- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hi everyone, and welcome to the almost of his podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 2: I wanted to start with big news, big exciting news
- 0:11Speaker 2: that I know Ben is going to really appreciate. Ben.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Guess what. I I don't like Braiden anymore. There's no okay,
- 0:20Speaker 2: I have no sympathies for Braiden. Okay, I'm not saying
- 0:22Speaker 2: that I never really liked it, liked him, but like,
- 0:24Speaker 2: I have no sympathies anymore.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Okay, you want to hear something weird?
- 0:28Speaker 2: Oh god, now you have sympathies.
- 0:31Speaker 3: I don't think he was completely in the wrong during
- 0:34Speaker 3: this episode.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Why we're gonna get this. We'll get into it now.
- 0:39Speaker 2: You want to wait, you want to hold on.
- 0:40Speaker 4: We're gonna get into that and talking about the Golden
- 0:43Speaker 4: Bachelor and breaking down Bachelor headlines. Let's start out with, Yes,
- 0:47Speaker 4: the big announcement that happened this week, We've been waiting
- 0:50Speaker 4: for you here in the Almost Famous podcast. It was
- 0:52Speaker 4: great to hear the host of Good Morning America be
- 0:55Speaker 4: genuinely excited about the concept of this show.
- 0:59Speaker 3: You could you.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Could tell that they're like, this is just interesting, no
- 1:02Speaker 4: matter what like, even if the show is like really
- 1:05Speaker 4: awkward and weird, it's an interesting concept.
- 1:09Speaker 3: The Golden Bachelor was announced.
- 1:10Speaker 4: We got our first interview with him. His name is
- 1:16Speaker 4: I believe is it Gary or Jerry.
- 1:18Speaker 2: It's Gary Gary. It looks like Jerry.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah. I know he's from Indiana.
- 1:24Speaker 2: So you're right.
- 1:25Speaker 4: I was right Hudson, Indiana, which I've been to. It's
- 1:28Speaker 4: not very far from my hometown. He when he was
- 1:32Speaker 4: sharing his story, actually, my mom and I were watching
- 1:36Speaker 4: it and a tear came to my eye just even
- 1:39Speaker 4: hearing the fact where he was like, I have her
- 1:41Speaker 4: picture in my closet. We were like high school sweethearts.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Wait, I have my picture. I have her picture in
- 1:48Speaker 2: my closet.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Well yeah, right where he gets ready in the morning,
- 1:51Speaker 4: he has a picture of his wife and he looks
- 1:53Speaker 4: at it because they asked like, how would she feel
- 1:55Speaker 4: about this, and he's like, we always said, whoever goes first,
- 1:58Speaker 4: we want to other to be happy, and I I
- 2:00Speaker 4: know she's like my biggest fan, and his daughters are
- 2:03Speaker 4: the ones that signed him up.
- 2:05Speaker 3: He seems excited.
- 2:09Speaker 4: It's just so interesting, Like I love that he has
- 2:12Speaker 4: hearing aids and.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I love me too.
- 2:16Speaker 4: I just love it and a good looking fella. I
- 2:20Speaker 4: have high hopes me too.
- 2:23Speaker 2: So I was reading the responses from the official Bachelor
- 2:26Speaker 2: page once they put up his picture, and I was like,
- 2:30Speaker 2: are they deleting any bad comments because there is truly
- 2:33Speaker 2: none to be found. People are really excited. I don't know,
- 2:36Speaker 2: I don't know. You know, people can always find flaw
- 2:39Speaker 2: in anything, but everybody seemed really stoked. There were a
- 2:42Speaker 2: couple that were like, this will save the franchise, and
- 2:47Speaker 2: most people shocked that he is almost seventy two years old.
- 2:51Speaker 2: He does look like he looks great.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Looks fantastic.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Now, I'm telling you this, if anybody has a negative comment,
- 3:00Speaker 4: they can hate the Bachelor, they can hate the Bachelorette.
- 3:02Speaker 4: They can be upset at the franchise for all the
- 3:04Speaker 4: things that the franchise has done and not done.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I get that, Okay, that's fair.
- 3:08Speaker 4: But if you are upset with a guy in his
- 3:12Speaker 4: seventies and women in whatever age range they're going to
- 3:16Speaker 4: come into trying to have a second chance at love
- 3:19Speaker 4: and doing it on a television show, that could end
- 3:22Speaker 4: up being one of the coolest, most exhilarating. Adrenaline rushed
- 3:26Speaker 4: like moments in his life, doing interviews with Good Morning America,
- 3:29Speaker 4: going on probably talk shows. If you're gonna have negative
- 3:32Speaker 4: comments on that, you are a human I don't want
- 3:35Speaker 4: to meet.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Is what's his occupation?
- 3:39Speaker 3: Well, I mean, I'm sure if you're tired, you.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Think he's retired. We don't know what his former occupation is,
- 3:44Speaker 2: but he's retired, so you know, he just.
- 3:46Speaker 3: He has a lank house. He's fine right now.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Whoever gets to be with him, they just get to
- 3:51Speaker 2: like not even worry about that stuff.
- 3:54Speaker 4: So it's such a cool concept. We're really pumping for him.
- 3:58Speaker 4: We'll hope to bring on the podcast here very soon.
- 4:00Speaker 3: A get older, the end of guy.
- 4:03Speaker 2: You need to talk to this man?
- 4:05Speaker 4: Oh, I would love to. And here's the thing. I
- 4:08Speaker 4: cannot wait. It's gonna be a really interesting thing in
- 4:10Speaker 4: five seasons from how to see what people's critiques are of, Like,
- 4:14Speaker 4: you know, everybody has critiques of a show they watch,
- 4:18Speaker 4: Like what is gonna be the thing that people are
- 4:19Speaker 4: annoyed by when they when it comes to the contestants
- 4:22Speaker 4: and lead because you know, one thing they have to eliminate.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Nobody is there for the wrong reasons. Nobody is there
- 4:27Speaker 4: to get fame. If you're there to get fame in
- 4:29Speaker 4: your seventies, you are like sorely mistaken.
- 4:34Speaker 3: It's it would be exhausting.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Like I think they're just there gonna have a cool experience,
- 4:38Speaker 4: shake life.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Up a bit.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Yeah, find love, and if they don't find love, they
- 4:42Speaker 4: can tell their friends and family.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I mean the watch parties, Ashley.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Can you imagine like the watch parties of the kids
- 4:49Speaker 4: and the grandkids and the families and the sisters and
- 4:52Speaker 4: the cousins and the brothers sitting around watching the TV
- 4:55Speaker 4: Like it's gonna be amazing.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Usually it's what are my parents gonna have the And
- 5:00Speaker 2: then it's gonna be like one of my kids gonna
- 5:02Speaker 2: think he has two grandkids, and you know, this is
- 5:08Speaker 2: just gonna be This is gonna be so much fun.
- 5:11Speaker 2: We got to have him on here, you guys. I
- 5:13Speaker 2: did start the petition that we mentioned on Friday when
- 5:17Speaker 2: we recorded that podcast exclusively about this show, and we
- 5:22Speaker 2: have over two thousand signatures. It's only been up on
- 5:25Speaker 2: Instagram for about twelve hours now, So go to my
- 5:30Speaker 2: Instagram sign the petition for Ben to become the host
- 5:33Speaker 2: of this There is still no host attached to it.
- 5:37Speaker 3: You know that.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Yeah, which is crazy that they did the announcement without
- 5:42Speaker 2: even being like ready enough to shoot for there being
- 5:45Speaker 2: a host, So you know for a fact from production
- 5:47Speaker 2: that they have not made a final decision on host.
- 5:49Speaker 3: I don't know. I was asking you, I don't know yet.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Oh well they would say.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Yeah, they would have hosted by Jesse Palmer. Yeah, hosted
- 5:59Speaker 4: by Pat say Jack something like that.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Pat say Jack is retiring from Real Fortunes so he
- 6:05Speaker 2: can host the Golden Bachelor.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Can we just like think about the Golden Bachelorette for
- 6:11Speaker 2: a second. If this show does do you well.
- 6:13Speaker 3: It's I mean, I'm telling you, actually.
- 6:16Speaker 2: People are gonna love it no matter what.
