- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's great to have back on the show Josh to bow the associate press who just wrapped up his second decade covering the NFL his 10th decade covering the San Francisco 49 is getting ready to cover the Super Bowl between the Seahawks and the Patriots and one of the smart if you follow Josh on acts, you know that he he knows things that few people know if you've heard him on the show before you know he understands the inner workings of the league better than most.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: scheduling any of that stuff so we can get into whatever, but I must say watching JSN and Pook and Akua do battle.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think they can buy over 300 yards each at a touchdown or the 19 catches, but just looked like true, true, receiver ones.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: I just, you know, it was a reminder of how the 49ers have never have not had quite a true number one, even I you, given D. But not the way that those guys, no, I don't think those guys, you know, we're there, we have, you, D. Boe combo was, obviously, it was a good, you know, that was a pretty good combo, but it's not me, the one was quite the core of Jason.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was guys are.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: So good.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's definitely a difference.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: Watson that they're watching, you know, with the
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think the debate, not not the debate.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: One of the big topics fairly sell rightly so.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think the big question you ask after game like that is, okay, what's the gap?
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I, the nighters had a chance going into the last week of the season to be the number one team in the university, and which would have been the number one team in the NFC West.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: The season ends there clearly number three team in the NFC West, but you know, those, those can be, those are chairs that can move around.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: What is your perspective on the question, how far behind the top of the division are that, if there's, as if there's a way to quantify it, but yeah, I'm just definitely
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: from the, obviously from this year, or what they were compared to to those teams, I think the Rams and Ciax will clearly better overall.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, obviously the Rams, you know, they split the Ciax and reduce Ciax and, the Rams and reduce Ciax and get a same record in the Rams and one gave, and two games behind Ciax.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: So standing as far as it was, but when you watch the teams are definitely,
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there's definitely got, you know, you watch with the Niners did against bad teams, for what the Niners did against good teams, and there's a pretty big difference, especially offensively.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, defensively, I'll put aside for just because it's hard to sort of judge with the Niners where defensively without Warner and Boca, but offensively, for the most part, they had an
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: You miss Kittle obviously the playoff game and then for a little bit the regular season.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: But for, you know, they have, I think nine of their 11 starters playing the playoff game on offense from week one, they had, you know, offensively they had them, they were relatively healthy offensively basically it's been barred in Kittle and then, you know, like,
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: But offensively, there's definitely gap between the receiver.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's basically the receivers.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe the interior of the offensive line a little bit too.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: But the receivers, it's just a huge gap to do with an either side of what those teams have.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, and the way the Rams have found a way obviously kiddo is is a major impact.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just the nighters have other because of the way they throw the ball to Christian.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: They don't need to have two other tight ends that also catch the ball, but the ram you did that this year, you know, I still think in the grand scheme and I'm with you like I thought that things got as fun as it was to watch him, I actually said that I forgot that I said this after the season, but I thought I learned more about Brock in the Seattle game in the playoffs.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: then I did watch it and play the cults.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not that I've reached some grand conclusion after watching them play the sea ox in the place, but I did think, you know, one of my takes on Brock now, a couple year, 2023 was the year where him and Dak going in the last month of the season were MVP candidates.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: And then he has the four interception game on Christmas against the Ravens and Dak, you know, and Lamarins are putting it.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then last year was last
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: in a positive way, one thing I've seen from Brock Perti is the floor is pretty high.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think I know where the floor is now.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's one reason and you're right for the associated press.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: The MVP, the APMDP is going to be announced.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: Probably won't be a running back.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: Again, this year.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: Probably won't be able to go back.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: They were throwing back their finalists.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's all I can say.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: But like, I, you already know who won.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't actually.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so like for me,
- 4:51[SPEAKER_01]: Matthew Stafford would have got, I'm not an AP voter, Matthew Stafford, I'm not an AP member, Matthew Stafford, what have you got my vote?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm very hesitant, and I am a Heisman voter, and I've buddy of mine, Vic, texting me after the National Championship game.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: He said, do you feel better about your Heisman vote now?
