- 0:23may began, I'm jig comes, it comes a moth. Is it just
- 0:37I'm a doing I'm gonna go on the way you made Bill began. Welcome,
- 0:43Welcome, Welcome, you're listening to the Sports Shock Show. I am
- 0:49the Sports Shock Waingne Candy, Good morning to you. As we march into
- 0:54March madness. The fields are set the next three weeks, the weekends will
- 1:00be booked up uh and you will get to see some of the finest college
- 1:04basketball of the season. A big war. Eagle to my Auburn Tigers cutting
- 1:11down the nets winning the SEC championship. Shout out to the Carolina tar Heels
- 1:19cutting down the nets as well. The Howard Bison. Y'all didn't cut the
- 1:27nets down at the list down all that bragging. Remember, did y'all get
- 1:33the text? What he was bragging about? Due losing? He don't ever
- 1:38get tired of it? I thought that was Wait, wait was that a
- 1:42text that had a clip of a choir singing had a choir singing the Mississippi
- 1:49Mass Choir. I'm sorry out there, my listening audience. The bad producer
- 1:56sent me this clip with the Mississippi Mass choir singing saying he never gets tired,
- 2:02and I thought it was referencing that North Carolina had won the ACC because
- 2:09there was so much joy in it, I just blindly took it for faith.
- 2:13Oh okay, they won the ACC. I was so, you're saying,
- 2:17bad producer that North Carolina ended up doing the same thing Duke did and
- 2:23not win the ACC. We didn't win the ACC tournament, No, sir,
- 2:28we didn't. Oh okay, Well, I need to hold your clips
- 2:32to the end. I have an egg on my things because I shared it
- 2:37with somebody like Carolina did it again. They must have did it, and
- 2:39must have did it because it was in the middle of the night, too
- 2:46late night that he said it. I never get tired. They don't need
- 2:50it for me. Looking waiting on the highlights, I already know the outcome,
- 2:53only to find out this morning that the Carolina Tarrios didn't win the ACC
- 2:57either, So they're in the same boat. Is Duke so kind of yeah,
- 3:02kind of throwing the show off. But any of you that have made
- 3:06the tourney, congratulations, uh men and women. The women tournament starts on
- 3:10Wednesday, the men start on Thursday. They sent my team all the way
- 3:15to Spokane, Washington. I don't know how that says congratulations for winning the
- 3:23CEC. I'm gonna send you the farthest place. I'm saying, give you
- 3:28from Cavern, Alabama. We're gonna give your chance to travel. You can't
- 3:30get any farther. You know what's in Spokane, Washington. Fish they got
- 3:39a lot of good fishing up. I got a lot of good. They
- 3:44got a lot of good everything in Spokane, Washington, they got a lot
- 3:47of good. They defund the police and Spokane, which is another reason to
- 3:52go. You gonna travel somewhere, might as well go somewhere where they don't
- 3:58have cop I was like, Okay, we win the tournament. We won
- 4:03over twenty five game. Surely we'll be somewhere in the south or the east.
- 4:11They sent us to the farthest reaches of the tournament, all the way
- 4:15out the Spokane. Whether they send the Carolina tar Hills out west also out
- 4:18west as well. Now we always talk about how these conferences manipulate and manufacture
- 4:29matchups and send Was this intentional to send the Auburn fan base in the Auburn
- 4:36brand and the Carolina brand, which is super strong here in the southeast and
- 4:44the northern portion of the country out west to be exposed, or you think
- 4:50that was intentional, lo Ord, it was just lucky to draw. I
- 4:54think I've never really understood bracketology as far as how they set it up,
- 5:00you know, I don't. I forgot how why they got around the sixty
- 5:02eight teams. It was sixty four forever, and then they added four teams
- 5:08with some kind of play in thing. Uh to I guess play kate commandchie
- 5:14Greg Vega said, look, we don't. And yeah they playing Dayton too,
- 5:23for some French reason. They go Dayton, Ohio to play. I
- 5:26got the reason why they added those teams was, but I always thought it
- 5:30would be and everything should center around trying to set teams up where the fan
- 5:34bases can get to them. Not necessarily just right outside your window, but
- 5:41it should be where they could at least consider as much as possible. But
- 5:46for you to send Auburn and Yale to play it, that's Auburn's first round
- 5:50opponent in Spokane, Washington. That means, in my imagination, both of
- 5:57those fans bases are watching from TV and see I was gonna say, you
- 6:01be the first round. It's one thing if it was like the semi finals
- 6:04or something where it starts getting you know, the thicker, but first round.
- 6:11But with the with the first round, North Carolina is playing in Charlotte.
- 6:16The first two rounds are in Charlotte, but they get to the sweet
- 6:19sixteen, they went out to LA. I thought, you said, yeah,
- 6:23we're in the West, the West region. He doesn't know we're in
- 6:27the West region. So the first the first two rounds, they're not always
- 6:30in like the same area country. So they're playing in Charlotte. But then
- 6:35in the sweet sixteen they go to LA. But they said, y'all actually
- 6:40too Spokane, because like you said, most of the Spokane Spokane. Well
- 6:45bad. You said they were sitting y'all out west. We're in the West.
- 6:48We're out west, and it's the West region. I mean, that's
- 6:54what it says. You're missing it. I didn't say Auburn was in the
- 6:58East. I said Auburn was going to Spokes Spokane, Washington. He said
- 7:04they were specifically going to Spokane, and then I know they're in the East
- 7:08bracket. They sent them to I asked them where they sent North Carolina.
- 7:12I only brought that back up because I thought he was about to tell me
- 7:15a West coast city. So North Carolina is playing in North Carolina. It's
- 7:21awkward again. It's kind of awkward, is what you're telling me, Comanche.
- 7:27Yes, the North Carolina tar Heels, who did not win the ACC
- 7:31is playing in North Carolina. There's still a one seed. They're playing in
- 7:36North Carolina. Yeah, for the first two rounds. But Auburn who won
- 7:43the SEC. See, you gotta always you can't start in where you want
- 7:46to. You always have to start in from the beginning of the conversation and
- 7:50go down with the person. That's what we were literally talking about the punishment
- 7:57of we won the SEC and got shipped off to Siberia across the country.
- 8:03As far as like saying with North Carolina, if they start off east and
- 8:07then they go west for the Sweet sixteen, with Auburn, they make her
- 8:09into the sweet sixteen, they're in the East region. You back home,
- 8:13you're in a tournament where when you lose, you're out, and so that
- 8:18means I got to get too victory. You lose, you're out. There
- 8:24is no tomorrow. That's the greatness of the tournament. But you keep going
- 8:28with the butt. Everybody keep having to It's not a butt. You're saying,
- 8:33North Carolina, after they win two games, then they'll get on a
- 8:37plane and go west. It's if they win two games, not after.
- 8:43It's if they win two games. And let me ask you, is that
- 8:46what you're saying. Yes, Okay, so you're a future futuristic person because
- 8:52I'm still where we are wise geographically, they might not have to go nowhere.
- 9:00So it's if they lose, correct sports jot uh? Can I ask
- 9:05you something? You said that you thought it was unfair that Yale and Auburn
- 9:09have to go to like Spokane as Baptist calls at Washington because the fan base
- 9:16it can't access them readily. Do you think that the NCAA do you think
- 9:20that the people that are selling college basketball want to paint the game as a
- 9:26national game. You don't have to be from Auburn to appreciate this. We
- 9:33that's who we're selling it to TV. Like if you get a ticket to
- 9:37it. Fine, it's a lot of us that won't even be there and
- 9:39we Yeah, I think they dumped I think they dumped us over there with
- 9:43the mindset that Yale was not going to send any fans anyway, right,
- 9:48do they have any This is a bracket in a city that we made a
- 9:52deal with to have attorney and we'll just send this group of people over here
- 10:00to facilitate this. That's how I really and that's who is playing Yale in
- 10:05the first round. That that's going to be interesting. Do you have any
- 10:09Gray Poupond? All right, mama, he said he got poop on something.
- 10:13But those are the bracket. This march madness comand you Greg, thank
- 10:18you for trying to decipher the code of the bad producer. You're getting better.
- 10:24They spend time together. I should stop, you should stop. Yeah,
- 10:28while you but you did you did have a fortieth birthday? Oh allegedly,
- 10:33no collage of you? Did you make that collage yourself? I've never
- 10:39made a collage of myself. No, I've never made a collage. You
- 10:43never had to do it like that, like middle not in middle school,
- 10:48but like elementary school, in second grade make collazo. No, I never
- 10:52made a collage. Y'all didn't have collages. Well then then y'all didn't have
- 10:58salad ball Hey listen, no, listen, no, but we had a
- 11:00cola. We couldn't eat it, but we were hold on, you're running
- 11:03out of time. Command you looking at the clock because he wanted to get
- 11:07out of this segment before we get on him. So you had a fortieth
- 11:11birthday. You didn't tell us, You didn't invite us to anything, milestone,
- 11:16But you had the time for a collage colas. We could have came
- 11:20to the collage party. That's all I had time for. We could have
- 11:24made it a party. Absolutely nothing for the fortieth You didn't go to Longhorned
- 11:28steakhouse, Steak and shake. You eat nothing special, nothing, you didn't.