- 6:18Speaker 4: I am gonna be the biggest fan of this show.
- 6:20Speaker 4: It is gonna be like my guilty pleasure. You're gonna
- 6:24Speaker 4: see me more excited for Like, I think there's gonna
- 6:29Speaker 4: be watch parties again for the.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Bachelor, and I think it's gonna be the gold back.
- 6:31Speaker 4: I think people are gonna get together together to watch
- 6:34Speaker 4: this show again, which has not happened in years. It's
- 6:38Speaker 4: gonna be an interesting thing. You know, what are the ratings?
- 6:40Speaker 4: What is the response on social media? That kind of stuff,
- 6:43Speaker 4: But either way, we're very excited. The Golden Bachelor has
- 6:48Speaker 4: been announced. He is a Hoosier. He's from about forty
- 6:51Speaker 4: five minutes from where.
- 6:52Speaker 3: I grew up.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Is wild? It just like she leaves on a lake
- 6:55Speaker 2: house forty five minutes from your hometown. You are made
- 6:59Speaker 2: for this. And what we said on Friday, Yeah, there's
- 7:04Speaker 2: there's an inside source that that that says that production
- 7:07Speaker 2: is calling him the older version of Ben Higgins. So
- 7:13Speaker 2: so what are they thinking? Not just having you sign
- 7:16Speaker 2: the papers right now? But anyway, let's move on to
- 7:17Speaker 2: Charity season. Are you ready?
- 7:19Speaker 3: I am so ready?
- 7:21Speaker 4: What an episode not for Here's my overal thoughts in
- 7:25Speaker 4: the episode.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Not the most entertaining episode, there's.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Okay, So glad that you said that, because I was like,
- 7:31Speaker 2: why do I keep dazing out?
- 7:33Speaker 4: Well, the end, you know, the end really picked it up.
- 7:36Speaker 4: We'll start with Darren Washington. It looks freezing, but it
- 7:40Speaker 4: looks beautiful.
- 7:41Speaker 3: I mean, mm hmmm.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Dunton gets the uh but uh the first uh one
- 7:50Speaker 4: on one of the episode.
- 7:52Speaker 3: We were excited for doing to get this date.
- 7:54Speaker 4: We we've been looking forward for more time with him
- 7:57Speaker 4: and Charity together.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Oh yes, so so glad that he has the state,
- 8:01Speaker 2: And I'm actually so glad that Xavier gets the second
- 8:04Speaker 2: date because those one on ones I think really saved
- 8:07Speaker 2: the episode. Saved the episode because it gave us so
- 8:10Speaker 2: much quality.
- 8:11Speaker 3: It did give us quality.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Ashlely My take though I've always been a fan of Xavier.
- 8:17Speaker 3: We'll get into that later.
- 8:19Speaker 4: But with Doton, I really want to see their connection
- 8:21Speaker 4: when it comes to conversation.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Am I crazy? Disagree with me?
- 8:27Speaker 4: Here? Am I crazy to think that their conversations don't
- 8:31Speaker 4: feel as natural as I would want?
- 8:36Speaker 3: Now?
- 8:36Speaker 4: It is the first one on one, is their first
- 8:38Speaker 4: time together, but it felt like a first date to me.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Like I know everybody is saying, hey, this is it,
- 8:43Speaker 4: this is over.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I'm not there yet.
- 8:46Speaker 4: I'm not saying this thing is closed out because it
- 8:48Speaker 4: felt like they're Their connection is obviously there, but their
- 8:52Speaker 4: chemistry when it comes to how comfortable they are isn't
- 8:55Speaker 4: there yet, which is natural and fair.
- 8:57Speaker 3: It's it's early on.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Still I think it can progress that, but I'm not
- 9:02Speaker 4: sold out that he is, yes, one hundred percent the guy.
- 9:05Speaker 2: What conversations are you referring to, like the bungee jumping
- 9:08Speaker 2: era conversations or the later of the night.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Later in the night, I know they open up, but
- 9:14Speaker 4: it felt like it felt like a conversation where it's like,
- 9:17Speaker 4: you tell me your story, I tell you mine. You
- 9:20Speaker 4: tell me your response, I'll tell you mine. Like it
- 9:22Speaker 4: felt very much like a first date conversation of here's
- 9:27Speaker 4: who I am, which is awesome, Here's who I want
- 9:31Speaker 4: to be, here's what I'm looking for.
- 9:32Speaker 3: It didn't feel like.
- 9:33Speaker 4: The hey, let's you know, joke around, like let's have
- 9:36Speaker 4: like we're comfortable with moments of silence. Yet they're just
- 9:39Speaker 4: not there yet. I don't expect there yet. It's a
- 9:41Speaker 4: first date. But that's also why I'm saying I'm not, like,
- 9:45Speaker 4: I'm not one hundred percent convinced that he is going
- 9:49Speaker 4: to be her choice at the end, because we haven't
- 9:52Speaker 4: seen them get comfortable yet.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Okay, I think what you mean is like, it's not
- 9:56Speaker 2: flirty conversation, it's not really romance. The conversation I am
- 10:00Speaker 2: going off a lot of my feelings about their connection
- 10:03Speaker 2: because she is so freaking giddy. Yeah, and because there's
- 10:07Speaker 2: a lot of substance to the conversation and he just
- 10:10Speaker 2: feels strong and loyal, He like just really gives off
- 10:17Speaker 2: husband vibes.
- 10:18Speaker 3: M I think he does. I think he's really in
- 10:21Speaker 3: the charity.
- 10:22Speaker 4: I don't think that there's gonna be any like red
- 10:25Speaker 4: flags pop up. I don't think there's going to be
- 10:27Speaker 4: like a massive exit for him where she's upset. In fact,
- 10:32Speaker 4: I don't see that really happening for the rest of
- 10:34Speaker 4: the season with anybody that we are very like sold
- 10:38Speaker 4: out on. I just think there's some other people that
- 10:41Speaker 4: are equally as connected her. I actually think that her
- 10:44Speaker 4: time with Xavier felt more comfortable for me personally as
- 10:47Speaker 4: I watched than Dotin's time. Okay, but to get into it,
- 10:52Speaker 4: they did bungee jump. They're both freaking out. I would
- 10:55Speaker 4: have been freaking out. Good for them to do it,
- 10:57Speaker 4: do it together. I do think that helped that they
- 11:00Speaker 4: are kind of tied onto each other, felt very dangerous,
- 11:03Speaker 4: felt like their heads could smack together.
- 11:04Speaker 3: For me, I was nervous the whole time.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yes, I was like, how uncomfortable is this
- 11:11Speaker 2: to just have to like hold yourself against somebody else.
- 11:15Speaker 2: But again, at the same time, you don't want to
- 11:17Speaker 2: do it alone.
- 11:18Speaker 3: No, if I'm going down, I'm going down with whoever
- 11:21Speaker 3: is forcing me. To do this.
- 11:23Speaker 2: I know. I'm glad I got to do it the
- 11:24Speaker 2: second time because the second time cou would actually be
- 11:27Speaker 2: fun once you you really trust that rope.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Yeah, coo.
- 11:32Speaker 4: See that's the difference between them and I though. If
- 11:34Speaker 4: I do it once, I'm going to say I did it,
- 11:36Speaker 4: I survived it.
- 11:37Speaker 3: I'm good.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Like I can tell people I bungee jump. To do
- 11:40Speaker 4: it twice just seems reckless. But the drone shot of
- 11:45Speaker 4: that bridge, that bridge is so high, so far above
- 11:49Speaker 4: the river. That was an incredible feat for the two
- 11:51Speaker 4: of them. I know people out there probably like, I bunge,
- 11:54Speaker 4: you jump all the time. I skida whatever. You guys
- 11:56Speaker 4: are impressive. I'm saying that was a cool moment. You
- 12:00Speaker 4: could tell they're both nervous. They both did.
