- 0:53Speaker 1: greatest of all, with Grew with Porsche. You guys, Porsche
- 0:56Speaker 1: has down days. I'm gonna say that again, Porsche has
- 1:00Speaker 1: down days. I may not always showcase what it looks
- 1:04Speaker 1: like on social media, but one thing I know for
- 1:06Speaker 1: certain is that I believe, even though my mom is
- 1:10Speaker 1: no longer here physically, I believe she's always in my corner.
- 1:14Speaker 1: So a couple of weeks ago, I was having one
- 1:17Speaker 1: of them really tough days. Y'all know what I'm talking about.
- 1:19Speaker 1: As entrepreneurs, when you want to throw on the towel,
- 1:22Speaker 1: you're exhausted, you're not seeing the ROI sometimes you fall
- 1:26Speaker 1: into the comparison. Well, anybody else can relate to that. Well,
- 1:31Speaker 1: on this particular day, I happen to go outside on
- 1:34Speaker 1: the front porch and have a package out there. Now
- 1:37Speaker 1: I know I didn't order anything, but you know what,
- 1:39Speaker 1: sometimes things come right one time for you when it's
- 1:44Speaker 1: meant to. And my uncle, those of you know I
- 1:48Speaker 1: always talk about my uncle all the time. He's like
- 1:50Speaker 1: my dad. He always reminds me, Porsche, let go let God.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I'm saying in Porsia, let go let God. And that
- 1:58Speaker 1: day he happened to say that to me. And one
- 2:01Speaker 1: of the odds that the jewelry that I received in
- 2:04Speaker 1: the mail, the bracelet, would say let go let God.
- 2:09Speaker 1: The other thing that also happened was when I opened
- 2:13Speaker 1: the second package, which had a ring, and those of
- 2:17Speaker 1: you know I talk about gratitude all the time. Gratitude
- 2:19Speaker 1: is one of my big words, and the ring just
- 2:23Speaker 1: happened to say give, forgive and be grateful to live
- 2:30Speaker 1: let that sink in today for all of you. So, today, everybody,
- 2:34Speaker 1: I have the honor of actually being joined by the
- 2:38Speaker 1: founder of the Honest Jeweler. So for those of you
- 2:42Speaker 1: who may follow The Honest Jeweler on social media, this
- 2:46Speaker 1: brand has been backed by the Mail Robins and also
- 2:49Speaker 1: Miss Rachel Platton, who wrote the song fight Song. So,
- 2:54Speaker 1: without further delay, welcome to Girul Portie, founder of The
- 2:57Speaker 1: Honest Jeweler. Miss Rachel Somoni, Welcome Rachel to group Porscha.
- 3:01Speaker 1: How are you today?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Hi? How are you? Thank you so much for having me.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It's truly an honor to be here with you. Rachel.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I agree. I was excited once I saw your story
- 3:12Speaker 1: and I said, I have to have her on because
- 3:15Speaker 1: I believe that all of us have. When we were
- 3:18Speaker 1: talking a little bit before, we started that inner fight song.
- 3:22Speaker 1: When we're going through it, when we need that reminder
- 3:26Speaker 1: to just keep going right, this too shall pass. And
- 3:29Speaker 1: I'm curious, Rachel, what is your fight song?
- 3:33Speaker 2: I went through you know a lot of you know,
- 3:37Speaker 2: hard times in my life, and you know for me,
- 3:42Speaker 2: you know, bringing in these spinner rings that I've created
- 3:47Speaker 2: has really been very grounding. I really needed something to
- 3:53Speaker 2: ground me in my life. It was really important that
- 3:57Speaker 2: I changed my inner critic. And we all have that
- 4:01Speaker 2: inner critic inside of us, you know, that negative self talk,
- 4:05Speaker 2: and I really wanted to from the depths of my
- 4:09Speaker 2: soul to change that inner critic to an inner coach.
- 4:13Speaker 2: And for me, it was it was a fight to
- 4:17Speaker 2: do that. It really was. It was not easy. And
- 4:20Speaker 2: don't get me wrong, I still do, you know, like
- 4:23Speaker 2: you said, we have our ups, we have our downs,
- 4:25Speaker 2: we got those days we're just like throwing the towel.
