- 0:19Speaker 1: Close your eyes and make yourself comfortable. Take a deep
- 0:25breath in through your nose and slowly and gently breathe
- 0:32out through your mouth. Again, take a deep breath in
- 0:40through your nose and slowly and gently breathe out through
- 0:47your mouth. One more time, Take a deep breath in
- 0:55through your nose and slowly and gently breathe out through
- 1:02your mouth.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Just relax. Now, imagine that your body feels all floppy
- 1:12and loose, but very very relaxed. And imagine all of
- 1:18your body feeling exactly the same way, all floppy and loose,
- 1:26and you're so relaxed, and you feel so happy right now.
- 1:34So imagine that you have roots growing out from the
- 1:38soles of your feet, roots that look just like the
- 1:42roots of a tree, very long and very wobbly and nobly.
- 1:49And if you listen carefully, you can hear your roots
- 1:52growing through the ground. You can hear them as they
- 1:56push their way through the soft soil, and it tickles
- 1:59just little bit. Can you feel it? Can you feel
- 2:04the soil under your feet? Now, imagine that you see
- 2:11a beautiful white light surrounding your whole body, a light
- 2:16so bright that you shine much brighter than the brighter star,
- 2:24and you can see and fear your body filled with
- 2:27the light and the warmth. You can see and feel
- 2:33your heart filled with love and light for all beings, people, animals, plants,
- 2:41for all life. And this beautiful, pure white light is
- 2:47protecting you always. It's like having your very own force field.
- 2:55Now I'm going to tell you a little story, and
- 3:00it begins. The lion was asleep under a tree in
- 3:05a beautiful jungle, and he wakes up to find something
- 3:09moving around him, and he gives a big roar and says,
- 3:12what is this? He holds up a little mouse in
- 3:16his big paw, and the lion says to the little mouse,
- 3:22because she woke me up, I will make a nice
- 3:25little smack out of you. The little mouse trembles because
- 3:30he really doesn't want to be eaten. The little mouse
- 3:34says to the mighty lion, Oh, please, please don't eat me.
- 3:39Someday I may be able to help you. If you
- 3:41eat me, then I won't be able to help you
- 3:43if you need it. The mighty lion laughed at the
- 3:47little mouse. How could a little mouse ever help a great,
- 3:52big lion like me? The little mouse said, I don't know,
- 3:57but please please don't eat me. The mighty lion looked
- 4:03at the little mouse and thought, for a moment, okay,
- 4:07little mouse, because you made me laugh, I won't eat you.
- 4:11I will let you go. Oh thank you, thank you,
- 4:15thank you, said the little mouse. I won't forget what
- 4:19you've done for me, and someday I will help you,
- 4:22I promise. The little mouse scampered off. The mighty lion
- 4:28laughed again and said that little mouse could never help
- 4:32anyone here is far too small. A week later, the
- 4:39mighty lion found himself trapped under the same tree. He
- 4:44was tied up so badly that he could not break free.
- 4:47I can't get away, he said to himself. I'm trapped
- 4:51and I don't know how to free myself. Just then
- 4:57he heard a sound. He heard the words, sh do
- 5:02you remember me? Who said that? The lion roared, it's me.
- 5:07The little mouse came the reply, you didn't eat me,
- 5:11and I said that I would help you in return
- 5:13if you ever needed it. Yes, I remember you, the
- 5:17lion replied. But there is no way anyone can help
- 5:21me now. I am trapped. Sh please stay still, said
- 5:28the little mouse. I can't help you. I can get
- 5:32you out of the trap before the hunters come back.
- 5:34You must stay quiet. How can you help me, said
- 5:37the lion. Please be quiet, said the little mouse. I
- 5:41can chew the ropes around you and I will set
- 5:43you free, but please you must stay quiet. The little
- 5:48mouse chews through the ropes until they break free and
- 5:52fall away from the mighty lion. You are free now,
- 5:56said the little mouse. The mighty lion looked down at
- 6:01the little mouse and said, you were right. You did
- 6:04help me. You set me free, and I am very
- 6:08grateful to you for that. The mighty lion looked at
- 6:13the little mouse one more time and said, even a
- 6:17little mouse can be a good friend to a mighty
- 6:19lion like me. And I am so happy that I
- 6:23didn't eat you, so am I said the little mouse.
- 6:29The mighty lion ran off into the jungle, and he
- 6:34ran so that the hunters couldn't find him anywhere, and
- 6:38the little mouse scurried off into the undergrowth. Maybe one
- 6:43day they may meet again. So you see, it really
- 6:48is a good thing to help others, whether they are
- 6:52big lions or your friends, because one day you may
- 6:57need their help too. But really it's a good thing
- 7:02to help others, just because you can. But now it's
- 7:07time for you to get some sleep. And your eyes
- 7:11are beginning to feel heavy, and your eyelids are beginning
- 7:15to droop, but your body feels so peaceful, so relaxed,
- 7:22so calm, and so very very heavy. You feel very
- 7:28sleepy now too, and you can feel a gentle wave
- 7:33of sleepiness starting at your feet. You can feel your
- 7:39toes going to sleep, and it feels all warm and
- 7:42tingling and ever so soft. And you feel a soothing,
- 7:49gentle wave of sleepiness coming up your calves and your shins.
- 7:55You can feel it going up your thighs, and you
- 7:58think your legs have already gone to sleep. You feel
- 8:02very tired now, so sleepy, but so happy, and your
- 8:07eyes well, they just don't want to open up at all.
- 8:13The beautiful wave of sleepiness travels all the way up
- 8:17your body and down your arms and into your hands,
- 8:22making your body feel very very heavy, very very tired,
- 8:29and very very sleepy. And this gentle, warm wave of
- 8:36sleepiness travels up your face and over the top of
- 8:40your head, down the back of your neck, and you
- 8:44feel so tired now, so sleepy, and you feel all
- 8:51nice and warm and snuggly under your beautiful soft quilt
- 8:57and very fluffy squidgy pillows. So just have a little
- 9:02sleep now, Just rest fine, night, sleep tight. To have