- 12:02Speaker 3: I mean, Charity had tears in her eyes. Poor girl.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I know, I felt really bad. I was thinking that
- 12:06Speaker 2: there was somebody who in their bios before the show started,
- 12:09Speaker 2: so the bungee jumping was like their biggest fear. I
- 12:13Speaker 2: don't think it was Yeah he didn't they bring oh
- 12:16Speaker 2: he's They may should have made a bigger deal out
- 12:19Speaker 2: of that.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Well, just don't tell the show that you're scared. Of anything.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, say you love snakes and spiders and heights
- 12:26Speaker 4: and you're never being closer poing like, don't give them
- 12:30Speaker 4: any ammunition.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Right, Okay, anyway, it's a great bonding first date. You
- 12:37Speaker 2: can't deny that. Once you do tackle that together, you
- 12:40Speaker 2: can do a lot physically and overcome a lot of fears.
- 12:54Speaker 2: So then, yeah, the conversation later was around a campfire
- 12:58Speaker 2: and he was talking about immigrating to America and the
- 13:03Speaker 2: fact that his is like a lottery and his aunt
- 13:06Speaker 2: had set him up the family just she found a
- 13:10Speaker 2: certain lottery and said, like, I have a good feeling
- 13:12Speaker 2: that you should do this, and that's how he became
- 13:14Speaker 2: an American citizen, which is really awesome. And then Charity
- 13:19Speaker 2: was discussing how she was the area that she grew
- 13:24Speaker 2: up in. She always felt like maybe she was a
- 13:27Speaker 2: little bit different because I feel like there's probably not
- 13:31Speaker 2: as many black people in that area. And she said
- 13:35Speaker 2: that she became very achievement oriented. She had to be
- 13:39Speaker 2: the best at everything.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Yeah, and you can see that in her right.
- 13:43Speaker 4: My wife is very achievement orient Like she was a
- 13:47Speaker 4: college athlete, she was you know, four h She has
- 13:51Speaker 4: this like drive to be.
- 13:54Speaker 3: No, I don't want to say perfect. I don't think
- 13:55Speaker 3: that's her expectation. I don't think she can.
- 13:57Speaker 4: But she has a drive to be really good at
- 13:59Speaker 4: everything she does. And it's exhausting right now that I
- 14:02Speaker 4: live with somebody like that. She's tired often. And there's
- 14:06Speaker 4: also confusion that comes with that, because truth is, you
- 14:09Speaker 4: are going to be great at everything, and when you
- 14:11Speaker 4: do the kind of fall short and whatever that is,
- 14:14Speaker 4: you really get upset about it. You beat yourself up
- 14:16Speaker 4: over it a lot. And so I and I see
- 14:19Speaker 4: that in Charity, right, you see it and just you
- 14:21Speaker 4: know so far like even how these moments of drama
- 14:27Speaker 4: and arguments now you can see them crushing her because she,
- 14:30Speaker 4: I think, takes it on herself. She holds that very
- 14:34Speaker 4: personal and I'm hoping she can get free of that
- 14:38Speaker 4: here as a season goes on. But I do think
- 14:41Speaker 4: those are two big things for the two of them
- 14:43Speaker 4: to get out there now again. Now we can see
- 14:47Speaker 4: them start to get comfortable and connect. Charity understands his backstory,
- 14:51Speaker 4: don't understand who Charity is as a person. Now you
- 14:54Speaker 4: can see them flirt a little bit. We can see
- 14:56Speaker 4: like some just like talks about dreams and whatever their
- 14:59Speaker 4: future hold.
- 15:01Speaker 3: I still have him obviously in my top three. There's
- 15:04Speaker 3: no question about that.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I'm just devil's advocation.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm just not I'm just not convinced that Xavier
- 15:14Speaker 4: wouldn't be my number one Overdotan right now. We'll get
- 15:16Speaker 4: into that here in a second. But their date goes well,
- 15:18Speaker 4: we can say that it is a very healthy date.
- 15:22Speaker 4: He does get the rose, he's safe to the end.
- 15:26Speaker 4: Final thoughts on doting for me Ashley is, I'm very
- 15:32Speaker 4: glad right now that he is he When all this
- 15:36Speaker 4: drama goes down the house, you just don't see him around.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, you don't see him at all, to
- 15:43Speaker 2: the point that, like I forgot that he was even
- 15:45Speaker 2: a part of those moments.
- 15:47Speaker 4: I bet he's sitting on the couch having a cocktail,
- 15:49Speaker 4: being like you fool, you got to do I'm going
- 15:53Speaker 4: to sit here.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Yes, that's very attractive, right the best.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Yes, Actually maybe you know in life you want to
- 16:02Speaker 4: protect you know your partner, you want to stand up
- 16:04Speaker 4: for them. But like in this situation, in this environment,
- 16:08Speaker 4: I think he's socially aware enough to be like, this
- 16:10Speaker 4: isn't my role, Like I don't have to right now.
- 16:12Speaker 4: There's a bunch of dudes like trying to puff their
- 16:15Speaker 4: chests up. I don't need to be that guy.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Yeah that's Aaron.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:20Speaker 4: If I ever needed to be that guy, I can
- 16:22Speaker 4: be that guy. But right now I don't need to
- 16:24Speaker 4: be that guy. They seem to think they have this
- 16:27Speaker 4: under control. So still like the guy, still think he's
- 16:30Speaker 4: around for a long time. And uh, and I'm very
- 16:36Speaker 4: excited that Charity seems very smitten. I'm very excited that
- 16:38Speaker 4: she has a couple of guys that she is just
- 16:41Speaker 4: like I'm into.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Okay, So then me get to the group day, actually
- 16:44Speaker 3: get away.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Okay. So the guys are supposed to go find food
- 16:48Speaker 2: in the in the forest, and they're led by these scouts.
- 16:52Speaker 2: They're not exactly girl scouts. What kind of scouts are they?
- 16:54Speaker 2: Are you familiar with those?
- 16:57Speaker 4: I don't know exactly what kind of scouts they are. Really,
- 17:02Speaker 4: They're very charismatic and very good on camera. I wouldn't
- 17:05Speaker 4: be surprised if they were like a made up branch
- 17:08Speaker 4: of the skin.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Okay, yes they were. They took their job very seriously,
- 17:14Speaker 2: and the girls like could not with braiden, which is
- 17:17Speaker 2: actually hilarious. So they all go out try to find,
- 17:20Speaker 2: you know, foods that they'd be able to survive. They're
- 17:22Speaker 2: really supposed to prove their masculinity here and their provider instincts,
- 17:28Speaker 2: and yeah, Joe even says that he's kind of terrified
- 17:31Speaker 2: of them. I love these girls for this moment. Yeah,
- 17:36Speaker 2: they're great. They're great. So what I think of when
- 17:39Speaker 2: I think of this this scene is that Braiden comes
- 17:42Speaker 2: back and he proved. He shows the food that he
- 17:44Speaker 2: brought back and he had a bite taken out of it,
- 17:46Speaker 2: which is absolutely no shock. And I'm also thinking in
- 17:49Speaker 2: this moment that Braiden is becoming Chad Johnson. I'm pretty
- 17:52Speaker 2: sure that he had seen those episodes and he wanted
- 17:57Speaker 2: to slowly become a Chad Johnson character, because remember when
- 18:01Speaker 2: Chad would be like Milk's Delicious, and then he was
- 18:04Speaker 2: being like a grizzly bear basically when they were on
- 18:06Speaker 2: their their cabin woodsy date yea week. Yeah, so I
- 18:12Speaker 2: feel like he's totally becoming Chad. And then I would
- 18:16Speaker 2: think of how tannered.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Be a weird move.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Who wants to who wants to be a Chad You're saying, yeah, well,
- 18:23Speaker 2: Chad is memorable. Here we are, like seven years removed,
- 18:26Speaker 2: still referring to Chad. If you're gonna be on TV,
- 18:31Speaker 2: I guess create a character from yourself.
- 18:35Speaker 3: I'm not I mean, I think you're not that person. Well, no,
- 18:39Speaker 3: I just I don't know if Braid's actually trying to
- 18:41Speaker 3: do anything other than be himself. Again.
- 18:44Speaker 4: I'm more in favorab Braiden towards the end of this
- 18:47Speaker 4: episode than I think I've ever been before. But during
- 18:49Speaker 4: this moment, I really think he is one of those
- 18:52Speaker 4: people who get sucked into the moment and he kind
- 18:56Speaker 4: of loses himself in the moment, and he thinks he's
- 18:59Speaker 4: funnier than he is is.
