- 0:00Speaker 1: Ed Football at four is powered by the Inside of
- 0:02Speaker 1: the Birds podcast. It it's brought to you by the
- 0:04Speaker 1: Fanatic Sports Book at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City,
- 0:08Speaker 1: and of course we'll be back there on Monday, the
- 0:10Speaker 1: Eagles will have played the Detroit Lions. It is a
- 0:14Speaker 1: Sunday night football matchup that you can hear right here
- 0:17Speaker 1: on ninety seven to three ESPN. Andrew de Cheko is
- 0:21Speaker 1: in the house for today's Football at four and of
- 0:24Speaker 1: course the Eagles getting ready for a very tough Lions
- 0:27Speaker 1: match up here. This matchup, I've been talking a lot
- 0:30Speaker 1: about it this week. I want to get Andrew's take
- 0:32Speaker 1: on that. Obviously a lot happening with this team. We
- 0:35Speaker 1: did hear from AJ Brown throughout the day. He spoke
- 0:38Speaker 1: last night and yeah, you know, you feel for the
- 0:41Speaker 1: guy a little bit here. He just wants this offense
- 0:44Speaker 1: to hold up its end of the bargain. And I
- 0:46Speaker 1: want to get Andrew's take on why the offense isn't
- 0:49Speaker 1: holding up their end of the bargain first before we
- 0:52Speaker 1: get to all that stuff. Andrew, you watch this team
- 0:55Speaker 1: and it's perplexing at times. How does a team with
- 0:57Speaker 1: AJ Brown and Devonte Smith and Saquon bark and Jalen Hurts,
- 1:01Speaker 1: and this offensive line, which is obviously very good, it's
- 1:04Speaker 1: not as good as it has been. But how does
- 1:07Speaker 1: an offense with all this talent struggle the way we
- 1:10Speaker 1: saw them struggle on not only Monday Night, but throughout
- 1:15Speaker 1: the season. They have so many lulls. So I can
- 1:18Speaker 1: kind of feel what aj Brown's saying there, that they're
- 1:21Speaker 1: not holding up their end of the bargain and he
- 1:23Speaker 1: knows it.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I know that the consensus would like to
- 1:27Speaker 2: point the fingers solely at Kevin Pittullo, But the reality
- 1:30Speaker 2: of the situation, Mike, is that it's a multitude of
- 1:32Speaker 2: reasons why the offense hasn't performed a standard. You can
- 1:35Speaker 2: look at the offensive line. They haven't been healthy for
- 1:39Speaker 2: the better part of the season. And when you're foundationally
- 1:41Speaker 2: built to run the football and you can't do that,
- 1:44Speaker 2: you're not able to tap into that area of your game.
- 1:47Speaker 2: And if you're not throwing the football effectively all of
- 1:49Speaker 2: a sudden, that further compounds things. And I would also
- 1:52Speaker 2: look at the play calling, the sequencing, the route concepts,
- 1:55Speaker 2: and yes, Jalen Hurts at times has not been the
- 1:59Speaker 2: player who they need to be, who he has been
- 2:01Speaker 2: at points of his career, at most of his career.
- 2:04Speaker 2: There's plays to be made out there. And I think
- 2:06Speaker 2: when you hear a lot of players Jalen hurts himself
- 2:09Speaker 2: chuck it up as execution as to why they're not
- 2:12Speaker 2: fulfilling and meeting and playing to their standards. I think
- 2:16Speaker 2: that also has a lot to do with it. So
- 2:18Speaker 2: I look at it in the sense of last season,
- 2:20Speaker 2: the passing game look largely similar to what we're seeing
- 2:23Speaker 2: right now. The difference is Sae Kwon Barkway in that
- 2:26Speaker 2: rushing attack was able to take over games and dictate
- 2:29Speaker 2: how defense has played them, and now they don't have
- 2:31Speaker 2: that to this point to hang their hat on.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know, obviously you look at the run game,
- 2:37Speaker 1: it's not the same. What about the passing game though, Okay,
- 2:40Speaker 1: the run game they're stifling a little bit. They're getting
- 2:43Speaker 1: to say, Kuan, he's not getting the same leanes maybe
- 2:46Speaker 1: the offensive line. What is the passing game? Is there more? There?
- 2:50Speaker 1: Is there more that should be there When you see
- 2:53Speaker 1: this passing game kind of emerge and evolve week to week.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Well, there certainly should be when you have that kind
- 2:59Speaker 2: of firepower and star power on that side of the ball.
