- 0:00All right, welcome, welcome, welcome. It's time now the car talk
- 0:05is it time? It's time there, but it's time. About golly,
- 0:10how you doing there, Brad. I'm doing great this morning, Tom.
- 0:12Now we're talking. This weather is perfect. It is a great day out
- 0:16there, beautiful day and bartles Way end of March and Ford Truck Month in
- 0:21the final days. We're certainly seeing a lot of tracking traffic in the evenings.
- 0:26And uh, we're gonna start staying open a little later next week.
- 0:30And we've been staying open right because people are showing up. Right, Yes,
- 0:33stay till officially extend the hours and so come see us in the evening.
- 0:39It's a great time to come out and shop while the weather's nice after
- 0:42work and and uh, we've got some inventory out there. Uh. These
- 0:46next few days are the last few days of truck months, so a big
- 0:50incentive switch next month. We don't have clarity on what that'll be, but
- 0:54you've got great little interest rates and big discounts on our Ford trucks now and
- 1:00and also the SUVs. We got a great Bronco Raptor in last week,
- 1:06which is a very rare vehicle, something we have only had one of those
- 1:11so far in the Bronco period, so that we've got that end stock and
- 1:15available nice lots of great stuff. But we'll get back to that. I
- 1:18got my good friend and old neighbor, Blair Ellis here from Bartlesville Public School
- 1:23Foundation. Happy to be here, Great to have you here. And it's
- 1:27almost time for the Hall of Fame again. It's right. We're going to
- 1:30enshrine a few great teachers in our school system. This is our fourteenth year
- 1:37hosting this event, so we are thrilled to honor four educators this year.
- 1:42We've got Sue Reynolds who taught home economics at the High School for quite a
- 1:46long time and there was a substitute for I think like twenty years after she'd
- 1:49officially retired. Wow. And then we have Vicky Bartholomey Drose who taught at
- 1:56Wayside and Hoover Elementar some of the DROs Okay Yes. And then we have
- 2:02David Boone who was a principal lots of our elementary schools over his career,
- 2:07Oak Park, Wayside, Ranch Heights and he's actually coming back from Arizona for
- 2:14the event to be honored. And then we have a legacy inductee Paula Steeper,
- 2:17Paula Pitchlin Steeper, who was a teacher at Ranch Heights for a while.
- 2:22She's still with us, but she's in Coffeeville and her health is deteriorated,
- 2:25so she's unable to be with us in person, but we'll still honor
- 2:29her at that event. Awesome when you think about those teachers and all the
- 2:34lives they impacted in a career like that through the decades and in different schools
- 2:38and different ages of children and all the families and everything. And that's what
- 2:44you guys do is support Bartlesow Public Schools and enable that to keep going exactly
- 2:49in highlighting and provide more resources. Absolutely, So that's what this event does,
- 2:53right, is it's recognizing these teachers and these are all teachers that they're
- 2:57the ones who are not you know, closing their door when class is over,
- 3:01right, They're going out to events with students to celebrate them after school
- 3:06hours. They're doing things in their home with their students. I mean,
- 3:08they really dedicated their lives to their students. We want to celebrate them and
- 3:12recognize all the great teachers we have. It's also really inspiring for current teachers.
- 3:16So We have a lot of current teachers and principles because they can see
- 3:20kind of this is what it looks like to really leave a legacy on their
- 3:23students. And then all the funds that are raised from the event do go
- 3:27to support our foundation programs, right, and those are so important you do
- 3:30as do stuff all year a line we do and take care of our control.
- 3:35Yeah, the foundation has really grown from just teacher grants that it's been
- 3:38doing consistently since nineteen eighty five to now we have them for twenty different programs
- 3:42that we're supporting in our schools, just really keeping Bartlesville kind of a top
- 3:46tier in our region in terms of education. Well, it's so important.
