- 0:00One second can. I start Can I start my fancy
- 0:06intro about Gigi or should I wait?
- 0:09One second. OK, So I want them to be able to
- 0:15see this completely. Let me see.
- 0:22OK, One second, one second, one second and pause the music and
- 0:28then I'm going to get them to be able to see.
- 0:34Let me see one SEC. OK.
- 1:00We're good to go. Yes, all.
- 1:04Right. Hey, everybody, welcome to the
- 1:07live stream. Welcome to the basement.
- 1:08We have a special guest today, our friend Gigi.
- 1:12She's an influential figure in the world of cryptocurrency and
- 1:16meme coins. She's been a big supporter of me
- 1:19and of the Unicorn fart does project from literally day one.
- 1:24She's someone who I respect, someone who I trust, someone
- 1:27who's very smart. And also I spent two days with
- 1:30her at an event at for Ledger in Paris.
- 1:34She's a very kind hearted person.
- 1:35Gigi, welcome to Ron's basement. Welcome to the UFD daily live
- 1:39stream. Can you hear me?
- 1:45Yes, thank you so much. I'm I'm here, I'm here.
- 1:49Sorry, I was figuring out my my mute my audio.
- 1:52Yeah, we've got we've got all kinds of the live streaming is
- 1:54always, you know, an adventure, right?
- 1:56I know you just finished a stream and I think are
- 1:59continuing to stream it. So thank you so much for joining
- 2:02us, Gigi. Yes, I'm so happy to be here.
- 2:06Yeah. So, so you are in looks like
- 2:09you're maybe up in Alaska with all that snow in the background.
- 2:12Where? Where are you right now?
- 2:15Yeah, it's so cold here and I'm kidding.
- 2:17I mean, I'm currently in Hawaii, so I'm I'm very happy about
- 2:20that. Actually.
- 2:24Give me, give me two seconds. This is what I'm going to do.
- 2:26I'm going to take this off and I'm just going to listen to you
- 2:29directly, OK? OK, sounds great.
- 2:35Cool. Can you hear me now?
- 2:39OK. Audios coming through.
- 2:44Yes, let me see. I don't know why this is trying
- 2:54to hear you through my normal mic.
- 2:57Yeah. Can you hear me now, OK?
- 3:00Anyway, so I'll just hear you through this.
- 3:01It's fine. Yeah, Yep, you sound great.
- 3:04Your audio on my end is awesome. OK, that's good.
- 3:08Yeah, yeah. So Gigi, you discovered Unicorn
- 3:12fart dust on day one. You and I have known each other
- 3:16for over a whole year now. But you know, you, you're a
- 3:20person who's respected, who is very active and fluential in the
- 3:24world of crypto. How did you get there?
- 3:27Do you mind telling us a little bit about your back story?
- 3:29I'm curious to hear kind of where you started and and how
- 3:33that led to where you are today. Yeah.
- 3:37So it was there. It was like, I would say it's
- 3:39like different than maybe like most people.
- 3:41I started back in. Do you hear me?
- 3:44Yeah, I hear you. Great.
- 3:45Yeah. OK, I started back in, sorry.
- 3:50I started like in crypto back in 2017 was my initial like buy in
- 3:55crypto. So I bought Ethereum back then.
- 3:57I had some friends that were doing really, really well.
- 4:01They took me to a crypto convention and they just told me
- 4:04buy this and they were rich. So I was like OK, I'm going to
- 4:08do it. But I didn't really get involved
- 4:10fully until 2020. And even like 2021 was when I
- 4:15actually got into crypto Twitter, which is apparently a
- 4:18whole new section of of crypto and community.
- 4:22So at that time I was a software engineer, very happy with being
- 4:28a software engineer pretty much. And my friends started learning
- 4:32about NFTS and I, because I was a stuffer engineer, they asked
- 4:36me to like build a smart contract, which is how you
- 4:39created NFTS. And that was kind of how I
- 4:41started getting and falling in love with the technology more
- 4:46than the use case because I, I didn't really care about like a
- 4:49lot of the functions of the NFT, like the flex factor, whatever.
- 4:52That used to be the main thing promoted.
- 4:55And then throughout that I started doing education.
- 4:58So I've been doing education in crypto since 2021.
- 5:01I've been doing advance for women in crypto as well, like or
- 5:04just like women allies since 2021.
- 5:09But I would say even though I've, I've been doing the thing
- 5:13since that long and I was even hosting spaces since 2021 and
- 5:17everything, it wasn't really until probably like 2023-2024
- 5:23that I actually started like feeling comfortable with, you
- 5:27know, like the things that I like, like trading and even
- 5:31speaking about it because it's always had such a negative
- 5:33connotation to be someone who likes me going some who trades
- 5:37versus holding. And it's, yeah, but I mean from,
- 5:41from, since back then, like I've been a speaker at the United
- 5:45Nations, I spoken at consensus. I think there was one year I
- 5:48spoke at like 15 public events, including colleges about like
- 5:52blockchain and the use cases. So I've, I've been around, I
- 5:55feel like I'm, I'm like, I'm old.
- 5:57I'm I'm old and crook though. Well, you don't, you don't look
- 6:00old, that's for sure. I think, I think I take the, the
- 6:03award in that, in that regard, You know, when you talked about
- 6:07how you kind of got interested in crypto, was it the like the
- 6:11opportunity for average people? That's one thing that really
- 6:15excited me was when I, you know, I knew nothing about crypto when
- 6:18I first met you, as you well know, you know, I had never
- 6:22owned a crypto. I thought I knew a little bit
- 6:25about crypto before I started UFD, but honestly, I didn't know
- 6:28anything. And as I learned, one of the
- 6:30things that really excited me was that this is like an equal
- 6:34fair opportunity for people all over the world and, and do it.
- 6:38Do I sense that maybe you feel the same way?
- 6:40Like, it's a new frontier, a new horizon, but it's also like like
- 6:45a a, a, a fair and level playing field for people.
- 6:49Yeah, yeah, yeah, I definitely OK, Sorry, sorry.