- 3:04Speaker 2: But again, I go back to something that I think
- 3:07Speaker 2: is kind of overlooked here. This is the way that
- 3:09Speaker 2: Nick Sirianni wants to play football from an offensive standpoint.
- 3:13Speaker 2: They're conservative, they play they prioritize ball security more than
- 3:18Speaker 2: any team out there, and it's hard to argue with
- 3:20Speaker 2: the results. Right, they've won at a remarkable clip since
- 3:24Speaker 2: the bye week of last season. But where I agree
- 3:27Speaker 2: with Aj is that he's trying to get out in
- 3:29Speaker 2: front of things here and a lot of this stuff
- 3:33Speaker 2: is getting swept under rug and he's trying to put
- 3:35Speaker 2: a spot right on it so that when you get
- 3:37Speaker 2: in those high leverage moments, those critical situations, you're able
- 3:41Speaker 2: to kind of have that rectified. You're not blind to it.
- 3:45Speaker 2: It's not a blind spot. And so philosophically, this is
- 3:49Speaker 2: what the Eagles want to be offensively, and that's the
- 3:51Speaker 2: way that it's going to be, that conservative, risk averse
- 3:54Speaker 2: style under Nick Sirianni and jaywhen hurts, that's the way
- 3:57Speaker 2: that they that's what he believes in with conviction, and
- 4:00Speaker 2: it's hard to argue the results. Now, I think you
- 4:03Speaker 2: can certainly strike that balance, and in the game against
- 4:05Speaker 2: the Detroit Lions, they're gonna have to get more aggressive
- 4:09Speaker 2: and put up points because the Lions are averaging my
- 4:11Speaker 2: thirty one point four points a game and Jared Goff
- 4:15Speaker 2: is second in the NFL with twenty touchdown throws, So
- 4:17Speaker 2: they're gonna move the football. And now the Eagles have
- 4:19Speaker 2: to be able to tap into another and another facet
- 4:23Speaker 2: of their offense and really become a little bit more aggressive.
- 4:26Speaker 1: In my estimission, Andrew to check out football at four
- 4:29Speaker 1: for the Inside of the Birds podcast Inside the Birds
- 4:31Speaker 1: dot Com and Aj stood at his locker last night
- 4:33Speaker 1: for about ten minutes. He says, I don't care if
- 4:35Speaker 1: I'm misunderstood. I'll stand up here and I'll fall on
- 4:38Speaker 1: the sort if I have to. Do you see a
- 4:41Speaker 1: guy who's like troubled by it, Like, do you feel
- 4:43Speaker 1: for the guy as he's standing there and he seems
- 4:46Speaker 1: like he's like, you know, it's almost pains him that
- 4:49Speaker 1: this offense is going through what it's going through.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you'd be. It's hard not to. And
- 4:55Speaker 2: he's trying to, you know, if he's willing to have
- 4:57Speaker 2: to be the quote unquote bad guy, he's willing to
- 4:59Speaker 2: do if it's for the greater good of the football team.
- 5:02Speaker 2: And I think he is largely misunderstood. He doesn't care
- 5:04Speaker 2: that he's misunderstood, but there's this sentiment out there that
- 5:08Speaker 2: he's infatuated with stats and wants to get his at
- 5:11Speaker 2: the expense of the team. That's not the case at all.
- 5:14Speaker 2: He prioritizes winning just as much as everybody else in
- 5:17Speaker 2: that locker room. But he also knows Mike the impact
- 5:20Speaker 2: they can have on a football game. On a given play,
- 5:22Speaker 2: he can alter momentum. He works hard for those moments.
