So I've been in the I'm living in UK. So in London, I've been here for over 20 years. ⁓ I first came here to work in corporate and I did that and I just lived the life. I love traveling. Very spiritual person. ⁓ I live with my family. So I have my partner and my six years old daughter. ⁓ Emmamma: And if you feel called to leave a rating or review, it genuinely helps more women find this work. So thank you. You deserve to understand body. You deserve to feel confident in your reproductive choices. And you ⁓ have to figure it out alone. I'll see you next week. Thanks for being here. Laetitia: What else can I say? Yeah, I got into this following my, you know, my journey, my conception journey. Yeah. And what I love, I love good food. And as I said, you know, I love I mean, I love anything that's to do with travel and new cultures, meeting new people and very social. But yeah, that's emmamma: Mm. Laetitia: That's pretty much, I mean, I'm not gonna tell you my whole, but that's pretty much who I am. Yeah, that's pretty much who I am living in London and working now with, at Helping Woman on the conception journey, which is very important to me, very close to my heart. But I never thought I would do that if you asked me that even like 10 years ago. So here I am. emmamma: Yeah, no, that's good. Yeah, that's amazing. I love to ask people, what is a rhythm or ritual that you love in your current season of life? Laetitia: what I love to do is ⁓ now have my practice in the morning. So for me now starting my morning ⁓ on the right foot, if I may say, ⁓ meaning I need to read grounding and ⁓ it what mood I am in, but I have different tools in my box. So ⁓ it be that I'm going to do a breathing practice ⁓ or could be that I'm doing meditation first thing when there is guided, whether I'm feeling a lot more now. to just basically go back within but without any guided just just just silence and just like go back within ⁓ I do not incorporate visualization because I'm very big into that and I love visualization it's not every day but as I said I do allow me maybe about a good 30 minutes if I'm if I'm out of time but if not an hour just for ⁓ Myself and if I don't have time because I need to go to school run or anything I would come back home and have like stretching a bit of yoga So yeah, I do find it very important throughout the day to be present and to go back into Doing that kind of practice on the non daily ⁓ It's not daily, but I do ⁓ Kind of practice what I preach so I do EFT on myself because I love this modality And no matter which stage of your life you're in, isn't it? Like you always need emotional processing and things like that. So for me, that's very important to work with that. I do ⁓ angelic Reiki. So I do energy healing on myself regularly. ⁓ But other than that, try to also, I love reformer pilates. So I try to do three times a week. ⁓ And I love starting my day with a very good breakfast. ⁓ emmamma: sure. Emmamma: Welcome to the Cyclical Doula podcast. I'm Emma, a certified fertility awareness educator, miscarriage doula and the founder of Emmamma Laetitia: If I don't, I do try to do intermittent fasting, which means I have a juice in the morning. But if I don't, I'm not on those days, then I love a really wholesome, nutritious ⁓ breakfast. ⁓ And I love coffee. whether that's good or not for me, this is my start of the day. And if I feel like I'm not really in that mood or I'm not feeling good, that thing in the morning, I have my high vibe. emmamma: Yeah Laetitia: type of playlist and I try to really raise my vibration with music. That's what I can say to you. ⁓ emmamma: Yeah, that's amazing. I love that. Those are so many cool things. And like, what a range of like different, ⁓ like practices of like more like inward and like grounding and then more like you just said, like the playlist of like being more of like a high vibe ⁓ experience. Like that's really cool. I love that. Emmamma: This space is for women who want to understand their bodies deeply, not just memorize information, but actually feel confident in interpreting their cycles. Here we talk about ovulation, hormones, cervical mucus, basal body temperature, and all that's messy in between emotional layers that come with being woman. We talk about trying to conceive, avoiding pregnancy ⁓ hormones. Laetitia: I think like it's it gets boring I think for me anyway if you always said oh my god I need to go meditate I need to do that but I think it depends on how what mood or what need I think checking in in the morning and that's why I tell my clients as well I think a good thing to do is first thing in the morning just check in what is it that my body my mind my spirit needs right now maybe is a walk outside maybe is do you know I mean so I like to just emmamma: Mm-hmm. Laetitia: kind of see what resonates in the day or in the morning, see what, you know, and have different ideas, different tools. Emmamma: postpartum transitions, pregnancy loss, perimenopause, and everything in between. Because body literacy