- 0:00People have found windmill parts, bottles, dishes,
- 0:05bash tubs, like literally just like creepy
- 0:08bath tubs laying in the forest.
- 0:10- Okay, will any bathtub in the forest
- 0:12is gonna be creepy?
- 0:14- But you know what I think when I see that?
- 0:15- What I see. - a Cialis commercial?
- 0:17(laughing)
- 0:19- Are you ready?
- 0:20It's time.
- 0:23We happened upon a bath tub in the woods.
- 0:26I just think like what a cool like witchy photo
- 0:28she thought of me.
- 0:29- Oh, 1000%.
- 0:30But it would make a great photo shoot
- 0:32because that's undeniably weird and kind of creepy.
- 0:35- It is creepy.
- 0:36You wanna know what else is creepy?
- 0:37(dramatic music)
- 0:40- Hi, Caitlyn.
- 0:41Hi, Cassie.
- 0:43- Hi, creepy people.
- 0:45- Hellooooo.
- 0:47- If you're new to our creepy corner of the world,
- 0:49this is PNW Haunts and Homicides,
- 0:52where we chat about true crime, I don't know what that was.
- 0:55We chat about true crime, the paranormal,
- 0:58and all things spooky in the Pacific Northwest.
- 1:02- That we do.
- 1:04We also do a tarot reading at the end of every episode
- 1:08for a little bit of deeper insight into our topic.
- 1:11- The topic that is from the Pacific Northwest.
- 1:14(laughing)
- 1:17- Cassie, you didn't know.
- 1:19Or what is it, PNW?
- 1:21- PNW if you're nasy.
- 1:23- Yeah, I think we should add saying that every time.
- 1:25- Okay, Shite, do you want me to just do a second
- 1:28take?
- 1:29- I like us talking about it.
- 1:30I feel like that's perfect.
- 1:31- Okay.
- 1:31(laughing)
- 1:33- Amazing.
- 1:33I like to be real here.
- 1:34We like to show people the ins and outs of our show.
- 1:38- Yup.
- 1:39- All the innards and outards.
- 1:40Okay, we like that.
- 1:41- Yeah.
- 1:42- I wish you could see the innards and outers
- 1:45of the pod lab right now.
- 1:48- Oh yeah.
- 1:49- She's in quite a state.
- 1:52Maybe we'll take some pictures and--
- 1:54- Yeah, progress picks.
- 1:56- As you can tell by the wall, we're still not quite done.
- 1:59- Yeah.
- 2:00- Decorating and everything.
- 2:01We've got some equipmental things going on.
- 2:06So.
- 2:07- Yup, that's the word.
- 2:10- Yup, and we've got one side of the room
- 2:12that has some brand new acoustical foam tiles.
- 2:16They're right above your head, so it's hilarious.
- 2:22I am gonna be so distracted by those.
- 2:24- You know what, when I walked in,
- 2:26I thought it was a flat screen and I was like, finally.
- 2:29- A TV.
- 2:30- I thought we got monitors above our heads
- 2:32so we could see each other.
- 2:34I mean, see ourselves.
- 2:35- That's hilarious.
- 2:39- I mean, for like a split second.
- 2:41- Yeah.
- 2:42- I didn't like actually think you guys would do that.
- 2:44- Yeah.
- 2:45That would be really weird because it also
- 2:47is partially on the ceiling.
- 2:49So it's like the wall and the ceiling.
- 2:51It also wraps around the corner wall.
- 2:54So, I mean, that would be quite the flat screen.
- 2:57- And not at all flat.
- 2:58- I didn't quite see the other parts.
- 3:00I just saw the black on the wall and the flat.
- 3:03- Huh.
- 3:04- And I got excited for a split second.
- 3:07- Yeah, a split pea of a second.
- 3:08- A split second.
- 3:09- I don't wanna take that from you.
- 3:10- You're still loud.
- 3:13- I'm still loud.
- 3:14- Mr. car out there.
- 3:16- Yeah, we do have some brand new curtains
- 3:18'cause it's helping us influence the light.
- 3:21So the Cassie doesn't have to squint by midday
- 3:26as the sun changes position.
- 3:28- Yeah.
- 3:29- There also supposed to be sound dampening
- 3:31which I do feel like we're noticing a difference already
- 3:35but it's very slight.
- 3:37- Yeah, we'll see during editing what happens.
- 3:40- Yeah, yeah.