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: Cause I voted for Fernando Mendoza, and I said, I really do.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I think the Heisman there are years where there is a true Heisman, like that is what the Heisman is supposed to be.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's other years where someone's got to win it.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: And I wasn't sure what this year was.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: In hindsight, I think really a special player about a special season, one the highest metrophy.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, I am always do, like I think young quarterback should win it later rather than sooner, because I just never want to look back in 10 years.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, oh, you remember that year that
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: It may be that CJ Strauss should have won one, and it may be that CJ Strauss shouldn't have won one.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: And it may be that Drake may should have won one.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: I guess my point is on that at the point with Drake May where I know 10 years from now, we'll look back and go like, yeah, that was an MVP.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know how to do it earlier though.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think the other, like Marina went since in year two, the home to his first, his first year as a starter, Lamara went his first in his first full year as a starter.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: And those guys were proven, like their careers have proven.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: Do we know that Drake is going to prove out to be that player now we don't right and obviously this here's playoffs he's not showing that in the playoffs obviously he's done enough to to win but you know I think they've given up two touchdowns and scored one touchdown on the defense so you know he hasn't had the hardest you know the biggest responsibility to me I probably would have I don't have a vote on the AP awards we just picked the voters I probably would have voted for Stafford 2 I don't think I would have made what have been
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: But I think, you know, I probably wouldn't have been Stafford in this one.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think he's a little bit, yeah, I just think he was a little bit better overall than nothing against me, but I would get a great year too, and I think I'll be aware of the close vote based on the the all-provoting.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, well, I guess we'll find that next week for sure, but yeah, I'm with you.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: I would have been Stafford.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: It was Brock, like, yeah, I think the floor
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's definitely so much the floor is he's good enough if everything around him is good if they can compete if he's on that yeah if he's in that If you're in the Mike'sando tears world, he's you know that he's the second tear quarterback, you know whether he's you want Are these you know the seventh or eighth best quarterback you could argue that you want to use 40 to 15th whatever, you know, but he's in that range You know probably around you know 10 to 12 give or take be a little higher could be a little lower and I think he's definitely so about himself
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: there.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: And then whether they can build the team around around that, that can be good enough to compete remains to be said, you know, I think the 2024 team was good enough for a quarter back there in that range to compete for a championship.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously the game within one player weight, the 2025 team was not good enough to compete without, you know, that
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: in the quarter life, like Brock, yeah, something against Brock, the team itself was not good enough, he was not, you know, and he was not able to overcome that.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so that's going to be the question, can they build a team, can he either elevate himself into that tier one, which seems, which means seems a little unlikely, or can they build a team that can move into tier two, quarter, which, you know, plenty of teams have done.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, isn't this Super Bowl matchup, and you know, you could counter by arguing, I think the Patriots are gonna win and I think Drake may as a tier one quarterback.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think Drake may as really impressive.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: I still think true tier one guys, like, you know what I love, you know, I love to say Josh, the greatest, the most invisible Superpowers and visibility, but second is consistency.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: And you just can't this early.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: And guys get a lot, like I think it happened with Brady, it happened with Russell Wilson.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: winning a championship when you don't have to be the guy takes so much of the pressure off.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: And we see you in a different light.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: And it really is a winning before you have to be the dude.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: But like, look at these two teams in the Super Bowl.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: These are really good football teams.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they're not the best.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, that doesn't isn't this the example of like Josh Allen, clear tier one guy.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: even that guy without a good team around him doesn't get to go doesn't go to the Super Bowl, let alone the conference championship game.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't this Super Bowl a great example of in the debate of is Brock party good enough to win a championship?
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't the answer definitively yes and isn't this an example of it?
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: Leading, I'm leading the witness here, but what do you think?
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the point that obviously the question is, you know, it's easier to build the theme around when you're paying a rookie quarterback salary and, you know, Brock, this year is still doing that count.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: You know, as the accentimate this past year was not big on the salary gap, but his salary cap, it will become bigger and bigger and it'll be harder to build a team, but, you know, the issue with the Niners issue, when take Brock, take Brock off the station, perhaps they quarterback off, when the last star player, the infraction.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: And they drive it.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: Well, is IU could start player?
