Speaker 1: This is uh Acts chapter twenty one. We're coming at

Speaker 1: you from the New King James. We're gonna pick it

Speaker 1: up from verse twenty six. We see the travels of Paul.

Speaker 1: Paul was determined to go to Jerusalem. Now here's the

Speaker 1: thing about this chapter. Paul has spent a majority of

Speaker 1: his career running from the Jews. He had to flee

Speaker 1: for his life. He even told the Jews that he

Speaker 1: will for now one go to the Gentiles, that their

Speaker 1: blood is no longer on his hands. He did all

Speaker 1: he could to minister to them and to warn them.

Speaker 1: Now he's on his way back to Jerusalem, and some

Speaker 1: of the Jews that he fled from are there. He's

Speaker 1: gonna encounter them once again. And not only that, he

Speaker 1: wrote letters right because the Jews, even the Jewish believers

Speaker 1: who didn't know better, they were trying to introduce the

Speaker 1: Law of Moses on the people, and he refuted that.

Speaker 1: But here he comes to Jerusalem because he wanted to

Speaker 1: fulfill the law. Now, the last episode we talked about

Speaker 1: that this is wisdom, right, is wise for us to

Speaker 1: lay down any offense, write any unnecessary offenses. The Gospel

Speaker 1: is offensive enough. Jesus tells the whole world that were evil.

Speaker 1: Some people take offense to that. Well, that's the truth.

Speaker 1: He testifies that we are all evil, we are all sinful,

Speaker 1: and we need a savior. Amen. And so he didn't

Speaker 1: want to offend the Jews. So he is going to

Speaker 1: observe some of the law of Moses, the rights of

Speaker 1: the temple. Here. We're gonna get into that in a minute.

Speaker 1: This is where everything happens. So this is where we

Speaker 1: pick up in the story. In verse twenty six, it

Speaker 1: says in Paul took the men in the next day,

Speaker 1: having been purified, with them, entered the temple to announce

Speaker 1: the expiration of the days of purification, at which time

Speaker 1: an offering should be made for each one of them. Amen.

Speaker 1: So Paul took the men and the next day havn't

Speaker 1: been purified. Paul participates in this Jewish custom right here,

Speaker 1: but he's not doing it for salvation, but to avoid

Speaker 1: a necessary offense and also to show unity. Now let's

Speaker 1: be clear here, Paul doesn't compromise truth, not one bit.

Speaker 1: But Paul is walking in wisdom, He's showing wisdom. He

Speaker 1: has a heart to reach his Jewish brothers and sisters. Right,

Speaker 1: this was a cultural thing, not a spiritual thing. He

Speaker 1: didn't do this in order to be saved. And Paul

Speaker 1: stands on that. Now twenty seven now, when the Seven

Speaker 1: Days were almost ended, the Jews from Asia, if we remember,

Speaker 1: he had to flee for his life from Asia. Seeing

Speaker 1: him in the temples, stirred up the whole crowd and

Speaker 1: laid hands on him. Now, this is getting deep beloved.

Speaker 1: Opposition comes from those who misunderstand or even from those

Speaker 1: who reject truth. Now, let's break it down. Even when

Speaker 1: you're trying to do the right thing, even when you're

Speaker 1: obeying and living in obedience and doing what God has

Speaker 1: called you to do, people will still come against you.

Speaker 1: And I can say this, I can testify this even

Speaker 1: with my ministry, with opening a Christian club in Las Vegas,

Speaker 1: I was surprised how many people were upset, and the

Speaker 1: people that were mainly upset were the people from the church,

Speaker 1: the religious people, and I'm finally getting to a point.

Speaker 1: It was a fight for me to get to that

Speaker 1: point in my walk with God. I will share my testimony,

Speaker 1: but my heart was to evangelize and reach the people.

Speaker 1: I wasn't necessarily trying to, you know, embark on a

Speaker 1: rap career. Right, But it comes with the territory, is

Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say. I actually live this. I

Speaker 1: can relate to Paul, not to this degree. It could

Speaker 1: have been now that I look in scripture. But in

Speaker 1: this opposition, it wasn't random. It was stirred up. It

Speaker 1: was intentional. These people pursued and persecuted Paul in Asia.

