- 1:35Speaker 1: and should be somebody that we listen to and like
- 1:40Speaker 1: pretty much be inspired for for real free speech and
- 1:45Speaker 1: not these white bozos that do comedy and really they're
- 1:52Speaker 1: just getting off racist record rhetoric. How everybody say, Pont's
- 1:55Speaker 1: in the house. Everybody now, I said, just Ponji because
- 2:01Speaker 1: I read your last name and I was like, I'm
- 2:03Speaker 1: not going to embarrass population of Indonesia. So can you say.

- 2:17Speaker 3: full name is Sutan Mudo Panji. Praggy won't so you do.
- 2:22Speaker 3: That's my full name.

- 2:38Speaker 3: that far.

- 3:14Speaker 2: A lot of people.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I got here. The first the first thing I see
- 3:17Speaker 3: is a tank. I'm like, okay, I feel welcome here.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Where did you see a tank? Yet? It's outside, It's
- 3:24Speaker 1: like it's nearby. Oh he's talking about the tank at
- 3:27Speaker 1: the waterfront. No, not the waterfront, at the police station
- 3:32Speaker 1: that oh that you have to like cross the river.
- 3:36Speaker 3: And then yeah, after that, I see a tank.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Yeah. America loves their old war crime. Uh tools, just yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 1: like it makes you feel welcome. You're like, hey, remember
- 3:48Speaker 1: this machine we used to kill all those brown people.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Wasn't that cool?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Wasn't that great when we when we indiscrimmingly raised the Yeah,
- 3:58Speaker 1: I know this is not indie at all, but the
- 4:01Speaker 1: brain just clicked in with that. God just standing in
- 4:03Speaker 1: front of a tank, I know.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Yeah that was China. Yeah yeah, but the.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Oppression, the oppression. Oh yeah, but we're completely the good
- 4:12Speaker 1: guys in every scenario, on every conflict.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we know.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Never the aggressor never, don't even aggressor. Never of America.
- 4:22Speaker 1: What the blue?
- 4:25Speaker 3: No way, who kidnapped that president again from that country Venezuela.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Oh no, he came willingly. It was we invited.
- 4:35Speaker 3: The floor was rocking, the nikes.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Just went over there to invite him to our next birth.
- 4:40Speaker 1: That bag we put over his head, that was for
- 4:42Speaker 1: his safety. It was really sunny. See, we didn't have fries.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I see, we didn't have any sunblocks.
- 4:46Speaker 3: He looks surprised. He looks surprised. He just having his shade,
- 4:53Speaker 3: so we didn't realize.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he forgot the sunglasses. Yeah, yeah, so we gave
- 4:58Speaker 1: him a cloth one over his face. Yeah, you be raised.
- 5:03Speaker 1: They can be They can be deadly like that.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Sole gotta be careful.
- 5:10Speaker 1: But yeah, we're in the house. But we appreciate you coming. Man.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I know you don't use your first time, did you.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I know you're based in New York. Do you traffic
- 5:22Speaker 1: in Jersey a lot? Being because you know.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I yeah, sometimes I come to Jersey for gigs, and
- 5:29Speaker 3: I think the last time was I think a couple
- 5:32Speaker 3: of months ago I had to gig. I don't even
- 5:34Speaker 3: remember where I'm as you know, I'm not from around here,
- 5:37Speaker 3: so I'm still trying to Yeah, yeah, I know it's
- 5:40Speaker 3: in Jersey. I don't remember where the No, Yeah, don't worry.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Probably it's probably one of the bigger like Newark or
- 5:46Speaker 1: Jersey City or Jersey City, Jersey City. Okay, yeah, that's
- 5:51Speaker 1: right there. You can spit at it literally now since
- 5:56Speaker 1: you are highlight. Yes, you're not from here, You're from Indonesia,
- 6:01Speaker 1: and I'm gonna I'm not gonna lie to you. I
- 6:03Speaker 1: pretty much you probably start every podcast like this. I
- 6:06Speaker 1: don't know shit about Indonesia.
- 6:08Speaker 3: That's okay, man, Can.
- 6:11Speaker 1: You tell us a little bit about India? I actually
- 6:13Speaker 1: had to look it up and like it's always always thought,
- 6:16Speaker 1: is okay? First of all, is it one country or
- 6:18Speaker 1: is it a collection of countries?
- 6:20Speaker 3: It's one country, but in one country consists of seventeen
- 6:23Speaker 3: thousand islands, seventeen thousands. It's the largest architelag in seventeen
- 6:29Speaker 3: thousand dollars. You probably heard of one of them, which
- 6:31Speaker 3: is Bali. Yes, yeah, that's one.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Now name the rest of them? What was that not?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Name all the rest of them?
- 6:36Speaker 3: Okay, So.
- 6:39Speaker 1: That's gonna be almost as long as Yeah, it's gonna
- 6:42Speaker 1: be all the That's what the podcast is going to
- 6:44Speaker 1: be all about.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Seventeen islands, seventeen islands. Yeah, and so yeah, it's in Uh.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I actually have a bit about it. I tell people
- 6:52Speaker 3: because not a lot of people know about the Indonesia.
- 6:54Speaker 3: So I tell them it's a country in Southeast Asia.
- 6:56Speaker 3: It's so peaceful. Barack Obama spent his childhood there. It's
- 7:00Speaker 3: so beautiful. Donald Trump goes to to play golf and
- 7:02Speaker 3: it's so far away. Joe Biden probably won't survive the trip.
- 7:07Speaker 3: He's no longer young.
- 7:09Speaker 1: No, no, he's on the down flight. Yeah, yeah, he's Yeah,
- 7:13Speaker 1: that's it's like a twenty five hour flight, it is. Yeah,
- 7:17Speaker 1: that's crazy.
- 7:18Speaker 3: How did you know that?
- 7:19Speaker 1: I told you. I listened to another podcast on me.
- 7:22Speaker 1: The white guy on there mentioned that. Yeah. I remember, Yeah, yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 2: You're gonna get off that plane musty at that point?
- 7:29Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, not no way.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So that so you're from Indonesia. Now, the question I
- 7:36Speaker 1: wanted to ask is when did you When did you
- 7:38Speaker 1: come to America.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I moved out here with my wife and my kids
- 7:43Speaker 3: twenty twenty two two.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Okay, so very recently. So when you came here, was
- 7:49Speaker 1: that your first time here? Or did you ever visit beforehand?
- 7:52Speaker 3: No, be me and me and the whole family went
- 7:56Speaker 3: to New York in two twenty nineteen.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Matter of fact, okay, we what a horrible time to
- 8:02Speaker 1: go to New York for the first time.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we uh we me and my wife already
- 8:10Speaker 3: had the plan to move to New York. Haven't told
- 8:13Speaker 3: the kids, and so we felt like we went to
- 8:16Speaker 3: la for five days and then New York for five days,
- 8:18Speaker 3: and we were like, ah, do you feel about it
- 8:21Speaker 3: by the city? You like the vibe, and the kids
- 8:23Speaker 3: are like, yeah, it's okay. Having no idea that we're
- 8:26Speaker 3: gonna move there, yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Soft launching altering their entire life because it's hard for
- 8:33Speaker 1: them because they all their life they live in in.
- 8:35Speaker 4: The Nation and the beautiful island to a rat Yeah,
- 8:40Speaker 4: and then I had to.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Have I have to bring them to New York in
- 8:47Speaker 3: twenty twenty two. And my son goes to high school,
- 8:50Speaker 3: public high school, daughter goes to public middle school. And
- 8:54Speaker 3: then that's been the life. Okay.
- 8:56Speaker 1: So when you first come to America, right, I know,
- 8:59Speaker 1: because in an other place that's not America. You know,
- 9:02Speaker 1: there's a lot of media and different things that kind
- 9:04Speaker 1: of portray America in a certain way. Did you just
- 9:07Speaker 1: come on here and was like I've been fed alive
- 9:10Speaker 1: like or was it like, oh, this is exactly what
- 9:13Speaker 1: I felt like?
- 9:14Speaker 3: Ice the My reference about New York is one hundred
- 9:18Speaker 3: percent from movies.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Yeah. And there's one thing that all these movies never
- 9:24Speaker 3: showed and couldn't show us the audience. It's the way
- 9:27Speaker 3: the city smells.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, smells like ship oh man, urine, like you
- 9:33Speaker 1: smell the penis. I'm like, what the fuck is this? Man?
- 9:37Speaker 3: I couldn't I didn't know this by watching Spider Man
- 9:40Speaker 3: and all the.
- 9:46Speaker 1: You see there's no nose hole in the mask. That's intentional.
- 9:50Speaker 2: He's suffocating on purpose.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm like, what the hell is going on?
- 9:53Speaker 1: Man?
- 9:53Speaker 3: It's it's like a blend of weed and piss.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a that's an interesting cocktail. And it's like
- 10:02Speaker 1: you tell that to like New Yorkers and they be like, oh.
- 10:06Speaker 3: And people in Indiandia won't believe me when I them
- 10:10Speaker 3: smells crazy. New York smells crazy. Really it looks beautiful.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Oh you've been watching Friends.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you're watching Friends in sex and the city. You're
- 10:20Speaker 1: watching something else portrayed patre to portray through like, uh
- 10:25Speaker 1: a studio in Los Angeles that is not New York
- 10:28Speaker 1: at all, Like not even close.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Yeah, there's half the movies and shows you've seen they're
- 10:33Speaker 4: not shot in New York.
- 10:34Speaker 2: They're actually shot in Canada.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Oh really really yeah, they're not blocking off New York.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Half that stuff they do right up in Canada because
- 10:42Speaker 1: it kind of looks like New York.
- 10:45Speaker 3: And also when when every movie when they shot up,
- 10:48Speaker 3: but when they shot New York, they shot Manhattan.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Oh they will never go to Harlem. Yeah, never, They're
- 10:57Speaker 1: not going to Lenox. Half.
- 10:58Speaker 2: They're not talking about queens.
- 10:59Speaker 3: They well, not Flushing Queens, living Flushing queensa queen, not
- 11:04Speaker 3: Jamaica Queens exactly. I remember my wife was like, so
- 11:08Speaker 3: we're finally moving to New York. I'm like, yeah, yeah,
- 11:11Speaker 3: we're moving next next year. She's excited, but the image
- 11:14Speaker 3: of New York in her head. Yeah yeah Manhattan, I'm like,
- 11:17Speaker 3: I can't. I can't girl in Manhattan. We're living in
- 11:21Speaker 3: Flushing Queens. Was like, where's the building?
- 11:25Speaker 1: If every person in Indonesia bought a twenty dollars ticket
- 11:29Speaker 1: to my show, we still connot afford to.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Live in Yes, yeah, man, that's crazy, This is crazy stupid. Yeah,
- 11:37Speaker 3: and I'm not. I haven't really made money here in
- 11:41Speaker 3: the US, so I had to fly to Indonesia, hustle hard,
- 11:47Speaker 3: bring all the Indonesia and Rupiah to New York City
- 11:51Speaker 3: and still feel poor. That's what it is. It's crazy
- 11:56Speaker 3: where it's worst in Indonesia compared to the US.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Okay, what's the.
- 12:02Speaker 3: One dollar is eighteen thousand Rupia?
- 12:05Speaker 2: Oh my god?
- 12:06Speaker 3: Yeah, one dollar.
- 12:08Speaker 1: So you're like a millionaire India.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Yeah, if you have one hundred dollars, Yo, if you
- 12:13Speaker 3: have one thousand dollars, you can buy the government of Indonesia.
- 12:16Speaker 1: So you're like an Indonesian Trump essentially, like you just
- 12:20Speaker 1: buy them sell people whenever you want out.
- 12:22Speaker 3: There and don't feel that way.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Yeah, you're kind of a kind of an enemy public
- 12:28Speaker 1: enemy number one out there, so you can talk about that. Yeah, okay,
- 12:34Speaker 1: so can you get you got kind of like for
- 12:37Speaker 1: our people? First of all, we didn't even get into
- 12:40Speaker 1: Before we even get into that, you just tell the
- 12:43Speaker 1: people who you are and what you do, the people
- 12:45Speaker 1: that aren't familiar with you.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Right. So I'm a comic. I'm originally from Indonesia from Jakharata,
- 12:53Speaker 3: and I've been doing stand up for over fifteen years now.
- 12:58Speaker 3: And uh I have I have tenth special and my
- 13:04Speaker 3: tenth special was titled Man's Thread's actually on Netflix and
- 13:08Speaker 3: then Netflix. Here, it's a Netflix Okay, Okay, there's an
- 13:12Speaker 3: English subtitle if you want to attempt to try to
- 13:15Speaker 3: enjoy it. But it's also a two hour show. So
- 13:18Speaker 3: if you want to watch the show and read the
- 13:19Speaker 3: top title and watch the show for two hours, you
- 13:21Speaker 3: probably get crossed at the end of it. But yeah,
- 13:25Speaker 3: and then I I've been doing a stand up for
- 13:27Speaker 3: over fifteen years. I used to wrap.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Yes, I used to.