- 4:28Speaker 2: But in general, I think that I really have empowered
- 4:32Speaker 2: myself to really be grateful for what I have, to
- 4:38Speaker 2: find meaning in every moment, to appreciate, and to really
- 4:42Speaker 2: make the invisible in our lives to become visible again.
- 4:48Speaker 2: And I think that, you know, that's really what my
- 4:51Speaker 2: you know, my story, my brand is really all about.
- 4:54Speaker 2: It's really not about jewelry. It's really just empowering you know,
- 5:00Speaker 2: everyone around us, because we all need that inner strength
- 5:03Speaker 2: that we all have our you know, battles and our
- 5:07Speaker 2: fight and it's empowering us. And I'm just so honored
- 5:11Speaker 2: and grateful that I get to, you know, that I
- 5:14Speaker 2: had the ability to find the strength inside me to
- 5:18Speaker 2: fight and to realize that, you know, our scars are
- 5:24Speaker 2: the beauty. It's our strength, and if we tap into
- 5:29Speaker 2: that strength and that light, we could create and build mountains.
- 5:34Speaker 2: And you know, thank God that I had the ability
- 5:37Speaker 2: opportunity to do that. So you know, it's really it's
- 5:42Speaker 2: really an honor and a pleasure.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You know, Rachel, you brought up how you were able
- 5:46Speaker 1: to turn your inner critic into your inner coach. I'm curious, Rachel,
- 5:52Speaker 1: what was the limiting belief that you were holding onto.
- 5:57Speaker 2: I felt like I had so much you know, pain
- 6:02Speaker 2: and guilt inside me, and you know that I wasn't enough,
- 6:08Speaker 2: that I wasn't you know, worthy, that I wasn't going
- 6:11Speaker 2: to be a good mother, and it was very difficult
- 6:16Speaker 2: for me to really you know, accept or receive, to
- 6:20Speaker 2: be open to feel. I feel like I was numb
- 6:23Speaker 2: for such a long time, and that numbness, I have
- 6:27Speaker 2: to say that really went away. I am able to
- 6:31Speaker 2: like feel with emotion. I'm able to forgive, and I
- 6:34Speaker 2: think that's why one of my rings was the ring
- 6:38Speaker 2: that I that you were mentioning, was give when you're
- 6:42Speaker 2: really truly true happiness is when you really give, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 2: and it's not about be taking and what can I
- 6:47Speaker 2: get next? It's giving and then there's forgiveness because sometimes
- 6:53Speaker 2: it hurts and there's resentment and there's pain and if
- 6:57Speaker 2: you hold on to that, and like you said, you
- 6:59Speaker 2: don't go and like God, just like your uncle mentioned,
- 7:04Speaker 2: that's the truth, you got to forgive, because once you forgive,
- 7:07Speaker 2: you just that heaviness in your heart just softens. I
- 7:12Speaker 2: was talking to actually a relative of mine, and she
- 7:17Speaker 2: was mentioning certain things about like, well, she shouldn't have
- 7:20Speaker 2: done that and she shouldn't and I was like, why
- 7:21Speaker 2: don't you transfer all of that anger to just feel
- 7:25Speaker 2: sorry for her? Like she was. She didn't she loved
- 7:29Speaker 2: the way she could. She didn't have She grew up
- 7:33Speaker 2: a way, you know, she was an orphan. Her parents
- 7:37Speaker 2: died when she was three. She was like, I was
- 7:40Speaker 2: just explaining things to her and she was like, oh, Rachel,
- 7:43Speaker 2: I never thought about that, you know, like instead of that,
- 7:46Speaker 2: and she had valid anger, you know, she she had
- 7:49Speaker 2: valid It was valid what she was saying and it
- 7:52Speaker 2: wasn't fair. But at the end of the day, sometimes
- 7:55Speaker 2: when you just transfer that feeling of you know, anger
- 8:00Speaker 2: to just like this softness comes over you and you
- 8:02Speaker 2: look at this person whoever you're anger at in a
- 8:05Speaker 2: different way. And I'm not saying that's easy, but definitely
- 8:09Speaker 2: I just look at you know, those people in just
- 8:13Speaker 2: a different light. You know, they had their journey, they
- 8:16Speaker 2: had their story, and maybe they did whatever they could,
- 8:20Speaker 2: and they love the way they could, the way they
- 8:24Speaker 2: knew how, you know, and and it might have been
- 8:27Speaker 2: not enough for or it wasn't fair, or you deserved more,
- 8:30Speaker 2: and you could be right. But you know, I think
- 8:33Speaker 2: that that all of that really just softens your heart
- 8:37Speaker 2: and empowers you to be to just go a little
- 8:39Speaker 2: bit you know, easier, you know, on yourself and not
- 8:42Speaker 2: hold that all that anger. So I put give forgive,
- 8:45Speaker 2: and then that just gratefulness to live. If you're grateful,
- 8:50Speaker 2: I mean, you're just living a different life. You know.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Part of being a lot of my rings and my
- 8:56Speaker 2: bangles and everything that I do is is is really
- 8:59Speaker 2: revolving around mind fullness. And I remember once I was
- 9:04Speaker 2: asking myself like, how do I know I'm really being mindful?