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, like he was, I think at least at one point.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: And that's 2020.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's not.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, you go kiddo, Warner, both the depot IU, 17 to 20, you inherited Buckner, who was there through 19, who was a star player.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I don't ever comes in the court, which is star, was a very good player.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: You obviously acquired Trent Williams in the category who are star players.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then Brock, and then Brock decide, you know, whether he needs a lead, not lead, whatever, you know, they have not added around the quarterback a star player since it's a subscription, right?
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's the last star player that brought, they brought on the guys they signed, you know, they signed to bond hard grade to because our key wasn't that, they said, you know, guys they've signed, guys, they haven't traded for one, they haven't signed one, they haven't drafted one, since Christian, they haven't drafted one period since I you basically.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: And if you look at the Rams and the C-Hawks, you've got like versus in the Kua Young Starbire, you have Jason, you have with their spoon, you have even more, maybe, you know, like the impact, what the Young Impact players that those two teams have compared to what the Niners have, like, who's the best young Niners player outside of, they could block out, you know, take order back out from it, in terms of what you've building around the quarterback, who's the best young player on the
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: There's the Amadorian.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: 28, I think.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, not right, but he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not that level of player.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: He's good, but he's not.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if you had just seen a healthy peer saw season based that look like his first month, his first month, he was.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, it's for it, it's three and a half games.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: I am staying.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, as you said, the best availability is consistency.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: Right, we saw it for what?
- 11:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like two games at the end of 24 and three and a half games in the beginning of this year.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: But basically, you know, and he's not, there's nothing that you saw that says he's poopin' a corgi, a second, like, even with that, right?
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: You're not putting it, even those games were not that level of player.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: I thought the guy that we saw earlier was good enough to replace Bernie and I, you could.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: Right, but Bernie, you could not have that level.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: Right, like they have, like they need.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, as great as your expression had, he's not the explosive, but he's not the big one.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's sorry, the number of big plays he had were not there, the number of it's, you know,
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: He's great as the running was not so great this year, part of a blocking part of it, I think he's just not as it doesn't seem as explosive as he was maybe two years ago, if you don't really have the big play the big play guy on offense anymore.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so how do they get it, you know, I saw Dale Gerer, I'm sure you saw Dale Gerer, my mock draft one point of today.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: had the 49ers taking Oregon tight and Kenyan Sadie who is a, who will not last the 20 set, even Daniel wrote it.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: You're saying he's going to test off the charts.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's a physical freak.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but, you know, Nikki Manori was a second round pick.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: Brady Fisk was in the first round pick.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like guys like, again, I don't think I don't think the Dico be there when they're painting, but I'll tell you that every mock draft you look at this, or every draft that happens if you looked at it and someone made that a mock, you'd be like, there's no way that guy's lasting this long.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: So it does happen.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, right, you know, how many, if you did a mock last year, that's a pro bowl or shooter Sanders in the fifth round, people are going to get crazy.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's a, you know,
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's true, but I do think Daniel, I do think Dale Jeremiah's mock drafts.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think his last mock draft always has some hints in it.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, no, I think his last mock draft, he's got a lot of intel.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think this mock draft is more of an exercise of
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: like thought process and where things stand.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: But now we've got, you know, sure.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: City could, could last.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: He could be there, um, yeah, I don't know where they get that player, um, because they have a lot of needs.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: It gets not.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like, okay, just find that one star player to put it in an offense and you're fine.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they have needs on the offensive line.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, what do you think of center of, you know, the left guard is clearly, they don't have a left guard.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I would say, Pooody has to step it up.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: Pooody has to step it up.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think, you know, think, based on what comes down to is the guys and I just drafted the last two years.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: We're exactly what they needed in 22 and 23.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: When they had the stars on the roster, if you had added Pooody and, you know,
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: Don't go else that up to the south and I've got, you know, Alperstein player Mustafa your top players like that to fill out the roster in 22 and 23.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: You probably win the Super Bowl in 23 instead of the draft that they had.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: The facing is nothing outside of party in 22 and 23.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: But now they need.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: They need to get back to find somehow getting the.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, more impact star players, which they haven't gotten and doing it when I think 28th, 27th, 28th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th, 27th,
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and not to criticize the Michael Williams picking.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't seen it.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he showed some nice things when he played, but you know, we haven't seen it a lot of him, but he didn't see my he was got it.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: That was his ceiling.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm being like the star difference making fire like see my good was a safe pick could fill in need, you know, high floor, you know, all that, but they need at some point they need to get.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: That next wave of, you know, Kittles Warner is supposed to like those level players and I just don't know.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to plan to do it.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously, I think it was Nick was on your show last week and right throw an out Justin Jefferson.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: I could that would be great if they could pull that off.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, if you can get a max cross be sure, you know, but I just don't know how realistic those options are going to be.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: I also don't know what the price is going to be so much that you can't feel any of your other holes, whether that's
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: Right, because you got some key players who the clock is ticking on.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: Like how many more years of healthy Trent Williams are you getting?
