- 0:41Speaker 1: some discounts. Let's go into it today. China is now
- 0:44Speaker 1: launching the world's first R and B tokenized money market fund.
- 0:47Speaker 1: This is a big deal because it's a green light
- 0:48Speaker 1: for China now in wake of what we've seen here
- 0:52Speaker 1: in the US, and that is the passage of the
- 0:55Speaker 1: Genius Act, which is a stable cooin bill here in
- 0:57Speaker 1: the US. If you look at the remembe right here
- 0:59Speaker 1: to deposits in Hong Kong right now, they increase six
- 1:01Speaker 1: and a half percent by January. This is almost a
- 1:03Speaker 1: trillion at the end of January. That's in money markets funds.
- 1:06Speaker 1: That means there's a lot of money on the sidelines
- 1:10Speaker 1: right now looking for opportunities. And one of the things
- 1:13Speaker 1: that could come into it are some of the publicly
- 1:15Speaker 1: traded companies. This is one of the companies that was
- 1:18Speaker 1: approved to be able to participate in this space. And
- 1:21Speaker 1: look at the explosion that happened. Much like if you
- 1:25Speaker 1: compare this to like Circle, but you know with an
- 1:27Speaker 1: Asian pounter part and the other things they're going to
- 1:30Speaker 1: be looking at. This is what companies will start to
- 1:32Speaker 1: play out in the public space, in the IPO space
- 1:35Speaker 1: here in the United States. We're going to highlight four
- 1:38Speaker 1: companies today that you guys want to watch. I want
- 1:40Speaker 1: to go to this next clip though, this will get
- 1:42Speaker 1: into China softening up around stable coins.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 1:46Speaker 3: A stock has jumped fivefold in just a couple of
- 1:49Speaker 3: weeks since this license was granted.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Pretty much to the day when the United States rolls
- 1:55Speaker 4: out its Genius Bill and you know the HKMA is
- 1:57Speaker 4: showing that it's back to a trillion and be that
- 2:00Speaker 4: is sitting in bank savings.
- 2:02Speaker 3: When we had Ledger, the CEO was asking me, do
- 2:06Speaker 3: you think China will soften its stance on cryptocurrencies? And
- 2:10Speaker 3: I boldly told him no, I didn't think so at
- 2:13Speaker 3: that time. This was a couple months ago, and with
- 2:16Speaker 3: all that it's doing now, maybe not bitcoin, but there
- 2:20Speaker 3: is stable coins here. You don't think that China is
- 2:23Speaker 3: softening its stance towards accepting this mode of digital currency.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Well, I mean, if you phrase it like that, then
- 2:30Speaker 4: most certainly it is softening its approach to the space
- 2:35Speaker 4: in terms of real policy. I don't anticipate that occurring
- 2:39Speaker 4: anytime in the near future.
- 2:40Speaker 1: One of the things that will happen, though, is in
- 2:43Speaker 1: the IPO space, and the opportunity of seeing some major
- 2:47Speaker 1: moves in IPO's onboarding, like what we've seen in the
- 2:50Speaker 1: crypto space, could move a lot of money over. So
- 2:53Speaker 1: take a look at this clip. This breaks it down
- 2:55Speaker 1: of why the big tech may suffer.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Because we have four IPO offerings this week. Dates are
- 3:00Speaker 3: finally perhaps opening.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Well I wouldn't quite call it bloodgates, but I do
- 3:04Speaker 5: think that we're seeing a good opening here, and we're
- 3:06Speaker 5: seeing it both on the crypto side, as you point out,
- 3:08Speaker 5: I mean, circles up almost six x, and there are
- 3:11Speaker 5: a lot of things I'm cautious about in the crypto space.
- 3:15Speaker 5: But with that kind of performance, I think you're going
- 3:16Speaker 5: to see others try to hurry up and hit this window.
- 3:19Speaker 5: I think it's going to be the growing dispersion of
- 3:22Speaker 5: performance in big tech. You know, I was on your
- 3:24Speaker 5: show this week last year and was more bullish on
- 3:27Speaker 5: Microsoft and Amazon and more skeptical about Apple. Amazon is
- 3:31Speaker 5: up twenty five percent, Microsoft's up fifteen percent, Apple's down
- 3:35Speaker 5: five percent, And I think that's a continuing trend, all right, So.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I think he's right. I think we are setting up
- 3:42Speaker 1: for maybe a renaissance within some of these early stage IPOs.