- 11:33You didn't smoke a couple of coffee, just went on, no dawn
- 11:37home, Okay, just went on. You ain't stopped to get no gas
- 11:43weight. Wait. I know you want to be offended by this, but
- 11:46I didn't do anything for anyone to be offended. Wow, he said the
- 11:52government. Well, well do as the kids saying this generation should we keep
- 11:58that energy? Well, happy bird birthday and your Gregg the Big four zero
- 12:03milestone hitting the milestone in his life and done it. Did it? Command
- 12:07you quiet way, the quiet way lane. I would have at least brought
- 12:13us some some some twinkies or something to say happy birthday. No, forty

- 16:07to the show on this What Shock Wayne Gamey, Good morning to you bad
- 16:11producer Big Kenny, the commands you Greg all in the studio. The tournament
- 16:15is here. March Madness is the craze for the next three weeks. We'll
- 16:22be crowning a champion in men's and women's basketball. On the women's side,
- 16:30you South Carolina number one seeded team overall. On that side of the bracket.
- 16:36For the women, IOWA is one of the number one seeds. It's
- 16:38well that tournament kicks off on a Wednesday, so we will see how that
- 16:44journey goes. For probably not probably undoubtedly the strongest this season women's college basketball
- 16:56dominating men's college basketball, especially from name recognition. You can name four or
- 17:03five of the top women's players. Most people scratch their head to name you
- 17:07three of the men top players. So we will see how that tournament goes
- 17:12and the further Caitlyn Clark goes for further South Carolina goes, lsu USC.
- 17:22Those teams, you just hope those teams find their way to make it exciting
- 17:27and find their way to play each other at some point during the tournament,
- 17:32regardless of whether it's the final four or not. You'd like to see them
- 17:36matched up at one point. The South Carolina game Cocks, their coach Don
- 17:41Stay requested and demanded an apology from CBS Radio one O seven five up in
- 17:52the Carolina area for some statements that was made last week during the game where
- 18:00j R. Julian Jackson made the comment and the giant Brazilian woman from South
- 18:11Carolina that knocks people over. This was his comments as South Carolina and LS
- 18:18you got into the fight last week if you remember, these were the comments
- 18:23he had to say about the Center for South Carolina Camilla Cardoza. Is it
- 18:34the giant part or the Brazilian part? That How tall is Camilla cardozles?
- 18:42He's six seven okay, six seven now now and right with me. For
- 18:47a second, average height is for a forum for human maybe about five ten
- 18:57for humans, so even men five ten, so six seven is kind of
- 19:02in the in the in the in the Yeah, you're definitely in one.
- 19:07And and is she from She's from Brazil, Brazil, Okay, so she's
- 19:11time and she was the one coming like Cardoza who pushed the lady to the
- 19:15ground. Yes, so he was reporting the news and she wasn't a policy
- 19:23for him reporting the news. Uh, that's what she wanted and he accepted
- 19:29and stepped up and said he was sorry he hurts anybody feeling that he was
- 19:33just describing the scene. Remember when you're in radio description is your game?
- 19:41Yes, nobody has a picture to go along with it. So that was
- 19:45his description, and I was trying to read it and to find what was
- 19:52said wrong. Commanchi apology worthy comments his description as the game was happening in
- 20:00the fight was going on? Was the giant Brazilian woman from South Carolina?
- 20:03Does that make you feel like you have the audio up? Okay, let's
- 20:08hear it in the audio. Let's see if we can pick out a word
- 20:11that made it sound like you needed a podcast. Our Sports read with the
- 20:15CBS Sports Minute sponsored by l Flora. L Flora every step cover. March
- 20:21Madness is upon us. Selection Sunday is only a few days away, and
- 20:23we even have teams that have won their coment's gonna have automatic bits. But
- 20:26if I'm being honest, I'm more excited for the women's tournament. I'm ready
- 20:30for Angel Rees, Caitlyn Clark and the shiant Brazilian woman from South Carolina that
- 20:33knocks people over. Forget the guys, where are the women? I'm ready
- 20:37on. They all now hearing that bad producer, did you were you offended?
- 20:45He should have he shouldn't have nicknamed her if he did, nickname Angel
- 20:48or Caitlyn Clark. And I think a lot of that's coming from last year
- 20:53too, when South Carolina was playing they considered the ladies they had. She
- 21:00had to say something to the media about labeling her girls as thugs or labeling
- 21:06them I'm big and all these different things. So it's still a little bit
- 21:10of a carryover that she's probably bitter about. But that sports bite, I
- 21:14mean, it was quick. He was just doing a sports bite something real
- 21:18man. He said, he's looking forward, he's happy about it. But
- 21:22he just that just chose the Brazilian, the big Brazilian because he didn't say
- 21:26the big from l s U BYU, the BYU, the barbie we know
- 21:32Angel reach. He didn't say the Barbie from the LSU or then Caitlin as
- 21:36the shooter. He only described So if I said, coming to the play
- 21:40the Hawks tomorrow is Dawayne Wade Eudonna's Haslam and the Big radcou the Diesel,
- 21:48mister Bigfoot himself, Shaquille o'nee who tears down backboards. Then I'm being what
- 21:56I thought I was just telling you he was. I thought I was being
- 21:59colorful with my language, which is what we're supposed to be doing. But
- 22:03Dwayne Wade has a flash, so you throw his in there also. That's
- 22:07all I'm saying. If you're gonna throw if you're gonna throw these out here,
- 22:08because it doesn't sound it, it's not how that's not how introductions go.
- 22:15You don't you don't run. I'm just telling you from sending over here,
- 22:18introducing everybody. I've introduced you a million times. I don't always throw
- 22:26something in front of it. Sometimes I say Big Kenny the bad producer,
- 22:33and I might describe him in a different way. Command you, Greg,
- 22:41since you are the polar North and South all at once you two eighty five,
- 22:47do you did you find did you find those statements to be inflammatory to
- 22:52you? I think it. I murried that it does. You narrowed her
- 23:00down to like that one moment and kind of like dismissing how she's played this
- 23:06year. So I think that's that was seen kind of the if anything was
- 23:11offensive, it may have been that, like, okay, you just know
- 23:14her for pushing somebody down and that's that's it. So to like define her
- 23:19that way, I think that part may have been offensive, But to say
- 23:25that she's the big Brazilian woman, that part didn't seem that offensive. Big
- 23:30Kenny, No, I didn't find an offensive And two words. First amendment.
- 23:37I don't think Don Staley gets to an edit and censor people and tell
- 23:42them what to say when they're doing their job on their platforms, reporting on
- 23:48the game that this actually happened in. So you know, sit down,
- 23:52coach, you got a tournament to win. Well, Chamillion Cardoza, I
- 23:57guess doesn't want to be referred to as the giant Brazilian uh and needed an
- 24:03aptology. She's the giant Brazilian person, I goes, so I'm gonna call
- 24:07it giant Prazilian bother. She's a giant Brazilian person. And we'll be back
- 24:11more to Sports Jack Show. Right after this, your father Mon explains op

- 28:41I tell you to uh to do something about your huge I would I would
- 28:52uh. The Kirk Cousins the biggest signing of the off season. When you
- 28:56look at teams Atlanta Falcons grabbing Kirk Cousins last week, people from the world
- 29:03of William Twitty would like to I guess they would like mister Cousins to apologize
- 29:18here in Atlanta. If you haven't come here as a sports fan, you
- 29:26might find and learn that this city is very racist about their sport. They
- 29:33really only want black heroes to lead their teams, and when they are not,
- 29:40they really are shady with the support. There's no player that I've ever
- 29:45heard of that the Atlanta fan base wanted to explain and apologize their financial game.
- 29:56But even when they was garbage, trash black players, they get an
- 30:02extension that Atlanta would want to turn up and everybody in the front office be
- 30:07like, I ain't giving him the money. But Kirk Cousins has even had
- 30:10to make a statement, I'm not going to apologize for the fact that it's
- 30:15been a great blessing financially for my family. He was on the Steamroom podcast.
- 30:22But in my years in Atlanta, I certainly want it to be about
- 30:27winning a Super Bowl and be the last piece of my football career. He's
- 30:36already talked about hopefully these are the last years he can stay a Falcon the
- 30:40last four years. But since he has been signing, all people seem to
- 30:45want to talk about Kirk Cousins is his contract, which if you look,
- 30:52you will find that on average of salary, Kirk Cousins, this new deal
- 30:57puts him about night tenth. You would actually be a little surprised about two
- 31:04or three of the people that are ahead of Kirk Cousins. Michael Kyler,
- 31:10Murray, likeel, Daniel Jones from the Giants, Yes, that Daniel Jones
- 31:17commanded you Like, yeah, Daniel Jones, Yeah, Daniel Jones from the
- 31:19Giants. The second year is this second contractor is this is rookie contract?
- 31:26Daniel Jones second contract? Yeah. So but here, William Twitty, if
- 31:34you can explain to the people what is the rationale behind needing mister Kirk Cousins
- 31:41to explain his salary. I never questioned the salary. I'm just wondering why
- 31:51and when he had to make this statement out to explain. I've just you
- 31:55know, I've heard it through the some of the sports talks radio shows here
- 32:00locally and the national media. They're talking about Kirk Cousins contract he's done real
- 32:06well and how his agent is the is the m v P because of all
- 32:10the deals he has been able to get him and so but you explained last
- 32:15week to us that you know, it's just come up at that time.
