- 0:00Speaker 1: Now it is no mark some own shell on seven
- 0:04Speaker 1: ten woor.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, hey, we got through it. It's just snow. Don't
- 0:10Speaker 2: worry about it. We used to get this all the time.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We used to get snow like this every couple of weeks.
- 0:15Speaker 2: But it's a mess in some places, and it's cold.
- 0:20Speaker 2: It's not gonna even hit the freezing mark for a
- 0:23Speaker 2: few days, so it's gonna be hard to get rid
- 0:25Speaker 2: of all this snow. You had anywhere from eight inches
- 0:28Speaker 2: six inches someplace, up to eighteen inches, depends where you are.
- 0:31Speaker 2: In New Jersey you got a little less. Rockland County
- 0:35Speaker 2: up farther north Danbury you got a lot more. But
- 0:39Speaker 2: even Connecticut, Fairfield County you got eleven inches in most places.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Central Park you got about ten and a half inches. Long.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Island's a little better. We'll check in around around the
- 0:51Speaker 2: Tri state area with everybody, see how they're doing in
- 0:53Speaker 2: the snow. We'll get to Minnesota, We'll get to CBS news.
- 0:57Speaker 2: There's a little revolt going on there. And again, be
- 1:01Speaker 2: careful shoveling, Be careful shoveling, don't overdo it. You know,
- 1:06Speaker 2: there's a you know, that little vacuum what they call it,
- 1:08Speaker 2: the rumba, you know, the vacuum. You just turn it
- 1:12Speaker 2: on and it goes all around your house and vacuums
- 1:14Speaker 2: everything up. There's a snow blower version of that now.
- 1:20Speaker 2: In fact, there's a video of a guy trying it out.
- 1:22Speaker 2: It costs about five thousand dollars, but it's a robotic
- 1:24Speaker 2: snow blower that can clear your driveway. It's electric. You
- 1:29Speaker 2: gotta charge it for about two hours. And here's the
- 1:32Speaker 2: video of the guy. He just turns it on, sits
- 1:36Speaker 2: there drinking his coffee while he watches it, and he's
- 1:38Speaker 2: got a long driveway. He goes up and down his driveway,
- 1:41Speaker 2: clearing the snow, blowing the snow. So it's five thousand dollars,
- 1:45Speaker 2: but eventually they'll get cheaper, so in the future you
- 1:48Speaker 2: will not be shoveling snow. It'll be all automatic. Mom
- 1:53Speaker 2: Donnie was it was pretty good in this Everything seemed
- 1:56Speaker 2: to come out okay. He had the emergency management director
- 1:59Speaker 2: and team left over from the last administration. They were
- 2:03Speaker 2: pretty good. Mom Donnie was even seen at one point
- 2:06Speaker 2: shoveling a car out, helping out somebody in Brooklyn. He
- 2:09Speaker 2: got a shovel out and he was helping get it
- 2:12Speaker 2: out of the snow. But he came through it in
- 2:16Speaker 2: one piece. I mean, he's still crazy, mom, Donnie, but
- 2:19Speaker 2: this was his first management test. School today in New
- 2:22Speaker 2: York will be remote. There'll be no open school. You
- 2:26Speaker 2: have to do it by remote. I remember it as
- 2:28Speaker 2: in year City here he was talking about when he
- 2:29Speaker 2: was a kid.
- 2:30Speaker 3: I remember it as in New York City pubs, students
- 2:33Speaker 3: sitting there watching TV hoping to see my school's name.
- 2:37Speaker 3: A sad truth. Is governed by state wall, which requires
- 2:41Speaker 3: one hundred and eighty days of instruction. And there's no
- 2:44Speaker 3: room anymore in these calendars with all your holidays have
- 2:47Speaker 3: been at in the forst snow day. So Monday is
- 2:49Speaker 3: either going to be a remote learning day or it's
- 2:51Speaker 3: going to.
- 2:51Speaker 4: Be in person.
- 2:52Speaker 3: But make sure when you're out of school.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Enjoyed the snommer. So that's interesting. It's this new regulation
- 2:57Speaker 2: one hundred and eighty days require so they can't close.
- 2:59Speaker 2: But remote learning is not the same. The idea of
- 3:02Speaker 2: the snow day was like, he's right. You know, when
- 3:05Speaker 2: you're a kid, you were watching hoping your school was closed.
- 3:08Speaker 2: It was a snow day. You go out and play
- 3:10Speaker 2: when a few times. You got to see the game
- 3:12Speaker 2: shows and the price is right, and a bunch of
- 3:14Speaker 2: reruns on TV during the day and it's not the same.
- 3:19Speaker 2: And the remote learning, I don't know, I don't know
- 3:22Speaker 2: if that even works.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Now.
- 3:24Speaker 2: He claims that they've stress tested the bandwidth, the internet
- 3:28Speaker 2: connections and everything and it should should work. Okay, So
- 3:32Speaker 2: let's get to Minnesota. Total chaos. It's just a disastrous situation.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Everybody is wrong in Minnesota. If you look at the video,
- 3:41Speaker 2: the ice agent shot this guy named Pretty, who's a
- 3:46Speaker 2: thirty seven year old nurse. But Pretty's wrong too. He
- 3:50Speaker 2: comes to interfere with a law enforcement operation. You know,
- 3:53Speaker 2: it's one thing to protest. This is this is not protest.
- 3:57Speaker 2: You know. Protest means you stand over there and the
- 3:59Speaker 2: other out of the street with signs and you yell
- 4:01Speaker 2: bad things at him. That's a protest. But when you
- 4:04Speaker 2: get right in their face, you know, when it's January
- 4:07Speaker 2: sixth and you break into the building and run around
- 4:09Speaker 2: like crazy, that's beyond protest. That's trespassing. It's mayhem, and
- 4:13Speaker 2: this is mayhem. If you watch the videos, they're very
- 4:17Speaker 2: careful never to show you the video before the minutes
- 4:20Speaker 2: leading up to Pretty getting shot where he's in their
- 4:22Speaker 2: face going after them. And now also, if you're going
- 4:26Speaker 2: to go after law enforcement, if you're going to tangle
- 4:29Speaker 2: with them, I wouldn't bring a loaded gun with extra magazines.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Now they say so far right. The investigation isn't completed,
- 4:38Speaker 2: but it looks like he may not have taken out
- 4:40Speaker 2: the weapon, but he had a weapon on him. Cops
- 4:45Speaker 2: usually can tell when a guy's arm you can see
- 4:46Speaker 2: a bulge somewhere. They're pretty good at that. And we
- 4:49Speaker 2: don't know if they saw it. It was, you know,
- 4:52Speaker 2: as jacket was open and they saw a flash of
- 4:54Speaker 2: a weapon. But it doesn't look like they should have
- 4:57Speaker 2: shot him. There were enough cops here to wrestle them
- 4:59Speaker 2: to the ground. If he didn't have the weapon out,
- 5:01Speaker 2: there was no reason to shoot him. It's total chaos
- 5:05Speaker 2: and things can happen. But Pretty's in the wrong too.
- 5:09Speaker 2: First of all, he's committing a crime interfering with law enforcement.
- 5:13Speaker 2: And I guess at that point that we're trying to
- 5:15Speaker 2: arrest him and he was resisting arrest, so he's committing
- 5:17Speaker 2: a crime. Now he's legally allowed to carry the gun.
- 5:20Speaker 2: He had to carry permit, but you know, you're not
- 5:22Speaker 2: allowed to carry a gun while you're committing a crime.
- 5:25Speaker 2: That's also in the law. So it's an absolute mess.
- 5:29Speaker 2: But everybody is wrong here. Christy Nome was not good.
- 5:31Speaker 2: She's immediately calling him a terrorist. He may be an awful,
- 5:35Speaker 2: crazy guy confronting law enforcement like that, but I don't know,
- 5:40Speaker 2: but being a terrorist. But from what I hear now,
- 5:43Speaker 2: Christy Nome is going to get sidelined a little. She
- 5:46Speaker 2: goes right on TV and starts blasting away too extreme,
- 5:49Speaker 2: two knee jerk. President Trump is going to sideline her
- 5:52Speaker 2: a bit, get her off TV. Tom Holman reports to her,
- 5:56Speaker 2: she's the Homeland Security Secretary, works for her, reports to her.
- 6:01Speaker 2: The President last night changed that and Homan will now
- 6:05Speaker 2: report directly to the President, so he's cut her out
- 6:10Speaker 2: of the loop. That's a indicator of her being sidelined.
- 6:13Speaker 2: And then he's asked Holman to go to Minnesota and
- 6:17Speaker 2: try to straighten this out. So Holman, I think tonight
- 6:20Speaker 2: will be in Minnesota. Now. The two that are really
- 6:23Speaker 2: wrong are Fry the mayor and Waltz, the governor. These
- 6:28Speaker 2: are if there was one major cause, these guys, these
- 6:31Speaker 2: Minnesota officials. You can see the video of them over
- 6:34Speaker 2: and over and over and over again telling protesters to
- 6:38Speaker 2: go out there and to confront ice, to get in
- 6:40Speaker 2: their face, to blow the whistles, to record them with
- 6:43Speaker 2: their cameras. You know, he just encouraged this. If you
- 6:47Speaker 2: go back to like a January sixth, remember the President
- 6:50Speaker 2: said go to the capitol and protest peacefully and patriotically.
- 6:56Speaker 2: This is different Fry and Walton. There's plenty of video
- 7:00Speaker 2: of this, telling them, even after this shooting, telling him
- 7:03Speaker 2: confront ice, don't let him get away with this, get
- 7:05Speaker 2: right in their face. That's a risky thing. What was
- 7:09Speaker 2: that old song, I fought the law and the law won.
- 7:14Speaker 2: You're asking for trouble if you go confront law enforcement
- 7:18Speaker 2: physically and get right now again, protesting is you stand
- 7:22Speaker 2: over there with signs and you yell at them, but
- 7:25Speaker 2: confronting them physically, confronting them, it's a dangerous situation. And
- 7:30Speaker 2: bringing a gun with you. Now, we don't know what happened,
- 7:33Speaker 2: we haven't got all the details. By the way, the
- 7:34Speaker 2: gun was a sig handgun, and those guns are famous
- 7:38Speaker 2: for accidentally firing. There's a long history of them. It's
- 7:42Speaker 2: a very popular handgun for amateurs, but there's a long
- 7:45Speaker 2: history of them accidentally firing, so again, the investigation is
- 7:49Speaker 2: not complete. Democrats are going to use this like crazy.
- 7:54Speaker 2: One Republican, James Comer, big Republican, actually came out and
- 7:58Speaker 2: said Ice needs to pull out him in and leave now.
- 8:02Speaker 2: The problem, you might say, we why don't they just
- 8:03Speaker 2: get out of there for a while, let it calm down.
- 8:07Speaker 2: The problem is if you withdraw ICE right now, that
- 8:10Speaker 2: means these protesters want and these are not just organic protesters.
- 8:14Speaker 2: There's now all kinds of evidence it's an organized mob,
- 8:17Speaker 2: funded fueled by radical left wing groups, Soros type guys
- 8:21Speaker 2: funding this. They're finding encrypted chats giving them instructions, so
- 8:27Speaker 2: again it's an army against law enforcement. If you pull
- 8:30Speaker 2: out and give them that victory, they'll just move this
- 8:32Speaker 2: to every city. You know, Ice. Everything ICE is doing
- 8:35Speaker 2: in Minnesota, they're doing in many other cities. And the
- 8:38Speaker 2: reason there's no problems is the people aren't going crazy
- 8:42Speaker 2: trying to fight them. There's no Tim Waltz or may
- 8:46Speaker 2: or Fry riling them up. So they're doing this in
- 8:49Speaker 2: other cities and everything's going smoothly. So that's what Homan's
- 8:52Speaker 2: going to do. He'll meet with local officials and try
- 8:55Speaker 2: to work this out. So you all they got to
- 8:57Speaker 2: do is get these protesters to stop the conference, the
- 9:00Speaker 2: physical confrontation. Stand over on the other side of the street.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Wave your sign and yell. That's what you're supposed to do.
