- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Hey everyone, welcome back to the Beyond Limits podcast.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Today we are talking about mastering conviction because conviction is the difference between good money and extraordinary money.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Now, conviction comes down to personal power.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: And people love to talk about personal power.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: It gets thrown around constantly, like being your power, own your power, stand in your power.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: But what does that actually mean?
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: Because if we were to strip away all of the trendy language around it, personal power is really one thing.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Personal power is the stability of your identity under pressure.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: That's all it is.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: And that personal power is one of the biggest sales drivers in your businesses.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: It's not your funnel, it's not your strategy, it's not your copy, it's your personal power.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: Because all of those things without personal power, it's not going to do anything.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: If you got personal power and, you know, not as good copy, not as good funnels, not as good strategy, you'll still go a lot farther.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: And if you have all of those things, but no personal power, right?
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: No power, no engine driving it forward.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: And so today we are going to be talking about why your conviction keeps collapsing and how to ensure it doesn't collapse again.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: So you already know what it's like when you show up in your power, right?
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: What happens when you're in your power and people are buying and sales are coming in and you feel on top of the world, you're more creative, right?
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Ideas are coming through, downloads are flowing, your energy is magnetic, you're buzzing, your stories, they are on fire.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: It feels like content writes itself, right?
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: Your conviction is through the roof, your energy is contagious, right?
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Everything just feels easy.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: You feel unstoppable.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: But then out of nowhere, you hit a lull, right?
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Three people who said they would join, you know, crickets.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: Sales on your product, you know, they're slower this week.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: Uh a major client in your agency that was going to sign, ghosted, or they cut their contract.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: They're going in a different direction.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: And then you find yourself questioning everything.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: What did I say the wrong thing?
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Was it my price too high?
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Do they even like my offer?
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: Is it me?
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: And just like that, your conviction wobbles.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: It becomes conditional based on what reality is doing outside of you.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: And then you start overthinking what to do, right?
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: You start hesitating on what's the right thing.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: You get in your head, you start second guessing, you start questioning every move.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: It's this dysregulated response.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: And you enter what I call the conviction collapse cycle.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: And it's honestly a very silent sales killer because when your conviction collapses, something that wasn't wrong in the first place, because you drop your conviction, it ends up getting worse, right?
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: It ends up spiraling even more.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: So let's talk about conviction for a second, right?
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: At its core, conviction is the unshakable belief in your offer, your product, your service, your price point, and the transformation that you provide, whatever it is.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: You could be knitting sweaters for cats, you could be selling the cure for cancer.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: It's just about your conviction behind it, your certainty.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: When your conviction is strong, people don't just listen to what you are saying, they feel it.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: Conviction is this parasympathetic dominance inside.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: You can feel when someone is convicted and they are certain, you actually feel more relaxed.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: And this is important.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: If we want to get into like the kind of psychology of sales or the nervous system of sales, it's this.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: When someone is convicted, their nervous system is relaxed.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: So your nervous system is relaxed.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: We buy from people we are relaxed from, from people who are convicted.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: That's why it's because their nervous system is relaxed, so yours relaxes.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: And subconsciously, when someone is convicted, right, it allows your nervous system to then allow the information in.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: When you see someone who is convicted about something, I mean, it could be a ninja crime, it could be a hundred K offer.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: It doesn't matter.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: Your nervous system lets go.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: It signals this is safe, this is solid.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: So what happens is you get into their brain.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: When you are convicted, people don't just hear you, they feel you.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: And when they feel that certainty, they move because their nervous system is relaxed and it has allowed what you are saying to penetrate inside.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: And then you end up living rent-free in their head.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: Like I said, personal power, conviction is a big sales driver.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: It's not your funnel, your ads, even like necessarily your content, if that is not being fueled by the underlying frequency of conviction.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: It's not even how deeply you believe in what you're offering.
- 5:50unknown: Right?
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: I've had clients who deeply believe in what they're offering.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: That doesn't mean they are convicted in what they are offering.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: And your conviction lives in your nervous system, right?
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Your personal power center, your body.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: Now, conviction is not act as if, right?
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: Acting as if it's fake.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: This is true certainty.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Now, we spoke about what happens right when you're in your power and you feel like you're a vibe and things are popping like popcorn and you're Gucci, you're good to go.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: And when you're not, you wobble.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: So this is where we're gonna break down this conviction collapse cycle for you, because then you're gonna start to see this.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: Now, there are three stages to this cycle.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: And I want you to start to audit for yourself how you go through for it so that you can see where you need to jump in and end this cycle so you can get out of this loop.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: So stage one is that high conviction, that dopamine peak.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: You're fully aligned with your offer, your service, your product.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: Sales are flowing, your energy is magnetic, your content is bold, you're confident, you are like, I am the baddest fish in the room.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: You feel on top of the world.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: Like nothing can stop you.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: What's happening in your nervous system is you are getting confirmation, right?