Speaker 1: Now look at it. They're crying out, men of Israel, help,

Speaker 1: They're asking for help, They're asking to be unified. This

Speaker 1: is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people,

Speaker 1: law and this place. And furthermore, he also brought Greeks

Speaker 1: into the temple and has defiled this holy place. Now

Speaker 1: these are serious accusations, right. Opposition, like we said, comes

Speaker 1: from misunderstanding. But not only that, this was assumption on

Speaker 1: their part. These are false accusations. Paul. At this point

Speaker 1: was misrepresented. Now this is dangerous because lies can spread fast.

Speaker 1: You need to be careful who you listen to and

Speaker 1: even what information you're passing on. Are you participating in

Speaker 1: a lie when you repeat something that you just heard,

Speaker 1: especially something that you had no involvement in. They accused

Speaker 1: him of teaching against the people, breaking the law of Moses,

Speaker 1: and defiling the temple, and none of those accusations were true.

Speaker 1: Now as I look back and I could see they say, hindsight,

Speaker 1: it's twenty twenty that there were accusations against me when

Speaker 1: I was operating the club, that I was just using

Speaker 1: the local artists to bring a crowd for the out

Speaker 1: of town artists, like you know, using them as if
12:48
Speaker 1: you know, they were lesser or treated lower than the
12:52
Speaker 1: artists that came from out of state. And none of
12:57
Speaker 1: this is true, but as a gesture of hospitality right

Speaker 1: the local in the local artists where the up and

Speaker 1: coming artists that out of state artists had a bigger following.

Speaker 1: But you would think that you would still want to

Speaker 1: bring your people as many people as you can as

Speaker 1: a local artist for one to minister, and also that

Speaker 1: looks good on your resume that you were in a

Speaker 1: show with a bigger artist, you know. But I mean

Speaker 1: not even that, not to bring up all the past,

Speaker 1: but the fact that no one sat down and spoke

Speaker 1: to me. This is stuff that I'm hearing, like rumors

Speaker 1: that are going around, like somebody misunderstood or misinterpreted. And

Speaker 1: even if it was a problem, let's talk. We can

Speaker 1: rearrange the show. If you want to go at the end,

Speaker 1: I mean. You really gotta have the goods if you're

Speaker 1: And so I can understand this where people misrepresent you

Speaker 1: like this, Amen verse twenty nine. For they had previously

Speaker 1: seen Trump FEUs the Ephesian with him in the city,

Speaker 1: whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple. Now,

Speaker 1: their accusation was based on assumption, not fact. That's the

Speaker 1: point that I was trying to make. Now, trust me,

Speaker 1: I forgive I love my city, I love everybody that

Speaker 1: I ministered with over the years at the club and

Speaker 1: on this platform. So I'm not bringing this up to

Speaker 1: bring up drama, this or that or the other. But

Speaker 1: this is the portion of scripture that we so happened

Speaker 1: to be in. And I could use real life examples

Speaker 1: because I live this. That be careful when it comes

Speaker 1: to making assumptions. If somebody brings something to you, start

Speaker 1: looking for the facts, right, that's the key. They didn't know.

Speaker 1: They just assumed, and that assumption led to chaos. And

Speaker 1: if you are a friend, if you're supposed to be

Speaker 1: a friend, don't let people talk about your friend in

Speaker 1: front of you if somebody comes up to you and

Speaker 1: start talking, especially if it's your pastor or a spiritual

Speaker 1: leader in the ministry. Because we can't be ignorant of

Speaker 1: how the enemy works. We know that the enemy is

Speaker 1: a divider, he's a liar, he works with gossip. Gossip

Speaker 1: is singings rad station. Right, it looks like another one.

Speaker 1: What you do is, well, let's if somebody comes to

Speaker 1: me and talks to me about you, I'm gonna be like, okay, well,

Speaker 1: let's go get my boy on the phone or my sister.

Speaker 1: Let's get them on the phone, or let's have a

Speaker 1: meeting with them. Let's talk to them face to face.

Speaker 1: Let's get to the facts and watch them run like cowards. See,

Speaker 1: they won't go to the person and confront them or

Speaker 1: talk it out. No, they want to talk behind your back.

Speaker 1: They just want to spread malicious rumors and lies that

Speaker 1: can destroy a ministry, that can destroy a divided church,

Speaker 1: that can disrupt the hand in the work of God.