- 32:16Kirk plays good at the time and when it's time to come up for a
- 32:20contract renew and the money that's available, and and it's just he just happened
- 32:24to get the hand is dealt. That's why I'm looking at it, Big
- 32:29Kenny. Yes, since you've given me permission to call you big Kenny.
- 32:34Yeah, please, you do have that rector make sure we're in court.
- 32:37No, we ain't going to court. Stop court. Stop saying kid Johnson
- 32:43stopped saying court the same sentences. Come on, man, I do have
- 32:45permission, yeah to call you big Kenny. Yes, please please use my
- 32:51age. What about the funny funny man Big Kenny. Yes, yes,
- 32:54the whole thing. Yes, yes, sir, from Smyrna or from the
- 33:00We don't want to give him those specifical case. We don't want to give
- 33:05him a zero. The Atlanta area we're gonna claim, so that could be
- 33:08anywhere from you know. Kirk Cousins needing to have to make a statement now
- 33:15the most the one of the highest paid quarterbacks that I can remember in the
- 33:22last couple of seasons. Sean Watson, Yes, in twenty twenty three,
- 33:25he played six games. Correct, nobody's asking him to apologize for nothing in
- 33:31twenty twenty three. Kirk Cousins, who's been in the league and had played
- 33:36I believe the season before Sean Watson sat out about seven years. He just
- 33:42came back and got one hundred and thirty three billion dollar contract and then played
- 33:45six games. Kirk Cousins has played how many years in the NFL eleven so
- 33:51far. I'm saying, if a union player and he's been known for his
- 33:55durability, I'm saying, just cost a living increase, have him as one
- 34:00of the higher paid quarterbacks, and nobody's asked Sean Watson to apologize for anything.
- 34:07We've seen quarterbacks get super huge Cam Newton contracts and then pout and sit
- 34:14on the sidelines and be ineffective for that entire season. So I don't know.
- 34:19And again, I believe the only reason people are asking him to apologize
- 34:22is because he comeing to a black team in a black city and making money
- 34:28as a white quarterback, and they're offended by that. You could have took
- 34:30that money and hired a black guy. That's why they put him. That's
- 34:35why they put him in a dirty bird chain and then got his kids and
- 34:38slapped them in dirty bird chain. Greg. I don't know what black guy,
- 34:45honestly, but I think part of it. Can I call you commands?
- 34:50Greg? Or should I stop that? You can? Can I keep
- 34:55going? Hey that's a little offensive? Oh okay? Yeah yeah. But
- 35:07I think part of it is he's he was the first player to get a
- 35:13fully guaranteed contract and Sean Watson uh Kirk Cousins when he went to Minnesota.
- 35:20Yes, okay, So with him being the first to get a fully guaranteed
- 35:23contract, I think some people may look at it, Oh, he didn't,
- 35:29he didn't deserve a fully guaranteed contract, but it was a matter of
- 35:32him using the leverage that he had and then the timing of a quarterback that
- 35:39that of his talent being out of a free agent market, which doesn't happen
- 35:43that often. So he took he took advantage of that, and I don't
- 35:47fault him at all for that. And he's done that a couple of more
- 35:51times where Minnesota may not have been in position to get if they wanted to
- 35:55get someone they thought was better, that better guy wasn't out there, so
- 36:00we go back to the guy that we had. So, uh, I
- 36:05don't fault him for the money that he's made, and uh he has.
- 36:10He doesn't have anything to apologize for, and that was all with that situation.
- 36:15I just don't get where is this man And it's obviously in the media,
- 36:20it's obviously in the William Twitty world where he's hearing these ideas that you
- 36:27shouldn't be and I rarely hear that to where somebody has to apologize. Yes,
- 36:32people always talking about, oh, he's overpaid, this guy's overpaid.
- 36:36As I said, most people don't understand how getting paid works. They just
- 36:40think it's all about some kind of racist or because to apologize. Most sports,
- 36:52most people, especially in football, quarterbacks are overpaid. Period. The
- 36:59position is overpaid. In the most the position is overrated. It's an overrated
- 37:07position. But that's because in society outside of the football locker room, everybody
- 37:15thinks that whatever's going to happen, win or lose, is gonna be about
- 37:19the quarterback. So you made it so the quarterback gets fifty million a year
- 37:25and the other players to combine, don't make but fifty million a year.
- 37:31But then you upset there's no running game, or why you didn't make that
- 37:37tackle right right? Because why you didn't knock the ball down. They literally
- 37:43have that system in the XFL where the quarterbacks are going to make this much,
- 37:47they're going to make the most. We actually have that in the structure.
- 37:52Then they're gonna make They're gonna make more than everybody else because they we
- 37:55deem them more important. And I want to ask you said that people wanted
- 38:00Kirk Cousin to apologize for the money that he made. I said, I
- 38:04said people, and you said national and local outlets, of which we are
- 38:07both a nationally local sports outlet. So you heard a lot of what we're
- 38:12saying here but true for the matter is you would have bought Justin Fields to
- 38:16Atlanta. Man, give him any kind you said, go get some extra
- 38:21money and pay Justin Fields, and he and and and and they're coming to
- 38:24pick him up today with the rest of the trash. Basic man. I
- 38:28had to cut my chat room off this weekend once Justin got traded because some
- 38:30of the things that was said. But I'm saying you would have bought him
- 38:36here and given him any amount of money and thought it was justified. We
- 38:39have Kirk Cousins who has a history and at Justin Fields has proven that he
- 38:44loses. Kirk Cousins has proved the opposite, and you would not feel like
- 38:49he is show right after this gone down, care Mountain Don't Go Away,

- 42:19Shock show. I'm the sport Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you out
- 42:22there listening on lane. The n C Double A Tournament is upon us.
- 42:25The fields are set. The action will begin in a couple of days.
- 42:32Firings have always UH started the n C Double A Tournament because typically UH coaches
- 42:39and UH keeping with that same tempo. Juwan Howard out at Michigan, he
- 42:45knew it well. He knew it well. He knew that because I had
- 42:50I saw a post with him loading up a truck. I knew he knew
- 42:54it. You don't win before games and the season at Michigan, they're gonna
- 42:58fire you and you be punching bag. Yeah, you know. We played
- 43:02thirty games at Michigan and you ain't win before they're on fire. You gotta
- 43:07go now we can be fourteen and sixteen something like that. Yeah, before
- 43:12and then we can we can have a conversation. All right. If you
- 43:15ain't winning but four games at the Michigan Wolverine Basketball you basically didn't win any
- 43:21games. We emailing you. Were not even firing you in person. We
- 43:27just go, hey, thanks. Jerry stack House UH got fired at vander
- 43:30Build after five years as well. Jerry stack House show a lot of promise
- 43:36there early on, UH, but just could not get this team into the
- 43:39tournament in that five year period. U. And that was a good job
- 43:44by Vanderbilt. That is a good amount of time. Yes, for you
- 43:47to get the ship right. That's a whole. That's a whole recruiting class.
- 43:52That's a great time to us. Yes, that gives you enough time
- 43:55to see the recruiting class that you have, what you have prepared for the
- 44:00future going forward. You can literally pack your bags and go to the offices
- 44:05and shake Thankful's hand and things. You gave me a whole. So I
- 44:09got to draft, I got to recruit a class and had enough time to
- 44:14get them all the way through, and we never won. So I can't
- 44:20even lay it on Well, all I had was your the other coaches player
- 44:23you know, you had time. You at your players for four years minimum.
- 44:28Yeah, And I think Jerry he was showing some good signs there when
- 44:30he had Scottie Pippen's son. They had a pretty decent team. Darius Garland,
- 44:36Darious God. Yeah, so he showed a lot of promis. Do
- 44:38you think recruiting dried up for him as far as after those having a pipping
- 44:45in Garland the process, as far as trying to bring those players in Vanderbilt,
- 44:49which is a tough school academically, to one of those schools that you
- 44:52have to really concentrate being a student athlete. I think that a lot of
- 44:59times these schools here like a Vanderbilt, will suffer with the NIL. The
- 45:07harder it is to get into school, the more intelligent the people that run
- 45:14the school are, typically the less they're going to be about the NIL business.
- 45:22I don't know how to say that. I'm not trying to offend nobody,
- 45:24but I'm saying those schools that have that little asterisk by it, that's
- 45:28kind of more of on the level. We've got endowments, so our students
- 45:34are just really coming here because they like sports, you know what I'm saying.
- 45:37And we were competitive, that's the thing. We don't make it our
- 45:43priority, but we've managed to cut out a small space in our conference to
- 45:49be competitive every year. But you know, we will try one of these
- 45:53experiments and had it been successful, he would probably still be there. But
- 45:59again, we saw as much as we needed to see to make a fair
- 46:01assessment, and you didn't make the tournament in any of the five years,
- 46:07right, That's that's a good amount of time to be where nobody didn't bring
- 46:12us a championship. We're saying, but it's not. But in his defense,
- 46:16but I believe that the Stackhouse will get a We talked about that through
- 46:22Texas. He will get another job, I believe within I mean, know
- 46:25what an issue. I know what I'm saying, another power five. I
- 46:29mean I think that he may it somewhere within the a SEC or the Big
- 46:32East or probably another SEC job with a chance to redeem to Georgia Southern maybe
- 46:38or or somewhere like that, because his teeth get a little more momentum in
- 46:44the industry. Because he got this job with no real background, right right,
- 46:49Yeah, he didn't have did he coach anywhere before? He got this
- 46:52job on the strength of Jawan Howard because I think I think he coached in
- 46:55the in the G League for a little bit. Okay, yeah, I
- 47:00think he will show back up. I'm just talking about that. Neither one
- 47:04of these firing these were legit. This is how you get fired. You
- 47:08know, you go four and twenty five at Michigan, they'll get rid of
- 47:13you. They'll get ready anywhere in the school. And then with jaredy gave
- 47:16him enough time, a big enough window right there to where he could get
- 47:22in Bronnie James big question. His season is over for usc US. He
- 47:25didn't make the tournament, did they? No, I think that will Bronnie
- 47:30James stay or go? Will he rolled the dice and try the whole NBA?
