- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the Guardian Angel of talk radio is here. Curtis
- 0:05Speaker 1: Leewah guest host the Mark Simone Show on sevent ten.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Woor oh yeah, let's do it day two.
- 0:26Speaker 3: As I sit in for Mark Simon, I mean, this
- 0:30Speaker 3: is the guy who's smooth. Some of that song by
- 0:34Speaker 3: Shah Day nineteen eighty four. I remember hearing it in
- 0:38Speaker 3: London first time when I organized the Guardian Angels, their
- 0:41Speaker 3: smooth operator. Nobody's smoother in this business, this thing of ours,
- 0:48Speaker 3: this is the business we have chosen talk radio. Nobody's
- 0:53Speaker 3: done it longer than Mark Simone locally, but I'm sort
- 0:57Speaker 3: of the tagalog thirty five years and to be thirty
- 1:01Speaker 3: and now at the radio station where it all started
- 1:04Speaker 3: for me, not as a host but as a guest.
- 1:09Speaker 3: When I got the bug TV bug was rom Perum.
- 1:12Speaker 3: That was before WOR Radio seven ten, when I was
- 1:17Speaker 3: interviewed by Arlen Francis who had the midday show, when
- 1:22Speaker 3: I was the newspaper Boy of the Year having gotten
- 1:25Speaker 3: an award from Richard Nixon. And I remember the studios
- 1:29Speaker 3: they have fourteen forty Broadway. I think I'm not trying
- 1:34Speaker 3: to remember if rom Perum was actually on Channel nine
- 1:38Speaker 3: I think it was at the TV studios in Midtown Manhattan,
- 1:44Speaker 3: not far from where the ball is going to drop.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Welcoming in the new year and the change over from
- 1:51Speaker 3: the missing in action mayor the swaggerman with no plan
- 1:55Speaker 3: Eric Adams, who got wine dined in pocket lined over
- 1:59Speaker 3: the years. Thank god, he'll be gone. Has he gotten
- 2:02Speaker 3: back yet? Is he from his perpetual vacation, his travels
- 2:05Speaker 3: around the world at taxpayer's expension, sort of like Matt Lauer,
- 2:09Speaker 3: remember before he got the boot at NBC. Where's Matt
- 2:12Speaker 3: Lawa today? Where's Eric Adams today? On our dime? We're
- 2:17Speaker 3: paying for all that. We'll get into all of that.
- 2:21Speaker 3: And then also, uh oh boy. At the dysfunctional home
- 2:25Speaker 3: of WABC, the former house of always broadcasting critics Sliwa,
- 2:30Speaker 3: now always bashing critics Sliwa, one of their hosts just
- 2:37Speaker 3: he lost it yesterday. Greg Kelly, Oh my god, he
- 2:40Speaker 3: just went on and on. People were telling me on
- 2:42Speaker 3: the streets of Coney Island, listen to him, this guy,
- 2:45Speaker 3: he's having an episode. He certainly was. Wow And in fact,
- 2:54Speaker 3: he used words that I heard that hadn't been said
- 2:59Speaker 3: to me on the radio since back in nineteen ninety two,
- 3:07Speaker 3: I had on as a guest of Angels in the Morning,
- 3:10Speaker 3: where I was hosting with my wife at that time,
- 3:12Speaker 3: Lisa and al Lisa Evers at Channel five, guy named
- 3:16Speaker 3: Louis Kasman who was like the adopted son of John Gottisenia,
- 3:22Speaker 3: and he was coming on to defend John gottisin You,
- 3:24Speaker 3: who have been found guilty for the final time triple
- 3:29Speaker 3: life without parole because of the rat Sami de Bolgovano
- 3:32Speaker 3: and the memory X tapes of conversations they had had
- 3:35Speaker 3: over the Ravennight Social club in Italy where he was
- 3:41Speaker 3: ordering the executions of his fellow Gambino crime family members.
- 3:48Speaker 3: And Louis Kasman was on the air and he was
- 3:51Speaker 3: defending him, and it was a very heated discussion, and
- 3:56Speaker 3: I remember what Louis Kasmin said. He said, Curtis, you
- 4:02Speaker 3: better keep your mouth shut if you know what's good
- 4:05Speaker 3: for you. And soon after remember I got shot five
- 4:09Speaker 3: times with the hollow point bullets in the back of
- 4:11Speaker 3: that yellow cab on my way to WABC. We'll get
- 4:14Speaker 3: into that later on, you know what to missaid? Well,
- 4:18Speaker 3: yesterday the mow Green there at WABC. Yeah, Greg Kelly,
- 4:24Speaker 3: he's like Mo Green from the Godfather. You know, tough guy,
- 4:27Speaker 3: tough guy, except these Irish not Jewish. He said exactly
- 4:32Speaker 3: the same thing he announces on the microphone, and I
- 4:36Speaker 3: heard it for myself. Curtis, keep your mouth shut. If
- 4:41Speaker 3: you know what's good for you. What do you think
- 4:45Speaker 3: you mean by that? Is that that foe for Gazy
- 4:50Speaker 3: rage because he has anger management issues? Well, look, I'm
- 4:55Speaker 3: gonna get into it. We'll do the deep dive. A
- 5:00Speaker 3: dysfunctional former family at WABC tries to still haunt me
- 5:05Speaker 3: to this day even though I'm at the station. You
- 5:10Speaker 3: should all be listening to now War seven ten, the
- 5:12Speaker 3: absolute best with Larry Mente in the morning and then
- 5:16Speaker 3: obviously Mark Simon, my very dear friend in the afternoons
- 5:20Speaker 3: for many many years, Sean Hannity, the rock ribbed all
- 5:23Speaker 3: American conservative voice of reason from Franklin Square along Island
- 5:28Speaker 3: doesn't get any better. And the whole panoply of shows
- 5:33Speaker 3: that you get here as opposed to where he may
- 5:36Speaker 3: have been. But let's talk about what occurred yesterday. And
- 5:43Speaker 3: I want to give credit to Natalie the wr team
- 5:47Speaker 3: here producer in the morning, who also does the news
- 5:49Speaker 3: from time to time and She spoke to everybody here
- 5:54Speaker 3: at seven ten yesterday morning before my debut and talked
- 5:58Speaker 3: about how I am the Guardian Angels would be out
- 6:03Speaker 3: at Coney Island Stillwell Avenue to commemorate, memorialize the death
- 6:10Speaker 3: of the Debbie Kowom, also known as the Marina Kowam
- 6:15Speaker 3: from Little Falls, New Jersey. You say, who's that? Well,
- 6:20Speaker 3: a year ago the whole world knew, at least for
- 6:24Speaker 3: the first nine days when she could not be identified
- 6:27Speaker 3: because she was burnt so badly, turned into a human
- 6:32Speaker 3: torch by an enemy of society. It came to this
- 6:38Speaker 3: city with the royal red carpet rolled out for him
- 6:43Speaker 3: by Joe Biden, bioarchist Harris and yeah, oh yeah, at
- 6:47Speaker 3: that time the Biden of Brooklyn, Eric Adams, So we'll
- 6:49Speaker 3: be talking about him also later on today. The house
- 6:53Speaker 3: mouse said he was for twenty two years as a
- 6:55Speaker 3: cop in the NYPD. And it seems like in one
- 7:02Speaker 3: year's time the memory of the most heinous, horrific crime
- 7:09Speaker 3: in the New York City subway system, in fact, in
- 7:12Speaker 3: New York City's history, involving one victim, just wiped from
- 7:20Speaker 3: the memory cells. Credit though, to Natalie for bringing that
- 7:26Speaker 3: to the surface of what we would do. I'll get
- 7:28Speaker 3: into that momentarily. And also to the New York Posts.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Catherine don Levy, a reporter who had covered this horror
- 7:39Speaker 3: a year ago. They're now doing a video broadcast to
- 7:43Speaker 3: sort of remind people, because it just seems the rest
- 7:46Speaker 3: of the media and most people from them, it's out
- 7:50Speaker 3: of sight, out of mind. Part of that is due
- 7:54Speaker 3: to what the City of New York does not want
- 7:58Speaker 3: you to know about. All the crime in the subway.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Look at it, all the series of stabbings that have
- 8:03Speaker 3: occurred of late, all the homeless and emotionally disturbed. They're
- 8:07Speaker 3: still living in the system. I know. Coming here this morning,
- 8:12Speaker 3: I ran into so many of them, some who I
- 8:14Speaker 3: know personally. So we eulogized de Brina Kwam on the
- 8:21Speaker 3: anniversary that horrible death. We had the reth out. We
- 8:27Speaker 3: had pictures people were passing by a very crowded station
- 8:30Speaker 3: where the F train D train merges with the N
- 8:33Speaker 3: and Q. Nobody knew, and we said to say her name.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Nobody knew. And there are so many thousands of homeless
- 8:45Speaker 3: and emotionally disturbed out there. They won't be home for Christmas.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Their home is an unsafe shelter, a subway car, a
- 8:56Speaker 3: subway station, a platform, a park, or the streets, and
- 9:01Speaker 3: they all have a unique story. His DeBie Kwalms the
- 9:06Speaker 3: age of fifty seven, she had become homeless, destitute, and
- 9:11Speaker 3: clearly was emotionally disturbed when she was set on fire
- 9:15Speaker 3: on that f train on the morning of December twenty
- 9:18Speaker 3: second of last year, at seven point thirty. Where was
- 9:21Speaker 3: she from? Little Falls, New Jersey? Grew up in a
- 9:24Speaker 3: small white house. A father work assembly line at the
- 9:29Speaker 3: GM factory in Lynden, no longer operational, her mother at
- 9:34Speaker 3: a bakery store. She had her sister and brother. An
- 9:37Speaker 3: all American upbringing. She was a cheerleader, mispopularity at Passaic
- 9:41Speaker 3: Valley Regional High School, worked in Perkins, a pancake house
- 9:46Speaker 3: as a hostess, got so many of her friend's jobs there.