- 19:00Speaker 2: He definitely thinks he's funny, and he and.
- 19:03Speaker 3: He and I think it comes from a good place.
- 19:05Speaker 4: I think he thinks the louder he is, the more
- 19:08Speaker 4: fun he's having, the more he's engaging in the experience,
- 19:12Speaker 4: the more he is being his biggest and fullest self,
- 19:18Speaker 4: the more fun Charity probably will have and the other
- 19:21Speaker 4: guys will have because they're like, this is so much,
- 19:23Speaker 4: this is the best, Like we're.
- 19:24Speaker 3: All enjoying this.
- 19:25Speaker 4: I think he's trying to show very outwardly and very
- 19:29Speaker 4: annoyingly that he's enjoying this or that he's in it.
- 19:32Speaker 2: But it also Teeter Totter's just as an audience member.
- 19:35Speaker 2: It's kind of funny because he's being super obnoxious to
- 19:38Speaker 2: the point where it's kind of funny. It's just not
- 19:40Speaker 2: attractive though, No, it's not attractive, Like I don't want
- 19:43Speaker 2: to date a guy like that, but I may want
- 19:44Speaker 2: to watch him on a reality show.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Sure, it's like it's like watching a middle schooler run
- 19:48Speaker 4: through the Yeah, Like, I mean, that's what my buddies
- 19:50Speaker 4: and I did when we're in middle school and the
- 19:52Speaker 4: camp counse services like, hey, guys, calm down, you're being weird. Stop,
- 19:56Speaker 4: like take it back three steps and like start over.
- 20:01Speaker 3: I found this, you.
- 20:02Speaker 4: Know, this day intriguing because the show didn't set them
- 20:06Speaker 4: up with food, and these guys are eating everything. And
- 20:09Speaker 4: I spent a lot of time as a kid. I
- 20:11Speaker 4: live in Denver now, I spend a lot of time
- 20:13Speaker 4: in the woods. You should not be eating everything that
- 20:15Speaker 4: goes on a tree or every mushroom that's popping out
- 20:17Speaker 4: of the ground. That's not a good that's not smart.
- 20:20Speaker 4: So I'm hoping you're mushrooms a food expert there where
- 20:24Speaker 4: the guys would like pick it and be like good
- 20:26Speaker 4: or bad and maybe like that's fine, you can chew
- 20:29Speaker 4: on that, but we don't see it. So it just
- 20:31Speaker 4: looks like to me that these dudes are just you know,
- 20:34Speaker 4: tearing away.
- 20:37Speaker 3: The other side.
- 20:37Speaker 4: The funny part for me was Aaron b was gonna
- 20:39Speaker 4: try to catch a fish. I don't know what he's thought.
- 20:41Speaker 4: I thought he I think he thinks he was gonna
- 20:42Speaker 4: do with their hands. That would have been awesome. Never
- 20:45Speaker 4: see now when successfully pulled off before. But I would
- 20:49Speaker 4: have loved for him to catch a fish because I
- 20:51Speaker 4: would love for him to see how he's presenting a cold,
- 20:54Speaker 4: raw live fish to the girls and to Charity.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and what stands up to me is Tanner's presentation
- 21:02Speaker 2: of his Charcoieri board. That was really a kind of adorable.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I find Tanner to be kind of adorable. He has
- 21:07Speaker 2: absolutely no shot in this thing, but like I like him,
- 21:10Speaker 2: and he's.
- 21:10Speaker 3: A good.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Do you feel big romance from him. They're not even
- 21:16Speaker 2: presenting him like that. You can tell on the show
- 21:19Speaker 2: like how they present somebody. But I enjoyed, like when
- 21:22Speaker 2: he's on my screen, he's like lighthearted and it feels
- 21:24Speaker 2: like it brings a levity. Uh what else was worth
- 21:29Speaker 2: mentioning besides the questions? So the girls ask questions and
- 21:35Speaker 2: they go to Braiden and what Brayden say. He's like,
- 21:38Speaker 2: I just want to find a connection. Be content, be content.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Oh my dude, dude, he just keeps her rubbing it in.
- 21:46Speaker 2: He's like, I just want you to know very clearly
- 21:49Speaker 2: that I am not necessarily here for a minutes at least.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I know that's what I've been saying.
- 21:55Speaker 4: She's getting it. It just really feels like to me,
- 22:01Speaker 4: Braiden is he he hasn't made like a good choice
- 22:08Speaker 4: since like really he stepped out of Limo. I mean,
- 22:10Speaker 4: he did do fine on night one, but I had
- 22:12Speaker 4: my concerns. The guy just continues to do the wrong
- 22:18Speaker 4: thing or the most annoying thing or the thing that's
- 22:21Speaker 4: going to make the house the most upset. I don't
- 22:25Speaker 4: know if he realized how upset all the guys were at.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Braiden until the moment where we had braid and Braiden
- 22:33Speaker 2: Brand and Braiden on all the boards.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:35Speaker 4: What a weird question, Like if you had to survive,
- 22:37Speaker 4: who would you eat first? Like what a weird way
- 22:39Speaker 4: to phrase that. It just made me the Yellow Jacket
- 22:41Speaker 4: Show and that kind of freaked me out.
- 22:44Speaker 3: To that show freaks me out, perfect.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Way to pinpoint the villain in case Charity wasn't already aware,
- 22:50Speaker 2: which I think she was, but she was also I
- 22:52Speaker 2: think a little bit sad to see that like everybody
- 22:55Speaker 2: was against him.
- 22:56Speaker 4: Everybody was against him. Well, we're going then into the
- 22:59Speaker 4: night time portion of date right away. Right this all
- 23:04Speaker 4: escalates to the moment we've all kind of been wondering
- 23:08Speaker 4: when it was going to happen. The guys are talking
- 23:10Speaker 4: to Braiden. Braiden is trying to defend himself well at
- 23:15Speaker 4: the same time kind of digging himself into a bigger hole.
- 23:18Speaker 4: He's still being very honest, so he's still being very
- 23:21Speaker 4: clear about his intentions, and it would be great to
- 23:22Speaker 4: get him on the show at some point and understand
- 23:25Speaker 4: exactly what he was there for then, because if he
- 23:27Speaker 4: was there just for a good time and to have
- 23:28Speaker 4: a good experience and to be really happy that he
- 23:31Speaker 4: did it, that's one thing. But if he was really
- 23:34Speaker 4: ever there for Charity, that's a question I still have
- 23:37Speaker 4: on my mind. But she walks in on it, confronts
- 23:42Speaker 4: her right away, pulls him aside, and that's where their
- 23:46Speaker 4: conversation starts.
- 23:47Speaker 2: And to me, what encapsulates it all is when he well,
- 23:53Speaker 2: he tells her I like you, but I don't know
- 23:59Speaker 2: where this is going basically, and it's just like okay,
- 24:02Speaker 2: that just okay, I like you, but just eliminate him
- 24:07Speaker 2: right here. But like he also put himself in the
- 24:10Speaker 2: position and the power position. I think that he wanted
- 24:13Speaker 2: to self eliminate in that moment because he knew that
- 24:16Speaker 2: she was going to eliminate him, if not in that moment,
- 24:18Speaker 2: that probably later in the episode, later in the week,
- 24:21Speaker 2: and that was a dick move, right. Did you find
- 24:25Speaker 2: that he was doing that?
- 24:27Speaker 3: I did.
- 24:28Speaker 4: I mean, I think it's again he was definitely trying
- 24:30Speaker 4: to defend himself and he definitely felt at this moment like, hey,
- 24:36Speaker 4: my leash here is short and I don't have a
- 24:40Speaker 4: lot of room left in this experience, so let me
- 24:43Speaker 4: go out. However I want to go out. We can
- 24:46Speaker 4: get into later on when he comes back and why.
- 24:49Speaker 4: I think that how he exited was exactly why he
- 24:52Speaker 4: came back to kind of apologize and to say, hey,
- 24:56Speaker 4: I don't know I've had a few days or a
- 24:58Speaker 4: few hours to think about this. I was I was wrong.