Speaker 1: Just think. I always think back, like, let's say, if

Speaker 1: we still had the support that we started out with

Speaker 1: with the club, we would still be open today. And

Speaker 1: think of how many thousands of people who could have

Speaker 1: gotten saved and who could be in the kingdom because

Speaker 1: of your small support just showing up to the show,

Speaker 1: where donating or sharing us or just being a supporter.

Speaker 1: You know, why why go through all the trouble to

Speaker 1: shut it down, to destroy it, or to come against it? Amen?

Speaker 1: And I'm just you know, who benefits from that? Ultimately?

Speaker 1: I don't know. I guess I'm venting a little bit.

Speaker 1: portion of scripture, by permission of the Holy Spirit, I

Speaker 1: fun I mean, I love it, it's fulfilling, but if

Speaker 1: you're not called to it, I wouldn't even play with it.

Speaker 1: Because the battle is real. Amen, where are we at?

Speaker 1: And all the city was disturred and the people ran

Speaker 1: together seize Paul and dragged them out of the temple,

Speaker 1: and immediately the doors were shut. Now, I am thankful

Speaker 1: that no one dragged me out as a club. Yeah,

Speaker 1: that would have been crazy getting dragged out the club

Speaker 1: and their doors were shut. I guess in a way

Speaker 1: you could say it was, because it's in another testimony,

Speaker 1: But there was some thievery that happened to where I

Speaker 1: did get it. I had to close the club down,

Speaker 1: the building down, So I guess you could say in
18:44
Speaker 1: a way I was dragged out the club, right, And
18:48
Speaker 1: also my decisions as well, financial decisions, and man, I'm

Speaker 1: gonna make a book, but there was some compromise on

Speaker 1: my end towards the end I would admit I was

Speaker 1: wrong as well, where the Lord shut that door and

Speaker 1: closed down the club as well. Amen. And since then

Speaker 1: I've repented and acknowledged my sin, and the Lord gives

Speaker 1: me that opportunity again. Amen, it'll be We're going to

Speaker 1: write it till the wheels fall off. Well, you know,

Speaker 1: I feel led to share. I will share what my

Speaker 1: wrong was and what happened. My partner at the time

Speaker 1: stole some money he started about twenty grand from me,

Speaker 1: and I was left paying everything for the building now

Speaker 1: trying to take care of the family, and I got
19:46
Speaker 1: a five thousand square foot warehouse to take care of.

Speaker 1: And in the midst of it, there were different people

Speaker 1: that I would rent the venue out to, and there

Speaker 1: was this young cat who had some type it was

Speaker 1: like a rave type of a thing. Yes, I'll admit it.

Speaker 1: I allowed this guy to rent out the club for

Speaker 1: a rave. It was like a worldly thing. It was horrible.

Speaker 1: It was alcohol in there, even though I tried to

Speaker 1: control it as much as I could, but I was

Speaker 1: desperate for the money and it was bad. There were

Speaker 1: even people twerking on the cross beloved twerking. Yes, I'm

Speaker 1: being completely transparent towards the end, and this is what

Speaker 1: led me to losing the club because of my immaturity,

Speaker 1: because of the financial situation. Never allow yourself to get
20:49
Speaker 1: so desperate to what you're willing to compromise. And so yeah,

Speaker 1: it was bad. It was bad. I had security. I

Speaker 1: tried to to get you know, my brothers to you know,

Speaker 1: brothers in the Lord, to try to help me control everything,

Speaker 1: and I lost their support. They lost respect for me

Speaker 1: because of it. And so yeah, the police recalled. There

Speaker 1: was alcohol all around the parking lot. Yeah, I'm letting

Speaker 1: it all out now, and yeah, the owner kicked me out.

Speaker 1: He was like, uh, you gotta go. So yeah, you know,

Speaker 1: yeah I lost the club because what started was the

Speaker 1: money that was stolen in the financial situation and being
21:42
Speaker 1: unwise and letting this person I should have known it
21:47
Speaker 1: was an enemy, and it was so bad about it.

Speaker 1: I didn't even get paid, like he's like, they couldn't
21:55
Speaker 1: complete the whole night. So the dude didn't even pay
21:59
Speaker 1: me at the end. So I don't know if he

Speaker 1: paid a deposit, I don't know what. And so I

Speaker 1: still I didn't get the money and I lost the club.