- 9:51Speaker 3: She was always the life of the party and as
- 9:55Speaker 3: so many of her former schoolmates said, she was a
- 9:58Speaker 3: bright light. Then unfortunately got dimmed like so many out there.
- 10:05Speaker 3: She went on to Montclair State College, which is right
- 10:08Speaker 3: there in Little Falls, got a job at Sharp Electric
- 10:12Speaker 3: and Malwa and then Mirk the pharmaceutical company, and from
- 10:17Speaker 3: time to time we go out with her girlfriends to
- 10:20Speaker 3: Vegas of the Caribbean and have a nice, nice holiday
- 10:25Speaker 3: like some of you are having now for Christmas and
- 10:28Speaker 3: New Years. And she meets a guy and you know
- 10:33Speaker 3: what happened. Something cracked. She began to fall into an
- 10:40Speaker 3: abyss last known to be working in Atlantic City. And then,
- 10:47Speaker 3: if you follow the timeline, getting arrested from time to
- 10:50Speaker 3: time all along the Jersey Shore for drunken and disorderly
- 10:55Speaker 3: conduct with no lifelines, she was falling into Dante's inferno.
- 11:05Speaker 3: And then she went back home. She was searching for
- 11:09Speaker 3: her mother. She pounded on that door. A woman answered
- 11:15Speaker 3: the door. She said, I want my mommy. I want
- 11:18Speaker 3: my mommy. I want my mommy. And the woman, who
- 11:21Speaker 3: had just recently bought the house from Dobrina's mother and father, said,
- 11:27Speaker 3: I don't know where they are. I have a realtor's card.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Maybe he can track them down. I want my mommy.
- 11:32Speaker 3: She's crying, she's disheveled. The woman goes and finds the card.
- 11:38Speaker 3: She returns to the door and the next thing she
- 11:40Speaker 3: knows to Brin and Kowama is running down the block screaming, mommy, mommy, crying.
- 11:47Speaker 3: She came home for Christmas, at least she thought. She
- 11:54Speaker 3: soon ended up over a Grand Central terminal. Almost outreach
- 11:59Speaker 3: unit brought her up to a woman's shelter in the
- 12:03Speaker 3: South Bronx. How crazy is that this woman was from
- 12:07Speaker 3: Little Fools, New Jersey. Soon they took everything from her.
- 12:13Speaker 3: She fled. Where to homeless people go when they flee
- 12:17Speaker 3: in the winter, they go into the subway, so that
- 12:19Speaker 3: becomes their home. And it was for many days until
- 12:24Speaker 3: this Monthster found her set her on fire. Was there
- 12:30Speaker 3: a commemoration, a memorialization yesterday at city Hall? No any
- 12:34Speaker 3: other fifty one city council members, No Jessica Tish the
- 12:40Speaker 3: police commissioner, no one police president, no MTA headquarters.
- 12:44Speaker 1: No.
- 12:44Speaker 3: They want that image white from our mindsets. It'll never
- 12:52Speaker 3: be white from my mindset. Imagine for so many of you,
- 12:59Speaker 3: how many of your grandchildren are coming home with your
- 13:02Speaker 3: parents or grandparents for Christmas and New Years, and they
- 13:07Speaker 3: want to see their mommy. Those are like her last
- 13:12Speaker 3: words that we know of mommy. Where's my mommy? And
- 13:20Speaker 3: yesterday Natalie brought this to your attention here wor the
- 13:27Speaker 3: New York Posts, Catherine don Leaving and the rest of
- 13:33Speaker 3: the world wanted to remain oblivious, not I in the
- 13:37Speaker 3: Guardian Angels. No, we want a memorial placed at that
- 13:42Speaker 3: very spot on the f train station to represent the
- 13:46Speaker 3: many thousands of homeless and emotionally disturbed some of them
- 13:50Speaker 3: buried in Pottersfield, you know where that is. A million
- 13:53Speaker 3: bodies are buried there, nameless, faceless individuals. They all had stories,
- 14:02Speaker 3: and at least I was able to tell Debbie Kwalms
- 14:07Speaker 3: say her name. No, they won't, but we will. We
- 14:14Speaker 3: will remember. We should always remember. Our number is eight
- 14:22Speaker 3: hundred three to two one zero seven ten. That's eight
- 14:25Speaker 3: hundred three to two one to zero seven ten. On
- 14:28Speaker 3: this your Place to be seven ten War.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Streets, Smart straight talk Curtis Leeward, guest host for Mark
- 14:38Speaker 1: Simone on sevent ten.
- 14:40Speaker 3: Woar back in the rain this morning on my way
- 14:50Speaker 3: here the studios my new favorite station, and it should
- 14:54Speaker 3: be yours wor seven ten gives you all you need.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I ran across those homeless and emotionally disturbed persons that
- 15:03Speaker 3: are everywhere, especially when it's in clement weather down in
- 15:07Speaker 3: the subways, and it sort of brought me to the
- 15:10Speaker 3: point of this problem wasn't dealt with with comrade Bill
- 15:14Speaker 3: de Blasio, the part time mayor, the dope from Park Slope,
- 15:18Speaker 3: smoking Mawi Wowie and Hindu Cush at night on the
- 15:20Speaker 3: back porch of Gracie Mansion with his grift of wife.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Charlane wasn't dealt with by this swaggerman with no plan,
- 15:28Speaker 3: Eric Adams, whose only contribution was tonight life in that
- 15:33Speaker 3: he would be at every club till the break of
- 15:35Speaker 3: dawn instead of being the mayor. And now at Fosters
- 15:40Speaker 3: are on Mandamie who gets sworn in on January first.
- 15:44Speaker 3: I don't think he'll have a grip on it, but
- 15:48Speaker 3: it's interesting. While I was thinking about that, I said
- 15:51Speaker 3: to myself, she whiz, Greg Kelly, former colleague over at WABC,
- 15:58Speaker 3: you talk about anger man manage many issues? Oh my god,
- 16:01Speaker 3: he he always has them, but we all carry some
- 16:04Speaker 3: baggage in our life. He went ballistic yesterday. He was
- 16:08Speaker 3: like Moe Green from the Godfather. Remember was the enforcer
- 16:12Speaker 3: for Buggsy Siegel of the Hymen Ross Syndicate Maya Lansky
- 16:21Speaker 3: and he's like going off and screaming about me and
- 16:26Speaker 3: just out of control, which half the time he is.
- 16:29Speaker 3: Look great. Guys served the United States submarine corps up
- 16:34Speaker 3: there and the fly zone in Iraq told so many
- 16:36Speaker 3: of our of the listeners that weapons of mass destruction
- 16:41Speaker 3: and all of that was a disaster. Okay, it got
- 16:46Speaker 3: like a lot of good attributes, great life, great family.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Had a problem a while back. We've all had problems.
- 16:54Speaker 3: I was lucky he had a His dad was the
- 16:57Speaker 3: police commissioner, Ray Kelly, best police commissioner we've ever had
- 17:01Speaker 3: in New York City, longest serving, and he was able
- 17:05Speaker 3: to extricate himself. Cleaned up, no more booze hound, no
- 17:09Speaker 3: more chasing skirts, you know, found God got back on track.