- 47:36Or will he stay? Command shee Greg Uh, Well, there's what
- 47:42I what I think and with them, but I really think he's going to
- 47:47go. I think he's okay. So yes for command she William William Twitty
- 47:53permission? No, I didn't. I didn't ask for permission to call you
- 47:57hello Hello? Did decided to because you seem to be very offended by the
- 48:00giant Brazilian things. I don't. I don't want to go to court like
- 48:04Big Kenny. I mean, I wasn't offended by the giant Brazilian I just
- 48:07said so yes and no, no, Big Kenny. I think he'll stay,
- 48:19and I I think he will stay as well. I mean, I
- 48:24don't think he other than to try and get Lebron later. I do think
- 48:29it's a it's a bad idea, but on the strength of his daddy,
- 48:36that's what I'm saying. Will draft just so next season Lebron will come here
- 48:42and play with his son before he retired. And that's the only reason.
- 48:45People with the Cleveland Cavalier Cavaliers. Oh my good draft running. Let me
- 48:51tell you, I hadn't even thought about the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they would
- 48:53put up their whole city. Look, we'll give you part ownership, and
- 48:59we're Bronnie the other part. Just one season. I tell you what,
- 49:05Bridie Akron? Is it? The King and the Prince? How would they
- 49:07have it? How would they have the royal court? The royal court,
- 49:10the King and the Prince, the King and the heir apparent, the whole
- 49:17season of just king. He already owned Akron. Brinnie owns Achron. It's
- 49:23yours. Do what you want you with it. Put in a new kitchen.
- 49:27We're gonna clear some space out, put a little bar over there.
- 49:30Lebron, you got half of Cleveland owned. Now you own the team.
- 49:35Now that is the thing. I don't know where Cleveland drafting, but I
- 49:38would draft me if I was Cleveland, because even if the King don't come,
- 49:44I just hold on to him. Look, man, go play some
- 49:45g le vall to your daddy. Yeah, and then come on in with
- 49:51we're gonna give him ownership anyway. Yeah, Well, will sit him on
- 49:53the bench and let him where he's a free agent. Then, yeah,
- 49:59I Cleveland will definitely, they'll be first in line a loan that man in
- 50:04this court. We'll be back with more to sports doc show. Well what
- 50:07they call it last tour. Yeah, fine, farewell too, Farewell Tour
- 50:10with the King. We'll be back on Sportstock Show Vegas through the roof.

- 53:07Twitter is a Lebron hater, so he didn't participate Payton in the five minute
- 53:12commercial session, so we won't give him any of the royalties. I was
- 53:16thinking though, I was just we're still a spitball in this whole Cleveland.
- 53:22Bronnie Lebron was going to play out right some kind of way, like Brunnie
- 53:30is already at the park, He's there. He had it on a hoodie.
- 53:34He hasn't got on the court yet. Lebron out there hooping, hooping,
- 53:38getting some extra practice in, and he kind of comes out of the
- 53:45dark and pulls back his hoodie and said, you know some you know,
- 53:52I got next ball out, old man or something. And King kind of
- 53:59looked back and surprise and they may our contact and some powder go up in
- 54:04that and then some powder go up. I mean just a max Lebron.
- 54:08Look, Lebron do his powder first, and then Brianni do powder and it's
- 54:13a colored powder or something like that. Like no, so Lebron is uh,
- 54:17Lebron is out there working getting his training in right. And then somebody
- 54:22in a hoodie walkers along the sideline and does the powder thing right, and
- 54:27Lebron looks over, hey, hey, hey, that's my powder and and
- 54:31he turned around, turned around right and and then he go, oh you
- 54:36want something, And all of a sudden, Ja Morant pull out and be
- 54:37like this out spit balling. We were spit balling. You know, that's
- 54:45how ball meet and go. Sometime it be that dude over in the corner.

- 55:00something. We're gonna get it right. We're gonna get it right. Pitch
- 55:02it to somebody, you know, Cleveland, we pitched we we we pitching
- 55:07this specifically powder or Brunning over there and put on the wrong shoes and le
- 55:14Bron has you know, hey those my shoes. Can you fit those?
- 55:16You sure you can fit those? Something like that, You sure you can
- 55:21fit them? Uh, they might be a little small something with a king
- 55:28and the royal family. Yeah, commands. You can feel us though,
- 55:34can you? It was somewhere in there, right, we were in the
- 55:36right ballpark. Yeah, you want to just there are a lot of things
- 55:39you can play on as far as like the same mentality, going back to
- 55:44Cleveland, the father son dynamic, there's a lot there probably be a series
- 55:47of commercials, right, but but yeah, it's already some people sitting in
- 55:51the stands. So here we go another one picking teams. They say the
- 55:57name James, and both of them, and both of them stand up and
- 56:01look at each other. Hold on, man, and then everybody be and
- 56:06and the people, the people picking the teams. There'd be one uh veteran
- 56:09from the Bronze generation and John Moran, and when they both stand up,
- 56:15mot be like, oh man, sit out. And John Marres got nothing
- 56:24to do with this, Okay, we just spit ball. You keep bringing
- 56:28job more. I'm saying, but this, if we think about it,
- 56:32John Morant bringing the generations together. Any way, we can pull Michael Jordan
- 56:38in this commercial, if we would do it. If we can pull Jordans
- 56:43the Internet a blow up, he would do it. And then if he
- 56:46the coach right, or he'd throw up the tip off, Mike throw up
- 56:52the tip off and know about the Internet was shut down. Mike throw up
- 56:55the tip off. Brinie tipp it to Mike's son, who throw it to
- 57:02Scottie Pippen and they both throw it to Scottie ex wife. Now that we've
- 57:07gotta make a whole docu city. And then John Moran, John Moran,
- 57:12and there's a truckload of Emmy's coming truckload. I'm telling you, just just
- 57:20just the trailers are going to be Emmy worthy. But but if we can
- 57:23get if Phil Knight can get Jordan's, of course he can, I can
- 57:30we can play it up, because what happens is Jordan came to the court
- 57:36to play Lebron. It's time. It's some kind of you gotta let fight
- 57:39lead direct directed. It's a long commercial. Now, Oh yeah, that's
- 57:43what I'm saying. So Jordan the NBA Finals. This is a long commercial.
- 57:46Jordan, just keep watching it. And Mike finally shows up. He
- 57:51thought he was James and then all of a sudden he come Bridie after the
- 57:55locker room, and Jordan like, come on man, something like that.
- 57:59Look, Jared, where your daddy at right? Where he asked, Brannie,
- 58:06where your daddy at right? Jared, our loyal listener from New York
- 58:09said that they could use coming to America scene for Briannie and the King.
- 58:19Oh which one? Well, I guess where they were picking the wife where
- 58:23a king was standing next to his father. Sheeshaw, quick, we need
- 58:28this to happen. We needed only to get the reaction of the William Twitty.
- 58:35Now now this is this is the thing. Okay, we gotta go
- 58:38to Mercier, but we can just get some kind of way because he's gonna
- 58:43be secretly watching the commercial. He's gonna come on to the show and deny
- 58:47that he saw the commercial. He gonna watch all twelve minutes of the commercial
- 58:51right, but didn't be like it was all right? But then he gonna
- 58:54find out in part three when Jordan showed up to the court right to finally
- 59:00accept the challenge and he all in it. Now, Ye, man,
- 59:04did you see how Mike he good up? And we might be like,
- 59:07Man, where your daddy at? John Moran, And we're gonna say,
- 59:13Man, I had your daddy. I think you on house arrest to get
- 59:15him out right now, we'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right after
- 59:19this, John Bowl, Wayne Born of the Sports Josh Hill with Wayne Gambidias

- 1:00:07won't give you the real talk on drugs, but it's time we know the
- 1:00:09facts. Fentanyl is killing people. It's a powerful opioid, often made illegally
- 1:00:15and commonly mixed with illicted drugs. It can even be pressed into counterfeit pills
- 1:00:20that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the size of a few
- 1:00:23grains of sand, could potentially be lethal. This isn't an ad to scare
- 1:00:28you, but it isn't ad to make you think twice. Get the facts.
- 1:00:31Go to Real Deal on fentanyl dot com. This message is brought to

- 1:00:45We hold the world ransom for excuse me while I whip this out.

- 1:01:15doing Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way. You may go to this
- 1:01:21What Shock Show. I'm the swat Shock Wayne Canty, Good morning to you,

- 1:01:47Michael Jordan, Lebron, James Brownie, James Nikes, rich Future because we
- 1:01:53sometimes forget we haven't even been offered the commercial of Mike and Lebron yet.