- 6:57I was making sure. Yeah.
- 6:58I think, I think for me that was like the first, the first use
- 7:00case. I was like, OK, it's an equal
- 7:02playing field. And I did feel like there was a
- 7:05lot of people that had like, you know, had a had an advantage,
- 7:08right. Because you know, if you're, if
- 7:11you're using the Internet, if you're Internet savvy, if
- 7:14you're, you know, living in a first world type of environment
- 7:18versus a third world type of environment, like right, I come
- 7:21from Venezuela and Venezuela, Venezuelan people are big users
- 7:26of crypto. Like that's how we send money
- 7:28because banks are shut down. You know, I can't send money
- 7:31through a bank from the US to Venezuela.
- 7:35The living wage in Venezuela is fairly low.
- 7:37So people prefer jobs that pay in cryptocurrency.
- 7:41So you know, when we talk back then 2021 AXI Infinity, one of
- 7:46the biggest games, it was feeling like Colombians, Phil
- 7:51Philippines, Venezuelans, like crypto has always been outside
- 7:55of just yeah, it's fun, yes, maybe you can buy something and
- 8:00hold and make a lot of money, whatever, you know, maybe you
- 8:04lose it all. But like outside of all those
- 8:06use cases, I think like just the essence of crypto and lowering
- 8:11that barrier between the world finances system, right?
- 8:16Like I think that's what really excited me in the beginning.
- 8:19I think now obviously I'm still excited about it.
- 8:21I think it's really interesting all the opportunities that we
- 8:24have through crypto, but I think that first level still needs to
- 8:30be there and you still need to care about like onboarding those
- 8:34that crypto might actually be an essential part of their life
- 8:39once they're in it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:41I know. I hear that example all the
- 8:43time, right. But like people that are in the
- 8:45United States that want to send money to their family in
- 8:48countries like Venezuela, Mexico, how much more efficient
- 8:52it is with crypto, right? Like it's faster, it's the the
- 8:57expense associated with it is, is much lower.
- 9:00And that it really is like a true benefit that I think over
- 9:04time, because crypto has a lot of advantages over the Tranfi
- 9:10world, which is where I came from when I realized that I was
- 9:13like, wow, there's, you know, it's going to be really
- 9:16difficult for, for them to stop that, that force that free
- 9:21market force from, from, from keeping crypto adoption, you
- 9:26know, from it just more and more people coming into the world of
- 9:29crypto. It's.
- 9:32It's. Exciting.
- 9:33Yeah. How are you feeling?
- 9:36I feel like you were so early to to the gold and silver world
- 9:40right now. It's such a huge thing.
- 9:43You're also in crypto now. How's your audience?
- 9:47Did you, were you able to onboard some of our crypto
- 9:49people into the gold and silver before this huge pump that
- 9:53happened? You know, I never, even when I
- 9:57was purely gold and silver, I never like, how do I say it?
- 10:01I never gave financial advice. I just talked about what I
- 10:04believed, which was that gold and silver were undervalued,
- 10:08that they were a great store of, of wealth or a good, a great way
- 10:13to store your wealth. And I had a lot of people from
- 10:17the gold and silver community that have that have also now
- 10:21purchased Unicorn fart dust. And I think that that there's a
- 10:25lot of people in crypto as well that it's kind of gone both
- 10:28ways. And you know, those are two
- 10:31asset classes, GG crypto and gold and silver.
- 10:35They're really similar except for the fact that one's digital
- 10:39and one's obviously purely physical.
- 10:42So there's a lot of similarities, but they're also
- 10:45asset classes that were, oh, what's the right word?
- 10:48I don't say look down upon, but a lot of people look down on
- 10:52gold and silver and people that invested in gold and silver.
- 10:56I did it for 20 years and you know, you would get, you know,
- 11:00looked at funny when you talked about gold and silver with your
- 11:02neighbors and similar ish. I think to, although it's
- 11:06changing to, to what I see in crypto now as well.
- 11:11And, and, but yeah, I see a big amount of people that are, and I
- 11:15think it's, it's definitely growing, right?
- 11:17There's, there's some people in the gold and silver community
- 11:20that really dislike crypto. And I think there's maybe some
- 11:22people in crypto that dislike gold and silver.
- 11:25But the divide between the two communities is, is, is is
- 11:31growing smaller and smaller. You know, because both of them
- 11:35basically are not big fans of the Fiat money system.
- 11:40Yeah, I, I, I always think about you when I see all of this.
- 11:44I'm like, look at him. He got into crypto.
- 11:48He has Unicorn for us. He's been in gold and silver run
- 11:52is killing it. Oh, so hi Susie.
- 11:54I see you in the chat. Here, Susie, you may want to say
- 11:58Susie, you want to say hi to Gigi.
- 12:03She may not have her walkie-talkie on, so she'll pop
- 12:06in here in. Walkie-talkie.
- 12:08Yeah, I'm, I'm involved. Sorry.
- 12:15Just turned it on. Hi.
- 12:18But yeah, you know, the goal, I mean that that's where I've
- 12:21always invested. You know, basically I'm in, you
- 12:23know, some junior mining stocks and in the gold and silver
- 12:28sector and Unicorn fart dust. That's UFD is still really, I
- 12:32mean, I'm so focused on it. So when the, you know,
- 12:36traditional financial advisors call me and I tell them they're,
- 12:39you know, they don't know what to say because they're both
- 12:41asset classes that are non traditional.
- 12:45But I think I believe and I know in in my heart, like I believe
- 12:49in crypto, I believe in UFD and I believe in gold and silver.
- 12:52And yeah, but a lot of the gold and silver people have, I think
- 12:57because they trust me. I think that's something about
- 13:01you. That's, that's also, you know, a
- 13:04great attribute that when people trust you, then they're, they're
- 13:08more willing to take a look at, at crypto.
- 13:10So it's, I think it's, I think the next 10 years are going to
- 13:13be exciting for crypto and for the precious metals sector.
- 13:18Yeah, I agree. So I'm excited.