- 5:25Speaker 2: He wants that pressure. He wants the football, and good
- 5:28Speaker 2: things happen when AJ Brown gets the football. And when
- 5:30Speaker 2: you're laboring your way down the field and you're someone
- 5:34Speaker 2: like AJ Brown, you know the impact that you can
- 5:37Speaker 2: have on a game and you're not getting the football naturally,
- 5:40Speaker 2: that's going to conjure frustration. Do I always agree with
- 5:43Speaker 2: how he delivers his messaging. Of course not, but it's
- 5:47Speaker 2: well taken. He's right, and they need to be able
- 5:50Speaker 2: to They should be listening to Aj and trying to
- 5:55Speaker 2: and trying to rectify this offense. It's far too talented
- 5:58Speaker 2: for it to be the product that we're seeing on
- 6:00Speaker 2: a weekend, week out basis.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and I agree. You know, I don't think he
- 6:04Speaker 1: said much wrong this time around. I think he just saying, hey, look,
- 6:06Speaker 1: we're not holding up our end of the bargain. We
- 6:08Speaker 1: can't expect the defense to win all these games. First,
- 6:11Speaker 1: we've got to be better. He was very similar last year,
- 6:14Speaker 1: where what's wrong passing game? And then we saw the
- 6:17Speaker 1: passing game kind of get into gear. Hopefully this is
- 6:19Speaker 1: what kickstarts this offense. But this is a offense they're
- 6:23Speaker 1: going to face in the Detroit Lions that is a
- 6:25Speaker 1: different animal, right, They've got you know, one of the
- 6:27Speaker 1: things with Detroit that I like, Andrew is the cohesion
- 6:30Speaker 1: they have. You got Jared Goff, They've got aman Ross,
- 6:33Speaker 1: Saint Brown, They've got Jamison Williams. Their offensive they've been together.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Now they do have a new play caller, and now
- 6:39Speaker 1: Dan Campbell has taken over the play calling. But this
- 6:42Speaker 1: is a very explosive offense. Should be an interesting matchup.
- 6:46Speaker 1: What did you like about the Philly defense against Green
- 6:50Speaker 1: Bay last week that you think will match up against
- 6:53Speaker 1: this Detroit high powered offense that scored forty four last week?
- 6:57Speaker 2: Well, they were extremely physical, and I think from pass
- 7:00Speaker 2: rushing standpoint, things started to click. And I don't think
- 7:03Speaker 2: that was any mistake. When you add someone like Jaylen
- 7:06Speaker 2: Phillips to the mix, when you get back No. One
- 7:08Speaker 2: Smith from injury reserve, they play with toughness and physicality
- 7:12Speaker 2: to Kobe Dean attacking downhill and setting the tone there
- 7:15Speaker 2: and run support picked up his first stripsack of his career,
- 7:18Speaker 2: they're just playing. All three levels are complimenting each other,
- 7:22Speaker 2: and I think now what you're seeing is when they're
- 7:24Speaker 2: able to get home and Vic Dangier doesn't have to blitz.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I think they blitzed that nine point five percent, which
- 7:33Speaker 2: is extremely low considering what they've had to do this season.
- 7:36Speaker 2: When you're able to get home with traditional pressure, that
- 7:38Speaker 2: alleviates a lot of the burden from the back end.
- 7:41Speaker 2: And you didn't hear a Dori Jackson's name called all
- 7:44Speaker 2: that much, and I think that was a direct byproduct
- 7:47Speaker 2: of what a pass rush can do and how it
- 7:50Speaker 2: can help all three levels. And you also saw Jalen
- 7:53Speaker 2: Carter and Moro Jomo get involved a little bit more
- 7:56Speaker 2: than they have and when you have other players, you
- 7:58Speaker 2: have to account for that. Opens things for everybody, and
- 8:01Speaker 2: all of a sudden, that cornerback two spot that was
- 8:03Speaker 2: often discussed this season, and rightfully so, isn't as much
- 8:07Speaker 2: under the microscope as it has been.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You look at the impact Andrew to Checko's with us
- 8:12Speaker 1: here a little football at four. The impact of Jalen Phillips.