- 3:50I mean, Bartlesville is known for having a great public school system and great
- 3:53schools, and I know resources are not are always hard to come by in
- 3:58education. You could always use more because of the important work do. So
- 4:02Luckily, we have a community that understands that and the values public education,
- 4:06and so we've got some great community partners to support these programs and obviously a
- 4:12great leadership team to kind of have that vision to what do we want to
- 4:14bring in for our students to keep them competitive in the classroom and then beyond
- 4:18that's awesome. You know, we call it sparks at the dealership, which
- 4:23is the you know, when things get started and teachers do that. I
- 4:26can think back all the great teachers I had in my life and how they
- 4:29impacted us and my and the teachers and my family, my wife and grandmother.
- 4:34We're teachers, right, and it's a you know, it's a it's
- 4:39a it is something we should never take for granted when our teachers do for
- 4:43our community. And so we're glad to help you again with the Hall of
- 4:46Fame event and all the stuff you do. So you've got another event coming
- 4:51right around the corner there, we do. So we've got Hall of Fame
- 4:55on April and fourth, and we still have some tickets available, although we're
- 4:58pushing three hundred people at this which is one of the biggest attendance we've had
- 5:01at our Hall of Fame, and that's at the Community Center. Yeah,
- 5:04Dungeon has been a sponsor of the High School's table for I don't know since
- 5:09it started, probably well, so that's really nice because as a sponsor,
- 5:16you all are supporting principles to attend and current teachers from the High school to
- 5:20attend as well as supporting our foundation program, so we do appreciate that.
- 5:26But then yes, we have kind of a week not off, but a
- 5:28week in between, and then on the eighteenth a week to prepare and then
- 5:31on the eighteenth of April, which is another Thursday, we have a big
- 5:35event at Dungeon Stadium. It's our Bruins of the Year celebration. This is
- 5:40where our district honors and recognizes our district teacher of the year. We've got
- 5:44a Rising Star of the Year, a Classified Support staff Person of the Year,
- 5:47a Substitute of the Year, so a lot of big awards come out
- 5:50of that. It is a free event, open to the public. We
- 5:54just want to pack the stands and we really do and that events. Yeah,
- 5:57that's got four hundred people in the past that it tend. We hope
- 6:00for good weather. We've got free hot dogs from our Best Bank. They'll
- 6:04blank popcorn and hot dogs. Patriot is also a sponsor of that event,
- 6:08so just come out and get some free food and bring your kids and just
- 6:12really cheer on these teachers. It's a fun, casual event. That's awesome.
- 6:15It sounds like a lot of fun and that's again April eighteenth, and
- 6:19then next Thursday is the Educator Hall of Fame April five. April fourth is
- 6:24the Hall of Fame. That's a ticketed event and we have the Eatery supplying
- 6:27some great treat boxes for all of our guests at that event, and we'll
- 6:30release our Foundation Impact video. And then yes, the eighteenth of April is
- 6:34the Bruins of the Year. That is free, that's open to the public.