- 1:02:01Wow, some out of money maker, some come to kind of collab with
- 1:02:07that. It's just like it truly is just raining money really in any kind
- 1:02:13of any kind of anything. If you put those any kind of documentary where
- 1:02:17they sitting there conversing in any of that and then they throw a splash or
- 1:02:23kobe it. But you know what if they collaborate on a shoe the King
- 1:02:29Goat shoe them two together and something we haven't even We always pit them against
- 1:02:36each other. But if they brought the two worlds together the Goat King about
- 1:02:40something in any kind of way, just them on some kind of interview with
- 1:02:49Oprah or even let Barack Obama one of the Greg greg Or, Brian Gumble,
- 1:02:53one of the many of them sit there and just air it out and
- 1:02:58talk about it. Man, everybody be tuned in. Everybody go get Prime
- 1:03:04or whatever network, because you got to do it that way. Can't just
- 1:03:06get away free. Now, we gotta gotta put it on, gotta find
- 1:03:08a bike on to do it. Whoever, whoever you Yeah, I don't
- 1:03:15have no place for a moders ride. Was one of the first people to
- 1:03:19kick in the door. Yes, he was back in the early ages and
- 1:03:22when it from went from broadcasting sports to being a legitimate on air anchor of
- 1:03:30UH Talk and documentary style show. Yeah did it so well for people forgot
- 1:03:35He was a football player wide receiver for seven eight years for the I think
- 1:03:38the Vikings. Yes, if I was correct, that's how well he was.
- 1:03:43He was how people will see Michael Strahan. Yes, someone boring today
- 1:03:47ten twelve years from now won't remember Michael straighthand from just the football part,
- 1:03:54he would just be the guy that's on some show on t But just throwing
- 1:04:00it out there, because as long as those two are alive, Michael Jordan
- 1:04:03and Lebron, somebody at some point gonna throw enough money to get him to
- 1:04:10have a conversation. Just yeah and it and all it may take is just
- 1:04:16knowing what right buttons to push correct get them in the same and it would
- 1:04:19be something that must watch TV with people would be dominant. Speaking of dominance,
- 1:04:25Aaron Donald, the de tackle for the La Rams, has decided to
- 1:04:30hang it up after ten years, three time Defensive Player of the Year,
- 1:04:34mister unblockable of his decade, the most dominant defensive player in the last ten
- 1:04:41years. Arguably you put him on a top five list of inside tackles easily.
- 1:04:48He's ranked in that you, yes, we can come up with a
- 1:04:53whole bunch of this, and that I can always tell you all you can
- 1:04:56do is dominate the air in which you in the rules, the regulations,
- 1:05:02whether the people were good or not good, that ain't got nothing to do
- 1:05:05with it. For what it was when I did it, Aaron Donald was
- 1:05:10the best defensive player in the business. He's hunging up. He's only thirty
- 1:05:14two, thirty three years old. The news that's the old football player.
- 1:05:19Now get used to that. There is no my era where you play until
- 1:05:26all the ligaments are torn. These guys just by just in the you know,
- 1:05:31Patrick Willis, who's in the Hall of Fame, kind of sparked that
- 1:05:35even shorter than Barry. We thought Barry like that. Barry Sanders left after
- 1:05:41ten years. Patrick Willis gave you about eight years. Hall of Fame people
- 1:05:45just stepping off. JJ Watts probably could have got another year to in,
- 1:05:48right, right, Calvin, Yeah, you can get another u. Aaron
- 1:05:54Donald. Nobody asked you to retire, right, Well, because I was
- 1:06:00you know, I was more trained the time that I played. The mindset
- 1:06:06was that as long as you was capable of playing, you played like a
- 1:06:11what's the guy for the Falcons? Campbell? Campbell? You just play until
- 1:06:18until people start going, hey, Campbell has been out here since I was
- 1:06:23seven. That kind of thing somebody getting before you get hurt. Right,
- 1:06:27do you think that that generation of play until somebody has to come get you
- 1:06:33saw football as life, and now these athletes are preparing for so much life
- 1:06:41after football, Like this isn't the be all and end all of my who.
- 1:06:45It is that I see myself as or my opportunities because of the contracts
- 1:06:51and the rules and the ability to keep their bodies in shape for so long,
- 1:06:57they look to I'll play a hard ten years and you know, Aaron
- 1:07:00Donald, I ain't got nothing to apologize for. When I leave, I
- 1:07:02can leave it all on the field and walk off into future Hall of Fame.
- 1:07:06Well, there's more opportunities now available in the sport sports world period.
- 1:07:13Right Where it used to be four or five jobs, now there's three four
- 1:07:17hundred jobs that you can go and kind of and it's not necessarily monetary thing,
- 1:07:25but you can get your fulfillment of that. And I have that absence
- 1:07:31that you would feel that lull, like something is missing somebody like Aaron Donald,
- 1:07:36just like I've said with JJ Watt, I'm quite sure, especially out
- 1:07:40there in that LA media, Fox, the NFL network, all of those
- 1:07:45people probably have a deal in place, just like Tom Brady walking away and
- 1:07:50Tom would be on the number one team this year for Fox broadcasting the gamest
- 1:07:56analysts. Yeah, and they've got so many different platforms that it's almost like
- 1:08:00a G League or Triple A type ball where I can send you over to
- 1:08:04Fox Sports at night and let you cut your teeth there before I move you
- 1:08:10up to the Sunday afternoon football coverage. But Aaron Donald is making a lot
- 1:08:14of people happy stepping away. You didn't really see any drop off. And
- 1:08:19Aaron Donald when he played out of Pitt future Hall of Famer, indeed,
- 1:08:27three time Defensive Player of the Year, Hollywood Brown, a receiver has left
- 1:08:32Arizona. Now he's a chief. Kenny Pickett traded to the Eagles. Kenny
- 1:08:38Pickett just drafted by the Steelers in the first round. That was the most
- 1:08:43Jet esque. We just couldn't get it together. And he's going to go
- 1:08:46back up. Our man Jalen hurts up in Philly. Keenan Allen, one
- 1:08:56of the all time great receivers for the Chargers, now is a bear.
- 1:09:02The Chargers just seem like they are resheffling. He's trying to figure out how
- 1:09:06to get that team back to where it was. And when he started paying
- 1:09:11one player, like the quarterback, fifty million dollars a year, two of
- 1:09:15three people have to leave. Apparently the story that the Chargers went to Keenan
- 1:09:21Allen and asked him to take a pay cut. He said, no,
- 1:09:26she's traded. Okay, yeah, yeah, when you sign your quarterback.
- 1:09:30That's why I say it's a lot of overratedness to it, because it's going
- 1:09:32to calls one or two areas where it's going to just be more of the
- 1:09:36average person because I got to fit somebody in that's cap friendly. But Keenan
- 1:09:41Allen is a bear, and the Bears quarterback Justin Fields is now a stiller.
- 1:09:47If you missed that report, Justin Fields, the youngster out of Uga,
- 1:09:54out of Ohio State, and out of Chicago, a contract running out.
- 1:10:00A lot of people thought that he would be a bigger deal as far
- 1:10:03as trades, but I think he was traded for a conditional sixth round pick.
- 1:10:10Two pack of Pittsburgh Stillers, pack of Skittles, about a six pack
- 1:10:15of beer. He gay, we'll shake hand. If he plays fifty of
- 1:10:20the snaps, it could be a fourth or fourth round pick. So right
- 1:10:25now he is slotted to back up Russell Wilson, which probably would be the
- 1:10:30best thing for him to do. Uh. He has been, like a
- 1:10:33lot of young quarterbacks fresh out of college, pushed into the starring role.
- 1:10:40And sometimes that's easier in certain cities than it is in others, places like
- 1:10:45Chicago, places like Pittsburgh, where they their fans are very enthusiastic about giving
- 1:10:54their opinion and criticizing. They don't do a lot of coddling in those cities
- 1:10:59with the star players. But now Justin Fields gets a chance to go to
- 1:11:04an organization that might fit him better with the Arthur Smith offense. That Arthur
- 1:11:10Smith was the head coach here for the Falcons. Now he is the offensive
- 1:11:13coordinator or the Stellers. Fits right in with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields and
- 1:11:19a gentleman like William Twitty, our co host over here. Finally can see
- 1:11:28if Justin Fields is it him or was it Chicago? And I'm not really
- 1:11:33understanding why we would take a Kenny Pickett and then move him and then bring
- 1:11:39in to Justin Field and Russell Wilson, where we could have just kept Kenny
- 1:11:43Pickett and bought in one of those other guys, it seems. And the
- 1:11:46style of offense at the style of offense, okay, Yeah, there was
- 1:11:51a story that Kenny Pickett didn't want to compete for the starting job after the
- 1:11:58Russell Wilson trade. That's why he got traded, okay. And always key
- 1:12:03to figure out who is also running who's the coordinator, because that person is
- 1:12:10going to try to pull one or two people in that fits his style,
- 1:12:14and a lot of people don't. They go a lot most people go to
- 1:12:16the head coach and think it's him, and it's like, no, what
- 1:12:20style are you running? Because we need different people. Go ahead, Sirtain,
- 1:12:23Now I was gonna say, And once the trade was made, Russell
- 1:12:26Wilson did tweet said, Hey, your quarterback room will be on fire this
- 1:12:30year at Pittsburgh. So I don't know what that means. I mean,
- 1:12:32I guess in film study and everything. I guess he's planning on being a
- 1:12:35mentor to Justin. We'll be back more to the Sports Shock Show right after
- 1:12:41this. John Boy, Wayne Born of the Sports John Show with Wayne Gambia

- 1:17:59seven years of Wall Crawler is bad Moon Rising. Caitlyn Jenner lamar Odom.