- 9:07Speaker 2: Like how do I know that I'm really practicing it?
- 9:10Speaker 2: And then it really hit me. I had this rush
- 9:12Speaker 2: of gratefulness inside me. One moment when my family, I
- 9:17Speaker 2: woke up my morning of my birthday, and you know, birthdays,
- 9:21Speaker 2: you know, are a little hard for me for several reasons.
- 9:24Speaker 2: And they all surprised me. My family with a little cake,
- 9:27Speaker 2: and my father came with a Peacan pie, which is
- 9:29Speaker 2: his favorite, not mine. But and I just started crying.
- 9:35Speaker 2: And I was crying because I had this rush of gratefulness,
- 9:38Speaker 2: and not only that that I wanted to savor the moment.
- 9:41Speaker 2: I was literally looking at him, and my father is
- 9:43Speaker 2: getting older, and I just looked at him and I
- 9:46Speaker 2: was like I was fully there, right here, right now,
- 9:49Speaker 2: Like I was really there when they walked in. I
- 9:53Speaker 2: felt the moment. It wasn't like hey guys, oh what's up. No, no, no, no,
- 9:57Speaker 2: Like I was in that moment, living and breathing it.
- 10:02Speaker 2: And when I hugged my dad, I hugged him. It
- 10:06Speaker 2: was like a real hug and I didn't want to
- 10:08Speaker 2: let him go. And it was just like I realized,
- 10:11Speaker 2: like that's gratefulness. But when you live like that, and
- 10:14Speaker 2: like I said, and you make that invisible visible, it's
- 10:18Speaker 2: this like it's just a different life. It really is
- 10:21Speaker 2: like your kid's birthdays maybe hit differently, or maybe that
- 10:24Speaker 2: job hits differently when you're grateful for what, you know,
- 10:27Speaker 2: that job that you got, or maybe the people that
- 10:29Speaker 2: you met, Like, oh, thank god I have her in
- 10:30Speaker 2: my life. I can call her and she's there for me,
- 10:34Speaker 2: and you know, these things just hit differently. My daughter
- 10:38Speaker 2: actually recently she lost her best friend in an accident.
- 10:44Speaker 2: So we're really you know, knee deep and really battling grief.
- 10:47Speaker 2: One watching my daughter battling really heavy grief and it's
- 10:52Speaker 2: very very hard for her to process. And being that
- 10:56Speaker 2: I had my own journey, I feel like almost like
- 11:00Speaker 2: being there for her and holding her and just allowing
- 11:04Speaker 2: her to process. That's that's like half the healing, you
- 11:08Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, Like, sometimes you just need that
- 11:10Speaker 2: person to be like I got you. It hurts and
- 11:15Speaker 2: I'm sorry, you know what I'm saying, Like, just yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 2: that like and and I feel like, you know, watching
- 11:22Speaker 2: her grieve and just like you know, mommy, I miss her.
- 11:25Speaker 2: It's not the same like I need her here I'm
- 11:27Speaker 2: in high school, like where is she? Where did she go?
- 11:29Speaker 2: Like all these feelings and just you know, being there
- 11:32Speaker 2: for her, it's hard it's really you know, life is
- 11:35Speaker 2: a journey and it's definitely you know. I I hope
- 11:41Speaker 2: I answered your question, and I'm going a little bit
- 11:43Speaker 2: on a tangent.
- 11:44Speaker 1: That's okay.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I you know, my pieces are literally like pieces of
- 11:49Speaker 2: my soul. There's a lot of soul in the jewelry.