- 6:38Awesome, lots of great stuff going on. I mentioned some of the
- 6:41stuff that's been happening out at the dealership. There is a lot of really
- 6:46cool stuff happening. You know. It's weird how the model year evolution has
- 6:51changed. It used to be kind of compact and in the fall. By
- 6:56right now we're getting on our very first four f one fifty of the twenty
- 7:00four model year. They've just started to arrive, and we're going to have
- 7:03our first twenty fives on the Ford Explore arrive in a few weeks. So
- 7:11each model kind of changes at a different scale a different time now. So
- 7:15if you're shopping and looking at model years, you might see some of the
- 7:18twenty five starting to pop up pretty soon. Lots of great new technology coming
- 7:24and really incredible stuff. We're seeing that in the now got four of the
- 7:29all new Tacoma in stock, and this has been highly anticipating. People that
- 7:35drive Tacomas know what I'm talking about. It's a great vehicle and we've been
- 7:39in a model year changeover and inventory is kind of shrunk. It's one of
- 7:43our best selling vehicles here around here because of its great abilities. I mean,
- 7:48it's just very sturdy and keeps going forever. And now it's going to
- 7:53have a hybrid engine option that we'll have. We don't have quite yet,
- 7:58but that'll be allocated for and later in April. And now that we've got
- 8:03four in stock, you can really start to see how the different trim levels
- 8:07are stacked up. There's a lot more options now in Tacoma than there used
- 8:11to be with different trim levels and options, and the hybrid engine is one
- 8:18example. They're going to have a trail Hunter edition that's really cool for people
- 8:22that want to use these vehicles outdoors and the lifestyle type stuff. Lots of
- 8:26accessories you can add to. This has going on throughout the industry. We're
- 8:33seeing it on r J. All are the Broncos we sell in Bronco Sports
- 8:37because these vehicles really are meant to be used out there in lifestyle, you
- 8:41know, on trips or going to play in the mud or wherever you like
- 8:46to play. Yeah, that's we've I mentioned the Broncos Sport. That's been
- 8:52a really real hit lately. We've sold we can just keep selling them and
- 8:56it's becoming one of the best selling a little fours we've had. And people
- 9:01may underestimate it. It's it's smaller package than the Bronco but it's really is
- 9:07an outdoor vehicle. It's got all the stuff you need to really get out
- 9:13there and play, and it's a little that's expensive and not as big.
- 9:16It's great fuel economy, really comfortable and drives well too, So you come
- 9:20check that out. We also next week there's a broadcast on a new ford
- 9:28that is going to be called Mustang gt D and you might want to google
- 9:31that if you're into supercars. So this is all here at ten oh seven.
- 9:39This is the taking Mustang to a whole new level than it's ever been.
- 9:45I think, you know, I think that they're expecting it to cost
- 9:48around three hundred thousand dollars, So that gets you an idea. I'll be
- 9:52the level entry level is high. It's not going to be like allocated out
- 9:58like normal Mustangs and then sitting on the lot. So you'll have to get
- 10:03on the list, and we'll have to work closely with the GTD development team
- 10:07to get yours built and it they'll all be essentially bespoke one off vehicles for
- 10:13people and lots of incredible technology. But you know, we've had you know,
- 10:20street legal, track ready Mustangs before, but again, this one just
- 10:24takes it to a whole other level. And we've got our first real broadcast
- 10:28on that on how it's, how allocation is going to work, how we'll
- 10:31be involved in the selling of those. I know there's already online places to
- 10:37put your name on the list, to get it, to get an option
- 10:39to or get more information as these as these start to become available if you're
- 10:45interested Mustang GTD and I won't be for everybody, but I know everybody is
- 10:50going to want to look at as far as we'll get On the Toyota side,
- 10:58we've had a lot of great stuff happening with you know, just still
- 11:01I mentioned the Tacoma and some of our other new product Crown Sequaia Tundra even
- 11:09it's still relatively new, and you know, it's just people are really appreciating
- 11:15that Crown people don't know has kind of replaced the Avalon. So this is
- 11:20a new Sedan, a Ford or Sedan top level, has all the technology.
- 11:26Really a fun car to drive, I drove on for a bit.
- 11:30Has a great few economy but also great power. It's a it is hybrid
- 11:35all wheel drive, really comfortable. Has like pretty much all new vehicles anymore,
- 11:41but for sure toyotas and forwards. It comes with all kinds of great
- 11:45technology to help you in driving essentially, whether it's lane keeping and adaptive cruise
- 11:50control technology to almost driving you were. In some cases it is driving.
- 11:58Yeah, my expedition I took on our spring break trip last week and going
- 12:03to Crested. But the hands free zone and blue cruise isn't in the whole
- 12:09route because we take a lot of two lane roads and such. But when
- 12:11we get got on the four lane roads, it was it would go hands
- 12:16free. All of a sudden, it tell me I can take over now
- 12:18if you want. I got this and I could let go and sit back
- 12:22and it actually drives for you. I did it the first time at the
- 12:28last Ford meeting when we were out in Las Vegas on the highways out there
- 12:33and in heavy traffic. You know, it can't handle it. It's pretty
- 12:37incredible stuff. It can't handle everything. It'll tell you I can't handle this
- 12:43and say take over, and so you got to be alert. You do
- 12:48have to be alert. You cannot take a nap rude or play on your
- 12:52phone, and texting is not advised. Things like that. No, I
- 12:56mean the same basic rules. You know, I'm on a twelve hour drive,
- 13:01so still just the ability to relax for a second is really really nice.