- 3:46Speaker 1: One of the ones that obviously we are watching much
- 3:48Speaker 1: like what we saw in the performance of Circle is XRP.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Well we'll call it Ripple because Ripple's IPO is happening.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Will it happen in twenty twenty five is the real question.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And if it does, if you look at some of
- 4:00Speaker 1: what the value the valuation could be. I mean this
- 4:04Speaker 1: could be one hundred million dollar company. It would essentially
- 4:06Speaker 1: be the most valuable company, especially in the crypto space
- 4:09Speaker 1: by leaps and bounds, and the number one strategic reserve
- 4:13Speaker 1: asset holder of the token XRP, so that one still
- 4:17Speaker 1: plays into it very strong. Going back to China and
- 4:21Speaker 1: what their strategy is. If you look at their sandbox participants,
- 4:23Speaker 1: this of course is the group right here, the ones
- 4:25Speaker 1: still watch a course or standard charter and Atamoca this
- 4:28Speaker 1: is also tied in to ripple And I want to
- 4:31Speaker 1: play a clip from the rd Inno tech guy because
- 4:33Speaker 1: this will explain a little bit more about how this
- 4:35Speaker 1: is going to work. Take a look, how.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Are you involved in the stable coin bill?
- 4:39Speaker 6: So we actually help a lot of potential issuers setting
- 4:43Speaker 6: up their system and the operation right now.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Do you think that the Hong Kong stable coin and
- 4:47Speaker 3: the EC and why will help facilitate cross border trade?
- 4:51Speaker 6: Actually, I don't think so because once they involve costs
- 4:56Speaker 6: border with Menlan, it's really really tricky and the really
- 5:00Speaker 6: really complicate. He's saying on why won't be circulating outside
- 5:04Speaker 6: China Hong Kong, you should a stap con won't be
- 5:07Speaker 6: able circulating inside China, so there's no way they can't
- 5:10Speaker 6: do that. But the within their ecosystem under they pack
- 5:15Speaker 6: with their STAP con with the offshore and beyond through
- 5:19Speaker 6: that channel to facilitating some cost border settlements everything, I
- 5:23Speaker 6: think it is possible, all right.
- 5:24Speaker 1: So what he's getting at is they won't mix between
- 5:27Speaker 1: the stable coins being China and mainland Hong Kong of
- 5:31Speaker 1: course one of the biggest markets out there. And to
- 5:32Speaker 1: his point, this is a good example right here, Hong
- 5:35Speaker 1: Kong hosts around seventy percent of global offshore you on trading,
- 5:40Speaker 1: so they're essentially the line's share of the market, and
- 5:42Speaker 1: they're talking about cross border payments. Here is this possibly
- 5:46Speaker 1: where Ripple slides in here as the supplier to cross
- 5:49Speaker 1: border payments. If you go back to September of twenty sixteen,
- 5:53Speaker 1: this is where it started to play out around the
- 5:55Speaker 1: Standard Charter strategic investment into Ripple. All this starts to
- 6:00Speaker 1: put the dominoes into play, and it's been going for
- 6:02Speaker 1: quite some time. Fast forward to today and you go
- 6:05Speaker 1: over to this article right here, Standard Charter pitoles pilots
- 6:08Speaker 1: the Ripple platform to address cross border payment frictions. This,
- 6:12Speaker 1: of course is just around July, just a couple of
- 6:14Speaker 1: weeks ago. Now, of course standard charter predicting that XRP
- 6:18Speaker 1: could hit twelve fifty by twenty twenty eight. So again
- 6:21Speaker 1: this is all again tied into legal clarity, the potential
- 6:25Speaker 1: for cross border payments, tied into what's happening with the
- 6:27Speaker 1: remember and again stable coins now running potentially wild in Asia.
- 6:33Speaker 1: On another note, if you look at and B and Y,
- 6:36Speaker 1: this of course is the potential where it could be.
