- 0:00Well, there's a new trend out there, Amanda that if you would consider
- 0:04yourself a lazy girl, a lazy girl, I don't think so. I
- 0:09mean I wish I was a lazy girl sometimes because I was just sexy.
- 0:13My husband, I'm my gosh, can't wait to see the family. It's
- 0:16just been one of those busy weeks, you know, where you're just like
- 0:18NonStop. I know, we got together for Halloween and all that, but
- 0:21life's crazy. Well, I mean, maybe you need to find yourself what
- 0:24they're calling a lazy girl job. Now, it's becoming more and more popular
- 0:29for women everywhere. I mean, this has gone viral. Excited about this,
- 0:32hearing it. It's a whole viral TikTok trend. Lazy girl jobs where
- 0:35women who are burnt out of their current job, which is a very high
- 0:38percentage, even higher than men. According to the survey, twenty five percent
- 0:42of men say they're burnt out, but women it's a staggering sixty nine percent
- 0:46of all personages. Really yeah, so they're finding the jobs that basically require
- 0:51the least possible work. For a lot of women, these jobs aligned with
- 0:54their goals and purpose while also enabling them to achieve that infamous work life balance,
- 1:00got it lazy girl job? So obviously, to be fair, there's
- 1:03a lot of people that probably think I have a lazy girl job. And
- 1:07except for the people that go, do you really wake up at three thirty
- 1:11am every single day? And I still see you at six o'clock at night
- 1:15and you're still just go, go, go, go go. I mean
- 1:17that's the toll of this job, you know, is where you're not many
- 1:21lazy people are getting up at three thirty correct, Yes, yes, yes,
- 1:23yes, But I feel like it also offers a very good work life
- 1:26balance, sure, I mean going to the grocery store at two in the
- 1:30afternoon when nobody else is there. My husband would differ when he says,
- 1:34I can't deal with these attitudes and wiping up dog poop every morning much longer.
- 1:38And your daughter, he's saying this right now, yep, is throwing
- 1:42a fit over these boots. Oh no, well, what's wrong with the
- 1:46boots? I think she wants to wear them in their new boots. She's
- 1:49not supposed to wear them to school. They're supposed to be for special occasions.
- 1:52Holiday boots. You got your daughter holiday boots now again? Man?
- 1:57I hate to give you any parent that's a person, have any kids,
- 2:00But do we need the holiday boots? Okay, so it's just a long
- 2:07term what kind of what kind of adult do you become when you grew up
- 2:09with holiday boots? Let's think about it for a second. I mean they're
- 2:15specially okay, Okay, you just imagine somebody you just know the type.
- 2:23Oh my god, she's totally holiday boots king. Yeah, oh gosh,
- 2:29I get it. I get it. I get it. Anyway, Honey,
- 2:31that's your holiday hat. What do you do? What do you think?
- 2:34Are you crazy? Well, there's just things that you don't wear every
- 2:37day, Pike. Maybe holiday boots wasn't the right choice of work. I
- 2:40get like having you know, a nice outfit or whatever for special you know,
- 2:44like a funeral suit or you know, I got one suit I wear
- 2:46to weddings or whatever, but got yes boots for a four year old?
