- 0:00Speaker 1: So my wife, Stacy, accused me once again of being
- 0:04Speaker 1: a little over the top, a little extra. And I'm
- 0:06Speaker 1: not saying she's wrong. But so, you know, I'm rehabbing
- 0:10Speaker 1: my knee and I have to go up to North Scottsdale,
- 0:12Speaker 1: which is about a 35 minute drive for me. So
- 0:14Speaker 1: I figured I was going to make a playlist for
- 0:16Speaker 1: the ride. The drive is 35 minutes, but so far,
- 0:21Speaker 1: my playlist is over 2,000 songs and 198 hours long.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Are you actually ever going to get to hear.
- 0:28Speaker 3: All those songs?
- 0:29Speaker 1: No, but I mean, if I put it on shuffle,
- 0:31Speaker 1: I'm going to be surprised all the time.
- 0:32Speaker 2: That's a good point.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I figured it's all songs I like. And apparently I
- 0:37Speaker 1: really like about 300 or about a thousand, 3000 songs.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I like regardless of genre format, whatever. That's just what
- 0:46Speaker 1: I like. So I was wondering, I think everybody's a
- 0:49Speaker 1: little extra about something. I mean, obviously my music thing.
- 0:52Speaker 1: That's what I do when I leave here. I listen
- 0:54Speaker 1: to music. I listen to music all the time.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Yeah, you are very extra about music. I back that
- 0:57Speaker 3: up 100%.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I'm extra about what I listen to it on and
- 1:00Speaker 1: how I listen to it, but I think everybody is
- 1:02Speaker 1: a little extra about something.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure. Michelle, what are you extra about?
- 1:09Speaker 4: I am extra about my margaritas.
- 1:12Speaker 3: In what way?
- 1:13Speaker 4: I drink a margarita. If it's not good, it's not
- 1:16Speaker 4: shaken because you're drinking those calories. So my go-to is Zips, Zipperitas.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Okay, that's good.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I mean, those will do damage.
- 1:26Speaker 5: You have two.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I mean, they cut you off at three. Yeah. I've
- 1:31Speaker 1: only been cut off one time at Sips. That's good
- 1:33Speaker 1: bang for the buck, though.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Well, thank you, Michelle. Thanks for backing up, Rich. Appreciate it.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Thanks for listening. Thanks, man. 877-937-1047. What are you extra about? Skyler,
- 1:44Speaker 3: what are you extra about?
- 1:46Speaker 6: Man, I'm ridiculously extra about, like, hotel rooms.
- 1:50Speaker 3: How so?
- 1:50Speaker 6: Like, Oh, man, I have a whole routine. Like, before
- 1:53Speaker 6: I even put down my suitcase, I check under the bed,
- 1:57Speaker 6: behind the curtains, inside the shower. I open up every cabinet.
- 2:01Speaker 6: I flush the toilet. I want to make sure nobody's
- 2:03Speaker 6: hiding anywhere in here.
- 2:04Speaker 3: And then the whole time you're holding your suitcase up? Yeah.
- 2:10Speaker 6: Listen, my girlfriend, she thinks it's insane, right? So the
- 2:14Speaker 6: last time she secretly got under the bed while I
- 2:17Speaker 6: was checking it, I pulled back.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:20Speaker 1: That's a keeper. Put a ring on that.
- 2:23Speaker 3: One.
- 2:23Speaker 6: When I pulled back the comforter and I saw her face,
- 2:25Speaker 6: I screamed so loud.
- 2:28Speaker 1: That's amazing. You say you're flushing the toilet. You think
- 2:32Speaker 1: there's somebody hiding in the toilet?
- 2:34Speaker 7: In case.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Just in case.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I never know. Just in case.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I mean, it is extra. We did say extra.
- 2:39Speaker 3: You know what? Early this morning, I'm extra about my
- 2:43Speaker 3: morning routine, biohacking, all that stuff. And this morning, I
- 2:47Speaker 3: got in the cold plunge this morning. And it's a
- 2:50Speaker 3: tiny cold plunge, but I always think that somebody could
- 2:54Speaker 3: be hiding in the cold plunge. It's impossible for someone
- 2:56Speaker 3: to hide it. But something hit my leg this morning
- 2:59Speaker 3: and I freaked out. It was my underwear was stretched out.