- 1:18:08They're starting a podcast called Keeping Up with Sports. Not keeping up with the
- 1:18:15Kardashians, but it's keeping up with sports. Their podcast is meant to take
- 1:18:19a fresh look at what it really takes to be the best. Caitlyn Jenner
- 1:18:27and Lamar odom. Caitlyn was Lamar's stepfather for a while, correct, and
- 1:18:32now it's his step mamble, his stepdaddy mambo, but just a step parent.
- 1:18:41Interesting show, two interesting characters, Lamar Caitlyn Jenner to to I mean
- 1:18:51a comedic dream. Come on, man, is it not? Command?
- 1:18:59Lamar waking up not really knowing where he at and what happened, and and
- 1:19:02Caitlyn's standing there like, oh, get up, Lamar. I can't help
- 1:19:08but think this was all. This was all Chris And the name of that
- 1:19:11movie was Overboard. Over Board ye on the boat. You think Chris came
- 1:19:16up with his for the podcast? Absolutely? Of course she is the puppet
- 1:19:21master. So you don't think Caitlyn called Lamar and they just was like,
- 1:19:26man, you know what we should do? Chris told Caitlyn to call Lamar.
- 1:19:30Okay, you know what y'all giving all the credit to Chris. Oh
- 1:19:34yeah, she's a praying child. She's the puppet master. The puppet master.
- 1:19:40She was the one that said, just be yourself, Caitlyn, just
- 1:19:44be yourself completely. A documentary is in the works. Shaquille O'Neil and Steph
- 1:19:48Curry are producing bringing you a documentary about Alan Iver's son. Now, come
- 1:19:56on, anchie, What is going to be different about this Ai? Then
- 1:20:00what we know of Ai? Because it's not like he's lived a life of
- 1:20:04secrets. Yeah, and is this age? Does that makes sense? It's
- 1:20:09not like he was keeping this was an indoor life right behind the like he's
- 1:20:14taking us behind the curtain and you ask, hey, man, we don't
- 1:20:17need to know that. Slow down, slow down. That's the children show.
- 1:20:21Now did he go to them and say, I have a story to
- 1:20:25tell. You be the part of the the platform that tells my story.
- 1:20:30Or did they go, oh, Ai, you ain't telling it right and
- 1:20:32we're going to tell your story. How did that? I know Shaq is
- 1:20:36running Rebok and him and Ai have released I Guess or are going to release
- 1:20:42a new rebox Q with Ai Uh. And Shaq's production company is Shack Jersey
- 1:20:48Legends Steph Curry who is still with under Armor. So I don't know how
- 1:20:55that plays in, but he has a production company called Unanimous, Uh Unanimous
- 1:21:04what is bound? Okay? So I don't know how these two are working
- 1:21:10together, but they bring you Ai to prime. I think it's going to
- 1:21:13be on Prime Video. Might be a little taste of Prime letting both of
- 1:21:16them into the business, uh and knowing where the world of sports is going.
- 1:21:21Those are two of the biggest names you can get in. But I
- 1:21:25was just wondering why Ai didn't produce it himself. If you really want to
- 1:21:29know why he's going to be I mean, he's going to be involved,
- 1:21:32but they had to come to practice. Want to practice it? Being no
- 1:21:39producer? What practice? I just want to come up? And there have
- 1:21:42been a couple of documentaries about him, one about the the the bowling Alley
- 1:21:49fight when he was in high school and then a shorter one that was on
- 1:21:56Showtime about his career. So I think this is it. I think he's
- 1:22:00going to focus more on the influence he's actually had on the league as far
- 1:22:02as like the the culture of the hip hop on of it. Didn't they
- 1:22:08do that on three sixty he's sixty or yeah. That's why I was trying
- 1:22:13to figure out how he introduced the big shorts and the braids and the tattoos
- 1:22:18and the hip hop music and the jewry and they already done that. That's
- 1:22:23what I'm saying. I don't understand how we're going to take what we've seen
- 1:22:27already, because they've done the him from childhood up through his trouble to George.
- 1:22:33All of that. We've seen that, and so now you're going to

- 1:26:27Alan Arbinson Comanchie AI Big Kenny, Isaiah Thomas, Zeke and I would go
- 1:26:38with Zeke as well, Isaiah Thomas a little general role. Uh just just
- 1:26:43hit me since we had those two names been in the cycle, two different
- 1:26:46styles. We were talking about AI having a documentary coming out uh here soon
- 1:26:51produced by Shaquille O'Neill, and Uh, Steph Curry can't wait to see what
- 1:26:58Ai looking like these days. I see him on them commercials, look like
- 1:27:01fat you put on a little weight. Fat is a John Wall speaking of
- 1:27:10one of the more talented people to ever play the position of point guard put
- 1:27:15chess. Through injuries or contract disputes or attitude, John Wall has not been
- 1:27:25really on the court here in about five years that we really have seen him
- 1:27:31in any kind of real action. He was on the Clippers last year maybe
- 1:27:39for a few games, but as far as any consistent play, like you
- 1:27:44said, it's been a while. Yeah, you have to go back to
- 1:27:46Washington, Yeah, yeah, once he left there, he hasn't been on
- 1:27:51any kind of consistent anything as far as I can remember. As far as
- 1:27:57anyone checks can get them consistent checks, but he was He got traded to
- 1:28:01the to the Rockets, and then they he was he had gotten healthy,
- 1:28:08but because of they were the rebuild after traded Harden in Westbrook, they blew
- 1:28:12the whole team up. So they told him to stay away and he's he's
- 1:28:17not on anyone. Then he signed with the Clippers. He played with the
- 1:28:21Clippers last year, but he didn't resign anywhere. Well. He was doing
- 1:28:26an interview the other day and speaking about suicides. There's been a couple of
- 1:28:31times that he has thought about it, even put the gun to his head
- 1:28:38and that type of contemplation of taking his own life. He say felt a
- 1:28:45lot of depression after his mom died back in twenty nineteen is when the depression
- 1:28:55started in his life. His mom was his best friend. He's only thirty
- 1:29:01three years old. As I said, he hasn't really been playing the last
- 1:29:05five years. To the point you have to sit here and ponder when and
- 1:29:11where, what city, what team? How long he played? But sad
- 1:29:15news to hear John wall I know we you know, not from his talent.
- 1:29:20We always get on about the killing stuff, you know, And he
- 1:29:24was doing a little dance. Never questioned whether he had the talent to play
- 1:29:28the game of basketball. It was like a lot of athletes these days,
- 1:29:32the focus is it that's something that you really want. And as much as
- 1:29:39I criticize him, I do offerm that olive branch that society is so up
- 1:29:48to. I would say they are so easily influenced by outside entities. Hmm.
- 1:30:00Let me just put it that way, that they fall into whatever's going
- 1:30:08on easily. They don't seem to isolate themselves, isolate them very very well.
- 1:30:17They seem to be very very you know, go with whatever's going on.
- 1:30:24Can be influenced by a lot of people. So just sad to hear
- 1:30:27that. John Wall you know, at any point had those thoughts. And
- 1:30:31typically you would imagine when the death of a loved one as close as your
- 1:30:39mom, a child, your dad, you have some type of law.
- 1:30:45But he said, his kids is why he never could go through with it.
- 1:30:49His children kept wondering why and what would happen to them. He didn't
- 1:30:55want to leave them with that. And that's how you had to remember,
- 1:31:00those are the people who will be left with that, Explaining that and dealing
- 1:31:03with that, trying That's what I've always said that when people suicide, you
- 1:31:08know, people think that they do, they really do more hurt. You
- 1:31:13know, you're leaving because of the things that you leave back here, and
- 1:31:15so that's why you have suicide prevention and all that that people are reaching out
- 1:31:19and somebody can help out because it's more hurt on the other side once you
- 1:31:24you did that thing and the people have to pick up the pieces from there.
- 1:31:29Command you great said that Stephen A. Smith has thoughts of replacing Jimmy
- 1:31:34Kimmel on the Late night circuit. What show is Jimmy Kimmel on? Now?
- 1:31:42Jimmy Kimmel's show? M Uh he replaced was Stephen Colbert? I don't
- 1:31:49know he created for him. There wasn't one on ABC. And so what
- 1:31:56was David Letterman CBS Jimmy and what were Jimmy Fallon? And what was Jimmy
- 1:32:01fallon? Who did he replace? Leno replaced Carson Carson? And who did
- 1:32:11David Letterman replace David lean Well, he left because he didn't get the job
- 1:32:15from Leno, and they gave Leno the job. So CBS gave David Letterman
- 1:32:18his night show. That's how that came about. Because Letterman used to write
- 1:32:24for Carson, and I think that. So there was no show that Jimmy
- 1:32:30Kimmel replaced, right, His show was are original, Right, ABC didn't
- 1:32:36have a late He had a show called a man Show. What was that
- 1:32:41on m TV? M t V? He he had like a prank show,
- 1:32:45comedy show. Can you see stephen A. Hope being able to hold
- 1:32:47down an audience? Is his audience? A funny thing happened with Joe Biden.