isn't just about charting. It's about the autonomy. It's about informed consent. It's about not outsourcing your reproductive decisions to guesswork or fear. Each week, you'll hear conversations with women's health professionals, ⁓ workers, ⁓ emmamma: Yeah, absolutely. That's awesome. So you shared, ⁓ well, I read a little bit in your bio and you shared a little bit about your ⁓ journey and how your, time of ⁓ trying to conceive was very, very long for you. Would you like to share a little bit ⁓ about that story just so we can kind of understand where you're coming from into this space? Laetitia: Mm-hmm. Emmamma: and researchers along with solo episodes where I teach practical skills you can apply to your own cycle right away. if you have ever felt like you should have learned this information sooner, if you have ever felt disconnected from your cycle, Laetitia: Yeah, sure. Well, I conceived, I started the conception journey when I was, I'm, I've said that story so many times and now I'm like, how old was I? About 30, 34, 35, I'd say. And I never really, apart from stopping the pill, which by the way, was one of the things I should never have started, but you know, back in the days, emmamma: Yeah. Emmamma: If you want to raise the next generation without shame around their bodies, you are in the right place. So grab your tea, open up your notes app, and let's build a cycle confidence together. Laetitia: Because you said endometriosis which is kind of the sister that of what I have but I have adenomyosis it's Pneumatic cyst in the muscle, but yeah, it gives you the same similar symptoms and having had that ⁓ I think it's important as well to hear that because having had that when I was 16 17 and not having any Investigations I was given the pill to stop the pain ⁓ Big mistakes because you kind of numbing and just ignoring what's going on internally. And yeah, basically the only thing I did at the time was stopping the pill. And that's when I realized I had issues, bigger issues. ⁓ And that was around 31, 32 when I realized and being diagnosed with adenomyosis and was told that fertility wise that could potentially create problems ⁓ or delays or issues. I stopped the pill, I had that investigation, I was... And then when I decided that, you know, naively, ⁓ yeah, this is the right time now. Not that you ever feel maybe sometimes 100 % ready, but I like you can start for a family. And ⁓ I actually got pregnant very fairly soon. I think it was, ⁓ if I'm not mistaken, it took less than a year. I think it took six months for me to get pregnant. emmamma: Yeah. Laetitia: ⁓ And yeah, so long story short, started, ⁓ I had an ectopic pregnancy at the time. ⁓ I didn't know. So my celebration, the joy and everything that came with it ⁓ was very short-lived because I started to bleed. And then I never even heard of the word ectopic. This is when the pregnancy grows in the right. emmamma: Yeah. Laetitia: place not in your room so it was for me in the left tube ⁓ and then what followed was four years basically of ⁓ struggle ⁓ I was completely shocked of course the thing the first one I thought ⁓ you know well that that is a shock and that happens so you know dealing with it emotionally but I feel like I was always in that mode of okay what's next what's next you know I never emmamma: And then what? Bye. Laetitia: throughout the four years type processed, well the last year, yes, but for the first three years I never stopped and decided to process. No one told me, know, process emotionally, look at, you know, different things. So I just felt like, okay, I need to keep on trying, keep on trying, keep on trying. I was diagnosed after eventually doing all the medical tests. emmamma: Great. Laetitia: And I think that's the difficulty of when you are told it's unexplained because not saying it's easy at all, course, 100 % not to have a medical diagnosis, but you almost like want to have an answer. You want to know what is wrong. So the fact that it's unexplained, leaves you with that open space and that frustration and that, yeah, an answer, no answer. And... ⁓ emmamma: Yeah. ⁓ Mm-hmm Laetitia: And I'm very much, mean, like most women are meat, like all you want is to have your baby. So you try everything that exists that you can hear of and you do all the medical tests. So this is what I did. Eventually I just became ⁓ what most women will recognize is like overwhelmed, angry. I had three more losses. ⁓ So during that period of four years, I had three ectopic pregnancies in my left tube. Basically each year I had one. I was very grateful and very lucky to not have my, because I know it can be very dangerous and it's life threatening as well. I was very blessed that I managed to keep my tubes, ⁓ so I didn't have any surgery. emmamma: Basically each year I have one. ⁓ Bye. Mm-hmm. Laetitia: which is not the case for every woman going through that. It's very important to check very early days. And I think that's one thing that was lacking in UK anyway, unless you had those losses in the past, you