- 9:06Speaker 2: You want to blow your whistles, that's fine, but you
- 9:08Speaker 2: can't go physically after law enforcement and home. It will
- 9:14Speaker 2: make that case. But Waltz and Fry have all sorts
- 9:19Speaker 2: of reasons, even though it might not be the right
- 9:21Speaker 2: thing to do, to keep doing this because it's good
- 9:23Speaker 2: for them politically. It also totally distracts from the nineteen
- 9:27Speaker 2: billion that was stolen right under their nose. So we'll
- 9:31Speaker 2: see you got everybody yell even here in New York.
- 9:35Speaker 6: Kathy Hokel put nothing more than a cell phone in
- 9:38Speaker 6: his hand, and he was trying to kill them. That's
- 9:42Speaker 6: their story. But anyone who's seen this horrific video multiple videos,
- 9:50Speaker 6: knows that this is a shameless bullface line.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Well, we don't know that. It hasn't been investigating little
- 9:55Speaker 2: irresponsible to say that he was resisting them and fighting
- 9:58Speaker 2: with him. Now, Member Hochel has got a run for
- 10:01Speaker 2: reelection this year, up against a very strong opponent, Bruce Blakeman,
- 10:06Speaker 2: who's got a much better track record than her governing
- 10:09Speaker 2: and probably will win. So she's going to be all
- 10:13Speaker 2: over the map, left wing, she'll go right wing, she'll
- 10:15Speaker 2: go left wing. And of course, you know what Mom
- 10:17Speaker 2: Donnie would say.
- 10:18Speaker 3: You have massed agents who are terrorizing people across this country,
- 10:23Speaker 3: whether they're in.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Their home, in their car, out on the street.
- 10:26Speaker 3: You have the loss of what it means to be
- 10:29Speaker 3: an American in your own country, the sense of safety
- 10:31Speaker 3: and the sense of self. That's something we should all
- 10:33Speaker 3: be fighting.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but again, ICE is doing this in many other cities.
- 10:36Speaker 2: There's no problem. People don't get Again, there's protesters in
- 10:42Speaker 2: other cities, but they stand there, wave their sign and yell.
- 10:45Speaker 2: They don't really really try to confront them. So no, Christynoman.
- 10:49Speaker 2: You'll see her sideline. Steven Miller. I like Steven Miller,
- 10:52Speaker 2: brilliant guy, but too extreme on TV. I think you'll
- 10:55Speaker 2: see him probably not on TV so much. Now I
- 10:59Speaker 2: get to remember a lot of this gets riled up.
- 11:01Speaker 7: First.
- 11:01Speaker 2: It's riled up by Waltz and Fry telling people to
- 11:04Speaker 2: go go confront them. Those law enforcements. But also you
- 11:07Speaker 2: got all these lies going out. There's this fake story
- 11:10Speaker 2: about Ice arrested a five year old. You see the
- 11:13Speaker 2: five year old surrounded by Ice and even ABC News,
- 11:18Speaker 2: which by the way, I think is going to have
- 11:19Speaker 2: a major lawsuit here. Trump may get another twenty five
- 11:24Speaker 2: thirty million out of ABC News for this story. And
- 11:26Speaker 2: it was David Muir on the Evening News that Ice
- 11:31Speaker 2: took in the custody a five year old, but they
- 11:33Speaker 2: didn't explain the story. They were there to arrest criminal
- 11:38Speaker 2: illegal alien. And when they showed up and this criminal
- 11:41Speaker 2: illegal alien saw them, he ran, He left his house
- 11:46Speaker 2: and he ran away. He just left left his five
- 11:48Speaker 2: year old there alone. So he was gone, abandoning the
- 11:52Speaker 2: five year old. Now, if you're Ice, you're not going
- 11:53Speaker 2: to just leave the kid alone. Obviously, you take the kid. Apparently,
- 11:57Speaker 2: they took the kid to McDonald's, took care of the
- 12:00Speaker 2: kid for the day before they were able to return
- 12:03Speaker 2: her to somebody in the family. But they did not
- 12:05Speaker 2: arrest her. You see the picture of them holding her,
- 12:07Speaker 2: But it's basically to save her from I mean, the
- 12:10Speaker 2: guy fled. She's alone in the street. You can't leave
- 12:12Speaker 2: a five year old alone, so fake news going crazy,
- 12:16Speaker 2: distorting that whole story. Hit his problems over at CBS.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Stephen Colbert set a ratings record in January. Good for him,
- 12:26Speaker 2: Oh no, it's a record for the lowest ratings ever.
- 12:31Speaker 2: New record for the lowest ratings in late night for
- 12:33Speaker 2: Stephen Colbert in January, and especially in the twenty five
- 12:37Speaker 2: to fifty four year old demo. That's the demo they want.
- 12:40Speaker 2: He got the lowest number, just two hundred and eighty thousand.
- 12:44Speaker 2: That's the lowest number ever for late night all time
- 12:48Speaker 2: record set by Stephen Colbert. And sixty Minutes apparently is
- 12:54Speaker 2: on a hunger strike or something like that. You know,
- 12:57Speaker 2: they're trying to make changes at sixty minutes. Clean it up.
- 12:59Speaker 2: It's been very very corrupt, slanted, biased reporting, leaving out
- 13:06Speaker 2: half the story, deliberately, sometimes doctoring up video in case
- 13:09Speaker 2: of Kamala Harris, just distorting it. Just totally corrupt. It's
- 13:13Speaker 2: been going on for a while. Barry Weiss, the new
- 13:15Speaker 2: head of CBS News, wants to fix that. She's been
- 13:18Speaker 2: stepping in and looking at the pieces first and saying, well,
- 13:22Speaker 2: if you're going to run this, you got to get
- 13:24Speaker 2: a response from the other side. You got to include that. Well,
- 13:26Speaker 2: there's a rebellion there and they've been fighting and fighting
- 13:30Speaker 2: and fighting, but apparently they're on strike now. Sixty Minutes,
- 13:35Speaker 2: to everyone's surprise, ran a rerun last night. They did
- 13:38Speaker 2: not run a new show. It was just a rerun
- 13:42Speaker 2: of celebrity interviews, old celebrity interviews that actually people have
- 13:47Speaker 2: been nominated for oscars. But in the middle of the
- 13:49Speaker 2: Minnesota and all that, lot of big stories, a lot
- 13:52Speaker 2: of big news, not to snowstorm everything, not to do
- 13:56Speaker 2: a sixty minutes was crazy. Now, apparently she wants to
- 14:00Speaker 2: get rid of that Alfonsi woman, Bill Whittaker, Scott Pelley,
- 14:04Speaker 2: she wants to get rid of and a lot of
- 14:05Speaker 2: the staff involved in this rebellion. Expect them all to
- 14:08Speaker 2: be gone too pretty soon. Hey, super Bowl a great
- 14:14Speaker 2: game last night, Seahawks Patriots. Go to the super Bowl.
- 14:17Speaker 2: That'll be two weeks from last night, February eighth. Normally
- 14:21Speaker 2: President Trump would be at the super Bowl. He's announced
- 14:24Speaker 2: he's not going this year. He's not going to go
- 14:26Speaker 2: to the super Bowl. He said it's just too far.
- 14:28Speaker 2: It's in California. Where was the super Bowl last year?
- 14:33Speaker 2: I don't remember, but it wasn't that far. He just
- 14:35Speaker 2: said it's too far to go. Now A lot of
- 14:36Speaker 2: people think the other reason is he's not happy with
- 14:39Speaker 2: the halftime entertainment Bad Bunny and Green Day. Green Day
- 14:44Speaker 2: frontman Billy Joe Armstrong called Trump all kinds of names,
- 14:49Speaker 2: called him a Nazi or something like that, and this
- 14:52Speaker 2: Bad Bunny is just you know, radical left wing guy. Remember,
- 14:56Speaker 2: he wouldn't do any shows in the US. He moved
- 14:58Speaker 2: his tour out of the country beg as he said
- 15:00Speaker 2: he did not want to do his show anywhere where
- 15:02Speaker 2: Ice was. I mean, he's really really been attacking Trump. Yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 2: I mean he was trying to He didn't want any
- 15:12Speaker 2: ICE people. Oh, he didn't want to hear it is.
- 15:14Speaker 2: He moved the tour to Puerto Rico, didn't want to
- 15:16Speaker 2: book any US dates over fears his fans would be
- 15:20Speaker 2: detained by ICE agents. Armstrong from Green Day called Trump hitler.
- 15:27Speaker 2: So I don't think he wants to be there for that.
- 15:29Speaker 2: So you will not see him at this year's Super Bowl. Well, hey,
- 15:32Speaker 2: we'll take some calls in a moment. Eight hundred three
- 15:34Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred
- 15:38Speaker 2: three to two one zero seven ten.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Get instant access to Mark by setting a freeset in
- 15:45Speaker 1: the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone show on wo WASH.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Bill Lafayette,
- 15:59Speaker 2: New Jersey.
- 16:00Speaker 8: Bill.
- 16:00Speaker 2: How you doing? Bill? You're there? No, Let's go to
- 16:07Speaker 2: uh Chris and Beth Page. Chris, how you doing?
- 16:11Speaker 9: Hey?
- 16:11Speaker 4: Mark?
- 16:11Speaker 10: Good?
- 16:13Speaker 5: You know President Trump always plays multi level chess. So
- 16:16Speaker 5: what I would do if I was in right now,
- 16:19Speaker 5: I would quietly, not with any thunder, slowly, but surely,
- 16:23Speaker 5: remove the Ice agents from Minneapolis. Let them suffer.
- 16:27Speaker 2: On their own.
- 16:27Speaker 5: Let these idiots fall on their own. The people around
- 16:31Speaker 5: the state and.
- 16:32Speaker 2: The city people say, just pull out, let them have,
- 16:35Speaker 2: Let them be a sanctuary city and have all the
- 16:37Speaker 2: trouble that comes with it. But then it would encourage
- 16:39Speaker 2: the protesters to go to every city and do the
- 16:41Speaker 2: same thing. You don't want that.
- 16:42Speaker 5: If you do it quietly, they're.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Being watched day and night. Everybody's watching them. You wouldn't
- 16:48Speaker 2: be able to do it quietly. Hey, how's the snow
- 16:50Speaker 2: out there? In Beth Page?
- 16:52Speaker 5: I got exactly a Footmark, I'm about to head out
- 16:55Speaker 5: and do part two of my shelve Oh it.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Wasn't that bad. On are people out you see car driving?
- 17:00Speaker 2: Or is there traffic out there?
- 17:01Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 17:02Speaker 5: I see because in fact, right outside, I'm looking around
- 17:04Speaker 5: out the window now my street is I could see
- 17:06Speaker 5: the payment.
- 17:07Speaker 11: I like.
- 17:07Speaker 5: The guys did a great job. That takes a great
- 17:09Speaker 5: place to live.
- 17:10Speaker 2: It.
- 17:10Speaker 5: We're just they're always on top of it. So you know,
- 17:13Speaker 5: it's fine. My wife just went to seven eleven and
- 17:15Speaker 5: get me some coffees.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Things are good, all right, very good. Let's go to
- 17:19Speaker 2: Dan and Queens. Dan, how's your street look?
- 17:23Speaker 11: Uh?
- 17:24Speaker 8: Normal?