- 1:32:55He and Kamla have were doing politics. But he would say that he
- 1:33:05was saying because he's reading the tailor problem. William Twitty, do you think
- 1:33:12your boy stephen A. Smith can hold down? Because to me, it's
- 1:33:16because almost saying Jason Whitlock on him to critique him every night. His commentary
- 1:33:20is not that of like the or Late Night Show. But so CBS,
- 1:33:27that's what I was asking earth. We read somewhere we're talking about Chappelle.
- 1:33:30So it's the first stephen A Or I don't know that's that that that is
- 1:33:34no way. That's like trying to watch Charles and Gail King. I've never
- 1:33:41have y'all seen that show. I tried one time. I thought it was
- 1:33:44an idea. I didn't know actually, and I think it was Colbert that
- 1:33:46replaced. Yeah, Cobert replaced let him. Okay, but no the King
- 1:33:53Charles. No, I haven't seen it. I've been reluctant. I've been
- 1:33:59avoiding it. Actually, be honest, I'm just not. Yeah, Shannon
- 1:34:02Shark gives me more late night than Stephen A. Smith. I've listened to
- 1:34:10his Nightcap podcast. He's kind of all over the place. I don't know
- 1:34:13if you do well, like kind of a structure. And now I was
- 1:34:16going to say, in many of the platforms that I've seen him participate in
- 1:34:20outside of network and streaming services, he says that he is the sole proprietor
- 1:34:26of those shows, executive producer, producer, that kind of thing. And
- 1:34:30so that kind of autonomy can be good when you're putting stuff out, but
- 1:34:35when you try and rain that in with a what is in a national nightly
- 1:34:44talk show that he's got the the hours behind him, that he knows how
- 1:34:50to do it, but would he be willing to you know, Okay,
- 1:34:55skip, no problem skip. Patrick Mahomes Travis Kelcey opening up a steakhouse in
- 1:35:02Kansas City called fifteen eighty seven Steakhouse. Patrick's number Kelsey's number together, it's
- 1:35:14fifteen eighty seven steakhouse. Same people that came up with the Lebron and the
- 1:35:20Brini commercial sitting around like listener, fifteen eighty seven steakhouse. All y'all gotta
- 1:35:27do is just sign the paper and you will get what will be, especially
- 1:35:31if you find the street address fifteen eighty seven something. But local local superstars
- 1:35:38typically end up with a eatery. Yes they do. No matter what city
- 1:35:42you go to, there's an eatery named after legends of that particular city.
- 1:35:47You go to Chicago, they have Mike Dickers. Yeah, I think Michael
- 1:35:51Jordan had a restaurant at some point that that restaurant group is going to come
- 1:35:59to you. Hey. So look, all you guys got to do is
- 1:36:01sign the paper. Hey we got we got a Don Shoe was here.
- 1:36:05Oh wait minute, he was a winner. I don't understand we I mean
- 1:36:12Don shul he had a restaurant here in our city. Okay, I'm not
- 1:36:20going to help. I'm not going to do anything. We didn't say that.
- 1:36:28We were saying, most cities have the iconic people they started a restaurant,
- 1:36:32and yeah that's what I was. I forgot while we didn't do nothing
- 1:36:38here, but we had a shore. Well, do you have an example
- 1:36:41of a legend that had a restaurant here? Ted Ted Turner teds and he
- 1:36:47played for, he played for, he was an owner, I mean baseball
- 1:36:54and basketball. Can he not get some credit for that time? We got
- 1:36:57break, So get off the subject and take us to the Voyd Tech.

- 1:40:30Lane sad news UH for Blaze Taylor young Man has been arrested first degree murder.
- 1:40:38UH played at Arkansas State. UH. This story stood out for me
- 1:40:43because I called his kid when he was in called a couple of his games
- 1:40:47when he was at Arkansas State. His daddy, Trooper, was a running
- 1:40:53back special team coach at Auburn and at Arkansas State. But they have charged
- 1:41:00his son, Blaze, who was twenty seven, with first degree murder of
- 1:41:06a young lady who they have suspected to be carrying his child. So sad
- 1:41:15news. I guess it will it will be a double murder because she was
- 1:41:18pregnant at the time. So just odd things when we've had to talk about,
- 1:41:27you know, that kind of ray koof storyline, that pivot that just
- 1:41:32makes very interesting that when these things and I don't have any other details of
- 1:41:36whether it was supposed to be an abortion or any of that, but it
- 1:41:42is that he was first degree murder and possibly that he poisoned. It's taken
- 1:41:46on a while, so they took their time. I think it's been about
- 1:41:49nine ten months since the passing of the young lady. So he Blaze Taylor
- 1:41:58first degree murder or sad news for such young people when you start talking about
- 1:42:04the rest of your life. We talked about the tournament coming up. A
- 1:42:09long time tournament commentator Greg gumble We mentioned his name earlier. The seventy seven
- 1:42:16year old won't be a board this year. I know some of you like
- 1:42:23that, great. Yeah, he's just been dying his hair. He's like
- 1:42:27seventy seven, seventy eight years old. That's just been hair dye. That's
- 1:42:30why you shot. You're sitting there and you're thinking I'm talking about somebody else.
- 1:42:33No, Brian Gumbole is his brother. He's like seventy five, but
- 1:42:38Brian kind of accepted he was an older man, right, and lets you
- 1:42:44see some of the gray. Greg continues to hide it. I'm not even
- 1:42:46sure that hair dye might be a wig, but he has stepped aside.
- 1:42:53He piece it could be, yeah, but he has stepped aside for some
- 1:42:58family health issues. They didn't say whether with him or someone in the family.
- 1:43:01But he is of that age of how does he know he's seventy seven,
- 1:43:08He's born in forty six. Seventy eight this year is something? Has
- 1:43:13he just stepped away from real sports? Didn't He was Obriant is like two
- 1:43:17years younger than his brother. This is that now we want we don't have
- 1:43:24the those familiar voices for the tournament now. Jim Nance has stepped away,
- 1:43:30and now with Gumbo stepping away, I don't know who the commentators are.
- 1:43:34I think they said Adam Zucker was gonna step in for Greg Gumble. You're
- 1:43:41talking about the pregame show, but I'm saying I thought Gumble did. He
- 1:43:46did like the deaths though, didn't he? Yeah? I thought he did
- 1:43:48the desk of pregames. No, he did games as well well as well,
- 1:43:53because I know Charles and Kenny and what's the jump, Clark Kellogg and
- 1:43:58you know whoever else they have the whole there's I thought it was Gumbles off
- 1:44:00with them sometimes they were they were NBA though they do. They do that
- 1:44:06March madness, they do that. So Greg Gumble stepping away family issues?
- 1:44:12Uh so No, and as you said, Jim Nance, this will be
- 1:44:15the first year without Jim Nance, correct, right, Uh yeah, he's
- 1:44:16been stepping away from a lot of major events that he normally do with CBS
- 1:44:20Sports and some of it. I'm just bringing life to that regardless of how
- 1:44:26the suit and the makeup. Uh, these guys are pioneers, and it's
- 1:44:31we forget how long we have been hearing their voices. Yes we do.
- 1:44:35It's it's kind of what I'm saying. You think it's just been a couple
- 1:44:39of years and not really realize you've been hearing your voice since college. It's
- 1:44:44been the same great gumble, right, it just seems like it must have
- 1:44:47been a different one. But no, it's the same. And so you
- 1:44:49know he got to be getting old because he was grown when you started listening
- 1:44:54to It's just like when Dicky V comes on, if even it's for it
- 1:44:58delights people because that's been the voice of college basketball for most people since they
- 1:45:03started tuning in to college basketball. He's a dupper dune baby. Is much
- 1:45:12madness that's been since eighty five eighty you know that kind of time period that
- 1:45:16you think they'll him calling them dapper dandies because nobody diaper. Oh that's is
- 1:45:25that insulting? What I mean, they're babies, they're fron Is that insulting?
- 1:45:30No, I'm not. I love, I love, I love nicknames.
- 1:45:33Yeah, you know I got several nicknames, do you except for giant
- 1:45:36Brazilian womans. Oh, I love the Like that time when you called the
- 1:45:41Big NBA Lady WNBA lady. Remember you called her a white tiger at that
- 1:45:45time when she is she loved it? You remember on the show. I
- 1:45:48forgot her name, friend of our show, I'm sure, But I'm just
- 1:45:54saying, someone like a Greg Gumbo, if he's seventy seven, seventy eight
- 1:45:57years old, easily could tell you he's been doing this for fifty years.
- 1:46:01Yes, I do think about it when you think about it, and family
- 1:46:04health issues could be just like I can't stay up that late no more.
- 1:46:10I'm serious. Look y'all'll be going way into like ten o'clock. Come on,
- 1:46:14man, who stays up till overtime? Anyway? Yeah? I was
- 1:46:21am. I didn't recover for three days. I had to get an IV.
- 1:46:26You know what I'm saying. Come on, bron and you never know
- 1:46:29what the West Coast games start times. You really don't know those games and
- 1:46:33started ten and I think they've been they be shooting out of New York right
- 1:46:38yeah, yea, so he could be well here to the Turners Sturdy studios,
- 1:46:43all of us done here in Atlanta like where uh still East Coast time?
- 1:46:47Yeah? But yeah, so Greg Gumba won't be part of the desk
- 1:46:51this year. March MATD this is upon us. Have you filled out your
- 1:46:56bracket? Are you ready, and don't forget. Get you some Lotto tickets.