- 13:21I'm excited about it. I want to ask you, Gigi, and I
- 13:26guess I'll, I'll ask this, I'll ask it right now, right.
- 13:29Like you are somebody who I know is very involved with crypto and
- 13:32I think has a great feel for what's going on.
- 13:35What, what do you what, when you think about the crypto world
- 13:38right now? And then I'll ask you about meme
- 13:40coin specifically as well. But how do you feel about what's
- 13:44going on in crypto right now? And as you look out, let's say
- 13:47two to five years, any thoughts on on on what you foresee
- 13:51happening? Honestly, it's I would say so
- 13:55it's the one thing about crypto is that it's so tough.
- 13:58I feel like, you know, if you've been here for a long time, been
- 14:01here for five years, it's kind of like you always have this
- 14:05idea of what is going to happen, right?
- 14:07Like I feel like I've always had this idea and to some extent, a
- 14:11lot of the catalysts we had talked about did happen, right?
- 14:14Like we were here before the government thought crypto was
- 14:19not not even cool, but like legal, right?
- 14:23Like we used to trade mean coins when we thought, hey, maybe
- 14:27maybe mean coins are very illegal.
- 14:29Maybe we are trading commodities right, like we were doing and if
- 14:33these when we thought, hey, maybe this is illegal because
- 14:35maybe this is a commodity that is not like.
- 14:39So having said that, like we kind of bit the leaf in the and
- 14:44the future of crypto and how you know, it is useful for banks,
- 14:47how it's useful for government, how it's useful for storing
- 14:51things in the Internet like, you know, sorry, not in the Internet
- 14:55in the blockchain, like things that should not get lost.
- 14:59Let's say you know you're. For your.
- 15:01House your, your license, whatever it is, right?
- 15:05And we now see so many new chains coming out that are
- 15:09building private networks because a big thing is like,
- 15:13yes, while the Ledger is public, while the blocking is public
- 15:18public Ledger, there should be private networks within that
- 15:24public networks, right? Because I don't want my Social
- 15:27Security stored in a way people can find it, right?
- 15:30So I think we've seen a lot of those things happen.
- 15:34And then now going into mean coins, you know, we have the
- 15:36president of the United States drop a mean point.
- 15:39That's kind of insane. Never in a million years I would
- 15:43have had a big like, if you would tell me, can you like,
- 15:49would this happen? And if this happens, I'll give
- 15:51you $1,000,000. I'd say no, I would say no.
- 15:53Like the president of a, of a country will never drop a
- 15:56meanwhile, we had all these presents dropping inputs, right?
- 15:59So I think we had a very like high momentum, high energy.
- 16:06A lot of people got burned, a lot of people lost a lot of
- 16:09money. And now we are in, you know, a
- 16:12place where we are trying to find our our stepping again
- 16:15because we just got the first like pro crypto president.
- 16:20He has a crypto company. He has like crypto mean going.
- 16:23His wife launched the mean going technically, maybe kind of her.
- 16:28There's like all these things that happened.
- 16:30A lot of people made money, a lot of people lost money and
- 16:33we're currently in this. I feel like this weird stage of
- 16:35like, what is next, right? What's next are these companies
- 16:39that are publicly invested in crypto, but also part of the,
- 16:45you know, stock market and the indices like micro strategy and
- 16:50others. Like it's not even legal, right?
- 16:53Like right now we're seeing things with digital assets,
- 16:56treasury that are trying to figure out like, is that OK?
- 16:59Like should companies be buying crypto?
- 17:01Should that be part of their valuation?
- 17:02Should that be pumping your stock price?
- 17:04So I think outside of like when you go outside of Twitter, you
- 17:09actually see there's so much happening in, in, in the
- 17:14legislation space that does affect crypto, right?
- 17:18Because if people don't know what to do in this, this
- 17:21scenario, if I don't know if what's going to happen in, in
- 17:25that side, in that side of the world, I'm like, should I be
- 17:29buying crypto right now? Is it going to go down?
- 17:31If, if that vote turns out to be negative, it's that going to be
- 17:35a better buying opportunity than buying right now.
- 17:37So I think right now we're kind of like in this weird stage of
- 17:41trying to get more clarity from the government, from president,
- 17:47from all these companies. And I think, you know, last year
- 17:52I was like Q4. Q 1 is going to be a great time
- 17:54for crypto. And it ended up actually being
- 17:57total opposite because of the things I'm mentioning, which are
- 18:00things no ones are coming like, oh, the the DAT is now trying to
- 18:05like maybe ban companies from buying crypto as far as their
- 18:08whole things. OK, well, so all these things
- 18:11keep happening at times where it's like it's so unpredictable.
- 18:14So I, I mean, I don't think the US government wants to see a
- 18:20breakthrough through the economy.
- 18:21So I don't think they're going to let that happen.
- 18:23But we do have to kind of like wait, sit out, see this things
- 18:26unfold and then see how the momentum again picks up.
- 18:30I think usually the most boring times and the ones with the most
- 18:36fear and when you're like kind of lose your hope is when
- 18:40everything happens. So I'm, I'm still excited, but I
- 18:44do think, you know, if you're here, it doesn't matter if it's
- 18:47a bull market or a bear market. It doesn't matter if prices fall
- 18:50up or down because at the end of the day, it's like, look, they
- 18:54kind of stole a $90,000 that only happened when like last
- 18:57year, like a year ago, right? Like we're still seeing
- 19:00incredible prices like Asus at 3000 Solana.
- 19:05We need to work on Solana. But it's at 1:26.
- 19:08And it's like, we've seen worse in this.
- 19:11We've actually have, you know, it's been pretty stable.
- 19:14Yeah. We all want price to go up.
- 19:16But when times are down, I think it's the best time to
- 19:20accumulate. It's the best time to learn.
- 19:21It's the best time to learn and build.
- 19:24So yeah, I'm like, I don't care if it's a bull market.
