- 0:02Speaker 1: This is a Bramble Jam podcast. Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark,
- 0:23Speaker 1: a Hallmark review podcast. I'm Megan and I'm a longtime
- 0:26Speaker 1: Hallmark fan. I'm Wendy. I'm a former Hallmark hater. Today
- 0:30Speaker 1: we are launching a new recurring segment on Girls Gone
- 0:32Speaker 1: Hallmark called Hallmark Headlines. We're going to run down information
- 0:36Speaker 1: and news that we have heard dropped from the Hallmark universe.
- 0:41Speaker 1: And there's a lot happening right now, and rather than
- 0:47Speaker 1: shove it in at the beginning of an episode, we
- 0:48Speaker 1: wanted to dedicate its own time. But first, make sure
- 0:52Speaker 1: you're following us on Instagram where we are Girls Gone Hallmark.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Never miss an episode, never miss an announcement, Keep up
- 0:57Speaker 1: with latest Hallmark news from us over there, and jump
- 1:01Speaker 1: into our Girls Gone Hallmark Facebook group. Easy to find
- 1:05Speaker 1: Girls Gone Hallmark in Facebook groups. If we've said it once,
- 1:09Speaker 1: we've said it a thousand times. We adore your feedback.
- 1:12Speaker 1: The best way to send that to us is via email,
- 1:15Speaker 1: Girls Gone Hamewark at gmail dot com. We're constantly compiling
- 1:18Speaker 1: your messages for upcoming episodes of our listener mail bag segments,
- 1:24Speaker 1: which are so much fun. So email us and you
- 1:27Speaker 1: just might hear your email. Red and guys, I'm trying
- 1:29Speaker 1: to push for our phone number because I think it'd
- 1:31Speaker 1: be is so fun to play. She says push as
- 1:35Speaker 1: if there's any push back. It's just a matter of
- 1:37Speaker 1: one of us setting it up. I know we got
- 1:39Speaker 1: a lot of stuff going on. I'm writing it down.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Add it to the boys number. I mean, it would
- 1:46Speaker 1: be so fun if Francisco called in and left us
- 1:49Speaker 1: a message, or Michelle called in and left us a message,
- 1:53Speaker 1: or Er is the Queen of the voice No so
- 1:56Speaker 1: know that she would be all over that. We would
- 1:59Speaker 1: love to play those on future episodes. That's so fun,
- 2:02Speaker 1: look forward to that, can't wait, can't wait. So this
- 2:06Speaker 1: episode is full of things to look forward to or not,
- 2:08Speaker 1: depending on your opinion. Wanted to start with something we
- 2:11Speaker 1: previously discussed, but I feel like if we're doing a
- 2:14Speaker 1: run down the headlines, it has to be mentioned mm hm.
- 2:17Speaker 1: And that is the announcement that Holiday Touchdown is becoming
- 2:20Speaker 1: a franchise with the newly announced Holiday Touchdown A Bill's
- 2:23Speaker 1: Love Story. If you want all of our deep thoughts
- 2:28Speaker 1: on that, please go back to Listener or Mailbag episode
- 2:30Speaker 1: number two, because we get into it we definitely get
- 2:35Speaker 1: into it, and that's a really funny episode. It's so
- 2:39Speaker 1: good if we do say so ourselves. And guys, I
- 2:43Speaker 1: promise I'm not starting in a basketball podcast, so much
- 2:46Speaker 1: feedback saying you should. Though. Do we want to talk
- 2:50Speaker 1: about the WNBA Draft? No, no, anyone. I don't know
- 2:53Speaker 1: anything about it. I sent Wendy a text this morning
- 2:56Speaker 1: because I was scrolling TikTok and I got a TikTok
- 2:59Speaker 1: video something having to do with the draft or the
- 3:01Speaker 1: portal I don't even know, and I was like, whoap
- 3:03Speaker 1: wrong algorithm? So funny. And then there was three more
- 3:08Speaker 1: videos about that same person. Probably I copied the link
- 3:12Speaker 1: and they're like, she likes this, Sadna Prince, that's who that. Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I don't want to just problematic. Yeah, yes, guys, And
- 3:21Speaker 1: you guys want to talk about it, email me. I'm
- 3:23Speaker 1: telling you. I'm telling you it would be so fun.