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: How many more years are you going to get a form with 100-tut season and Christian McCaffrey ever again?
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, like, you know, kiddo, it's kiddo gonna be the same player the next two or three years that he was the last two or three years.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: So how they're going to get that next wave is going to determine it more than the stuff that brought, you know, I mean, Brock has shown what he has.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he's good enough if you surround them with a team that, you know, I don't have to be quite as good as a 23 team, but you know, but if you're surrounded with a great team, he's definitely good at it.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think, you know, I know someone tired every throw that Brock and Sam Darnled made in the training camp.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: and had Brock that, you know, right.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: So you're trying to answer it, right, man.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: And if, right, Sam Darrell is going to support with a team, yes, like, so, so good Brock.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, if Brock were the quarterback in Seattle, they could go to the Super Bowl.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's still like it's, um, but now how do you build a team around, around, and that's not good again.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and by the way, I don't think any, I don't think that nine or two going to the Super Bowl of Sam Darrell's there, I'm not making my argument that no one's making anyways, but, yeah, right, yeah, right.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: So, clearly, if the question is Brock good enough,
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: when a level team see Alhat or the level team the Niners had two years ago, yes.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: The question is, can the Niners build that kind of team again?
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I just think like, to me, like, as a relates to Brock, that's what you have, that is what you have.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: If you've got Patrick Moore Holmes, that's what you have to do.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: My home beat the Niners, their defense was incredible.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: Also, like, yeah, they're defense.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: was not that great all see it was not a great deal that defense was not a great defense that defense played well in big moments in that game that was not a great defense.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: What were they ranked that year defensively they weren't a top 12 defense?
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: I said great you're right that's not yeah hey well I was in this the most of the stats on the chiefs are all skewed because if you're doing like per game stats they're completely skewed because the the chiefs in those in the 22 23 you know the second wave
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: had, they played so few drives and their drives were so long that they had, it was like eight and nine possession games instead of 12 or 13 possession games.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: So they're like points for drive versus points for game versus vastly different.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: There yards per play defensively that year was fifth and the late 4.7 tied for fourth actually.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, in 2023.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: the 20 the 2020, should I be looking at the 22 season, not the 23 season.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: The 23 season is only going to be the Niners.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they were, they were five, the 4.7 yards per play.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: What would they points for drive?
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: Do you have that there?
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, no.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we don't have to get that.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, but they were my point is just like that was that was not an incomplete team.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that incomplete team, but obviously like you look at the receivers, you know, she writes it.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's look.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying he's not.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying he's my home.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: Don't get it wrong.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you put teams or who wins the championship.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm talking about.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I just a question is, right, I think Patrick Brahms can win a super roll with a good team.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Can't win a super roll with a bad team.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: Good question is this property need a great team to want to see blow around them or is a good team good enough.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: I guess this is Seattle a great team I guess I would say Seattle I'm not sure Seattle is a great team.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: I just will know more Probably later like to me they're pretty like their defenses legit.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: They've got two good running backs all the sharpening's hurt They've got a number one receiver.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: They got solid tight and they got good offensive line
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I would also say this might be a season without any great team, so like yeah, and if we're going to have more years like this, then I think the bars is different than what it was to be the chiefs and twenty two or twenty three or be.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know, some of the better team is some of the champions who are better, yeah, I don't think this Seattle team is as good as the Eagles team last year in terms of talent right so.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: has great team.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: So, and maybe we're going through like four or five year period.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think in the you go basically from the early 2000s, there weren't great teams winning.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when the Ravens, the first Patriots team, the box team, it was a great team, it was a great team, it's been out of great team.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the next Patriots team gets a little bit of a bit of the Steelers team that won.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: You know, a bunch of teams that I would not categorize as great teams are winning.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then, I think lately you have, like the teams happen, you know, like the team seems to, at least because they had my homes for so good, the EGLE team is loaded.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: The numbers team that lost was a loaded team, the 23 numbers team.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: But if it's a time when you need to be a great team to win, like can they build, you know, can they build one?