- 17:25Speaker 2: Oh? Good?
- 17:26Speaker 7: Pretty good, very good. The reason that Democrats are fighting
- 17:31Speaker 7: so hard in Minnesota is because they know that pusand
- 17:37Speaker 7: Trump is onto their money schemes, and that's what it's
- 17:39Speaker 7: all about, protecting their money flow from all the welfare programs.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Well, yeah, they got a number of reasons to fight.
- 17:44Speaker 2: A it does distract from the nineteen billion stolen in Minnesota.
- 17:49Speaker 2: But also they don't want to lose these illegals because
- 17:52Speaker 2: they need them for votes. It's one reason Minnesota became
- 17:55Speaker 2: a blue state because so many illegals got dumped there.
- 17:58Speaker 2: If you take enough of them out of there there,
- 18:00Speaker 2: they won't have any blue votes, enough blue votes to win. Also,
- 18:03Speaker 2: if you pull enough of them out of there, they
- 18:05Speaker 2: can lose a congressional seat or two. That's you know,
- 18:09Speaker 2: people don't realize how many congressional seats depend on these
- 18:11Speaker 2: illegals being there. The census counts bodies, not whether the
- 18:15Speaker 2: citizens or not. So that's why during the Bide adminstration,
- 18:19Speaker 2: remember those planes were flying illegals all over the place,
- 18:23Speaker 2: dropping them off in weird places. That was to add
- 18:26Speaker 2: to the census, get congressional seats there. Let's go to
- 18:29Speaker 2: Chris in Canada. Chris, how you doing okay? Mark?
- 18:32Speaker 10: I wish you were back in Manhattan.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Tho, I tell you, well, we're in Canada. You have
- 18:35Speaker 2: snow up there.
- 18:37Speaker 10: Oh yeah, I'm in Montreal. Was minus eight yesterday and
- 18:40Speaker 10: minus fifteen the day before. So you know, I meant
- 18:45Speaker 10: I only meant to be here for three or four days,
- 18:47Speaker 10: and now I'm here for like seven eight days.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Oh you got snowed in. Airport's closed. Can't get back?
- 18:51Speaker 12: Well I don't.
- 18:51Speaker 10: I don't want to drive. I drove back and I
- 18:53Speaker 10: just called the hotel in Saratoga. The seat and they
- 18:57Speaker 10: have like eighteen inches, so I got to drive back
- 18:59Speaker 10: to that, so I don't want.
- 19:00Speaker 2: To stay there.
- 19:03Speaker 4: But anyway, I agree with the man who called before.
- 19:07Speaker 10: But I think all of this is done on purpose
- 19:10Speaker 10: to take the pressure off of ill Han. And uh,
- 19:13Speaker 10: of course it's finding the money. But I think this
- 19:17Speaker 10: should be the hill that the Republicans die on to
- 19:19Speaker 10: get these these these voters out of the country. Just
- 19:22Speaker 10: show how many there are and show what a difference
- 19:24Speaker 10: it makes.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I mean, all right, but you got to you do
- 19:27Speaker 2: have a problem. Listen, you can't The shooting of Rene
- 19:30Speaker 2: Good justified, although top police officials off the record, so
- 19:34Speaker 2: you know, you probably didn't have to fire. Just get
- 19:36Speaker 2: out of the way. You can capture a block or
- 19:38Speaker 2: two later. But if you wanted to fire, it's justified
- 19:42Speaker 2: if you did. I mean, they totally legal. The one
- 19:46Speaker 2: this weekend, I don't know, it's questionable. It's borderline. But again,
- 19:49Speaker 2: you don't need these shootings. And uh, again, everybody's to
- 19:53Speaker 2: blame here. You don't want to blame the law enforcement guys,
- 19:55Speaker 2: the ice guys, because they're in a horrible situation. The
- 20:00Speaker 2: the most blame would go to Mayor Fry, Governor walls,
- 20:03Speaker 2: telling people to go confront them, get in their face,
- 20:05Speaker 2: get physical, confront them. That's just going to cause stuff
- 20:09Speaker 2: like this. You know, look at January sixth, he had
- 20:11Speaker 2: a protester shot Ashley Babbitt, no reason to shoot her.
- 20:14Speaker 2: She was unarmed in about ten fifteen feet away. But
- 20:19Speaker 2: these guys can you know, even law enforcement as good
- 20:21Speaker 2: as they are, they can panic sometimes in those suit
- 20:23Speaker 2: But you don't want to have these horrible, horrible, violent
- 20:26Speaker 2: confrontations going on. And that's remember January sixth. All day long,
- 20:30Speaker 2: they kept yelling at Trump, go on the air, go online,
- 20:34Speaker 2: go tell them to go home, tell them to go
- 20:36Speaker 2: Why is anybody saying this to Fry and Waltz? Tell
- 20:39Speaker 2: these people to go home. Stop the confrontations. Let's go
- 20:42Speaker 2: to Maria in Yonkers. Maria, how you doing?
- 20:45Speaker 4: Hi?
- 20:46Speaker 8: Mark Great, how are you doing today?
- 20:47Speaker 2: What does Yonkers look like? Are the streets clear? Is
- 20:50Speaker 2: their traffic out there?
- 20:52Speaker 13: It's awful, awful? And I know our mayor has aspirations
- 20:56Speaker 13: of I don't know if it's true, but maybe you
- 20:57Speaker 13: can verify becoming lieutenant governor.
- 21:00Speaker 5: But he's not giving a.
- 21:01Speaker 13: Great job if he wants to become lieutenant governor that streets.
- 21:04Speaker 11: Are awful out here. You have about two.
- 21:06Speaker 13: Feet of snow.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Oh so you're not going to work today, obviously remote today?
- 21:12Speaker 2: Oh good? And what do you want to say, Maria?
- 21:15Speaker 14: I just wanted the comments on may it Spanner?
- 21:17Speaker 11: You got to do a better.
- 21:18Speaker 7: Job here in Yonkers.
- 21:19Speaker 8: Oh.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Who's the mayor of Yonkers Stane Mike Spanish. Oh, Mike
- 21:23Speaker 2: span All right, Mike Spano, if you're listening, start plowing,
- 21:27Speaker 2: more plowing.
- 21:28Speaker 13: That's right, start plowing.
- 21:29Speaker 14: That's correct.
- 21:30Speaker 13: My daughter was first responder and very hot time getting
- 21:34Speaker 13: out of the neighborhood here.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Terrible. All right, Well, I hope it gets better today.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I hope they get those plows out there. Let's go
- 21:39Speaker 2: to Patrick and Connecticut. Where are you in Connecticut? Patrick?
- 21:43Speaker 14: Old Line, Connecticut?
- 21:44Speaker 7: Mark?
- 21:45Speaker 2: Did you get that's way up there? You didn't get
- 21:47Speaker 2: snow up there, did you?
- 21:48Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 21:48Speaker 4: We did.
- 21:49Speaker 5: We got a better foot Oh.
- 21:52Speaker 14: But I wanted to say that it's time on the
- 21:55Speaker 14: opposite of the people that are calling in, I think
- 21:57Speaker 14: we need to dial up, not dial back.
- 22:00Speaker 9: You know, we have to work.
- 22:01Speaker 14: Within the Posse Coomatatus Act, but it's time to send
- 22:05Speaker 14: in the active army. To provide security for our ICE
- 22:08Speaker 14: agents provide security for federal buildings. It's time to take
- 22:14Speaker 14: It's time to dial it up or this will get
- 22:17Speaker 14: out of control. It's already talking. I think the Attorney
- 22:20Speaker 14: General in Arizona's already talking about how to use this
- 22:23Speaker 14: as civil and the civil disobedience.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well you got a good point there.
- 22:28Speaker 2: You could use the Insurrection Act and send in the military.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Now the purpose of the military. ICE needs to do
- 22:33Speaker 2: their job. Protesters again, if they want to protest, you
- 22:36Speaker 2: stand over there other side of the street with your
- 22:38Speaker 2: signs and you yell. And normally this is the real
- 22:41Speaker 2: difference in Minnesota. Normally police would be containing the protesters
- 22:45Speaker 2: behind barricades. But the crazy left wing governor and mayor
- 22:51Speaker 2: in Minnesota want this trouble, so they've pulled the police out.
- 22:54Speaker 2: So with the Insurrection Act, you can send in the military.
- 22:56Speaker 2: It's been done many, many times. It was done Rodney
- 23:01Speaker 2: King riots in La. They sent in the military to
- 23:03Speaker 2: maintain order and control things. So the military could come
- 23:08Speaker 2: in just to set up barricades and contain the protesters
- 23:11Speaker 2: so they're not physically all over the ICE agents there
- 23:15Speaker 2: across the street on the other side of the street,
- 23:18Speaker 2: yowling and screaming. That's fine, blowing their whistles, but no
- 23:21Speaker 2: physical confrontation. So that's another answer. But Tom Holman is
- 23:25Speaker 2: on his way to Minnesota. He's going to meet with
- 23:28Speaker 2: everybody there try to settle this. Hey, we'll talk to
- 23:30Speaker 2: the great talk show host Howie Carr coming up next.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Let's see what he thinks about all of this. Right
- 23:35Speaker 2: after the news on seven to ten WOR.
- 23:38Speaker 1: You know what's why? He tells you why, Mark Simone,
- 23:42Speaker 1: He's on seven ten WOR.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Well, Howie Carr one of the great talk show hosts
- 23:48Speaker 2: in America. You can hear a show on iHeart and
- 23:51Speaker 2: get a show as podcast iHeart, or just go to
- 23:55Speaker 2: Howie Carrshow dot com. You get everything there, including his
- 23:58Speaker 2: best selling books, great great books by HOWI Carr. Just
- 24:02Speaker 2: go to Howie Carr Show dot com. Howie Carr, how
- 24:05Speaker 2: you doing very good?
- 24:08Speaker 9: Very good? I know one thing, Trump's not pulling anybody
- 24:11Speaker 9: out of Minnesota.
- 24:13Speaker 2: You agree, Yeah, No, you can't do that because then
- 24:15Speaker 2: these organized the networks pushing these protesters would head to
- 24:19Speaker 2: every other city. It would never stop then.
- 24:22Speaker 9: But right right, and I mean that's his that's his mo.
- 24:25Speaker 9: You know from day one, you know, you never complain,
- 24:27Speaker 9: you never explained, right, you know, and you never back down.
- 24:31Speaker 9: So he's I mean, you know he's going to send
- 24:33Speaker 9: Homan there, I guess, but you know, instead of no.
- 24:36Speaker 9: But you know, I don't. I don't think there's that
- 24:39Speaker 9: much of a change. I mean, you know, the fact
- 24:41Speaker 9: is Mark, as he said in the True Social Post.
- 24:44Speaker 9: You know, all these states much much larger than Minnesota, like,
- 24:50Speaker 9: for instance, the state where I am, Florida, Texas, even Arizona, Georgia,
- 24:56Speaker 9: North Carolina, some of them even have Democrats governors. They've
- 25:00Speaker 9: had no such problems as this done.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Well, you remember January sixth, all Daily News and the
- 25:07Speaker 2: Democrats screaming to President Trump, go on TV, tell them
- 25:09Speaker 2: to go home, tell them to go home to the Well,
- 25:11Speaker 2: how come you haven't heard anybody calling for Fry or
- 25:14Speaker 2: Waltz to tell the protesters to go home and stop this.
- 25:17Speaker 9: Right right? Yeah, you know, so much has changed here.