- 11:51Speaker 2: And every single quote that I put, whether we be
- 11:54Speaker 2: lecal that God or whether it put whatever you know,
- 11:57Speaker 2: quote is in there is like a different spark in
- 11:59Speaker 2: journey in my life that I felt like I wish
- 12:02Speaker 2: I told I wish someone told.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Me, you know.
- 12:04Speaker 2: And I love the fact that I get to do
- 12:07Speaker 2: that for you know, thousands of people around and hearing
- 12:11Speaker 2: their stories and emails, and it's just so beautiful. I
- 12:14Speaker 2: don't take it for granted at.
- 12:15Speaker 1: All when you brought it up. Gratitude is that state
- 12:20Speaker 1: of being where you feel through all of your senses right,
- 12:24Speaker 1: being grateful for that boss, even though they're toughest nails
- 12:27Speaker 1: on you, they keep you employed, right, being grateful for
- 12:31Speaker 1: the moments where your kids are screaming, throwing rattles, asking
- 12:34Speaker 1: for ring pops, but you're grateful in that moment right
- 12:38Speaker 1: of their presence, what they're doing for you. And I'm curious, Rachel.
- 12:43Speaker 1: You brought up about your daughter losing a friend, right,
- 12:47Speaker 1: and I'm thinking your daughter is high school age, so
- 12:49Speaker 1: fourteen fifteen around there exactly. And I'm curious, Rachel, And
- 12:53Speaker 1: lots of love to your daughter, to you her friend's family.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I'm curious how as a parent has being with your
- 13:02Speaker 1: daughter during her grieving journey, how has that either helped
- 13:07Speaker 1: you or kind of pushed you back into your own grief,
- 13:13Speaker 1: And how also do you feel that this is also
- 13:16Speaker 1: giving your daughter permission to grieve in a healthy way.
- 13:21Speaker 2: That's a great question. It's it's a heavy one. It
- 13:26Speaker 2: definitely goes both ways. In some ways, it's healing because
- 13:31Speaker 2: I feel like almost that there was purpose a little
- 13:33Speaker 2: bit to my journey, and that is healing for me
- 13:37Speaker 2: that I get to I get to be the person
- 13:41Speaker 2: that maybe that I didn't have. So I'm doing that
- 13:45Speaker 2: for her. I'm giving her that, you know, emotional space
- 13:53Speaker 2: that she deserves. And she was crying one night, and
- 13:59Speaker 2: well she was just in her bed, lying there. And
- 14:01Speaker 2: you know, teens, they don't really come out of their.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Room, yes, right, they want to shut the world out.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Everybody sucks.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Yeah, So it was close to midnight, maybe even past midnight,
- 14:14Speaker 2: and I was about to go to bed, and I
- 14:15Speaker 2: was exhausted, and I'm like, you know what, it was
- 14:19Speaker 2: a couple of days after this girl's after her best
- 14:22Speaker 2: friend's birthday, and you know, I felt a little bit
- 14:26Speaker 2: of like she came sometimes she comes home a little bit,
- 14:28Speaker 2: you know, you know, that teenager type of like. So
- 14:31Speaker 2: I felt like maybe she was a little like heavier
- 14:33Speaker 2: than usual. Maybe I didn't know that. Mom guilt a
- 14:34Speaker 2: little bit creeps in. And it was probably past like
- 14:38Speaker 2: twelve thirty and I'm about to get into bed, and
- 14:42Speaker 2: my bed was calling me, and then this feeling came in.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Said I'm like, you know, let me go check on her.
- 14:46Speaker 2: And I went into her room and she was kind.
- 14:50Speaker 2: She was in her bed, pretended to sleep, and then
- 14:53Speaker 2: she just kind of woke up. She's like mom. I said, yeah,
- 14:59Speaker 2: I'm like, are you okay? There was no answer, and
- 15:03Speaker 2: I sat next to her bed and then I heard
- 15:05Speaker 2: sniffle and she started to cry. I saw a journal there.
- 15:09Speaker 2: I think she was journaling to her, writing to her,
- 15:12Speaker 2: because I told her just write to her, tell her
- 15:14Speaker 2: your day, tell her what's going on. And she started
- 15:20Speaker 2: to cry and I just I hugged her and I
- 15:22Speaker 2: lie down with her. And sometimes there's no words, it's
- 15:27Speaker 2: just being there, like I'm here with you. I didn't speak,
- 15:34Speaker 2: I didn't talk to her. You know, I didn't say
- 15:36Speaker 2: you know it's gonna be okay, or you know it's
- 15:39Speaker 2: been a couple of months now, you got it, like,
- 15:42Speaker 2: oh no, there's nothing, there's nothing you can say, right.