- 3:26Speaker 1: All right. So, in no particular order, we're going to
- 3:30Speaker 1: run down some announcements at Hallmark has made. People were
- 3:35Speaker 1: very excited that Mistletoe Murder season two is coming. I mean,
- 3:41Speaker 1: it's a no brainer, right, I feel like, did they
- 3:44Speaker 1: just officially announce this? Well, they're already filming. I think
- 3:49Speaker 1: they had announced it earlier. This wasn't part of the
- 3:51Speaker 1: most recent round of announcements, but another thing they announced
- 3:54Speaker 1: in relation to this. So like way back in December,
- 3:58Speaker 1: we learned that Finding Mister Chris was renewed for season two,
- 4:01Speaker 1: and we had hoped with that announcement that that meant
- 4:04Speaker 1: that they were going to air Finding Mister Christmas season
- 4:07Speaker 1: one on linear. So what we should say is every
- 4:10Speaker 1: single one of these announcements is programming coming to linear.
- 4:15Speaker 1: It looks like Hallmark Plus is simply going to be
- 4:19Speaker 1: a Hallmark Movies Now. Yes, but done well Because Hallmark
- 4:23Speaker 1: Movies Now never had all of the Hallmark content. Hallmark
- 4:27Speaker 1: really resisted just being a streamer for their linear content.
- 4:33Speaker 1: They didn't want to do that, and I'm sure there
- 4:35Speaker 1: was a business decision behind it that we don't understand.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Hallmark Movies Now was always a collection of older movies.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Maybe the next year you would get Christmas movies. It
- 4:46Speaker 1: wasn't everything next day. Finally, now what we're getting Hallmark
- 4:52Speaker 1: Movies Now is next day streaming of Hallmark linear programming
- 4:57Speaker 1: plus a huge back catalog of movies and series. Yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and I do like the way they organize it. And look, guys,
- 5:04Speaker 1: this is not like a promotion for Hallmark Plus, but
- 5:07Speaker 1: I do like the way they organize it, and it
- 5:08Speaker 1: does get updated, like you know your favorite rom com
- 5:12Speaker 1: or your West Brown movies or your whatever. Right, Yeah,
- 5:16Speaker 1: I do like that a lot. I'm still gonna say
- 5:20Speaker 1: Hallmark Plus is technical. Back end is the worst. Yeah.
- 5:26Speaker 1: You cannot fast forward or rewind or you go back
- 5:29Speaker 1: to the beginning the only way, I will say, the
- 5:32Speaker 1: only way that I've figured out how to do it.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Do you ever use the Do you use Apple TV?
- 5:37Speaker 1: I have Apple TV? Well, if you use the Apple
- 5:42Speaker 1: TV remote on your phone, you're able to like use
- 5:47Speaker 1: the slider to fast forward or oh, or you can
- 5:51Speaker 1: like tap forward or backwards by ten seconds. But I'm
- 5:53Speaker 1: not able to do that on my standard remote. Interesting,
- 5:57Speaker 1: so if I miss if I miss a line, or
- 6:00Speaker 1: I'm like, wait, what happened there, then I do like
- 6:02Speaker 1: the boo boo boo boo boo boo back a few
- 6:04Speaker 1: seconds hot. Ted, Okay, I have some questions for you. Yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 1: speaking of Hallmark Plus and this announcement that all of
- 6:15Speaker 1: the original programming on Hallmark Plus is going to now
- 6:22Speaker 1: air on Hallmark Channel. So we have Finding Mister Christmas
- 6:27Speaker 1: is likely going to do that. There has been announced
- 6:31Speaker 1: they're going to do it. Okay, so Mistletoe Murders as well, Yes,
- 6:35Speaker 1: Chicken Sister season two, Yes, Yes, and some other stuff
- 6:42Speaker 1: they announced that we're going to get to later in
- 6:44Speaker 1: this episode. But but I am fearful about Hallmark's holiday
- 6:52Speaker 1: schedule because with an episodic show like Mistletoe Murders and
- 7:00Speaker 1: Finding Mister Christmas, when are they going to air those? Okay,
- 7:05Speaker 1: linear when are we talking weekdays? That is a great question.