- 13:37Speaker 3: I'm not gonna go.
- 13:38Speaker 1: We don't have to.
- 13:39Speaker 4: We don't have to, but I will say this. I
- 13:41Speaker 4: will say this. I did go and find your rap videos. Okay,
- 13:45Speaker 4: I couldn't understand the word, but in support, Thank guy,
- 13:49Speaker 4: I sat there for a few seconds, so you got
- 13:51Speaker 4: the view.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm working in the space now.
- 13:55Speaker 3: I'm like, let me say I did my part. I
- 13:58Speaker 3: appreciate it exactly.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Let me sit here, get a couple of seconds in
- 14:02Speaker 1: my man, got the view.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Okay, we're good.
- 14:04Speaker 1: If any of those raps sound like when you said
- 14:06Speaker 1: your name, I was like, okay, there's a good flow here.
- 14:08Speaker 3: You got it, you know, Thank god you didn't listen
- 14:10Speaker 3: to the English because I had some English tray.
- 14:14Speaker 1: I was looking for those I was like over here.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Now those have been deleted, Yeah, scrub those off the internet. Yeah.
- 14:24Speaker 3: But then I moved to New York twenty because I
- 14:27Speaker 3: because I I want to try, you know, pursue stand
- 14:31Speaker 3: up here. And as stupid as it sounds, you know
- 14:33Speaker 3: how people, stupid people go to New York to chase
- 14:37Speaker 3: their dreams, right, and then their dreams died. Yes, that's
- 14:41Speaker 3: what's that's what's I think it's happening.
- 14:45Speaker 1: But you know what, you're a lot better than a
- 14:46Speaker 1: lot of people who go to chase the dream and
- 14:49Speaker 1: the dream does, because when their dream does, they go
- 14:52Speaker 1: back to the Midwest and be like a farmer, Like
- 14:55Speaker 1: you're still you can go back home and still be
- 14:59Speaker 1: the man. So and you always have that in your backpack.
- 15:02Speaker 1: So don't ever get to it's true, it's true. But
- 15:04Speaker 1: I understand what you're saying. But so so, what do
- 15:07Speaker 1: you feel like the journey has been here so far? Like, yeah,
- 15:11Speaker 1: I know it's different.
- 15:12Speaker 3: I remember I watch a lot of podcasts that talks
- 15:16Speaker 3: about like, for instance, I watched Joe Rogan, but only
- 15:19Speaker 3: when he interviews other comedians because there's always talk about
- 15:23Speaker 3: how comedy is in New York. You know, I just
- 15:26Speaker 3: want to see what the what the I just want
- 15:30Speaker 3: to know what the scene is like. And I watch
- 15:32Speaker 3: a lot of Andrew Schultz podcast that's only talking about
- 15:36Speaker 3: the comedy scene.
- 15:37Speaker 1: I like, you qualify every time when he talks to
- 15:40Speaker 1: other Yeah, because there.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Are a lot of bullshit over there.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Only for comedy.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Only for comedy. People don't hate me, okay. But then uh,
- 15:53Speaker 3: and then when I got here, I know it's going
- 15:55Speaker 3: to be hard. I know how hard it's. I I
- 15:59Speaker 3: know about bar king before flying to New York. But
- 16:03Speaker 3: when I got here, it's nothing compared to the thing
- 16:06Speaker 3: that I had in my mind. It's really tough. And
- 16:08Speaker 3: I learned something about comedy in the US, or maybe
- 16:12Speaker 3: in New York specifically, that New York doesn't promise you anything,
- 16:17Speaker 3: you know what I mean. Like I've been doing this,
- 16:20Speaker 3: and I've been doing that. I've been working. I should
- 16:22Speaker 3: get stage siven and everything. It doesn't work like that stuff,
- 16:25Speaker 3: put your head down, put in the work, and if
- 16:27Speaker 3: it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, then you know,
- 16:30Speaker 3: just enjoy the ride exactly.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Yeah. If it doesn't work, right, but very shitty, right
- 16:37Speaker 1: if you don't. If it doesn't work, out. You can
- 16:38Speaker 1: always go see the next I don't know.
- 16:41Speaker 3: That's expensive.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I have yet to like watch a basketball game Madison
- 16:46Speaker 1: Square Garden because why would I do?
- 16:47Speaker 3: It's expensive.
- 16:48Speaker 1: The only thing I've ever done in Madison Square Guard
- 16:50Speaker 1: is I went to Dave Chappelle had a comedy show
- 16:53Speaker 1: like a few a couple of years back.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Oh you watch it that Madison Square Garden.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Fiance got me tickets. But
- 17:07Speaker 1: I'm doing this.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:12Speaker 1: So you're in Indonesia? You you when do you start
- 17:15Speaker 1: comedy in Indonesia?
- 17:16Speaker 3: Twenty so?
- 17:20Speaker 1: I remember you. What you said was like I remember
- 17:23Speaker 1: like listening to you said you're one of your early
- 17:25Speaker 1: inspirations was like Robin Williams and Chris Rock.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Yes, the first ever stand up uh that I've ever
- 17:35Speaker 3: watched is Robin Williams Life in Broadway. And then I
- 17:40Speaker 3: saw Chris Rocks Never Scared.
- 17:44Speaker 1: It's a good one. Yeah, it's a good one.
- 17:46Speaker 3: And then I go back to Bigger and Blacker, and
- 17:49Speaker 3: then I remember his first special but then uh yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 3: and then Killed the Messenger, and then I've been following
- 17:56Speaker 3: Chris Frocks.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, that's a great place start, well, great place
- 18:01Speaker 1: to start and okay, so it's Chris Rock and Robin Willis.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Do you remember like and I guess you know Chris Rody.
- 18:10Speaker 1: That's when it clicks, like, all right, I want to
- 18:11Speaker 1: do stand up? What was your first like gig like
- 18:15Speaker 1: in Indonise, Like when was that first? Do you remember that?
- 18:17Speaker 3: Oh? Yeah, I remember? So stand up wasn't a thing
- 18:20Speaker 3: in twenty ten. Nobody's really doing stand up. I just
- 18:24Speaker 3: want to be a stand up comedian and obviously nobody's
- 18:28Speaker 3: giving me opportunities. There's there's no gig. There's no stand
- 18:31Speaker 3: up gigs because there's no there is no stand up
- 18:33Speaker 3: comedy art. He s there's no scene initia yet.
- 18:38Speaker 1: But then do you do you think, yeah, that's a
- 18:41Speaker 1: good go. Do you know do you have a reason
- 18:42Speaker 1: for why that may be?
- 18:44Speaker 3: I don't know. There's been this belief for a very
- 18:47Speaker 3: long time that Indonesia will never be ready for this
- 18:51Speaker 3: kind of art because Indonesia, Yeah, culturally, there's this thing
- 18:56Speaker 3: that where where we don't talk about other people's flaw
- 18:59Speaker 3: and other people's mishaps or or other people problem. Yeah,
- 19:05Speaker 3: well that's you conframe it that way, just a bunch
- 19:09Speaker 3: of pussy this ah and so it felt like the
- 19:14Speaker 3: art form cent on comedy felt like was too aggressive
- 19:18Speaker 3: and to I don't know what the word is, but
- 19:20Speaker 3: but it's.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Too almost like kind of like not necessarily mean spirited,
- 19:26Speaker 1: but like it.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Could Yes, I know what you mean, yeah, kind of
- 19:29Speaker 3: like that, and so playing comedy I know, I know,
- 19:33Speaker 3: but I don't know. It was never the case until
- 19:37Speaker 3: July twenty eleven, where me and a bunch of friend
- 19:41Speaker 3: of mine did stand up posted on YouTube and then
- 19:45Speaker 3: it went viral and then the whole scene blue. But
- 19:48Speaker 3: the first, the first gig I ever got was for
- 19:51Speaker 3: a charity. The guy actually wanted me to rap, and
- 19:59Speaker 3: I was like, please, I know the rap is going
- 20:06Speaker 3: to be much funnier. There was a kind of like
- 20:09Speaker 3: a fundraising because there was a there was a I
- 20:15Speaker 3: think it was a tsunami in Indonesia, so there was
- 20:18Speaker 3: a fundraising and so a lot of musicians were being
- 20:21Speaker 3: called to perform for charity. And then I got the call, hey,
- 20:26Speaker 3: you want to rap for about three songs. I'm like
- 20:28Speaker 3: fifteen minutes? Can I do stand up? And they were
- 20:31Speaker 3: like what is that? Let me I'll just tell jokes
- 20:34Speaker 3: for fifteen minutes. They were like okay. And so I
- 20:38Speaker 3: went there and that that was my first ever game.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Holdo, So did you have to just do this stand up?
- 20:42Speaker 1: Or did you have to rap to earn this? Stand?
- 20:44Speaker 3: No? No, just stand up?
- 20:46Speaker 1: Okay. So you okay, that's good negotiations.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Because they know that if I, if I want to,
- 20:51Speaker 3: if I if I wanted to rap, I had to
- 20:53Speaker 3: at least have a DJ with me. And this way
- 20:57Speaker 3: I just can just bring myself.
- 20:58Speaker 1: That's economical.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it was that worth these practice jokes.
- 21:03Speaker 2: So you just went up there and just shot from
- 21:04Speaker 2: the hip.
- 21:05Speaker 3: I just went there and go off the top of
- 21:08Speaker 3: my dome. Is that the term? Yeah? And uh, I
- 21:13Speaker 3: was just I just thought about something funny, several things
- 21:16Speaker 3: in my head and just chewed it and it went okay,
- 21:20Speaker 3: it wasn't okay.
- 21:21Speaker 1: That's the honestly, that's the best you can hope for
- 21:23Speaker 1: for your first time.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Yeah. But also because I've been doing I've been in
- 21:28Speaker 3: radio DJ for I think a decade by then, and
- 21:32Speaker 3: so I had a sense of what might be funny.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Okay, And so I just you know, you already had
- 21:39Speaker 1: like a gift of gab essentially, like you're good at talking.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, okay.
- 21:44Speaker 3: That's a good title for a special gift of Gab.
- 21:49Speaker 2: You're welcome.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Find us the podcast.
- 21:55Speaker 2: My lawyers would be sending over the paperwork.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Yeah, so it was I kind of have a sense
- 22:02Speaker 3: of what's funny and just you know, shoot my.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Shot, all right, so it goes, well, you're doing it,
- 22:08Speaker 1: and then like you're having a good career in Indonesia, right,
- 22:12Speaker 1: and then you get the ith. Now does your controversy
- 22:16Speaker 1: did that happen after you moved to New York or before.
- 22:21Speaker 3: I've always had troubles with my jokes, oh always. Okay, Yeah,
- 22:27Speaker 3: I remember the first I told you about the me
- 22:31Speaker 3: and my buddy, like five of us did stand up
- 22:33Speaker 3: and post it on YouTube. Right in twenty eleven July.
- 22:36Speaker 3: One of the joke was I was talking about legalizing
- 22:39Speaker 3: weed in Indonesia, and it went crazy because obviously Indonesia
- 22:45Speaker 3: is illegal and nobody has ever seen anyone talk about
- 22:49Speaker 3: legalizing wheat like out in the open. Yeah, and it
- 22:52Speaker 3: went viral. And then I always, like, I like to
- 22:56Speaker 3: talk about social issues and politics and there's always a problem,
- 22:59Speaker 3: but not as bad as it was when my last
- 23:05Speaker 3: special was out on Netflix.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Yeah, so what happened with that. I was just.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Making fun of the government, man, I said, making fun
- 23:13Speaker 3: of the president. Well, the biggest, the biggest one was
- 23:17Speaker 3: I was making fun of the vice vice president. I
- 23:21Speaker 3: only said that he looks sleepy all the time.
- 23:25Speaker 1: That's a light body joke exactly.
- 23:27Speaker 3: I mean, I mean, like you you have a nickname
- 23:29Speaker 3: for Joe Biden sleepy joke, and it's okay. I said
- 23:36Speaker 3: that the vice government the vice president looks like you'll
- 23:39Speaker 3: sleepy all the time. Everybody went crazy and then I
- 23:43Speaker 3: got attacked. And then also, uh, it didn't help that
- 23:48Speaker 3: I have jokes that I was talking about Islam and uh,
- 23:53Speaker 3: and that when that went south, it was pretty didn't go. Yeah,
- 23:59Speaker 3: And so I I was, uh, they say that it
- 24:03Speaker 3: was a blasphemy and it was uh condescending Islam.
- 24:08Speaker 1: And that's something that you can get like criminally charged for.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Yes, I have five different organization and person filing me
- 24:21Speaker 3: to do. Is that the word charges charges against really? Yeah?
- 24:25Speaker 1: And so I mean, because you don't live in Indyonnesia anymore,
- 24:32Speaker 1: I have to go do you are you.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Flying back and forth? You to like the cases like.
- 24:35Speaker 5: Yeah, for cases, I have to yeah, not really the
- 24:38Speaker 5: court cases like if they were, they could make you
- 24:42Speaker 5: kind of you really can't just say, oh, I'm not
- 24:44Speaker 5: going back, because they can kind of like force you
- 24:46Speaker 5: to come back.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Essentially.