- 13:07And even if you're not in the blue cruise zones. You know,
- 13:09both the adaptive cruise control and the ability for the cars to kind of do
- 13:15the lane keeping for you or or has just improved so much. I think,
- 13:18you know, at first it was kind of intrusive and how how people
- 13:22drove if people have those cars. From maybe ten years ago, this technology
- 13:28started coming out, and I remember it kind of just jigged you on when
- 13:33you were drifted towards the line or something, but it wasn't as fine tuned
- 13:39as it is today. It's certainly people are trusting it more. They do
- 13:41trust it more. I've gotten more used to it, so it doesn't surprise
- 13:46me, I suppose. But that's my point on all that is, you
- 13:50know, come out check this stuff out if you if you're driving a car
- 13:52that doesn't have that kind of technology, it's going to offer a lot of
- 13:56safety and comfort that you're you know, you know that you're protected. I
- 14:01mean stuff like you know, just in reversing it, it warns you you
- 14:07can see look three hundred and sixty degrees around a lot of vehicles now with
- 14:11cameras, there's just so much happening in vehicles that that if you haven't checked
- 14:16it out, and Star asked our great sales team about that, you need
- 14:20to come out and check it out. So I was gonna say something,
- 14:26but I'm not gonna. I gotta say, you know, do you got
- 14:30that little thing there with the auto drive that tells a person like my age
- 14:35that that's the gas and not the break Yet I don't. I just don't
- 14:39want to make I just don't want to make oscar. Well, you know
- 14:43the thing there is on Maki you have a one pedal system. This doesn't
- 14:50always work. I mean you can turn it on off is what I'm saying.
- 14:52So, but Maki has a one pedal system, so when you take
- 14:56your foot off the gas, it actually starts to break. Yeah, so
- 15:01it takes a little bit different getting used to. But again just evolution and
- 15:05how we drive, and what happens is the breaking regenerates to create electricity a
- 15:11little bit, not much to really add to your charge, but it does
- 15:15a little bit. So it's efficiency and giving the vehicle more more kind of
- 15:20energy to do what it does. And then and so you don't really have
- 15:24to check your you know, use two pedals in that situation. Tom Yeah,
- 15:30the first time I do one with it in that mode, I was
- 15:33like, what is right? You have to get used to. I'm sure
- 15:37the teachers we're going to talk about at the Hall of Fame, I've been
- 15:41through all these kinds of changes, right, I know. We're going to
- 15:45celebrate, uh, tomorrow morning. We have a thirty five year employee.
- 15:50We're going to have a celebration for his retirement, John Frazy. It's been
- 15:56a technician or mechanic we used to call him then and now we call him
- 15:58technicals. He deserves more and more of the title. Yeah than that.
- 16:03He's one of the you know, he's been there the whole time I've been
- 16:07there, A good friend of mine. So I was in Detroit with him
- 16:11when nine to eleven happened and we had to get people to come get us
- 16:15and bring us back in a van. A bunch of us were up there
- 16:18for a Ford training event, and uh, I remember so many great things
- 16:22with John. When I have a question about a vehicle that I can't get
- 16:25a good answer from others, I'll go to John. And you know,
- 16:29he's very handy. Is I said it a few weeks ago when I was
- 16:33talking about him, But he has an old diesel truck. It used to
- 16:37be diesel, but now it runs on used transmission fluid. Mostly I thought
- 16:41you were joking. No, this is real. I mean John is a
- 16:44real McCoy. He's the real McCoy. Anyway, we're gonna have a breakfast
- 16:48for him. And it just reminds me of the teachers, you know.