- 19:28Bear market. I was here when Ethereum went
- 19:31from $4000 to $800. You know, we've been here from
- 19:36when Solana was at $200, went down to $8, and then it went
- 19:39back up. So it just depends on the time
- 19:41frame that you have for yourself.
- 19:43But if you're here, you're getting bored and you're
- 19:45thinking about leaving to start doing things that like
- 19:49rejuvenate you and start going into different parts, like, you
- 19:52know, maybe support the UFD community.
- 19:55Join, join, join their chats. I'm sure there's so many good
- 19:57people there. Yeah.
- 19:59Well, there are, I mean the UFD community, I mean we, I think
- 20:03one of the things that, that I think is, is a, is a big selling
- 20:08point for the project that we have is that I, I believe that
- 20:11we're perceived as being safe and reliable.
- 20:14And predictable, I, I guess I'll ask you as somebody who's, I
- 20:18mean, you, you are in tune with what's going on in the overall
- 20:22crypto market and I think the meme coin sector as well.
- 20:25Do you, when you look at UFD and you kind of look at how it's
- 20:28evolved over the last year, do you look at the our project as
- 20:31being one that I think, you know, people can rely upon?
- 20:36Yeah, I mean, 100%. I think like I've always said, I
- 20:39love that. You know, at the end of the day,
- 20:41like everyone has all this Kryptus's face of speculation,
- 20:45right? So people want to speculate,
- 20:47they want to buy that new main coin.
- 20:49They want to hope that that's going to go to the moon and
- 20:51whatever it is. But at the end of the day, I'm
- 20:53like, listen, I know Ron, you know Ron.
- 20:56Ron is live every day. Ron has been live every day on
- 20:58his on his YouTube. So I'm excited to see you guys
- 21:03like continue to like grow and continue to build community.
- 21:07At the end of the day, it's a it's a game of numbers, building
- 21:09community and building people that want to be there for the
- 21:11long run. And if I'm going to bet on an
- 21:14anonymous founder, I'd rather bet on Ron, who's been here
- 21:17down. And you know, this man had the
- 21:20opportunity to exit a year ago when he had millions of dollars
- 21:25in the coin. He's still here.
- 21:26He was still here. He was always there.
- 21:28So I'm like, I, I'm so bullish on you, Ron.
- 21:30And I think you're such a great gift to this industry.
- 21:34I swear you're so kind since he's so kind as well.
- 21:38You guys have such a great community.
- 21:39And yeah, I think in my like, the thing with Ming fans is
- 21:43always people are going to go look for the biggest, like the
- 21:46hottest thing right now because everyone's trying to make that
- 21:48$1.00 to $1,000,000 paycheck. But eventually they're going to
- 21:52go back to the communities that are there that are consistent.
- 21:56And for me, it's like, if anyone deserves to win, it's wrong.
- 21:58Because I swear you're like, your dedication is insane.
- 22:03You're, you're so dedicated and you show up every day, which is
- 22:07I think what we need, what we need more of in this space.
- 22:10Yeah, well, thank you for your kind words, Gigi.
- 22:13And, you know, I think super highly of you as well,
- 22:16especially after you're getting to spend some time around you
- 22:18when we were in in Paris. Yeah, you know, it, it, it like
- 22:22my feel after being in it for a year or a little over a year, a
- 22:26year and a month at this point, is that, yeah, there's all this
- 22:30like gambling a lot of times, I guess you could call it, that
- 22:33goes on, like you said, people that want to turn a dollar into
- 22:35$1,000,000. But that overtime, especially as
- 22:39there's more higher levels of crypto adoption, that people are
- 22:44going to want some safety, some reliability, somebody they feel
- 22:48like they can trust. And and I feel like the UFD
- 22:52community, I mean, it's incredible how it's evolved over
- 22:56the last year. But there's some really good
- 22:58people. There's a lot of really good
- 23:00people in crypto. I think sometimes too, like
- 23:02people that are outside of the crypto bubble will look at
- 23:06crypto and be like, oh, it's, you know, they have this bias
- 23:09against crypto in general. And it's been my experience.
- 23:12Yeah, there's some bad actors, no doubt about it, right.
- 23:15But that's true in any industry, like the vast majority of the
- 23:19people in crypto and especially the investors or the, or the
- 23:24token holders, however you want to say it, are really good
- 23:26people. Like, and they're all over the
- 23:28world. I mean, they're just really
- 23:30nice, good, common, you know, good hearted people.
- 23:35Yeah, I think they're so fine, Bernie or comments.
- 23:37They're like Deb dusters, like what's up?
- 23:39Bad mother dusters. It's like that's so cute.
- 23:42Like where do you where do you get that?
- 23:45Well, that's what we call ourselves.
- 23:46Do you still own your UFD or do you own some?
- 23:48UFD of course, of course we've we've always been, we've always
- 23:52been. There's, there's a few coins
- 23:53that I'm like, I just told them people might think whatever it
- 23:57is for me sport, just like I actually really support this
- 24:00person. I really want this person to
- 24:02win, You know, I do. I'm a I'm a trader at you know,
- 24:05I'm a trader at heart. So I'm going to trade most
- 24:08coins, like 99% of the coins I'm trading, but I have like 4 coins
- 24:12that I hold and it's because I love those people.
- 24:15I'm like, I just want to see them win.
- 24:16I want to be part of it. If I mean just to say like you
- 24:20guys went to 473,000,000 like market cap, right?
- 24:24Like you, you were one of the biggest, most craziest organic
- 24:29to run in mink history, right? Like it's, it's insane.
- 24:34But like, yes, I definitely am. I'm still a big supporter of
- 24:37UFC. I still hold it.
- 24:38And I again, it's kind of hard not to do it when I see you live
- 24:43literally doing your show, bringing people on, supporting
- 24:47your community. It's, it's like I said, it's
- 24:50like incredible to me to see that.
- 24:53Yeah, I think that, you know, I am committed to this, committed
- 24:57to the it's, it's, it's not that I'm committed to UFD, which I am
- 25:00committed to, I guess technically UFD, but I feel very
- 25:04committed to the community. And I know that that's what UFD
- 25:08is. That's what, you know, to a
- 25:09large extent what any cryptocurrency is, is the
- 25:12community. And I say it all the time.