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's a question.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: Right, like this year, I don't think anyone's a great team.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think Seattle's probably the best team.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think the most complete team we'll leave this year.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: I would not call them, they're great, like they're not as good as last year's Philly scene, they're not as good as, they're going to be as good as the 23 Niners?
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: No, neither one of these teams on the Super Bowl, so it's good as not to, yeah.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: Right, yeah, I would agree with that.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: So, the Niners picked the wrong year to have a great team.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no, it was, it's probably so much like, you know, that's the way it is.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: You go to the Super Bowl, the two years that moms is there, like you don't go to the, you don't go to the Super Bowl against, uh, you know, Drake May and a flawed Patriot team.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's a lot, you know, you could have the Rams and Seahawks winning Super Bowls before Kyle does and, you know, they played the Bengals in the, in the Patriots in the Super Bowl and Kyle would have played, you know, would have played most twice, right?
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: Michael, what's Kyle rooting for as you watch?
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: Who is Shanahan?
- 22:44[SPEAKER_01]: Who was he rooting for last week and who was he rooting for in two weeks?
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: He was written for Seattle.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: There's no, right?
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think so, but I don't know.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'd say total.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: I did hear the JD theory that maybe the maybe staffer would have retired if they'd won.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: I was like a theory.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: That was a good theory.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: So like in the bigger, but I don't think I would have gone to that level of thinking.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I think you would, I think it would have been.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: I can't see Sean on the second one.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I agree.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:14[UNKNOWN]: I agree.
- 23:14[UNKNOWN]: I agree.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:19[UNKNOWN]: I
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: with that full of trauma.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_01]: You think, oh, you think he'd brew for the seahawks to win the Super Bowl?
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they'd know, get the ramps.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, OK. Did you just burst the ramps?
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't think he's running for the seahawks over the Patriots.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: So you think that you think that knives are for the Patriots now?
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: That would think so.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you don't want your division to rattle with the seahawks in your stadium?
- 23:38[SPEAKER_01]: I would think that.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: I love, by the way.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: So who's the seahawks are practicing at the seahawks?
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he also stands for that.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: But the seahawks are getting the Niners locker room.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: Got it.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a visiting team.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_00]: The team up to the visiting team, but they are getting it.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think my guess is it's because they signed the locker room before the news the Niners were out or not.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: If the Niners were in the play in the Super Bowl, they would obviously get their own locker room.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: So the NFC is getting the Niners locker room, but they have to modify it, so it's not as nice.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: So what's the thing?
- 24:13[SPEAKER_00]: They have to like move things right to, so it's not a problem.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: They're practicing on the turf at San Jose State on the stadium, or they have practiced fields at San Jose State.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the practice field, they do, okay, they have a practice field on the side, I think I don't remember.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm asking somebody, I don't recall, because the standard, like you would, the stand for practice area is the best, like, it's black and plastic.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's been so long since I've been at the, at the, at the same as they, I was at the same as they, I was at the same as they, I was at the same as they, the practice field for Bill Belichet Patriots, practice one year, they stayed out here, um,
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: in between, I might be interested in Niners game in someone else, I don't know if it was Niners and Raiders.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: Is it, is it, is it, is it, are my, yeah, I was like, it wasn't back to back games against Niners and Raiders, but it was one, against one of them and then traveling the next week and they were here for the week.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: This slide would've done like 2011, I guess, maybe.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: So, yes, there's probably Raiders in 2011.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: Which one, I can't remember if you're asking us.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_01]: Speak to the Raiders, since you covered the Raiders
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: What, nine years?