- 8:15Speaker 1: What did you notice right off the bat? That he added.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Physicality in the run game. And that's something that I
- 8:22Speaker 2: sort of mentioned when they acquired him. He's a two
- 8:24Speaker 2: way player. He can affect a run and he can
- 8:27Speaker 2: certainly get after the passer, but brings a lot of energy,
- 8:31Speaker 2: set the edge with authority. Played fifty three snaps in
- 8:34Speaker 2: that game like that was seventy eight percent of the
- 8:36Speaker 2: Eagles defensive total that game. And he just plays with
- 8:40Speaker 2: his hair on fire and he flows to the football
- 8:42Speaker 2: with urgency and that he kind of fit in seamlessly
- 8:45Speaker 2: with the players that they already have because that same
- 8:49Speaker 2: mindset is adopted across the board from everybody on that defense,
- 8:52Speaker 2: and it's something that they pride themselves on. And I
- 8:55Speaker 2: think he is really another when you look at that defense.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I mentioned to Kobe Dean, well, Jaylen Philip, this is
- 9:00Speaker 2: another one of those tone setters that teams are going
- 9:02Speaker 2: to have to reckon with.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Yeah, and obviously he was a big factor in the game,
- 9:06Speaker 1: got the game ball. After the game he adds something there.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I don't know about you, but did it add to
- 9:11Speaker 1: what Jalx Hunt brings to the table. And then you
- 9:13Speaker 1: saw sacks from Nolan Smith, who probably will see his
- 9:16Speaker 1: snap count go up a little bit.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Yeah, And I know we live in a world of
- 9:20Speaker 2: stats and sometimes everyone wants to look at sacks as
- 9:23Speaker 2: a metric and maybe equate that to how productive a
- 9:27Speaker 2: player is being. But honestly, I think Jalox Hunt's had
- 9:30Speaker 2: a solid season and now he's getting the stats to
- 9:33Speaker 2: start to reflect that. Saxon back to back games. He
- 9:36Speaker 2: flies around, brings a lot of jews. He's a solid
- 9:39Speaker 2: run defender as well, setting the edge with authority, and
- 9:42Speaker 2: now he's probably slotted into a role in which he's
- 9:46Speaker 2: probably more ideally suited as that third as rusher and
- 9:49Speaker 2: every player is now going to benefit from not having
- 9:53Speaker 2: to take on the lion's share of the snaps and
- 9:55Speaker 2: it's going to help for preservation purposes, but it's also
- 9:59Speaker 2: going to help the defense where you're able to send waves,
- 10:02Speaker 2: and they have players who can do different things. Brandon
- 10:04Speaker 2: Graham really good in run support. Jalen Phillips, he's rangy,
- 10:08Speaker 2: he has really long arms, and he's able to defeat
- 10:11Speaker 2: tackles with regularity. Jalox Hunt had a lot more energy
- 10:15Speaker 2: and you're able to see what he can do in
- 10:17Speaker 2: his role. And Nolan Smith eventually is going to continue
- 10:20Speaker 2: to see his snaps ramp up, I would imagine, and
- 10:23Speaker 2: he's their second best edge rusher. So now you're keeping
- 10:26Speaker 2: everybody fresh and they're all bringing something different to the table.
- 10:30Speaker 2: And I just wanted to highlight Jalox Hunt there because
- 10:32Speaker 2: I think there's a misconception out there that he hasn't
- 10:36Speaker 2: necessarily lived up to standards, because if you go back
- 10:39Speaker 2: and you watch the tape, there is a lot more
- 10:41Speaker 2: beyond the sack total that he's doing. And it's no
- 10:44Speaker 2: mistake that Vic Vangio has remained bullish on jay Loox
- 10:47Speaker 2: Hunt in his development.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and I want to get your take on this
- 10:51Speaker 1: matchup too, because I kind of look at this as
- 10:53Speaker 1: as a very interesting spot in the season. Andrew in
- 10:56Speaker 1: that couple of years ago, they're ten and one very
- 11:00Speaker 1: similar where they had a lot of big wins. You know,
- 11:02Speaker 1: they beat Kansas City on the road. They had beaten
- 11:04Speaker 1: Buffalo that year. You know, they won against Dallas, so
- 11:08Speaker 1: a good Dallas team. They had some big wins and
- 11:10Speaker 1: you're like, look, they're finding ways to win. They just
- 11:12Speaker 1: keep finding ways to win. And then they played San
- 11:15Speaker 1: Francisco and they got the doors beat off them, and
- 11:18Speaker 1: then the season fell apart. This feels like a moment
- 11:21Speaker 1: right here. This Lions team feels very similar to that
- 11:24Speaker 1: San fran team where they felt that they actually were
- 11:27Speaker 1: the better team last year. If those injuries didn't cripple them.
- 11:30Speaker 1: They wanted to open the season against Philly this year
- 11:33Speaker 1: to show them. So if the Lions come in here
- 11:36Speaker 1: and win this game, should we be concerned about the
- 11:40Speaker 1: big picture?