- 17:13Speaker 3: We've all had stories like that. But yesterday, Oh my god,
- 17:21Speaker 3: I think I've gotten under his skin. You know what
- 17:23Speaker 3: it was last week when I was being interviewed by
- 17:26Speaker 3: Mark Smohm preceding this substitution, I'll be here till January second,
- 17:33Speaker 3: I talked about how he was great for Greg Kelly
- 17:36Speaker 3: because Greg Kelly would actually sit in a side room
- 17:40Speaker 3: and listen to markimone from ten to twelve. That was
- 17:42Speaker 3: like his show prep. I said, it was the equivalent of,
- 17:47Speaker 3: oh remember, the greatest Italian comedian of all time grew
- 17:50Speaker 3: up in my household. Listening to those records, Pat Cooper, Pascual,
- 17:53Speaker 3: le Vito Caputo. Well, I met later on in life,
- 17:58Speaker 3: and he would tell me, yeah, watch, I'm gonna go
- 18:00Speaker 3: up there, I'm gonna do my routine and look at
- 18:02Speaker 3: all these other comedians. They're gonna be stealing my lines
- 18:05Speaker 3: and writing them on napkins. And it was true, some
- 18:08Speaker 3: of the best comedians. So I'm I'm I'm patting Mark
- 18:15Speaker 3: Simon on the bat. He's not the only person that
- 18:19Speaker 3: has had his materials utilized and recycled again by others.
- 18:24Speaker 3: He's that good. But apparently Greg Kelly took great umbrage
- 18:29Speaker 3: to that. It's like, well, it's a fact, so it
- 18:32Speaker 3: will help you do a better program. You listen to
- 18:35Speaker 3: Mark Simon and you go on your own program and
- 18:38Speaker 3: you basically repeat what he said like comedians often do.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Oh man, he just went eplectic. Hey, yesterday, he's saying police,
- 18:49Speaker 3: you know somebody I know, Well, I think he was
- 18:51Speaker 3: referring to his own dad. Ray Kelly, you know, never
- 18:54Speaker 3: thought highly of Curtis Lee and the Guardian Angels. No
- 18:57Speaker 3: police ever did. Hey, God, you know this is very
- 19:01Speaker 3: similar to Andrew evilized como. Remember in that debate. When
- 19:05Speaker 3: I turned to Andrew, evilized Como was Armandami on the
- 19:08Speaker 3: stage the first mayoral NBC debate, and I looked at
- 19:12Speaker 3: Andrew and I said, Andrew, I knew your father, Mario.
- 19:16Speaker 3: You know Mario Como. Hey, I know you're listening. Kelly,
- 19:24Speaker 3: you know you know Ray Kelly. Greg, I know your father,
- 19:28Speaker 3: Ray Kelly. Your father Ray Kelly. We've been at boxing
- 19:32Speaker 3: Mattress together because he was a Commissioner of boxing for
- 19:35Speaker 3: the State of New York. We've been to dinner together,
- 19:39Speaker 3: We've discussed public safety strategies on a wide level of things.
- 19:44Speaker 3: I've been at public events with him. He couldn't be
- 19:46Speaker 3: more of a fund well you, oh my god. And
- 19:53Speaker 3: what I what I couldn't quite understand is why at
- 19:58Speaker 3: the very end of his diatribe, which it's easy radio
- 20:03Speaker 3: to do if you're doing a full hour, Gotta understand,
- 20:06Speaker 3: Greg always had problems finishing his shifts. That's why they'd
- 20:09Speaker 3: asked me to stay in the bullpen warming up. They
- 20:12Speaker 3: jump in with him because he'd run out of gas
- 20:15Speaker 3: for whatever reason. I don't know, if his mind was wandering.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Whatever he said, tough time, you know, focusing, focusing, but
- 20:24Speaker 3: then he ends his diatribe and he says, Curtis, keep
- 20:31Speaker 3: your mouth shut, if you know what's good for you.
- 20:37Speaker 3: I said to myself the last time I was said
- 20:41Speaker 3: to me on air at that same WABC Angels in
- 20:46Speaker 3: the morning, when I was doing mom Talk, when John
- 20:49Speaker 3: Gotti's senior had been found guilty for the fourth time
- 20:53Speaker 3: while on trial because of Sammy the Bullgravano was underbores
- 20:57Speaker 3: riding him out the memory X tapes about his ordered executions.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Lewis Kasman, supposedly his adopted son from the garment industry
- 21:09Speaker 3: Jewish kid from Long Island, turned out to be a
- 21:11Speaker 3: rat himself eating the parmesan cheese. Later on he's on
- 21:16Speaker 3: that phone. I'll never forget his words, Curtis, keep your
- 21:21Speaker 3: mouth shut if you know what's good for you. Soon
- 21:27Speaker 3: after June nineteenth and nineteen ninety two, I got shot
- 21:32Speaker 3: five times with hollow point bullets in the back of
- 21:36Speaker 3: a yellow cab on my way to WABC to do
- 21:38Speaker 3: the morning show on the orders of John Gotti Senior
- 21:41Speaker 3: to John Gotti Junior and the Gambado crime family. Michael
- 21:45Speaker 3: Leonardi did twenty years for that, and I survived, and
- 21:53Speaker 3: I know look Greg Kelly. He's not the Gambino crime family.
- 21:57Speaker 3: But hey, don't be a forget tough guy. Real tough
- 22:03Speaker 3: guys don't have to act like they're tough. Trust me,
- 22:08Speaker 3: I'm a legitimate tough guy. We'll go to your calls
- 22:12Speaker 3: up next eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
- 22:16Speaker 3: at this your place to be from now on seven
- 22:20Speaker 3: ten War.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Talk Radio with Street Crab literally Curtis Lee wad joined
- 22:26Speaker 1: sevent ten WR to guess those from Mark Zamore.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Yeah, as I continue on till January, tewod here for
- 22:40Speaker 3: Mark Zimone. I appreciate the time at my newfound radio station,
- 22:45Speaker 3: but I've listened to over the years from time to time,
- 22:49Speaker 3: and now I listen to it all the time. I
- 22:51Speaker 3: associated you at seven to ten WOR a lot of
- 22:54Speaker 3: alumni WABC here that dysfunctional family. Is he our board
- 22:59Speaker 3: operator here? He fled the dysfunction, as did Crash in
- 23:02Speaker 3: the mornings with Larry MENTI as a real savant from
- 23:06Speaker 3: Morris Park, the Bronx, and I know to some of
- 23:12Speaker 3: you it sounds like Niccho Corleone. I'm settling all scores.
- 23:15Speaker 3: I am little by little by little by little, But
- 23:20Speaker 3: you have a right to know, and you have a
- 23:23Speaker 3: right to be heard. So let's go first to Sean,
- 23:27Speaker 3: who's patiently on the line from Rockland County. Your turn
- 23:31Speaker 3: to be heard here at seven to ten w A
- 23:33Speaker 3: watch on Welcome.
- 23:36Speaker 4: Home, Curtis.
- 23:37Speaker 5: And those are the clowns of the other station.
- 23:39Speaker 4: I don't listen to sit out anymore.
- 23:41Speaker 3: They just fake guy. See you got in here thirty
- 23:45Speaker 3: five years. You can tell got fake fake voice. I
- 23:48Speaker 3: know who that is. Come on, it is Curtis Sleeve
- 23:53Speaker 3: pro style. Here. Let's go to Bob, who's calling from MONTFL.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Your turn to be heard here at W or seven ten.
- 24:04Speaker 6: Bob, Thank you Curtis, and welcome back to what it's
- 24:08Speaker 6: no longer woman only radio.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Thank goodness.
- 24:12Speaker 6: And I just want to say thank you to you
- 24:14Speaker 6: and your wife because those of us who know your
- 24:18Speaker 6: history and we lived it, we saw through the other
- 24:21Speaker 6: people at the other station. You know Greg Kelly, obviously
- 24:25Speaker 6: he's got like an anger problem, too much estrogen. And
- 24:28Speaker 6: there's another guy talk about Rockland County dominic.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Carter.
- 24:32Speaker 6: I wish you would send the angels up to Rockland County. Curtis.
- 24:37Speaker 6: It is out of control. It is out of control,
- 24:40Speaker 6: and he lives with his head you know where. Wow, Well,
- 24:44Speaker 6: thank you, thank you, thank you. You know I live
- 24:46Speaker 6: in New Jersey. Thank you, Curtis.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but all I need you to do is just
- 24:51Speaker 3: continue to listen to here seven ten W or Bob.
- 24:56Speaker 3: You don't need to get ODDJDA to all of them. Hey, look,
- 25:03Speaker 3: in talk radio, you have a lot of eccentric characters.
- 25:05Speaker 3: I've certainly worked with them. I've certainly been called eccentric myself.