- 25:21Speaker 9: You know, remember when the Democrats they believe all women
- 25:26Speaker 9: met too, all that stuff. Now they're going into the
- 25:29Speaker 9: streets to defend these people, many many of whom are
- 25:34Speaker 9: convicted of domestic abuse. Remember when the Democrats had Mothers
- 25:39Speaker 9: against drunk drivers, were they wanted to lock up all
- 25:41Speaker 9: the drunk drivers. Now many many of these people are
- 25:44Speaker 9: drunk drivers. Whatever Mark, whatever happened to the mothers against
- 25:48Speaker 9: drunk drivers? Yeah, and then they wanted to repeal this
- 25:53Speaker 9: literally repeal the Second Amendment that was part of Hillary
- 25:55Speaker 9: Clinton's twenty sixteen campaign. Now they're now they're saying, oh,
- 26:01Speaker 9: this is a you know, they you have the right
- 26:03Speaker 9: to carry, uh, you know, a firearm in public. And
- 26:07Speaker 9: and you know, the the Michael Byrd who killed an
- 26:10Speaker 9: unarmed Air Force veteran named Ashley Babbitt. He was he
- 26:14Speaker 9: was a hero. He was you know, he was the
- 26:16Speaker 9: greatest law man since Wyatt Earp, you know, shooting an
- 26:20Speaker 9: unarmed woman. And now this the these guys in Minneapolis,
- 26:25Speaker 9: this this guy was hard, that he had too fully
- 26:27Speaker 9: loaded magazines and they shoot him and they're they're Nazis.
- 26:31Speaker 9: I mean, they can turn on a dime here. And
- 26:35Speaker 9: you know, you've seen all these these videos. You're you're
- 26:37Speaker 9: posting some of them, you know, uh A Biden of
- 26:42Speaker 9: of Obama, of Clinton, of Hillary Clinton, Amy klobashar All
- 26:47Speaker 9: talking about the need for Pelosi Feinstein. Oh, you know,
- 26:51Speaker 9: the the illegal aliens are coming over here, Schumer to
- 26:55Speaker 9: take welfare that you know. Bernie Sanders says, you're not
- 26:59Speaker 9: our country. You don't have a border, And it's a
- 27:02Speaker 9: Koch brother plot to open up the borders. It really
- 27:07Speaker 9: is orwellian, isn't it.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's But if you were the president, if you
- 27:13Speaker 2: were a president Trump, would you go on TV more?
- 27:15Speaker 2: Would you try to explain this more? Uh? I mean,
- 27:19Speaker 2: I know he's going to kind of pull Nome out
- 27:20Speaker 2: of the out of the loop and have home and
- 27:23Speaker 2: report directly to him. But you keep doing what you're doing.
- 27:27Speaker 2: But wouldn't you kind of tone down the rhetoric a
- 27:29Speaker 2: little cool?
- 27:31Speaker 9: I mean, who's who's uh you know, who's I mean,
- 27:33Speaker 9: who's really pushing the rhetoric? I mean the you know,
- 27:36Speaker 9: you know they they they say, look, here's the guy
- 27:39Speaker 9: we were trying to pick up on Saturday. And like
- 27:41Speaker 9: I said, he's he's he's basically a career criminal. I mean,
- 27:45Speaker 9: he's he's he's a domestic abuser, he's driving without a license.
- 27:50Speaker 9: I'm certain he's on welfare at least one or two
- 27:53Speaker 9: three forms of welfare. I mean, you know, you know,
- 27:57Speaker 9: how much do you do you have to come on
- 27:58Speaker 9: and defend the eat each uh, each pinch that you
- 28:02Speaker 9: make of one of these uh, these gang bangers.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, this guy is pretty is a nurse. Uh
- 28:10Speaker 2: But and it's perfectly legal to carry a gun. He's
- 28:12Speaker 2: got a license. But why would you have a gun
- 28:15Speaker 2: with extra magazines? What was he expecting? How why would
- 28:20Speaker 2: you bring them? We're going to confront police.
- 28:23Speaker 9: That's what I mean. Well what was he thinking? I mean,
- 28:25Speaker 9: it's one thing that they say, oh he had a
- 28:27Speaker 9: he had a All he had was his cell phone
- 28:29Speaker 9: and he was recording them on his camera. But he
- 28:32Speaker 9: had the gun. I mean, wasn't that a provocative act?
- 28:38Speaker 9: I mean again, they they they've been saying all along,
- 28:40Speaker 9: we need common sense gun reform. You can't carry guns
- 28:43Speaker 9: in public. They go, you know, when a when a
- 28:45Speaker 9: state like Florida or Texas passes open carry or even
- 28:49Speaker 9: New Hampshire I think as open carry, they go in
- 28:52Speaker 9: say now they're now they you know, they sound like uh,
- 28:56Speaker 9: you know the Founding Fathers, you know, refusing to ratify
- 29:00Speaker 9: the Constitution until they passed the Bill of Rights.
- 29:03Speaker 2: You know.
- 29:04Speaker 9: I mean again, there there's there is absolutely no consistency
- 29:08Speaker 9: with these people, and it's a and do you really
- 29:09Speaker 9: think they care about about pretty good? Pretty and good?
- 29:14Speaker 9: This is there there, you know, there there cannon fodder
- 29:18Speaker 9: in the fundamental transformation of America.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and then, uh, fake news is always bad, but
- 29:24Speaker 2: been really bad this past week. The fake story about
- 29:27Speaker 2: arresting a five year old that never happened.
- 29:29Speaker 9: And yeah, yeah, they did the same thing in Massachusetts
- 29:32Speaker 9: and Leminster. You know the guy, the guy ran into
- 29:34Speaker 9: the house and this is this is their mo o.
- 29:37Speaker 9: You know, if you catch them, they run into the
- 29:39Speaker 9: house and try to escape, and then you grab the
- 29:42Speaker 9: kid and what do you what do you do with
- 29:44Speaker 9: the kid? You know, it happened, Actually it has happened twice
- 29:47Speaker 9: in Massachusetts. I'm sure it's happened all over the country
- 29:50Speaker 9: as well. They arrested this kid in the Milford He
- 29:54Speaker 9: was like a soccer player. Because his his father was
- 29:57Speaker 9: an illegal alien with a record as long as his arm,
- 30:00Speaker 9: and they pulled they pulled them over looking for the father,
- 30:03Speaker 9: and the father ran into the woods, and so they
- 30:06Speaker 9: grabbed the kid, who's also an illegal alien. What are
- 30:08Speaker 9: they supposed to do?
- 30:10Speaker 2: Yeah, obviously you have to take the kid. You can't
- 30:11Speaker 2: just leave the kid alone five years old. But hey,
- 30:15Speaker 2: Hallie Carr from New England, give us some snow advice.
- 30:18Speaker 2: We got like ten inches here and we're in panic.
- 30:22Speaker 2: This would be like a spring day in Boston.
- 30:24Speaker 9: Wouldn't it.
- 30:27Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 30:27Speaker 9: It's not a great day anywhere. My advice is to
- 30:31Speaker 9: is to move to Florida, like I have done for
- 30:33Speaker 9: the six months and one day of the year, Mark.
- 30:36Speaker 9: I don't want to rub it in, but it's eighty
- 30:37Speaker 9: degrees right now.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Yeah. But you know, as they say, the problem with
- 30:41Speaker 2: living in Florida is you have to live in Florida.
- 30:43Speaker 2: So I mean it's kind of like basically a big
- 30:46Speaker 2: retirement home down there.
- 30:49Speaker 9: Not really. I mean again, they've they've arrested more illegal
- 30:53Speaker 9: aliens in Florida than anywhere in the country except for Texas.
- 30:56Speaker 9: And we haven't had a single riot. And know the
- 31:02Speaker 9: you know, property values are through the roof. I mean,
- 31:05Speaker 9: as opposed to say, New York City, how are the
- 31:07Speaker 9: how are the commercial property values doing in Manhattan?
- 31:10Speaker 11: Mark?
- 31:11Speaker 2: Well, actually they're doing great, believe it or not. We
- 31:13Speaker 2: had a report from Steve Cuzo commercial building Leasing. All
- 31:17Speaker 2: that is setting records in the even with Mom, Donnie.
- 31:20Speaker 2: You know, you got like seven major skyscrapers going up
- 31:24Speaker 2: in midtown and commercial leasing is going nuts right now.
- 31:28Speaker 9: I'd rather invest in West Palm Beach where the Wells
- 31:32Speaker 9: Fargo is just moving their wealth management.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Unit. All right, you can't win. You can't argue with
- 31:39Speaker 2: people in Florida. They love Florida, so it's impossible. Hey,
- 31:43Speaker 2: if you if you want to listen to how He

- 33:18Speaker 2: to three. Then you got the most listened to radio
- 33:21Speaker 2: show in America Sean Hannity at three, Jesse Kelly at six,
- 33:24Speaker 2: you got wonderful news show. It's great every night nine
- 33:28Speaker 2: to midnight. Jimmy Fayala on seven to ten wor.
- 33:33Speaker 15: To Mark Simone on wor.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Well. Just looking at the snow totals from all over
- 33:42Speaker 2: the place. Yeah, it's about no Manhattan, it was quite
- 33:47Speaker 2: a difference. Washington Heights thirteen inches, Central Park ten inches,
- 33:53Speaker 2: Parts of Queens eleven inches, Williamsburg ten inches. New Jersey
- 33:59Speaker 2: wide range like eight to seventeen inches, depending where you
- 34:03Speaker 2: are in New Jersey. Let's see Fairfield County pretty bad,
- 34:09Speaker 2: eleven inches in most places, a bridgeport a little more.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Then if you go north Danberry, Rockland, they really got
- 34:15Speaker 2: hit hard. Now the problem is it's going to be
- 34:18Speaker 2: freezing for the rest of the week. Freezing not enough
- 34:22Speaker 2: to melt any snow. So today may be the warmest
- 34:27Speaker 2: day of the week. It'll get into the twenties, but
- 34:29Speaker 2: then it could be in the teens. Let me check. Yeah,
- 34:33Speaker 2: low twenties for most of the week. So you can
- 34:36Speaker 2: shovel the streets and pile it up, but it won't
- 34:40Speaker 2: go anywhere you need to actually melt it. Now, you
- 34:43Speaker 2: might see some places that are cleared up, you know,
- 34:48Speaker 2: if you're out in the suburbs, and most of the
- 34:50Speaker 2: places you go the shopping center, the mall, half the
- 34:54Speaker 2: parking lot, has gone because they've had to pile up
- 34:56Speaker 2: the snow in places, so you lose a lot of
- 35:00Speaker 2: parking spaces. Now believing not, there's some malls that actually
- 35:02Speaker 2: have these snow melters over on the side. It looks
- 35:05Speaker 2: like some big mechanical thing and the plows pick up
- 35:08Speaker 2: the snow, dump it into there, it melts, it puts
- 35:10Speaker 2: it down the drain, and it could actually totally clear
- 35:13Speaker 2: they're parking lots. I'm looking. I've been checking all the Westchester, Connecticut,
- 35:17Speaker 2: New Jersey stuff. Looks like everything's reopening today. Stores are reopening,
- 35:22Speaker 2: the supermarkets that were closed yesterday are reopening. But again,
- 35:27Speaker 2: the ice is not going to go anywhere for a while.
- 35:29Speaker 2: The snow and again freezing. So be very careful out
- 35:33Speaker 2: there walking. Don't slip, careful on the sidewalks. Manhattan. The
- 35:38Speaker 2: great thing about Manhattan, nothing ever closes. Manhattan was great
- 35:42Speaker 2: last night. I went out walking around. The sidewalks were
- 35:46Speaker 2: a little messy, but you could walk around and every
- 35:47Speaker 2: time you'd look into a restaurant it was packed. Supermarkets
- 35:50Speaker 2: were open. That's Manhattan. Tom Holman, on his way to Minnesota,
- 35:57Speaker 2: President Trump tweeting out yestually we'll get to this in
- 35:59Speaker 2: the next He is kind of sidelining Christy Nome a little.