- 25:01Speaker 4: I did some stupid stuff here. That's why I don't
- 25:03Speaker 4: blame him for coming back. I think it's a very
- 25:05Speaker 4: fair thing for somebody to do, especially somebody that has
- 25:07Speaker 4: to cause so much chaos and so much confusion for her.
- 25:12Speaker 4: We'll talk about that here in a second. But yeah,
- 25:14Speaker 4: he definitely was, but he has eliminated it. He goes home.
- 25:17Speaker 4: He does give the great little cliffhanger that we all
- 25:20Speaker 4: love where he says, is this over?
- 25:22Speaker 3: I don't know, man, That's what he says. I don't know, man,
- 25:25Speaker 3: It's over.
- 25:38Speaker 2: So when it comes down to it, Brandon signed up
- 25:40Speaker 2: for a show where like the main point is to
- 25:42Speaker 2: get engaged at the end, and every single week he
- 25:45Speaker 2: was like, I don't really know if I like the
- 25:47Speaker 2: point of this show, you know, like I really just
- 25:50Speaker 2: want contentment at the end of this maybe just want
- 25:54Speaker 2: to date, like see if I like someone, you know,
- 25:56Speaker 2: if I like someone, that's cool.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:59Speaker 4: I was just waiting for him to be like, you know,
- 26:01Speaker 4: what would be awesome, Charity. I think you're awesome, But
- 26:05Speaker 4: what I'm really here for is like more of a selection,
- 26:08Speaker 4: so I would I would love to go on Paradise. Like,
- 26:11Speaker 4: if you want to keep me around long enough for that,
- 26:12Speaker 4: that'd be really cool.
- 26:14Speaker 3: I'd appreciate it.
- 26:15Speaker 4: And then then you can say goodbye to me whenever
- 26:17Speaker 4: you want, but just keep me along long enough to
- 26:19Speaker 4: come to Paradise.
- 26:20Speaker 3: I believe he will be in Paradise.
- 26:22Speaker 4: I believe he fulfilled his mission by going on a
- 26:24Speaker 4: show and causing enough stir up that he will be
- 26:27Speaker 4: sent to the beach. And who knows what he's like
- 26:29Speaker 4: on the beach. I hope it's a good redemption story
- 26:33Speaker 4: for him. We wisht upon everybody, but right now, Braiden
- 26:36Speaker 4: is going home. Everybody in the house is excited. I
- 26:39Speaker 4: think viewers are excited because it didn't feel like the
- 26:41Speaker 4: show stretched out the Braiden storyline one week too.
- 26:45Speaker 3: It felt like this is the week that needed he
- 26:46Speaker 3: needed to go home.
- 26:49Speaker 4: We didn't, you know, he didn't consume our television all
- 26:52Speaker 4: the time. We did have great moments with some other guys,
- 26:55Speaker 4: including Xavier, who gets the next date now for the
- 26:58Speaker 4: rest of the group date, Actually, no really memorable moments
- 27:01Speaker 4: for me, other than a few of the guys do
- 27:04Speaker 4: make a connection like, you know, Joey continues to be
- 27:09Speaker 4: really good at kissing.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Charity, and you know, Sean you know, continues to kind
- 27:16Speaker 3: of be there.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I don't see, like what was Sean right? Sean is
- 27:20Speaker 2: still around and like to fast forward to the end
- 27:24Speaker 2: of the episode, he like gets to the top six
- 27:28Speaker 2: six left, right, Sean, there's something like to caricature about
- 27:33Speaker 2: this guy to take seriously.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't.
- 27:36Speaker 4: I don't disagree with Braydon when he says that he
- 27:38Speaker 4: kind of like reminds him of the like the prince
- 27:41Speaker 4: from Shrek or whatever they guys.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Well, he doesn't, does he. That's like really not a
- 27:46Speaker 2: compliment because people always say no, but because everybody makes
- 27:51Speaker 2: fun of like when their hair, Prince Barguad, So like
- 27:54Speaker 2: when your hair when you're a girl and like your
- 27:56Speaker 2: hair is like really limp and like just to your
- 27:59Speaker 2: shoulders and it's the center par and you feel like
- 28:02Speaker 2: it's not styled. Like that's when you make fun of
- 28:04Speaker 2: yourself and you say you look like Prince Farquad. But
- 28:07Speaker 2: but the thing is so like he's like never this
- 28:10Speaker 2: Lord Farkwad, Lord farkwah, thank you Hannah, Lord Parkuad. Yeah,
- 28:18Speaker 2: but like I guess like he's but he is Lord
- 28:21Speaker 2: Farkwad at the same time, because he's just like ridiculous,
- 28:25Speaker 2: and he does kind of have a character face where
- 28:28Speaker 2: he looks like he's more of like a cartoon right,
- 28:30Speaker 2: not likely in a bad way, Like he's an attractive guy.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Of course, he's an attractive guy and he's but yes,
- 28:36Speaker 4: I mean he does. He's definitely playing that role. He
- 28:38Speaker 4: definitely isn't doing anything to help himself from looking like
- 28:42Speaker 4: Lord Farquad. He has the haircut, he has every I mean,
- 28:47Speaker 4: he has everything that you would expect, and he still
- 28:50Speaker 4: wears a.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Scarf, yeah, which is Kashmir. You know. That's why his
- 28:54Speaker 2: scarf is different than Brandon's scarf. He does lean into it.
- 28:58Speaker 2: So as long as he's self aware, I'm cool it.
- 29:01Speaker 2: If his hair wasn't swoopy, I'd also be able to
- 29:04Speaker 2: take it more seriously, Like if you just have like
- 29:06Speaker 2: a normal haircut, like you or Jared, I'd be like, oh, yeah,
- 29:10Speaker 2: like this dude, but like he's such a cartoon character
- 29:12Speaker 2: with his swoop.
- 29:13Speaker 4: I want the moment where we see him.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Hair using the hair dryer and like doing the flips.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, well you know, what happens and it's on camera.
- 29:26Speaker 3: That's that doesn't come naturally. Yeah.
- 29:28Speaker 4: No, so the havior date, Yeah, Xavier date when I
- 29:34Speaker 4: was excited for all season. I've been a fan of
- 29:37Speaker 4: I've been a fan of Xavier since really Weak two.
- 29:40Speaker 2: So I liked Xavier since his opening package. I knew
- 29:44Speaker 2: that he got into science because his mom has an
- 29:48Speaker 2: autoimmune disease. I just of course that's like awesome that
- 29:53Speaker 2: he would want to get into it to see what
- 29:55Speaker 2: he can do to help people, including his mom, in
- 29:57Speaker 2: the future. So I've been keeping an eye out for
- 30:01Speaker 2: him because of that, but I didn't remember that was
- 30:03Speaker 2: the reason until he brought it back up on this date.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Yeah, he's always kind of been that sneaky like front
- 30:10Speaker 4: runner here for me where ever since Dodgeball. He was
- 30:14Speaker 4: really like good at Dodgeball, but he was also very
- 30:16Speaker 4: like fun and competitive. I think he showed a great
- 30:21Speaker 4: side of himself because he didn't win the MVP, and
- 30:24Speaker 4: I think he should have obviously, and so that was
- 30:29Speaker 4: kind of there. He handled that well. I didn't remember
- 30:33Speaker 4: about the autoimmune disorder that his mother had until he
- 30:37Speaker 4: did bring it up.
- 30:38Speaker 3: But he you know, there's this there's this element of people.
- 30:45Speaker 4: I think when you sit down with him and they've
- 30:47Speaker 4: gone through that kind of pain. I remember a few
- 30:50Speaker 4: seasons ago with Sarah, who's dad headed a less like
- 30:53Speaker 4: there is a like you grow as a human, especially
- 30:56Speaker 4: when a loved one is sick and you're caring for them,
- 30:59Speaker 4: and then when you choose to do something about it.
- 31:01Speaker 4: I just think that it's you know, it's not only respectable,
- 31:04Speaker 4: it's admirable, and it's then it's just like I watch
- 31:06Speaker 4: these leaders in life kind of and all, and I
- 31:08Speaker 4: think he's always kind of been that.
- 31:10Speaker 3: I believe he will stay that.