- 15:46Speaker 2: I just held her tight, brushed her hair, and I said,
- 15:51Speaker 2: I'm I'm so sorry, and I just kept saying the
- 15:55Speaker 2: same thing, and I cried with her. And I think that,
- 15:59Speaker 2: like like you're saying that it was, it's healing in
- 16:03Speaker 2: a way that like I'm able to give to her
- 16:09Speaker 2: and be therefore and I know what she needs, because
- 16:11Speaker 2: sometimes I feel like when a person goes through grief,
- 16:15Speaker 2: it's very much like you become this like sensitive and
- 16:21Speaker 2: this like transformed person that no one will be even
- 16:24Speaker 2: no one, no one can. Really you're different. I'm sorry,
- 16:28Speaker 2: You're a different human the sensitivity that you have. And
- 16:33Speaker 2: I was telling her, you know, after that night. The
- 16:36Speaker 2: next morning, she just gave me a hug and it
- 16:38Speaker 2: brings you closer. She just walked over to me, and
- 16:42Speaker 2: this is not such a teen thing to do. And
- 16:44Speaker 2: she gave me a hug, and it brings it connects you,
- 16:48Speaker 2: and I feel like a part of me. It's also
- 16:51Speaker 2: even though there are parts of me that are healing
- 16:53Speaker 2: through this journey, but it's also there's a lot of
- 16:55Speaker 2: pain because no one was there for me, and sometimes
- 17:01Speaker 2: you have to kind of pick up the pieces and
- 17:05Speaker 2: for yourself. It was very difficult for me to see
- 17:10Speaker 2: parts of her broken. But at the same time, I
- 17:14Speaker 2: told her, this is going to make you into a
- 17:18Speaker 2: different person your entire life. And you're gonna see you're
- 17:24Speaker 2: gonna have this sensitivity towards people. You're gonna be You're
- 17:27Speaker 2: gonna have this strength, this courage and this like and
- 17:33Speaker 2: and I told her, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry that you're,
- 17:36Speaker 2: you know, in so much pain. And there's it's a
- 17:39Speaker 2: lot for a ten year old, you know. I mean,
- 17:42Speaker 2: she's fourteen now, but it really is a lot. It's
- 17:45Speaker 2: a lot. But I'm happy that I'm able to understand
- 17:48Speaker 2: her in ways that I think. No, I don't think
- 17:51Speaker 2: my mom would have understood me, you know, or any
- 17:54Speaker 2: my you know, anyone, honestly, because a person who goes
- 17:58Speaker 2: through grief under stands the other person going like you
- 18:03Speaker 2: understand you know, and if you didn't, you know, lift
- 18:06Speaker 2: through it, then it's hard to and it's not necessarily
- 18:09Speaker 2: their fault. It's just hard to say I'm holding space
- 18:12Speaker 2: for you.
- 18:13Speaker 1: You know.