- 7:09Speaker 1: I am very worried about the holiday programming schedule from
- 7:12Speaker 1: a homework content creator standpoint, because it feels like feast
- 7:16Speaker 1: or famine. If you look at the May schedule, there's
- 7:18Speaker 1: hardly anything. We can run down the May schedule in
- 7:21Speaker 1: a little bit on this episode, like it's a lot
- 7:24Speaker 1: of re airs stuff from Hallmark plus Yeah, but then
- 7:27Speaker 1: you look forward to October and I'm like, Okay, we
- 7:30Speaker 1: have multiple series coming in Hallmark. We have Mistletoe Murder
- 7:34Speaker 1: season two. We assume Finding Mister Christmas season two will
- 7:38Speaker 1: be a holiday time show. The Chicken Sisters maybe that
- 7:44Speaker 1: will start in the fall, And like bleed over a
- 7:47Speaker 1: little bit. I don't know what the drop dates are
- 7:51Speaker 1: going to look like. There. I'm worried. I'm worried. This
- 7:55Speaker 1: article from Business Wire says viewers will have acts to
- 8:00Speaker 1: over four thousand hours of holiday content this season. We
- 8:06Speaker 1: are not going to survive. I barely survived last season.
- 8:10Speaker 1: How what are we going to do? I am not
- 8:15Speaker 1: ready to tackle that question. It's the number one reason
- 8:19Speaker 1: why we didn't do Missiletoe Murders season one. We simply
- 8:23Speaker 1: did not have the time. At that time, they were
- 8:26Speaker 1: releasing all that all the new stuff on Thursday nights
- 8:29Speaker 1: or Thursdays on Hallmark Plus, and then we would have Friday,
- 8:32Speaker 1: Saturday Sunday movies. There was not enough time. Yeah, we're gonna,
- 8:37Speaker 1: I mean, inside Baseball, you and I are going to
- 8:41Speaker 1: sit down and figure out what we're doing during the
- 8:43Speaker 1: season and what if anything we do as like January,
- 8:47Speaker 1: Like do we need to take one of these series
- 8:50Speaker 1: and make it a January run? Right? Do we do
- 8:53Speaker 1: what we're doing with Missiletoe Murders this summer and make
- 8:56Speaker 1: it a summer series. We'll have to figure that all
- 8:59Speaker 1: of that out. But there are a number of series coming.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I have a hot take. So it has been announced
- 9:06Speaker 1: Mistletal Murder Season one and Finding Mister Christmas Season one
- 9:09Speaker 1: are both going to air on Linear. I personally think
- 9:13Speaker 1: those should air in the summer. That should be Christmas
- 9:14Speaker 1: in July airing it feels like a no brainer to me.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Drop those weekly in the summer. But I also think
- 9:23Speaker 1: that Finding Mister Christmas in this will never happen. I
- 9:26Speaker 1: think it should be a summer series going forward, and
- 9:30Speaker 1: I don't know how to do it. Well, Christmas in
- 9:34Speaker 1: July they drop like one or two original movies, plus
- 9:37Speaker 1: they drop like a huge backlog slate of Christmas movies.
- 9:41Speaker 1: I think with so many series coming, they may be
- 9:46Speaker 1: oversaturating the holiday season. No, they have access to data
- 9:50Speaker 1: that I don't have access to. But I think putting
- 9:53Speaker 1: one of those series in the summer, and I don't
- 9:56Speaker 1: know how you do it unless you because in my mind,
- 9:58Speaker 1: Finding Mister Christmas Season one should be Christmas in July,
- 10:01Speaker 1: but maybe they run it a little early. I don't know.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I don't know. I just think it would be fun
- 10:05Speaker 1: to see it in the summer. I can understand the
- 10:07Speaker 1: argument against it because they want the mystery over the
- 10:11Speaker 1: winner and who's gonna start in the movie, and they
- 10:12Speaker 1: want that to drop right before the movie and it
- 10:15Speaker 1: makes it a fun promo that last week before the movie.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I get all of that. I'm just thinking, like share
- 10:20Speaker 1: the love. Well, Uh, here's another question for you. Maybe
- 10:29Speaker 1: it's not a question. Maybe they're gonna make less Christmas
- 10:33Speaker 1: movies this year. Maybe maybe maybe they don't premiere a
- 10:39Speaker 1: new movie on Sundays, And then that's where they're gonna
- 10:42Speaker 1: throw one of these series at because, like you said,
- 10:47Speaker 1: not only do we have episodic series coming Mistletoe to
- 10:54Speaker 1: Finding Mister Christmas, but there is also the upcoming limited
- 10:58Speaker 1: series The Twelve Days of Christmas, which is aest title
- 11:02Speaker 1: with May Whitman. Where the hell is that going to be? Ripple?