- 31:13Speaker 4: That's why you know he has always been up there
- 31:15Speaker 4: for me, because because if Charity doesn't choose him, I
- 31:19Speaker 4: don't think it's going to be for any reason.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Other than maybe she likes like has a connection with
- 31:23Speaker 3: somebody more.
- 31:24Speaker 4: But he will be the type of guy who could
- 31:26Speaker 4: be this next bachelor, who could be the lead of
- 31:30Speaker 4: a season and be fantastic. And I think that's kind
- 31:34Speaker 4: of where he's sneaky at. He's either the pick or
- 31:36Speaker 4: I think he's the next Bachelor.
- 31:37Speaker 3: And I'll say that.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Right, yeah, I would not mind that at all. He
- 31:41Speaker 2: has such a good heart and It's funny because the
- 31:45Speaker 2: first part of this date, we're not thinking about that.
- 31:49Speaker 2: We're thinking about him being a flirt.
- 31:52Speaker 3: We're thinking about him.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Over complimenting her. That's an issue with her. And I'm thinking,
- 31:57Speaker 2: for a second, over complimenting her physical appearance. That's an issue.
- 32:02Speaker 2: And then I thought, Okay, would that annoy me on
- 32:05Speaker 2: a first date? And I guess to a certain extent,
- 32:09Speaker 2: like if you're just giving so many compliments about how
- 32:12Speaker 2: pretty you are, then you're like, okay, okay, all right,
- 32:15Speaker 2: I thank you, But yeah, you do really want them
- 32:18Speaker 2: to compliment your inside, your personality as well your intelligence.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I think that it was probably just a way of
- 32:26Speaker 2: making her feel comfortable, but for her it was raising
- 32:31Speaker 2: a red flag, which I think, you know a lot
- 32:34Speaker 2: of people wouldn't really raise a red flag on a
- 32:36Speaker 2: first date, but it was because I think that this
- 32:39Speaker 2: deep rooted fear of infidelity for her, which reminded her
- 32:43Speaker 2: of her past her ex and like maybe she thought that, oh,
- 32:47Speaker 2: compliments about my physical appearance? Is he just going to
- 32:51Speaker 2: be so like physically oriented and I do have to
- 32:54Speaker 2: worry about him cheating on me? Did you understand that
- 32:56Speaker 2: thought process of hers? Because they didn't really spell it out.
- 32:59Speaker 2: I'm just assumed. I mean, that was kind of what
- 33:00Speaker 2: you was thinking.
- 33:01Speaker 3: I think is exactly what she was thinking.
- 33:03Speaker 4: I mean, I think there's like I have my pet peeves, right,
- 33:07Speaker 4: there's very They're very clear, and after you've listened to this
- 33:10Speaker 4: podcast long enough, you know what those are.
- 33:12Speaker 3: You have yours. We all have those like little things
- 33:15Speaker 3: in our mind that kind of set us off and
- 33:17Speaker 3: like make us, yeah, take a step back. And for her,
- 33:20Speaker 3: I'm sure some guy.
- 33:21Speaker 4: Was like very complimentary of her, said a lot of
- 33:24Speaker 4: great words, but failed her in you know, some way,
- 33:28Speaker 4: and she's spoken to that and she hasn't spoken and
- 33:32Speaker 4: enough clarity about it there we like really know the storyline.
- 33:34Speaker 3: She just kind of like mentions it. Probably doesn't want
- 33:38Speaker 3: to get into the depths of it.
- 33:40Speaker 4: Or at least not yet, but I do think that's
- 33:43Speaker 4: probably what was happening. And so she hears that and
- 33:45Speaker 4: she's hesitant, and she's like, Hey, this good looking guy
- 33:49Speaker 4: who's really charismatic, he's really smart, is showing very similar
- 33:53Speaker 4: signs to a guy I dated in the past and
- 33:56Speaker 4: that didn't go well for me. And I bet also
- 33:59Speaker 4: she went on of the season thinking I'm not going
- 34:01Speaker 4: to date people that I've typically dated because that's never
- 34:03Speaker 4: worked out for me. So I want to date somebody different.
- 34:06Speaker 4: But he's not different. He's the type of guy I
- 34:08Speaker 4: always go for.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Until the dinner part and then she was like total
- 34:13Speaker 2: change of mind when he started talking about his parents,
- 34:16Speaker 2: who have been married for thirty years. Her parents, remember,
- 34:19Speaker 2: have been married for like forty seven forty three, some
- 34:23Speaker 2: crazy number for their age and her age an impressive number.
- 34:29Speaker 2: And thirty years for him and his parents, and his
- 34:33Speaker 2: dad is the main caregiver for the mom and that
- 34:37Speaker 2: obviously shows so much. And that's the kind of marriage
- 34:41Speaker 2: that you want. And it's nice that they both can
- 34:45Speaker 2: bond over their parents' relationship being so strong. And I
- 34:50Speaker 2: think that always. Do you do you think it's wrong
- 34:52Speaker 2: for me to say that. I think that two people
- 34:54Speaker 2: that come from to healthy parental marriages, they can go
- 35:01Speaker 2: into a serious relationship easier.
- 35:04Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I mean I think that's I think they've
- 35:06Speaker 4: had it modeled for them. I think you know you've
- 35:09Speaker 4: seen it. You know it can happen, like you've seen
- 35:12Speaker 4: the difficulties, but you've also seen the beauty of it.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's definitely something to look at.
- 35:18Speaker 4: And then I think in their case, from what it
- 35:21Speaker 4: sounds like, their parents really like each other still, right, Like,
- 35:24Speaker 4: you've still very much in love and like with each other.
- 35:27Speaker 4: And I think that's something to strive for, because if
- 35:30Speaker 4: you spend forty three years with somebody who has literally
- 35:32Speaker 4: seen you naked and unashamed and seen every side of
- 35:36Speaker 4: you and every part of you, and you still.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Like them, you're still the biggest fan.
- 35:40Speaker 4: I think it's something like we all could dream for, right, So, yes,
- 35:44Speaker 4: and so he does show a different side, or a
- 35:46Speaker 4: side that maybe proves to her, hey, he isn't like
- 35:49Speaker 4: everybody else. And and the day ends in a rowse
- 35:53Speaker 4: Xavier is going to be there a while, and that
- 35:56Speaker 4: gets to the cocktail party. Actually, the cocktail party is
- 36:01Speaker 4: really not a cocktail party about Braiden, and again it's
- 36:04Speaker 4: all about Braiden. Again, it's his last stand. He comes
- 36:07Speaker 4: into the room kind of just walked by the guys,
- 36:10Speaker 4: interrupts a moment with John, who unfortunately goes home, which
- 36:16Speaker 4: is wild to me because they're making out.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Okay, So my issue was that John was like, you
- 36:22Speaker 2: interrupted my time, like he was so offended, which I
- 36:27Speaker 2: understand you should totally be offended by Braiden, this guy
- 36:30Speaker 2: who was eliminated earlier in the week, taking your time.
- 36:33Speaker 2: But my question to you, John is truly, truly were
- 36:37Speaker 2: you going to talk to her anymore? Or are you
- 36:39Speaker 2: just going to continue making out? Because normally the making
- 36:41Speaker 2: out portion of time alone when you're dating is like
- 36:46Speaker 2: what ends your time together?
- 36:48Speaker 4: Right?
- 36:48Speaker 2: You never like talk and then make out and you
- 36:52Speaker 2: know what, let's go back to this talking thing. Especially
- 36:56Speaker 2: on The Bachelor, you just don't do it. That's the
- 36:58Speaker 2: way you wrap up your time.
- 37:00Speaker 4: And you don't have that much time. We saw what
- 37:03Speaker 4: forty five seconds of their time together. I mean that's
- 37:05Speaker 4: at least one third of what he would probably get either.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Way, somebody else is gonna interrupt.
- 37:12Speaker 3: Yeah, he's lucky to get any moments.
- 37:14Speaker 4: It is interesting though, that she was making out with
- 37:17Speaker 4: him like this and he still goes home.
- 37:19Speaker 2: I was thinking that that I wanted to ask you
- 37:22Speaker 2: and be like, Ben, would you ever make out with
- 37:23Speaker 2: somebody like that and then eliminate them? I don't really
- 37:27Speaker 2: had to have.