Speaker 1: So yeah, I was gonna put that in the book,

Speaker 1: but you guys get a preview, and yeah, the Lord

Speaker 1: has been disciplining. He dealt with me, and I've been disciplined,

Speaker 1: and yeah, that's why I do not have a building

Speaker 1: at this moment. And amen, please keep me in prayer

Speaker 1: and pray for my character to where, hey, if I

Speaker 1: don't have the money, I will just turn to my

Speaker 1: faith right and allow God to sustain it. Because He

Speaker 1: sustained it for seven years. Right, There's no way I

Speaker 1: could have paid for that building for seven years on
22:52
Speaker 1: my own. God sustained it. But towards the end, I
22:55
Speaker 1: had a lapse of faith. I was taking out paidy

Speaker 1: loans to keep the ministry going. That should have been

Speaker 1: a red flag right there. At that point, I really

Speaker 1: didn't have the pastor that I have now to help

Speaker 1: me with these decisions and to guide. Oh know, so

Speaker 1: I don't know why I'm going through this rabbit trail,

Speaker 1: but yeah, in this episode, Yeah, you guys got it.

Speaker 1: I was gonna lead this part for the book. I'll

Speaker 1: But amen, So where we at. Let's get back to

Speaker 1: this Bible study verse thirty and all the city were disturbed, Amen,

Speaker 1: I think that's where he left off. All the city

Speaker 1: was disturbed, and the people ran together and seized Paul

Speaker 1: and dragged him out. Yep. Now this is the mob

Speaker 1: mentality that took over. Truth was no longer the focus.

Speaker 1: They were not trying to get the facts. They were

Speaker 1: just a mob mentality, and this is what happened. And

Speaker 1: emotions lead instead of the truth. Amen, when you allow

Speaker 1: your emotions to lead, which is what I did by

Speaker 1: renting the club out right to a rave, it caused

Speaker 1: confusion and chaos, and I just prayed that I didn't

Speaker 1: blow my witness too bad. I pray that I didn't

Speaker 1: turn people from the Gospel because of that. That's why

Speaker 1: I've been ashamed that I've been. I didn't share this,

Speaker 1: you know, earlier, because I was, you know, convicted, you know,

Speaker 1: club his hob. You're supposed to stand for Christ and

Speaker 1: not compromise, and yes there was compromise in that moment.

Speaker 1: But that shows you right there we got to rely

Speaker 1: on God and not rely on man. Amen. Or so

Speaker 1: you're going Now, as they were seeking to kill him,

Speaker 1: news came to the commander of the garrison that all

Speaker 1: Jerusalem was in an uproar. Wow. Now at this point

Speaker 1: God intervenes through the Roman authority. The Roman soldiers protected Paul. Now,

Speaker 1: praise God for this. Even in attack, he still covers. Amen,

Speaker 1: they wanted him dead. If they could have killed Paul,
25:31
Speaker 1: they would have killed him right there at that moment.

Speaker 1: But God was not done with Paul. God still wanted

Speaker 1: to use Paul Verse thirty two. He immediately took soldiers

Speaker 1: in centurions and ran down to them. And when they
25:57
Speaker 1: saw the commander and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.

Speaker 1: And then the commander came near and took him and

Speaker 1: commanded him to be bound with two chains. And he

Speaker 1: asked who he was and what he had done. Man,

Speaker 1: this is real now. He immediately took soldiers and centurions

Speaker 1: and ran down to them. This was quick intervention right

Speaker 1: here where he had to stop the mob from killing Paul.

Speaker 1: They were trying to take this man's life. God stepped

Speaker 1: in fast. It was quick, it was swift. Just when

Speaker 1: it looked like it was over, he interrupts the situation. Amen, hallelujah,

Speaker 1: And I'm gonna speak that over my ministry. Just when

Speaker 1: it looks like it's over, God is going to reopen

Speaker 1: Then the commander came near and took him and commanded

Speaker 1: him to be bound with two chains. Now check this out.

Speaker 1: This is the fulfillment of prophecy. Remember, They prophesied that

Speaker 1: Paul would be bound when he was traveling and he

Speaker 1: would meet the brothers and the disciples in other areas

Speaker 1: and they would tell them not to go. This is