- 2:52Okay, fine, I get it anyway. Right anyway, So going back
- 2:54to the lazy girl situation where it's, yeah, it sounds like your husband
- 2:59is just going through it and here you are just working. So find yourself
- 3:00a lazy girl job in his life that he's doing, right, now find
- 3:04a job that you start at ten am. And this is not me trying
- 3:06to push you out. That sounds like you are anybody anybody want to wake
- 3:09up with three thirty and work with bike? What a treat? Give me
- 3:13even an example of what kind of job that would be that's actually giving you
- 3:17money. Well, I mean that's the that's the trade off. I think
- 3:22not many lazy girl jobs aren't pain. Yeah, you're not gonna be buying
- 3:25holiday boots from a lazy girl job, like anday in the morning, Big
- 3:29nainety eight point seven, Yesterday was not so lovely, Amanda. I don't
- 3:31know if pathetic is the right word to use for where we've come as a
- 3:37civilization. Oh boy, but I sure felt pathetic yesterday. I got home
- 3:42in the afternoon and I had gotten email that the power was out at our
- 3:46place. That's a bummer, right, So they're doing some work whatever happens,
- 3:49And so I'm like, going, well, I can put up with
- 3:50it, for you know, I just got a few hours here to kill
- 3:52before we got to go to Winos. Well, then I realized my phone
- 3:54is at one percent. So as I get home, literally as I'm walking
- 3:59in the door, what were you do eat on the phone that it was
- 4:00at one percent. There's none of your business, and that's that's crazy all
- 4:04in itself. Anyway, my screen time is impressive. If you saw my
- 4:10weekly reports, you would be impressed. I hate when you get the weekly
- 4:14report. Nothing makes me like you look at it like, oh no,
- 4:16please tell me I was down from last week? Like, is there is
- 4:19there? Was I even awake for that many hours? How is that even
- 4:23possible? So I get home and well, of course one percent, it
- 4:26turns to zero percent. I got the black screen as I'm walking in the
- 4:30door. Done don dunnah. And imagine you're in this situation. I'm in
- 4:33an apartment with no power, there's no TV, Amanda, my phone is
- 4:38off. Literally I'm in the wild West. It sounds pretty relaxing, is
- 4:43that right? Yeah? You just snuggled right up and fell asleep, right,
- 4:46couldn't. I can't fall asleep if I don't have one a fan,
- 4:49if I I have to be listening to something a podcast, I have to
- 4:53have the TV on. So then that's my first realization is I'm tired,
- 4:57but I can't sleep. Wow, because I heard anxiety as through the roof.
- 5:00I'm shaking. I feel like I'm like just in a third world country.
- 5:04I mean, really realizing how pathetic I've become. I was gonna say,
- 5:08do you know how ridiculous you sound right now? You know? Is
- 5:11this an hour? It was three hours of the long. It felt like
- 5:14an eternity. I now know what it's like to be in prison, and
- 5:16not just a normal prison, but like in isolation. Okay, solitary confined,
- 5:21That's what it was. And how many times I went up and like
- 5:24pressed the power button on the TV? How much? How many times I
- 5:27flipped my phone over a man? I didn't even know what time it was?
- 5:31My wife? Is that is brutal? My wife gets home, she
- 5:34opens the door. I had to have looked like somebody who had been missing
- 5:39for years and they finally found him. I'm shaking money, and my first
- 5:43thing I opened my eyes and go, what time is it? I literally
- 5:46had no I knew I had to be somewhere at four. I'm like,
- 5:48is it six o'clock right now? Three o'clock? The man of the Sun,
- 5:53I can't tell I get a man in the morning. Ninety seven George
- 5:58Jason, I have so many promises growing up of you know, flying houses
- 6:03and flying cars. Don't you remember it feeling like we were just right there.
- 6:09If you would have told me in nineteen ninety eight, as I was
- 6:11sitting in my basement watching WWF Plane Nintendo that by twenty twenty three we wouldn't
- 6:16have flying cars, I'd just said, you're crazy, you see, And
- 6:20to me it's the opposite. I feel like we don't need that. We
- 6:25already have enough crazy technology and stuff going on. I don't know, Amanda,
- 6:29just trying to hold back civilization. I know I'm crazy. Well here's
- 6:32the old school. I don't know why we're not with horse and buggies.
- 6:38Well that's not a bad option either. Well, much to Amanda's disdain,
- 6:44the California company has created a UFO like model of a vehicle that yes flies,
- 6:50Really are you laying down in this bad boy? Or how does it
- 6:54work? No, it's looking like a normal cart. Now it's really cool
- 6:57in futuristic looking. The vehicle is almost like sea, except for the part
- 7:00that you're in. Now. It's seventeen feet long, fits in most garages.
- 7:03They say the cost is going to be about two hundred and eighty six
- 7:08thousand dollars. But this company wowed everybody recently in Detroit. They have their
- 7:13car industry show. Okay, and so they made this big reveal. Now
- 7:16they say this vehicle, it's still not the final consumer version, the one
- 7:19that will be driving, not you, Amanda, no no, but at
- 7:23this point they say it is pretty close. First of all, they say
- 7:26that this would basically give you the option to drive on land like normal.