- 24:48Speaker 3: No, but well, I don't want to really go back
- 24:51Speaker 3: for police questioning. I've been going back and forth with
- 24:54Speaker 3: a lot of the times. But I felt like, if
- 24:57Speaker 3: I don't go back and address the issue, it looks
- 25:00Speaker 3: like I'm running away for it. And I believe in
- 25:04Speaker 3: myself and there's no harm in my intentions. There was
- 25:09Speaker 3: no bad intentions, even though ironically my special was titled
- 25:13Speaker 3: Men's Rea, which means bad intentions.
- 25:17Speaker 1: But it was just that you should have went with
- 25:19Speaker 1: different Dade.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Looking back, See he meant it.
- 25:25Speaker 1: That's what he made the special. He hates Islam.
- 25:30Speaker 3: See yeah. But I felt like, also I want to
- 25:37Speaker 3: I wanted to show other comedians, the young comedians, how
- 25:40Speaker 3: to address this issue. You don't run away, You just
- 25:43Speaker 3: face it, and if you believe you're not doing anything wrong,
- 25:47Speaker 3: there shouldn't be a problem. I hope there's not going
- 25:49Speaker 3: to be a problem.
- 25:51Speaker 1: You see that, You see that, you see do you
- 25:54Speaker 1: see that? That's real freedom of speech there when you
- 25:58Speaker 1: stand for actually something and not just being a racist.
- 26:04Speaker 3: I think what you're referring.
- 26:05Speaker 1: To, I'll say who I'm referring to. Don't you worry.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I got it all you uh Man is Sphere, white guys,
- 26:16Speaker 1: Andrew kill Tony, all those guys.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Yeah, Brohitchcliff, tear him. Oh my god, he sucks ass.
- 26:28Speaker 1: That's just me saying that. If you want to book Ponji,
- 26:31Speaker 1: please do so. Just never I fuck you me. I'm
- 26:35Speaker 1: saying that. But yeah, like all those guys, like, it's
- 26:38Speaker 1: just good to see somebody actually fighting for something that
- 26:40Speaker 1: actually means something and not just like making a BS
- 26:44Speaker 1: cause just to like just to say the horrible things
- 26:48Speaker 1: they want to say, Like you're actually like I'm just
- 26:50Speaker 1: stirring the pot a little bit. Yeah, Like you're not.
- 26:52Speaker 1: You're just being an ass, Like you're not doing that.
- 26:56Speaker 1: So that's really dope that you're doing that.
- 26:59Speaker 3: And also the the the police reports about me saying
- 27:05Speaker 3: things about Islam was not it was politically driven. It
- 27:08Speaker 3: turns out my lawyer found out that was actually the
- 27:11Speaker 3: vice president that was.
- 27:13Speaker 1: The one you called sleepy, the one that calls.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Look sleepy, and he was he was moving like yeah,
- 27:23Speaker 3: to eventually make it a case.
- 27:25Speaker 1: And and Indonesia is a Muslim country. Correct, it's a
- 27:30Speaker 1: it's primarily.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Yeah, predominantly most, but it's not not an Islamic country.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Okay, all right? And so yeah, obviously, being like being
- 27:40Speaker 1: blasphemous something that's worthy to be criminally like a criminal thing.
- 27:45Speaker 1: That's already a big deal. So I ask, what's the
- 27:49Speaker 1: worst that could happen to you? Like if like you
- 27:51Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Like, what could really happen to
- 27:53Speaker 1: you if like these things go through and you're found guilty?
- 27:57Speaker 3: Yeah, possibly, there has been several similar cases and they
- 28:04Speaker 3: get five to nine years in jail in prison for.
- 28:10Speaker 2: So like if for all five were to.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Yeah, for blasphemy, five to nine, five to nine.
- 28:17Speaker 1: So somebody got that.
- 28:18Speaker 3: That's that's a lot of time for reading, just.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Reading books, yeah, amongst other things, amongst other things that
- 28:26Speaker 1: will be done to you, or doing all things.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna just do push ups every day. I
- 28:34Speaker 3: gotta intimidate everybody. I'm funny, but I'm also jacked.
- 28:40Speaker 1: So that's crazy.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Like, so you're yeah, but I don't know. Honestly, I
- 28:44Speaker 3: don't think it's gonna get there, right, I don't think so.
- 28:47Speaker 3: I think they were just and a lot of people
- 28:48Speaker 3: are just saying that they're just trying to scare me
- 28:53Speaker 3: into not doing the same typical jokes and to not
- 28:56Speaker 3: make fun of the government again.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Right, But it's like that doesn't really work. I don't.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I mean, I go back, you go back and forth.
- 29:04Speaker 1: But it's like I don't even live there, so it's
- 29:07Speaker 1: like how scary can it really be?
- 29:09Speaker 3: Like?
- 29:09Speaker 1: Yeah, and I.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Can't change the up deep my approach. I just love
- 29:13Speaker 3: talking about the things that I love to talk about,
- 29:15Speaker 3: and primarily those are political issues and social issues in Indonesia.
- 29:20Speaker 3: I don't joke about politics in the US when I'm here.
- 29:24Speaker 1: You got a plethora a joke, you have pick, you
- 29:26Speaker 1: have a gold one. You literally you you you could.
- 29:31Speaker 4: Oh man, our current state of the government should be
- 29:34Speaker 4: a special in its own Do.
- 29:35Speaker 1: You think, like if you took a US political jokes
- 29:38Speaker 1: and you think they will fly well in Indonetia like
- 29:40Speaker 1: you think they? Do you think like do they see
- 29:45Speaker 1: that word joke over there or do they still have
- 29:47Speaker 1: this like glamorized vision of America or do they really
- 29:51Speaker 1: like you know.
- 29:52Speaker 3: They they see America differently? Now?
- 29:54Speaker 1: Good?
- 29:55Speaker 3: Yeah, good? They see America differently? In my situation doesn't help.
- 30:00Speaker 3: The funny thing is we hate well, I don't want
- 30:03Speaker 3: to say we a lot of us hate the indig
- 30:05Speaker 3: in the government, right. We also highly criticize our president.
- 30:11Speaker 3: And funny thing is our president President is close with
- 30:15Speaker 3: Trump of course, both of them same time. Trump actually
- 30:23Speaker 3: has a nickname for for President probol H and his
- 30:27Speaker 3: nickname was tough Cookie. That's that's the nickname.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Sounds kind of sid.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Call him a tough He was like, okay, look at
- 30:34Speaker 3: the end of President, he's so strong, he's so strong.
- 30:37Speaker 3: He's a tough cookie.
- 30:38Speaker 1: That sounds like somebody who asked about that guy your president,
- 30:41Speaker 1: and he didn't know who the hell he was. He
- 30:44Speaker 1: just started saying, like he's really big. It's even big
- 30:46Speaker 1: is he? Like no, he's tried like five to seven
- 30:49Speaker 1: or something like he's a really big strong guys he's not.
- 30:53Speaker 3: He was a ward general.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Oh wow ship. Well then okay, so that's what a
- 30:57Speaker 1: tough So we can't we could chop you next real
- 31:00Speaker 1: Yeah it hurts you. Yeah, but that's crazy person that
- 31:06Speaker 1: you know what that should be the name of your
- 31:08Speaker 1: next special you really want to sell the name it
- 31:11Speaker 1: tough Oh my goodness. We're just we're giving. We're giving you,
- 31:17Speaker 1: that's all we want. Next is so good.
- 31:21Speaker 3: That's actually what you should call you, tough cookie, tough cookie.
- 31:24Speaker 3: And then you just really that's so better than the
- 31:27Speaker 3: what I had in my mind. I was about to
- 31:28Speaker 3: make my next special titled Indo Pain, No no Cookies.
- 31:33Speaker 2: We got that.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and then it's like it'll bring American people. Was like,
- 31:37Speaker 1: what is that? Like, we know the phrase, you got it,
- 31:40Speaker 1: You're welcome nowhere. He was like, I guess it was
- 31:42Speaker 1: a good idea to come all the way down to Bros.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I wasn't sure what Cayleb was thinking. Oh my god, yeah,
- 31:54Speaker 1: don't be surprised you No, listen, when it happens, we're
- 31:59Speaker 1: just gonna post back. We'll just send the invoice. Don't
- 32:02Speaker 1: worry about it.
- 32:03Speaker 3: People are going to clip this specific party.
- 32:08Speaker 2: This is this is how we're gonna take you to
- 32:09Speaker 2: court right here.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Everything is Yeah, that's crazy that that that that they're
- 32:17Speaker 1: really close and you're you're in you're in hot kind
- 32:20Speaker 1: of hot water right now, and it's like, so it
- 32:23Speaker 1: just seems like they're kind of I know, we were
- 32:24Speaker 1: talking before we started recording, like you just they're kind
- 32:27Speaker 1: of like kind of just like stretching it out, almost
- 32:29Speaker 1: like they're kind of just like letting the case linger.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I feel my lawyer. My lawyer actually says
- 32:38Speaker 3: that most probably they're going to stretch the They're going
- 32:41Speaker 3: to make the case float. I don't know what the
- 32:44Speaker 3: exact term is in English, but yeah, they're just going
- 32:48Speaker 3: to make it as it is. They're not going to
- 32:50Speaker 3: close the case, they're not going to end the case.
- 32:52Speaker 3: They're not going to do anything to me. They're just
- 32:54Speaker 3: gonna make it available out there. So the next time
- 32:58Speaker 3: I talk about stuff that they don't like, they can
- 33:02Speaker 3: just bring up the case again this Yeah it's still open. Yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 3: we can still open.
- 33:08Speaker 1: We can go back, Yeah exactly leave me alone.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I'm like, okay, forget about tough cookie special special.
- 33:17Speaker 1: So how often are you going to Indonesia now, Like,
- 33:21Speaker 1: not the court case in general, but just to handle
- 33:24Speaker 1: things at home because I know you have a stand
- 33:25Speaker 1: up company out there. Yeah, Like, how often are you there?
- 33:29Speaker 3: Just in the last two years, I actually spend more
- 33:35Speaker 3: time in Indonesia than in New York because I do
- 33:39Speaker 3: have to run a company. I I I asked somebody
- 33:43Speaker 3: else to run my company for three years and didn't work,
- 33:45Speaker 3: so I have to go back. So I have to
- 33:47Speaker 3: go back for that and also for the case. And
- 33:51Speaker 3: I every time I'm in New York, I'm probably gonna
- 33:54Speaker 3: be here for about a month or so and then
- 33:57Speaker 3: fly back to Indonesia.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Oh okay, so you're there like often? Yeah, okay, So now,
- 34:04Speaker 1: and I know you're still doing shows out there, And
- 34:09Speaker 1: that's the main thing I really wanted to ask you
- 34:10Speaker 1: because when I was talking to my fiance about having
- 34:13Speaker 1: you as a guest, and she like started looking you up,
- 34:16Speaker 1: so she you saw you have a page where you
- 34:18Speaker 1: speak what's the Indonesian Language's not? What's okay? When when
- 34:24Speaker 1: you're speaking the native language over there, you have a
- 34:26Speaker 1: page for that, right, and then you have an English page.
- 34:30Speaker 1: So she's no, because when she first looked you up
- 34:34Speaker 1: she saw your like your native language page. She was like,
- 34:37Speaker 1: I don't know how this is gonna work. I don't
- 34:39Speaker 1: know what's gonna happen. But what was that transition like
- 34:45Speaker 1: doing it's already hard learning a new language already right now,
- 34:50Speaker 1: it's like you got to do the art form in
- 34:52Speaker 1: another language, Like what was that change.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Like it was. There was a lot of things that
- 34:59Speaker 3: I need to adapt. First of all, the way I
- 35:02Speaker 3: write jokes changed when I moved to New York. In Indonesia,
- 35:06Speaker 3: there's a lot of storytelling, so jokes are pretty lengthy.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Like long and set up.
- 35:12Speaker 3: Yeah, And when I moved to New York, everything has
- 35:15Speaker 3: to be quick.
- 35:16Speaker 1: And so I was because you have like and generous
- 35:19Speaker 1: you have five minutes, yeah, on a generous like open
- 35:23Speaker 1: mic or whatever, like fuck, so you kind of kind
- 35:25Speaker 1: of come out. You can't exactly obviously, our attention spans
- 35:29Speaker 1: are fried out here.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Yes. And also people here have been watching set ups
- 35:35Speaker 3: since like late sixties or something. There's nothing new, yeah,
- 35:39Speaker 3: and so like, come on, give me the funny. And
- 35:41Speaker 3: so I have to First of all, I have to
- 35:43Speaker 3: change the way I write jokes, and it takes a
- 35:45Speaker 3: lot of time to adapt. Also, I sound like I
- 35:49Speaker 3: don't have a problem speaking English, but actually I do
- 35:53Speaker 3: because I have to always think about what I want
- 35:55Speaker 3: to say before I say it. It doesn't come out
- 35:58Speaker 3: put it through a filter. Yeah, And it's so hard.