- 3:03Speaker 3: So my underwear by my, what's this back here? What's
- 3:07Speaker 3: this called? Hamstring. So it hit my hamstring wet and
- 3:10Speaker 3: I went, ah! Freaking 3 o'clock in the morning. Scared
- 3:14Speaker 3: the hell out of me. And then I had to
- 3:15Speaker 3: talk to myself. It has to be my underwear. I'm
- 3:17Speaker 3: sure it's my underwear. I'm sure there's not a man
- 3:19Speaker 3: behind me right now.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I'll say everybody's extra about something. John Jay, you were
- 3:22Speaker 1: extra about just about everything.
- 3:24Speaker 3: You know what? I think you're right. It's such a bummer. Maggie,
- 3:27Speaker 3: what are you extra about?
- 3:29Speaker 4: I'm extra about silverware. Like, I don't care if I'm
- 3:32Speaker 4: at a five-star restaurant or my friend's house. I need
- 3:35Speaker 4: to bring my silverware.
- 3:38Speaker 7: Why?
- 3:38Speaker 4: Call me hyper-obsessed, but I just have a thing where
- 3:43Speaker 4: I need my personal utensils. They're heavier than the restaurants. They're, like, cleaner.
- 3:49Speaker 4: I'm sure they're cleaner. And I'm just very specific about it.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Do you have, like, a brand that you use only
- 3:56Speaker 1: exclusively or a style?
- 3:59Speaker 4: I have, like, a case that I have, like, My fork,
- 4:02Speaker 4: my knife, my spoon, and even chopsticks.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Wait, so I had the visual of like, you know
- 4:06Speaker 3: those movies where someone's being tortured and the tortured person
- 4:09Speaker 3: unfolds that little thing with all the knives? Like you
- 4:13Speaker 3: unfold this leather thing and it has your knife, your
- 4:16Speaker 3: soup spoon, your crab fork. You got whatever the heck
- 4:20Speaker 3: it is.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I won't be needing your utensils here.
- 4:23Speaker 3: You untie the leather string. There it is. That's great, Maggie.
- 4:27Speaker 3: That is pretty extra.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Maggie might be the most extra so far.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Thanks, Maggie.
- 4:32Speaker 7: 877-937-1047.
- 4:34Speaker 2: New York City's never looked so blue.
- 4:38Speaker 5: Any stupid song could ever say.
- 4:40Speaker 3: We want to get into what you're extra about. What
- 4:43Speaker 3: are you over the top about? Because Rich made this, what,
- 4:46Speaker 3: 45-hour playlist?
- 4:47Speaker 1: Oh, it was longer than that. I only have a
- 4:48Speaker 1: 35-minute drive to PT, but my playlist is 198 hours now. Hours. Hours.
- 4:54Speaker 3: So we want to know, what are you extra? What
- 4:56Speaker 3: are you over the top about? Diana, you, what are
- 5:00Speaker 3: you extra about?
- 5:01Speaker 8: I'm extra about date. Like I'm in a new relationship
- 5:05Speaker 8: and I recently found out that he has not been
- 5:08Speaker 8: to an aquarium as an adult. And I'm like, oh,
- 5:11Speaker 8: my gosh, I need to take him to every aquarium
- 5:13Speaker 8: that's in this city, that's in this state.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Are there that many?
- 5:18Speaker 5: So what's the most like extra you've ever. Oh, sorry.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Answer that.
- 5:22Speaker 8: Oh, that's not good.
- 5:23Speaker 4: What is it?
- 5:24Speaker 8: There's three in Kansas. That's close by to where we live.
- 5:29Speaker 5: OK, my question is, what's the most like extra over
- 5:32Speaker 5: the top date you've ever been on if you're so
- 5:34Speaker 5: so big on them?
- 5:35Speaker 4: Oh, let's see.
- 5:37Speaker 8: The biggest one is this was a past relationship. He
- 5:42Speaker 8: is he likes horses, but he's never been horseback riding.
- 5:45Speaker 8: So I have a family friend that works at a ranch.
- 5:50Speaker 8: So I'm like, hey, can I set this up? They're like, yeah, totally.
- 5:53Speaker 8: Here's extra bedrooms so you guys can spend the night
- 5:57Speaker 8: before the horse riding. And once we wake up, we
- 6:00Speaker 8: can ride the horses up to your cabin, and you
- 6:03Speaker 8: can just ride horses all day.