- 36:03Speaker 2: But what's he going to do there? At Wall Street Journal,
- 36:06Speaker 2: which is not very Trump friendly, really went after him.
- 36:09Speaker 2: We'll get to all of that coming up, and we'll
- 36:11Speaker 2: get to the Milania film and we'll get to will
- 36:14Speaker 2: there be a shutdown over defunding ice? We'll get to that,
- 36:17Speaker 2: and Bruce Blakeman will be with us. The county executive
- 36:20Speaker 2: best governor in New York that's basically what a county
- 36:23Speaker 2: executive is. We'll get to that coming up in the
- 36:25Speaker 2: next hour. Lots to talk about. Will bring you all
- 36:28Speaker 2: the latest on the snow, the storm and more. Mark
- 36:31Speaker 2: Simone here every day ten to noon or listen anytime
- 36:34Speaker 2: you want. Just get the podcast wherever you get podcasts,
- 36:38Speaker 2: and then you can hear us anytime day or night
- 36:40Speaker 2: back right after the news on seven to ten WHR.
- 36:45Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show on se WR.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Well, everybody probably a home today. It's a remote day
- 36:56Speaker 2: for most people. Will work. If you're a student in
- 36:58Speaker 2: New York City, it's remote. They use that what they
- 37:01Speaker 2: called that Google classroom. The mayor says it should work.
- 37:06Speaker 2: It's not a good thing. It just closed the schools
- 37:08Speaker 2: for the day. But as he explained, they can't close
- 37:12Speaker 2: for the day. Is this that we're going to exhaust
- 37:13Speaker 2: every option to protect? No, No, that's not it. Where
- 37:16Speaker 2: there's a some kind of state law.
- 37:18Speaker 3: I remember it as the New York City public school
- 37:20Speaker 3: students sitting there watching TV, weping to see my school's name.
- 37:26Speaker 3: The sad truth is governed by state law which requires
- 37:29Speaker 3: one hundred and eighty days of instruction. And there's no
- 37:33Speaker 3: room anymore in these calendars with all your holidays have
- 37:35Speaker 3: been had in the first snow day, so Monday is
- 37:37Speaker 3: either going to be remote.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's the reason there's a state law. You
- 37:40Speaker 2: can thank the legislature requiring one hundred and eighty days,
- 37:44Speaker 2: so they can't close. They have to have a remote day.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Which it's interesting at private schools, I don't think are
- 37:52Speaker 2: subject good. Many of them are just closed, no remote
- 37:54Speaker 2: day today. So we slowly start to dig out. Actually,
- 37:58Speaker 2: you got to give mom Donnie credit. It was pretty
- 38:00Speaker 2: good the response. But again he's got leftover from the
- 38:05Speaker 2: Adams administration. The emergency management people, the people that do
- 38:09Speaker 2: all this response are left over. The emergency response director,
- 38:13Speaker 2: emergency management head, is leaving in a week, but his
- 38:18Speaker 2: deputy will take over, and he says, don't worry. His
- 38:20Speaker 2: deputy is perfectly qualified and be very good at this.
- 38:24Speaker 2: So we'll see. This probably be the last big snowstorm.
- 38:26Speaker 2: I don't want to jinx it, but we usually get
- 38:28Speaker 2: one of these a year, and you know, this one's
- 38:30Speaker 2: actually not as bad as five years ago. We had
- 38:32Speaker 2: a big one. It was like in this was ten inches.
- 38:36Speaker 2: And see we had a big one was like seventeen
- 38:38Speaker 2: inches in the city. But it was during the towards
- 38:42Speaker 2: the end of the pandemic. Most people were still remote anyway.
- 38:46Speaker 2: So Washington got hit hard with the snowstorm. But they
- 38:51Speaker 2: went ahead with the premiere of the Milania film. There's
- 38:54Speaker 2: a big, big documentary on Millenia Amazon. It'll be in
- 39:00Speaker 2: theaters and then it'll stream on Amazon. They had the
- 39:02Speaker 2: big movie premiere. Normally, in that kind of snowstorm, the
- 39:06Speaker 2: President would get the hell out of there and be
- 39:08Speaker 2: at mar A Lago for the weekend, but he stayed
- 39:10Speaker 2: because of the premiere. And it was Saturday night, big
- 39:13Speaker 2: dinner at the White House at Kennedy Center, the whole thing,
- 39:15Speaker 2: and a lot of people came. Everybody loved it. It's
- 39:19Speaker 2: a great film. But it starts in theaters now. Most
- 39:23Speaker 2: people will wait, probably go see when it's streaming, so
- 39:27Speaker 2: that's opening very soon. Wall Street Journal really brutal on
- 39:31Speaker 2: Donald Trump. The Wall Street Journal has not been on
- 39:36Speaker 2: Trump friendly paper for a while. The Wall Street Journal
- 39:40Speaker 2: not good to the president, but really bad, hitting him
- 39:43Speaker 2: very hard over the weekend for the shooting in Minnesota,
- 39:47Speaker 2: and a lot of people say, you can argue that
- 39:53Speaker 2: the shooting was justified. It's the case of Renee Good.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Definitely justified. Again, if he talked of the best law
- 40:00Speaker 2: enforcement people in the world, they'll say, you know, probably
- 40:03Speaker 2: shouldn't have shot. He's legally justified, and he can, but
- 40:06Speaker 2: he probably should have let that go. If you want,
- 40:08Speaker 2: you catch her, stop her car a block away or something.
- 40:12Speaker 2: But this one yesterday's a real borderline. And we can't
- 40:15Speaker 2: see exactly why they fired. He did have something in
- 40:19Speaker 2: his hand. It turns out it was the cell phone.
- 40:21Speaker 2: But he was armed. And if you're going to confront police,
- 40:25Speaker 2: I don't know why you'd bring a weapon with you,
- 40:28Speaker 2: And I don't know why you'd bring extra magazines. You know,
- 40:31Speaker 2: I know people would carry guns, but extra magazines. I mean,
- 40:35Speaker 2: cops have to do that because god knows what they'll
- 40:37Speaker 2: end up in a gunfight or something. But a citizen
- 40:42Speaker 2: also at that point, he's harassing the ICE agents, and
- 40:44Speaker 2: then as they're trying to detain him, he's resisting. So
- 40:47Speaker 2: he's resisting arrest. He's committing a crime. And even though
- 40:50Speaker 2: you're legally licensed to carry a gun, you can't carry
- 40:53Speaker 2: a gun when you're committing a crime. That's a whole
- 40:55Speaker 2: different set of charges. So this will be investigated. The
- 41:00Speaker 2: Wall Street Journal going after him, James Comer coming out
- 41:03Speaker 2: and going after this. So some people saying he is
- 41:07Speaker 2: losing the narrative on this. You can argue the facts
- 41:09Speaker 2: of the case and that it's not wrong, but he's
- 41:13Speaker 2: losing the narrative and that's the problem. So President Trump
- 41:16Speaker 2: responding by sending Tom Holman to Minnesota. He's on his
- 41:20Speaker 2: way there. He'll be there this afternoon talk to officials.
- 41:23Speaker 2: He's also probably going to sideline Christy Nomes. She's already
- 41:27Speaker 2: been taken out of the loop on this. He announced
- 41:30Speaker 2: last night. Here's his actual words. Holman will report directly
- 41:34Speaker 2: to me now and help lead the Immigration Customs enforcement
- 41:38Speaker 2: operations in Minneapolis. Taking Christy Nome out of the picture.
- 41:43Speaker 2: I'm sending Tom Holman to Minnesota tonight. He's not been
- 41:47Speaker 2: involved in that area, but he knows and likes many
- 41:49Speaker 2: of the people there. Tom is tough, but fair and
- 41:52Speaker 2: will report directly to me. The President also saying separately,
- 41:58Speaker 2: a major investigation is going on with respect to the
- 42:02Speaker 2: massive twenty billion dollar plus welfare fraud that took place
- 42:06Speaker 2: in Minnesota. And he believed a lot of people believe
- 42:11Speaker 2: that's one reason they're gitting up these protests and this
- 42:14Speaker 2: violence to distract from that huge twenty billion dollar fraud.
- 42:18Speaker 2: But the presidents saying the investigation is ongoing, and actually
- 42:23Speaker 2: your Democrats there, it's also distracting from the investigation, which
- 42:27Speaker 2: means you'll be able to get more done under the radar. Additionally,
- 42:32Speaker 2: the President says, the Department of Justice and Congress are
- 42:35Speaker 2: looking at Congresswoman Elon Omar, who was broke when she
- 42:40Speaker 2: took office and is now worth more than forty four
- 42:42Speaker 2: million dollars, and they'll figure out how that happened. So
- 42:47Speaker 2: it's a bad situation in Minnesota. They've got to clean
- 42:50Speaker 2: this up. It's try it's the Democrats are going to
- 42:55Speaker 2: use this. This will be the number one issue Forget affordability.
- 42:59Speaker 2: They're throwing that out. We'll just be this in the
- 43:03Speaker 2: mid terms. Now they're talking about defunding ICE, and they're
- 43:06Speaker 2: talking about doing that as fast as possible. Now, the
- 43:08Speaker 2: problem is ICE is part of the Department of Homeland Security.
- 43:13Speaker 2: I don't know how you could just defund ICE. You'd
- 43:15Speaker 2: have to defund the Department of Homeland Security. But that's
- 43:18Speaker 2: a problem because that also includes a TSA, that also
- 43:22Speaker 2: includes all kinds of things. You can't just defund that.
- 43:26Speaker 2: So Democrats will have a problem, But they'll yell and
- 43:28Speaker 2: scream about that. They'll threaten a shutdown over this and
- 43:33Speaker 2: try to defund it. Then you got all these crazy
- 43:37Speaker 2: Minnesota Democrats trying to rile things up. You got the mayor.
- 43:42Speaker 2: If anybody's to blame for this, it's the mayor and
- 43:44Speaker 2: the governor for literally telling these people, these organized protesters,
- 43:49Speaker 2: telling them to go physically confront ICE, get in their face.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Here's the mayor of Minneapolis.
- 43:55Speaker 16: More than six masked agents pummeling one of our constituents
- 44:02Speaker 16: and shooting him to death. How many more residents, how
- 44:08Speaker 16: many more Americans need to die or get badly hurt
- 44:12Speaker 16: for this operation to end.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Well, it's a good question, but it's like January sixth,
- 44:17Speaker 2: where they kept yelling at the president. Same thing to
- 44:19Speaker 2: you go on TV, tell them to stop, tell them
- 44:23Speaker 2: to go home, tell them to protest peacefully, tell them
- 44:25Speaker 2: to stay across the street, don't go physically confront ice.
- 44:29Speaker 2: But Fry is been trying to fuel this like crazy.
- 44:33Speaker 16: How many more lives need to be lost before this
- 44:37Speaker 16: administration realizes that.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Well, it's a good question. So why don't you tell
- 44:42Speaker 2: the protests stop physically confronting and getting in the face
- 44:45Speaker 2: of law enforcement jumping. It's one thing to protest, but
- 44:47Speaker 2: to actually jump in there and physically try to interfere
- 44:50Speaker 2: with them not the same. This as Waltz, this federal
- 44:53Speaker 2: occupation of Minnesota long ago. Stop being a matter of
- 44:56Speaker 2: immigration enforcement. It's a campaign of organized brutality the people
- 45:00Speaker 2: of our state. But again, he's just trying to rile
- 45:03Speaker 2: people up. You know a couple of things, one the
- 45:07Speaker 2: language telling people to go confront them, telling people to
- 45:11Speaker 2: physically go after the ice, but also totally withdrawing police,
- 45:15Speaker 2: National Guard, all of that. If you had sent the
- 45:17Speaker 2: police in to control the protesters like they do anywhere else.