- 6:39Speaker 1: This the custody arm of how offshore R and B
- 6:43Speaker 1: could play into this. So again more this course all
- 6:46Speaker 1: centered around what they're doing in terms of accelerating their
- 6:49Speaker 1: digital assets platform. While B and Y has now has
- 6:53Speaker 1: custody of Ripples new stable coin. This is our LUSD. Now,
- 6:56Speaker 1: one thing I want to note on is this clip
- 6:58Speaker 1: right here, because this gets into how mainland China's stable
- 7:01Speaker 1: coin might actually be allowed to take a.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Look, Hong Kong has started trials to allow mainland residents
- 7:08Speaker 3: to purchase stable coins. Do you think that this is
- 7:11Speaker 3: an encouraging sign?
- 7:13Speaker 6: Personally, I think they should allow manufators to purchase stepcon.
- 7:19Speaker 6: I mean, because there's only seven million people in Hong Kong,
- 7:23Speaker 6: so that will become a much bigger market. But in
- 7:26Speaker 6: order to do that, actually there's a lot problem you
- 7:29Speaker 6: need to solve. The first one, cap I say, actually
- 7:32Speaker 6: we are helping hung On to do that. So any
- 7:34Speaker 6: small medium company come here, click button, they can issue
- 7:37Speaker 6: their own a step con under regulation. Another one is
- 7:40Speaker 6: we also set up we want to link all the
- 7:43Speaker 6: stepcom issues in Hong Kong with global stepcon together, so
- 7:46Speaker 6: which means you can swap between them and you can
- 7:49Speaker 6: basically pay each other costs different step coins. So I
- 7:53Speaker 6: think with those three set up, it will form the
- 7:57Speaker 6: infrastructure so the management tool of of private key we
- 8:01Speaker 6: will become very popular daily app for everyone in next
- 8:06Speaker 6: to three for five years, all right.
- 8:08Speaker 1: So you can see there's an adoption layer that's starting
- 8:10Speaker 1: to you know, brew within Asia. If you think about
- 8:13Speaker 1: some of the companies that are going to try to
- 8:15Speaker 1: take part in this next generation economy structure around crypto,
- 8:20Speaker 1: one of the ones you got to watch is an
- 8:22Speaker 1: Asian company called Anamoga Brands. We've had yatsu On before.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Animoka Brands targets a six billion dollar us IPO. This,
- 8:30Speaker 1: of course, again is all coming in because of the
- 8:31Speaker 1: pro crypto shift that we've had here in the US,
- 8:34Speaker 1: and Animoka has done something that is a little bit
- 8:37Speaker 1: different than a lot of companies do when they launch
- 8:41Speaker 1: products and services, and I think they're going to do
- 8:42Speaker 1: that with their IPO, and that is they kind of
- 8:45Speaker 1: sandbag a little bit, if you know what I mean.
- 8:47Speaker 1: They come in a little bit softer. But let me
- 8:49Speaker 1: play this clip for you. It'll show you a little
- 8:51Speaker 1: bit more.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Building culture is one of the hardest things in any organization.
- 8:54Speaker 2: We're over a thousand people, so managing the culture across
- 8:57Speaker 2: the board is always a challenge. You know, we were listed,
- 8:59Speaker 2: we were listing did a public company in Australia and
- 9:02Speaker 2: we were given a choice in twenty nineteen stay a
- 9:05Speaker 2: public company on an Australian Stock Exchange or basically a
- 9:08Speaker 2: dumb crypto. Normally, when you get delisted from any stock exchange,
- 9:14Speaker 2: it's the end of a business. We chose to stay
- 9:16Speaker 2: with Crypto and we got delisted from the Australian Stock Exchange.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Kind of demonstrates the extent of our conviction this was
- 9:22Speaker 2: something worth sacrificing for, all right.