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: The sales signal safety, the engagement signals approval, the momentum signals validation.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: So you're riding this high conviction.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: Your nervous system feels secure.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: So you show up big.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: The danger is that it's an illusion because it's rooted in things outside of you.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: It's not rooted in true power, in conviction.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: It's conditional, which is gonna lead us to the second stage because stage two, right?
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: Conviction that is conditional, that's always being fed by external confirmation will always collapse.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: So this is where we get stage two, which is that wobble trigger, right?
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: Something shifts, sales end up slowing, engagement drops, right?
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: Or you see Karen hitting another, whatever, 100k month, million dollar month, bajillion dollar month, and you're stuck in neutral or you feel like things have been slow.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: So your nervous system kicks in, your amygdala activates, and it asks, is something wrong?
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: Are we losing status and are we safe?
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: Goes through those three questions.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: And if your identity is externally referenced, your nervous system starts spiraling, right?
- 8:09SPEAKER_01: It's not calm.
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: Instead, it's like, I messed up, I'm missing something.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: Maybe I said the wrong thing, maybe my price is too high, maybe I'm doing it wrong.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: And this is where the collapse begins.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: You start that overthinking, that hesitating, that questioning, right?
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: Because the external triggers like slower sales or you know, someone not agreeing or it not validating right away makes your conviction take a hit.
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: So you start editing, you start softening, you start checking, you start comparing, which brings us into stage three, which is that collapse mode, where your brain prefers identity coherence over business growth, right?
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: You end up losing your spark.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: You end up retreating.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: And because you're trying to resolve the threat, you're trying to regulate discomfort, except for it's not true regulation, because you end up regulating away instead of regulating through.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: And that's where it turns into a cycle because it keeps happening.
- 9:10SPEAKER_01: You don't transcend this loop because you never build the conviction to get there, right?
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: That isn't dependent on things outside of you.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: So then you collapse until maybe you get a little bit of external hit, and then you feel good until, and then you don't get it again, and then we go into this collapse, right?
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: And you can feel when you're in that collapse, things feel forced, right?
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: Your energy dips, everything starts feeling heavy.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: Instead of leaving with boldness, you're stuck in your head or you're overanalyzing, or everything just feels like you're drudging, your magnetism dies off.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: It's like your conviction is a Wi-Fi signal, right?
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: It's strong, right?
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: Everything flows, content uploads effortlessly, DMs flood in, sales are coming.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: But when it wobbles, right?
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: When the outside wobbles, you buffer.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: But when you build internal personal power, right, it's like being landlocked.
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: It's like being turned on and it's being plugged in all the time.
- 10:07SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: And I want you to remember this because sales don't slow because of strategy, sales slow because your conviction wobbles.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: What was wasn't slow was actually just number fluctuation that you then misinterpreted that caused your conviction to go down, and then that caused a downward spiral because of how you labeled it, because of how you interpreted, and suddenly one thing that wasn't actually a thing has now become a thing because you outsourced your power and you dropped your conviction on it.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: So this is a cycle.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: You start off on that high conviction, you're getting the external confirmation, but then there's a trigger.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: And that trigger activates a threat.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: That threat makes you doubt yourself, then you end up contracting, sales slow even further, and you go into more doubt.
- 10:51SPEAKER_01: And now you're in this loop.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: And this is called or what I call the conviction collapse cycle.
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: And it will repeat until your conviction becomes internalized.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: And the real root of this is that your nervous system has not yet normalized power without validation, right?
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: You are used to conviction equals confirmation.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: So when the confirmation stops, the conviction drops.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: That is conditional power.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: And conditional power cannot scale to millions and multimillions in a way that feels light.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: Otherwise, it's always gonna feel like this emotional roller coaster.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: You're up and then you're down, and you're up and then you're down, and sales are up and you feel great, and then they come down and you feel the type of way.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: And then it's volatile, right?
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: It's not good for the system.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: So, what does million-dollar conviction look like?
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: This is unwavering conviction that is not hype, it is neutral, right?
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: Sales dip, neutral.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: Objection, neutral.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: You see people doing things on the internet, you feel neutral.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: Silence, neutral.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: Not because you necessarily don't care, but because your identity is not attached to the fluctuation.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: And this is the key here.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: The reason you're able to remain neutral is because your identity is not attached.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Your baseline is stable.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: When your identity is not attached, the nervous system stays neutral because it does not equate data with danger.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: And right, so your presence doesn't shift.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: And because your presence doesn't shift, sales keep growing.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: Going back to the analogy from before, right now, your conviction is like Wi-Fi.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: Strong when the signal is good, buffering when the signal drops.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: Multi-million, million-dollar conviction is like Ethernet, hardwired, unshaken, doesn't wobble, depend on what the outside is doing.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: So I want you to think about if your conviction collapses every single time the room shifts, you will keep rebuilding momentum from scratch.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: And that's exhausting because your power goes up, and then when it goes down, you have to do this heavy lift.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: And this ends up capping your income because extraordinary money requires extraordinary power, not extraordinary hype.