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, back second for the Raiders for 18 years.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wait a second.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: So when I said you've been covering the league for 20 years, I'd shorted you a decade.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: I thought this was your 10th year covering the Niners.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you covered both teams from 16 to 22.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: OK.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: So do you think, as well as you know that organization, and the story is they once had a better offer from the Niners for Kaleo Mac, would they trade Macs, cause later the 40 the Niners, if all offers being equal and there's being better?
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: Well, all offers being equal.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: Nine offers being equal.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the Niners offer being better.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Niners offer who needs to be better for Mark Davis to sign off on that one.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: I still think he's probably got some.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's quite the same as it was when it was Mac, it was still an Oakland, but I still think Mark has some, I don't want to help the Niners out, so if it's equal, but if the Niners are, and I'm not certain they're trading him anyway, and I think things ended this season, I did not not so well, but we'll see what the new quote, you know,
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just sure, you know, what they think.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: How close they think they are, um, right?
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: They always say the right thing at the end of the year, we're not that close.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like we just the right way.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's like, they start thinking, oh, we have Fernando, look how good he look how dirty he was.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, you know, it's like, you just to prove the offensive line a little bit.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: And we, you know, we've got gentie.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we've got power, we've got to let's go.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: We, you know, we just signed a couple for ages and boom, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we
- 26:55[SPEAKER_00]: We're back to competing, the division's baby's not that strong.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going off the injury, Denver, you know, it's fine, but not for, you know, chargers are, you know, sort of leveling off a little bit.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, we can make a run.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: I never, I never go to the greatest time to be thinking of their closer than they are.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's basically been there philosophy for many years.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's been not that far away, we're not that far away.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: I agree, and they're not that far away.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: All right, the last thing, because I want to be way out ahead of this, because I know you can always, this is interesting, and I thought this is something kind of...
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: up your alley a little bit.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, a little bit a lot of it.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: So the Niner schedule next year is obviously significant, Lee, more difficult than this year's schedule was.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: And this year's schedule got a little more difficult than the, um, than the initial look at it, uh, indicated it would be.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: But the Niner's road games are Dallas, Kansas City,
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: the Chargers non-divisional, the Chargers, the Giants, the Falcons, and in their home games, they have a nine-home game state, road games, and you and I talk about this a little bit the other day, but the Vikings, the Dolphins, the Raiders, the Broncos, the Commanders, the Eagles, and I'm not missing anybody.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think the question is like,
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: The only way for this schedule to get even more difficult is where the games are and when they are.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: And what's your read on an international game or two for the 49ers?
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: Do you see one coming?
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think the hair, I think it's a good chance to do your hip-hop home game.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: They've wanted their due to hip-hop home game.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: They've not given up a home game since before they moved into Levi's.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: And now with the 17th game, like everyone has to, and they've been, I think, holding out for a Mexico.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: If I had on the road there against the Cardinals, it's kind of a war year that was at the 2021.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember what year that was.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: You remember, Francisco Jazz played Mexico that well.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, thank you.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: Um, well, I can't read two rated games there.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's fun.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: I enjoyed Mexico.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but uh, yes, so the, I mean, they would like to get, if they have to play an international game, if they'd like to, and give up a whole game, they would like it to be in Mexico.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, after the Rams have an opener.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, in Australia.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, and you know that they would love to not play the United
- 29:25[SPEAKER_00]: Correct.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I, yes, I think they would, they would love as a, they're probably two different factions in the building.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: This is on the very fact that I'm sure with love, not, you know, it's like it's not a great home to other bands, when they're playing the miners there, we all know, you know, it's more an enterprise, usually than Ram's fans.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm guessing, based on the reaction from Charger's fans when they moved the key scheme this year to Brazil, which is a similar thought process.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: that season taking holders would not be happy.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you do a branch season taking holders, who would probably, who either, like, selling their nighter's games tickets to nighter's fans and, like, paying for the rest of the season tickets or want to go that.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, my guess is the business side might be like, no, we don't want to give that up and the football side might be sure.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: That'd be great when to give up.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the Rams home schedule is pretty awesome next year.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they'd love to go, maybe go play the Cardinals then.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: They play the Cowboys at home, the Giants at home, the Chiefs at home, the Chargers at home.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: I say awesome about like a ticket selling standpoint.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_01]: It comes at home and the Packers at home.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: That is an excellent.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's really, that's an excellent schedule.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: No, but I also wonder is, and I have not heard from the NFL is when they're going to do the Australian game.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: Because if obviously I weak won,
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: but I wonder how early they can do it because Labor Day's late this year.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: Labor Day is the seventh, right?