- 16:51And one of the great things John has had to deal with is all the
- 16:56change in our industry and working on those cars. I think over from nineteen
- 17:00eighty nine what the car was to today. Oh yeah, so is he
- 17:06going? Is he? Has he been going to regular training throughout this process.
- 17:10It's all computer. He's a certified master mechanic in both Ford and Toyota.
- 17:15You know, he's a real special guy. Yeah, And you know,
- 17:18while people may not he didn't want to work on electric vehicles very much.
- 17:25Probably that I think that's fair to say. But he probably knows more
- 17:27about him right anybody out there when it comes right down to it. Anyway,
- 17:33great guy, But all those changes you go through in that, I'm
- 17:37sure teaching in school is going through all that too. You think about the
- 17:42teachers that had the touch those lives and really the fabric of our community.
- 17:48Absolutely, and because the kids grow up, they become well that's what severally
- 17:53so I interview each of these inductees, you know, leading up to the
- 17:57celebration to kind of get their back ground and what got them into teaching.
- 18:02And one of the things they all consistently say is how they really see the
- 18:07benefit of their work when they hear from students that are in their twenties and
- 18:10thirties and forties, right once they become parents and they come back and say,
- 18:12hey, you really impacted me as a third grade teacher or as a
- 18:15principal, and so a lot of those students will come back for this event,
- 18:21and it's just that's their favorite part, I think as teachers is getting
- 18:23to see the impact they made long term. For those of us who don't
- 18:26know the teachers, because I don't know them all, it's so inspirational to
- 18:30see the stories and here and learn about their careers and what in the impact
- 18:36they've had. And you get a chance to kind of mingle with the crowd
- 18:38and meet some of the teachers and family members. Sure, it's a really
- 18:45really great event and always inspires for us. We love I mean, all
- 18:48of our events are fundraisers, but they're also about bringing the community in right
- 18:52and reminding them what amazing teachers we have, what amazing leadership team we have
- 18:56in our school district, because it's something that we all need to be knowledge
- 19:00about and appreciate. For sure. In that event is the Bartsville Public School
- 19:06Foundation Educator Hall of Fame. It's April fourth, next week, next Thursday,
- 19:11four to five thirty at the Barsville Community Center. You said only a
- 19:15few tickets are left. Only a few tickets are left. We definitely are
- 19:18maxing out the venue, which is great news for us and great news for
- 19:22those teachers because they deserve a great, great crowd and all of those funds,
- 19:26and like in all of your events, anything you raise goes back in
- 19:30that's great public school. You mentioned the teacher grants and things, which are
- 19:36great. Yeah, tell us a little more detail about how that works.
- 19:40Sure, so teachers. And it's interesting because some of our inductees have received
- 19:44Foundation grants because we've just been doing this in the classroom since the eighties.
- 19:48But yeah, they write to us. We have a committee that's some of
- 19:52our foundation board members, some community members get together and evaluate these grants.
- 19:56But teachers, right right, they're the ones who know what's going to work
- 20:00for their students, what's going to really engage their students, So they come
- 20:03up with the ideas. It has to be something kind of innovative. It's
- 20:06not basic curriculum supplies. These are really I want to bring something new and
- 20:10exciting into my classroom. I want to bring in some hands all on activity
- 20:12to really reinforce the curriculum that I'm teaching. And so they write the grants,
- 20:17the committee reviews them, and then we award the funds through the district.
- 20:21So we probably give a little bit over twenty five twenty five to thirty
- 20:26grants a year to our teachers, and they can range from a couple hundred
- 20:30dollars. I mean, we had a high school teacher apply for Yo yo's
- 20:33which were one hundred and thirty dollars to teach physics right to her students and
- 20:37really explain those concepts. But then we had a grant at Wayside this year
- 20:41that was five thousand dollars where we got a book for every single student to
- 20:45do kind of a collective reading an analysis as a school. So they really
- 20:51range, but we give out about a little over fifty thousand dollars a year
- 20:53in grants. So that's been a consistent program for us for almost forty years.