- 25:09Speaker 3: I've had my ups, my downs, but I think almost
- 25:13Speaker 3: all of them are well known to people. But sometimes
- 25:19Speaker 3: when you have an anger management issue, there are substances
- 25:25Speaker 3: out there that can keep that in check. Hey, look,
- 25:29Speaker 3: it's healthy, it's healthy. Let's go if we can to John,
- 25:34Speaker 3: who's calling from Staten Island. Your turn to be heard
- 25:37Speaker 3: here at seven ten W. John.
- 25:41Speaker 4: Hey, Curtis, I'm so happy to hear you back on
- 25:44Speaker 4: the radio. We've met a few times, so I'm so
- 25:49Speaker 4: happy to be talking here. WABC is definitely a dysfunctional
- 25:54Speaker 4: family dominic. Carter shows up to work grumpy every single day.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Lionel Square listen to the microphone. Sid Rosenberg only cares
- 26:03Speaker 4: about himself. Toys me, me, me, me, me, I am
- 26:05Speaker 4: Gray and Greg Kelly. He takes calls from the wack
- 26:10Speaker 4: o people who sent him books and they wrote down
- 26:14Speaker 4: a name to the wrong wrong people, Like, what kind
- 26:18Speaker 4: of operation do they got going on? Over?
- 26:20Speaker 3: He look John John, that's their thing.
- 26:25Speaker 4: Uh.
- 26:25Speaker 3: If you're not happy with their broadcast, now you have
- 26:28Speaker 3: a place to come to. Maybe I was the sheepherder
- 26:33Speaker 3: and you were sheep for many years and that's all
- 26:36Speaker 3: you listen to. Well, now you have an opportunity to
- 26:39Speaker 3: come on over and graves on this talk radio field.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Maybe my substuti for Mark Simon will encourage more people
- 26:47Speaker 3: to do that. I would suggest now that we're in
- 26:50Speaker 3: the age of social networking, text it out, email it out,
- 26:55Speaker 3: phone it out, get the word out to listen to
- 27:00Speaker 3: that any longer and more choices, And this is my choice.
- 27:05Speaker 3: So I know for many of you who followed me
- 27:07Speaker 3: in talk radio for what it'll be thirty six years
- 27:10Speaker 3: in January, you're welcome on over, listen to seven to
- 27:14Speaker 3: ten wor as much as is humanly possible. And remember,
- 27:19Speaker 3: unlike years and years ago where it was live and local,
- 27:26Speaker 3: that's it. If you missed the broadcast, you couldn't recover it.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Remember the great Bob Grant, nobody better, King of Tark
- 27:33Speaker 3: Radio would do his opening monologue. You could never recapture that.
- 27:38Speaker 3: The whole Tri state area would stop to listen to
- 27:40Speaker 3: that opening monologue at three. Now, if you missed the program,
- 27:46Speaker 3: you can catch it on podcasts. See that's something that
- 27:50Speaker 3: never occurred before. Let's go if we can to uh Vic, Well,
- 27:57Speaker 3: I believe is calling from Pennsylvania. Your turn to be
- 28:01Speaker 3: heard here at seven to ten, w or Vic.
- 28:04Speaker 5: Great to hear you. Curtis, Curtis, I want to tell
- 28:07Speaker 5: you a quick story. You know, I used to listen
- 28:09Speaker 5: to Sid and if it wasn't for Bernie, he would
- 28:13Speaker 5: be nothing. But what a phone is the biggest phone?
- 28:17Speaker 3: He could be.
- 28:18Speaker 5: Well, they're all phonies there, but he seems to be
- 28:20Speaker 5: the biggest one. Talk about ego, you know what I mean.
- 28:24Speaker 5: And at one point I called up when they were
- 28:28Speaker 5: taking calls, he stopped taking calls to let him know
- 28:31Speaker 5: he had bad now Trump and guess what he said,
- 28:34Speaker 5: Oh that's not true. I never bad. No Trump a
- 28:37Speaker 5: big liar. But man, could you imagine being in a
- 28:40Speaker 5: foxhole with any of these guys? I can't imagine it.
- 28:44Speaker 3: No, no, no, I tell you, I tell you, I
- 28:46Speaker 3: tell you one thing straight up there. It was a
- 28:50Speaker 3: much better show when Bernard McGirk was with him because
- 28:52Speaker 3: it was king ying and the yang, because when it's
- 28:55Speaker 3: just said, it's I, I me me, it's all about said. Look.
- 28:58Speaker 3: I think he said this himself many times. He has
- 29:01Speaker 3: low self esteem. He's paranoid, neurotic. A lot of people
- 29:06Speaker 3: in talker adio that's the case. But Bernard was the
- 29:10Speaker 3: ying to his yang. Bernard was given an opportunity to
- 29:15Speaker 3: do a program at WABC what IMSS clearly was in
- 29:20Speaker 3: his latter years. Without Bernard McGirk, Imus could not function.
- 29:25Speaker 3: I was in the broadcast studio. I saw how Bernie
- 29:30Speaker 3: would feed him lines. Bernie read the books, wasn't Imus,
- 29:34Speaker 3: And towards the end of Imus's career it was so obvious,
- 29:38Speaker 3: But it was Bernard mcgirk's wish to have his own show.
- 29:41Speaker 7: You know.
- 29:42Speaker 3: Imus didn't want that. Oh no, oh no, the show
- 29:47Speaker 3: following Imus in the morning. Bernard McGirk said it should
- 29:52Speaker 3: be my opportunity and he was right after all those years,
- 29:56Speaker 3: and he said, if you can only bring sid Rosenberg
- 29:58Speaker 3: up from Florida. He had just been fired I think
- 30:01Speaker 3: for like the third or fourth time, not they're wrong
- 30:03Speaker 3: with that. That's how you know how long you've been
- 30:05Speaker 3: in talk radio, how many times you've been fired. But
- 30:08Speaker 3: he was not on the radio. Bernie said, I want
- 30:13Speaker 3: Sid to be with me. And I remember going down Hollywood,
- 30:17Speaker 3: Florida at the hard Rock We had a Guardian Angel
- 30:21Speaker 3: conference of the Floridian Guardian Angels, and I told the
- 30:27Speaker 3: general manager there I would go down and just do
- 30:30Speaker 3: a little background check on city. Had had some problems.
- 30:34Speaker 3: And I talked to a lot of people down there
- 30:35Speaker 3: and said, oh, no, no, no. His days of gallimantin
- 30:39Speaker 3: cavorting getting into trouble, which he's admitted is over. He's
- 30:43Speaker 3: on the straight and arrow. I came back, I gave
- 30:45Speaker 3: the report. I remember walking into the office of Chad Lopez.
- 30:48Speaker 3: He had on his desk a contract to hire Mike Lupeka,
- 30:54Speaker 3: the great sports writer for the Daily News but horrible
- 30:58Speaker 3: on the radio ESPN. You know it's not his medium.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I said, you can't do that, you can't sign that.
- 31:05Speaker 3: That'll destroy WABC. I said, come on, do this for
- 31:09Speaker 3: Bernard McGirk. He's never asked for anything other than that,
- 31:14Speaker 3: And that's what happened. They got that opportunity mid morning
- 31:20Speaker 3: and then eventually the Morning Show. And it's unfortunate that
- 31:23Speaker 3: Bernard McGirk is no longer with us because that was
- 31:27Speaker 3: the ying to Sid Yang, that was his wingman. Sid
- 31:33Speaker 3: was Bernard's wingman, and Bernard was certainly sid Rosenberg's wingman.
- 31:44Speaker 3: In Godfather reference. When you talk about Sid Rosenberg, think
- 31:48Speaker 3: of Tessio. Oh yeah, though, Beret is back.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Curtis Sleeva guest hosts The Mark Simone Show on seven ten.
- 31:58Speaker 3: Wal is Erek Adams swagger man with no plan? Is
- 32:06Speaker 3: he back yet from vacationing at our tax bears expense?
- 32:11Speaker 3: Where is Eric Adams this morning? As he plays out
- 32:15Speaker 3: the clock? It's interesting the Anti Defamation League has issued
- 32:20Speaker 3: a report on some of the people affiliated, which are
- 32:23Speaker 3: I'm Mandami the incoming mayor as having had relationships with
- 32:28Speaker 3: schooly Louis Farakhan in the Nation of Islam. Question is
- 32:32Speaker 3: should that eliminate you from consideration of having any place
- 32:39Speaker 3: in government period? Well, it should have eliminated Eric Adams
- 32:43Speaker 3: from ever becoming mayor of the City of New York.