- 9:25Speaker 1: So that of course is Yachtsucio, Animoka Brands and the
- 9:29Speaker 1: thing that he's getting first of all that is the
- 9:30Speaker 1: biggest mistake ever by the Australian Stock Exchange in delisting
- 9:35Speaker 1: Animoka Brands now, which will probably be one of the
- 9:39Speaker 1: biggest listenings here in the United States. And if you
- 9:41Speaker 1: look at their history all the way back to their
- 9:44Speaker 1: Moca Verse NFT launch, they did this at a very
- 9:47Speaker 1: low rate to where all it looks like is straight
- 9:51Speaker 1: up with these NFTs. And if you think about every
- 9:53Speaker 1: company that Animoka is involved in, which is massive, this
- 9:57Speaker 1: is an example right here's Mocha Verse. The tokens in
- 10:00Speaker 1: the NFTs were free to everybody. So what it looks
- 10:02Speaker 1: like in this comparison and in fact is is just
- 10:06Speaker 1: straight up. And if this is the case where they
- 10:09Speaker 1: don't list at a high valuation, it might give a
- 10:12Speaker 1: lot of people an opportunity to get in on a
- 10:15Speaker 1: major move in the market, like what we saw with circles.
- 10:18Speaker 1: So pay attention to what, when, and what Animal Brands
- 10:23Speaker 1: is doing. On another note, I want to jump to
- 10:25Speaker 1: this right here, and this is NFTs sliding into treasuries.
- 10:29Speaker 1: And what I mean by that is, look at what
- 10:31Speaker 1: is happening right now in the eighth circle. We're seeing
- 10:34Speaker 1: all sorts of companies. Eth Machine just launched this week.
- 10:37Speaker 1: We saw the amount of move that we've seen with
- 10:40Speaker 1: Sharplink Gaming, you know Tom Lee's group. This is an
- 10:43Speaker 1: acceleration point. And now Tom Lee, of course, you know,
- 10:45Speaker 1: putting a pengu on his avatar within X shows that
- 10:50Speaker 1: we're going to see the kind of acceleration maybe into
- 10:52Speaker 1: NFTs that we're seeing within Ethereum. So that in itself
- 10:55Speaker 1: also plays into all of these companies that could be
- 11:00Speaker 1: making their next strategic move, one of which is Animoka
- 11:03Speaker 1: Brands making their strategic investment in Pudging Penguins. Pengu the token,
- 11:09Speaker 1: so pengu and Pudgy Penguin's likelihood of another company that
- 11:13Speaker 1: could be going IPO under the Animoka brands, So watch
- 11:17Speaker 1: out for that one. If you look at just pengu
- 11:19Speaker 1: In general, right, here's the high back on its launch
- 11:22Speaker 1: back in December of last year and now just starting
- 11:25Speaker 1: to hit its trend. This is up ten x from
- 11:28Speaker 1: it's low. So consider this, guys. If we see pengu
- 11:32Speaker 1: start to really do something big in the market, and
- 11:35Speaker 1: in fact we see maybe an IPO, this token itself
- 11:39Speaker 1: could get very interesting going forward. I want to play
- 11:42Speaker 1: a clip by Lucaett's and he's explaining how he thinks
- 11:45Speaker 1: they're going to flip. Ohsee coin, take a look.
- 11:48Speaker 7: Everything changed when the CBOE picked us up. That's why
- 11:51Speaker 7: it was such a big deal. Does that when the
- 11:53Speaker 7: CBOE picks it up, it means that an exchange is
- 11:56Speaker 7: willing to put their name on it and actually put
- 11:58Speaker 7: like some sort of credibility on the line. Wow, So
- 12:01Speaker 7: Doge is the only other mean coin picked up by
- 12:03Speaker 7: the CBOE. Oh wow, there's only ten coins.
- 12:06Speaker 8: That got to pick up by the CBOE and they're
- 12:07Speaker 8: all north of five billion bucks. The bet that I'm
- 12:10Speaker 8: making is this, I'm making the bet that when those
- 12:13Speaker 8: green candles start ripping and Mania starts ripping that little
- 12:17Speaker 8: those fractions, because there's still fractions in everyone's wallet, I'm
- 12:20Speaker 8: going after the big kahuna. I'm going after Doge. Dude,
- 12:23Speaker 8: before the market.
- 12:24Speaker 7: Gave out, Kevin, like the thing was up into the
- 12:27Speaker 7: right dude, up until Trump and Milania we gonna we
- 12:30Speaker 7: were gonna go flip shit. We were right there, dude.