- 3:41You know, I really think it's the other half
- 3:44of the acoustical tiles.
- 3:46That's, wow, that's gonna be the game changer.
- 3:48- I think so.
- 3:49- Yeah.
- 3:50- It's only for a voice echo a little bit.
- 3:53- Yeah, I think so.
- 3:54- I don't know what it's called when you're a voice.
- 3:56- Reverb.
- 3:57- Reverbs around the room.
- 3:59- The reverbs.
- 4:00- Well, I must know.
- 4:05Who are you wearing under the table?
- 4:08(laughs)
- 4:09- Okay, so I'm wearing these very comfy,
- 4:12Lengie pajama shorts.
- 4:14- Yes, those, not what you meant.
- 4:17- Do they have rhinestones on them?
- 4:19Are they sparkly?
- 4:20- They don't know.
- 4:21- Are they shiny?
- 4:23Then I don't care.
- 4:24- Oh, okay.
- 4:25So you meant the shoes.
- 4:26- I meant the shoes.
- 4:27- Okay, 'cause I'm trying to break in my wedding shoes
- 4:30right now.
- 4:31(laughs)
- 4:33- She's been wearing them all day,
- 4:35just talking about them.
- 4:36- Oh my gosh.
- 4:37- Look at my shoes, look at my shoes.
- 4:41- Okay, so I've only been wearing them for a couple of hours
- 4:43but to be fair, I did run into the bathroom
- 4:47while she was finishing her makeup
- 4:49and do a full high kick
- 4:52so that we could look at my shoe in the mirror.
- 4:55And that was, as you can imagine,
- 4:57I'm sure quite the challenge because I'm five feet tall
- 5:01and yeah, it's a feat of physics
- 5:06to get my foot up into the mirror,
- 5:10but it's a feat of physics to look at.
- 5:14- I didn't even think about that.
- 5:16- For all five feet of Caitlyn
- 5:17to look at her own feet, your five feet, right?
- 5:19- Yeah, five foot, yeah.
- 5:21- I don't wanna make you taller than you actually.
- 5:23- I mean, God forbid.
- 5:24- Yeah.
- 5:25- When my thoughts go to my head,
- 5:27I assume that if you get much taller than that,
- 5:30the air's just gotta be thinner out there, you know?
- 5:32- You know, I've grown about an inch in my adult life
- 5:37from, you know, elongating my spine,
- 5:40like making things where they actually should be
- 5:42instead of all crumpled up.
- 5:43- Oh.
- 5:44- And you know, I gotta say, I got some elevation sickness
- 5:48from it, like I,
- 5:50- Okay, so she's mocking me.
- 5:52- Great.
- 5:56- I thought that was genius.
- 5:57- No, it was good.
- 5:59It was good.
- 6:03- You know you're good.
- 6:06- Okay.
- 6:07- What are we talking about today?
- 6:09It's my episode.
- 6:11- Yeah.
- 6:12- So I think this week we're gonna go down to California.
- 6:17- Oh.
- 6:20- Why?
- 6:21- I don't know.
- 6:22- 'Cause they know how to party.
- 6:23- Oh.
- 6:25- They do know how to party.
- 6:26- And they also have ghosts.
- 6:29- So.
- 6:30- Oh, okay.
- 6:31- I forgive you for that.
- 6:33- Not you, Cassie.
- 6:36I forgive California.
- 6:37- I was like, oh, okay, cool.
- 6:39All I have to do is give her a party
- 6:40and then I'm forgiven.
- 6:42I'm already having a party pretty soon.
- 6:45I don't know if you've heard.
- 6:47- Where we're going is about 250 miles north
- 6:51of San Francisco.
- 6:53- San Fran, if you nasty.
- 6:54- Some of these might not be traditional ghosts.
- 7:00- So they're like weird ghosts.
- 7:03Like they're keep it weird ghosts.
- 7:04Like they're like.
- 7:06- I bet like you can never guess in a million years.
- 7:10Like what kind of ghosts I'm gonna talk about.
- 7:12- Okay.
- 7:13- I guess I'll just let you tell me.
- 7:15- Yeah.
- 7:16So none of these are ghosts.
- 7:18Like they would be a spirit of a person.
- 7:21Oh.
- 7:22What?
- 7:23I'm not gonna tell you.
- 7:25Well, I'm gonna tell you eventually.
- 7:26But we'll get there.