- 18:13Speaker 2: That's very like, that's a feeling that I don't know
- 18:16Speaker 2: how many people could say that I'm thinking of you,
- 18:19Speaker 2: like I could be going to bed. Honestly, my husband
- 18:21Speaker 2: can go like ghost to bis, like look, why are
- 18:23Speaker 2: you in your room? Go to bed? But he doesn't
- 18:25Speaker 2: have that sensitivity forwards her. He doesn't. He's a great guy,
- 18:29Speaker 2: but he doesn't. He doesn't get it. He thinks like,
- 18:31Speaker 2: all right, she'll be okay and she'll move on, you know,
- 18:35Speaker 2: And I'm like, right, yeah, but it's part of moving
- 18:39Speaker 2: on is being there for the person, showing that I'm
- 18:45Speaker 2: holding space for you and that I love you, and
- 18:46Speaker 2: then I'm with you and that all that healing can
- 18:50Speaker 2: come maybe just a little bit faster, you know what
- 18:53Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Right right, And with you being a mom to a
- 18:57Speaker 1: teenager where you've got the horn moans up in there,
- 19:01Speaker 1: you got the high school pressures, and now you're feeling
- 19:05Speaker 1: this deep void because your best friend has transitioned young
- 19:10Speaker 1: and then of course the state of the world, right
- 19:12Speaker 1: they feel they know, And I think, how beautiful, Rachel,
- 19:17Speaker 1: that you're able to meet your daughter there where so
- 19:21Speaker 1: many parents are. They want to hide their grief, right,
- 19:27Speaker 1: they don't want their kids to see them vulnerable. And
- 19:30Speaker 1: I'm grateful to hear that you're being present with her
- 19:35Speaker 1: in her We.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Shared a bit of my story to her, which I
- 19:38Speaker 2: never I never even thought I would, you know. I
- 19:42Speaker 2: opened up pieces of me that I shared with her,
- 19:47Speaker 2: and she like, we hugged each other. Sorry, Mom, that
- 19:52Speaker 2: must have really hurt. That must have been so painful
- 19:55Speaker 2: all these years, you know, and we just like hugged
- 19:58Speaker 2: each other, and it was such a moment that it
- 20:00Speaker 2: really brought us closer, you know, you can heal from
- 20:04Speaker 2: these things and connect and like really connect the pieces.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Like it was almost like a king like a full
- 20:11Speaker 2: circle type of thing where we were able to hold
- 20:15Speaker 2: each other. And she was like really, she was really crying.
- 20:19Speaker 2: She was scared. She's like, Mom, what if you leave me.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm not, I'm not leaving you. She's like, right,
- 20:24Speaker 2: but she did, and almost like death becomes closer. So
- 20:29Speaker 2: it's scary, you know, like especially if you're a teen,
- 20:31Speaker 2: because a teen child can't process that. We can't process this,
- 20:36Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. Our brain, Okay, our brains
- 20:39Speaker 2: it's so hard to process what grief is, like what
- 20:42Speaker 2: just happened? You know, like no, that can't happen. No,
- 20:46Speaker 2: you know. And and for a child to process grief,
- 20:49Speaker 2: it's it's even harder. The brain. It's almost like not
- 20:52Speaker 2: in it's not fully developed to really understand, you know.
- 20:57Speaker 2: And I told her, I'm like, I'm here for you.
- 20:59Speaker 2: I'm not going anywhere, you know, And it was it
- 21:02Speaker 2: was just like a moment where it really brought us closer.
- 21:05Speaker 2: And I'm I'm grateful for that that this it didn't
- 21:10Speaker 2: you know, people say like, oh, you know, it must
- 21:12Speaker 2: be so hard for you a problem like you're you know,
- 21:14Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say, I'm gonna be honest. It's definitely draining,
- 21:19Speaker 2: you know, But because it's it's also how you look
- 21:22Speaker 2: at it's perspective, Like it's either that she's draining me,
- 21:25Speaker 2: like enough, get your you know, get yourself together, like
- 21:29Speaker 2: or I can come over to her and see when
- 21:33Speaker 2: she's sitting down spacing out on the couch and looks
- 21:35Speaker 2: a little sad and just sit next to her and say,
- 21:38Speaker 2: what's going on? Are you okay? And s A lot
- 21:41Speaker 2: of parents don't have time for that, or don't want
- 21:43Speaker 2: to do it, or it's tiring, or you don't want
- 21:45Speaker 2: to get into an emotional conversation because it gets heavy.
- 21:47Speaker 2: And right now, I don't want to get heavy. I
- 21:49Speaker 2: actually want to go out to dinner with my friends
- 21:52Speaker 2: later on at eight o'clock. And I don't want to
- 21:53Speaker 2: have this conversation right now with her, but I know
- 21:56Speaker 2: that she needs it, and you know, mama's running around.
- 22:00Speaker 2: And sometimes you don't want to be a burden, you
- 22:02Speaker 2: know that feeling of like guilt, like I don't want
- 22:04Speaker 2: a burden my friend right now. But you know what,
- 22:06Speaker 2: and I always feel like that, and I hate that
- 22:08Speaker 2: feeling about myself. It's not fair because what are you know,
- 22:12Speaker 2: what are family and friends for if I'm feeling something.
- 22:17Speaker 2: And I told one of my friends this, I said,
- 22:19Speaker 2: if I message you, you know and we have a
- 22:22Speaker 2: certain code that means like I need you, I'm falling apart.