- 1:47:01They both up close to a billion, Yeah, six hundred and something
- 1:47:05for Mega they jump up fast nowadays, Yeah they do. Yeah, I've
- 1:47:10been playing mind. We'll be back with more the Sports Jock Show right after
- 1:47:13this fool. I can't believe. Don't go Awayne Bred of The Sports Jock
- 1:47:26Show with Wayne Gambidia's coming up next. And now let's talk about something exciting,
- 1:47:32life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:47:36of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have life insurance. When
- 1:47:42I was twenty five, me and my wife were just getting started with our
- 1:47:45family and thought we lived forever. Life insurance was the last thing on my
- 1:47:47mind. What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When
- 1:47:51I was forty, with a kid in college and bills piling up, I
- 1:47:54was worried how my family was survive without me. That's what I'm in an
- 1:47:57appointment with the insurance. Informant information gives you, and life insurance gives your
- 1:48:00family security no matter what stage of life you're in. Now that I'm older,
- 1:48:04I don't worry about whether I'll leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:48:08The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn
- 1:48:11a little or a lot, all you need is the insurance informat to help
- 1:48:15you build a foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:48:18two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind? Log
- 1:48:24on today benefits or bills dot com. That's benefits orbills dot com. Here's

- 1:49:31back to the Sports John Wayne Gandy. Now it's time for the school board
- 1:49:39when we put a spin on life and sports and how they intermingle on the
- 1:49:45Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy. Damn today, just another day living,
- 1:50:08Just another day around the way today, one way to this one Shock show.
- 1:50:17I'm this one shock wing Kanty high School girls wrestling. It's on the
- 1:50:25rise. Did y'all know that is the fastest growing high school sport in the
- 1:50:29country. All the girls are into the high school girls wrestling and that is
- 1:50:34very strange because in the time that we've left high school, I don't remember
- 1:50:42that they had a girls wrestling team. And I used to wrestle, so
- 1:50:45I would remember. Now, yeah, I don't think they used to have
- 1:50:48a wrestling team. And now it's the fastest emerging sport, growing sport in
- 1:50:55high school. And remember we were doing those stories originally. That was one
- 1:50:59of the first situations where we had the transgender was into wrestling to Mac Macbee
- 1:51:03Macbear. So that's been like what eight years ago over the past decade,
- 1:51:10the number of high school girls teams have quadrupled nationally and a number of girls
- 1:51:15wrestling and high school close to fifty thousand last year, and as in a
- 1:51:21related story, a bullying of girls in high school is gone down. They
- 1:51:28ain't trying. They try, Hey come in little so just an interesting sport
- 1:51:38for girls to be dominating that start. Yeah, to find that much interesting
- 1:51:43because wrestling, for you have never seen it. It's some real training.
- 1:51:48I couldn't figure out what they were on the cross country team. They spent
- 1:51:53most of the time running, running and cross like man crab walk? What
- 1:51:58is the man coach made us running the KFC? Why we keep passing the
- 1:52:04track team? What what is this about? Coach? I thought we were
- 1:52:09going to hit the match today. Yeah, to training is running. I
- 1:52:15think you're saying like they're just running his errands like you know, pick up?
- 1:52:20Yeah, why do we keep stopping and grabbing stuffin You said you wrestled.
- 1:52:26Why was the crab walk? I mean that was the one you see
- 1:52:28that they one of the training things that they did. Uh. The strain
- 1:52:32on your muscles when you're trying to not only keep someone from throwing you,
- 1:52:39but in return throwbos people can get if you if you hold that for seconds,
- 1:52:45it'll exhaust the muscle. So crab walking builds up a tolerance and resistance
- 1:52:51to that kind of strain on the muscles. And we used to have to
- 1:52:55do it for fifty sixty yards at a time, and then they would top
- 1:53:00speed time it so you couldn't take your time doing They wanted it quick and
- 1:53:06agile and all of that stuff. And uh again for girls to be and
- 1:53:13and then the is running the other ten percent, it's people slamming you on
- 1:53:17a thin matt. So for girls to be entering that sport and dominating in
- 1:53:21those numbers is amazing. We talked about making documentaries. Guys, U we
- 1:53:28know a couple of people chimed in online with names like Marcus Allen. I'm
- 1:53:34quite sure, O, Jay, who did you say? Yeah? They
- 1:53:40had doctor Cheff, Chef Walter had doctor J and Kobe Marcus Allen Jared I
- 1:53:46want a listener. And then Chef also had Luca duncan Well Twitty, I
- 1:53:56mean, excuse me, William Twitty. When we throw things out, we
- 1:54:00don't need to give you nine people, So Chef got to pick one.
- 1:54:05Okay, you got that's kind of how things work. I don't know how
- 1:54:11people hear things. And I ask you what who you want to see?
- 1:54:16So basically you want to see the sports work. If you want to start
- 1:54:19naming three people, basically you want me to just making one. I'm talking
- 1:54:21about just one person, anybody that was popular when I was growing up.
- 1:54:27I figured Chef would have picked out the people in Michigan. He would Philodeath.
- 1:54:30So comment you, Greg, who would you like to see? That
- 1:54:34don't mean it's not gonna change in September, just right now. Who would
- 1:54:39you like to see a documentary? Mhmm. You're supposed to think about this.
- 1:54:49Ye I did it, and like it was like twelve different people.
- 1:54:54I guess, Okay, see what you just said. I guess someone like
- 1:55:00just from Larry Johnson, Larry Johnson, Okay, Larry Johnson, William Tweitety
- 1:55:08my man Barry Bonds because he didn't talk, did not talk to the media,
- 1:55:12and we really want to know what Barry Bonds was about. Big Kenny,
- 1:55:16Danny Ainge, Danny, and then Jahn Moran pull up and he'd be
- 1:55:24like, oh dude, and I would like to see one on mister Big
- 1:55:31chess. Oh, Antonio Brown, Oh, that would be spooky. That'd
- 1:55:38be like reality TV. I mean, because it would be everywhere. There
- 1:55:42would be no sitting There wouldn't be any sitting him down talking to him.
- 1:55:45They just followed him around and he'd make comments to the camera and they would
- 1:55:50you know, that would have been a good one. Aaron Rodgers his vote
- 1:55:55for VP, Commanding Gray says that's over. No more VP for Anon Rogers.
- 1:56:00He was spoken about under the r f K Junior administration. Uh,
- 1:56:05maybe running with r f K Junior for Vice president. You said that that's
- 1:56:10no longer available, that he is he is no longer on the short list,
- 1:56:16okay, and that RFK Junior has actually made a choice of his VP
- 1:56:24running mate. Aaron Rodgers said he wasn't going for VP. He wanted to
- 1:56:29be King of the Realm or something. You know. It was so it
- 1:56:33was so funny that everybody was mad at him because they said he didn't He
- 1:56:38kept saying that the shooting in New York Sandy Hooks was it was fake,
- 1:56:43but then people they went back where when it actually happened. He did say
- 1:56:46he felt sorry and showed actual footage where he was given concern and an apology.
- 1:56:51So and I think he just pulled pulled back away. That was a
- 1:56:55lot of the problems going with that. And it would have been playing if
- 1:56:59he's gonna be playing football this year. He can't do that and run for
- 1:57:03office at the same time that I thought he could. On the you know
- 1:57:11one, you could play a little literally working Saturday Sunday at the same time
- 1:57:20in there so at the same at the same how that works, Rogers,
- 1:57:30you just defeated the Cowboys. What are you gonna do next? I'm gonna
- 1:57:33run for president and we are in the ocean. The truth is he will
- 1:57:43throw your in the ocean. It's time to wrap things up. On the
- 1:57:47Sports June Show with Wayne Candy Cash Frooms everything around me win get the money
- 1:58:11Stallar Dollar. Well, he decided an ocean against your sport. Shout just
- 1:58:15a minute to Vin would like to thank you for tuning in to today's show.

- 1:58:30your Greg is gonna upload and you can hear us all over again on for
- 1:58:35the first time William Twitter commanding Greg bad. I mean Big Kenny, the
- 1:58:42funny man himself. I appreciate your contributions today. I just have a couple
- 1:58:48of names, but all of you will know Saint John's, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh,
- 1:58:58Memphis, and any of you college basketball programs that have declined invites to
- 1:59:06the NIT. I thought you was in college to play basketball. It's not
- 1:59:15the NT fault. You weren't good enough to make the Big Dance. It's
- 1:59:23your fault. But coaches, you get paid to play basketball. Any basketball
- 1:59:30that's still available. Isn't that a good thing for your program? What makes
- 1:59:35you so elite? Obviously you're not because you're not in the tournament. To
- 1:59:42snub your nose up at the NIIT, the NIIT was established to give you
- 1:59:48something more basketball, and if you can't make the tournament, sounds like you
- 1:59:54need more basketball. That's what it sounds like to me. For all your
- 2:00:00teams, I think you're too good to go be part of the n I
- 2:00:03T. Walk the clank half y'all ain't going to class anyway, he said,
- 2:00:16you might. Will just take you next two to three weeks and go
- 2:00:19to n I T shots. I'm a rate muster pulled. I ain't going
- 2:00:24to class anyway. You gonna go down here the overtime elite and keep playing
- 2:00:29too good for the n I T I tell you. We hope you have
- 2:00:31a nice week, a nice weekday, the rest of your day. Excuse
- 2:00:35me, Big Kenny William twinty, command you, Greg cash everything around me.