- 36:01Speaker 3: I remember, I relate to this clip from I think
- 36:06Speaker 3: it was Modern Family. Sophia Bergara was it and then
- 36:10Speaker 3: she said, do you know how smart I am in
- 36:13Speaker 3: my language? That I to that so much? Because yeah,
- 36:18Speaker 3: I mean it's it's so easy to do anything when
- 36:21Speaker 3: I was back in Anesia because it's my language. Now
- 36:23Speaker 3: it's so hard, like I have to always.
- 36:25Speaker 1: It's like being a baby, like, yeah, I that's actually
- 36:30Speaker 1: that makes a lot of sense. You know how smart
- 36:31Speaker 1: I am in my language? Like yeah, you hear my
- 36:34Speaker 1: broken English? You think I'm not smart? And that's what
- 36:36Speaker 1: a lot of people think. It doesn't even no matter
- 36:39Speaker 1: the country. Like you see somebody speaking slower, being intentional
- 36:43Speaker 1: with their words, or not as quick with the words,
- 36:46Speaker 1: but you think that there's something missing. But it's like, no,
- 36:49Speaker 1: this is just a whole different way of speaking. Like
- 36:52Speaker 1: I've been doing speaking this one way for thirty years
- 36:56Speaker 1: and now I'm doing something completely different exactly, and now
- 36:59Speaker 1: I'll talk, I'm doing a stand up in a different language.
- 37:04Speaker 1: So is there different things that's considered funny in America
- 37:08Speaker 1: versus in they like do you have to navigate that?
- 37:10Speaker 3: Like yeah, that too. But also I think the toughest
- 37:13Speaker 3: part was at the beginning, was to get the attention
- 37:16Speaker 3: of people, because I remember I tried to be the
- 37:20Speaker 3: same comedian I was Indonesia in New York, like I
- 37:23Speaker 3: talk about social issues and you know, anything topical. I
- 37:28Speaker 3: try to be that kind of comedian here, and people
- 37:31Speaker 3: weren't really paying attention until a comedian I don't remember
- 37:35Speaker 3: his name now, but he told me there's a lot
- 37:39Speaker 3: of comedian that talks about topical issues. Yeah, you should
- 37:43Speaker 3: talk about you and what makes you different. And then
- 37:47Speaker 3: he's I remember, you should talk about Indonesia. And at
- 37:50Speaker 3: first I was like, well, maybe that would be interesting,
- 37:53Speaker 3: but nobody knows anything about Indonesia.
- 37:55Speaker 1: That's why.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Yeah, And so I tried. At first. It gets the antest.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Every time I opened my name is Spanji and I'm
- 38:01Speaker 3: from Indonesia. They start paying attention. But it takes a
- 38:05Speaker 3: while from getting their attention to being able to make
- 38:08Speaker 3: them laugh. And I have to find a way to
- 38:11Speaker 3: relate the US and Indonesia or New York in Jakarta.
- 38:15Speaker 3: And it took took a while. That bit about that
- 38:18Speaker 3: bit about how far Indonesia is that I told you before,
- 38:23Speaker 3: It took a while for me to find that kind
- 38:25Speaker 3: of joke where I can make them understand Indonesia by
- 38:29Speaker 3: using their reference. You know what I mean? And that's
- 38:32Speaker 3: that's been the hardest. That that's been the hardest adaptation.
- 38:36Speaker 3: It took quite a while. I remember what it was
- 38:41Speaker 3: frustrating at some point.
- 38:44Speaker 1: I can imagine it's so hard, man. Yeah, I can
- 38:47Speaker 1: imagine like just having the hold through a whole different
- 38:51Speaker 1: way of thinking it and just trying you're trying to
- 38:53Speaker 1: marry two very different cultures, two very different sensibilities.
- 38:59Speaker 3: Yeah. And also so a fendom Mine snims Kevin's sun
- 39:01Speaker 3: Chest has told me you spend too much simon open
- 39:04Speaker 3: mic and he said, you surround yourself with with people
- 39:08Speaker 3: who are unfunny, and that won't help you with you
- 39:13Speaker 3: developing your sense of humor. Hm hmm, that's what he said.
- 39:16Speaker 3: And I was like, he said, you should watch actual shows.
- 39:19Speaker 3: You should watch comedy at comedy clubs, watch real professional
- 39:24Speaker 3: do it. Yeah, and build a sense of that kind
- 39:29Speaker 3: of sense of humor. I guess.
- 39:32Speaker 1: But you got to build it up somewhere. You can't
- 39:34Speaker 1: just practice. But it's like, yeah, over here, you're not
- 39:38Speaker 1: as known, so like nobody's back. Oh, I think he's
- 39:42Speaker 1: got I think the guy was talking about like actually
- 39:45Speaker 1: developing the craft and the sensibilities. So it's like it's
- 39:48Speaker 1: almost like trying to learn basketball but just watching dudes
- 39:51Speaker 1: on the court, Like like at going to the Y,
- 39:54Speaker 1: you're not gonna really learn the ins and out, but
- 39:57Speaker 1: if you watch the NBA, you're more likely, you know, Yeah,
- 40:00Speaker 1: I think that's what That's what I think.
- 40:02Speaker 3: Also, he's I think he's confused as to why I
- 40:07Speaker 3: stayed at Open my Utility end all the time. Oh,
- 40:11Speaker 3: he was like, if why are you staying till the
- 40:14Speaker 3: very end of the show. I'm like, I'm just enjoying it.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Enjoying this is not what you're supposed to enjoy. This
- 40:19Speaker 3: is just stupid people. I'm like, really, I don't know.
- 40:22Speaker 3: It's just because I I don't really have a life,
- 40:27Speaker 3: Like I don't, I don't. The only thing I do
- 40:30Speaker 3: is comedy, and the only thing I do.
- 40:35Speaker 1: I have nothing here, just comedy.
- 40:39Speaker 3: But I learned about the zeitguy stuff, what's on people
- 40:44Speaker 3: his head from what they say, and.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Here you're taking in it. I think I can agree
- 40:49Speaker 1: with what you're saying because like that guy Kevin, like
- 40:53Speaker 1: wherever he told you, he's not also learning a no culture,
- 40:57Speaker 1: Like right, you staying is like you're learning comedy and
- 41:01Speaker 1: you're taking in the culture, which will then help your comedy.
- 41:04Speaker 1: So it's like you got to learn a whole new society.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Do all that. You're saying what works, what doesn't work
- 41:10Speaker 1: exactly not people are like punching their jokes the timing. Yeah.
- 41:15Speaker 3: I didn't understand what being from Florida men before.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but now you know, right now, I know
- 41:22Speaker 1: it was one of the worst people in Florida.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I was like, why is everybody talking about Florida.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Here's a fun exercise. When's your birthday.
- 41:32Speaker 3: June eighteenth?
- 41:34Speaker 2: It's a fun exercise on Google.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I want you to try it sometime.
- 41:37Speaker 2: You can make this google your birthday.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Plus for Florida man, Florida man. Yeah, like Florida Man
- 41:47Speaker 1: June eighteen. Okay, and then it's probably going to be
- 41:51Speaker 1: a news article, the most with the most obsces article,
- 41:56Speaker 1: and it's gonna be nothing that So let's just have
- 42:00Speaker 1: a fun example. My birthday is floora is My birthday
- 42:04Speaker 1: is March third, right right now, Florida man my third
- 42:09Speaker 1: All right, now, this is the first article that comes up.
- 42:13Speaker 1: I swear to God, Florida Man June eighteenth. Here's the headline,
- 42:18Speaker 1: a Florida Man and his girlfriend Jed just reconciled. Then
- 42:23Speaker 1: she threw his dog off a seven to four balcony.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Police say, Jude eighteenth, Florida man. That's so funny.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Man.
- 42:32Speaker 1: That was March third, Florida man. So let's do let's
- 42:35Speaker 1: do your birthday June June eighteenth, Florida man.
- 42:38Speaker 2: That is so funny.
- 42:39Speaker 1: You can just put any It couldn't because something something
- 42:43Speaker 1: is going to happen every day, every day.
- 42:46Speaker 3: Everything. My god, that's so funny. It's hilarious.
- 42:50Speaker 1: All right. Florida man left beaten, robbed, and nude during
- 42:57Speaker 1: first date. Deputy said, ah, oh my god. Oh here's
- 43:05Speaker 1: another one. Florida man bites, threatens providers helping him after
- 43:10Speaker 1: duy rest.
- 43:11Speaker 3: Oh my god, that's so funny.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, Like so it's just a good time. Like
- 43:17Speaker 1: this is an exercise for everybody. Just google your birthday.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Whenever you're feeling down, just google your birthday. Plus Florida man.
- 43:26Speaker 4: I got one, so Florida man. November twenty eighth, it
- 43:30Speaker 4: says Florida man arrested for trying to catch them all.
- 43:33Speaker 4: He was arrested for stealing two hundred dollars worth of
- 43:35Speaker 4: Pokemon coll.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Oh my god, trying to catch them all.
- 43:41Speaker 3: That's great, catch them all.
- 43:42Speaker 1: He caught all the charges, all of them, that's what
- 43:45Speaker 1: he caught. So yeah, you're feeling down man, and yeah.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Yeah, these are the things that I caught from watching
- 43:53Speaker 3: open mics exactly, like just having to sense things like
- 43:56Speaker 3: Florida is just like a it's literally a twilight zone
- 44:00Speaker 3: this of phil but great beaches there and without without
- 44:05Speaker 3: I wouldn't have known that people in the US see
- 44:09Speaker 3: Florida differently with people from Indonesia. If you if you meet,
- 44:13Speaker 3: if you meet in Indonesian and you asked in Indonesia,
- 44:16Speaker 3: what do you think about Florida? They would say Disney World, NASA, NASA, right, yeah,
- 44:24Speaker 3: never the thing that we in Florida in Orlando.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Right then why do they say Houston. We have a problem.
- 44:30Speaker 1: It's not in Texas.
- 44:32Speaker 3: That's the headquarter of NASA is in Orlando, but their
- 44:39Speaker 3: launch launch pad is in Houston.
- 44:44Speaker 1: That's crazy. A recent Indonesian immigrant knows more about America
- 44:47Speaker 1: than I did. See open mics, Manley open mics. So yeah,
- 44:55Speaker 1: the NASA Space Center is in Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Now,
- 44:59Speaker 1: this is question I wanted to ask because I was
- 45:01Speaker 1: listening to another podcast you're on. You're talking about how
- 45:04Speaker 1: like the comedy scene is not really big in Indonesia,
- 45:07Speaker 1: like it's not one, and you know you had to
- 45:09Speaker 1: do like comedy and like coffee shops. But you also
- 45:12Speaker 1: said you had to do comedy and like almost like
- 45:14Speaker 1: drag shows.
- 45:16Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that was when I was in Manila.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Okay, because then later you said cross dressing is illegal.
- 45:23Speaker 3: So I was like it is, how yeah, and so
- 45:29Speaker 3: so that's actually two different topics I was talking about.
- 45:32Speaker 3: I was talking about I was trying to do stand
- 45:33Speaker 3: up everywhere, right, I went from Singapore and then I
- 45:39Speaker 3: went to Europe for stand up and I want to
- 45:43Speaker 3: try to do stand up in the Philippines. In Manila,
- 45:46Speaker 3: but there's no stand up comedy scene. There's only drag
- 45:50Speaker 3: queen comedy scene. And it's so weird, which is funny
- 45:53Speaker 3: because Indonesia is not far away from the Philippines. But
- 45:57Speaker 3: we are not allowed by law to cross dress. So
- 46:02Speaker 3: even for entertainment, isn't it wild? Even for entertainment, like
- 46:06Speaker 3: for for entertainment purposes, you're not allowed to cross dress.
- 46:09Speaker 1: It's crazy, that's crazy. So you said I have to
- 46:14Speaker 1: go somewhere where a cross dress is more and more accepted.
- 46:18Speaker 1: You gotta do jokes for the lady boys out there.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Yeah, but yeah, I've been. I'm trying to do stand
- 46:27Speaker 3: up as much as I can, as as much places
- 46:31Speaker 3: as I can. Like I like on the podcast, I
- 46:34Speaker 3: was talking about going places all around America to do
- 46:37Speaker 3: stand up, like goash In, Indiana and Salisbury, Maryland, and Champagne, Illinois.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Champagne, Illinois.
- 46:44Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, I don't know a lot about that city,
- 46:47Speaker 3: but I know the whole personality of that city is
- 46:49Speaker 3: college football. Okay, when there's college football, the whole city
- 46:55Speaker 3: lit up.
- 46:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not America. America is just football.
- 46:59Speaker 1: That's usually how they because.
- 47:00Speaker 3: I remember I got I got there on Friday, and
- 47:06Speaker 3: it's it's like a ghost, not a ghost, but it's
- 47:08Speaker 3: very peaceful and quiet. And then people start coming in
- 47:12Speaker 3: with what's the word.
- 47:14Speaker 1: R v y rv rv RV's and trailers and yeah, and.