- 6:05Speaker 6: That's awesome.
- 6:05Speaker 4: I'm like, sweet.
- 6:06Speaker 3: That's cool. So all your things involve animals?
- 6:10Speaker 4: No, not really.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Well, you said aquarium, horses. What's another one?
- 6:15Speaker 8: Let's see. A friend of mine says she's never been
- 6:19Speaker 8: to Legoland, which is closest to Kansas City as well.
- 6:22Speaker 8: But I can't really take her to Legoland because I
- 6:25Speaker 8: guess they have a policy that you have to take children.
- 6:28Speaker 3: They do.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I mean, that makes sense.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Don't need no creepers around. I thought you were going
- 6:37Speaker 3: was I have a friend who has never been to
- 6:40Speaker 3: bagel land. So I take her to all the bagel restaurants,
- 6:43Speaker 3: but I guess it was Lego land. All right. Thank you, Diana.
- 6:46Speaker 3: You are extra. It's a good extra though.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I like it.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Yeah. Thank you, Mia. What are you extra about? What
- 6:52Speaker 3: are you over the top about?
- 6:55Speaker 7: Well, I'm a wedding planner, so I'm over the top
- 6:57Speaker 7: when it comes to every one of my clients. I
- 7:00Speaker 7: oftentimes say I'm a day of coordinator, so I'm going
- 7:04Speaker 7: to come run your event day of. But that usually
- 7:07Speaker 7: involves months worth of planning, creating binders, talking to vendors,
- 7:13Speaker 7: filling vendor gaps. I have a full team that I
- 7:16Speaker 7: work with that I refer to. So I go way
- 7:19Speaker 7: over and above for my clients. Um, I like to
- 7:23Speaker 7: walk in. It's my company is the title of me
- 7:25Speaker 7: is signature events and signature means when you walk in,
- 7:28Speaker 7: you know, it's one of my events. So I am
- 7:31Speaker 7: very extra over the top and I'm currently working on
- 7:34Speaker 7: a binder right now for a wedding. I have, uh,
- 7:37Speaker 7: on the, at the end of the month, I have
- 7:38Speaker 7: a wedding tomorrow.
- 7:39Speaker 3: So, wow, that's a good, you're, you're the exact person
- 7:42Speaker 3: you want to hire. I guess, I guess if you're
- 7:44Speaker 3: getting married, you want an over the top wedding.
- 7:46Speaker 7: Wow.
- 7:46Speaker 1: That's good.
- 7:48Speaker 3: What's the name of your company again?
- 7:50Speaker 7: The Mia Signature event.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Mia, my wife would love you. I got to introduce
- 7:55Speaker 1: you to her. She owns a venue, and she was
- 7:57Speaker 1: telling me her nightmare story is they had this big event,
- 8:01Speaker 1: and the food caterers put out, like, Dixie plates, and
- 8:05Speaker 1: she freaked out. And she's like, can you imagine? I'm like, yeah,
- 8:08Speaker 1: I can imagine.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh. Is that a paper plate?
- 8:10Speaker 1: Yeah, a paper plate.
- 8:12Speaker 3: I don't know. She's extra about things like that, which
- 8:15Speaker 3: is how it is.
- 8:15Speaker 1: She's like hiding paper towels. She's like, they left out
- 8:18Speaker 1: brawny paper towels.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Oh, see, and I'm like, that's the way to do
- 8:20Speaker 5: it because you don't have to do dishes.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Kyle, what about you? Kyle, what are you extra about?
- 8:24Speaker 2: I am extra when it comes to everything sports snacks.
- 8:28Speaker 2: So if I am snack mom for the week, I
- 8:31Speaker 2: will not be bringing a brown bag full of things.
- 8:33Speaker 2: It will be personalized something in the bag. The latest
- 8:36Speaker 2: was personalized cooling towels for my son's baseball team.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Oh, because you're a cricket fan?
- 8:40Speaker 1: I like to cricket.
- 8:41Speaker 2: I have a machine called the X-Tool M1, which can
- 8:45Speaker 2: actually engrave wood. And so for one of his teams,
- 8:48Speaker 2: I made little mini bats with their names and numbers
- 8:51Speaker 2: on them.
- 8:51Speaker 3: That's awesome. Personalized water bottles. I think you might win
- 8:56Speaker 3: this whole category.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Sometimes people just bring grapes.