- 7:30Yeah. But then let's say you're in like a traffic jam situation. So
- 7:32how does this work? Though? This is what I've never understood, because
- 7:36how are you going to take off? Do you need a certain amount of
- 7:41like landing strip? Was he tarmac takeoff area? Or does it just go
- 7:46right up in the air? Correct? Yeah, it's not like you need.
- 7:48It's not like an airplane here. So that's one question. You'll be
- 7:51able to Basically in a traffic jam, you just I'm guessing, hit a
- 7:54button and you like lift up, you go up, so you're on.
- 7:57You're a rocket sort of like a drone. It operates much like a drone
- 8:01where you can quickly maneuver. Now, the big question in my concern is
- 8:05howy spin Who's regulating what's going on in this in the air well, that's
- 8:09just it. I don't see the FAA approving this ever. And then also
- 8:13the police. So now the police should be the first ones that have flying
- 8:16cars, right, think about just the other day, I'm on nine ninety
- 8:20four, here's an ambulance comment in people for some reason in the Year of
- 8:22Our Lord twenty twenty three. Still don't understand that you need to get out
- 8:26of the way. No, I'm an emergency. Yes, Oh, it's
- 8:28not actually going to come this way. I'm not am I in the way?
- 8:33Oh you're trying to get around me. See there. I would be
- 8:35completely on board with it. But then also you had mentioned seventeen feet you
- 8:39can park it in your garage. Why would you want it in your garage
- 8:41if you can just I just have it floating outside of my house. What
- 8:45I mean? It has a battery life, they say it only lasts.
- 8:48You can go two hundred miles on ground in one hundred and ten miles in
- 8:50air in flight distance. Okay, So can you just set it on top
- 8:54of your house? Well, if you want, but you know, I
- 8:56don't know. I just want a nice clean garage. Did you get into
- 8:58a walm car this morning? Sure? Did? Good point pretty nice,
- 9:01right. I'm guessing they have that figured out as well. And I don't
- 9:05know though, because it's colder. As you go up, well how high
- 9:07are you going to go? The higher you go, you don't need to
- 9:09get that high. You just need to get above the vehicles. But then
- 9:13once you get up in the air, first of all, people don't know
- 9:15how to drive on land. Now we're going to be up in the air.
- 9:16Wait, who's going to regulate that? Sounds like you're gonna have to
- 9:20take a course. And this leads me back to we just got to get
- 9:24back to the horse and buggy pals. She loves old technology, just loves
- 9:28old stuff. Already ready Let's see is typing hot today? And now Amanda
- 9:35stills the sea Let's see. Britney Spears is officially a best selling author.
- 9:41Her book already sold one point one million copies in the first week. She
- 9:46jumped down to Twitter yesterday and said, thank you all. It means a
- 9:50world to me that you guys are supporting me. I poured my heart and
- 9:52soul into this book and I am so grateful to my fans and readers around
- 9:56the world for their unwavering support. I also love it the media is just
- 10:01leaning into the fact that Justin Timberlake fled the country to go to Mexico.
- 10:05Have you seen this? Did he really he went to Mexico with his family.
- 10:09It could have been a planned vacation, but they're acting like he fled
- 10:11the country. The last report I saw, he's been locked on his phone
- 10:15the whole vacation. I mean, come on, locked on it really like
- 10:18he can't get enough of the feedback or what because I think I might turn
- 10:22the phone off? Yeah, Or do you think he's like on the phone
- 10:24with this publicist probably like gosh, where am I going to go from here?
- 10:28I think it's all just a fake story. I think in a week
- 10:33we'll probably have forgotten about it, and then he'll come out and he'll be
- 10:35fine and enjoy Mexico. Yeah. Right. And there are also a lot
- 10:41of people breaking down Travis Kelsey's finances. So he makes about thirty million dollars
- 10:45or I guess he's worth thirty million dollars. But since he's been dating Taylor
- 10:48Swift instantly you're living in a totally different lifestyle. That's just the reality of
- 10:52it. It's crazy to think that somebody with thirty million dollars is you know,
- 10:56the lesser. You know, I can't afford certain things that the other
- 10:58person can. Well, there are people going over the fact that not only
- 11:01did he used to be a frat boy, that's kind of the way they're
- 11:05referring to his lifestyle before he met Taylor. I mean, he's a single
- 11:09guy in the NFL, like doing your whole lot. You're at the stadium
- 11:11or the practice facility, the whole the all day. So it's like,
- 11:15who cares he just go home and crash. You're just doing your thing right,
- 11:16And let's be fair, his pad that he was crashing in pre Taylor
- 11:22Swift is probably nicer than most of our homes, to be one hundred percent
- 11:24fair. Probably not the nicest home in Fargo, but you know, like
- 11:26a decent home out you know, south of fifty second Avenue something like that.