don't really have any scan until it's three months. I'm not sure if that's the same thing for every countries, but ⁓ first of all, it doesn't give you that peace of mind for three months. But other than that, you might have something that it's wrong and... emmamma: Great. Yeah. Laetitia: Anyway, that is four years of what I've been through. And after exploring, think also what's happened is the... explain, sorry, not the ectopic pregnancy. The first time I had it, I had the medication given twice, which really messed up my whole health, like my digestion. A lot of things happened after that, which my body was giving me signal of... emmamma: Yeah. Laetitia: So yeah, then I went through a whole of a detox ⁓ following that because it's just simply wasn't my afters infill myself. ⁓ And I think there's a lot of side effects coming from that medication. Yes, it gives you that. That's how they treat the ectopic pregnancy. And yeah, fair enough. But it gives you like side effects that you have to be aware of. And I always advise women to check with a natural path or functional doctor, fertility doctor to actually go beyond what the other doctors would tell you to do, which is just like wait for the pregnancy, wait three months and then you can try again. But what about everything going on internally? So there's a lot of detox happen there at that time. emmamma: right. Mm-hmm. Laetitia: But yet, still after that, nothing else, you I kept on having those losses. ⁓ And I just didn't know what happened, why, what, you know, if that was ever going to happen to me. Eventually I decided to ⁓ take a break ⁓ and ⁓ I think my body was not holding on anymore. Repeated loss, stress, not medication, but like the medication I had with the thing. I think I was, my nervous system was dysregulated. I felt like the shadow of myself. I felt lost. I felt like a failure. I was living on fear. I was just like the shadow of myself pretty much. So eventually that's where it led me to go within. ⁓ And that's when I started this whole ⁓ mental, spiritual, ⁓ suppose like my healing journey. emmamma: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Laetitia: It led me to understand that fertility is not just physical and and that's what led me here really It's a very it's hard to explain it all but it's basically yeah those I feel like if they didn't happen to me I wouldn't have gone deep that deep into of course you wouldn't why if you get pregnant, what would you? emmamma: Yeah. Laetitia: fertility not just physical ⁓ and and that's what led me really I feel like if they didn't happen to me I wouldn't have gone deep that deep into of course you wouldn't if you get pregnant, what would you? emmamma: Right, right, exactly, yeah. Laetitia: You know, it made me realize lots of things in terms of like my hormones, how my body works, even knowing that the liver and all of the gut healing is actually as important as your mindset is, as your stress level. And not saying that you have to be positive, it's all about rainbow unicorns, no, but everything contributes to, you know, every little step or everything can contribute to your body being misaligned, I suppose, with conception. it made me realize lots of things ⁓ in of like my hormones, how my body works, ⁓ even that the liver and all of the gut healing is actually as important ⁓ as mindset is, as your stress level. And not that you have to be positive, it's all about rainbow unicorns, no, but everything contributes to, ⁓ you know, little step or everything can contribute to your body being ⁓ misaligned, I with emmamma: Mmm. Mmm. Right. Right. Right? Absolutely. Laetitia: ⁓ yeah, that's pretty much what happened in those four years. emmamma: Yeah. Yeah, which is a lot. That's so many things to go through. And thanks for sharing your story, because I know that that really helps a lot of people be able to process their own stories as well. And you mentioned that they had that you had this like unexplained infertility is the phrase that you use. Do you feel like you got to the understanding at some point of like that there was an explanation for it and it just wasn't what the medical field was looking for? Or are you still in the mindset of like it was some unexplainedness? Laetitia: Yeah Yeah, the reality is you will never 100 % know what was causing it, right? I ⁓ do, but I mean, there might have been some factors, we know physically, as such as myadenomyosis or taking the pill for so many years, you know, there might have been certain things that contributed to the ectopic. ⁓ But the fact... emmamma: Absolutely. Yeah, yep. Laetitia: that ⁓ I had three ectopic they actually wanted to remove my tube not because it was life-threatening but because ⁓ the doctors said well you had three you know how many more he actually said how many more do you want and I said well I don't want any thank you very much but it was my life in danger and I think that was the turning point at that point in the hospital after the fourth loss and the third ectopic emmamma: Yeah. Yeah. Laetitia: When you said to me while we remove your tube and I kind of like Felt like I was fed up I felt like I was giving my power away for all these years to the medical world and yes They are have this space to give you diagnostic or do all the absolutely absolutely is important But eventually, you know, it's just you're giving all your power away and I'm like I need to know for myself Is this the right thing for me to do? And I want to answer your question. I find it bizarre that emmamma: Mm. Yeah. So, yep. Laetitia: You know, so I never, went back within and I kind of trusted my intuition. My gut feeling was telling me, not cut your, you know, do not remove your tube. And I conceived that following year ⁓ from that same tube that they were going to remove. And I didn't do nothing physically because the test for the tube, it was done between I think the first and the second ectopic, know, that HCG when you, they put something in your tube to see if it's flowing or not. ⁓ emmamma: Yep. Laetitia: I had that done years before. I haven't done nothing physically between the loss, the last loss and my natural conception for my life tube. So whether that was an explained, I don't know. But what I do know is that my mindset, my stress, everything that was happening inside my body, that exhaustion, that my body was in fight or flight, you know. emmamma: Right. Laetitia: It was literally, now I understand more about nervous system regulation and everything. Even though I hate when people say, don't stress, you know, you'll get pregnant. That's not what I But what I do know is that the stress can manifest in different ways. And it's not about, as I said, oh don't stress, it'll be fine. No. But what about your subconscious, your belief system? If everything in your body is saying no, as in like, emmamma: Yeah, I mean, that's not helpful in that phrase specifically. Yeah. Laetitia: It's because I feel like the unexplained diagnosis again very frustratingly it kind of tells you in your mind that something is not working that you are your body's failing is not doing what it's meant to do or maybe you are feeling like I have to create more control to decide what's not so You know, you're not putting your body into a safety mode you putting your body into control perfectionism or into fight-flight into fear and The minute I kind of like let go of the control, the minute I healed each part of my body and because you know my my womb was holding on for having spoken to a specialist in that now I do a lot more womb healing myself but the womb holds on to a lot of your emotion energetically, ⁓ the emotions that were not processed, the grief I didn't process ⁓ emmamma: Mm-hmm. Laetitia: I used the whole year to actually finally heal myself. And instead of rushing, rushing, rushing to the next pregnancy, I decided to actually go back with him. And it really was an eye-opener for me. And to answer your question, think, yeah, unexplained can be so many things. think there is something. There is something. It just means that they don't know what it is. emmamma: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Right. Laetitia: Whether that is medical and they haven't investigated enough or whether there is more of a mind, body, ⁓ energetic reason, I think it can be either way. But for me, the only thing I did in the last year was, as I said, the only thing, but it's actually a lot of thing, it breathes, go back within, let go of the control, surrender more, but also like... emmamma: Yeah, right. ⁓ yeah. Laetitia: ⁓ I think by healing and let go of all those emotion and naturally trusted more the process and my body I went I went back into that mind-body-wound connection and it really like Eventually give me back that power and that trust and and and when you do that your body kind of tells you when you feel when it's of balance you feel like when something is missing the same thing as you talk so much about your cycle your body gives you those signals, right? So I think by listening and by knowing a bit more emmamma: Bye. Laetitia: I was not just anymore taking all the pills I had to take or everything that I could see on internet or no, I just because ⁓ whether a million women have an explained diagnosis, everyone has their own unique journey. And unless we actually listen to our own body and spirits, ⁓ we won't know what we need, right? So I think ⁓ for me, unexplained just means that you need to create that. emmamma: Mm-hmm. Laetitia: alignment and you need to create that environment to opt in, you know, for optimal fertility. I think that's what it means and kind of create. Yeah, that, yeah, as I said, that's safe space inside. And yeah, again, there's no right or wrong. There's not exactly if it was too easy, if we would say what unexplained equal this. No, I think it's it's an investigation and a journey of. emmamma: Yeah. Laetitia: understanding what is misaligned in your body, mind or spirit for the fertility to happen. ⁓ That's how I see it anyway. emmamma: Yeah, I think that's