- 25:14It's like, you know, trust is the number one thing because
- 25:18trust builds relationships and relationships are what build the
- 25:22community. And you know, and I want to get
- 25:25your opinion on this, Gigi, because I think that crypto
- 25:29adoption rates will continue to increase.
- 25:32Like when I look out five or ten years from now, I tend to think
- 25:36kind of like when like I'm old enough to remember when the
- 25:38Internet first came out and maybe 10% of people had what was
- 25:43called AOL dial up Internet and then over to and some people
- 25:47said, you know, the Internet was crazy and would never go
- 25:50anywhere, whatever. But now everybody right uses the
- 25:53Internet. And I think that that like 5-10
- 25:56years from now, do you, do you think we'll see a much larger
- 26:00percentage of the overall, I guess United States, but also
- 26:04the world population in the world of crypto?
- 26:08Yeah, 100%. I think like crypto, I mean, at
- 26:12the end of the day, and that's what I say, even when we talk
- 26:14about Twitter, it's like crypto is such a financial space that
- 26:17you will see a lot of people, sorry, go in and go out, right?
- 26:23Because some people come in with the idea that they're going to
- 26:26turn whatever money they have into millions.
- 26:28They get burned out. They're like, fuck crypto,
- 26:30right? But maybe they revisit it again
- 26:33in the in the future. So I do think we see such
- 26:36fluctuation of wallets, people overall, because crypto is a
- 26:43financial place just like the stock market.
- 26:45Like, listen, I invested in the stock market in 2019 and then I
- 26:50lost a bunch of money in 2021 and then I was like, you know
- 26:53what, fuck the stock market. I to be honest, I have not
- 26:56bought a stock ever since, but I know my friends right now are
- 27:00making a lot of money in the stock market and they're telling
- 27:02me, Gee, you got to go buy this, You got to go buy that.
- 27:04I'm like, you know what guys, I'm sticking to crypto because
- 27:06like I got burned. And I think that's the same way
- 27:08that a lot of people feel and it's understandable.
- 27:11Like you go into something, you lose money and what will take
- 27:15that person that already left, right, like that person that
- 27:19churned from this industry back is improved.
- 27:24The use case is better, better content is better on boarding.
- 27:31I don't know, like that's what I'm thinking.
- 27:32So I think we are seeing so many people from the Mink Point side,
- 27:36from the crypto side, just continuing to create better
- 27:40content that helps people understand this space more.
- 27:42I think there's more opportunities that, you know,
- 27:46maybe you're not a trader, but you're an engineer.
- 27:48Well, there's this company in crypto that's hiring engineers.
- 27:51You can still join that and that's an entryway into the
- 27:54industry back again, designer jobs.
- 27:56Like there's so many ways that I think we're gonna see more
- 27:59people come in. And obviously, even though some
- 28:03people hate to see it, it's like because the government is
- 28:06supporting crypto, we are going to see more jobs opening.
- 28:10We are going to see this become more approachable, be more
- 28:15normal, and we are going to see more people come in.
- 28:18So I think it's not about if, it's about when and when it
- 28:22happens. You want to be in a position
- 28:25where your community, your content, your brand is something
- 28:29that people go in, right? Because you want to be that
- 28:32entryway for people. That's why when we talked about
- 28:37so long ago about the Moon Bay video, I was like, oh, you
- 28:39should do a Moon Bay video, like showing people how to buy UFD
- 28:44with just Moonfair. I guess you can just do it with
- 28:46your card. It's like I think when you're
- 28:49that first entry point for someone, they discover something
- 28:53through you. It's such a crazy bond and it's
- 28:56such a magical thing that happens that I think at the end
- 29:00of the day, when we see the fluctuation happen, when we see
- 29:04that you want to be the person with the tutorials, you want to
- 29:08be the person with the community.
- 29:10And and that's, that's like what I'm trying to do.
- 29:12I'm trying to do a lot of beginner sell content again,
- 29:15because at the end of the day, yes, you will have some people
- 29:19that are like, yo, I've been here for 10 years, but well,
- 29:21guess what? Thank you.
- 29:22Now we need to work on the ones that have not been here for 10
- 29:25years and maybe don't even like this community because we need
- 29:29more people to come in. So, So yes, I do think we're
- 29:31going to see a, a huge, yeah. I mean, we're we're we're early
- 29:36still, I hate to say it, we're still early.
- 29:38Yeah, yeah. But, and I agree with you 100%,
- 29:41and I've been kind of hitting on this point recently with our
- 29:45community. I'm sponsored by Moon Pay, but
- 29:48Moon Pay is really the most simple, straightforward way.
- 29:52People say, how do we onboard people into UFD?
- 29:55Like it's real easy with Moon Pay, right?
- 29:57I mean that look, I figured it out.
- 29:59Moon Pay was my very first crypto transaction and it's
- 30:03easy. You don't have to set up a
- 30:05software wallet. You can go into Moon Pay.
- 30:07I did it the other day. I transferred some money from
- 30:10PayPal into Moon Pay and then bought UFD on Moon Pay.
- 30:13And you know, I think that's another key component is that
- 30:18there are some really great companies like Moon Pay and I'd
- 30:21say like Ledger also, which I think you and I obviously were
- 30:24both at the Ledger headquarters that are adding real value into
- 30:29crypto, right? Like moon phase onboarding.
- 30:32I mean, they are the on ramp into crypto for millions and
- 30:34millions of people. Ledger secure is helping people
- 30:37secure, which everybody knows I got hacked, right?
- 30:40So that's a big, big deal, you know, and then when you talk
- 30:44about I, I guess the R word, which I won't win a popularity
- 30:48contest probably by saying this. But I do think that like you,
- 30:52you talked about this evolution of the of the regulatory
- 30:57environment in crypto, that if it doesn't go too far, that it
- 31:01could actually be really good for crypto because it might give
- 31:04more of the normies out there or the non crypto people who are
- 31:09afraid of crypto now some confidence that they can go into
- 31:12the sector and and feel a little safer about it.
