A seven-year-old girl, Drihanna Matamona, tragically drowned in a storm pond after slipping away unnoticed from her home — a heartbreaking loss for her family and the Legacy community. Non-verbal and autistic, Drihanna used a communication device and was beloved for her joyful spirit and care for her younger brother. Though safety measures were in place, she managed to reach the pond, and despite heroic bystander CPR and emergency efforts, she couldn’t be saved.