I think that's really I think I feel the same way about it. I think that phrase is kind of ⁓ like we have nothing else to kind of research or do anything else on our end when medical professionals say that. And like you were mentioning, like it can often be other things like the mind body that needs some healing to at least get to the next step. And might there still need to be some medical intervention? Yes, possibly. But there's like that is a huge part of it as well. Laetitia: Yes, definitely. emmamma: You mentioned womb healing. What does that look like? And how do you walk people through that process of healing their womb? Laetitia: Yeah, ⁓ I kind of came up with my own, ⁓ I suppose my own way of doing so I, first of all, when it was for myself, I met someone who ⁓ guided me through my kind of like energetic womb healing journey. ⁓ And that was really through meditation, ⁓ through channeling, but also like, as I said, energetic. ⁓ did also a different one where again, someone did room healing for me, but it was more physical where there was a room massage and it was combined with energetics. And that really told me at the time that, my gosh, because she told me things that she felt in my body that, and once she started, we started to tune into this, my room and ⁓ felt the energetic, I felt the energy healing and I felt kind of the emotion coming up. I I had a lot of, ⁓ I didn't realize, but until I did that healing, I had a lot of shame. That was after I had my daughter, by the way, excuse me, which I thought I did everything as terms of healing, but had a lot, my daughter was talking in my room specifically, because that's what we were actually working on. emmamma: Mm-hmm. Okay. Right. Laetitia: was carrying a lot of shame and that was around the birth because it didn't go as I wanted it to go. So I had guilt. Shame is probably like a little bit, but mainly guilt towards my daughter. ⁓ So it just tells you how much you're holding onto it. I thought, you know, this is a very important and crucial component to the journey. The way I do it is I take my client into a... ⁓ emmamma: Mm. Yeah. Laetitia: kind of like a hypnosis ⁓ meditation state. ⁓ And I combine that with ⁓ angelic raiqi, so which I focus around the area with the angelic kingdom, but it's a raiqi, so it's energy healing. And we really help ⁓ heal and really release anything that ⁓ does no longer. emmamma: Okay. Laetitia: you know, there's no longer need there. That we bring a lot of love and compassion. I think that's a very important element to bring love and compassion towards our body, our womb, because sometimes it comes that we are in that journey and it becomes like two different, I wouldn't say entity, but it becomes, we become separated from our womb. ⁓ But it's our creative center. It's the home of our future baby, right? And sometimes, emmamma: Mmm. Laetitia: because our body is not doing what we're supposed to do, what it's supposed to do at the time we want it to do, it becomes almost like, I'm not an enemy, but I was angry for long time to my body personally, the way I was talking to my body. And I feel like for me, womb healing is very important in that sense. So yeah, I combine to answer your question, hypnosis, energy healing and like meditation, and it really helps them. ⁓ emmamma: scan. Yeah. Laetitia: Yeah, heal that area and release. And sometimes if there is any EFT that needs to be done, if we, we, if we came across an emotion that was released, like it happened to me, then we do some EFT, maybe a, which is emotional freedom technique, tapping technique to really get at the bottom of that and release completely if needed. Um, that's, that's how I work with BOOM and they always leave with like, you know, a recorded meditation as well to do at home because I feel like. emmamma: Mm-hmm. Laetitia: It's not just a one-off thing. This is something to ⁓ combine to your routine. It doesn't have to be daily, but it has to become your best friend. Your room, it has to be that connection really also help with your intuition, with your inner knowing. And I think once you have that, it's your power coming back, isn't it? Yeah. emmamma: Yeah. It has Yeah. Yeah, that's so good. think ⁓ so. Tell us a little bit more about EFT and tapping and like how that plays into people finding like, great, because it's helping them find some like regulation in in their day to day. Can you tell us what that looks like? Laetitia: Yeah. Have you had EFT before? think that's, have you had EFT? ⁓ emmamma: Me, I've done it in a group, like in a business thing that we did like a group one together. ⁓ yeah, listeners might not have any idea what it is. So go through, yeah, go through everything. Laetitia: Okay. Yeah, no, of course. I was just curious to know if you had it. I think I was very sceptical before that. That's why I'm saying that because a lot of people, you know, it was a lot of things on internet about tapping, tapping. And I was like, ⁓ my God, how can that really help? And I think there's really loads of