- 11:06Speaker 1: That's been talked about forever and ever and ever? Where's
- 11:09Speaker 1: that landing? Is it landing anywhere? It was supposed to
- 11:13Speaker 1: be a Hallmark Plus, I don't know anything about it,
- 11:16Speaker 1: haven't heard any updates on it. And on top of it,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and I know Finding Mister Christmas falls in this lane,
- 11:24Speaker 1: but there is a ton of new reality programming, unskip
- 11:29Speaker 1: unscripted programming as well. Uh huh, where are those going?
- 11:33Speaker 1: Are those holiday are those summer what's happening? Those are
- 11:38Speaker 1: all great questions. Those are all great questions. I would
- 11:43Speaker 1: love to see the programming line up for all of
- 11:45Speaker 1: these things. Oh and then I thought, maybe they're gonna
- 11:48Speaker 1: dump the I can't remember what it's called, but the
- 11:52Speaker 1: on the Hallmark Mystery channel. Those Christmas movies. You know,
- 11:56Speaker 1: there's usually like eight of them or ten Miracles of Christmas. Yes, yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 1: maybe they're gonna dump those and put stuff on Hallmark
- 12:02Speaker 1: Mystery or No. I don't know. I don't know. What
- 12:06Speaker 1: I do know is that I cannot take on ten
- 12:10Speaker 1: thousand hours of holiday programming. No, we're gonna have to
- 12:14Speaker 1: choose wisely. Wow, maybe we'll take it to the listeners
- 12:18Speaker 1: and allow them to cast some votes. Yeah, that's a
- 12:21Speaker 1: good idea, because we just cannot do it all. I mean,
- 12:23Speaker 1: I was a shell of myself last year. I just
- 12:25Speaker 1: don't know. Can't do it, can't do it. Another series
- 12:29Speaker 1: that has been renewed is The Chicken Sisters is back
- 12:32Speaker 1: for season two. I think there's some mixed feelings about this. Oh.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I think there's a lot of mixed feelings about it,
- 12:40Speaker 1: especially because our Facebook group has been saying stuff. Yeah,
- 12:44Speaker 1: I think there's some hope that perhaps they'll take a
- 12:48Speaker 1: like a vibe shift. The showrunner has been changed. There's
- 12:55Speaker 1: a new showrunner. Her name's Aaron Gibson. She was a
- 12:58Speaker 1: writer on the show and now she's the showrunner. And
- 13:01Speaker 1: the EP Annie McBain is no longer with the show.
- 13:05Speaker 1: There's a quote from Themantha de Pippo SVP programming at
- 13:10Speaker 1: Hamewark that says, we're grateful to Annie MacBain for creating
- 13:13Speaker 1: the series for television, bringing to life the town of
- 13:15Speaker 1: Maranac and its colorful characters. Goes on to say the
- 13:19Speaker 1: show is in great hands with Aaron Gibson taking the
- 13:21Speaker 1: rings as showrunner, and we know that our stellar cast
- 13:23Speaker 1: will set about something new for viewers. You know who
- 13:27Speaker 1: Aaron Gibson is, don't you? No? She has a y
- 13:33Speaker 1: popular podcast. Oh she is a Gibbler Tron Is that her?
- 13:38Speaker 1: And comedian? I think it was called Throwing Shade. It
- 13:42Speaker 1: may not be currently in production. Oh yes. Attitudes formerly
- 13:49Speaker 1: called Throwing Shade, is a weekly comedy podcast based on
- 13:53Speaker 1: discussions of women's rights, LGBTQ rights, progressive politics, and pop culture.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Interesting interesting vibe for a Hallmark series. Yeah maybe I
- 14:07Speaker 1: might be interested in a season two of The Chicken Sisters.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I mean, if we get a little bit of that flavor. Yeah,
- 14:18Speaker 1: I mean this is certainly if you look at this
- 14:21Speaker 1: is her first It's not her first executive producing role,
- 14:25Speaker 1: but it's her first executive producing role of something of
- 14:28Speaker 1: this caliber. She's been a writer and an actress on
- 14:34Speaker 1: a number of things, but I will say that her
- 14:37Speaker 1: writing is a very different vibe than what you might expect.