- 13:02unknown: Right.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: And if you were to be honest with yourself, you can see from this episode where you are in this loop, right?
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: The high, the wobble, the collapse, the rebuild.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: But here's the piece that most people get wrong is that they think the problem is that they just need stronger conviction.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: No, the problem is that your nervous system is still attaching that identity to outside and it doesn't trust that yet.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: And until it does, it's going to keep looping.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: Now, this is where it gets advanced because I want to bring this in for you is a lot of entrepreneurs confuse conviction with dopamine, right?
- 13:40SPEAKER_01: With feeling that high.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: I want you to really examine, right, when sales are flowing and you're on fire, right?
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: And you're really in that sympathetic mode, you'll notice because it feels frantic.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: It feels high in your body, like it actually feels like a chemical rush.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: It's giving you the illusion of power, but it's actually not stable, it's just chemically elevated.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: So when that drops, your system misinterprets the drop as danger, and then you panic and you think conviction left.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: It didn't, your dopamine just wore off.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: The real issue here is that your baseline nervous system is not neutral, it's braced.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: And so when momentum slows, you don't stay calm, you go back into threat.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: And that's why silence feels heavy, right?
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: That's why slow, slower times can feel scary.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: That's why comparison hits so hard, because your nervous system equates no simulation or no stimulation equals loss of safety.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: But when you chase the dopamine hit of like stimulation and your entire power is built from that, then when the dopamine falls, you'll collapse every single time.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: And this is the very thing that's exhausting your nervous system.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: So this is where the identity upgrade comes in because breaking the cycle is not about staying hyped.
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: It's not about, okay, how do I get more and more and more dopamine?
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: Because it's always going to crash.
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: It's about becoming unmoved and actually grounding your power inside, where you're unmoved by sales fluctuations, by metrics, by social comparison, by objections, by things that you feel are delayed because your identity is integrated.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: And so that integrated identity means that your nervous system no longer uses external validation to confirm internal worth.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: That's the shift.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: I want you to ask yourself, where am I using my nervous system to use external validation as internal worth?
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: And you'll know because you feel great when it's validating and not so great when it's not.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: So there are three main stabilizations that I want you to focus on with this.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: Number one, right, is stabilizing your price inside of your body.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 15:51SPEAKER_01: And this is so that objections don't trigger any kind of contraction.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: So you don't end up entering the stage two, which is collapse.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: Most people think that becoming empowered or being in your power around prices is kind of like a mindset thing.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: It's not.
- 16:05SPEAKER_01: It's a nervous system anchoring issue.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: When you state your price, your nervous system instantly scans.
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: Will I be accepted at this level?
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: Will this create rejection?
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: And will I lose belonging?
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: If your body has not normalized that number as safe, you will feel a microcontraction.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: You'll feel it in your chest, in your throat, it might actually close, you know, contract, your voice gets a little wobbly.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: And you would have heard me, I think, say this in previous episodes.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: You should be so convicted in your pricing that you say it as matter of fact as you say what time it is.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: You know, right now it's 3.04 p.m.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: Not 3.04 p.m.
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: And that contraction is visible, right?
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: Because when you contract, and we'll be talking about this even more in future episodes, but your breath shortens, your shoulders tighten, your tone changes, your eyes start to like go around.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: Uh you're you waver, you overexplain.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: And that contraction doesn't just weaken that moment, it trains your entire nervous system to associate your price with threat.
- 17:12SPEAKER_01: And then you can't receive that which you perceive as a threat.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: And so when your system associates that number, right, that price with a threat, it's always going to unconsciously underprice or add an unnecessary bonuses or justify your discount or attract people who challenge it.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: When you stabilize your price inside your nervous system, it's when you say the number, the nervous system is like saying what color eyes you have.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: There's no adrenaline.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: I want you to watch that in your body.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: And I want you to watch, like even how it wavers for certain offers, right?
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: Certain things.
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: It might not waver at this one, but it wavers here.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: And start to feel that in your body, right?
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: Notice where it lands as neutral, like stating your name.
- 17:52SPEAKER_01: And until it feels like that, you're not stabilized.
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: That's the barometer that you know, oh, I've anchored this in.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: And that's what I feel safe holding.
- 18:00SPEAKER_01: Now, the second thing, right, to stabilize when it comes to this is silence, right?
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: So that quiet doesn't trigger collapse, doesn't trigger that stage two.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: Silence is actually one of the most, I'm gonna say advanced nervous system, like diagnostics.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: How you feel when it is silent tells you everything.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: If you want to know how your nervous system is doing, get it silence.