ways people use EFT. What I mean by that is I do it in the way I've learnt it as a practitioner, but it's more really to release the emotion. So what EFT is like a emmamma: Yeah. Okay. Laetitia: It's a combination of psychotherapy and acupressure. ⁓ We are tapping on the meridians. So when you do acupuncture, you have those meridians, except we are using it up until like we use under the arms. Other than that, it's all above your collarbone. It's mainly on your face and on your wrist and fingers. So it's very gentle, but it's transformational. And what we do is like... What I said by psychotherapists is because you are talking about what you are feeling and you are the same time tapping on the points. ⁓ what it does is it allows the emotions to come back to the surface. ⁓ It also retrieves information ⁓ because it connects your mind and body and it connects to on a subconscious level. ⁓ emmamma: Mmm. Laetitia: You might not be aware of why you have that phobia. I mean, I'm talking very basic at that point. A phobia of height or phobia of that. Or it could be that you have this limited belief about being not good enough and you had that all your life. And it's consciously, you're not consciously not aware of why, where that comes from. And EFT lies allows you to retrieve information and to even go back to inner child, like, ⁓ emmamma: Yes, yes, yes, yes. Right. Laetitia: it could be something that was very ⁓ not consciously, you're not consciously aware of it at this time, but actually create the beginning of the belief. So what can you do? It can just help you with release emotions like you have on a daily basis like I do. If you have like frustration or anything ⁓ like any human have basically, you can use that yourself. But when it comes to trauma or like limited beliefs in a child work, emmamma: right? Mm-hmm. Right. Laetitia: ⁓ even physical like physical pains and things like that that would really practical because then like some trauma informed but yeah it it reduces the cortisol as well it's proven scientifically that it really reduces the stress level so when you do a session you automatically have that ⁓ you feel lighter you've got the stress level it's all coming down ⁓ emmamma: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm-hmm. ⁓ Laetitia: you will see things from a different perspective. So it really changes the whole thing, but it really has that mind-body connection as well. ⁓ And what I meant earlier by, you know, some people use that to manifesting and just use it as a positive. ⁓ And I'm not against it. It's nice to use it as a positive. But when I do that, session with my client, the reason it works is because we are acknowledging what our body needs to be acknowledged and we're not burying anything. So... emmamma: Yeah. Right. Mm. Laetitia: If you have grief inside of you, might not know if it's sadness, if it's anger that you are feeling, if it's this, but your body will tell you when we start tapping and by voicing it as well. It's kind of like working well in combination with the tapping on the acupuncture, on the acupressure point. ⁓ So yeah, positive can happen after, but I think the idea is to actually become aware of what's causing the stress. emmamma: Right. Mm-hmm. Laetitia: or the emotion and then allow it, allow it to release. It's not, for me, I don't see emotions as positive or negative. I just see them as your body language, your body's way of communicating what's happening inside you. And of course, being able to release it is, that's what it's called freedom technique. gives you that, you know, that weight of your body, of your shoulders, of like, it's really lifting it off. emmamma: Yeah. care. Laetitia: And from personal experience, I didn't believe it until I did it myself. ⁓ My mom passed away years ago ⁓ and I had loads of triggers, triggering memories as well as during my conception journey, of course. But the first time I used it was for my mom. And as much as you're always going to carry that grief, of course, and that, you know, the trigger, the triggering memories was always in my mind. couldn't get rid of it. And thanks to EFT, emmamma: Yeah. ⁓ Laetitia: I was able to ⁓ remove those triggers, meaning like you can remember something, but you haven't got that emotional attachment to it anymore. So you're not feeling attached to the past in the same way. And I find that amazing because it's as much useful for women going through conception that is for anyone going through a difficult time. emmamma: Mm-hmm. Yeah, that's amazing. think, ⁓ like, first of all, an amazing tool. And there's there's so many practitioners out there who do this. And it's amazing that there's this resource to be able to learn how to do that. Well, I you just mentioned that you and other people have experienced using this and then being able to go through moments and and not have that like overwhelming grief. through big things. ⁓ I recently have been talking with a lot of other people who have gone through loss. And one of the things that we've