- 21:00And you also have other programs and things you do talk about absolutely sure.
- 21:06So we've really expanded since our superintendent, Chuck mcaulay kind of came in.
- 21:10He started asking the foundation and our board to do more. What else
- 21:12could we do for the district? Right, So we started off providing some
- 21:17seed money for different district programs. That started with Elementary Stem, expanding that
- 21:22into all of our elementary schools. We provided the seed money for that and
- 21:25then bond funds took over to sustain that program. Same with the agriculture program.
- 21:29This year it's been childcare support for teachers that's been that district initiative.
- 21:33So all of these are really tied with the strategic plan, right, but
- 21:37one big issue absolutely exactly, and that's what's amazing is that that STEM program
- 21:44also received national recognition. The ag program the same thing. We've done a
- 21:48lot with broadcasting in our middle schools and high school so really district strategic initiatives
- 21:53that they just need seed money to either expand or to bring into the schools.
- 21:59We have Bruins on the Run, which is one of our favorite elementary
- 22:02school programs. It's an after school running and mentoring program for fifth graders.
- 22:06They are wrapping up a spring kind of mini session where they'll run the k
- 22:10Life ten k next Saturday. That is so we've got we had about one
- 22:15hundred and twenty kids in that program in the fall, and then most of
- 22:18those kids come back and run again in the spring with their teacher mentors.
- 22:22The foundation covers all the costs of shoes and race registrations, and it's just
- 22:26amazing to see what these kids can do. And that sure thras too Oh,
- 22:33absolutely, We definitely. We've got a lot of kids shamrock the bill
- 22:38filled with run the Streets and Bruins Run. Yeah, and so many of
- 22:44those kids. We've heard from David Airs, our cross country and track coach,
- 22:48that you know, so many of those kids will come in sixth graders
- 22:51and join the cross country team and he doesn't have to work a lot with
- 22:53them on pacing and you know those fundamentals because they've learned it through the fifth
- 22:57grade program. So it's getting a lot of kids interested in activities that might
- 23:02not otherwise be engaged. That's great. And then let's go ahead and mention
- 23:07again the Bruins of the Year event. Yeah, so Hall of Fame comes
- 23:10up excuse me on April fourth, four, five thirty at the Community Center.
- 23:14That is a ticketed event for our honoring our retired teachers. And then
- 23:18we've got Bruins of the Year, which is the district's Teacher of the Year
- 23:21celebration. But we're honoring so many more than just the teachers, staff,
- 23:25support staff, substitutes recognizing them at Dungeu Stadium April to eighteenth. Gates open
- 23:30at five o'clock. The program starts at five thirty and it's free for everybody
- 23:34who wants to show up. We've got free hot dogs and popcorn for everybody.
- 23:37And event that will happen. Yes, we get we get to catch
- 23:41our breath and finish up the school year and then we always kick off the
- 23:44school year together as a community. And that's again just such a great event.
- 23:48Talk about like having our community come into our schools. They're coming in
- 23:52to the Bartoles Volge Commons, the High School Commons and hearing from our superintendent
- 23:56and he does a great job giving an update on all the things kind of
- 23:59going on, all important stuff happening. Yeah's so important for our community to
- 24:03stay engaged and informed. Great events coming up and so much to do.
- 24:07And I do want to mention again so that people know that they can come.
- 24:11If you were impacted by Sue Reynolds, Vicki bartholemy DROs David Boone or
- 24:15Paula Steeper, if you you your kids, your family, so there's a
- 24:19chance to help honor them next Thursday. Those are those teachers have been a
- 24:26really critical a part of the fabric of our community. And you know they
- 24:30and all their associates and everyone else really in their school system because we don't
- 24:34want to forget about all the support that needs to happen to get kids to
- 24:38school absolutely keep them engaged and engaged. And then you know all the stuff
- 24:44that also happens in Bartlesville because you know with the between all the after school
- 24:48program, I mean, everybody works as a team. And I'm so grateful
- 24:52that our community can support all of these organizations because they really do come together
- 24:56to me kind of a full pigion. And that's a great segue into Okay,
- 24:59we're almost to April. I've got to finish truck on first April.