- 11:31Maybe, well he did get that new place, and they're saying he's
- 11:35been about fifty five percent of his annual salary to get this new pad.
- 11:39I guess keep his privacy a little bit as well. But people have to
- 11:43remember Travis Kelsey, even before Taylor Swift was becoming famous in front of the
- 11:48world with the super Bowl, all of those things, so she just added
- 11:52a lot to it. I just don't think he's going to be in financial
- 11:56ruins because he's also making a ton of money. He's on every commercial.
- 12:00It feels like totally now his career is almost over. So you got a
- 12:03plan for the rest of your life, which hopefully is many, many years.
- 12:07But I totally get it. You know, sometimes we're trying to impress
- 12:09a lady. You spend money you don't have. I mean, like again,
- 12:13early twenties, spiking how many time my card got declined at the old
- 12:15Broadway trying to buy around the shots because that was a big, big,
- 12:18big work in radio. Game you were you were hoping for the two dollars
- 12:22you call it night. You're telling me the penny deal is over at nine.
- 12:28I take it back. I take it back. Everybody, come to
- 12:31my house, guys, my card's now where it must be a machine issue.
- 12:35I got money, I promise I do. I just bought gas,
- 12:39like oh, oh, oh gosh. Matthew Perry's death was not the effect
- 12:43of fetanol or meth overdose. We do know that. Of course, it's
- 12:46still going to be about three or four months before they can tell us exactly
- 12:48how it all went down. In other news, I loved this story so
- 12:52much. John Stayle's paid tribute to Matthew Perry on Instagram yesterday, hearing a
- 12:56scene from the ninth season of Friends where he just showed up on the set
- 12:58as ah, what's the word I'm looking for? Not an extra, not
- 13:03an extra, but just uh special guest. Exactly, thank you, So
- 13:09he said, I'm standing backstage ready to make my entrance, and Matthew Perry
- 13:13whispers, the audience is going to go crazy when they see you. Get
- 13:16ready for loud screams. I walked through the door, silent nothing. I
- 13:22was so embarrassed, John Stamos says. I recall Matthew Perry just kind of
- 13:28looking at me. As soon as I was done, I walked off.
- 13:31He said, we finished the scene. I was ready to quit showbiz.
- 13:33He walks over to the studio audience and Matthew Perry said, ladies and gentlemen,
- 13:39give it up for John Stamos. You guys probably didn't recognize him for
- 13:41at first, because well, he's much better looking in person. I never
- 13:46forgot that, and the world will never forget you. What a sweet thing.
- 13:50I know, I forgot what episode Stamos was on on Friends. I
- 13:52know you weren't a big fan. No, this does not just because of
- 13:56that, but after years now, even since reunion, I've got to at
- 14:01least take a peek. Absolutely, And it reminds me of this whole thing
- 14:03with Matthew Perry. He was the one who got Bruce Willis to do his
- 14:07whole guest appearance on the show. He was a character. Yeah, because
- 14:11apparently they weren't a movie together. I forget the name of it. It
- 14:13was the longest, not the longest anyway. He basically made a bet with
- 14:18Bruce Willis said, Hey, this movie is going to be a success,
- 14:20and if it is, you got to come on our show for free.
- 14:24And Bruce will Is like, yeah, this movie is gonna be terrible.