- 7:28We do have some real ghosts too.
- 7:29It's a real variety show this one.
- 7:34I, okay.
- 7:38I don't know if I should be nervous or excited.
- 7:40You should be both.
- 7:41That's a lot of feelings.
- 7:44And I think you know how I feel about feelings.
- 7:47You feel them.
- 7:48Headwaters forest reserve is 7,472 acres
- 7:55of protected old growth redwood forest.
- 7:58Oh, gorgeous.
- 8:00Which is also home to threatened species.
- 8:04Like coho salmon, the northern spotted owl,
- 8:09and marbled merlet.
- 8:12Murrelet.
- 8:13And I had no clue what that was.
- 8:15So obviously I googled it.
- 8:17Google says it's a small squat seabird
- 8:21with a short neck and tail.
- 8:23Giving the body a blocky shape.
- 8:25It has a thin pointed bill and
- 8:27an in-flight rather long narrow wings.
- 8:32You can Google it if you wanna see it.
- 8:34I was gonna say, why do I feel so attacked
- 8:36by this description?
- 8:38Like I feel like you're describing my body type.
- 8:41And funny, we were just talking about that earlier.
- 8:44How's it spelled?
- 8:49So marbled like your favorite thing.
- 8:51And the merlet, MU, R-R-E, L-E-T.
- 8:56Oh, okay.
- 8:58It's just like a, it looks like a bird.
- 9:00Like a fox.
- 9:01And like a pigeon.
- 9:02And how to baby?
- 9:03I was thinking like a kid tried to draw a duck
- 9:05but like couldn't really do it, right?
- 9:07Yeah.
- 9:08Yeah.
- 9:09Pigeon 2 I see.
- 9:10Yeah.
- 9:11Very interesting.
- 9:12Google it everyone.
- 9:13Or you know, we can put some pictures on it.
- 9:15It's a picture now.
- 9:17Yeah.
- 9:18If you want to, I have no pressure.
- 9:20We should, but I feel like we should post a picture of it.
- 9:23They're like kind of cute.
- 9:25We should do a story and be like, can anyone name this bird?
- 9:29There you go.
- 9:31Cheating.
- 9:32No, changing.
- 9:33There is a hiking trail here called Elk River Trail.
- 9:38In this trail has its very own ghost town.
- 9:44Okay.
- 9:45So not the traditional ghost.
- 9:47It's just a ghost town.
- 9:50That doesn't mean it has ghosts in it.
- 9:51That just means there's no people.
- 9:53Got it.
- 9:54Right.
- 9:54Okay.
- 9:56Right.
- 9:57Here I was thinking, I'm like, is this about animal ghosts?
- 10:00Is this like puppies and kittens and is this like a patronus episode?
- 10:04Yeah, basically.
- 10:05No, I'm sorry.
- 10:07All right.
- 10:08Maybe later, no spoilers.
- 10:11The logging town of Falk formed in the 1860s was home to 400 people.
- 10:17A lot of people.
- 10:18A lot of people.
- 10:19A lot of people.
- 10:20But it was the 1860s.
- 10:21So there wasn't like that many people around.
- 10:23I mean, I guess.
- 10:24Yeah.
- 10:25I feel like I have that many cousins.
- 10:27Or they all come into the wedding.
- 10:29We're going to bring it back to the wedding.
- 10:33No, they're not invited.
- 10:36Pretty much all of my cousins.
- 10:38So we can leave that joke in because it won't be offensive to anyone.
- 10:43The town was formed when Noah Falk opened the Elk River Mill and Logging Company.
- 10:52So they were coming in and tearing all of the old growth trees down, which like back
- 10:58them.
- 10:59That's what they did.
- 11:02But thank goodness now they're protected.
- 11:04Yeah.
- 11:06The town obviously had some homes and a general store, but it also had a cook house, a post office,
- 11:13and a dance hall.
- 11:14Ooh.
- 11:15No one stopped in these lumberjacks from dancing.
- 11:18And my dancing shoes are out of here.
- 11:24Your dancing shoes.
- 11:25It reminds me of that little bonus we did.
- 11:30Yeah.
- 11:31Oh my God.
- 11:32The fight at the dance hall.
- 11:34Oh, the beaver fight.
- 11:38Join our Patreon if you must know.
- 11:40Oh my God.
- 11:41And you simply must.
- 11:43It's really good.
- 11:44That was so good.