- 14:40Speaker 1: So yeah, I'm excited about where it's going. I'm certainly
- 14:42Speaker 1: open to it. I liked this show more than you did,
- 14:46Speaker 1: but I think some people were hoping for a little
- 14:47Speaker 1: bit of a vibe change. I'm real curious. I was
- 14:50Speaker 1: wondering how it's doing on the main network. Obviously they
- 14:54Speaker 1: don't disclose those numbers. Yeah, when it aired on Hallmark Plus,
- 14:59Speaker 1: it's like you can't get like a gauge because the
- 15:02Speaker 1: only people who were watching it were subscribers of Hallmark Plus. Right.
- 15:07Speaker 1: It seems to me some of the feedback is people
- 15:10Speaker 1: don't really like the series The Chicken Sisters, now airing
- 15:14Speaker 1: the current season. Yeah, I think there. I think there
- 15:18Speaker 1: are a lot of people who struggle with it not
- 15:20Speaker 1: being Hallmark enough, oh not being Hallmark enough. Yeah, okay,
- 15:24Speaker 1: I didn't think it was that great. It was fine.
- 15:27Speaker 1: It had its ups and downs. For me, I am
- 15:29Speaker 1: not looking forward to a season two. Yeah, I know
- 15:31Speaker 1: you're not. I know you're not. Yeah, I hear you. Okay,
- 15:45Speaker 1: let's move on Reality with Heart programming. What are your
- 15:50Speaker 1: thoughts on reality programming coming to Hallmark Channel? For what
- 15:54Speaker 1: it's worth, the Reality with Heart program refers to Hallmark
- 15:57Speaker 1: is doing reality, and I think they're calling it Reality
- 15:59Speaker 1: with Heart in order to be like we're not Summer House,
- 16:01Speaker 1: We're not the Housewives, Like there's no flipping tables, like
- 16:04Speaker 1: we're like family friendly programming, right, like Celebrations like Finding
- 16:08Speaker 1: Mister Christmas, like Luke McFarlane's Where the Heart Is. I
- 16:13Speaker 1: like some of these ideas. I like these ideas. I
- 16:16Speaker 1: think Hallmark has done a pretty good job with their
- 16:19Speaker 1: reality programming so far. You're not saying anything. I mean, like,
- 16:22Speaker 1: for me, it was amazing. I think Where the Heart
- 16:25Speaker 1: Is is a real cute run oh show. Luke McFarland's
- 16:27Speaker 1: great on it. I watched one episode of Celebrations, like
- 16:31Speaker 1: it's not super my vibe, but I think it's Oh,
- 16:36Speaker 1: it's a lot of people's vibe. Okay, here are my thoughts. Yeah,
- 16:39Speaker 1: you're like, get out of the way, you're screwing this up. No, no, no, no, no.
- 16:44Speaker 1: You reference Summer House where you referenced Housewives. Those are
- 16:48Speaker 1: wildly popular Bravo reality TV shows that have been on
- 16:53Speaker 1: for years. They obviously do well with the fans and
- 16:57Speaker 1: for the network. Right, they're a little messy. I love it.