- 32:45Speaker 3: I wonder you when I ran against him in twenty
- 32:47Speaker 3: twenty one, remember in those two debates, I said he
- 32:51Speaker 3: is crooked and there will be chaos, and oh boy,
- 32:55Speaker 3: was I right. But he won't go away quietly. He
- 32:59Speaker 3: just vacations at taxpayers expense. And now all of a
- 33:05Speaker 3: sudden he's the first to question people's credentials when in fact,
- 33:11Speaker 3: you couldn't have been any more supportive of Schooy Louis
- 33:15Speaker 3: Fara Khan back in the nineties and the early two
- 33:21Speaker 3: thousand period. Yeah yeah, I know, I know. So is
- 33:25Speaker 3: a good litmus test relationship to fra Khan. I think
- 33:28Speaker 3: every rapper would have to be excluded because look at
- 33:32Speaker 3: their Instagram and who's their ninety two year old Schooy
- 33:35Speaker 3: Louis Farrakhah and the worst anti Semite in America. Now
- 33:39Speaker 3: the Red.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Beret has returned to radio. Curtis Leewall guest host the
- 33:45Speaker 1: Mark Simone Show on seven ten Woo.
- 33:55Speaker 3: This is the place that you should be all the
- 33:59Speaker 3: time to get your talk radio information, news, and most importantly, entertainment,
- 34:05Speaker 3: because that's what talk radio should be. If it's good
- 34:08Speaker 3: talk radio, if it's not entertaining, hmm wow, see you later.
- 34:15Speaker 3: And that's those are your options. Nowadays you have so
- 34:18Speaker 3: many options to be able to listen, to look at
- 34:22Speaker 3: read many many more than when we were all growing up.
- 34:27Speaker 3: I remember in the wee hours of the morning, I
- 34:31Speaker 3: would be listening to a little Sony transistor radio underneath
- 34:35Speaker 3: the pillow in my room in Canarsi being raised by
- 34:39Speaker 3: my father, Chester merchant seaman close to fifty years my
- 34:42Speaker 3: mother Francesca, dental technician, and they would sort of patrol
- 34:47Speaker 3: the area. Wonder if I was listening, Remember the smell
- 34:51Speaker 3: from that Sony transistor radio. I'd be listening to long
- 34:54Speaker 3: John Nevilew and Candy Jones. Oh hey had me believing
- 35:01Speaker 3: that Candy Jones was a CIA agent. And you could
- 35:04Speaker 3: actually dig a hole all the way from Bayon, New Jersey,
- 35:08Speaker 3: the gateway to the world, down to Peeking Red China.
- 35:12Speaker 3: There Malchi tongue. They actually had your believe in that.
- 35:16Speaker 3: That's great. Theodore of the Mind. Now person I never
- 35:19Speaker 3: listened to, but was a fixture here wor for years.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Gene Shepherd. A lot of people said over the years, Wow,
- 35:27Speaker 3: you got a lot of Gene Shepherd in you. You
- 35:28Speaker 3: could take sort of a story and build a narrative
- 35:32Speaker 3: around it and sort of transition us almost in a
- 35:37Speaker 3: time machine to a date, place and time different than now.
- 35:43Speaker 3: And once I listened to a few of the old tapes. Boy,
- 35:46Speaker 3: that was a real great compliment, and that was overnight radio.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Good Overnight radio is theodre of the mind. Lousy overnight radio,
- 35:55Speaker 3: as if you try to do normal talk radio and
- 35:58Speaker 3: it colls flat. One of the things I remember talking
- 36:03Speaker 3: about when I did late night radio at the dysfunctional
- 36:08Speaker 3: station of WABC, which used to be always broadcasting Curtis.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Now it's always blaming and always batching Curtis. Well, I
- 36:17Speaker 3: remember when Scooey Louis Farrakhon came on with it couple
- 36:24Speaker 3: take a couple of nightline. I was talking about the
- 36:26Speaker 3: mothership connection that was circling the world and how many
- 36:31Speaker 3: little jet planes would be emerged and what we clearly understood,
- 36:39Speaker 3: and just listening to his diatribe. This guy, that's why
- 36:43Speaker 3: I call him Scooey Louis Furrikin. And yet he's had
- 36:46Speaker 3: his followers over the years, and now even though he
- 36:51Speaker 3: has somehow survived till ninety two. And you don't want
- 36:54Speaker 3: to miss it, I'm going to tell you a story
- 36:56Speaker 3: where the Grim Reaper could have took him away and
- 36:58Speaker 3: should have in a much earlier time, because, believe it
- 37:03Speaker 3: or not, even at the age of ninety two, the bile,
- 37:08Speaker 3: the anti Semitism continues to pour from his lips. You know,
- 37:14Speaker 3: he's the old school anti Semite. The new Jack, I
- 37:17Speaker 3: guess is Nazi boy. I think he fontes right, that's
- 37:20Speaker 3: the new Jack. But old school O G right, O
- 37:24Speaker 3: G fairy can. But it's now a litmus tests. And
- 37:28Speaker 3: I truly believe if you did a survey in the
- 37:31Speaker 3: African American community of the most respected black African American
- 37:36Speaker 3: figure in America today, first, without a doubt, at Barack
- 37:40Speaker 3: Obama talk about being a smooth operator, like the Shade
- 37:43Speaker 3: song smooth. In fact, if I think if he ran
- 37:46Speaker 3: against Donald Trump, he'd beat Donald Trump nationally, that's how
- 37:50Speaker 3: much love there is for Barack Obama. I mean he
- 37:54Speaker 3: was good. Uh, you know, would come out number two. No,
- 37:58Speaker 3: not not out slim, shady, sharping, No, it would be
- 38:04Speaker 3: Lewis Farakhun. Yes, the legacy of hate continues. It's almost
- 38:13Speaker 3: like a litmus test. I know for a lot of
- 38:16Speaker 3: you you don't follow the world of rap, but I
- 38:21Speaker 3: certainly have. And you look on the Instagram pages some
- 38:27Speaker 3: of the big time rappers, some of them have gone mainstream,
- 38:30Speaker 3: some of them who are doing cartoons, some of them
- 38:32Speaker 3: who are promoting Fortune five hundred products. Some of them
- 38:37Speaker 3: who have escaped going to jail themselves, like Snoop Doggie
- 38:40Speaker 3: Dog who did a drive by shooting in Los Angeles
- 38:44Speaker 3: and a jury all of a sudden said, seeming to
- 38:50Speaker 3: suffer a little dementia, little Alzheimer's. See, I can't quite
- 38:53Speaker 3: connect the dots. Well. He has gone on to become
- 38:57Speaker 3: a superstar in Hollywood, even though he does puff puff
- 39:00Speaker 3: pass all the time. I mean he's in a let's
- 39:03Speaker 3: face it a drug induce psychosis. This guy love Farra
- 39:08Speaker 3: Can still does right Instagram. There's Snoop Dogg with fire
- 39:11Speaker 3: Can Llo cool Jay right mainstream artist TV shows there
- 39:18Speaker 3: he is the Farra Khannas and she broke my heart
- 39:22Speaker 3: when I saw Chaka Khan Choka Choka Chokka Cohn performing
- 39:26Speaker 3: for Schooy Louis Farakhan. Oh, you go right on down
- 39:29Speaker 3: the line. Kendrick Lamar, was it ice q Iced t
- 39:33Speaker 3: Ice trave and l ice one of the Ice is there.
- 39:36Speaker 3: They're on Fat Joe. It's almost like an insistence. And
- 39:42Speaker 3: when you go to the Instagram site, you gotta be
- 39:44Speaker 3: a picture somewhere of the most virulent anti Semite that
- 39:50Speaker 3: is approaching one hundred years old. Soon they'll probably live
- 39:53Speaker 3: to them because of all the hate in the bile
- 39:55Speaker 3: that he has ninety two still kicking it. Oh you
- 39:59Speaker 3: know what I mean, the story of how the grim
- 40:02Speaker 3: Reaper could have taken him away, but unfortunately he survived
- 40:06Speaker 3: for another hateful day. Well, now the Anti Defamation League
- 40:10Speaker 3: they're vetting out people who have been appointed to incoming mayors.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Are on Mondami's transitional team. One of them is a
- 40:19Speaker 3: lawyer who has a history of praising and associating with
- 40:23Speaker 3: far Kain, and the question is should that exclude him
- 40:28Speaker 3: from consideration. I don't fault the ADL for vetting these appointees.
- 40:36Speaker 3: That's that's what transparency is. That's that's what should be
- 40:39Speaker 3: taking place, especially when we just went through the anniversary
- 40:46Speaker 3: of the Dreyfus affair. We're the French captain now for
- 40:50Speaker 3: Dreyfus is wrongfully convicted of passing military secrets to the Germans,
- 40:57Speaker 3: sentence to life imprisonment and Devil's Islands, and it turned
- 41:02Speaker 3: out it was the result of severe anti Semitism. Oh yeah,
- 41:10Speaker 3: oh yeah, and the term is Jacque's. In fact, I
- 41:17Speaker 3: think that pedophile on a pedestal. Roman Polanski did a
- 41:22Speaker 3: movie about this. I think so after he escaped to Paris.