- 47:17Speaker 3: Then the next day the whole city is packed with
- 47:22Speaker 3: cars and people watching college football. It's crazy, No, it's nuts.
- 47:26Speaker 1: It's absolutely crazy. Football is literally a religion out here.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, you guys, you guys.
- 47:33Speaker 1: We loves the football people. People are willing to die
- 47:36Speaker 1: for the football. People have died for the football.
- 47:40Speaker 3: Me.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Yes, I'm a I'm a Philadelphia Eagles fan and I'm
- 47:45Speaker 1: a New York Giants fan. For NFL, I don't have
- 47:47Speaker 1: a college football team neither. It's it's it's hard to
- 47:51Speaker 1: follow it.
- 47:51Speaker 3: Do you think I should have? Uh an NFL?
- 47:56Speaker 1: I was going to ask you, do you follow the
- 47:57Speaker 1: NFL or any like sports at all?
- 48:00Speaker 3: Basketball? So?
- 48:01Speaker 1: Who ni?
- 48:03Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 48:04Speaker 1: Okay, okay, sixers, we don't have to talk about it.
- 48:09Speaker 1: We're having a good time. We're having a good time today.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Pon Jesus, all right, I got you. That's not derailed upon.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Now let's make a deal. I don't talk about sixers.
- 48:21Speaker 3: You don't talk about my rap career.
- 48:24Speaker 1: I really want to do that though. You know what
- 48:30Speaker 1: fun Joel and Bid.
- 48:34Speaker 4: Anything your first album, I would say, become a Giants fan.
- 48:37Speaker 4: But now there's a whole video of our quarterback over
- 48:40Speaker 4: here being at a Trump rally.
- 48:41Speaker 2: So it's just like, no, no, not being a Trump
- 48:44Speaker 2: rally introducing Trump.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Wow. He said it's my pleasure, it's your pleasure, all right, Okay, wow?
- 48:51Speaker 1: So if anything, be a Jets fan, No, it's gonna
- 48:54Speaker 1: be bad. It's gonna be if, it's gonna be very bad,
- 48:56Speaker 1: encouraging any grown person to sign up for that willingly.
- 48:59Speaker 3: You know what, I might support the Jets the same
- 49:04Speaker 3: reason why I used to Well, now it's a different team,
- 49:08Speaker 3: but I used to support Nicks because they're funny, because
- 49:11Speaker 3: ye all the time.
- 49:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah, there's something. It's something, it's something liberating of it.
- 49:17Speaker 1: It's something liberating and freeing about being a fan of
- 49:19Speaker 1: a team that actually never has any hope because you're
- 49:23Speaker 1: just enjoying. There's no expectations and you never let down.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Knicks was like that for you, oh forever, like literally, yeah,
- 49:32Speaker 1: seventy years or so.
- 49:34Speaker 3: No, but you know, we you know it was good
- 49:37Speaker 3: when at the John Starts era.
- 49:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that was y'all had a nice forty eight
- 49:42Speaker 1: minutes for that. Yeah, the John Starks areas. That doesn't count.
- 49:45Speaker 1: You can't use any time before you were in America. Okay, yeah, okay,
- 49:51Speaker 1: so yeah, since you've been here. Actually know, since you've
- 49:53Speaker 1: been here, they've been pretty good. Carmelo Anthony time, No, it.
- 49:58Speaker 4: Was way after mellow because you came here at nineteen
- 50:01Speaker 4: you said, twenty two two twenty two.
- 50:04Speaker 1: You visited in nineteen, You visited nineteen, came here in twenty.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Soft launched the trick his kids in twenty nineteen, and
- 50:09Speaker 1: then he came back in twenty two. Yeah.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so ready.
- 50:13Speaker 2: It was on the way up. I don't think Jalen
- 50:14Speaker 2: Brunson was there yet, but yeah.
- 50:16Speaker 3: I think he but I think he was already. But
- 50:21Speaker 3: what's his what's his? Buddy? Josh Harden wasn't.
- 50:25Speaker 1: Yet Okay, you know, okay, because there wasn't times Breson
- 50:28Speaker 1: was there and then all the other Villanova guys came in.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Yeah, so yeah, he was there twenty two. Josh Hart
- 50:34Speaker 2: came in twenty three.
- 50:35Speaker 1: I love that for you guys. Actually hated for you guys.
- 50:39Speaker 3: Now it's a different Nicks. They used to be funny,
- 50:41Speaker 3: because this.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Is it's so jarring, Like it's like, why are they competent? Now?
- 50:46Speaker 1: Like this is not what I'm used to. Is Like
- 50:49Speaker 1: it's like if the Jets next year went to the
- 50:51Speaker 1: Super Bowl, It's like, how did we get here?
- 50:53Speaker 3: It's so weird to see New York so happy after
- 50:57Speaker 3: a playoff.
- 50:57Speaker 1: They are rambunctious, take over the news every every post game,
- 51:03Speaker 1: news person outside.
- 51:05Speaker 2: They're no longer talking. It's just to see if people
- 51:07Speaker 2: just like.
- 51:09Speaker 3: It's like it's literally like or something.
- 51:12Speaker 1: It's like, isis Knicks fans right under there? It's like
- 51:17Speaker 1: how fanatic they are. It's like, I really think Knicks
- 51:21Speaker 1: fans would strap a bomb to their.
- 51:23Speaker 2: Chest and go for a championship.
- 51:25Speaker 1: Yeah, and then like fucking blow some ship up behind
- 51:29Speaker 1: the Knicks. Man. I'm telling you, bro, I watched a.
- 51:34Speaker 3: K Next game last year on the playoffs against Sixers.
- 51:40Speaker 3: All right, no, but it was it was very I
- 51:47Speaker 3: was I'm Asian, okay, you need to and I'm kind
- 51:50Speaker 3: of Asian, not that kind of Asian, right, and so
- 51:54Speaker 3: I get scared easily. People are huge and they're they're
- 51:58Speaker 3: very violent when they're watching. I'm like, why is everybody
- 52:01Speaker 3: screaming all the time? I thought this is a basketball game.
- 52:05Speaker 1: I have to stop. I have to stop. I have
- 52:08Speaker 1: to stop. I have to stop, Panjie, because I have
- 52:12Speaker 1: to give you context for what just happened. We on
- 52:16Speaker 1: this podcast make jokes about a myriad of people. We
- 52:19Speaker 1: make jokes on everybody, but every time like Asian jokes
- 52:23Speaker 1: come up, I always go and the fact that an
- 52:27Speaker 1: Asian man that I always do. I was like it
- 52:32Speaker 1: felt good because like, see, I'm not a racist. They
- 52:36Speaker 1: just do this.
- 52:41Speaker 3: This.
- 52:42Speaker 1: See it's not I'm just observational. I'm not a bigot.
- 52:48Speaker 3: Really observation.
- 52:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I just I just noticed.
- 52:52Speaker 3: Yeah we do do that.
- 52:54Speaker 1: No, but yeah I didn't know that you do that.
- 53:00Speaker 3: No.
- 53:00Speaker 1: No, but yeah, like if you want to get so
- 53:09Speaker 1: I mean, I.
- 53:09Speaker 3: Was just saying that when I was in when I
- 53:12Speaker 3: was watching the game, Knicks fans are very very scary.
- 53:16Speaker 3: When they're excited about basketball. Oh yeah, they scream and
- 53:20Speaker 3: yellow Oh my god.
- 53:22Speaker 1: You know what's so crazy? They're crazy when they win,
- 53:26Speaker 1: and they're crazy. They're crazy when they lose. Like they
- 53:29Speaker 1: were always crazy. They's absolutely dog shit, but now they're
- 53:33Speaker 1: insane because they're actually kind of good. Now it's not good.
- 53:38Speaker 1: It's like it's like you had It's like Donald Trump
- 53:41Speaker 1: was always crazy, but then you made him president. Oh,
- 53:46Speaker 1: now it's just worse for everybody. Like normally he was
- 53:49Speaker 1: just terrorizing the people and the companies that now he's
- 53:53Speaker 1: terrorizing the world and that's what Nick experienced. Like now
- 53:56Speaker 1: they're good, is like you can't just ignore them because
- 53:58Speaker 1: like they're gonna make sure that now they're in the
- 54:01Speaker 1: like almost going to the finals, in there in your
- 54:03Speaker 1: face all the time. They're gonna lose next round anyway,
- 54:07Speaker 1: but they're gonna get They're gonna get piped. Yeah, yeah,
- 54:10Speaker 1: y'all have no shot or whoever? Yeah, feel who comes
- 54:13Speaker 1: out that dude is that dude over there is that
- 54:16Speaker 1: guy is eight feet tall and can dribble and shoot
- 54:20Speaker 1: and do everything, and they gotta make it out. I mean,
- 54:23Speaker 1: the other team is the So it's not looking good
- 54:27Speaker 1: for whoever comes out of that time. But you know, hey, whatever,
- 54:31Speaker 1: I don't want. I want. I want everybody to get COVID,
- 54:34Speaker 1: and so we don't even have to do everybody curable COVID,
- 54:37Speaker 1: but just COVID so they can't play. Like yeah, but
- 54:42Speaker 1: another thing we were talking about with that, I saw.
- 54:46Speaker 1: One thing that tripped me out is that you're dependent.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Like how weed isn't legal because I'm a big weed guy,
- 54:51Speaker 1: and that just hurts my heart that people can't experience
- 54:54Speaker 1: this wonder wonder plant and.
- 54:56Speaker 3: We got good weeds.
- 54:59Speaker 2: I would have, I hope.
- 55:02Speaker 1: So yeah, you know what you should do next time
- 55:04Speaker 1: you go, you should get someone bring it back.
- 55:07Speaker 2: I wouldn't. I'm about to say, you only get your
- 55:12Speaker 2: caught up.
- 55:13Speaker 1: If you get caught you just gotta go. We're talking it.
- 55:17Speaker 3: We're talking about it on air. Man.
- 55:19Speaker 6: Huh, you gotta publish this on YouTube. Oh, I'm just saying,
- 55:27Speaker 6: but yeah, there's a I thought it.
- 55:30Speaker 3: I thought Indonesian weed is famous.
- 55:32Speaker 1: So did you smoke weed when you were in Indonesia?
- 55:35Speaker 3: No?
- 55:35Speaker 1: Never, So did you smoke when you yet? So what
- 55:38Speaker 1: was that like, being your first time smoking weed at
- 55:41Speaker 1: like probably what in your thirties, in my thirties.
- 55:45Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, So the first time I actually smoked weed
- 55:49Speaker 3: was I was in Amsterdam.
- 55:51Speaker 1: Oh wow, what a great place to drive the first time.
- 55:54Speaker 3: Yeah. But it's weird because in Indonesia, people who smoke weed,
- 56:00Speaker 3: we they just smoke.
- 56:07Speaker 1: We all.
- 56:08Speaker 3: Yeah, Indonesian people will be watching, Hey weed is bad.
- 56:13Speaker 3: But Internesia, when people smoke weed, we laugh and having
- 56:17Speaker 3: a good time. We're always laughing, and then we get
- 56:19Speaker 3: hungry afterwards whatever. But in Europe it's so weird. And
- 56:23Speaker 3: Amsterdam people smoke weed and they're just chill. It's so quiet.
- 56:27Speaker 3: It's so weird. You know what.
- 56:28Speaker 1: You know probably what that is. For as long as
- 56:31Speaker 1: I can remember that it's always been legal there, so
- 56:33Speaker 1: they probably just not they don't appreciate it the same.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Oh you know what I mean, it's like just smoking
- 56:38Speaker 1: this sun. It's like stand up comedy versus in Indonesia
- 56:42Speaker 1: versus here.
- 56:42Speaker 3: I see. It's like people get pretty jaded here.
- 56:45Speaker 1: We don't care like I could. I can go on
- 56:48Speaker 1: Netflix and see a thousand like I know, and like
- 56:52Speaker 1: we was legalized, well maybe like not even ten years
- 56:55Speaker 1: like I mean, I lost. So everybody's like, oh, I
- 56:57Speaker 1: got weed.
- 56:57Speaker 3: That makes sense because I remember a couple of years
- 56:59Speaker 3: ago I went to Snoop Dogg's joint. He had a
- 57:02Speaker 3: place open in Amsterdam. I forgot what the name was,
- 57:06Speaker 3: but I know because you probably yeah. And then I
- 57:10Speaker 3: went in and then, as you can imagine, West Coast
- 57:14Speaker 3: music is exhibit and Snoop Dogg and Jay and whatever,
- 57:18Speaker 3: and the vibe is very weird. People were just quiet
- 57:23Speaker 3: with the weed, just with the hip hop.
- 57:26Speaker 1: They're just used to it and they don't.
- 57:28Speaker 3: It's like it's just it's like cigarettes, like guess, yeah, yeah,
- 57:31Speaker 3: it's weird.
- 57:32Speaker 1: But what was crazy was how you said that if
- 57:35Speaker 1: you're called selling weed, yeah, the penalty is death. Yes,
- 57:40Speaker 1: what Yeah, bro.