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah? And it always bugged me when you hear a
- 11:44Speaker 2: lot of folks after the game, whether it's on social
- 11:47Speaker 2: media or whatever or talk radio and they say, yeah,
- 11:51Speaker 2: but they're winning the game, so it shouldn't nothing to
- 11:53Speaker 2: see here. It doesn't matter. Well what aj Brown's trying
- 11:56Speaker 2: to get across, and I believe his points, Wellgan is
- 12:02Speaker 2: you can't win that way sustainably in the NFL. And
- 12:04Speaker 2: I understand The Eagles have a track record to support that,
- 12:07Speaker 2: and it's hard to argue against it. But as Jalen
- 12:10Speaker 2: Hurst will tell you, it doesn't get you until it
- 12:12Speaker 2: gets you, and he's trying to get out in front
- 12:14Speaker 2: of things before it burns them in an inopportunity spot
- 12:17Speaker 2: down the line. And so you look at this Lions game, Mike,
- 12:20Speaker 2: and you equated it to the twenty twenty three game
- 12:23Speaker 2: against the forty nine ers. I don't see it that
- 12:25Speaker 2: way because this defense is head and shoulders above that defense.
- 12:30Speaker 2: They are starting to hit their stride, so they're never
- 12:33Speaker 2: going to just allow a team to dictate what they
- 12:37Speaker 2: want to do. And they have the physicality and the
- 12:40Speaker 2: toughness they're not going to get shoved around. Offensively, you've
- 12:44Speaker 2: seen glimpses and spurts. They haven't been consistent. They haven't
- 12:47Speaker 2: played four quarters of Eagles football and played to that
- 12:51Speaker 2: standard that they set for themselves. But because they have
- 12:55Speaker 2: that kind of talent, especially on the defensive side, where
- 12:58Speaker 2: it was largely absent twenty twenty three, they're an older defense.
- 13:02Speaker 2: You're relying on players like Shaq Leonard, Nicholas Morrow, Bradley Roby,
- 13:08Speaker 2: and so it's nothing like that. It pales. This team
- 13:12Speaker 2: is head and shoulders above it. So I have a
- 13:14Speaker 2: better defense way, But it is a measuring stick game
- 13:17Speaker 2: for sure, and I kind of look at it like
- 13:19Speaker 2: the Baltimore Ravens game of last season where you look
- 13:22Speaker 2: back on it and that was the turning point where
- 13:25Speaker 2: they went into Baltimore where everyone was saying that the
- 13:29Speaker 2: Baltimore Ravens are a physical team, it's cold, or the
- 13:32Speaker 2: Eagles can be able to match their physicality. Well, the
- 13:34Speaker 2: Ravens had to match the Eagles physicality in that game,
- 13:37Speaker 2: and I think they used that as a launching pad
- 13:39Speaker 2: towards that backstretch of the season.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and I would just add that that defense, you're right,
- 13:45Speaker 1: was nowhere near as good as this defense. They had
- 13:47Speaker 1: coordinator changes. What I will say is you can't expect
- 13:51Speaker 1: the defense to give up seven points every single week
- 13:53Speaker 1: and win games. That's where I think Ajay is right.
- 13:56Speaker 1: The defense is given up seven, we can win ten
- 13:58Speaker 1: to seven, but a defense is up seventeen, it's a
- 14:02Speaker 1: stretch to think can we score twenty one right now?
- 14:04Speaker 1: That's what his messaging kind of is, and I think
- 14:07Speaker 1: that's fair to ask. You can't have especially Detroit, Dallas, Chicago.
- 14:12Speaker 1: They've got some good offenses the next three matchups that
- 14:15Speaker 1: they're facing here. What is something about the Detroit offense
- 14:18Speaker 1: that would worry you in this matchup?
- 14:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and by the way, I agree with you. You can't
- 14:23Speaker 2: expect the defense and special teams to keep picking up
- 14:26Speaker 2: the tab, especially when you look at the money that's
- 14:29Speaker 2: invested in this offense that's supposed to be high octane.
- 14:32Speaker 2: They have to be able to play continentary football and
- 14:35Speaker 2: alleviate some of that pressure because, as you mentioned, it's
- 14:38Speaker 2: not realistic or feasible for the defense to be able
- 14:42Speaker 2: to continuously hold teams to seven, ten, seventeen points that
- 14:46Speaker 2: eventually the offense has to answer the bell here. But
- 14:49Speaker 2: the Lions from an offensive standpoint have a lot of
- 14:52Speaker 2: players who I like David Montgomery and Jamier Gibbs, that
- 14:55Speaker 2: two headed rushing attack. Now, Jamiir Gibbs, he's one of
- 14:59Speaker 2: my favorite players to watch in the NFL. If you
- 15:00Speaker 2: remember before the draft, mic I actually was on with
- 15:03Speaker 2: you and I had him rated even higher than Vijon Robinson.