talked about is how hard milestones can be after a pregnancy loss of other, like either with another pregnancy after loss or with other children after loss or things like that. Do you feel like that's something that can help with those milestones? Because obviously there's a Laetitia: Yeah. emmamma: There's a good part of like holding grief and joy at the same time of being able to see both of those things, but maybe it would feel less overwhelming for many people. Laetitia: Yeah. Yeah, no, 100%. I mean, I am living proof of it and all the women I have the honor to help on this journey. Whether, you know, I talked on that on a different podcast recently, but whether that is through miscarriage. I had a miscarriage earlier last year as well. And I had the differences compared to when I had my ectopics and my journey before my daughter. emmamma: Yeah. Laetitia: I have now different tool and one of them is EFT. And I can't tell you how much it helped me because that miscarriage was one of the most difficult loss I've had and I've had four before and I already have a child and that was the most difficult one I had emotionally. can't tell you. But of course the grief is there and I think it's important to take your time. There's no rush, there's no marathon. It is a marathon actually, but there's no rush in or comp- emmamma: Right. Laetitia: to compete with anyone else, but it is whether you are using help to ⁓ remove that overwhelm, to process those emotions and to bring back that safety and that trust in your body. ⁓ So whether that is for the loss, whether that is in birth trauma as well, I help women in birth trauma, whether that is, ⁓ and even after, like I help women that are pregnant, you know. emmamma: Right. Laetitia: but they've had a difficult conception journey and those triggers. So yes, they are the milestone, but there's also those triggers and that fear when you're pregnant, the story is not over, is it? It's like, okay, great, I've got the pregnancy test, but now what do like this very difficult situation. we, by doing that, you are, I am helping and anyone does doing that helps their system feeling safer. emmamma: Mm, mhm. Yes. Mm-hmm. Laetitia: but also like processing those emotions as they come and it becomes a tool they can use on a daily basis as well. So yes, it doesn't become like as easy as someone that's not had that before, but it really is helping the journey immensely. A woman I've helped as well that had birth trauma and really couldn't connect to her baby, because she really felt like her life could have been in danger. She felt like she didn't want to connect with her. emmamma: Yeah. Laetitia: She couldn't connect with a baby because she was scared she was not coming at the term or she was completely panicked at the idea of giving birth again because her first one was very traumatic. And by doing EFT, ⁓ she completely, as I said earlier, she removed those triggers and she removed that emotional attachment she had from the birth trauma that she had in the past. And she's actually managed to completely change perspective, feeling safer in her body. and she even had a doula at home and gave birth at home ⁓ and it completely transformed her because she didn't have the emotional, ⁓ yeah, luggage holding her back anymore. And ⁓ for me, yes, and the milestone, yeah, the periods as well, you every month you have your periods and it becomes that disappointment, it becomes that failure or that... emmamma: Yeah, yep. Absolutely. Yes, yeah. Laetitia: whatever emotion you're feeling, it's big and that helps as well. Release again, release, help the release. So yeah, I would definitely encourage first to learn and again, as I said, mean, get someone that is, resonates with you, that you feel safe with, but yeah, not everyone on internet is doing the right thing. So I would just... emmamma: Mm-hmm. Right. Laetitia: use someone that you feel resonate and that is actually ⁓ you know ⁓ training that practice but yes 100 % useful for those. emmamma: For sure. Absolutely. Yeah, that's so good. I mean, there's so many amazing tools out there, but this seems like a really a powerful one for people who are going through this experience with their fertility and conception and loss and all of those things. What's? Laetitia: Yeah, think as you said, that's a good one for changing belief, but removing, healing the emotional, the energetic ⁓ and everything. And I think it's only once you've done that, that then I would use things like ⁓ NLP coaching, I would use hypnotherapy to then rewire your subconscious because unless you are actually... emmamma: Yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Laetitia: Regulating your nervous system and bringing safety into it and healing those emotion. It's only then that I would then ⁓ As I said rewire your mindset to actually give empowering new beliefs in the system and let's say go from like I'm broken or ⁓ I'm never gonna get pregnant or I'm too old to actually this can happen to me but first step for me the way I work is