- 41:27Speaker 3: In fact, little brief side the bar here, I was
- 41:32Speaker 3: named the Grand Marshall of the annual Pulaski Day parade
- 41:37Speaker 3: for Polish Americans. Up Fifth Avenue you go to the
- 41:40Speaker 3: mass verst at Tank Patrick's Cathedral. I'm coming out with
- 41:43Speaker 3: the tucks and tails and my red beret, and a
- 41:46Speaker 3: tourist bus pulls up from San Diego, where I've had
- 41:49Speaker 3: guardian angels down in Balboa Park gas light district over
- 41:54Speaker 3: in southeast San Diego, some relatively tough areas. People get
- 41:59Speaker 3: off to the bus. They're gonna go on to Saint
- 42:00Speaker 3: Patrick's Cathedral. They recognize me, they come running up, Curtis,
- 42:04Speaker 3: I didn't know that Polish Americans have a parade to
- 42:07Speaker 3: honor Roman Polanski. No, it's Pulaski. General Pulaski well not
- 42:15Speaker 3: only went into the Deep South and fought regular British
- 42:19Speaker 3: troops in the American Revolution, but they actually have this
- 42:23Speaker 3: huge tomb in statue to him in Savannah, Georgia. You
- 42:27Speaker 3: go throughout the South where I've been Arkansas, you go
- 42:31Speaker 3: to Georgia, you go to Tennessee. They have Pulaski County.
- 42:34Speaker 3: They don't even teach the kids in the schools why
- 42:37Speaker 3: the county was named after Pulaski. In fact, they unearthed
- 42:42Speaker 3: his tomb recently because they said he was a harmaphrodite.
- 42:47Speaker 3: You know what that is is he look it up?
- 42:49Speaker 3: Look it up, go google it. Why would you take
- 42:52Speaker 3: the guy's body out? He was one of the reasons
- 42:56Speaker 3: we won the American Revolution. As we approach our two
- 42:59Speaker 3: hundred and fifty, the anniversary this coming year, an onearthed
- 43:03Speaker 3: his body try to determine if he was a hamafrodite.
- 43:10Speaker 3: And then, of course it was Kaysjewsco, not Cassiasco, General
- 43:14Speaker 3: Kyjewsco who helped George Washington and convinced him that West
- 43:19Speaker 3: Point should become the college for not just the United
- 43:23Speaker 3: States military, but for engineering, against the will of Thomas Jefferson,
- 43:28Speaker 3: the fellow Virginian of George Washington, who wanted that to
- 43:31Speaker 3: be VMI. Yep, cause jewsto they don't teach you that
- 43:35Speaker 3: in school. But anyway, I mean there was people were
- 43:39Speaker 3: thinking getting off of that tour bus from San Diego
- 43:43Speaker 3: that that parade, the annual Pulaski Day parade, was not
- 43:46Speaker 3: an honor of General Pulaski, but in honor of Roman Polanski.
- 43:51Speaker 3: So the Dreyfish affair, which was based on the Protocols
- 43:56Speaker 3: of the Elders of Zion, which was merculated by the
- 44:01Speaker 3: Cizar of Russia and fed anti Semitism, which has been
- 44:05Speaker 3: a problem for so many decades and has re ad
- 44:09Speaker 3: it's ugly head up again as it always does. But
- 44:13Speaker 3: the one fixture of anti Semitism that has been around
- 44:17Speaker 3: forever and ever is Scooy Louis Farak. And so coming up,
- 44:23Speaker 3: gotta discuss a little bit about Eric Adams, swaggerman with
- 44:27Speaker 3: no plan, who's been traveling around the world at taxpayer's expense.
- 44:31Speaker 3: What was he in Israel? Uzbekistan? He probably can't even
- 44:33Speaker 3: find Whuzbeka stent on a map. Then recently in Mexico.
- 44:38Speaker 3: And we're paying for all this stuff, right, we're paying
- 44:40Speaker 3: for this. This guy was hopelessly corrupt, should have been
- 44:46Speaker 3: actually put in jail, put on trial for corruption. I
- 44:50Speaker 3: know all about it. And you remember, do you remember
- 44:56Speaker 3: is the piece in the monopoly game that we all
- 45:00Speaker 3: hope that we would get under the Christmas tree as
- 45:04Speaker 3: a president from santy Claus, remember missed the monopoly in
- 45:08Speaker 3: his tuxedo as he flies out of an open bird cage.
- 45:13Speaker 3: That was the corrupt Eric Adams at that annual Alsmith
- 45:18Speaker 3: didn't remember where. Trump suggested openly for the first time
- 45:22Speaker 3: that he was a victim of law fare, the over
- 45:27Speaker 3: extending reach of Joe Biden's Department of Justice, instead of
- 45:32Speaker 3: not realizing as anybody else would, that he got booted
- 45:38Speaker 3: out of a prison cell which he would have shared
- 45:41Speaker 3: with gold bars Bobby Menendez the center of New Jersey
- 45:45Speaker 3: in his striped convict uniform instead. And now he's acting
- 45:51Speaker 3: like he did nothing wrong. It's interesting. Three key figures
- 45:56Speaker 3: on the political scene. Eric with Discraciada never did anything wrong.
- 46:04Speaker 3: Andrew Evliskromo never did anything wrong. Donald Trump never did
- 46:07Speaker 3: anything well, they never did anything wrong. They're the perfect people.
- 46:10Speaker 3: Everything was perfect, perfect, except that's not the case. And
- 46:15Speaker 3: I was amazed that last week. I guess he took
- 46:18Speaker 3: a pit stop here, you know, and being mayor uh,
- 46:23Speaker 3: he decided to bury a time capsule to be dug
- 46:27Speaker 3: up in ten years, as if anything that went on
- 46:31Speaker 3: in his corrupt and chaotic administration which led to the
- 46:34Speaker 3: election of Zorhan Mandami should be put in a capsule
- 46:38Speaker 3: and buried and then brought up in ten years for
- 46:43Speaker 3: everybody to take a look at. And I would say
- 46:47Speaker 3: the first thing was probably a wad of cash in
- 46:50Speaker 3: a red envelope stuffed inside of an open bag of
- 46:54Speaker 3: hers sour cream and onion ripple potato chips. That his
- 46:59Speaker 3: very dear grifter and bag lady. Oh my god, Oh
- 47:07Speaker 3: she was so bad, this woman in attempting to bribe
- 47:13Speaker 3: Katie honan of the city. Oh man, it's like he's
- 47:20Speaker 3: trying to reinvent history. But his love affair with Fhara
- 47:24Speaker 3: Khan goes back quite a bit. In fact, in the
- 47:28Speaker 3: nineties he decided that he would run for Congress against
- 47:33Speaker 3: Major Owens because Major Owens, along with David Dinkins, the mayor,
- 47:37Speaker 3: said no, Fara Khan should not speak in New York
- 47:41Speaker 3: And at that time Eric Adams took money from the
- 47:45Speaker 3: Nation of Islam, had a Nation of Islam members collecting
- 47:49Speaker 3: signatures to qualify him to run, and was endorsed by
- 47:53Speaker 3: Schooie Louis fara Khan and used to hang out with
- 47:55Speaker 3: his very dear friend Conrad Muhammed at the Nation of
- 47:58Speaker 3: Islam Mosquin, Harlem. Now, people didn't want to talk about
- 48:05Speaker 3: that in the election of twenty twenty one. They basically
- 48:08Speaker 3: took the etcher sketch out And if you ever asked
- 48:13Speaker 3: Eric Adams about Scooy Louis Farakhan, he would sitestep that issue. Look,
- 48:18Speaker 3: he's not an anti Semite, Eric Adams, there's no doubt
- 48:21Speaker 3: about it. But he did have a major love affair
- 48:26Speaker 3: with Scooy Louis Farakhan. That's well noted. But people didn't
- 48:30Speaker 3: want to talk about it then. So the question is
- 48:34Speaker 3: any kind of relationship that you had or you have
- 48:37Speaker 3: with Skooy Louis Farakhana the Nation of Islam, should that
- 48:41Speaker 3: immediately disqualify you from having anything to do with the
- 48:44Speaker 3: government the boy A lot of people in government would
- 48:49Speaker 3: now have to recuse themselves and may have to look
- 48:52Speaker 3: for a different occupation. Our numbers one eight hundred and
- 48:57Speaker 3: three to two one zero seventy ten. That's one eight
- 49:01Speaker 3: hundred eighty three two one zero seven ten on this
- 49:04Speaker 3: your place to be from now on sevent ten WR.