- 57:42Speaker 3: If you if they caught you smoke weed, they can
- 57:46Speaker 3: put you into in prison or rehabilitation. It depends how much.
- 57:52Speaker 2: Weed you've consumed, yes, how much.
- 57:55Speaker 3: Yeah, but also if they caught you selling, the penalty
- 58:00Speaker 3: it's death penalty.
- 58:02Speaker 1: Jeesus, it's not worth it, man, So I send my
- 58:09Speaker 1: uh yeah, I don't know. You're not selling, You're giving
- 58:15Speaker 1: it to me. It's a gift. Yeah, yeah, yeah, So
- 58:17Speaker 1: it's not technically jealous. Yeah, it's yeah, eggzact. You give
- 58:22Speaker 1: me an Indonesian cat, yep, got the car to a
- 58:25Speaker 1: baseball cat right with the weed in the cat.
- 58:27Speaker 3: Yes, it's a souvenir. Yeah, Indonesia not selling.
- 58:33Speaker 1: Not not trafficking of any sort.
- 58:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna get in trouble from this.
- 58:39Speaker 1: Weed is bad, guys, All Indonesian people that are coming here.
- 58:43Speaker 1: He's an upstanding models and he he it's bad. And
- 58:47Speaker 1: still watch the special. Yeah, and subscribe to our podcast.
- 58:51Speaker 1: Subscribe here. You know what I'm saying.
- 58:54Speaker 3: There's gonna be a lot of Indonesia watching this.
- 58:56Speaker 1: I saw yeah, yeah, definitely. I was looking at the
- 59:01Speaker 1: recent episodes that you've done. I'm like, oh, yeah, it's
- 59:04Speaker 1: they they love you.
- 59:06Speaker 3: Yeah, they wherever I pop up, they they support me.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Do you feel that support from like Indonesian people in
- 59:15Speaker 1: the States, Yes.
- 59:17Speaker 3: But they show they gave me a lot of love.
- 59:22Speaker 3: They gave me a lot of support, especially in the
- 59:24Speaker 3: social media. But I was hoping that they would show
- 59:29Speaker 3: up when I do shows.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Oh just fake love. No, I wouldn't.
- 59:34Speaker 3: I wouldn't call it fake love.
- 59:35Speaker 2: They just don't know who you are.
- 59:37Speaker 3: No, no, they do. But most Indonesians work in restaurants,
- 59:41Speaker 3: they work in kitchen and most comedy shows are in weekends. Yeah, yeah,
- 59:46Speaker 3: most weekends restaurants.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Are packed, and especially in New York.
- 59:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it's hard for them to show out their support.
- 59:54Speaker 3: Do you know how Filipinos are known to be in
- 59:57Speaker 3: the health industry, Yes, you know. Indonesians are a lot
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: uh cooks and chefs or doing kitchen jobs, and so
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: it's it's hard. But sometimes occasionally they they do come
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: out and they show support when I do my show,
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: and it's nice.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: It's nice. It's just good. That's good. It's good to
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: feel that love.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: There's a lot of Indonesian in I don't know in Jersey,
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: but in in Philly there's a lot of really yeah,
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: I think Okay, it's pretty random. But two of the
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: biggest Indonesian pro you.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Have a show, had recently or you're going to have one,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: and I'm gonna have one tonight tonight.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: Okay, where next in line? Comedy?
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: Next in line?
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, because I just moved to Philly, so I'm like,
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: I'm trying to learn my way around the city.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and uh, two of the biggest Indonesian
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: population in the US is Philadelphia and New Hampshire. Okay,
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: that's pretty random. New Hampshire and Philadelphia.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Have you been in New Hampshire? Check it out.
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: I'm not even sure, but I was got to check
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: it out. I was in Boston and New Hampshire is
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: close by. Yes, And so I did a gig in
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Boston and a lot of Indonesia showed out, and they
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: all came from New Hampshire. It's so weird and it's
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: pretty random. I don't know why, but that's that's how
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: it is. So Phi, Philadelphia, New Hampshire, l all New.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: York, Wow, and then New York. Okay.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it's interesting.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: No, it is interesting now coming from a a such
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: a massive following in Indonesia. Okay, it's like your social
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: media is your YouTube's you're yeah, grand Like.
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: I've always I've always wanted to know, because we're we're
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: slowly creeping up into being the the.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: What's the word I'm looking for?
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Like people starting to recognize us and right and like
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: so like when you have that massive a following, like
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: how were you able to just move around?
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Like were you just amongst the people or did you
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: have you know, the black cars, black windows? No, non't
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: nobody get backup, backup?
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: No, I'm always I don't have problems with taking pictures
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: and stuff. I don't. I don't. I always will for me,
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: I don't feel like I changed ever since things got
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: big for me in Indonesia. And how do I say this?
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: Do you know how the younger fan base you have,
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: the crazier they get they get, But the more adult
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: fan base you have, the more polite they get. Yeah
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: it makes sense. Yeah, like the fans of K Pops
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: are very young and they're very crazy. But or let
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: me just put it this way, the people who love
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: Drake are different people with people who love tulip quality
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: you know what I mean? Yes, the age and the demography, yes,
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: you know, so it's kind of like that. Okay, So
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: my fans are not like crazy, Oh my god, Panjie.
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: They are not like that. They're respectful, their normal.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you got grown adults, that's yes.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: So my fan base is twenty years old, twenty five
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: years old above you know.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: Now we're not talking about your rap career.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: We're not. But I do want to ask what inspired
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: the rap? Like what what what was your first like
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: favorite like rap artists?
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: Oh oh it's embarrassing.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Oh no, okay, all right, it's not that bad.
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: Oh, now that I think about it. The first rap
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: song I ever heard was run DMC for Ghostbuster two soundtrack.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: Do you know?
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Do you remember?
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: Not? Okay, but then it was Will Smith Big WILLI
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: style Uncle Will Man.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: All right, I listened to Will Smith raps. Yes, so yeah,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: he listened to Will Smith raps from like last year.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: No listen, I listened to listen.
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: Yeah, the Fresh Prison.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: So I listened to that too. But like me, if
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: I'm a fan of an artist, like even when they're
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: way past the prime, Okay, he's loyal. You still, I'm
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: going to give it a listen, and I'll admit it
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: is dick cheese.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: He still listened to Will Smith even after the slap.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Hell yeah, I listened to because of the slap. I
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: want to see if he's gonna rap about the slap.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: That makes sense, does make sense. But yeah, I listened
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: to Big Willie Style Willennium if you remember that album.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he was listening to some stinkers, you know Willennium? Yes, well,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: leny was I think that album platinum? Yeah, that does
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: two thousand. That means that it was good enough for
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: the people to appreciate consumed, okay, which means that it was.
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: Good to us.
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: Do you have a favorite Will Smith? Favorite favorite Will
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: Smith song? It would probably be exactly favorite. Wimith can't
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: believe I just walked into a Will Smith Listen.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: Why did I do this?
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: I was not expecting this to happen this way, Will Smith.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: I think, hm hmm, do you like nod your head?
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: It's okay, it's okay. My My favorite Will Smith album
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: is Ship What that ship called? This is the most
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: whole episode exactly because it's about what I like, Uncle
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Will He said, I forget the name of the album,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: but it came out like in the two thousands. It
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: had like switch on it and switch Yeah, Switch is good.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: That was that's my favorite. What's my film? Yeah, that's
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: my favor.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: I'm trying to remember the.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: I can't remember the Tyler of the album now, which
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I know this kind of that you love so much?
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Exactly?
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Who's your favorite rapp right now?
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: Top five?
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Woo me on the spot. You know I'm asking you next.
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: I'm ready.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: He's about to pull off some of the deepest of
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: the under I'm going to be names that everybody will
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: know just I like. I would say, Kendrick Lamar is
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: up there, Oh, Keck Lamar. I would say.
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: Freddy Gibbs, I like him, Freddy Gibbs.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Yeah, Freddy Gibbs, I like Earl Sweatshirt. Okay, Tyler creators
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: up there for me. And then let's just round it
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: out out, round out with uh it was crazy. Uh
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Boldie James.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: Wow, I only know three I think maybe too Whar
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: or two.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: You don't know, but the last one Bold James. Okay,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: no clue who that man is. He's a rapper. He's
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: from Detroit. Okay, He's like, uh, he wraps about drugs
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: and stuff, but very very goods. A lot of a
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: lot of drug bars. Yes, yeah, a lot of drug bars,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: and and and I listened to a lot of these
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: drug bars as I go to my corporate job. It
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: motivates me to type in excel. Listen to him talking
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: about cocaine makes me feel Yeah, I'm like, yeah, stir
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: that cocaine. I'm just doing spreadsheets.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: Good morning, Felicia.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Yeah, like, oh my god, Hi, Tanya, whip up the work.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: All right, So you're let's hear yours mine.
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: I think Jay would be there, jay Z. Oh yeah,
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: I'm gonna go pop because I'm from Yeah. Mine is
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: jay Z and Pak Okay Kanye.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I missed that guy.
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: Yeah, late registration, yes, yes, fantasy college drop out, college
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: dropout right after. I think the last one he graduation.
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: I think Graduations could be my one of my favorite album.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Did you like all right? Did you like Jesus? No? No, okay,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: all right, that's divisive. Did you like the Life of
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Pablo Pablo? No? No, okay, No. I think I think
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: older Kanye old old okay, okay, yeah, okay.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: So mine was jay Z, Pak, Kanye hang On, Kendrick
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: mm hmmm mmmmm, and uh damn.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: One more Drake.
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: No, I don't listen to Drake.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Thumbs up that I do.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna put it in Will Smith. I put it
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: will Smith, will Smith over Drake. I agree with that.
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: It's because I started out listening to Will Smith.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: That's a big Willie style. I love that.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: So this is my last question, and then maybe we
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: can ask a couple of questions from the group, from
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: the from the from the listeners. Now, I like, like,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: you know, I've asked you a lot of questions about
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: just your transition, just your original like where you grew
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: up in Indnesia versus coming to American experience in that
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: culture ship. Do you remember like the one of the
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: one of the earliest pieces of like American media that
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: you remember consuming that you remember was like oh, like okay,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: like this is from the Erica. And if you don't
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: remember the first one, thinking like the earliest one that
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: you remember, that's so wild.
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: Probably a TV show. It probably would be a TV show. Damn,
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: that's a very good question. Wow, what's the first American product?
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: I want to say? I I want to say.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: The first.
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: I know this is from America and I went crazy
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: about it was Bobby Brown, Don't be Cruel?
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Wow, Yes, I listened to it all the time, and
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: that was a Bobby Brown.
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: Yeah, because it was it was on radio every day. Really,
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: they were like high airtime. What year was this, man,
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: it's probably late eighties.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Or okay, I'm about to say that's but you know
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: how some countries get things late, like it could have
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: been like two thousand and two and then true.
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: No, yeah, he was just I think he's just. It
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: was his first album, I think, right, don't be cool
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: and he has this one ballad song it's I don't
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: remember what it is what R.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: And B man.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: I didn't listen to Bobby like that.
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: No, nah, yeah, wait my man. No, the first American
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: product was actually from Jersey. Nukas on the Block.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Wow, there from Jersey?
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: Right? Are they from Boston?
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: I think that's no new additions from Boston. I don't
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: know about New Kid the Block.
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: Yeahs on the Block. Definitely the Nukeas on the Block.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: New Kids on the Bobby Brown also or Chester, Massachusetts.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: So Boston, yeah a Boston right, yeah, pretty much?
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: Yea yeah, Okay, Nikos on the Block I was I
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: remember now because it was my sister. My sister was
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: crazy about Nikos on the Block and Nikkos on the
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: Block plays every day in my house because my sister
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: listened to it and I and I remember memorizing the song.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: I can still sing the song. It's so crazy.
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: I know probably two songs from New Kids on the
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: Block and I only know one of them because they
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: did a song with Neo and Neo Yeah back in
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: like two thousand and maybe like nine or.
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: What is this new Yeah called single?
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: He and Neo did a song with New Kids on
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: the Block. It's a fire song.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: That's pretty random.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: I like it.
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: Yeah, really Wow, I.
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: Did a song with New Kids on the Block and
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: I gotta look it up after after I heard that song,
- 1:12:50Speaker 4: and then I listened to that album that had that
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: song on it only like one song off this so
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: there was two songs off that album.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: Everything else they can keep, they can keep that.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: But yeah, it's a good song called.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Your music knowledge is pretty interesting. Pretty. I'm an orthodox.
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I listened to anything that sounds good to me,
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: So like, no matter what it is, if you if
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: you get in my car, I'm putting my music on shuffle.
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: We're gonna go from R and B to hip hop,
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: the country to jazz to show tunes.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Wow, Disney Music Disney musicals.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: Yeah, Disney musical.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: He could wrap all the Corbyn Blue verses from high
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: school musical. Really wow, I have to tend to the
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: corn Blue album and my music. That's crazy, Okay, yeah music, No,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: I just so like my mom.
