- Chris Laker: Last night I was at the Troubadour again for the final night of Bleacher's five night run, and I'll say it again, I said it yesterday, and I'll say it the next time I see them. One of the best live bands you can see. I haven't seen all the live bands, maybe that's not fair for me to say. I'm not saying they're better than any I'm saying they're one of the best. I'm not saying they're better than Imagine Dragons. I've never seen Imagine Dragons live. I have no idea. I enjoy their music more than Imagine Dragon. nothing against Imagine Dragons. nothing against any other if you are in a band, you're like, well, my band is great too. Good. Music is the Best art form I think I'm gonna say music is at the top. I've ranked the art forms before, I'm not gonna do it again. I'm just gonna repeat my feeling that music is the best. So go see live music if you can. If you can, of course you can. There's live music where you are. Something. There's something. there's karaoke. Is that that's that's live. Well, the music's not live. The singing's live, the music's recorded. So that doesn't count. But there's a band playing music somewhere. And go see it. Tonight, you have to go tonight. Unless you went last night. If you saw live music last night, you don't have to go tonight, but go soon. Okay, I'm just gonna get into the news because I'm a little tired. I'm not complaining, I was I was up late, then I had to get up very early to do a thing and not gonna bore you with the details, and I came back and went back to sleep for a little bit and now I'm doing this and it is my privilege and my honor to bring you the news. Family of Texas pregnant women who Died Sue's Texas AG Ken Paxton alleges denied abortion led to death. Are they suing Ken Paxton personally? I guess they're suing the state. It'd be great if they could sue him personally, if he had to actually pay out he he's probably got a a lot of money. I don't know about Ken Paxton's finances. I know he's an awful person and Texas's laws about abortion are insane. So it's not even women who want to get an abortion, just like, hey, I I want an abortion because I want an abortion, which should totally be allowed. Not even say it's but it's like I need to get this, or in this case, I'm gonna die. And still doesn't feel right. yeah, you're gonna have to die. I know the baby's not even gonna live. but yeah. This is Texas and that's what you get for no income tax. Well that and very high property tax and not great infrastructure, yeah, sue the fuck out of Ken Paxton and for the love of God, I hope he doesn't get elected in November. Erica Kirk takes step to sue Utah over Charlie Kirk assassination. Is that Utah's fault? was it because of the security, the police didn't adequately protect him, so and he then he got shot. sounds like it goes against the Republican some people are gonna get shot. Crazy people are gonna do crazy shit. throw the hands up in the air. Guns are very important people get shot. It's just a fucking thing that happens. it doesn't go against the Republican values of taking whatever money you can from wherever you can get it. So I guess that lines up perfectly and that's what Charlie Kirk would have really wanted. might not be what he said, but I'm sure it would be what he wanted. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts invested six hundred thousand dollars for cooling system at Northeast High School. this is how things get done, is that famous rich people give money to schools. That's why you don't need to raise taxes. or even spend the tax money that you got on education, because eventually some rich people will feel bad and take care of it themselves. That's trickle down economics. this is a great thing he's doing, of course. Jalen Hurts should be celebrated for giving the six hundred thousand dollars for the cooling system. But he's not even the richest person in Philadelphia and they ain't giving shit. You think about, Elon Musk being the richest man in the world, He has not done a humanitarian thing ever, except he was years ago, he was gonna try to rescue those kids in the cave. He was gonna try to build a submarine to get those kids out of the that were trapped in the cave. Then somebody else did it before him, rescued them. A group of people rescued them. And then he got mad and called the dude a pedophile, who organized it. So yeah. but this is great. congratulations to those kids. They got a new air conditioning system from a football player. Russian disinformation campaign sets sights on US midterms. no. More memes. More Facebook memes. That's where all the Russian disinformation goes to. They pay for Facebook memes. Those don't seem like they should cost a lot of money. And the people that you're fooling with those, it doesn't take a lot to fool. They're like want to be fooled and then they get fooled. And then you try to say, No, you got fooled here. And they're like, No, I didn't. You're like, Yeah, but this is fake. And well, even if it is fake it kind of gets to a a deeper truth that I think should be addressed. Just don't vote for Republicans, like under any circumstances. Then you won't I'm not saying Democrats are the best. Well I'm saying that they're the best, I guess, the best option. I'm s they're they're bad. They're not good. I don't like like them a lot of the time. But Republicans I don't like. And you shouldn't vote for them. They're not good for anything. Satellites show Earth lost more than twelve trillion tons of ice from Greenland and Artica in forty seven years. Twelve trillion tons. That is if you said twelve billion tons, I'd say we're fucked. Twelve trillion tons, it just makes me laugh. Okay. I guess this is fine. as long as you're okay with the human existence ending, which I I am. I'm not like for I don't like root for it. some days, but I don't root for it in general. but it's gonna happen and it seems like we're helping it. I've gone on and on about the environment 'cause every day there's a headline like this, this is maybe the s one of the scarier ones, But I don't know. I I guess we could start making more ice. Can we start freezing some things? I guess not. It's just it's all gonna melt. sorry to be, giving you bad news. But it's fine right now, right? You're you're fine right now. Just enjoy today. That live in the moment. That's the gift of the environment being in the state that it is. You live in the moment and just just suck it up, savor it, enjoy it. Three people killed when NBC and Telemundo News helicopter crashes while covering LA bus collision. This is sad. I saw this happen yesterday. There's no reason for helicopters. They don't work. they've killed too many people. like rich, famous people die in helicopters, that's how you know there's no good helicopters. 'Cause they would get the better helicopters. LA is just helicopters always passing over you. and maybe it's like there's so many helicopters, one's gonna go down every once in a while. Saying we got drones. we don't need them anymore? I'm anti helicopter. Stay off them if you can. Seventeen year old girl asleep in room, woman in tent, both attacked by bears in Colorado. Now you're in a tent. You gotta understand a bear can attack you through a tent. you're inside, that feels like no bears. Bears not coming inside. I don't know what this room maybe it's a room in a cabin. If you're in a cabin, yeah, there's still bears coming. They're hungry. And the temperature's up. there was another bear attack in Colorado not that long ago. The bears are out. if you're in Colorado, stay in an apartment building. Go up some floors. make sure there's a doorman there. Something between you and the bears. I wouldn't want to be the doorman. But I would kill a bug. I would kill an ant. I would step on an ant. So there's really no ethical reason. I'm a vegan mostly for health. But then I watched a lot of documentaries and it radicalized me. But I wouldn't eat ants because that's no. I would maybe. eat a cricket, but then I wouldn't kill a cricket. So maybe I wouldn't eat a cricket. I know people eat crickets. But if I was in a country where they're like, these are really good crickets, I would eat crickets. But even if they were like, these ants, these are fucking man, dude, you wouldn't believe these ants, I would say, no. No thanks. And I don't know if they were were they living ants? They gotta be dead. otherwise they're gonna be all over the place. so they're dead ants on the ice cream. Yeah, I'm gonna go I'm gonna go plain on that.