- 49:09Speaker 1: The Pulse of New York on the Voice of New York,
- 49:14Speaker 1: Curtis Sleewald Guess host marks them on on seven ten WR.
- 49:24Speaker 3: I have a suggestion for the outgoing Eric Adams Swagerman
- 49:30Speaker 3: with no plan got wine dying the pocket line so
- 49:35Speaker 3: that Bob Barker remember the price is right. He got
- 49:37Speaker 3: his price and then he dropped out of the mayoral
- 49:39Speaker 3: race in September and he's been moaning and groaning ever
- 49:43Speaker 3: since and traveling around the world at taxpayer's expense. Apparently
- 49:48Speaker 3: he's meeting with Kathy Hockel today. Maybe Kathy Hochel can
- 49:54Speaker 3: do for him what was done for the one hundredth
- 49:59Speaker 3: Mayor of New York City a long time ago. I
- 50:03Speaker 3: think it was actually in nineteen fifty for William O'Dwyer.
- 50:11Speaker 3: He was the one hundredth Mayor of New York City
- 50:14Speaker 3: corrupt when he had been Brooklyn DA from nineteen forty
- 50:19Speaker 3: to nineteen forty five. He was in the back pocket
- 50:22Speaker 3: of murder incorporated the Jewish mob run by Lepke and
- 50:27Speaker 3: the Italian faction of Albert Anastasia and quick Kid Twist Drellers,
- 50:34Speaker 3: who was a hitman. If you looked at his LinkedIn
- 50:36Speaker 3: page at the time, let's there, what is your occupation?
- 50:39Speaker 3: Hitman for Murder Incorporated, which was out of Brownsville, and
- 50:44Speaker 3: he decided to be a rat eat the parmesan chief.
- 50:46Speaker 3: So they were housing him at the Half Moon Hotel
- 50:49Speaker 3: in Coney Island, sixth floor. Six detectives from William O'Dwyer's
- 50:54Speaker 3: DA's office in Brooklyn, and suddenly Albert Twistdrelers proved that
- 51:00Speaker 3: men could not fly because somehow he fell or was
- 51:05Speaker 3: pushed out of that sixth floor window. He had already
- 51:09Speaker 3: testified against six members of Murder Incorporated, all of whom
- 51:13Speaker 3: got the juice in the caboose in sing sing old
- 51:16Speaker 3: sparky Jews and Italians. And then the last one he
- 51:20Speaker 3: was going to testify against was Albert Anastasia. Well, he
- 51:24Speaker 3: never made it to the witness stand. And so this
- 51:28Speaker 3: all came back to haunt William O'Dwyer as mayor. They
- 51:32Speaker 3: were going to indict him, convict him, when all of
- 51:35Speaker 3: a sudden the phone rang from the White House. It
- 51:38Speaker 3: was President Truman at that time, said, you know, we're
- 51:41Speaker 3: desperately in need of a US ambassador to Mexico. Desperate
- 51:47Speaker 3: and I want you to leave being mayor. We're going
- 51:51Speaker 3: to give you a ticket tape parade to the Canyon
- 51:53Speaker 3: of Heroes. Yeah, ticker tape parade for this crook. And
- 51:58Speaker 3: he went on to become the ambassador to Mexico eventually
- 52:01Speaker 3: to come back and help put together the first Israel
- 52:06Speaker 3: Day Parade, which there's a question as to whether Zorahnmandami
- 52:11Speaker 3: will participate as mayor. We know that ain't happening, or
- 52:15Speaker 3: if he would cancel it. I don't think he'll do that,
- 52:17Speaker 3: but that's for another day. Maybe what should have been
- 52:23Speaker 3: done when Kathy Hokel had Eric Adams on the ropes,
- 52:27Speaker 3: Remember she could have fired him. A governor has the
- 52:30Speaker 3: right to fire a mayor. Now it's never been done
- 52:33Speaker 3: before close, but they didn't quite do it, and she
- 52:39Speaker 3: could have fired him, but he held on basically did
- 52:42Speaker 3: whatever she asked. Yes ma'am, Yes ma'am, Yes ma'am. Now
- 52:46Speaker 3: you remember Tom Homan when Eric Adams was singing sitting
- 52:49Speaker 3: on that sofa there Fox and Friends in the morning
- 52:52Speaker 3: and Tom Holman is talking to the crew there and
- 52:56Speaker 3: he says, Eric Adams on National TV, and if I
- 53:00Speaker 3: come back here, Eric and I find out the NYPD
- 53:03Speaker 3: is not working with ICE. I will put my boot
- 53:07Speaker 3: up your butt. And Eric Adams proud, righteous, your old
- 53:13Speaker 3: Asiatic black man, right, didn't even blink. I have seen
- 53:20Speaker 3: that video over and over every time I go into
- 53:22Speaker 3: an African American community, they said, could you believe what
- 53:24Speaker 3: the brother did here? He didn't even object to that.
- 53:29Speaker 3: He didn't even turn to Tom Holman and say, don't
- 53:31Speaker 3: use that language towards me, because he knew they had
- 53:35Speaker 3: him by the short hairs. That the only reason he
- 53:38Speaker 3: got that get out of jail pass was because he
- 53:47Speaker 3: promised to cooperate with ICE, even though the sanctuary city
- 53:51Speaker 3: laws here in New York City, which I oppose, say
- 53:55Speaker 3: that you cannot. But he was looking in there and
- 54:02Speaker 3: he will never ever overcome that in the African American
- 54:06Speaker 3: community because he had sold them wolf tickets. You know,
- 54:13Speaker 3: at some point I got to discuss Atlantic City. Now
- 54:17Speaker 3: that we have the three casinos, including the Resorts World
- 54:22Speaker 3: that got one of them, Cassino there, remember Yonkers at
- 54:25Speaker 3: the Track got it there. They decided they didn't want
- 54:27Speaker 3: to go for the full license. Three to in Queens,
- 54:31Speaker 3: one in the Bronx, and talk about how that may
- 54:35Speaker 3: be the last now in the coffin for Atlantic City,
- 54:38Speaker 3: which is a place that Eric Adams could have easily
- 54:41Speaker 3: been the mayor of since so many of them have
- 54:43Speaker 3: been indicted five since nineteen eighty one, including the most
- 54:48Speaker 3: recent one Marty Smalls Junior for voter fraud. Hoh shocking. Oh,
- 54:54Speaker 3: you don't want to go anywhere. Oh, by the way,
- 54:57Speaker 3: I did promise you we will go to the phone
- 54:59Speaker 3: so your voice could be you heard at your newfound
- 55:01Speaker 3: station for some your old friend seven ten wor are
- 55:05Speaker 3: numbers one eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
- 55:09Speaker 3: a's one eight hundred three two one zero seven ten
- 55:13Speaker 3: the voice that fights for New York.
- 55:16Speaker 1: Literally, Curtis leewa guest hose for Mark Simone on sevent
- 55:21Speaker 1: ten woor.
- 55:26Speaker 3: Has promised, it's your turn to be heard here and
- 55:29Speaker 3: when I'm hoping so many of you will turn to
- 55:32Speaker 3: seven to ten WOR for all your talk radio content
- 55:35Speaker 3: as I have. Let's go to UH if we can. Mike,
- 55:40Speaker 3: who's calling from Long Island? Your turn to be heard
- 55:44Speaker 3: here at seven ten wor Mikey.
- 55:47Speaker 7: Hey, Curtis, are you don't It's great to hear you
- 55:50Speaker 7: back on the radio. I'm an old Kanassie boy at
- 55:53Speaker 7: a store on Avenue Well and Kanasi. I'm pretty sure
- 55:56Speaker 7: you used to shop there many years ago. My wife
- 55:59Speaker 7: and I saw it. It's about fifty years ago we
- 56:02Speaker 7: started it. And I remember how you used to help
- 56:05Speaker 7: that community when mister Shopton had his march down Avenue
- 56:09Speaker 7: Well and Press Realty was doing all of his things.
- 56:12Speaker 7: And listen, I just want to tell you, I thank
- 56:16Speaker 7: you for everything you've done in the past and how
- 56:19Speaker 7: certain people were promoting Cuolo to be a mayor with
- 56:23Speaker 7: his background. He's a criminal. Politics is a dirty business. Unfortunately,
- 56:29Speaker 7: you were trying to do the right thing. And even
- 56:31Speaker 7: though my vote wouldn't count, I did contribute to your
- 56:35Speaker 7: running for election. And you're a brooklynman and everything you've
- 56:40Speaker 7: done be proud of. And I'm proud to know that
- 56:43Speaker 7: you're from a neighborhood I grew up in. I just
- 56:45Speaker 7: wanted to thank you.