- 17:00Speaker 1: They're not for Hallmark though, So I'm wondering when you
- 17:05Speaker 1: get your reality with heart, like, does that grow tired
- 17:09Speaker 1: after a while? What makes you want to like tone
- 17:13Speaker 1: back in for more? Yes. I like Luke McFarland's Renault show,
- 17:18Speaker 1: Like I it's I like renovation stuff, so I would
- 17:22Speaker 1: tune into that again. I have watched the Lacey Celebrations
- 17:26Speaker 1: show and it is coming back for a season two.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I don't care that much about it, Like, it doesn't
- 17:32Speaker 1: do anything for me while I'm watching it. Yeah, so
- 17:36Speaker 1: I'm like, I it needs to be a little bit
- 17:38Speaker 1: of a balance finding mister Christmas, great balance because it
- 17:43Speaker 1: had took a little bit of like the reality TV
- 17:46Speaker 1: that we know with a Hallmark spin. So why don't
- 17:51Speaker 1: we talk a little bit about a couple of the
- 17:53Speaker 1: series that are in development. Okay, there's Baked with Love Holiday,
- 17:58Speaker 1: it's a family recipe bake off holiday look. Baking shows
- 18:04Speaker 1: are a dime a dozen, Yeah, especially in the holiday season. Yes,
- 18:10Speaker 1: and this one doesn't at the moment have a Hallmark
- 18:14Speaker 1: actor attached. And I think that could make or break
- 18:16Speaker 1: the series. Oh as a host, yes, because look at
- 18:19Speaker 1: a show like Nailed It. The reason why Nailed It
- 18:22Speaker 1: is funny. If you like Nailed It is because of
- 18:25Speaker 1: the host, Nicole Buyer, right, yeah, uh huh uh huh.
- 18:30Speaker 1: And then she brings in like this rotating cast of
- 18:32Speaker 1: co hosts like she sometimes has Jason Mansucus, who I
- 18:35Speaker 1: find hilarious. He's not for everybody, He's so funny. I
- 18:39Speaker 1: love him. I think what will make or break this
- 18:43Speaker 1: show is the host and like the recurring cast of
- 18:45Speaker 1: supporting characters. I have two thoughts. Jonathan Bennett hosts those
- 18:49Speaker 1: Food Food Network shows that are very similar to this.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I can't imagine he's gonna do it for Hallmark, right,
- 18:56Speaker 1: because he probably already is under contract on Food. Well, well,
- 18:59Speaker 1: he's also doing two reality shows. I know, I know,
- 19:03Speaker 1: hold on, we'll get to that in a second. My
- 19:04Speaker 1: other point is, remember I don't think it's on anymore,
- 19:08Speaker 1: but there was. I think it was called Make It.
- 19:12Speaker 1: It was like a craft show, a craft reality competition
- 19:15Speaker 1: show on NBC, and the host was like Amy Poehler.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Uh huh uh huh uh huh. That is funny because
- 19:22Speaker 1: you have a very funny host. So I agree with you.
- 19:25Speaker 1: A show like this, even though, is going to be
- 19:27Speaker 1: sweet featuring these like families in a bakeoff situation that
- 19:31Speaker 1: may scratch that British bakeoff holiday itch. It's Melissa Peterman.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Melissa Peterman would be a fantastic host for this show.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I just raised my voy in. Yes, she
- 19:43Speaker 1: would be fan freak fantastic. Start a petition right now. Seriously,
- 19:50Speaker 1: we also have arms to build. We love homework star
- 19:52Speaker 1: Nikki DeLoach helps a community honor first responders and veterans. Look,
- 19:57Speaker 1: it's gonna make me cry. I'm not a post to it.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I'm the kind of person who can't watch like a
- 20:03Speaker 1: TikTok homecoming video without sobbing. These servicemen and women surprising
- 20:08Speaker 1: their children at school. Oh I think you can scratch
- 20:10Speaker 1: an itch. Yeah, I mean this is this is nice.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I'm sure it's gonna be fine. I don't want to
- 20:15Speaker 1: watch twelve episodes of it. No, No six, give me
- 20:18Speaker 1: six four. Daughter of the Bride, which is daughters helping
- 20:29Speaker 1: their mothers prepare for a new beginning in love. Look,
- 20:32Speaker 1: this is giving TLC's a wedding story, is it not?
- 20:36Speaker 1: I did you watch every episode of that? Yes? Because
- 20:39Speaker 1: I was getting married at that time. Yeah. And a
- 20:42Speaker 1: baby story, Yes, I watched both of those. I don't
- 20:46Speaker 1: know if I would want to watch this because I'm like,
- 20:49Speaker 1: I've been married twenty years. I'm not the one getting married.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I don't care. You don't want to see these women
- 20:54Speaker 1: your age. This is not twenty year old women navigating
- 20:58Speaker 1: their first weddings. These are like second chance romance. Now
- 21:01Speaker 1: I get a little maybe, okay, maybe maybe Finally, this
- 21:07Speaker 1: is the one I'm most excited about in the lineup.
