  matched before anything. But to say they mesh is just is

  just a vast understatement. I was so blown away by the whole

  team effort and that was a sight to see.

  Even with the delay. Just the focus not only was just

  with the weather delay, but just with all the noise in the

  offseason and I was just so impressed by their approach to

  the game. I think Kippen came in and said

  that they he walked in the locker room and he saw Levitt

  watching film. They were locked in.

  Yeah. And a lot of that has to do with

  he like he said, he's coached in that locker room across the way

  many times and that visitors locker room sucks.

  So he left it in that he left him in there for the 90 minutes,

  you know, yeah, 644 total yards of offense, a record setting

  program record of 38 first downs.

  But my biggest take away is we can run the ball again. 3. 109

  But last couple years even like throughout the Brian Kelly area

  and out era and I was always a support of his, but they really

  struggled running the football during his time here.

  Even like and I always said like brought like Jane Daniels masked

  a lot of that stuff his first couple years with his mobility.

  But you saw it so glaringly in the in 24 and 25.

  They just we just could not run the ball for anything.

  It's just like it'll be, it'll be an exciting thing.

  We ran for four yards on the play and it was just so

  inconsistent. It was just mad.

  It was very alarming and it obviously showed in an ugly way.

  era, you know, I was always supportive of his.

  But they really struggled heavily running the football and

  Jane Daniels masked a lot of their deficiencies on the

  ground. But you saw once Jane left the
• 4:30
  last two years of this, it was especially last year even more
• 4:33
  so just it was it was a tough watch and like just we could not
• 4:37
  keep defenses honest. We couldn't keep them off
• 4:40
  balance, you know, just and it put a lot of pressure on the
• 4:43
  passing game. But you know, even though I like
• 4:46
  passing the ball, you got to have some, you got to have some
• 4:48
  balance. Yeah, I think I looked it up.

  Here we go. The team rushing yards from last
• 4:55
  year we averaged 104 yards per game and total yardage was 1300

  in 80 something total for the year.

  And I saw a graphic somewhere that we had more rushing yards
• 5:14
  in that game against Clemson, then Alabama game, Texas A&M
• 5:19
  game, Oklahoma game, and another game combined.

  No, not. Good, No, I'm glad Kiffin has

  brought us back to keeping people honest because just like
• 5:30
  we had a hundred 309 yards rushing, we had 335 yards
• 5:35
  passing. Yeah.

  And that that's the blend that you want to see.

  That's that's an ideal thing for any offense, regardless of what
• 5:43
  the competition is. You want to have that blend.

  You know, obviously you could favor 11 aspect of the game over

  another, which I have a problem with, but you got to have some

  type of threat on either side. And I'm glad we have that threat

  to seemingly have that threat moving forward.

  Yeah, and look, defensively, I mean, we ain't even got to talk

  about that. If we were going back with the

  powerhouse awards like we did for baseball, the whole defense

  would be on the list for #1 except the third team guys that

  let Clemson score. But look, Clemson had just eight
• 6:15
  first downs, went one for 13 on 3rd downs and punted the ball 10

  times and only managed 40 rushing yards.

  Think they had like 100, was 145 total yards and like 70 of them

  came on the last drive and two minutes left in the game.

  I think at one point they had not crossed the 50 on their own,

  but you know. Fall from grace?

  Really. We could go on for 20 solid

  minutes on how amazing LSU was. Yeah.

  But there were some things that need to be cleaned up.

  One of those being as amazing as Sam Levitt was, he needs to calm

  down a bit. Maybe it was the nerves that got
• 6:53
  him, but he played a little sloppy to start off.

  I'm not going to judge him on this one game, but you know, it

  was a little sloppy to start off with.

  Past game wasn't where we needed to be.

  I mean, you got trade as Green, who's 67 and you're throwing him

  at the numbers. Put it up there in the air, let

  him grab it out the air. He's taller than any towers over

  anybody else. Yeah, that's right.

  You know, but you know, look, there's only that's the only

  real thing other than the special teams where we had a

  couple guys breakthrough that hole on the kickoff.

  You know, whoever #40 is broke through.

  He was the one standing right in front of him.

  You could tell it wasn't a weeks no more because he broke down in

  front of him and the kid just ran right by him.

  thing for me is LSU won the line of scrimmage.

  the defense held firm, you know, just like they just didn't get

  out of sorts. Office didn't get out of sorts.

  And I'm just like, really, I'm just really impressed by the

  mental state of this team coming into this season because like I

  said earlier, just with all the distraction, it's it's so easy

  to like really get by wrapped up in that stuff.

  Now to Mitch, you have a layoff, a multiple hour layoff with the

  weather. So but just for them to stay

  locked in, I just, I just can't commend them enough.

  Yeah, and look, that weather delay was us getting punished

  for the baseball team sucking as bad as they did last year.

  So they couldn't get a rain delay in a regional, a super

  regional. That really bound No, but you

  I was the two guys with over 100 plus off like passing offense

  was good, but it's passing offense was not really sharp.

  You can see what the interception when I when I was

  looking at real time, I thought receiver had dropped the ball

  and just fell into the defensive backs hands.

  But when I look back at it, just level was kind of behind.

  opportunities off scoring. So you can have more like just

  more chances to really nitpick. But I, like I said overall, you

  know, it's hard to really nitpick too much in a 41 point

  victory at home. Yeah, you know, Levitt was

  electric, but he wasn't perfect. Yeah, of course.

  You know, he was 1628 for passing.

  He had 230 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception.

  Then like we said earlier, 113 rushing yards and two rushing

  touchdowns. So out of that 644, he got it

  almost. He got more than half of that.

  He got a 343 total yards and three touchdowns.

  Yeah, not terrible. I'm not going to knock him for

  that first interception because you know, the nerves the first

  biggest takeaways #1 the rushing attack was amazing.

  I mean, he ran all over Clemson. You know, it was with the last

  couple years we spent watching like guys like Jaylen Mill Row

  and all of them where we had them tackled in the backfield

  and they slipped out. And that's what Sam Levitt did

  to Clemson the other night. On Saturday night, Winston

  Watkins looks like he's ready to become a major weapon.

  You know then, my biggest take away this defense is for real.

  Lights out man, just like fast physical swarming to the ball.

  Yeah, Unblockable. Yeah.

  I mean, look, I don't care if Clemson ends up being dog water

  this year, but do we only held him to 145 yards, 145 yards.

  That's hard to do even for a, you know, let me let's see, you

  know, you can't pull up Michigan versus Western Michigan.

  But to prove, but to prove my point, I could pull up this

  game. OK, As a comparison, Texas

  played Texas State, beat them 59 to 7 and gave up 349 yards.

  You know, So that should tell you something about this defense

  the most impressive week one win of anybody.

  Yeah, so we didn't beat a ranked team by just like there's still

  I profile school and like with all like the top now, a lot of

  the top ten, they dominated for the most part and kudos to them

  supposed to do that. But a lot of their opponents

  aren't Clemson. So that's why I give us the

  answer. You can make it even last year.

  You can make the argument we made the argument that we had

  the most impressive win because we'd be the top five team on the

  road and we lost about the slugfest that it was.

  But you know, you can say the same thing this year even more.

  I'm more confident saying that this year that was given the

  situation. But we thoroughly dismantle

  Clemson, right? You know, to the point where

  shouldn't have to go to class. They should be given a week off