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: Has like like she listened to like all types of music.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: So like I just grew up then just listening to
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: everything to the point where like my dad was like,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: I always listen to that white music. I'm like, I
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: don't because your wife was in the white music. But
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: the mess up thing is like he'll know all those
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: obscure Corbyn Blue album but he'll be like, hey, did
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: you listen to the new Kendrick Gown? Now? Now the
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Kendrick albums. I listen to all those but Drake. You
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Like Drake albums, that's but you
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: know Corbyn Blues album from the back, and you listen
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: to the latest flow Rider album and then try to
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: convince us like it's really good.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: But you on Sundays what was good?
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: Shut up?
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: You have a problem with man. Yeah, I'm a big
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: I have a big problem with June at flow Rider.
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: Listen Man, Flo Rider, some good stuff, Man, some good stuff,
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: and it's not just all about the fast rapping. Sometimes
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: he's actually spinning some good bars. And I listen everything,
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: and I try to get everybody. I try to get
- 1:14:51Speaker 4: them to listen to everything, but it's like talking to
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: a brick wall.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: I'm never going to listen to country music willingly. It's
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: not ever going to happen.
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: All it is is R and B music, just with
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: a southern drawl. That's it.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: And I don't like it. And I do you do
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: you have a.
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: Favorite Taylor Swift song?
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Yes you do, stop blind, Yes you do say it
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: that you do. I'm not gonna say I have a
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: favorite Tailor Swift song, but there are a few Tailor
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Swift songs in my catalog. You like it, it's a
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: favorite one.
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: If you have one song, listen to this one. I
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: only listen to this one Taylor Swift song, and I
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: love it so much. The title of the song is
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: Runaway Card.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: I don't know that one.
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: Listen to that one.
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: That's all right now. Now that's another question. Do you
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: have a musical guilty pleasure? When I say that, I
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: mean a song or an artist that you like that
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: you know everybody else probably like has a bad opinion about.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: But it's like I like this guy or I like
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: their music.
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: Like I don't know if you know these guys. Okay,
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: they're called Westlife. No, no, boy man. It's like it's
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: like Nik's on the block but from the UK. Actually
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: they're Irish Okay, Okay, never Harry Pop. It's like it's
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: in the same era of and Sync and Backstreet Boys.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: Okay, same era. Well, I would say maybe I'm trying
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: to think of like boy band music. Nobody's going to
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: show you for like an in sing Everybody No, No, Everybody,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Everybody loves insane. You know, I'm trying to think like
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: that boy band music with an Irish accent. Yeah, it
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: probably sounds interesting, it sounds fire.
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: I love West Life. I love West Life.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: All right, Okay, so we have a couple of questions
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: that our listeners ask us. Let's let's let's let's let's
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: see where some of these some of these questions do
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: take us down some crazy holes, some crazy rabbit holes.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: That's crazy crazy holes.
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: Okay, Okay.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Somebody asks us this, Uh, what's your opinion on spanking,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: not like abuse and beating, but spanking within reason, like
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: in a in a like no like children, oh, children, child?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Oh how was spanking in Indonesia?
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: Well, I don't spank my kids. No, no, okay, I'm
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: I'm a very very weak father.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: I rarely raised my tone.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: Okay to my kids. You don't seem like a tone
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: raiser at all.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: Like you don't seem like you get loud.
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: Yeah. I when I'm upset, I get quiet, right, right, right? Yeah?
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: And so I don't. I don't really, I don't really
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: scream and yell my kids. I don't spank. I don't.
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: I never hit my kids.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: But in sex though, let's go.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Now, Mike, with with with you being a new father,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: like have had that thank you than you have y'all
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: had that that discipline talk. Yeah yeah she did. She's not.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: She's like apparently I'm not allowed to touch him until
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: he's like a teenager.
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: But by the time he's a teenager, he can fight back.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: Yeah and whoop. I wish he would try to even
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: think about raising his hand. I knock his dick in
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: the dirt. Pause, knock his dick. And I have never heard,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: Oh it's old. Your dad, as your dad, ask your dad,
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: ask your dad it's an old it's an old guy saying.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: I promise you he'll know what that means, knock his
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: in the dirt.
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: Because it sounds like you.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: Go ahead and when we leave, go to your parents'
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: house and tell your dad. Well, call your dad telling
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: me you knock his dick in the dirt, and then
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: tell he's gonna tell you once I touch it down,
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: he's gonna knock your dick in the dirt. My father
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: has never used such rhetoric, but he'll know what it means.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: I promise you he will.
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: If he knows. If he knows what it means, he
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: must have used it.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: He might not use it, but he knows what it
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: means because it's been said to him or to other
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: people around him, and he knows that those is.
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: Fighting with It sounds like it sounds like you're hitting
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: somebody with the cheap shot. Because the only way you
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: can put somebody dick in.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: The dirt, you gotta hit it. And when I put you,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: when I put your dick in the dirt, I'm gonna
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: hit you. You're gonna fall in your face and your
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: dick is in the dirt.
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: That's that means, Yeah, you hit him so hard he
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: flipped and then.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: He you went face down. And when your face down,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: your dick is in the dirt. Like how hard you
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: got to hit somebody to hit him in the face
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: and they fall forward. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: You gotta be like whack and then you go.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: But think about it, like say you got somebody in
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: front of you and you just hit him with a
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: straight wh If you hit him from the side, they
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: can fall and then boot they're on the ground. Had
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: it tued it up like Nate Robinson, that's worse. That's worse.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: When your butts in the air. Would you rather your
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: dick be in the dirt or your butt in the
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: air and get knocked out. I'd rather my dick be
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: in the dirt either way. The buns is up, Nah,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: it's up. But it's like like you're ready for something
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: when like that's like an invitation to certain people. So yeah,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: I'm not, I'm not, I don't want I don't think
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna spank him really like this is I'm gonna
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: be quoting somebody really crazy and you're not gonna expect it.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: But doctor Umar once said that you know who doctor
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: Umar is heard okay, doctor what he said, He's like,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: I don't believe in spanking. Only believe in spanking when
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: they do something that's that's gonna be endangerous to them
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: or put in dangerous others. Like if I'm not gonna
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: spanak Ken if he's like not doing his homework or something,
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: but I will spank you if you like you like
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: are touching the stove or like or like hitting people
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: or like just doing something that biting or just putting
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: people in danger, like you're being just stuff like that.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: So that makes it like, yeah, I think there's a
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: place for in very niche areas, but I don't think
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: the way we were raised where it's like spankings all
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: the time or like not all the time, but it's
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: like a more of a liberal thing that like spank chill.
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: You couldn't ask questions. It was like if you ask
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: why spanking.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, like and you don't have to do it
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: like that. And I think our generation of parents is
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: not I don't think that's the case now, and I
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: don't think it's gonna be the case going for it,
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: so you know, yeah.
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: Now I don't think I'll be a part of that
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: gentle parenting.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: No, that's dumb, that's it. See, that's one of those
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: things where it's an overcorrection where you start asking your
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: kids things and says sometimes sometimes you just got to
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: tell them some stuff like I can explain.
- 1:21:30Speaker 4: So essentially it's it's it's more so which there's nothing
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: wrong with gentle parenting. So essentially, like it's more of
- 1:21:37Speaker 4: a conversational. It's not like a my way or the highway.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: It's like, Okay, I'm gonna tell you my point and
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: then I want you to tell me your point that
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: that won't work, no work, and like in some aspects
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: it may be yes, but like and like the day
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: to day, it just needs to be you're not doing
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: this because that's it.
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: And that in that definition of gentle parenting, there there's
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: no disciplining. That's not the word.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: There's no we're not accountability or like it's almost like
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: it's a debate discussion thing instead of like I understand,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: like you telling them something and then explaining why that is,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: like hey, you can't do this because X, y Z,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: or I'm not letting you do this because this this
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: this got you. But it's not going to be this
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: is what I think should happen, and then you retort
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: what you feel like you should happen. No, whatever's gonna happen,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: it's gonna happen my way. But at least you understand
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: or I've given you because it went from you're doing
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: this because.
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: I said so, and that's that's that. That was one
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: of the worst things. Yeah, because now, now what does
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: that mean to a child?
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Now?
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: Now, it could be this is why you're doing it.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: I'm not letting you out late, or I'm not gonna
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: let you stay up late, because number one, if you
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: stay up late, you're going to be tired, and then
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: you don't want to go to school tomorrow and then
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: or you're gonna be sleeping in class, gonna make things
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: harder for everybody. That's an explanation that's not gentleman, but
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: gentle parents, like, well, how do you feel about staying
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: up with you? Now what we're not doing?
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: What time do you think that you should go to bed?
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: Okay, that's just stupid parent, Yes, because you're the adult, right.
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: It's lazy parenting.
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: For us, it's parenting because to me, in this generation,
- 1:23:30Speaker 4: I feel like a lot of parents more so want
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: to be friends instead of parents.
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: Like they like they they.
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: Want, which there's nothing wrong with having that type of
- 1:23:39Speaker 4: relationship with your kid, like where where you can have
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: coming to dig that's fine, But to I want to
- 1:23:46Speaker 4: be looked at as a friend to your peer, that's
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: I don't think that you should do that because then
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: it's like when shit hits the fan, because hopefully it doesn't,
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: but if it does, now they're looking at you.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: As a peer instead of a person to not essentially
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: like have authority over them, but like have more guid Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: so it's just me me personally. I don't think that
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: it would be like spankings, but like pops here and there,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: like like what the fuck you're doing? Yeah, a couple
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: of smacks in the back of the head, just like
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: sit your ass down, like stop doing dumb sh exactly,
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: like like like back in the day, like punching the
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: chest was a thing like like aunts, uncles. I grew
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: up in a very abusive family like my my family,
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: Like it wasn't just regular just belts. No, I'm gonna
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: grab the little pitchfork that you tend to your fireplace
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: with and first thing I can get my hands on.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: That's what I'm hitting you with I've I've had bananas
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: thrown at me.
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: Wow, yes, which.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: Little racist if you black person from other black people,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: but shout outs to real Madrid.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: Yes, all right, I got another question for you guys,
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: where to go to? Okay?
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: Uh, would you let twenty percent of the human population
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: die if you can cure cancer? Oh that's so rough?
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: But yeah, wow, all all cancer. It just says cancer.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: So now cancer all let's put on cancer. Let's put
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: cancer and then everything that falls under it. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: you gotta do it. You gotta do it, you gotta
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: do it, you got to do it.
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: These are the things that Thanos says.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: That's fine, and and to To was right, like if
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: Danas wasn't curing cancer, he was just he was just
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: curious that other half of people could still get cancer.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: So you know what I'm saying, So what good was
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: he really doing if like that other hap of people
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: still getting cancer die? Now curing cancer forever, there's never cancer.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: You have to do that. And then it's only twenty percent.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: Sounds like a lot. But in the grand scheme of things,
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: you've been and then not just say going forward, it's
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: not just cancer free it's a cancer free future. No can,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: brass cancer, no pancreatic cancer, no colon cancer, lung can,
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: all the cancers are gone.
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta comes down with them to the mathematics
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: of it. If if those twenty percent people didn't die,
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: how many person how many people? How many percent of
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: people would have died because of the cancer.
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: For sure, And I think you gotta think of cancer.
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: Probably I don't think shaw, because you gotta think about
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: all the people in the future. There's you gotta like
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: there's no cancer anymore. Well then also like so all
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: the people that would get cancer and eventually, like you
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Like you're wiping a disease off forever.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: But at this point we're also we're not done with
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: figuring out all the cancers and like how to treat them.
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: So it's like, but then you don't have to do
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: the future like you would think that like the treatment
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: and science would advance and we've soon la, we don't
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: have to worry about that. If everybody was just cancer free.
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: Of four to five billion people, is a lot of
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: people that there's a lot of people.
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: That's crazy, But no more cancer, we'll be able to
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: populate it pretty quickly because people will live without cancer
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: to make more.
- 1:27:43Speaker 3: Baby would say no, no, no, I'd say no, I
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: don't believe that the percentage of people who got cancer.
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: Check the numbers on this and get back to the
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: percent of like the world's population. Yeah, yeah, I don't
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: think so either.
- 1:27:57Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, okay, So you're saying the total world population
- 1:28:03Speaker 4: of people with cancer is less than twenty percent that
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: would die to make sure that nobody else gets it.
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: Yeah. And also, this is gonna sound weird, but cancer
- 1:28:16Speaker 3: is just a way of people to die. It's just
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: one way. There's a lot of ways. You know, we
- 1:28:26Speaker 3: don't we don't, you know what I mean?
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: That's okay, So twenty percent of the world population, which
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: is roughly eight point three billion, that's one point sixty
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: six billion people right now. I'm not saying I'm I'm
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: not I'm just want to check. So that's a little
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: bit under the population of China. So would you wipe
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: China off the mat to eliminate cancer?