- 21:09Speaker 1: It's Murder Mystery House co created by Jonathan Bennett. I
- 21:12Speaker 1: Am assuming, hosted by Jonathan Bennett. This is basically Mystery Island.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Like Hallmark Mystery fans are on an investigation in a
- 21:23Speaker 1: mansion where there's been a murder and they gotta they
- 21:26Speaker 1: gotta figure out who the suspect is who the murder is?
- 21:30Speaker 1: It says made up of favorite Hallmark actors, so oh
- 21:35Speaker 1: to me, it reads traders. Yeah, yeah, I think traders
- 21:38Speaker 1: as well. I think they're like, how can we capitalize
- 21:41Speaker 1: on the It's interesting because it's like the look, first
- 21:46Speaker 1: of all, I want to be on the show. This
- 21:47Speaker 1: is my please, please please please cast us on the shows,
- 21:54Speaker 1: because we know I would be really bad at it,
- 21:57Speaker 1: but really bad in a funny way. I think I
- 21:58Speaker 1: would be the kind of and people scream at every
- 22:01Speaker 1: single week. My goodness, I don't have a mystery solving
- 22:06Speaker 1: bone in my body, but it would be fun. It's
- 22:11Speaker 1: interesting because it seems like like typically in a situation
- 22:17Speaker 1: like this, one of the one of like the average joes,
- 22:22Speaker 1: but it's they got to figure out which one of
- 22:24Speaker 1: the Hallmark actors did. Yeah, it's a fun spin. It's
- 22:27Speaker 1: a good spin. I'm gonna watch that. I mean, at
- 22:30Speaker 1: least I'm gonna watch the first one. Of course. I
- 22:33Speaker 1: gotta say I'm excited for this one, and I'm excited
- 22:37Speaker 1: that Jonathan Bennett keeps bringing quality, which seems like quality
- 22:41Speaker 1: projects to the network. Agree. I think I feel like
- 22:47Speaker 1: Bennett is the only one going. I can only be
- 22:49Speaker 1: cast in a in a lead role in a movie
- 22:51Speaker 1: for so long I'm doing. Now let me diversify. I'm
- 22:54Speaker 1: going to do other staff here. Yeah. And I think
- 22:58Speaker 1: he's I think he really understand what works in reality programming. Yeah,
- 23:03Speaker 1: one hundred percent. Like he made Finding Mister Christmas be
- 23:08Speaker 1: a totally hallmarky show that had a mass appeal. God,
- 23:15Speaker 1: I love that show. I'm telling you guys, if it's
- 23:17Speaker 1: on in the summer on Linear, please watch it. Even
- 23:20Speaker 1: if you're like reality is not for me. It is
- 23:24Speaker 1: so fun and heartwarming. It's just good. I have a
- 23:31Speaker 1: side note. Mm hm. This is totally unconfirmed, but I
- 23:37Speaker 1: saw some chatter that winner of Finding Mister Christmas one,
- 23:42Speaker 1: Azra Morland, recently announced that he is in pre production
- 23:46Speaker 1: of a new Hallmark movie. Oh he did twenty three
- 23:52Speaker 1: hours ago. Ezra Morland posted on Instagram, can't wait to
- 23:56Speaker 1: be back on set tomorrow filming another Hallmark Channel movie
- 24:00Speaker 1: for y'all. Look, the man is pretty. He's incredibly ez
- 24:10Speaker 1: Good for Ezra. Good for Ezra. Also, Jessica Lowness comments
- 24:16Speaker 1: on every single one of his posts. I like, literally
- 24:19Speaker 1: I'm scrolling through. She's the first comment, like reacting to
- 24:23Speaker 1: every single one of his posts soon. I still stand
- 24:29Speaker 1: by the fact that maybe they're together. That takes a
- 24:33Speaker 1: gossip episode. Maybe maybe they're just like, maybe they just
- 24:37Speaker 1: formed a bond because you know, she kind of mentored
- 24:40Speaker 1: him in his first movie. I think it's possible, got it.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Before moving on from reality, I want to circle back
- 24:47Speaker 1: to one more show that we did not talk about,
- 24:49Speaker 1: but it does premiere on May fifth, The Motherhood with
- 24:53Speaker 1: Connie Britton. Yeah. That's well. I called it Queer Eye
- 24:57Speaker 1: with ladies. It was. It's like a lifestyle makeover. I
- 25:02Speaker 1: think that's the vibe they're going for. Obviously it's for women.