- 22:26Speaker 2: This is the moment where because sometimes you know how
- 22:28Speaker 2: we get the same conversations of grief and kind of
- 22:32Speaker 2: like you discuss it with your you know, spouse or boyfriend,
- 22:34Speaker 2: the same conversation over and No, it's just got to
- 22:36Speaker 2: kind of like get it out again pain and then
- 22:41Speaker 2: like just release it. And then you're having that same
- 22:44Speaker 2: conversation you had fifty times. It's like that best friend,
- 22:46Speaker 2: I can hear you and over again, but you discussed
- 22:49Speaker 2: this like ten times and she said, you know that
- 22:53Speaker 2: it's not your fault, or it couldn't have been different,
- 22:56Speaker 2: or you know what I'm saying. We reviewed all of this,
- 22:58Speaker 2: but you just kind of got to hear it again, right,
- 23:00Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying for the tenth time or
- 23:02Speaker 2: the hundredth time. And I told her, I'm like, I'm
- 23:04Speaker 2: gonna have I'm gonna need you sometimes to get me
- 23:06Speaker 2: out of my lobe. You know, can you do that
- 23:10Speaker 2: even though you did it, you know a hundred other times,
- 23:13Speaker 2: but can you do it one hundred and one times?
- 23:15Speaker 2: Because I'm kind of feeling in this like funk right
- 23:18Speaker 2: now and I can get help. I know that about myself.
- 23:20Speaker 2: So when I look at her, I don't you know,
- 23:23Speaker 2: see her as like again you know, she's thinking about
- 23:26Speaker 2: her friend. Well, yeah, they went away with a group
- 23:29Speaker 2: of friends. She had a weekend away from a class trip.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Her best friend wasn't there. Yes, it's heavy. Yes, she's
- 23:35Speaker 2: thinking that it would have been way more fun if
- 23:38Speaker 2: she was there. One hundred percent. She's feeling heavy, and
- 23:41Speaker 2: what's wrong with that? That's normal emotion. So we got
- 23:44Speaker 2: to be like, oh, let's not talk about it so
- 23:46Speaker 2: she can heal faster. No, the opposite, And a lot
- 23:50Speaker 2: of times people don't get that. So I'm grateful that
- 23:52Speaker 2: I'm able to like really understand her because I live
- 23:56Speaker 2: through it, you.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Know, right, and you because of your own experience, you
- 24:01Speaker 1: know what it's like to not have someone there to
- 24:04Speaker 1: say I see you, just to be in your presence
- 24:09Speaker 1: to comfort you, not even to say anything, right, because
- 24:13Speaker 1: sometimes too many words or too much or the same
- 24:16Speaker 1: regurgitated platitudes of oh, if you need anything, call me,
- 24:20Speaker 1: or there are no words. Oh I'm not gonna we'd
- 24:23Speaker 1: have to do a part two on that, Rachel, if
- 24:25Speaker 1: I'm going to go down that boat. But Rachel, really quick,
- 24:29Speaker 1: we're going to be wrapping up here soon. And for
- 24:32Speaker 1: our audience who's tuning in if they want to connect
- 24:35Speaker 1: with you and you know, get some of your jewelry
- 24:39Speaker 1: from the Honest Jeweler. Please share with them how they
- 24:42Speaker 1: can and also tell us kind of if there's any
- 24:47Speaker 1: new things that you're going to do for twenty twenty
- 24:49Speaker 1: six for the jewelry company.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Thank you. So we definitely have a lot of newness coming.
- 24:54Speaker 2: But I'll start with we have an Instagram account where
- 24:57Speaker 2: we're very active on It's called the Honest Jeweler and
- 25:00Speaker 2: definitely our best selling items are right now our spinner
- 25:06Speaker 2: rings and our information. We Yeah, we do have also
- 25:12Speaker 2: handwriting jewelry where people want to I made it a
- 25:14Speaker 2: beautiful pendant for someone who lost her mother and we
- 25:18Speaker 2: put her mother's handwriting on this pendent. It was actually
- 25:22Speaker 2: from her will and you know I had the honor
- 25:27Speaker 2: to engrave it on a pendant. So anything really that
- 25:29Speaker 2: has meaning, that's what we're really, you know, touching on
- 25:32Speaker 2: because we want to make this process a little bit
- 25:35Speaker 2: easier and you know, so definitely you could see our
- 25:39Speaker 2: spinner rings and our bengals online. Also at the website,
- 25:42Speaker 2: the Honest Jewelershop dot com. We are always running, you know,
- 25:47Speaker 2: different promos and for twenty twenty six, we definitely are.