- 15:06Speaker 2: And remember that, I just think his ability to catch
- 15:10Speaker 2: the football thirty two catches, He's dynamic in space, so
- 15:13Speaker 2: tackling in the open field becomes even more paramount this game.
- 15:17Speaker 2: But they also have Laporta. Laporta has their tight end
- 15:20Speaker 2: forty nine targets this season, second on the Lions, and
- 15:24Speaker 2: he's that intermediary threat and safety valve for Jared Goff.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Jamison Williams is averaging seventeen points six yards per reception
- 15:32Speaker 2: and he's the X factor for me because if he
- 15:35Speaker 2: is able to capitalize on any kind of dysfunction in
- 15:38Speaker 2: the back end or miscommunication, he's proven that he can
- 15:41Speaker 2: get behind the secondary. Then you have a mom Ross
- 15:43Speaker 2: Saint Brown who thrives in short to intermediate levels of
- 15:47Speaker 2: the field, good short area quickness, tough to bring down
- 15:50Speaker 2: after the catch. So this is a team that has
- 15:52Speaker 2: a wealth of weapons and the Eagles are going to
- 15:56Speaker 2: have to really be on their a game and make
- 15:58Speaker 2: sure that they're not allowing any kind of lapses and
- 16:02Speaker 2: mental lapses or or not bringing down players in the
- 16:07Speaker 2: open field, which has been an issue earlier in the season.
- 16:10Speaker 2: But Jared got by the way twenty touchdowns passing on
- 16:13Speaker 2: the season that's second the NFL, and his passing yard
- 16:17Speaker 2: it's two and thirty five yards I believe is ninth
- 16:21Speaker 2: in the NFL. So they're going to be able to
- 16:23Speaker 2: put up points. The Eagles have to make sure that
- 16:25Speaker 2: they're answering the bill on their end offensively and trying
- 16:29Speaker 2: to keep pace.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Offensively. We've been talking about the struggles where can dent
- 16:35Speaker 1: Detroit defense? Where are they a little a little light.
- 16:39Speaker 2: At the corners. I think you look at Terry big.
- 16:42Speaker 1: For a right big week for AJ it.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Should be and I think that in the game like this,
- 16:47Speaker 2: Mike I behooves the Eagles to get their top passing
- 16:50Speaker 2: option involved early if you want to have a chance
- 16:52Speaker 2: to put up some points against this team. But I
- 16:54Speaker 2: look at Terry and Arnold their corner and he was
- 16:57Speaker 2: often compared to Quinnon Mitchell in that draft. I like
- 17:00Speaker 2: Quinna Mitchell for a number of reasons. I preferred him
- 17:04Speaker 2: over Arnold, but Arnold has some deficiencies in coverage. I
- 17:07Speaker 2: like Brian Branch, I like their safeties, but I think
- 17:09Speaker 2: if you look at the cornerback spot is where I
- 17:12Speaker 2: think that they're a little light. Linebacker Jack Campbell was
- 17:16Speaker 2: another player who a lot of folks laughed at when
- 17:18Speaker 2: the Lions took an off ball linebacker in the first round.
- 17:21Speaker 2: He's been a solid player. But this is a matchup
- 17:24Speaker 2: where I think the Eagles should be able to get
- 17:26Speaker 2: things going in the passing game. Now, my understanding, at
- 17:29Speaker 2: least on Thursday, is that the wind is going to
- 17:32Speaker 2: be a big factor, so you could you could conceivably
- 17:35Speaker 2: see a run heavy approach in this game. But I
- 17:38Speaker 2: think that if Eagles were to exploit the Lions in
- 17:40Speaker 2: any one area, it would be on the corners.
- 17:42Speaker 1: All right, there you go at look at the Lions
- 17:45Speaker 1: and the Eagles Sunday Night Football right here on ninety
- 17:47Speaker 1: seven to three ESPN. The pregame coverage starts at seven.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Merril Reees might quick on the call eight fifteen on
- 17:55Speaker 1: Sunday Night, Big one Eagles, Lions, Lions looking to us
- 17:58Speaker 1: show the world that hey, don't forget about us too.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Everybody seemed to be talking about Green Bay and everybody
- 18:05Speaker 1: else Seattle starting to get a little bit the rams.
- 18:08Speaker 1: But this Lions team is pretty darn good. We'll get
- 18:10Speaker 1: a look at him on Sunday Night Football. He's Andrew
- 18:12Speaker 1: to checko. This has been football at four.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Thanks man, Thanks Mike. Take care