- 31:17Does that does that make sense? Yeah, 100%.
- 31:21I think, I don't know. I think we're so early still
- 31:23through all this game right now. We're seeing like prediction
- 31:25markets. And when I think about even
- 31:27prediction markets, it's like because we see it on on the TV,
- 31:30right, We see, I don't know about you actually.
- 31:32I've seen it on the TV. I've seen Kashi on the TV.
- 31:34I see probably market on the TV in LA.
- 31:37There's all these other kinds like sports betting.
- 31:40And when I think about like, OK, like why is that more
- 31:43approachable in a way to normies, It's because there's
- 31:47not all this influx, right? Like if, if there's a prediction
- 31:51market about, well, UFD hit $1.00, another person can't go
- 31:58and create the same market, but name it differently, like UFD
- 32:02hitting $1.00, right? So like now you're like, oh
- 32:05fuck, like what do I have? Which, which one do I bet on?
- 32:07Cuz if I bet on the first one and the second one goes, it's
- 32:09still the same. You know, it's like, I do think
- 32:12we still have to figure out like branding, positioning and how to
- 32:16not dilute what we are doing in crypto, especially mean coins,
- 32:20right? Like a big thing is like you buy
- 32:22a min coin UFD and then they sell, they sell UFDOG and now
- 32:27everyone find UFDOG. So I think it's also like we
- 32:29have a branding problem for for normies, but that's where I
- 32:33think communities like this one that are reliable.
- 32:38Amazing death, by the way, great community.
- 32:42You guys have a way to, you know, be like, Hey guys, like
- 32:45instead of finding all that crap, like how about you come
- 32:48here and bet on something that will not last five minutes and
- 32:53dump or five days and dump, right?
- 32:55Like this is what we've been doing for this long.
- 32:57And then building, building that community dynamic into it where,
- 33:01you know, I see your chat. Obviously they, they, they love
- 33:04you. They feel very much part of what
- 33:07you guys are doing and they're doing it together and that's
- 33:10really awesome. So I do think like even though
- 33:12we have all these issues, because we are like Minko, it's
- 33:17in a very much real way are gambling the way that like
- 33:21people do it. When you have real communities,
- 33:24it's kind of like, hey, yeah, you can keep doing that.
- 33:27You can keep trading, gambling, whatever you want to call it,
- 33:31but you can still support people that are here for the long run
- 33:33and you can be part of that. Yeah, yeah.
- 33:36And I and I like what you said about branding.
- 33:38I mean, one thing we've done in UFD just in the last 8 weeks is
- 33:42started the process of registering our IP with the US
- 33:45Patent and Trade Office so that we actually have, we have our
- 33:49own, you know, UFD character now the name UFD.
- 33:54And, and I think that that like doing things like that sets us
- 33:57apart because you kind of touched on this and something
- 34:00that I definitely experienced over the last year and, and felt
- 34:05during the first three to four months that there's so much
- 34:08dilution, right? There's so many that I don't
- 34:10know. There were, it seemed like at
- 34:11one point there were like a million new meme coins being
- 34:14created every month. And and I think that that I
- 34:19don't I'll get, I want your opinion on this.
- 34:21It feels like to me that as we move forward, that the meme coin
- 34:24sector is evolving and that we won't maybe see that many new
- 34:29meme coins coming out and that the ones that crypto Vic said
- 34:34this the other day. He said, I think there's going
- 34:35to be kind of a meme coin Hall of Fame with the good projects
- 34:40that that have their IP, that that have a proven track record
- 34:45and that they'll be the ones that remain standing and that
- 34:48have a great community, right, which is the foundation of it
- 34:50all. I can't forget to say that.
- 34:53Do you do you? When you look out like a year
- 34:55from now, if you had a crystal ball, GG.
- 34:58Do you see that the meme coin sector is evolving in a lot of
- 35:01ways? Yeah, I think everyone is trying
- 35:05to like fit. I mean, I think more
- 35:06importantly, launch pads wants to do this, right.
- 35:08Like when I, when I think about the problem is like as a trader,
- 35:13you know, if you're a trader, you trade, if you're a holder,
- 35:15you hold. But then outside of that is like
- 35:184 listen, launch pads make their money from fees, right?
- 35:24So every launchpad out there makes money from youth trading,
- 35:28from the deaf deploying, you know, like that's how they make
- 35:32their money. That's just how they make their
- 35:34money. So when we think about that,
- 35:36it's like the more people that get turned away from buying mini
- 35:41coins because of the mass influx of mini coins out there are
- 35:47everyday people that just literally will buy the create
- 35:53one, dump, whatever. Like yesterday I was looking at
- 35:57some mini points. There were two mini coins that
- 35:58were running, so deaf was holding 40% of the main point.
- 36:02I'm like, I'm going to go check afterwards.
- 36:04Where is it at? It's on by go.
- 36:06They can like they have all good.
- 36:07We're at $500,000 in this main, kind of like why do they even
- 36:11own so much, right? So I think eventually people are
- 36:16going to get burned. Like we're seeing there's a lot
- 36:18of people burned. That's why a lot of people are
- 36:19no longer buying, buying and trading main points.
- 36:22And I think launchpads are going to be put in a position where
- 36:26they have to figure out how can they help create better
- 36:30narratives? How can they help create better
- 36:33launches? How can they help create a more
- 36:35trustworthy space for people to still want to go in, you know,
- 36:41and put their money in it? Because I, I think like at the
- 36:45end of the day, launchpads need devs, but they also need
- 36:49traders. Traders want to buy things, but
- 36:53they need to know that, you know, in a way, like I'm not
- 36:56going to get rugged in two seconds after I buy this.
- 36:59So I do think we are going to see a lot of different like
- 37:02things coming up, whether it's new launchpads or launchpads or
- 37:05dusting, what they're currently doing.
- 37:09Is it is it what people want? I don't think so.