is emmamma: Yeah. Right. Laetitia: ⁓ It's definitely first the healing and the safety in the nervous system before we get to a different tool that I would use. Yeah. emmamma: That's awesome. What's one thing that you want any woman who's listening who might be in this time of not fully processing their fertility journey, what do want them to hear? Laetitia: Yeah, I want them to first remember they are not broken, okay? ⁓ Losses, unexplained diagnosis, all the challenges don't define who you are. And having that journey doesn't stop you from being a mother. And I know it's so difficult and every journey is unique. And it's easy to say, not compare yourself to anyone else. But I think... ⁓ I never asked for help for a long time and I think it's important. There's so many now lovely practitioners, people out there, whether you are more towards going through acupuncture, whether you want some coach, whether you want, you know, whatever it is, like ask, get some help so you're not alone as well. And I think like it's possible to, as you said earlier, it's possible to hold, you know, we are starting this journey and when these complications happen, you hold a lot of grief, you hold a lot of fear and that is normal, but it can coexist with hope and power and empowerment. It doesn't have to be the one without the other and ⁓ it's possible to reclaim your power, it's possible to rebuild that trust in your body and that safety. ⁓ So yeah, I think like the body is sacred and the body is... It's very resilient, isn't it? But I think it's very important to work together. yeah, and yeah, and remember there's hope out there. ⁓ And it can happen for sure, even after some, and I think for me it's important to remember that to go back within your knowing. think if your heart, my heart used to tell me so much. emmamma: Yeah. Laetitia: I am going to be a mom. But then when the doctors were telling me, you're going to be almost 40, you should do IVF, nothing against IVF. But I'd like it to have a bit more investigation rather than giving me that as a like, that's it, that's what you're to do. No, I mean, like whatever's right for you is right for you. But I feel like when your heart, your whole being is telling you, you're going to be a mom, just trust it. You know, it might be complicated and a longer journey that we are hopeful. emmamma: You're right. Yes, absolutely. Mm. Laetitia: but no doctors can tell you what's gonna happen. know what I mean? Whether you are 40 or 45, it's still possible. So I think it's so important to trust what our body and soul are telling us. And one thing I haven't mentioned as well is that our journey is unique, but let's remember that it's not just our journey, it's also the baby's spirit journey. We are all a soul, we're the bodies, emmamma: Yeah. Mmm. Laetitia: And this is for another episode, but I had experiences while communicating with my daughter way before she was born. And one thing I've learned is that sometimes it's not just about what we're doing or not doing. And I think we have to remember it is our journey, but it's also our partner's journey and it's our future baby's journey. So it's kind of like, it's good to be able to communicate with all of them and like have that bridge to connect. emmamma: Right. Yeah. Absolutely. think yes, absolutely. wonder, ⁓ just as we wrap up today, what else do you, you shared a lot just now about other things that you want to share, but is there anything else that comes to mind that you just want somebody to hear before we close out? Laetitia: ⁓ Just give yourself permission to trust again and to heal I think going is not necessary I think we are we are told in society that my god time is running out thing that it's not actually ⁓ the answer sometimes slowing down is not going to hinder it, it's actually ⁓ giving back your power and listening to what it is that you actually need. ⁓ yeah, just give yourself love and compassion as well, it's very important. And forgiveness. emmamma: Yeah, amazing. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Where can people find you if they want to connect with you specifically? Laetitia: Yeah, I mean they can find me on ⁓ Instagram or on my website. My Instagram is ⁓ mindset underscore body and soul. My website also mindset body and soul. They can DM me. mean, I'm you know, whichever way is easier for them. There's my email as well in there. They can reach me and I'm happy to also like I always offer a free discovery call. ⁓ and there is never a sales pitch or no obligation but even just my advice or anything they want to talk about in terms of their journey, I'm more than happy my door is open. emmamma: Yeah. Awesome, great. Well, we'll put all of those things in the show notes. And if you're listening, please take the time to ⁓ follow all of ⁓ those things and get the resources that you need. ⁓ Thanks so much for being here. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your story and the work that you're doing. Laetitia: Thank you for having me. It was a pleasure.