- 45:21Speaker 2: You keep them behind barricade, you keep them separate from
- 45:24Speaker 2: the ICE office, physically separate. They may yell and scream,
- 45:27Speaker 2: but it's that separation that saves their lives. They've refused
- 45:30Speaker 2: to do that. Now you got two thousand ICE agents
- 45:33Speaker 2: in Minneapolis, and believe it or not, Minneapolis only has
- 45:36Speaker 2: six hundred cops. But again, the governor could send him
- 45:40Speaker 2: the National Guard, all of that stuff just to control
- 45:43Speaker 2: the protests, keep them physically separate from ICE, then you
- 45:47Speaker 2: would not have had any of these problems at all. So,
- 45:52Speaker 2: by the way, articles of impeachment have been filed against
- 45:54Speaker 2: Tim Waltz, governor of Minnesota from a Republican state representative,
- 46:00Speaker 2: but he's got a good case. It looks like a
- 46:02Speaker 2: twenty billion got stolen for that daycare fraud scheme with
- 46:07Speaker 2: the Attorney General in Minnesota either looking the other way
- 46:10Speaker 2: or being so incompetent he didn't see it. And it's
- 46:13Speaker 2: the same thing with the governor. Either he looked the
- 46:16Speaker 2: other way deliberately, or he was part of this twenty
- 46:19Speaker 2: billion dollar fraud, or he's just totally incompetent and didn't
- 46:23Speaker 2: know what was going on. They're going to start looking
- 46:26Speaker 2: at all of this, examining it, and it looks like
- 46:29Speaker 2: there was no control of the money being given out
- 46:32Speaker 2: to these fake daycare centers. It looks like there was
- 46:35Speaker 2: no accounting in any way. It looks like they did nothing,
- 46:39Speaker 2: nothing to check to see if anything any of these
- 46:42Speaker 2: organizations were real. They just handed out the money. Many
- 46:45Speaker 2: people suspect a lot of Democrats benefited, maybe public officials,
- 46:51Speaker 2: maybe people. Or they also think a lot of the
- 46:54Speaker 2: money got a good percentage got kicked back into donations
- 46:58Speaker 2: into campaigns. So that investigation going on, and the impeachment
- 47:03Speaker 2: has been filed against Waltz. We'll see if that goes anywhere.
- 47:07Speaker 2: I remembers telling you about Davos. The Davos is a
- 47:11Speaker 2: you know that conference where you see like literally two
- 47:14Speaker 2: hundred and fifty private jets on the runways. It's not
- 47:17Speaker 2: a fancy place, Davos, and it's kind of a dump.
- 47:19Speaker 2: The hotels are dumpy, but they got a lot of
- 47:21Speaker 2: beautiful chalets around there, and these zillionaires rent all those
- 47:26Speaker 2: chalets and that's where they stayed. But apparently, and I
- 47:29Speaker 2: also told you, remember this is like the biggest thing
- 47:31Speaker 2: of the year, for prostitutes in Europe. Sex workers, it's
- 47:35Speaker 2: like they're Super Bowl Davos. Well here, now that it's over,
- 47:39Speaker 2: we're getting actual statistics. Apparently, the demand for prostitutes in
- 47:43Speaker 2: Davos skyrocketed this year. It was unbelievable. The requests were
- 47:48Speaker 2: up four thousand percent in Davos this year. Particularly high
- 47:52Speaker 2: number of users were from the US, Russia, Ukraine. Yeah,
- 47:57Speaker 2: these Ukrainians, they made a lot of money off this war,
- 48:00Speaker 2: spending it like crazy. They don't want to go into details.
- 48:04Speaker 2: There's you know, these sex worker services. But they said
- 48:08Speaker 2: not only was it up four thousand percent, but there
- 48:11Speaker 2: was one client who allegedly spent one hundred and twenty
- 48:15Speaker 2: thousand dollars. He wanted five women at once for four days.
- 48:19Speaker 2: The bill was one hundred and twenty thousand. But he's
- 48:22Speaker 2: a billionaire, so it's absolutely nothing for him. You know,
- 48:29Speaker 2: your electric rates are going crazy in New York City, Well,
- 48:33Speaker 2: believe it or not. On Thursday, the Public Service Commission
- 48:36Speaker 2: approved Kanid's request for a rate hike. That'll be about
- 48:43Speaker 2: six hundred and fifteen dollars per year more, maybe sixty
- 48:46Speaker 2: dollars a month more for gas and electricity. A rate hike.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Bureaucrats are insisting that law, not politics, is driving the
- 48:54Speaker 2: cost increases. You can blame a lot of people. You
- 48:57Speaker 2: can blame Andrew Cmo for you out of control electric bills.
- 49:01Speaker 2: He shut down our nuclear power plant Indian Point, which
- 49:04Speaker 2: was a big mistake. It was twenty five percent of
- 49:07Speaker 2: our electricity. Nuclear power is the safest, cheapest, easiest, and
- 49:13Speaker 2: Cuomo shut it down. Everybody at the time told him
- 49:17Speaker 2: it's going to drive electric bills way up, and it did.
- 49:21Speaker 2: It absolutely did. You can remember Democrats are not really
- 49:24Speaker 2: the party of affordability because they'll do things like this,
- 49:27Speaker 2: shut down the nuclear plant, not drill for natural gas,
- 49:32Speaker 2: not allow fracking. This drives your electric bill through the roof. Now.
- 49:37Speaker 2: The other thing is, believe it or not, this green
- 49:40Speaker 2: stuff like wind, windmills, wind power, it's very expensive per
- 49:45Speaker 2: kilowot hour to pay for that electricity. It's like four
- 49:48Speaker 2: times as much as fossil fuel. So all this stuff
- 49:52Speaker 2: has caused a huge increase in your electric bills in
- 49:56Speaker 2: Public Service Commission just approved another increase. You got to
- 50:00Speaker 2: clean house in November. You got to get rid of
- 50:02Speaker 2: Kathley Hockel. You got to get rid of a lot
- 50:05Speaker 2: of the legislature. That's the only hope I would tell
- 50:08Speaker 2: you to vote for Bruce Blakeman in November. He's a
- 50:12Speaker 2: common sense He's a governor. He's the county executive west
- 50:17Speaker 2: of Nassau County, county executive in Nassau County, and that's
- 50:21Speaker 2: basically what a county executive is. A governor. He's turned
- 50:24Speaker 2: Nassau County into the most efficient, safest county in America.
- 50:27Speaker 2: So he'll be running. And you got got to get
- 50:29Speaker 2: rid of a lot of this legislature. They're just crazy there,
- 50:32Speaker 2: you know, Mam Donnie comes from the legislature. You got
- 50:36Speaker 2: people like that in the legislature, crazy left wing people.
- 50:40Speaker 2: They'll drive your cost crazy. Whenever you get any of
- 50:43Speaker 2: these very left wing socialists, costs go way up. It
- 50:46Speaker 2: happens all the time. So hey, Bill Maher has been
- 50:51Speaker 2: pretty good here Bill Maher this week talking about Mam Donnie,
- 50:55Speaker 2: about the people he's hired, the things they've tweeted.
- 50:58Speaker 15: It matters that the mayor stands by and so I
- 51:02Speaker 15: assume stands with someone who says things like if you
- 51:06Speaker 15: don't believe in the government's sacred right to seize private property,
- 51:10Speaker 15: it's over seize private property. Home ownership is racist. Elect
- 51:16Speaker 15: more communists. Private property, especially home ownership is a weapon
- 51:21Speaker 15: of white supremacy. Really, even among the twenty million Black
- 51:26Speaker 15: Americans who own their own home.
- 51:31Speaker 2: He has to point at some crazy people.
- 51:33Speaker 15: Democrats seem to be having this debate whether or not
- 51:36Speaker 15: mayor mom Donnie is a socialist or a democratic socialist.
- 51:40Speaker 15: Let me settle it. He's a straight up communist. How
- 51:44Speaker 15: do I know this, Well, I'm reading between the lines
- 51:51Speaker 15: when one of his major advisors says, elect more communists,
- 51:55Speaker 15: which is fine, it's fine.
- 51:58Speaker 2: It's a belief system.
- 51:59Speaker 15: He's allowed to believe it and people are allowed to
- 52:02Speaker 15: vote for it. But if liberals deny it, like he's
- 52:05Speaker 15: just going through a goth phase, they're going to lose
- 52:10Speaker 15: more elections. This is not a communist country.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it's definitely not.
- 52:14Speaker 5: Now.
- 52:14Speaker 2: The only good news is a lot of people think,
- 52:17Speaker 2: Mom don he's not the most courageous guy in the
- 52:19Speaker 2: world that you know. It takes a lot of guts
- 52:21Speaker 2: to go in there and bust up something and try to,
- 52:25Speaker 2: you know, transform me. It takes a lot of courage.
- 52:27Speaker 2: A lot of people don't think he has it, so
- 52:29Speaker 2: and this week has put him to the test managerial wise, snowstorm,
- 52:33Speaker 2: all of that, and he put on that emergency response
- 52:36Speaker 2: jacket and he's out in the field. He was helping
- 52:38Speaker 2: the shovel snow. So who knows, maybe he'll calm down
- 52:41Speaker 2: a little, maybe he'll start to realize what government should
- 52:46Speaker 2: do and shouldn't do. And well, we'll see. Hey, Bruce
- 52:49Speaker 2: Blakeman will be with this a little while. We'll take
- 52:51Speaker 2: some calls. Next eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 52:55Speaker 2: Is the number eight hundred three to two one zero seven.
- 52:58Speaker 6: Tenor comes for common sense?
- 53:02Speaker 5: Mark Simone on sevent ten w o R.
- 53:06Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh Maria
- 53:09Speaker 2: in Terrytown, Maria? How you doing him?
- 53:13Speaker 9: Mark?
- 53:14Speaker 13: Goining to find out is there all gonna be an
- 53:16Speaker 13: investigation of who is paying all these protests?
- 53:20Speaker 2: Yes, it is underway now and they're finding all kinds
- 53:23Speaker 2: of networks in encrypted.
- 53:25Speaker 8: Does what's going right?
- 53:27Speaker 2: Well, it takes a while, but they'll track it down.
- 53:29Speaker 2: They'll track down where the money's coming from. Hey, what's
- 53:33Speaker 2: the snow look like up there in Terrytown?
- 53:35Speaker 14: Can you see I got we almost got a foot
- 53:38Speaker 14: of snow?
- 53:39Speaker 2: But can you look out the window of the road's clear?
- 53:41Speaker 2: Is there traffic out there? Well?
- 53:44Speaker 13: Yeah, just a little town and yeah there do you
- 53:47Speaker 13: see some cars moving around?
- 53:49Speaker 2: All right, that's good. Well, thanks for calling. Let's go
- 53:52Speaker 2: to John and Florida. John, how you doing good money?
- 53:56Speaker 12: Mark about conn Edison coln Edison to raise the rates
- 54:01Speaker 12: by the New York State Power Uthality Connors Wires and
- 54:04Speaker 12: Pipe Company as well as transmitting gres don't you get
- 54:08Speaker 12: a portion of the electrical rate that the customers played
- 54:11Speaker 12: in New York? We don't generate electricity nor more. We
- 54:14Speaker 12: just transmitted. We have a couple of spots substations in
- 54:18Speaker 12: Hudson over an a story up in Ravenswood. But good bye,
- 54:22Speaker 12: stood back to stand by in case something goes wrong
- 54:25Speaker 12: upstate or in Pennsylvania.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Now all right, well thanks for the information. Yeah, but again,
- 54:29Speaker 2: Andrew CMO shutting down our nuclear plant that cost us
- 54:34Speaker 2: twenty five percent of our electricity, driving the cost up
- 54:37Speaker 2: like crazy. You got Hochel and all the rest, and
- 54:39Speaker 2: refuse to do fracking. If you just allowed fracking, your
- 54:42Speaker 2: electric bill would really drop. But Democrats are not big unaffordability.