- 37:29Speaker 4: I had to have, but like you, like, you don't
- 37:31Speaker 4: want to, you don't like to. It's usually because you
- 37:35Speaker 4: have nothing to talk about, and there's no connection there,
- 37:36Speaker 4: so you're like, exactly, we call it here, or we
- 37:40Speaker 4: just start kissing for the next two minutes, and then
- 37:42Speaker 4: somebody comes and interrupts it.
- 37:44Speaker 3: I know.
- 37:44Speaker 2: I was like, John, if you're really that offended by
- 37:46Speaker 2: your time being taken over, you definitely should have been
- 37:49Speaker 2: spending your time talking.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Braiden is not the reason that John at home. Let's
- 37:53Speaker 4: just make that No, he's not the reason that John
- 37:56Speaker 4: at home. Braiden does come in, they sit down and talk.
- 38:00Speaker 4: I don't necessarily have a problem with his conversation with her.
- 38:03Speaker 4: I don't have a problem at all. I do think
- 38:05Speaker 4: it's always weird when somebody comes back. But I do
- 38:08Speaker 4: feel like he left and probably felt pretty guilty, wanted
- 38:11Speaker 4: to clear some eric, wanted to kind of make this
- 38:15Speaker 4: all make more sense. It's still Braiden, so like, none
- 38:19Speaker 4: of this is going to be like not a little
- 38:21Speaker 4: bit annoying and not a little bit weird. But he
- 38:24Speaker 4: did it, And the response from the other guys is
- 38:28Speaker 4: what I say, is when we were talking about last
- 38:31Speaker 4: week and I said, hey, I don't really like I'm
- 38:34Speaker 4: not like in love with this cast because they just
- 38:37Speaker 4: seem to want to heighten the moments of drama and chaos,
- 38:41Speaker 4: like these dudes are there. All they had to do
- 38:43Speaker 4: was sit back on that couch and let him walk
- 38:45Speaker 4: out the door and get in the bus.
- 38:46Speaker 3: And leave instead. I don't know what they were wanting
- 38:49Speaker 3: to do. Were they wanted to tend.
- 38:50Speaker 4: To apologize, were they wanting to like fight him one
- 38:54Speaker 4: on fifteen, like.
- 38:57Speaker 2: They go, I've never been this mad, this upset in
- 38:59Speaker 2: my entire life. I know, guys, you think really need
- 39:03Speaker 2: to get some respective.
- 39:06Speaker 3: Marriage.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Then I want to know the guy, like, what do
- 39:09Speaker 4: you mean you haven't got that mad at anything?
- 39:11Speaker 3: There's no injustices in this world.
- 39:14Speaker 2: That's what I was thinking. I was like, you guys
- 39:16Speaker 2: really need to prioritize what's important in this world.
- 39:19Speaker 4: Some dude is living rent free in his head, and
- 39:21Speaker 4: I know Aaron b says that it's not.
- 39:23Speaker 3: It is because that dude had.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Every opportunity to like be the front runner, to have
- 39:31Speaker 4: the best connection with Charity, to really be the man
- 39:34Speaker 4: and all of this since week one, and he has
- 39:38Speaker 4: came really close.
- 39:39Speaker 3: Now he hasn't yet, but he came really close.
- 39:41Speaker 4: To letting Braiden ruin that all because Braiden did live
- 39:45Speaker 4: rent free in his head. I don't know what they
- 39:48Speaker 4: were doing. It wasn't a good look. I don't think
- 39:50Speaker 4: for any of those guys who went out there and
- 39:52Speaker 4: yelled at him. I get that he's annoying. I get
- 39:54Speaker 4: that he's on your nerves. I get that he came back.
- 39:56Speaker 4: I understand all of that. I understand it's frustrating. But,
- 39:59Speaker 4: like I said, the dots of the world and I
- 40:01Speaker 4: don't remember seeing Ze.
- 40:03Speaker 2: It wasn't there. I don't remember either of them present.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Joey was Joey not there.
- 40:09Speaker 2: He he wasn't in the forefront of my mind when
- 40:13Speaker 2: I'm thinking back on that scene.
- 40:15Speaker 4: It's just it's frustrating that they did that because it's
- 40:19Speaker 4: it just doesn't make a lot of sense.
- 40:22Speaker 3: But they did it. And I that's why I.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Think we could literally right now say, okay, who wrote
- 40:27Speaker 4: who walked out to that bus, who was yelling into
- 40:30Speaker 4: the bus that, like, we can eliminate that those guys
- 40:33Speaker 4: are here at the end, because I don't think Charity'd
- 40:34Speaker 4: probably into it.
- 40:35Speaker 3: If she was standing there, she would be like, yeah,
- 40:37Speaker 3: get them boys.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree she They definitely seem more bothered than
- 40:43Speaker 2: she doesn't, and he was the one who basically eliminated
- 40:45Speaker 2: himself on her Aaron b loves to freaking hate Branden.
- 40:52Speaker 2: He secretly loves the he does love the drama or
- 40:57Speaker 2: you know, big proving like he's a big man. That's
- 40:59Speaker 2: what braid is and said, I do feel like he's
- 41:01Speaker 2: got that like he wants to prove it. He's kind
- 41:03Speaker 2: of macho.
- 41:04Speaker 4: It was only it was been the only time since
- 41:06Speaker 4: we since the show started that I've been like, okay,
- 41:10Speaker 4: I get Braiden here, like I see I'm on Braidon's side,
- 41:13Speaker 4: like I would be the being the bus being like, hey,
- 41:15Speaker 4: can you shut the door so I can leave, Like
- 41:17Speaker 4: I'm ready to go. I've gotten everything out of me
- 41:19Speaker 4: that I need to. He just I think at that
- 41:22Speaker 4: point it felt weird. And again I don't know what
- 41:26Speaker 4: they were wanting to do. Were they wanting to beat
- 41:28Speaker 4: him up? Is that really what they thought? Or are
- 41:30Speaker 4: they just all trying to get like their voices heard.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Well, okay, so their interpretation is that their interpretation was
- 41:39Speaker 2: that Charity eliminated him, not that he like kind of
- 41:42Speaker 2: self eliminated. So maybe they were riled up with the
- 41:45Speaker 2: fact that like he tried to come back when she
- 41:48Speaker 2: didn't want him around anymore.
- 41:50Speaker 4: Well, on the other side of that too, is I
- 41:52Speaker 4: think they were a little upset that they felt like
- 41:54Speaker 4: John didn't get the time he deserved, And I think
- 41:58Speaker 4: they were wrapping their up in their frustrations at John
- 42:01Speaker 4: thing at the time he deserved, which again is weird
- 42:03Speaker 4: to me.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's what it was. They were trying to
- 42:06Speaker 2: defend him.
- 42:06Speaker 4: Yeah. I sat on the Bachelorette I remember very clearly,
- 42:11Speaker 4: and similar situations erupted right where somebody.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Didn't get the time that they wanted to have with
- 42:16Speaker 3: Kaitlyn at the time.
- 42:18Speaker 4: And as bad as I felt, I was pretty through it,
- 42:21Speaker 4: like why would I want any of these other dude? Like,
- 42:23Speaker 4: I am so happy that it wasn't me, But I'm
- 42:26Speaker 4: sitting there going like, why is anybody protecting John?
- 42:28Speaker 3: Let John stand up for himself.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Do you know why? Because they wanted to get they
- 42:33Speaker 2: wanted to get fire air or something. They just wanted
- 42:35Speaker 2: to they wanted to kind of enjoy drama for a second.
- 42:38Speaker 2: But mostly they defended him because they knew he stood
- 42:43Speaker 2: no chance. Like he kept saying, I'm on the topping
- 42:46Speaker 2: block and everybody else knew that he was on the
- 42:49Speaker 2: topping block, so yeah, they'll just they'll get riled up
- 42:52Speaker 2: for that. But what if that happened to Doan? What
- 42:54Speaker 2: did that happened to Xavier? What if that happened to Joey?
- 42:56Speaker 2: There's no way that they're going all after him.
- 42:59Speaker 3: No, they're like that that's the best. Thanks Braden, thank you? Yeah?