- 14:26Oh that's really cool. That funny like a minute in the morning on Big
- 14:31Nutty eight points seven. You suspected thing when you hear that telephone room by
- 14:39friend looks lucky number. This lesson by freend Sunny again arrested bags. We
- 14:48got an Instagram message from a woman who said her husband she put in charge
- 14:52of the candy this year for Halloween to hand out to the kids, you
- 14:54know. Yeah, and I guess he went totally cheap, like super generic
- 14:58stuff stuff she's never even heard. It. Sounds like this guy is deserving
- 15:01of this one, I think. So. All right, all right,
- 15:05let's get serious. Sorry, Hello, Hey, is this Josh? Yeah,
- 15:13this is Josh. Hey, Josh, Detective Kneecaps down here at the
- 15:16Fargo Police Department. Mind if I ask you a couple of questions? Sure,
- 15:22what's up? Hey, I'm investigating a string of illnesses that's arisen in
- 15:28your neighborhood, specifically regarding some sick children. Ring a bell, some sick
- 15:33children. I haven't heard of anything, but what's going on? Well,
- 15:37in short after Halloween night, there were several reports of children feeling ill,
- 15:43and we have reason to believe it may be because of some low grade,
- 15:46cheap candy that may or may not have been given out on your block.
- 15:52Really, you've narrowed it down to my block. I have reason to believe.
- 15:56Yes, Wow, I'm I'm really sorry to hear about the kids are
- 16:02thick. But I don't know, Josh, what you want from me?
- 16:03Josh, you mind sharing with me what candy you may have given out on
- 16:07Halloween night? I mean you know, it was just the usual goodies and
- 16:12here to name some names? Sure? What did I have that? Some
- 16:17like necho a wafers and Awa? Yeah, Choco choose. I'm sorry,
- 16:26Choco chick. I've never heard of that. What is a choco chew?
- 16:29What is that? It's like a different kind of tootsi role, different kind
- 16:33or cheap version. I mean it's it's basically the same thing. Maybe it
- 16:37costs a dollar less. I don't know. Well, it's just had a
- 16:40tootsy role. It's generally about as cheap as candy as you can get.
- 16:42But yet you managed to find a cheaper version. Is that right? Well
- 16:45that's what the store had, so I wrote with that. Interesting. Well,
- 16:49Josh, I'm going to be blunt with you. You are our main
- 16:52suspect, given the information I've received from you today, would you be willing
- 16:57to come down to the station and answer a few more quiess for us,
- 17:00like to get an official statement if we could? I think I could just
- 17:03do that over the phone, right, I don't think. Well, it's
- 17:06gonna be a slew of of things. We're going to have you do a
- 17:10lie detector test. Also gets you set up with a candy lineup, and
- 17:14so we're gonna need to come down to the station. I'm gonna have to
- 17:15have you come downtown a candy lineup. What the hell does that even mean?
- 17:19A candy You'll find out what you get here. I can't say anymore
- 17:22net ask you. I'm sure first of all the kids that the candy was
- 17:29delicious, so I don't think I really have an issue. And also,
- 17:32like, how sick were these kids? Well, we have reports of several
- 17:36of the kids reporting upset tummies. It's very serious upset tummies. The police
- 17:41are investigating some upset tummies. I thought it was like food poisoning. It's
- 17:45a very serious matter. We take all cases equally as serious, and it's
- 17:49a very upset tummies from these kids, and we just want to make sure
- 17:52that we get the right guy in prison. Prison. Yeah, that's it,
- 18:00what's happening. It's not happening. You're not going to prison. It's
- 18:03Pike and Amanda in the morning on Big ninety eight point seventy. We're just
- 18:06kidding more Pike than the Amanda to be the arresting officer. We do a
- 18:11morning radio show, and we heard from your wife said that you were a
- 18:15little cheap this year when she put you in charge of the candy, and
- 18:18she's been giving you a hard time, so she wanted us to prank call
- 18:22you wow. So she stole me out. She sold you out so quick,
- 18:26dude. I love it better. Better at least it with you guys
- 18:29and not the actual police. Gee. Now, I don't think it's a
- 18:33crime to hand out cheap candy. It's just you know, gross nothing wroll
- 18:36candy candy. I mean, come on, shocko, choose, Come on
- 18:40now, come on, some people like them. It looked like the same
- 18:42candy, just a different wrapper or whatever. Pike it Amanda in the morning,
- 18:48Come on, get up on Big eight seven trending. Now here's what
- 18:53you need to know. Well, Pike, I think you can agree.
- 18:56Yesterday was pretty amazing and we wrapped up braws on Big ninety point seven.