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: I believe.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what Labor Day is the week before.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I believe, I believe Labor Day, so I believe the season starts, yeah Labor Day is the seventh.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: So the first Sunday of the season is the 13th.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: So the Thursday night opener is the 10th.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: which is a week basically a week later than a six days later than it has been.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like I wonder if they could play the game in Australia on Labor Day, like on the seventh, would give them basically would give the returning team.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_00]: essentially a buy they wouldn't play against the 20 weeks a week zero college triple game yeah it's such a week zero college triple play to the going to arrive the week zero and basically would give you a full week you play the seventh you'd be off the weekend of the 13th in the play your second game on the 20th
- 31:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I wonder how early they can push that game.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: I can't imagine that the Brazil game on the Friday, I can't imagine that they're going to put, they got teams not enough travel to play on Friday and Australia, and then come back nine days later to play your next game.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_00]: But if you could make it as early as the seventh, it makes it a little more appealing probably for team.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, means training camps starts earlier.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: You have a longer, more exposure to substations, and then you know, you have, you know, you don't have more exposure to just have earlier exposure.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_00]: Or it go longer, you have another week there, though.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_00]: So like, yeah.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_00]: But no, we're like, if you,
- 32:21[SPEAKER_00]: Could start that, then at least get a bite, it makes that trip a little more palatable if you're playing that game and from a TV standpoint, it seems to make more sense to play it on the six of the stuff like, yeah, I mean, but you don't want to play two international games.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, but even that right.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: But, Right, I don't think they're going to play to, I'd be surprised.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think anyone has.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how many was it ever played to, I think the jack, the jack was thinking if I had two in London, back to back, a home in a road.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: And the Vikings had the Ireland London back to back this year.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: So that's different, that's one trip with two games, which is a different, I'd be surprised if they gave a team.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I was just the Viking sort of offered to do, I think they weren't against it.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: And that may be coaching staff wise, but like ownership wasn't, yeah.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be surprised if the nine or so you'd be like, oh, yeah.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like, sign this up for Australia and Mexico City.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be surprised if they get the two.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like if they do, be something that they'd have to agree to, and I'd be willing to do and I'm not sure, you know, some organizations who has to do system, I think Kyle's got enough
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think the or like, you know, I know that owners are very strong and internationally, they take a lot of pride in it.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: But I also think they take pride in going to LA and playing in the ramp state and with a lot of red in the state of organization.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a big one.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I would say this, like if they told them, if you go to, if you open the season in Australia against the Rams, you don't have to give up a home game.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_00]: and you get nine home games out of it, then Jed might be like, oh, wait, don't go up the home game, give up a road game, I can do that.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: But in terms of the two games, that seems interesting, something like that in the main.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I, last thing I want to mention to you, and we don't have to talk long about this, but I do think it's really interesting.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: One of the big stories in the NFL now becomes for the next until when is every year, it's like this is,
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: McVay finding his next quarterback I think is a really fast and a really fast inning storyline, right?
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: Because that really dictates, does he stay and does he find another quarterback to succeed?