- 43:05Speaker 2: Uh is there anything else I want to say about
- 43:08Speaker 2: Braiden before he actually makes his final goodbye? I mean
- 43:12Speaker 2: the ear rings this week where those were those were outrageous?
- 43:16Speaker 3: Yeah, what was his final stand? He needed he needed
- 43:18Speaker 3: to do something big? But no, he is now eliminated.
- 43:21Speaker 3: Braidon is no longer with us, along with.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Don who else, Caleb the wrestler, and Michael who. I
- 43:31Speaker 2: truly looked at Michael this episode and I was like,
- 43:33Speaker 2: who are you?
- 43:35Speaker 3: We haven't seen we haven't seen you once, We have.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Not seen any connection there. I'm wild out at the
- 43:41Speaker 2: fact that we have six guys left, and let's count
- 43:44Speaker 2: them now. We have Doton, we have Xavier, we have Joey,
- 43:50Speaker 2: we have Sean and Tanner and Aaron b We've never
- 43:57Speaker 2: been down to six by the going into week five,
- 44:01Speaker 2: never ever kind of love it, kind of love it.
- 44:04Speaker 4: Yeah, we're gonna get to know these guys very well. Ashley,
- 44:07Speaker 4: who's your top two, let's say your top three at this.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Point in order, don't number one. I think she likes
- 44:16Speaker 2: Joey over Xavier, but those are my three, Okay.
- 44:19Speaker 3: I'm gonna go Xavier, Doton, Joey.
- 44:25Speaker 4: I really don't know if there's anybody outside of those three.
- 44:28Speaker 3: There's nobody even close in my mind right now.
- 44:31Speaker 2: That's another thing that's unique to this season. I'm looking
- 44:35Speaker 2: at these guys going into week five. We still have
- 44:37Speaker 2: so many weeks left, and nobody stands a chance outside
- 44:42Speaker 2: those three.
- 44:43Speaker 3: This is this will.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Honestly, I couldn't call it. So it's a week cast.
- 44:49Speaker 2: These guys might be really nice, but you think about
- 44:55Speaker 2: your cast compared to.
- 44:57Speaker 3: It's a week cast. But I think it's a strong
- 45:00Speaker 3: top three.
- 45:00Speaker 2: That's what I mean. Like, that's fine. That's what I
- 45:02Speaker 2: said last week. Like I feel bad because eh to
- 45:06Speaker 2: the majority, but all that really matters is that she
- 45:09Speaker 2: has her few very strong contenders.
- 45:13Speaker 4: Yeah, Because I mean we're saying Sean, Aaron, b and
- 45:16Speaker 4: Tanner don't don't really have a shot, And I think
- 45:19Speaker 4: that's I think it's true. I don't even see any
- 45:21Speaker 4: of them making a run at this thing. I think
- 45:25Speaker 4: Tanner still has the potential, but we'll be interested to
- 45:30Speaker 4: see she.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Goes on a one on one with Sean. You can
- 45:33Speaker 2: see that in the scenes in the next episode.
- 45:34Speaker 3: I don't think it goes well.
- 45:36Speaker 2: I'm assuming he's not gonna get a rose at the
- 45:38Speaker 2: end of that. I love the fact that we're going
- 45:41Speaker 2: in with such few people though, because this is kind
- 45:43Speaker 2: of what I've been asking for, so that the ending
- 45:47Speaker 2: can be really focused on the ones that matter.
- 45:50Speaker 4: Yeah, it's been a great season so far. We're really
- 46:03Speaker 4: happy with the season and watching it, We've been entertained,
- 46:07Speaker 4: we've been intrigued, and I think the love stories now
- 46:10Speaker 4: are really going to blossom. And I think that's always
- 46:11Speaker 4: the most fun part and always the most intriguing part
- 46:13Speaker 4: and also the most part warming and wrenching part of
- 46:17Speaker 4: the show. So we'll be back next week breaking down
- 46:19Speaker 4: another episode of this season. We don't miss a week,
- 46:23Speaker 4: but we do have bachelor headlines to get into Ashley.
- 46:26Speaker 3: And there are some big ones this week, including this one.
- 46:30Speaker 4: Sean Booth has announced that he is going to be
- 46:32Speaker 4: a dad, that the woman who will be the mother
- 46:37Speaker 4: is eighteen weeks pregnant. He is beyond thrilled. Shawn is
- 46:40Speaker 4: thirty seven years old. He is quote is he's always
- 46:42Speaker 4: wanted to be a dad. He said, he's ecstatic that
- 46:47Speaker 4: she's going to be a great mother and everybody is
- 46:50Speaker 4: really excited. So again big headline of Bachelor Nation, Sean
- 46:54Speaker 4: Booth has announced on his podcast that he is going
- 46:57Speaker 4: to be a father.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Bachel Crawley expecting first baby be a surrogate with Ryan Dawkins.
- 47:04Speaker 2: Maybe this brings them together, who knows, but this is
- 47:08Speaker 2: pretty big. Bachelor Baby is Sean Booth is going to
- 47:11Speaker 2: be a dad at thirty seven years old.
- 47:13Speaker 3: Bachelor Nation's Clear Crawley expecting first baby be a surrogate
- 47:18Speaker 3: with Ryan Dawkins.
- 47:20Speaker 2: We're so excited. I kind of felt this was coming.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Claire didn't really say anything when we were in Santa
- 47:28Speaker 2: Barbara with us. She didn't say anything, you know, verb
- 47:32Speaker 2: shouldn't say anything. But I had this feeling that there
- 47:37Speaker 2: was news like this coming. We were talking about baby
- 47:40Speaker 2: products and stuff like that, and I'm just so excited
- 47:42Speaker 2: to see it's for real, for real, it is happening.
- 47:46Speaker 2: They are they're expecting. We don't know if it's a
- 47:49Speaker 2: girl or a boy. Do in January, I think, And yeah,
- 47:56Speaker 2: the baby's being carried via surrogate. I'm so excited for them.
- 48:02Speaker 2: They're going to be the most amazing parents. Clara's like
- 48:05Speaker 2: the most maternal person that I can think of, and
- 48:09Speaker 2: I'm just really excited. They're doing it with the egg whisper,
- 48:13Speaker 2: the whole Sarahate process, and that's who Sarah Harron has
- 48:16Speaker 2: been working with on her fertility journey as well.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Super excited for the two of them.
- 48:22Speaker 4: We mentioned it last week, didn't really know what was
- 48:25Speaker 4: going on, but we have more clarity this week because
- 48:28Speaker 4: you look into it and we did.
- 48:30Speaker 3: And here is the update. Kim Kardashian tricks Chris Jenner
- 48:34Speaker 3: into calling Disney VP over fake the Bachelorette gig. It's
- 48:39Speaker 3: a prank. According to US Weekly.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Yes, it is a prank. So Kim just played a
- 48:45Speaker 2: joke on her mom, Chris Pretanny's she was going to
- 48:47Speaker 2: be the bachelorette on the new episode. They basically have
- 48:51Speaker 2: that tease that they show or she's like telling the
- 48:54Speaker 2: whole family. She goes, I have some very important info.
- 48:57Speaker 2: I talked to Rob Mills, but she they said that,
- 49:02Speaker 2: you know, Chris was not thrilled by the news. This
- 49:05Speaker 2: is not the right move for Kim, and she calls
- 49:10Speaker 2: the Chris Jenner calls Rob Mills and says that she's like,
- 49:16Speaker 2: I just need to wrap my head around something like
- 49:18Speaker 2: this because it's not really the space that I saw
- 49:20Speaker 2: Kim in. She does have four kids in a very
- 49:23Speaker 2: busy life. And then she goes, I watched the show.
- 49:27Speaker 2: I love the show, but did I want my daughter
- 49:30Speaker 2: on it? Oh? Hell no, It's funny because I mentioned
- 49:33Speaker 2: this on Friday. I'm pretty sure she was for Chloe
- 49:37Speaker 2: doing it a couple of years ago. And then the
- 49:42Speaker 2: joke continues. He goes, we're working on all the scheduling now,
- 49:47Speaker 2: we're like ninety percent there for Kim, but the budget
- 49:53Speaker 2: is subject to negotiation. We'd probably need to work that