- 25:06Speaker 1: I like Connie Britton. I think this could be okay.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I'm not like jumping out of my seat about it
- 25:12Speaker 1: me either. I'm not drawn to this one at all,
- 25:15Speaker 1: but I haven't written it off. I've been wrong about
- 25:19Speaker 1: things before. It's all going to be in the execution. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:23Speaker 1: I mean, I love Connie Britton. I'm really surprised that
- 25:27Speaker 1: she took on a project like this. Mmmm. It's because
- 25:30Speaker 1: she's such a fantastic actor, So what I just question,
- 25:37Speaker 1: She's got to be a EP on it, right, Oh?
- 25:40Speaker 1: Probably Connie Britain producer. Yes, she is ep on The Motherhood,
- 25:48Speaker 1: got it? Yeah? I maybe I'll watch one episode and
- 25:52Speaker 1: see how it goes. Yeah, Okay. Our final headline and
- 25:56Speaker 1: it is a Christmas movie, Newport Christmas, starring Wes Brown
- 26:00Speaker 1: and Gena Claire Mason is finally rapped. Is that correct?
- 26:06Speaker 1: It seems like it is wrapped. I gotta say, I'm
- 26:11Speaker 1: really excited about this movie. Yeah, I'm super fearful. It's
- 26:16Speaker 1: gonna get overshadowed by Holiday Touchdown Part two, just like
- 26:21Speaker 1: synthetic cinemas movies of the past have. So we're hoping
- 26:25Speaker 1: that a Newport Christmas doesn't get the same chat Christmas crines. Yes,
- 26:32Speaker 1: yes so. From the Hallmark Enthusiast Instagram, here's a little
- 26:36Speaker 1: bit about the movie, it says, starring Wes Brown and
- 26:38Speaker 1: Gena clare Mason, The romantic time travel drama centers on
- 26:42Speaker 1: a determined woman from nineteen oh five Newport who is
- 26:46Speaker 1: mysteriously transported to the present day, Lost in a world
- 26:50Speaker 1: she doesn't recognize. She meets a passionate historian investigating her
- 26:54Speaker 1: century old disappearance. As they unravel the strange circumstance that
- 26:58Speaker 1: brought her to modern day Newport a pair discover a
- 27:01Speaker 1: connection that defies the barriers of time. Super into it, guys,
- 27:05Speaker 1: I mean, for what it's worth. Synthetic Cinema also produced
- 27:08Speaker 1: Holiday Touchdown. Yeah, okay, that's fine, but I hope they're
- 27:13Speaker 1: in the ear of Hallmark and being like, we need
- 27:16Speaker 1: equal promotion of our movies for sure. For sure. A
- 27:19Speaker 1: friend at the show, Keith Costumes, also did the costuming
- 27:22Speaker 1: for this movie, so he did message us and said,
- 27:25Speaker 1: y'all aren't ready. I'm very exciting, very very very never disappoints.
- 27:32Speaker 1: You can't beat this cast either. I'm super excited and
- 27:36Speaker 1: give me time travel. Have I not already established that
- 27:40Speaker 1: I love time travel? So yeah, especially because we know
- 27:43Speaker 1: Synthetic Cinema can do it. They did it in a
- 27:45Speaker 1: bow more Christmas in a way that we loved. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 27:48Speaker 1: So I'm excited for that one. Do we know any
- 27:52Speaker 1: other Christmas movies that are either in production. I've seen
- 27:56Speaker 1: some chatter about some that are in production, but I
- 27:59Speaker 1: sometimes wor worry about the accuracy of that information. Yeah, because,
- 28:04Speaker 1: as you recall, last year, there was some chatter about
- 28:07Speaker 1: Santa Who before it became the Santa Class. Yeah, and
- 28:11Speaker 1: you had reached out to write or wrestle handline. He
- 28:13Speaker 1: was like, that is not even close to what that
- 28:15Speaker 1: movie is about. There's not one ounce of actual information there,
- 28:20Speaker 1: and so I do sometimes worry about sharing that information. Yeah,
- 28:24Speaker 1: me too, me too. So that's a wrap on this
- 28:28Speaker 1: episode of Hallmark Headlines. If you have thoughts on any
