- 0:33Speaker 2: rabies can naturally occur in healthy bat populations at a

- 0:39Speaker 2: as an important reminder that rabies is always a risk
- 0:42Speaker 2: wherever bats are present, and to always treat any interaction
- 0:45Speaker 2: with a bat seriously and take the appropriate precautions to
- 0:48Speaker 2: avoid close contact with the flying mammals. Pet Owners are
- 0:51Speaker 2: being encouraged to vaccinate their animals against rabies, and people
- 0:55Speaker 2: are being asked to avoid and report animals that show

- 2:04Speaker 1: of Bass volunteer Fire Department. Police believe the fire may
- 2:08Speaker 1: have been set intentionally, and are asking anyone with information
- 2:12Speaker 1: to contact them or Crime stopperers. One man was arrested

- 3:51Speaker 1: lettuce as the possible cause of a cyclospora outbreak in
- 3:54Speaker 1: the state. Infections from the diarrhea inducing parasite are surging,
- 3:59Speaker 1: with the state level data suggesting twenty twenty six is
- 4:03Speaker 1: already the worst year for reported cases of cyclospora in
- 4:07Speaker 1: the United States. More than thirty states have reported infections
- 4:11Speaker 1: this year, with current data showing the number of infections
- 4:14Speaker 1: has surpassed the record mark of forty seven hundred set
- 4:18Speaker 1: in the US in twenty nineteen. While health officials have
- 4:21Speaker 1: not yet definitively identified what is causing the infections, Michigan
- 4:26Speaker 1: is blaming lettuce or Salad Greens, a Netflix series filmed