- 37:11I think people, you know, a lot of people just want to be able
- 37:13to do whatever they want with whatever they want.
- 37:16But I don't know, I'm like, I'm excited.
- 37:19I'm excited to see what's going to happen.
- 37:20To be honest. It's kind of unpredictable
- 37:22because this space just moves so fast.
- 37:25Like next week we could have like this big thing happen and
- 37:29now everything changed for the next year.
- 37:30I have no really no idea, but I think there's so much
- 37:35opportunity in crypto just because of all this uncertainty
- 37:40on fast moving trends, fast metas.
- 37:43Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I think UFD will that we'll
- 37:48continue to just do what we do, right.
- 37:51I mean, not the communities obviously very focused on UFD.
- 37:54I'm very focused on UFD and we'll be one of those options
- 37:58there. I mean, somebody the other day,
- 38:00a couple people started referring to UFD as a blue chip
- 38:04meme coin, which I thought, boy, only in the world of crypto
- 38:07after one year can you be considered a, a blue chip, which
- 38:10I took is a big compliment for our community in the, in the
- 38:14project as well. I know we're running short on
- 38:17time, but I, I wanted to ask you if you had any advice.
- 38:20You know, as you look at UFDI, know you've, you've, you've been
- 38:24familiar with us from day one. You were like, you know, one of
- 38:27the first big influencers that spotted UFDI think on the first
- 38:31night. Any advice or any observations
- 38:36that you would share with me and with the community about what we
- 38:39could do or not do going forward to help the project?
- 38:43Yeah, I mean, I think you guys have been doing such a great
- 38:45job. Again, I don't, I don't think
- 38:47there's a single other founder that's out there going live
- 38:51every day. Your community is also so
- 38:54strong, right? I see, I see so many people from
- 38:58the community that are that are both posting.
- 39:00So I would say just that's a big one.
- 39:03Like people need to keep posting about it.
- 39:05You know, if you're part of this community, you wanted to win,
- 39:08keep posting about it. If you're on Twitter, go tweet
- 39:11about it, go reply to other people's tweets.
- 39:13That's probably like more more impactful than than just
- 39:18posting. Like if you if you don't really
- 39:20get views posting, Hey, go, go invade the post of other people
- 39:23that have maybe I encrypt them, maybe I mean coins and talk
- 39:26about it, right. I think like me to distribution
- 39:29is key, right. And I think if you are on
- 39:32TikTok, if you're on Instagram, go out there, go to YouTube.
- 39:36I think you have to go reach new audiences and at the end of the
- 39:40day, it's like we've seen some crazy runs on some points that
- 39:44are Instagram TikTok native, like the fake Mr. BS coin.
- 39:49Why? It's because people are learning
- 39:52the way that people love to talk in in those platforms and
- 39:56they're talking about things like, you know, no one bought
- 39:58the fake Mr. BS coin because they thought it was going to
- 40:01rug. They they bought it because they
- 40:03were like, yo, this is Mr. BS. This is going to keep going up,
- 40:06right. So then now you have someone
- 40:08who. Is publicly committed to the
- 40:11project, has an active community and I'm sure you guys have like
- 40:15different ideas of the ways that you want to continue to grow the
- 40:19community like you said you're gonna apply for the IP.
- 40:22So I'm like, now it's more like, how do we get more eyes on this
- 40:28initiative? And I think Twitter's great.
- 40:32You guys have been on Twitter. Let's you know, you're on
- 40:34YouTube, go more to YouTube, go to TikTok, go to Instagram, go
- 40:38to threads. There are people there that like
- 40:41crypto, crypto and mean coins are a very like Gen. see type of
- 40:45product. I see a lot of Gen. seers going
- 40:47to it. I'm seeing more and more 18 year
- 40:49olds getting into mean coins. I've met people that are 1617
- 40:53that are in new coins. So it's like, OK, build that
- 40:56bill that, that community initiative to go out to other
- 41:03platforms, create content around it, you know, and I think, I
- 41:07think it's that it's like at the end of the day, the biggest
- 41:09thing in crypto has always been the marketing issue that we
- 41:14have. And I think, you know, for you,
- 41:16Ron, it's like, I'm sure you're already getting so many, so many
- 41:20requests to do this. But also if you maybe there's
- 41:23companies that you're like, hey, they have a conference.
- 41:25I would love to talk there, have the community message them,
- 41:29message them yourself. And you know, if the community
- 41:31is here listening, remember like Ron is just one person and Sis
- 41:35is one person as well. So it's a, it's a big group
- 41:39effort to do this. It's not only them.
- 41:42It's like you guys have to do it together.
- 41:43So, you know, if there's a conference happening, make a
- 41:46list of all the conference, reach out to them and hopefully
- 41:50like put yourself in status that can get more people to to put
- 41:54eyes on you and what you're doing and your mission.
- 41:57But you guys are awesome already.
- 41:58So I'm also biased, but I think, you know, just to sum it up, I
- 42:02think it's like more more distribution in terms of of eyes
- 42:06and ears and what you guys are doing.
- 42:08Yeah, 'cause we, we do, you know, like I didn't know what
- 42:11crypto Twitter was. I didn't know anybody in, in, in
- 42:15crypto. I didn't know what crypto
- 42:16Twitter was 14 months ago now after a year, right, I'm very
- 42:20familiar with crypto Twitter and it's I, I kind of call it like
- 42:24our like for UFD like, and I think for a lot of crypto
- 42:27projects as well. It's kind of like the town
- 42:29square, right? It's like the central hub, you
- 42:32know, we have discord now we do have Instagram, we do have
- 42:35TikTok, obviously we have YouTube as well.
- 42:38But the importance of getting the word out there to more and
- 42:43more and more people that are outside of the crypto Twitter
- 42:46bubble. I mean, it's very important and
- 42:48it's it's an awesome what goes on on crypto Twitter.