- 12:34Speaker 7: You put me in like a real all coin season. Bro,
- 12:37Speaker 7: We've never seen that pro.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I love, I love Look, I mean, listen, this
- 12:43Speaker 1: is something you guys have to pay attention to because
- 12:46Speaker 1: if you compare holding an NFT to holding Ethereum, you
- 12:50Speaker 1: could go back here all the way back in June
- 12:52Speaker 1: of twenty two holding it less than an eighth right
- 12:55Speaker 1: there to where it's trading right now at over fifteen.
- 12:58Speaker 1: So that's a good example of why this phenomenon might
- 13:02Speaker 1: take place. Other points I want to get into is
- 13:05Speaker 1: that there's one more company to watch right here. It's
- 13:07Speaker 1: not Calshy, but they are a valued at two billion
- 13:10Speaker 1: in their latest funding round. The one to watch right
- 13:13Speaker 1: here is going to be Polymarket. There's a reason why
- 13:16Speaker 1: I want to go to a clip real quick. This
- 13:18Speaker 1: will explain a little bit more. Take a look Coping.
- 13:20Speaker 9: Good morning to you, sir, Thank you guys for having me.
- 13:23Speaker 9: So round two, Round two.
- 13:25Speaker 4: You're back here in the US.
- 13:26Speaker 6: This has been this has been the dream.
- 13:28Speaker 9: Long time coming.
- 13:28Speaker 6: We talk about Polymarket.
- 13:30Speaker 4: As if everybody can use it, but the truth is
- 13:32Speaker 4: that most folks couldn't.
- 13:34Speaker 9: I mean, I think the way you guys talk about
- 13:36Speaker 9: Palme markets kind of like become the Bloomberg terminal for
- 13:38Speaker 9: reality almost And so what happens now, Obviously, I think
- 13:42Speaker 9: people are pretty surprised. It's like a big acquisition. So
- 13:44Speaker 9: it's an exchange and a clearinghouse. You know that lets
- 13:47Speaker 9: us go and serve brokerages and fcms as well as
- 13:50Speaker 9: retail and institutions. It's really important. They all know and
- 13:53Speaker 9: love poly Market. When I get to meet DC people,
- 13:55Speaker 9: they say, oh my god, pallyme market. It's amazing, but
- 13:57Speaker 9: I wish we could trade on poly market, asking you
- 14:00Speaker 9: receive right.
- 14:00Speaker 4: So how much does this compete with Calshie?
- 14:07Speaker 1: Okay, all right, So as you can see right there,
- 14:09Speaker 1: I mean Shane Copeland having a little bit of fun
- 14:11Speaker 1: there with the guys over at CNBC. Point being is
- 14:14Speaker 1: that polymarket is primed for a move. Poly Market's going
- 14:18Speaker 1: to lost to stable coin prediction market. Of course, that
- 14:22Speaker 1: in itself will start to be interesting because if they
- 14:24Speaker 1: start to weigh in on yield generating US dollars and
- 14:28Speaker 1: they start to make that available back to their community guys,
- 14:33Speaker 1: this would have major effect on some of the biggest
- 14:36Speaker 1: companies publicly traded companies out there, like DraftKings immediately, and
- 14:41Speaker 1: that is something that you have to watch and don't
- 14:42Speaker 1: forget that Polymarket now coming into the US could go
- 14:47Speaker 1: head to head with Calshie for Robin Hood's business as
- 14:50Speaker 1: well as others and many other training platforms that could
- 14:53Speaker 1: go in this direction around some of these platforms like Polymarket.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So those are the four that we're watching. We think
- 15:00Speaker 1: those are the four that are going to make the
- 15:01Speaker 1: most impact on the crypto universe as a whole and
- 15:05Speaker 1: most likely start to lure in traditional investments. So if
- 15:10Speaker 1: you guys are not part of the Diamond Circle, get
- 15:12Speaker 1: in right now. It's a great place to get additional
- 15:13Speaker 1: content from us. Follow me on x at Paul Baron.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I'll catch you next time right here on The Paul
- 15:18Speaker 1: Baron Show.