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: No, man, are you crazy? Now you sound.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: I just wanted to give you a measure, like, that's
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: a lot of people, a lot of people. That's a
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: lot of the whole. Yeah, yeah, that's crazy again. Plus
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: I want a Huawei phone, So get them out of here,
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: just yet, get you now. Yeah, not just because it's Android,
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: it's just because it's crazy because Samsung. So that's not
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: an Android thing. I mean, it's already bigger than We're
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: not going to get into an androids discussion. We're not
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: going to get into a phone discussion. We're sitting here
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: with iPhones. I just want to know that song, Oh
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: that you had to get out of the shop, and
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: what's that next? Nope, nope, nope, what's that to your right?
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: What about that?
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: Yeah? Purpose I got two phones? Kevin Gates. All right, one.
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: Last question, one last question.
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: Let's see if that is a one point six, that's
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: a lot of that's crazy. That's like China and another country.
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: Yeah m hm.
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: Uh ship.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: Uh. Let's end off with with some a little more lighthearted.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: If you can create a holiday, what would it be
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: a holiday? That's a good question. You know what I would,
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: You know what I would easily? I know I would
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: make Black Friday an official holiday and make that today,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: make that Thanksgiving weekend a super long weekend. Hmm okay,
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: because I know my old job or what was my
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: job where you have all Thanksgiving Thursday and then you
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: gotta go there's another words than having off on Thursday
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: and you've gotta go back to work on Friday. No,
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: just making Black Friday a real holiday. But I think
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: it's Black Frida is not even like Black Friday anymore.
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: Nobody does super.
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: Post Thanksgiving Day. I don't care. It's Thanksgiving part Thanksgiving
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: part two. I don't know more thanks I don't know. Yeah,
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: but that would be the day other things that Blackfriter
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: will definitely be a major holiday, easily holiday.
- 1:31:09Speaker 3: I don't know if it's a holiday in America or not.
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: I know it's not a holiday in Indonesia. You know,
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: there's that. There's Mother's Day and Father's Day, but I
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: think Grandmother's Day should be a holiday.
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: Damn so just Grandfather's.
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: No, But we love our We love our grandmothers more.
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: No I meet either one of mine. So what was
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: that I haven't I haven't met any of my grandparents. Oh, okay,
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: I love my grandparents equally. I love them both.
- 1:31:45Speaker 3: I love people love their grandmother's more.
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: Yeah, if we were to choose one than that holiday,
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: it was definitely Grandmother's yeah, but like that, but like
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: that don't just combined with Mother's Day. You got to
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: give them their own separate day, yeah day, yeah? Why not? Yeah?
- 1:32:05Speaker 3: Why not? Because once I know, the grandmother is the
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: mother of this mother, but the role of the grandmother
- 1:32:14Speaker 3: is highly underappreciated.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: That's what you know what an another good holiday? There
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: should be? There should be a holiday. I think there
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: there's holidays like this in other countries. I think in
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: Japan where it's just like a kid's day, a kid's day,
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: like a kid's day, like no matter what you are,
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: all from school this day, like somewhere in the middle
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: of the year, and it's like just stuff for kids,
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: like maybe like there's like amusement parks and stuff like
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: something that's kid focused, like something like you know, a
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: holiday for children almost Christmas, No every Sundays, yeah, I
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: guess because they don't have a job, right, Every Saturday
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: week every weekend is a holiday for them.
- 1:32:55Speaker 4: Yeah, and then they get the gifts on the Christmas
- 1:32:58Speaker 4: they go find some Easter eggs with candy and them
- 1:33:03Speaker 4: for Easter Day.
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: You know what.
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: I want a couple of different things.
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: In the US.
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: I want the Indonesia's independence day to become a public holiday.
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: When is Indonesian public August seventeenth.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: August seventeenth, Yeah, let's.
- 1:33:15Speaker 3: Make it an official American public holiday.
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: Hey, if you can give me a day off for work, sure.
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: So what what's your favorite what's your favorite Indonesian holiday? Oh?
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: Oh? Interesting? Wow, my favorite? I would say, yeah, ed
- 1:33:40Speaker 3: Mubarak okay, okay, because it's it's the last day of
- 1:33:45Speaker 3: the Ramadan. Yes, it's the first day of the Shahwal month.
- 1:33:49Speaker 3: So in Indonesia, the culture is every after we fast
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: for the full month, we go home to our parents
- 1:34:00Speaker 3: house wherever you may work in New York. But when
- 1:34:04Speaker 3: it's when it's we all fly back to our parents'
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: home and everybody and everybody's it's a it's kind of
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: like the the field is kind of like Thanksgiving here.
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's it's it's a big feast.
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, it's a big feast and there's a specific
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: kind of food. That's my favorite.
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: Do you have a favorite American holiday? US holiday? Wow?
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: You got me. There, there's a There are more holidays,
- 1:34:34Speaker 3: that's that's what I know. There are more public holidays
- 1:34:37Speaker 3: in the US than it is in Indonesia.
- 1:34:40Speaker 4: Yeah, because we we we try to make people feel
- 1:34:42Speaker 4: inclusive in adding like certain religious holidays and cultural holidays
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: like oh.
- 1:34:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know, I don't have a specific one.
- 1:34:50Speaker 3: To me, every holiday is a holiday, right right, Okay,
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: I think it is Halloween.
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: It's not it's not technically a hollyday. No, it's just
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: so it's not a day. It's not a day off holiday,
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: but it's a holiday.
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: But my family loves Halloween. No, kids love Halloween, of course,
- 1:35:10Speaker 3: specifically fly back to New York to spend Halloween with
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: the kids. My kids love Halloween.
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: How old are your kids?
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: They're not kids anymore. One is nineteen and one is
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: fourteen as adults.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: Okay, Oh, they love Halloween, but they are different reasons now.
- 1:35:27Speaker 3: They love they love they love it when kids come
- 1:35:30Speaker 3: trick or treating to the house. And my kids both
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: have costumes just to entertain these kids. Yeah, and we
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: go out with costumes and stuff. You know, it's just
- 1:35:39Speaker 3: you know, silly, being silly.
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: Okay, free day for candy, Yeah, I'm always down for that.
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: Now.
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: My my holidays, my favorite holidays is the holidays after
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: holidays that half.
- 1:35:51Speaker 4: Candy, okay, because then you go to the stores. Everything
- 1:35:54Speaker 4: is about fifteen to twenty fifty percent off. So Halloween, yeah,
- 1:35:58Speaker 4: the Valentine's Day, those are my holidays.
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: How many cavities he's ever gotten?
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: How many?
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: I don't know, but I know I probably have a
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: few more now. I've had about seven root canals.
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: That's crazy. Yeah, really you really love sugar.
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: It's candy. He's a big candy Guy's would be surprised
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: the one who loves candy out of the two of
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: us is him?
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: Really, I don't know what it is. And it's just
- 1:36:31Speaker 4: like just gounna be candy. It's just it's just just stuff.
- 1:36:34Speaker 4: If it sticks to your teeth.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: I mean the worst, the one that real teeth, that's
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: the one I like.
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: And the thing is it's not surface like I just
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: don't floss as much as I should.
- 1:36:46Speaker 4: I'm better at it now, but it's just like like
- 1:36:49Speaker 4: there's been times when I've fallen asleep with candy in
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: my mouth and waking up finished eating it.
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: That's crazy, yes, bro, Yeah, just just.
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: Just like oh.
- 1:37:03Speaker 2: Dad, Yeah, I've done.
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: To it.
- 1:37:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I've done it multiple times.
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: So did you did you have a holiday? Keenan? If
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: I can make a holiday, uh, ship. I would make
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: a holiday.
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: Where Grandmother's dayment, it's not bad at all.
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: It's not bad. But my my holiday would would would
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: essentially be some way to like force like your corporate
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: office to like pay you more that day.
- 1:37:41Speaker 4: Like so like if if like something like like like
- 1:37:45Speaker 4: like these these corporations needs to start giving out more money,
- 1:37:48Speaker 4: so like my holiday will probably be something along the
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: lines of your job.
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: Sounds like a subliminal message to somebody. No no, no,
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: to a certain a certain Polynesian.
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: It's just most like like the cost of shit is
- 1:38:06Speaker 4: crazy right now, like like prices gas is the cost
- 1:38:11Speaker 4: of your first born.
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: Like it's it's stupid, No it is.
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: And I ran the numbers. These companies are just sitting
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: on money and filling in their pockets. Like I watched
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: the video of how a company spread out a million
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: dollar bonus to the point where like everybody got like
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: eighty cents. No, it was like the top two people
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: got like fucking like two and fifty thousand dollars and
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: then like eight people got like one hundred something or well, however, however,
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: they broke it and then like the remaining people split
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: the rest and they got like seven hundred fifty dollars.
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: That's that's that sounds like like like what the fuck
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: is that? Evil capitalism?
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: Like, what the fuck is that?
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: Like you're already up here.
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: You don't need that bone. No, yeah, you don't need
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: that bone.
- 1:38:56Speaker 3: Get it.
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: You're yeah, they don't need more money.
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: They don't need it, and it's like they have money
- 1:39:02Speaker 3: already exactly.
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: More than they will ever hope to spend.
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: My holiday would would be along the lines of like,
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: your your job has to pay well, this is this
- 1:39:11Speaker 4: x amount of flip you're calling it wealth distribution day. Yeah, actually,
- 1:39:17Speaker 4: you you know what my holiday would be the bottom
- 1:39:21Speaker 4: tier person like like, however the ladder goes, it just flips,
- 1:39:26Speaker 4: So the bottom tier is making, but the top person
- 1:39:28Speaker 4: makes the top person making or they just have their job.
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: And then I would just be like I have authority.
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: It's like I'm diverting all the money to this specific
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: bank account which only have access to. Yeah, I wouldn't
- 1:39:39Speaker 1: do that. It's illegal that it's legal that I would
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: just flip the ladder.
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: I would flip the up ladder. That's my holiday.
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: Yeah, So for the people on the top, it's like
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: giving giving You'll see how much.
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: You'll see how much you're actually paying these people, all right,
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: because for that day you ain't getting shipped. Now this
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: is this last question might get you in trouble, but
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna ask you anyway. Now, there's a scenario that
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: was a scenario that was posed to us. If you
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: could any person in the world, if you could physically
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: beat them up and take all their money. Who do
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: you think? Who would you do that you could if
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: you could beat them up? I have all your wealth.
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: Now who is that person?
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: Bill Gates?
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: You think you can beat the Bill Gates?
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: I know I can't beat Zuckerbert. He did resilient jiu jitsu.
- 1:40:32Speaker 3: Man I took karate class and mezzos look jacked.
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: He looks jack. I'm gonna tell you that I have
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: someone who did karate for many years. That shit is
- 1:40:43Speaker 1: bullshit because there is a like karate and martinal arts,
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: like if you can really like beat people up thing
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: like I guess in America that I don't know how
- 1:40:55Speaker 1: they practicing a different country, but in America karate and
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: all that just bullshit. Because I took right for many years,
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: and there was a black belt that has been a
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: black belt ever since. I started there every other week.
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: He was coming by with a black guy because he asked.
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: So I was choked by a Brazilian jiu jitsu instructor once,
- 1:41:14Speaker 3: So I don't know. I don't miss the door. I don't.
- 1:41:18Speaker 3: I don't believe that he he is a Brazilian, he's
- 1:41:21Speaker 3: a he's a cousin of mine.
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: I believe.
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: He told me we haven't met for quite a while.
- 1:41:29Speaker 3: We met at that thing, and I was like, uh,
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: what's up with you? Oh yeah, I'm a I just
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: I was the the jury was it? I don't know
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: what the word is in English for this Brazilian the judge. Yeah,
- 1:41:44Speaker 3: for the Brazilan jiu jitsu competition. I'm like, you do
- 1:41:47Speaker 3: Brazilian jiu jitsu? You don't believe me?
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: And he we pustled for a little bit, yeah, and then.
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: Choked out door. Yeah.
- 1:41:59Speaker 3: Man, I don't mess with Brazilian jiu jitsu.
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: Man, you know what that sounds like? He was just die.
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: There's certain finding styles that that you don't fu.
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: Yeah, man, Krav my God.
- 1:42:10Speaker 2: We're gonna leave that alone.
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: Prova God is rarely propaganda.
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: You know you're gonna get Okay, listen, you gotta get
- 1:42:22Speaker 3: a dozen kra my gun athletes.
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: If somebody walked through to me and said, oh, I
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: do karate, I'm like, I don't give a Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: karate is only effective when you're finding somebody else's doing
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: the bugs. Bunny did karate, okay, but somebody talking about
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: Brazilian jiu jitsu. Nobody just whips out Brazilian jiu jitsu
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: out that. I'm being like, you got it, But it
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: sounds like you're fine. It sounds like your cousin was
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: just waiting to choke somebody out and you just having
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: to ask him. He's like, you don't believe me. He
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: just he said that too quick, like I'll show you
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: and then.
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: But he was really quick with this movies. He was like,
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: I was like going like this and.
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: He's doing it.
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: Well, get you a gift for this holiday.
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: If you don't help help, Grandmother's Day is canceled. If
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: you don't get him to stop joking.
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: Me the police. Yeah, all right, guys, the ship, I
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: gotta look it up.
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: Well, once you said, all you know is time to go.