- 8:58Speaker 3: The over-the-top sports ball. What about you, Payne? Any of
- 9:01Speaker 3: your extra balls?
- 9:01Speaker 5: I mean, I'm extra about literally everything.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I think you can put.
- 9:06Speaker 5: I think that's just in my personality, but Really, the
- 9:09Speaker 5: one thing that I've been extra about lately is valet
- 9:13Speaker 5: at restaurants.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Go on.
- 9:14Speaker 5: If the valet isn't right in front of the restaurant,
- 9:17Speaker 5: I'm probably not going to your restaurant because what's the
- 9:20Speaker 5: point of the valet if I have to walk 100 feet?
- 9:22Speaker 5: It actually makes me really upset and really mad, and
- 9:25Speaker 5: it's a problem that we have here in the valley.
- 9:26Speaker 1: It's true.
- 9:27Speaker 3: It's a problem. Walk me through the problem again.
- 9:30Speaker 5: The valet is like across the street from the restaurant.
- 9:34Speaker 5: Like if I am parking valet and I am paying valet,
- 9:36Speaker 5: I want you to drive and drop me off right
- 9:38Speaker 5: in front of the restaurant.
- 9:39Speaker 1: She's over the top about it. I'm very over the
- 9:41Speaker 1: top about it.
- 9:42Speaker 3: The thing I'm extra about is I'm the opposite of that.
- 9:44Speaker 3: First of all, I can't stand valet. I don't want
- 9:45Speaker 3: a valet. I don't want to be forced to valet.
- 9:47Speaker 3: There's a restaurant. I don't like when you're forced. I
- 9:49Speaker 3: don't like when you're forced either. I actually like to
- 9:51Speaker 3: park what I'm extra about. is my 10,000 steps. I,
- 9:55Speaker 3: no matter what, we'll get 10,000 steps. I will go
- 9:57Speaker 3: to 20,000 steps. And I can now hit 10,000 easily.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I sometimes hit 10,000 steps before I even come in
- 10:02Speaker 3: here in the morning.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Right.
- 10:03Speaker 3: So I'm obsessed. I'm obsessed with it. And, but so
- 10:07Speaker 3: it's the opposite of what Peyton, I want to be
- 10:08Speaker 3: parked far away so that I absolutely get my steps.
- 10:11Speaker 3: I find, now I park so far away, I never
- 10:13Speaker 3: try to get close to the place. And it does
- 10:15Speaker 3: irritate my wife, especially when she's wearing uncomfortable shoes. Or
- 10:17Speaker 3: you're wearing heels, right?
- 10:19Speaker 5: Like the point of valet is so you don't have
- 10:21Speaker 5: to walk.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Right. But like, I go to bed last night, it
- 10:25Speaker 3: was like 17,000 steps. Like, oh. I could have got
- 10:28Speaker 3: 20 if I just did it.
- 10:29Speaker 1: That's a lot at bedtime to think about 3,000 more.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I think about it all day.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I would venture to say, John Jay, you're pretty extra
- 10:34Speaker 2: about everything longevity.
- 10:36Speaker 3: I mean, the things that you do on a.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Daily basis to live longer, it's pretty extra.
- 10:41Speaker 3: I just had all my blood tested as far as micronutrients.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Like that. It turns out that I'm taking too many vitamins.
- 10:48Speaker 3: My doctor texted me and said, you need to stop
- 10:51Speaker 3: taking these vitamins immediately. And I have a meeting with
- 10:54Speaker 3: her next week too.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Are you going to do it?
- 10:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I did. I started right away. You sometimes don't
- 10:59Speaker 3: listen to the doctor. I have these things in my eye.
- 11:01Speaker 3: You know those little floaters in your eyes? You ever
- 11:03Speaker 3: have those? Yeah. Sometimes lately I've been getting a lot
- 11:05Speaker 3: of them. And I'm wondering, what if that's something I'm
- 11:06Speaker 3: taking too many vitamins?
- 11:08Speaker 5: Is it? Like when you see stars and you're about
- 11:09Speaker 5: to pass out.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Vitamin D. I think I take too much, so I
- 11:12Speaker 3: had to pull back. Anyway, what are you extra about?
- 11:15Speaker 3: Just a text. Text JJR or whatever you're extra about
- 11:17Speaker 3: to 96893.