- 54:47Speaker 2: Let's go to Jim in Michigan, Jim, how you doing.
- 54:51Speaker 12: Hey, Mark?
- 54:52Speaker 11: With the people in Greenland see the sheriff in Philadelphia,
- 54:55Speaker 11: I could see them getting a little bit nervous. And
- 54:57Speaker 11: I don't know why. You people up in the Northeast
- 55:00Speaker 11: a little snow and you people start, you know, people
- 55:03Speaker 11: act like you never saw snow before.
- 55:05Speaker 2: Yeah, well it's fun.
- 55:08Speaker 10: You know.
- 55:08Speaker 2: The problem is we haven't had We've had a couple
- 55:10Speaker 2: winners of very little snow. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 55:13Speaker 2: how you doing, Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 55:17Speaker 4: I'd like to have the Biagra concession in Davos.
- 55:20Speaker 10: I can tell you that.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Well, what did great Guttfeld call it? The uh, the
- 55:27Speaker 2: cola cella of the sialis version of cola cello.
- 55:32Speaker 4: That's a good one too. You know, I wanted to
- 55:34Speaker 4: point out this, this thing that's going on in Minnesota
- 55:37Speaker 4: is a classic example of how the Democrats and Republicans
- 55:41Speaker 4: approach the same story, and one wins and one loses.
- 55:44Speaker 4: You know, Republicans institute this policy. The Democrats got crazy.
- 55:49Speaker 4: They accused the Republicans of creating havoc and chaos. Then
- 55:54Speaker 4: no Democrat equivocates, no Democrat will come out and say, well,
- 55:57Speaker 4: we should rethink it. But every Republican, no matter where
- 56:00Speaker 4: they are, we'll start to clutch their pearls. Oh maybe this,
- 56:05Speaker 4: Maybe we should do this, Maybe we should back down,
- 56:07Speaker 4: Maybe we should say this way, maybe we should message
- 56:09Speaker 4: it that way. It doesn't work. Every time they do it.
- 56:13Speaker 4: The Democrats take it as a gang and a victory.
- 56:15Speaker 4: It doesn't matter if it's an inch or.
- 56:17Speaker 2: A mile y. That's true. Well, listen, the real problem
- 56:21Speaker 2: is you got to public officials in Minnesota ginning this up,
- 56:24Speaker 2: telling the crowd to literally go physically confront Ice interfere
- 56:28Speaker 2: with their operations. That's just a recipe for total disaster.
- 56:32Speaker 2: As we've seen, any responsible official would be on television
- 56:36Speaker 2: telling them back off. If you want to protest, stay
- 56:39Speaker 2: across the street, and any responsible public officials will have
- 56:43Speaker 2: police there to make sure the protesters are separate from
- 56:47Speaker 2: Ice and not physically contacting them or being that aggressive.
- 56:51Speaker 2: Let's go to Ann in Connecticut and how you Doinghi good?
- 56:56Speaker 5: How are you good?
- 56:56Speaker 2: Where are you in Connecticut?
- 56:58Speaker 11: I'm Minniset Campton, East Hampton.
- 57:01Speaker 13: Not twenty miles north. Yeah, it' about twenty miles north
- 57:04Speaker 13: of Old favorok.
- 57:05Speaker 2: Oh, and you got fifteen inches?
- 57:08Speaker 13: Yeah about that pilot twelve somewhere around there. I like
- 57:13Speaker 13: to comment to make about what the mayor I'm saying,
- 57:17Speaker 13: and then sang how many more lives is it going
- 57:20Speaker 13: to take? And I'm thinking, well, if you help us
- 57:22Speaker 13: catch the people that are killing Americans, the illegal immigrants,
- 57:26Speaker 13: how many lives has Americans lost?
- 57:28Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 57:28Speaker 2: Well that's that's the other point. If renee Good had
- 57:31Speaker 2: been killed by any illegal alien, you think you'd have
- 57:34Speaker 2: ever heard about it? You think it would ever be
- 57:35Speaker 2: in the news. I don't think. So let's go to
- 57:38Speaker 2: Rich and Myrtle Beach. Rich, how you doing?
- 57:41Speaker 11: Hey? Thanks Mark. We're getting screwed down here with our electricity.
- 57:44Speaker 11: They instituted a peak hours now where in the winter
- 57:48Speaker 11: time at six to nine am, and in the summertime
- 57:50Speaker 11: it's three to six pm. So they bang you for
- 57:52Speaker 11: eight bucks just to having your refrigerator on during that time,
- 57:55Speaker 11: even if you don't raise the heat or anything. Then
- 57:57Speaker 11: I find out that our paddle company, Ory County is
- 58:01Speaker 11: owned by the state and doesn't have to answer to
- 58:03Speaker 11: a utility board or a complaints department, so they run
- 58:07Speaker 11: of the total monopoly down here might winter bill for
- 58:10Speaker 11: January or February. The last couple of years would have
- 58:12Speaker 11: been ninety nine two hundred dollars. Now it's one hundred
- 58:15Speaker 11: and forty eight to one hundred and sixty three dollars.
- 58:17Speaker 11: And I can't get any politician down here to do anything.
- 58:20Speaker 11: And they raise the rates based on this board that's
- 58:23Speaker 11: overrunning this power company, which is appointed by the governor.
- 58:26Speaker 11: And this is a Republican state. We're getting screwed big
- 58:28Speaker 11: time now.
- 58:29Speaker 2: So this myth about moving to South Carolina, North Carolina,
- 58:32Speaker 2: you'll save a fortune, not one hundred percent true.
- 58:34Speaker 11: Right, Well, here's another one. Because we were getting gas
- 58:37Speaker 11: at the pump at two twenty two last week also
- 58:40Speaker 11: now jumped to two sixty nine and two sixty three.
- 58:43Speaker 11: And sometimes I'll see two stations right next to each other.
- 58:45Speaker 11: One one is two twenty nine, the other one's two
- 58:48Speaker 11: fifty nine. I don't know what the hell's going on
- 58:50Speaker 11: here in this country, because all of a sudden, you
- 58:51Speaker 11: went from two twenty five cents gas to two dollarsand
- 58:56Speaker 11: sixty three overnight. And has it come down yet?
- 58:58Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, it's a lot of low you know, gases
- 59:01Speaker 2: two fifty all of America here in New York. Three
- 59:03Speaker 2: fifty four bucks. That's all state, local nonsense, taxes, fees,
- 59:07Speaker 2: all kinds of Hey, when we come back to the
- 59:08Speaker 2: best county executive in America and the man who should
- 59:11Speaker 2: be and I think we'll be the next governor of
- 59:13Speaker 2: New York. Bruce Blakeman. Will talk to him next on
- 59:16Speaker 2: seven to ten.
- 59:17Speaker 1: WR set up bruceaid on the iHeart Radio app to
- 59:20Speaker 1: do wor to hear Mark Live? Set another for Mark's
- 59:24Speaker 1: podcast to hear him anytime? Now back to Mark Simone
- 59:29Speaker 1: on wor.
- 59:32Speaker 2: Well, Bruce Blakeman the best county executive in America. That's
- 59:36Speaker 2: basically the it's being a governor of a county. That's
- 59:38Speaker 2: what it is. And it's a phenomenal governor. He should
- 59:41Speaker 2: be the governor in November. He should vote for him
- 59:44Speaker 2: in November. He'd be excellent as our governor in New
- 59:47Speaker 2: York State. But he's on the line now, Bruce Blakeman,
- 59:50Speaker 2: how you doing doing good?
- 59:52Speaker 11: Mark?
- 59:53Speaker 8: It's an honor to be on the radio again with you.
- 59:56Speaker 8: You're a good friend and I really appreciate it. You
- 59:58Speaker 8: took the time out to come to my inauguration.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that was quite an inauguration, a lot of a
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: lot of people there and you got a standing ovation.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: That was a powerful speech, and tell us about Nasau County.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: Give us an update. How does it look right now?
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: Yeah, So basically, we had all our trucks out twenty
- 1:00:20Speaker 8: four hours pretty much. Because of the frigid weather before
- 1:00:26Speaker 8: this storm and continuing on this week, it has made
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: it a little more problematic. We cleared all the roads
- 1:00:32Speaker 8: yesterday and we went through them again today. They're all clear.
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: But I do want to stress that because of the
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: frigid weather, the salt doesn't work as well as it
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: would if it was above twenty degrees. Right now, we're
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: in the teens. We've been in single digits. So for
- 1:00:51Speaker 8: the rest of the week, it's going to be very
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: frigid and the salt won't work as well as it
- 1:00:56Speaker 8: would if it got a little warmer. So it's going
- 1:00:59Speaker 8: to take a while. Everybody's got to go a little slower.
- 1:01:02Speaker 8: Plan ahead, take your time and realize that there could
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: be black eyes on the roadways and on the sidewalks.
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: Just take it easy. And by the way, we've had
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: three fatalities from shoveling this weekend. And look if you're
- 1:01:17Speaker 8: not fit, if you're not young, don't do it. Either
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: have a neighbor help you, or pay somebody to do it.
- 1:01:24Speaker 8: But if you're not in shape to shovel, don't do it.
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: Because this is very heavy snow because we also got
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: on top of the snow fleet and frozen rains, so
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: it's probably three to four times as heavy as it
- 1:01:37Speaker 8: would be if it was just snow.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Wow. Hey, so I didn't realize the salt doesn't work
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: at that kind of a low temperature. So what do
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: you do? You sand instead?
- 1:01:46Speaker 8: No, No, it works, but not as well. The colder
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: it gets, the less it works. So a typical storm
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: mark is followed by warmer weather. That's just what meteorologists
- 1:01:58Speaker 8: have told us. This is a very unique storm because
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: of the storm came in through Canada and it didn't
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: go south first. It was on a different a different windscreen,
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: So basically we got just frigid, cold air from Canada
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: that came in and it wasn't followed by warmer weather. Actually,
- 1:02:20Speaker 8: it's going to get colder. It's going to get the
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: single digits, So the the salt works best when it's
- 1:02:28Speaker 8: over twenty degrees. It has diminishing returns as it gets colder,
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: So when it's in the teens, it's less effective. When
- 1:02:35Speaker 8: it's single digits, it's less effective, so resulting, but again
- 1:02:41Speaker 8: it's not going to have the same effect it would
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: usually have, which makes the pavement dry and makes it
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: much safer.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: Well, we'll talk with Bruce Blakeman, best county executive in America. Now,
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: what else in Nasau County? Schools are open or will open?
- 1:02:54Speaker 8: No schools are closed, but we anticipate that they'll be
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: open tomorrow. But that's up to each school district to
- 1:03:01Speaker 8: make a determination as to whether or not it's safe
- 1:03:04Speaker 8: to open their schools. Our buses are back on schedule. However,
- 1:03:09Speaker 8: they're running a little late, about fifteen minutes behind because
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: of the snow and the ice. And the Long Island
- 1:03:17Speaker 8: Railroad is on a weekend schedule, so rather than have
- 1:03:21Speaker 8: a train like every fifteen or twenty minutes or thirty minutes,
- 1:03:25Speaker 8: depending on where your station is at, it'll probably be
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: every train a train every hour, So it'll be a
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: weekend schedule. Plan ahead. And our warming centers are still
- 1:03:37Speaker 8: in use. We've got about forty people in them right now.