- 25:03It's our anniversary month at DUNGEUS. This is our eighty fourth birthday, third
- 25:10anniversary selling forwards in Bartlesville. It's about ninety five years in Oklahoma altogether.
- 25:15We're really proud of that, but mostly we're proud of our community. You
- 25:19know, when you buy a car at Dungeons, you're always giving back to
- 25:22the community because of dozens of organizations we support. And I'd love to do
- 25:29that, truthfully, and it you know, it means sometimes I can't be
- 25:32the biggest giver in the thing, but I like to give. I've done
- 25:34everything from to you know, swine pig shows before the before the county,
- 25:45to sponsoring cookoffs and you know for the world fire departments, you know,
- 25:52and we just love to do those kinds of things and help people create sparks.
- 25:56Right and but next month is our anniversary, and just like last year,
- 26:00we're going to support the nonprofits in our community. Every car that is
- 26:03purchased at Done just next month, you will give one hundred dollars to the
- 26:07charity of your choice. The charity gets the most gifts, we'll erase that
- 26:14to two hundred and fifty retro to the first gift. Last year, Hopestone
- 26:18got the most. We had over we had a couple probably a dozen charities
- 26:25that were selected by the people we're going to we're expanding the list about the
- 26:30thirty this year. Not that, but you can write in any charity you
- 26:34like, so people can pick whatever they want. And you know, it's
- 26:40just a chance to give back and for us to kind of focus on on
- 26:45this part of what we do at the company and to rally our teams around
- 26:48it. You know, we've been talking about what charity should we focus on
- 26:52this year, and I've heard so much from people that you know about the
- 26:56impact the charities have on their ways of our employees the journey home. Several
- 27:02people have brought up the importance of that organization, you know. I know
- 27:06that one of the reasons that hostone did so well last year is the impact
- 27:10it had on one of our salespeople's family and his wife got cancer, and
- 27:15you know, these kinds of things impact us throughout and it's really meaningful to
- 27:22me to bring it to that level. It's not just about selling cars,
- 27:26it's about taking care of our community, of our employees and the people that
- 27:32make it all happen. And so it's an exciting time. I know the
- 27:36dealership will be really excited about it. We'll have big discounts on our cars
- 27:41too, of course, and keep doing what we do, but there's so
- 27:45you know, we're really excited about that. It's one of those legacies and
- 27:48things that you don't want to take for granted. In a third generation business,
- 27:52it's not easy to stay around that long and do what we do,
- 27:57and so really proud of that. We're always doing new things. So we've
- 28:02talked in the last few weeks about our pickup and delivery and remote service at
- 28:06Ford. Those are really doing great. We're seeing great comments from our customers
- 28:11on both the sales and service side. Lately, we've got you know,
- 28:15I mean, if you just go look at our Google reviews, I'm actually
- 28:18really proud of them right now. I can't always say that everybody that right,
- 28:26and we know we're going to mess up sometimes. We're human like everybody.
- 28:30But when our people make a good impression on people, that's that's really
- 28:33what excites me. Well, thanks for coming, Blair. Great to have
- 28:40you in again, and say lo to the family. We'll do. We'll
- 28:42see you next Thursday and we'll be out there on Highway seventy five, nineteen
- 28:49oh one, nineteen eleven, southeast Washington Boulevard on the west side. As
- 28:55you say in the base, now you look for the Ford side and the
- 29:00Toyota Monolith and it's not hard, and the hoods might be up they like
- 29:03to. They've been doing that the last few days. So it is the
- 29:07end of the month. They're trying to draw any attention they can to what's
- 29:10going on there. So come see us out there today. All right,
- 29:14Thank you very much. Folks. You've been watching and listening to our car
- 29:18Talk program right here on K one, the one you trust Thanks for listening to