- 19:00Our friends over at Corwin Automotive Group and DS Beverages popped into the studio and
- 19:03they had two big old giant checks. Yes, incredible, truly, I
- 19:07mean, I mean twenty thousand dollars from DS Beverages. After all the Mikkelibultra
- 19:12and the Cranberry Neutral sales over the month and twenty thousand dollars from Corwin because
- 19:17of all the broad donations ten dollars per Broad. Do the math. I
- 19:19mean, that's incredible. Yes, it was so great, and they were
- 19:22able to give those checks directly to the Essential Health Foundations. So we all
- 19:26went over to Essentia yesterday into the cancer center and just seeing the people that
- 19:30are on the front lines and how much we know what means to them because
- 19:33they're the ones that are giving these people these diagnoses of cancer, which is
- 19:37just gut wrenching. But then to be able to offer them a gas card
- 19:41for a little relief, or maybe it's a woman who is losing their hair
- 19:44and getting them a wig, just helping them through the process of it.
- 19:48It's just great. Well to literally see nurses with tears in their eyes because
- 19:52of this donation because it's not just a job for them, you know,
- 19:56it means a lot. So thank you all for helping and once again stepping
- 19:59up and showing why the Old Farka Ward community is the best. Yes,
- 20:03it's Soliday season, so it's the most wonderful time of year, and so
- 20:08does Mariah Carey and I love she's playing into this. Everybody knows her song.
- 20:14And on Instagram yesterday she had posted a video of herself in like a
- 20:18vault and then she was in a huge ice cube and it was being defrosted
- 20:23by Halloween character. I mean, this is like a full movie production.
- 20:26It was. She's every year after years, she's getting more and more,
- 20:30just like embracing the meme, and this was like a full on production.
- 20:33I'm not saying this is all she has, but at this point you got
- 20:36to own it. I mean, without the Christmas song on her own merit.
- 20:41She's had a pretty good career. Yeah, one of the greats.
- 20:42But she's a little pitchy and beware your ears are gonna hurt. This is
- 20:47how it goes. It's it's not pitch. I mean, that's incredible that
- 20:57she can hit that note. That's always been her thing. You remember,
- 21:00though, was it three years ago? Two years ago she was at Rockefeller
- 21:03Plaza singing it was It was a little cont she had a bad day,
- 21:08okay, Amanda. I hope that's the case, because she is going back
- 21:11out on tour. I would love to see her through the holidays. That
- 21:14would be great. She's not coming to the Fargo area to my knowledge,
- 21:17but if I could see her total bucket list, but I want to see
- 21:22you know, the old school all right, Carrie, Oh she still got
- 21:25it. I felt that one bad performance to tourry Okay, fair, fair,
- 21:29fair, And we can't forget about Thanksgiving and do Giorna wants to make
- 21:32sure everybody knows Thanksgiving us happening. And they're going to make this new pizza.
- 21:36You can buy it, pop it in the oven so you don't have
- 21:38to order it or anything. It's Doorna. Isn't that delivery? No Doorno
- 21:42pizza I'm making. It's the old commercial. It's not delivery, It'sorno,
- 21:47Amanda. What are you a big dumb dumb? Well, that may be
- 21:52true, remember the commercials. Go ahead, it asks turkey, gravy,
- 21:59dice, potatoes, green beans, cranberry cheese, and then it has And
- 22:03this gets me every time. I love French onions, all the crispy on
- 22:07top. That's what gets me to green bean casserole. But I also put
- 22:10it on salad. Anyway, I'm so hungry. I think that sounds pretty
- 22:12decent. That sounds like Thanksgiving on a pizza. Yeah, if anybody sees
- 22:15it at a store, I'm gonna go look for it. But that's one
- 22:18I want to bring in here. We gotta try that maybe. I mean,
- 22:19honestly, it sounds like a lot less work than I know. My
- 22:22stepmom gets up at three am or whatever to throw that turkey, And why
- 22:26not just bring a digiorno? Why do I feel like you're going to like
- 22:30for afterwards too, you know, everybody, if there's not a lot of
- 22:33leftovers, this would be a great midday football snack. That's absolutely all right.
- 22:38Weather it is today a gonna be cloudy, high of about forty
