contrarian south carolina because all
- 4:16Speaker 3: you need to do at this point is get to
- 4:17Speaker 3: seven and five i don't know where you're going to
- 4:19Speaker 3: get a guaranteed seven wins because it does feel like
- 4:22Speaker 3: that at some point what we are witnessing is that
- 4:25Speaker 3: the way that the culture is right now was underneath
- 4:27Speaker 3: beamer and fans are done with them they we saw
- 4:31Speaker 3: yesterday how many fire beamer chats and it's not because
- 4:34Speaker 3: of he can't find a way to win a big
- 4:35Speaker 3: game it's because of He's blown leads. It was 16-0,
- 4:40Speaker 3: and Mississippi State marched their way on back and scored
- 4:42Speaker 3: 41 unanswered points and hung 485 yards. I mean, like,
- 4:46Speaker 3: it's the way it looks in the process. But let's
- 4:49Speaker 3: just humor me. Let's say they go down to Tuscaloosa,
- 4:52Speaker 3: and a team that he's played well against, Alabama, hasn't beat,
- 4:55Speaker 3: but he's played well against. They get a win, and
- 4:57Speaker 3: then they rattle off another win against Kentucky. And then
- 5:00Speaker 3: maybe Tennessee starts to lose its luster, and they win
- 5:02Speaker 3: that game. Oklahoma is not as daunting. Texas A &
- 5:05Speaker 3: M is not as daunting. Arkansas is not as daunting
- 5:08Speaker 3: and you have a game against Clemson. You can still
- 5:10Speaker 3: get to seven and five and they'll say, look, we'll
- 5:12Speaker 3: give you one more shot. If we really want to
- 5:13Speaker 3: believe in it. I do think that the Palmetto bowl
- 5:16Speaker 3: has a lot of weight to get to seven wins.
- 5:18Speaker 3: If things were to go their way for both staffs,
- 5:21Speaker 3: what I would think this really comes down to, if
- 5:22Speaker 3: it's for Dabo, it's because they don't want to pay
- 5:24Speaker 3: the buyout. That's really what this is. Um, I want
- 5:28Speaker 3: to throw one more name out there for you and
- 5:30Speaker 3: then we can end it. Cause we've been going for
- 5:32Speaker 3: two hours and I have my wife that's losing her mind. Um,
- 5:36Speaker 3: Are you ready to start having a really awkward conversation,
- 5:40Speaker 3: even in wins? That Lincoln Riley ain't entirely safe. Because
- 5:45Speaker 3: that was not a pretty game against a team from Piscataway.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I mean, you would hope that that was a look ahead.
- 5:52Speaker 2: If you're a USC fan, I don't see my guy
- 5:54Speaker 2: Trojan in here, but you would hope that was a
- 5:56Speaker 2: look ahead.
- 5:58Speaker 1: And Oregon has not been impressive either.
- 6:00Speaker 5: So.
- 6:02Speaker 2: What we thought might be a really great matchup at
- 6:05Speaker 2: one point, uh, could just be, no, it could still
- 6:07Speaker 2: be a really good game because both teams are kind
- 6:09Speaker 2: of mid ish, but, uh, yeah, if they lose that
- 6:13Speaker 2: Oregon game after Oregon has dropped to South Carolina, uh, sorry.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Oklahoma state, um, that I don't think that's going to
- 6:22Speaker 1: be good.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Like that's the one I think USC needs and we'll
- 6:25Speaker 2: preview that on Wednesday. I'm sure that's the biggest big
- 6:27Speaker 2: 10 game, but that's the one that I think they
- 6:30Speaker 2: need to, uh, go out and make a playoff this year.
- 6:36Speaker 2: If you lose that one, I don't have you beating
- 6:37Speaker 2: Ohio State or Indiana. I mean, I don't have you
- 6:40Speaker 2: beating those two teams anyway.
- 6:41Speaker 4: I don't know if they beat Penn State.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I think if you want to make the playoff, those
- 6:46Speaker 2: are the two you have to win. You have to
- 6:48Speaker 2: beat Penn State and USC.
- 6:50Speaker 5: Like if USC loses to Oregon and Penn State, that's what,
- 6:54Speaker 5: October 10th? Lincoln's out the next day. I don't think
- 6:58Speaker 5: he's been a good fit in Los Angeles since this started.
- 7:02Speaker 5: It doesn't really feel like.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Does he go back to Oklahoma?
- 7:08Speaker 5: He'd be better off being an OC somewhere.
- 7:11Speaker 3: He's never going back there.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I got it. I got it. Jimbo Fisher, head coach.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Lincoln Riley, offensive coordinator. Brett Venables, defensive coordinator.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Where?
- 7:21Speaker 1: Could I sign you up for that? In Tallahassee. No.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Can I sign you up for that?
- 7:26Speaker 2: No.
- 7:26Speaker 1: What's in that Dr.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Pepper can?
- 7:28Speaker 3: I thought that was a beer if I was being real.
- 7:31Speaker 1: No, no.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Ashwagandha water? Is that what we're drinking at this point?
- 7:35Speaker 4: Also, I'll throw in Silverfield at Arkansas.
- 7:39Speaker 1: One year?
- 7:40Speaker 3: Look, a new athletic director is coming in.
- 7:46Speaker 4: I think he's a good person.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yeah, so is Norvell.
- 7:51Speaker 4: I liked what he said after the game. I really did.
- 7:53Speaker 4: I think he means well. Just because you.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Want the job doesn't mean you're qualified to get it.
- 7:59Speaker 1: That's really what it was. It wasn't a good hire. Like,
- 8:02Speaker 1: it wasn't.
- 8:03Speaker 2: We liked all the SEC hires except for this one.
- 8:05Speaker 1: We said that in the offseason.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Like, I'm not trying to be a jerk by that,
- 8:09Speaker 2: and the Arkansas fans deserve better, but like.
- 8:12Speaker 1: It was a bad hire.
- 8:15Speaker 2: It was a, we need to make a hire. It's
- 8:17Speaker 2: a crowded coaching search. We can't keep this guy around
- 8:20Speaker 2: one more year. This is who we're going with. And
- 8:23Speaker 2: it was not a good hire from the jump. And
- 8:25Speaker 2: nobody thought it was.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Who is ready to see Brian Kelly wearing Bronx gear
- 8:29Speaker 3: when he coaches at Rutgers next season? I've already heard
- 8:34Speaker 3: that that's what's going to happen.
- 8:35Speaker 1: That New Jersey accent is going to be lit, though,
- 8:37Speaker 1: on social media. You know that.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Okay, I despise AI. I really do. But I am
- 8:45Speaker 3: very excited to see him be welcomed in by Tony
- 8:47Speaker 3: Soprano when he takes the Rutgers job. I am very
- 8:50Speaker 3: excited for that whole thing.