- 34:47[SPEAKER_01]: Stafford, at some point, Matthew, you know, I don't, the guy's incredible, I don't know why he wrote a retire right now.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: The amount of money these guys make can be, I think he'd be crazy to retire playing as well, he's just played and being so close to a Super Bowl and haven't like, you don't walk away from McVay and Puka and, but,
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that becomes the most fast and I don't know if he doesn't this year in the draft.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know when he does it the 27 class is supposed to be good, but I mean, we always say that.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: It looked like, you know, when they traded the first round technique, and they got the extra one this year from Atlanta, it looked like, oh, this would be, and then back in April, I was like, oh, this is going to be a quarterback draft if you're like, oh, okay, be the perfect year to do it.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_00]: You have two picks, you use one of them on a quarterback, but now it just doesn't seem like it's a quarterback.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_00]: worth taking in the first round, definitely not with the Atlanta pick.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: Now, their pick is, they're picking 29th, yeah, there should be 29th.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, is there a guy that's a second round projection, he said, okay, we could take it 29th and sit in behind Matthew for a year, you get the fifth year picking maybe, but it doesn't seem because there's that guy in this year's draft.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: And to me, that team is good enough to
- 35:59[SPEAKER_00]: if you have to sacrifice a year after staffer retirees, where you're looking for your quarterback, but you can maximize your chance of winning a Super Bowl next year, by drafting a player who can actually play, like it just seems more.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: They don't seem like the planning type.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's the right move.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_00]: Right, it's the right move.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: Right, right, right, right.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm coaching staff in your front office enough that when the time comes, you'll find another guy.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like everyone praises what the packers did with Jordan love and yet sure they have a quarterback now, but if they had drafted T-higgins in that draft instead of Jordan love, do they win?
- 36:32[SPEAKER_00]: Do they win a Super Bowl in 2021 and not lose in the championship game in 2020 and lose at home to the Niners in 2021?
- 36:39[SPEAKER_00]: Do they win a Super Bowl there in one of those years if you use that pick on a receiver who contributes right away?
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody knows.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: But they might have.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: I might have been the difference.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_00]: And their philosophy is, right?
- 36:53[SPEAKER_00]: We weren't going to quarterback early, let upset do all that.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't necessarily think that's the Rams philosophy.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_00]: when we got saffered let's go for it and then we don't have saffered, we'll figure what we're going to go what we do next, obviously they got saffered like they had, you know, they were able to do that, you know, I kind of I was talking to my brother, and Baker made, like, it's Baker makes those going to be in Tampa, this old, like, it's Baker made, could Baker make, they'll be the guy in a year or two, saffered with tires at the Rams, make a run at him and like, and then
- 37:32[SPEAKER_00]: in that role and maybe not to have to be here.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, McVay and Baker would be right.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, they that fourth down play McVay was so that they were they were right there.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: They were on their way to the Super Bowl.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what a game.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_01]: But that would be a combination worth worth watching.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we saw them against the Raiders on a Thursday night.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_00]: That was a.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: I was one of the, I was one of my favorite games of the last three, five years, whatever.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, I got that, that was, thank your shirt up on a Thursday morning, basically, and beat the winner.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: There have been some special writer games, that was definitely, that was definitely on.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: Hi, I'm Alex.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Josh.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think it's busy.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think at the beginning, I said this week, but next week.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's the Super Bowl of Rives in Santa Clara and the Pro Bowl of Rives in Moscone Center.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: Where it belongs.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_00]: I guess, how many Niners are going to show up at the Pro Bowl?
- 38:28[SPEAKER_00]: How many of the Pro Bowl, actually, uh, come?
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I mean, that's good, I mean, they're back, they'll be back from Mexico by then, right?
- 38:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_01]: You got to show up to that to the home town.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think, yeah, I think they fly.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_00]: And Christians, I'll find most of the three awards that he's probably going to have a lot of his anyway on Thursday, so just spend the week there.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: a juice juice.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's maybe maybe not trying Williams, but yeah.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we'd get for it.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: Look, effort for sure.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: If he's healthy enough to participate, which he.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but yeah, but to be honest, I'd be lying until you.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_01]: I knew what participating even means at this point.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure what it means either.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I think I'll be out there on some day.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_00]: Um, at for a ball practice.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited for that.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited for that.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right, since you've got a coach and I know that.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_00]: I still don't understand why Jerry Rice is coaching the, uh, well, I still rise.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: You've got me to go to the AFC.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
- 39:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a good question.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Steve wanted to be with the AFC quarterbacks, but