- 25:52Speaker 2: We do a lot of on site engravings as well,
- 25:56Speaker 2: where we come to the event, whether it would be
- 25:59Speaker 2: you know, a birthday, a corporate event, any holiday party,
- 26:03Speaker 2: and we engrave on site, so just meaningful pieces, keepsake gifts.
- 26:09Speaker 2: The people really love it. It's like so beautiful and
- 26:13Speaker 2: I love doing that. And I get to also meet
- 26:15Speaker 2: meet my followers, meet people and they're like, reach, oh
- 26:18Speaker 2: my gosh, and it's so nice to put faces to
- 26:20Speaker 2: people who I've met, you know, through this journey of
- 26:22Speaker 2: my business. So you know, we are going to be
- 26:25Speaker 2: doing a lot more on site events and we have
- 26:28Speaker 2: a lot more different designs coming up. With our spinner rings.
- 26:32Speaker 2: We had just launched. It's going to be coming out
- 26:36Speaker 2: twenty twenty six, but we are taking pre orders of
- 26:39Speaker 2: the Naomi spinner Ring, which is dedicated to my daughter.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Her name is Naomi as diamonds on the side of
- 26:47Speaker 2: each edge it spins, but it has these beautiful diamonds
- 26:50Speaker 2: because diamonds are formed under pressure. You're going through tremendous
- 26:56Speaker 2: amount of pressure, but you're going to be You're a
- 26:59Speaker 2: diya and that's the only way diamonds are formed, and
- 27:02Speaker 2: you're going to see You're going to be this amazing unique,
- 27:07Speaker 2: special girl on this journey and it's creating her and
- 27:11Speaker 2: it's really she's really being I mean, she changed in
- 27:15Speaker 2: so many ways. And I dedicated this ring. It's called
- 27:17Speaker 2: the Naomi Spinner Ring. So that's coming out in twenty
- 27:20Speaker 2: twenty six, along with other beautiful cutout designs with black,
- 27:25Speaker 2: like different type of enamel spinner rings, so a lot
- 27:28Speaker 2: more like colors. And I'm just really excited a lot
- 27:32Speaker 2: more sayings, Yeah, I'm really excited to be on this
- 27:35Speaker 2: path and journey and just empowering people around and just
- 27:43Speaker 2: having a lot of soul, you know in my jewelry,
- 27:46Speaker 2: Like when I sit there engraving yesterday, I was engraving
- 27:50Speaker 2: sixteen or fifty five bracelets for this orphanage and had
- 27:56Speaker 2: a special quote on there, and it was just something
- 27:59Speaker 2: that was It's like there's an engraver, but then there's
- 28:02Speaker 2: an engraver who when they engrave, they engrave with soul.
- 28:06Speaker 2: I'm literally packaging it and I'm like, let this girl
- 28:10Speaker 2: when she puts this on, to let her know that
- 28:13Speaker 2: the world because it said the world was created for me.
- 28:15Speaker 2: That was the quote to feel in her heart. And
- 28:19Speaker 2: she's in an orphanage, who are the one that's gifting
- 28:22Speaker 2: these sixty fifty five girls in this orphanage. I want
- 28:25Speaker 2: her to feel I want her to feel my soul.
- 28:27Speaker 2: And I wanted to wear this as a reminder when
- 28:29Speaker 2: she looks at her bracelet to know that the world
- 28:32Speaker 2: was created for her. And I kind of say, like
- 28:34Speaker 2: this little prayer when I package, it's coming from a
- 28:37Speaker 2: real person, a woman that has lived through things, and
- 28:43Speaker 2: I'm just like, I'm happy to have that inside my packages.
- 28:46Speaker 2: You know, like there's an feeling behind that person, and
- 28:49Speaker 2: it's not like there's like a real woman behind the
- 28:51Speaker 2: scene packaging the stuff and it's it's yeah, it's just
- 28:56Speaker 2: a lot of like jewelry with soul. So I'm really excited.
- 29:00Speaker 1: I love that, Rachel. So for our audience who's tuning in,