- 56:46Speaker 3: Let me tell you, Kanashi, all road lead to Kanarshi
- 56:50Speaker 3: the good and I might add the bad. Give me
- 56:53Speaker 3: an idea. Avenue L Best Peach of Paula, the original
- 56:57Speaker 3: pizza of Avenue L still there street is Channel twelve,
- 57:01Speaker 3: the news outlet used to be like a bull hack,
- 57:03Speaker 3: a war bomb supermarket no more. And got to tell
- 57:07Speaker 3: you they were the little Casey's on one side of
- 57:09Speaker 3: Avenue L, the Gambinos on the other side. They used
- 57:12Speaker 3: to have to run the gauntlet and the Avenue L
- 57:14Speaker 3: boys who were total degenerates. But I survived that. It
- 57:19Speaker 3: was like running through an Apache line from time to
- 57:23Speaker 3: time because I would not avoid going down Avenue L. Oh, yeah,
- 57:30Speaker 3: Andrew evilized Cromo. How many of them are out there
- 57:34Speaker 3: and they keep You know these bots, they're like they're
- 57:38Speaker 3: like the wave of drones. They get used in the
- 57:41Speaker 3: war between Russia and the Ukraine. Right, they come in bots, spots, spots,
- 57:47Speaker 3: and so you split the vote in the New York
- 57:50Speaker 3: mayor's race to guarantee that more crime could happen, right, Curtis, Right,
- 57:56Speaker 3: you took money from Zorhan. You know these and you
- 57:59Speaker 3: could tell where they being generated from countries all over
- 58:01Speaker 3: the world, and they come in and waves waves, And
- 58:05Speaker 3: it all started with Cuomo and their supporters of Cuomo.
- 58:07Speaker 3: By the way, where is he? Oh yeah, he probably
- 58:10Speaker 3: slid it under his rock in the Hampton's hanging out
- 58:13Speaker 3: with all of his billionaire friends. The influencers, the insiders.
- 58:17Speaker 3: They got him nowhere. Maybe he should run for mayor
- 58:21Speaker 3: of Southampton, since he spent all of his time in Southampton.
- 58:26Speaker 3: Let's go if we can. To Ann, who's calling from
- 58:29Speaker 3: Staten Island. Your turn to be heard here on seven
- 58:33Speaker 3: to ten, wor Ann, Well, let's see.
- 58:38Speaker 8: I'm my sister, and Merry Christmas to you and your
- 58:41Speaker 8: sweet wife who we met. Well, they met at a
- 58:44Speaker 8: fundraiser at the Belvidere with the field and we gave
- 58:48Speaker 8: to your campaign. We miss you. Greg Kelly's Onhinge. You
- 58:52Speaker 8: should see the station for Slander because you're excellent and
- 58:56Speaker 8: you should be the mayor. And we're heartbroken for you,
- 59:00Speaker 8: but you know what you do so much good. I
- 59:03Speaker 8: wish your good health and happiness and financy. I missed
- 59:06Speaker 8: the Animal show. ABC should go down the tubes, and
- 59:10Speaker 8: I have been listening now a few months to OH.
- 59:14Speaker 8: I used to listen to Handity too, and I'm back
- 59:16Speaker 8: with them. I enjoyed them. And Greg Kelly's a total disgrace.
- 59:20Speaker 8: I think he's nuts.
- 59:21Speaker 3: Well, he is a little bots, a little titched, but
- 59:25Speaker 3: you know he is doing what free speech allows you
- 59:30Speaker 3: to do in America. He has a right to do that.
- 59:33Speaker 3: Men have died in battle for us to have free
- 59:36Speaker 3: speech and also to be able to vote, which two million,
- 59:42Speaker 3: one hundred thousand people did in this last mayoral campaign,
- 59:46Speaker 3: a record that hadn't been seen since nineteen sixty five,
- 59:50Speaker 3: since I was all of eleven years old. And so
- 59:53Speaker 3: unfortunately John Lindsay get elected mayor of the City of
- 59:57Speaker 3: New York. By the way, I'm pretty sure, don't we
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: have here Wor the Dog Smart radio show? Don't we
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: have that? I think a w OR? I mean it
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: used to be on the weekends here Wor you would
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: have all the shows that would talk about gardening, talking
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: about finance, investments, retirement, animals. I mean that was a
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: fixture that I would listen to. Bernie Meltzer, Oh yeah,
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: oh wow, what a following he had, Old Bernie, But no,
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: Ann is right. Best thing they ever happened in my
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: life was when I met Nancy. We got married, and boy,
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: she is a animal rescuer, like so many of the
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: listeners here, a wr RN throughout the Tri state area
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: and throughout the country, and without her I could not
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: have survived many many ordeals. I owe everything that I
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: am or I have at this point in my life
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: to my beautiful wife Nancy, and they don't get any
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: better than that. You know, as Mahatma Gandhi said, is
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: society that takes care of its animals will take care
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: of its people. But a society that does not take
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: care of its animals will not take care of its people.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: And that's exactly what we have in New York City.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: As I began the show telling you about the year
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: anniversary of the horrible, horrific death of Debrina Kwam at
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: the subway station in Coney Island on the F train
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: when she was set up into a human torch, and
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: how a year later they won't even say her name
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: because they don't even remember her name. Well, we did
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: that yesterday and I want to aploy w or Natalie
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: in the morning for introducing that in the news the
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: New York Posts for covering it. But many people out
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: there just have no idea what happened. Let's go to Sergio,
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: who's calling from New Jersey. Your turn to be heard
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: here at seven to ten, wa.
- 1:02:04Speaker 9: Sergil Hi Curtis, I was wondering if you can elaborate
- 1:02:09Speaker 9: on Bob Grant one time. Apparently he took some tile
- 1:02:13Speaker 9: expensive towels on the studio and you had to go
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: and mediate for him to bring him back.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: Let me correct you. The king of talk radio, Bob Grant,
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: who is my mentor, was the reason that I'm in
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: talk radio because when I was first on the air
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: at the old WABC, they didn't want to have me
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: on the air, and he said, you gotta have Curtis
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: on the air because he knows where all the bones
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: buried and who buried them. And he had the force
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: in the talk radio world at that time that his
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: wish basically became the command of the suits, the big markers.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: But he was a kleptomaniac in many many ways, no
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: doubt about it. I think you're conflating two separate stories.
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: But let me tell you the best one that I
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: was personally involved in. He was given a loaner Cadillac
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: back then in order to promote somebody purchasing a new
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: car used car. They have a new fangled expression now
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: pre owned car. You know, for used cars, they would
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: give you a loaner car. And Bob Grant, I think
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: it was in Englewood, was promoting Cadillacs from Englewood everybody
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: back then. They wanted to the El Dorado, they wanted
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: the Fleetwood, the Seville. He had a car and his
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: driver would take him back and forth to Manalapan on
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: the Jersey Shore where he was living, and you have
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: to give it back after a certain point of time.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: And the program director there, John Manelli, was intimidated by Bob,
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: as he could intimidate many, and Bob wouldn't give the
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Cadillac back. So John Manelli said, he's your friend. Go
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: in there and tell them there are new rules in
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: the business. You can't schnore like a lot of radio
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: people did, both AM and FM four years schnore free stuff.
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: It's called pay for play, and we could get in trouble.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: So I said, I got it, John. I went in there.
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: It took me maybe an hour and a half to
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: convince the King of talk radio, Bob Grant, responsible for
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: my career, to give me the keys and that we
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: would get it back to the Cadillac dealership before they
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: would report that to the FCC to be in violation
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: of pay for play. But man, it was not easy.
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: It's Bob Grant. Back then, the king of talk radio
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: thought I'm entitled to the treasures like so many others.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: And if you listen to me up until January second,
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: as I substitute for Mark Simone, you're gonna hear a
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: lot of other stories you had no idea about that
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: I want to share with you about this thing of ours,
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: talk radio, because this is the business that we have chosen.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Now more with New York's iconic straight shooter Curtis Leewa
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: toasting from Mark Timone on seven ten.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: Woo you know, yes it is. I was leaving the
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: studios here day number one of my substitution for Mark
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: Simone until January second. And oh I got a lot
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: of other great stories to share with all of you.
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: And that's why you got to listen every day or
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: get it on the podcast. But I heard the voice
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: of Brett Winterble, who's substituting up next for the boys.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: I said, that's bretton Winterble, that's boy Limbaugh. He used
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: to be the phone screener for the Great Rush Limbaugh.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: We used to share facilities at the old WABC seventeen
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: four high above Madison Square Garden and Brett was great,
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: always wanted to be in talk radio. And he used
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: to live in Morris Park in the Bronx. Take the
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: two of the five chain up there, say really Bretton,
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, live up here, family, updates family. And he's
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: gone on to become a great talk show host in Charlotte,