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: Even silence in your day, even like your need to fill the space with you know music or podcasts or noise, but silence after you say the price, silence after you launch, silence after you post, silence after you speak your truth, silence after you do something bold.
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: If silence feels either heavy or it feels unsafe, it feels like you're going into anxiety or panic, you are externally referenced.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: I love it because silence is such a big indicator for your nervous system.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: Because what happens is silence activates evaluation, right?
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: When things are silent, the brain will naturally evaluate where you are, if you're behind, like where you are in reference to other things.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: And that evaluation creates the feeling of being exposed, right?
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: And feeling exposed makes you feel vulnerable.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: Vulnerability activates that threat detection, right?
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: Your nervous system starts trying to detect all the threats outside of you.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: Threats.
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna say in quotations.
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: And most people cannot tolerate that.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: So they start moving from urgency, they fill the space, they adjust, they explain, they add urgency, they change their tone, they break eye contact.
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: But silence itself is neutral.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: What happens, right, and what ends up destabilizing you is the meaning that your nervous system assigns to it.
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: If quiet equals, well, I'm I'm losing them, you're gonna scramble.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: If quiet equals processing, you'll be fine.
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: Right, you'll be in your power.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: Wealthy nervous systems don't experience silence as danger.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: It's just space.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: And this is a very important difference because that difference is what determines whether you collapse into doubt or whether you stay in certainty long enough for things to land.
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: If you cannot tolerate quiet, you cannot hold expansion because expansion always includes space.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: And then the third thing to work on stabilizing is stabilizing comparison.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: And so this is so other people's expansion doesn't end up fragmenting your own identity.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: And this is one of the deepest things I see, especially in women, right?
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: You're stable, you're convicted, you're feeling good until you see someone else expand who's quote unquote doing better than you, and suddenly your body shifts.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: Maybe you feel a drop in your stomach, a pressure in your chest, your thoughts start, you know, spiraling.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: Not even necessarily because you're jealous, though you might actually be jealous too, but simply because your nervous system registered a status movement.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: Now, this is important because humans evolved to track hierarchy for survival.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: So when someone in your proximity rises, your brain asks, are we safe here?
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: Did we fall behind?
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: And are we losing position?
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: Because it's all in comparison to someone else.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: Now, this is magnified because nowadays there are so many comparison points, right?
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you go on social media and there's 50 million comparison points that we didn't have 50 years ago, let alone 500 years ago, and we're just living in a tribe.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: So there's so much more points that your then system is trying to go through to determine where it stands within the tribe.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: So if your identity is externally referenced, their expansion becomes your contraction, right?
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: Your certainty wobbles, you start to feel differently.
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: Because your system is trying to assess where it fits in.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: Someone else's success does not move your center when you're in your power.
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: Not because you're suppressing the reaction, but because your nervous system does not interpret their expansion as your threat.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: You don't feel urgency, you don't feel scarcity, you don't feel behind, you remain self-referenced.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: And self-referenced identity cannot fragment.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: But until that stabilizes, your conviction will always be conditional.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: Because the moment, right, the external environment shifts, you'll shift with it.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: And in this day and age, no matter what, there is always going to be someone who's quote unquote ahead of you.
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: There's always going to be someone making more money, someone who is, I don't know, thinner than you or fitter than you, or has something that you don't have.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: And so this is why it's important, because like I've said in previous episodes, our brain has not evolved nervous system-wise and capacity-wise to easily handle the amount of comparison that you naturally do just being exposed on social media.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: And so this is why it's so important to rewire your nervous system so to match basically the level of comparison that simply happened just from existing in our day-to-day world right now.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: So this is the underlying pattern, these three things: stabilizing price, silence, and comparison.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: When you do this, your nervous system will stop sourcing power externally.
- 23:30SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: With price, will they accept me?
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: With silence, am I losing them with comparison?
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: Am I falling behind?
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: Those are the three main things.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: If power is external, it'll always be conditional.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: And conditional conviction cannot scale.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: Million dollar, multi-million dollar conviction is not louder, it is simply solid.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: And so you can see how you don't end up really losing conviction.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: You simply lose regulation.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: And until your personal power is unwavering, you'll always need more belief.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: You'll always need that dopamine height.
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: You'll always need more of that.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: Versus, you know, and this is a thing with the conviction collapse cycle, is that it can be silent.
- 24:09SPEAKER_01: You don't necessarily notice it in the beginning.
- 24:11SPEAKER_01: You just feel heavy or you feel confused or you feel lost or you feel doubtful.
- 24:17SPEAKER_01: But now that you've seen it from this episode, you cannot unsee it.
- 24:21SPEAKER_01: Sales don't slow because strategy failed, they slow because of your conviction.