- 42:51And I think the other thing is like the community of UFD is, is
- 42:56so passionate and feel so connected and they're really
- 43:00quality people. GG I mean, everybody I meet like
- 43:03it's like these are like from all walks of life, but one
- 43:07common thread is just the high quality of the of the people
- 43:11that we have and to get the word out outside of the crypto
- 43:14Twitter bubble. I think that's the challenge,
- 43:16but also the opportunity while at the same time, you know,
- 43:21this, the this community, what's been built and and I'm somebody
- 43:25referred to me bit boy J the other day as the spokesperson,
- 43:28which I agree with, right? Like I'm kind of the
- 43:30spokesperson. The I don't know, figurehead.
- 43:33I'm technically the dev, but that was all of me filling in 4
- 43:37fields on a pump fund form that we stick to and I and we do do
- 43:42it every day, right? Like this idea that the good and
- 43:46fair and transparent and reliability integrity, that
- 43:51those things can win in crypto and can win in life in general,
- 43:55but can also win in crypto because everything's so
- 43:58transparent on crypto. So I'm optimistic.
- 44:01I really appreciate you coming on with us today.
- 44:03GG You know, like I said at the beginning, you were a, a
- 44:08critical person for me early on in this project.
- 44:11I was, I remember laying in my bed at 2:00 in the morning
- 44:14talking to you on the phone about the Twitter account being
- 44:17hacked. And you, you did so many nice,
- 44:19great things for me as a person, but also for the UFD community
- 44:26in those early days that that I think help steer us to where we
- 44:30are today. So thank you.
- 44:33Yeah, of course. I honestly, I always loved, I
- 44:35don't remember who was. I just remember I bought the
- 44:38coin and then someone messaged me and they because I just
- 44:42remember like, like the deck Screener was hacked.
- 44:44So even UFD wasn't showing the right UFD was showing some
- 44:48Penguin AI thing. And I remember the next day I
- 44:52was like, what the hell, like why is this happening?
- 44:54And then the next day someone messaged me and they're like,
- 44:56oh, this is the person. That's the YouTube guy.
- 44:59And I remember I, I reached out and you were like, Oh my God,
- 45:03there's so many scammers messaging me right now, right?
- 45:06Like everyone was trying to get you.
- 45:08And I was like, OK, Ron, this is what we're going to do.
- 45:13But yeah, I mean, it's been such an incredible journey.
- 45:15And I always, I don't know, I, I always look to him like he looks
- 45:19like a trustworthy person and he looks like he's actually here.
- 45:22And I think like, you know, regardless, you've done so much
- 45:25for your community. I'm sure they're so appreciative
- 45:28of how committed you are to the project, how you show up every
- 45:31day. So I mean, my flowers to you
- 45:33because your, your commitment, your discipline and the way that
- 45:38you show up in this industry is incredible.
- 45:41And, and we need more of that. So, you know, I'm, I'm always a,
- 45:45I'm always a duster in heart. So you know, I'm always here.
- 45:50I told you I was going to have you on on my stream as well.
- 45:53And technically we, we got, we got each other on both because
- 45:57they can see you right now. Yours can see me.
- 46:00And I'm just happy. I'm just happy to be here.
- 46:03And I'm, you know, any way that I can always support, just let
- 46:05me know. You know, I, I love the UFD
- 46:07community. You and Sissy are incredible
- 46:09people and you deserve the world.
- 46:11So. Yeah, and, and, and you know
- 46:13what? The the reality is really
- 46:16simple, Gigi. I mean, I spawned UFD or created
- 46:20it developer, whatever, But I'm not here without the community.
- 46:25Yeah. And really from day one, I mean,
- 46:27I think technically UFD was ACTO from day one.
- 46:31You know, I only own less than or maybe a little over 1% at the
- 46:36very beginning. It was.
- 46:37I mean, you know, I was. UFD is just another one of the
- 46:4212 million meme coins that I think technically died last year
- 46:46without the community like taking it over.
- 46:49And, and I think that's a powerful force, you know, in the
- 46:53world of, of the blockchain, in the world of cryptocurrency,
- 46:58that, that a community can actually create something that's
- 47:02led to this, right where you and I are talking here 14 months
- 47:05later and, and talking about a really bright future.
- 47:09And you know, again, I'll say it one last time.
- 47:12Thank you. I think the world of you.
- 47:15And if there's ever anything I can do or the community can do
- 47:18to help you out, let us know because I consider you a friend
- 47:22and it was great to meet you in person.
- 47:24I thought super highly. I told Susie this is that I
- 47:26thought really highly of Gigi before before I went to Paris
- 47:31for the Ledger Nano Gen. 5 reveal event.
- 47:36And after getting to spend some time around you, I, I came home,
- 47:40I said she is really, really, really a good person, right?
- 47:44She's smart. You know, she's got she's got
- 47:46everything, but she's a very good person is the sense I came
- 47:51away with. So it's an honor to know you I.
- 47:54Appreciate you, Ron. Honored to know you too and to
- 47:58the community that's been in the chat, amazing community.
- 48:01Thank you so much to everyone. Keep both posting USD keep keep,
- 48:07you know, stick with it. Like think about all those coins
- 48:11that took years and years and now they're now they're top ten
- 48:14right now they're top 10. So, I mean, the more people that
- 48:18join the mission, the faster it happens.
- 48:21Yeah. Thank you so much for having me.
- 48:23I won't take more of your time. Love the setup.
- 48:26Loving the setup. Bitboy J is AG.
- 48:28He really. He is.
- 48:30He is him. He's been a huge supporter.
- 48:32He's, like, always on my feet. Always on my feet.
- 48:35Yeah. But yeah, love you guys and
- 48:38thank you so much for having me, Ron and I hope we do this again.
- 48:41OK, Let's not take that long to do it again.
- 48:43All right. Thank you, Gigi.
- 48:45I love your setup too. Right.
- 48:46OK, enjoy. Enjoy Hawaii and we will.
- 48:49We'll see you soon. Thank you.
- 48:52Thank you. Bye, Ron.
- 48:53Bye CC, Bye community. Bye.
- 48:55Bye, everybody. Yep.
- 48:56Thanks for being here. See you, Gigi.