- 1:03:40Speaker 8: We're feeding them hot meals we're giving them a safe
- 1:03:43Speaker 8: and clean environment and a warm environment. So if anybody
- 1:03:47Speaker 8: has any questions, go to Nassau County and White dot gov.
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: We have all the information up there should you need
- 1:03:53Speaker 8: any additional services, our power outages or down mark. But
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: we do think that there's going to be an increase
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: because as the branches form more and more ice, they
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: get heavier, they break, they fall on the power lines,
- 1:04:07Speaker 8: So we're anticipating that. And finally, pay attention to the
- 1:04:12Speaker 8: pipes in your house and your business. It's going to
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: get very, very cold. Make sure they're insulated and that
- 1:04:19Speaker 8: the heat is on in your basement and areas where
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: it could get very cold, because we don't want pipes
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: to burst. That creates real problems for our businesses and homeowners.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, and Bruce Blakeman is running for governor and
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: you should support him. And if you want to help,
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: donate or work on the campaign, go to Blakemanfromnew York
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: dot com. Blakemanfronewyork dot com. Kathy Hook have been yelling
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: and screaming about ice. Now, as account exective, you must
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: have had a deal with ice, right, I have the.
- 1:04:49Speaker 8: Most comprehensive agreement with ICE in the United States. As
- 1:04:52Speaker 8: a matter of fact, both my Sheriff's department my police
- 1:04:55Speaker 8: department are working extensively with ICE. Mark Just last month,
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: we removed forty six illegal migrants with criminal records. Twenty
- 1:05:06Speaker 8: seven of them were engaged in gang activity. So I
- 1:05:10Speaker 8: don't know what Kathy Hochel's doing. She's spending billions and
- 1:05:13Speaker 8: billions of dollars on illegal migrants who've been here for
- 1:05:16Speaker 8: fifteen minutes. They haven't earned this thing. They're getting free housing,
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: free transportation, free food, free cell phone, and now they're
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: going to get free childcare. I mean, it's just wrongheaded.
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: It's a burden to the taxpayers. If you want to
- 1:05:31Speaker 8: make New York more affordable, you got to cut the
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: taxes because our taxes are the highest in the nation.
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: Now she's spending them on illegal migrants. We're working together
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: with ICE. She's fighting against ICE. I want to make
- 1:05:45Speaker 8: our community safer. She's pro criminal cash list bail, fighting
- 1:05:49Speaker 8: with ICE, raise the age. She's never met a criminal
- 1:05:52Speaker 8: she didn't like.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: Hey, Florida has a bigger population than we do. It's
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: a bigger state than New York. Believe in, and our
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: budget is out of Florida. In New York State, why
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: is that.
- 1:06:04Speaker 8: Because it's out of control. We've had one party rule
- 1:06:07Speaker 8: with the State Assembly, of the state Senate, and the
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: Governor's office all held by Democrats, all far left leaning.
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: They enact policies that don't work for the hard working
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: families of New York State. They make it more expensive
- 1:06:23Speaker 8: to live here. They chase businesses out of the state
- 1:06:26Speaker 8: by over taxation, over regulation. I want to create job prosperity.
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: I want people to get good jobs with high wages
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: and high benefits. That's how you make it more affordable,
- 1:06:38Speaker 8: put more money in people's pockets. Basically, Kathy Hochel, all
- 1:06:41Speaker 8: she's doing is taking money out of everybody else's pockets.
- 1:06:45Speaker 8: And you know how I knew it was so called
- 1:06:47Speaker 8: out mark. Kathy Hokeel had her hand in her own
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: pockets history.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: So she's got a lot of money. I think she's
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: raised about thirty two million, But she seems quite worried
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: about you. She's all with a place, trying to be
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: a very left wing kooka right wing koot. So don't
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: think she has much chance in a debate against you,
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: Am I right?
- 1:07:08Speaker 8: Well, I'm looking forward to it. I would debate her
- 1:07:11Speaker 8: every week if she would do it. She runs away
- 1:07:14Speaker 8: from her record. I'm going to run on my record.
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: I've got the safest county America. I haven't raised taxes
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: one penny in four years. People are genuinely happy here.
- 1:07:24Speaker 8: We have the lowest poverty rate in the state. The
- 1:07:28Speaker 8: poverty rate in New York State is fifteen percent. It's
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: three times what ours is in Nassau County. You know
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: that's not right. I want to give these people who
- 1:07:36Speaker 8: are living under the poverty level the ability to make
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: more money and to be able to have a better
- 1:07:42Speaker 8: life for their families. And people aren't happy here in
- 1:07:45Speaker 8: New York. They're miserable. Under Kathy Hockel. I want to
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: make them happy again by putting New Yorkers first and
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: having a governor that actually cares about their families.
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, let's get back to ICE for a second.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: You've had ICE all over Nasau County operating and very smoothly,
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: no problem. And again, how do you do that just
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: by cooperating?
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: Yeah, we have the most comprehensive agreement with ICE. We
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: dedicated fifty jail cells to ICE with our Sheriff's department.
- 1:08:12Speaker 8: We have ten detectives in our police department that are
- 1:08:15Speaker 8: cross designated with ICE to assist ICE. It's worked incredibly well.
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: You got a minute, Can I tell you christ story?
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: Yeah, this all sounds pretty logical, Okay.
- 1:08:25Speaker 8: So let me tell you a story. Last month, we
- 1:08:28Speaker 8: had a larceny here in Nassau County. Through good police work,
- 1:08:33Speaker 8: we put out bulletins not only the federal, state and
- 1:08:36Speaker 8: local law enforcement partners, but international of a guy who
- 1:08:40Speaker 8: he robbed a jewelry store, took a twelve thousand dollars
- 1:08:45Speaker 8: diamond bracelet. And basically what we did was we put
- 1:08:49Speaker 8: out this alert. The UK Scotland yard recognized this guy.
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: They had an international warrant out for his arrest, as
- 1:08:58Speaker 8: did other countries. The guy I was Romanian, he had
- 1:09:01Speaker 8: an Irish passport. He was in the country illegally. He
- 1:09:05Speaker 8: came through Mexico, up through Arizona and made his way
- 1:09:08Speaker 8: to New York. Would good police work, our Nassau County
- 1:09:12Speaker 8: Police Department arrested him and under Kathy Hopeless Kathy Hochel's
- 1:09:18Speaker 8: castless bail, we would have had to release him back
- 1:09:22Speaker 8: into the public. He wouldn't spend one day in jail,
- 1:09:25Speaker 8: but we had ice pick them up, pick him up
- 1:09:28Speaker 8: and get him out of our out of our stake,
- 1:09:30Speaker 8: get him out of the country and make us safe.
- 1:09:33Speaker 8: But here's the crazy thing. He had a New York
- 1:09:37Speaker 8: State valid driver's license. How the heck did that happen?
- 1:09:41Speaker 8: If they had done a background check or fininger printed
- 1:09:44Speaker 8: this guy, they would have found out that he had
- 1:09:46Speaker 8: warrants out in countries all over the world. He was
- 1:09:49Speaker 8: part of a an international criminal theft ring. And that's
- 1:09:54Speaker 8: how crazy we are. We're giving we're giving out driver's
- 1:09:57Speaker 8: license to legal migrants who are here. They're here legally,
- 1:10:00Speaker 8: and they have a criminal record, and we're giving them
- 1:10:03Speaker 8: a driver's license. Just insane.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Well, now this is horrifying a lot of people and say, well,
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: what can we do about this? Well, I would say
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: vote for Bruce Blakeman for governor in November and bring
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: this kind of common sense, good government to what's the
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: website Blakeman from New York dot com.
- 1:10:19Speaker 8: Right, yes, Blakeman from New York dot com. Please visit
- 1:10:23Speaker 8: my website. We'd love to have your support. We want
- 1:10:27Speaker 8: to make New Yorkers happy again by instituting common sense principles,
- 1:10:32Speaker 8: the same values that we grew up with that our parents,
- 1:10:35Speaker 8: grandparents and great grandparents taught us well.
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman, I hope you'll win this from on November.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: You'd be a great governor. And everybody go to Blakemanfromnewyork
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: dot com. Donate to volunteer whatever you can do to
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: help well, keep up the good work in Nasau County.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: We'll talk again soon.
- 1:10:50Speaker 8: It's always a pleasure. Mark, God bless you, Stay warm,
- 1:10:53Speaker 8: stay safe, all.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: Right, thanks for being with us. Take care. That's Bruce Blakeman,
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: County Executive. You're basically the governor. You're the governor of
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: the county. And that's the good thing. He's got experience
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: as a governor and in Nasau County, safest county in
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: America right now. And that stuff about ice makes so
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: much sense. It's so easy to do. And you've never
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: heard about a problem with ice in the Nassau County.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: Just cooperate, work with them, help them. It gets done easily, calmly, safely. Hey.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: Coming up at noon today, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: and then the most listened to radio show in America,
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: Sean Hannity at three, you got Jesse Kelly at six o'clock,
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: and we now have Jimmy Fayla every night nine to midnight.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: It's a great show. I mean, it's an interesting informative
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: it's also very funny. President Trump has become a big
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayla fan. He's been listening and watching and tweeting
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: out about the show. But listen to it tonight at
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: nine on seven to ten wor.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: This is seven to ten wors Mark moonshow.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: Well? Hey, is this story that came out over the
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: weekend about Ted Cruz bad mouthing Donald Trump, attacking Donald Trump.
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: And the story is that it was at a there's
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: a recording of it. It was when he was at
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: a meeting, private meeting with donors, speaking to donors, and
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: it sounded pretty bad. But the more we look into this,
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: the more doubt about this story even being real. It's
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: a Trump hating reporter who's reporting this, and nobody's heard
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: the audio. It's her claiming she heard the audio and
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: that's what she's heard, but there is no audio anywhere
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: of this. And if this were really the case, you
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: think that would turn up, but it hasn't. So put
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: a big question Mark on that story. So, hey, Vice
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: President Vance this weekend talking about Minneapolis saying it's engineered chaos. Well,
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: that's a good way to put it. Engineered chaos because
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: you know Democrats love to use rioting, They love to
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: weaponize rioters protesters. You remember the summer of twenty twenty
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: when they had riots all over the street. Minnesota was
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: the worst. That's where they had that autonomous zone where
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: they took over a section of the city. Riots all
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: over twenty twenty. And when it comes to January sixth,
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: where a massive amount of protesters were coming to the
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: capitol and they were offered twenty thousand National Guard or
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: at some reports ten thousand National guards if they turned
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: it down Pelosi who later admitted on a video she
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: turned it down, and the DC mayor if you got
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: ten thousand protesters, actually they had four hundred thousand protesters coming,
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: and you try to defend the building just with the
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: building security guards, the Capitol Hill police, it's not going
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: to work. So they do engineer chaos sometimes Democrats, and
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: the same thing in Minnesota. You just heard Bruce Blakeman,
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: County Executive Nasau County said with ice, they just cooperate,
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: they give vice whatever they need. They you know, orderly safe,
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: let them do their job. But in Minnesota you got
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: a mayor and a governor telling the rioters the protesters
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: get in their face, interfere, try to stop them. This
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: is only going to lead to trouble. And I think
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: we just saw that this weekend. Hey, we're out of time,
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: don't go away. Stay tuned for Buck and Clay. That's
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: an excellent show every day right after the news at noon.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: I'm here every day ten to noon. Or if you
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: can't listen ten to noon, you can listen anytime you want.
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: Just get the podcast any place you get podcasts. So
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: thanks for everything. Talk to you tomorrow on seven to
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: ten WI