- 11:46Like if you literally pay us a dollar for a month, just to listen to that.
- 11:49Like I think it's worth it.
- 11:51I think it's worth it.
- 11:52I mean, if you want to give us more then.
- 11:55Yeah.
- 11:56I mean, it's a gr- I just think it's like the funniest story.
- 11:58It is.
- 11:59It's a good one.
- 12:00You did a good job.
- 12:01Yay.
- 12:02Good.
- 12:03I did a good, gold star on your shoe.
- 12:06Ah.
- 12:07Once cars became more of a thing, people from the isolated town started moving to a larger
- 12:13town nearby.
- 12:15Eureka!
- 12:16Oh.
- 12:17Why did I say it like a Oprah?
- 12:21I mean, I kind of like it.
- 12:23I feel like that's how you should say Eureka.
- 12:26That's how it's pronounced, right?
- 12:27Eureka?
- 12:28Yeah.
- 12:29Okay, cool.
- 12:30And with the depression doing its damn thing, the mill closed in 1937, which it did save
- 12:39the trees and the people were moving anyway.
- 12:41So I feel like it was kind of fine.
- 12:44Yeah.
- 12:45Maybe not for the owner.
- 12:46I'm sorry Noah.
- 12:47Yeah, it's a bummer.
- 12:49If he was even still the owner, then I don't know.
- 12:51Mr. Falk.
- 12:52Yeah.
- 12:53Eventually, time and the forest decayed the abandoned buildings of Falk.
- 12:59The owners of the land couldn't have curious thrill seekers or hornetineaters all up on
- 13:06their property, fallen through floors and shit.
- 13:09You know how they are.
- 13:10Not a good time.
- 13:12So they hired caretakers, Charlie and Loleta a Webb.
- 13:17Loleta.
- 13:18Loleta.
- 13:19I think that's how you say it.
- 13:20- LOL, ETA.
- 13:23- LOL, Loleta. - ETA.
- 13:25(laughs)
- 13:28- So what's your ETA, Loleta?
- 13:29- LOL, what is your ETA?
- 13:31- It said that Charlie would chase people off
- 13:35with a shotgun, but it was a shotgun of rock salt,
- 13:38not like actual bullets.
- 13:40So that's almost worse.
- 13:42- Well I'm starting to think maybe he was chasing ghost off,
- 13:45like maybe he thought he was chasing ghost off
- 13:47and using a rock salt gun like in supernatural.
- 13:50Wait, maybe he thought he was chasing ghost off?
- 13:53- Yeah, like maybe he was seeing like humans,
- 13:56like a trespassing dude was like,
- 13:58"Oh, there's ghost off."
- 14:00(laughs)
- 14:02- I don't know, I'm not Charlie.
- 14:04- Really?
- 14:04- Yeah.
- 14:05- When he passed away, they decided since no one was around
- 14:08to take care of all the buildings,
- 14:10that they were just tear them down.
- 14:12They did leave the caretakers house
- 14:15and the railroad round house.
- 14:18- Oh, which I was like, I don't know.
- 14:19Is that like a wrestling move?
- 14:21Like a...
- 14:22(laughs)
- 14:24- I was just like, I don't know what a round house is.
- 14:28Like literally round shape?
- 14:30- Yeah, so I googled it and around houses,
- 14:33like something I asked for the trains to go through
- 14:35and it would kind of like be like a sea or like a you.
- 14:37I don't think it was totally circular.
- 14:39- Oh, it's like almost like a covered like,
- 14:44like when you go to the station,
- 14:46you're just bleeding out the...
- 14:48- Stop.
- 14:49- My God, words are so hard.
- 14:51- Quick Google, I think that's what it is.
- 14:53If it is something else, you are free to email me
- 14:56and let me know or comment or something.
- 14:58- Or if you really like our British accents,
- 15:00like we just got an email,
- 15:03I thought that emailing I wanted to talk to you about it.
- 15:05- Oh, well, I was just gonna make a comment
- 15:07about how they like our British accent.
- 15:11- Cross the pond.
- 15:12- Yeah, that's...
- 15:14- It's very good to hear that we aren't offending anyone
- 15:18too badly.
- 15:19'Cause we only mean it with love.
- 15:21We just like love accents.
- 15:23They're so fun.
- 15:24And we're boring.
- 15:25Listen to us.
- 15:27- Yikes.
- 15:28Oh, ouch.
- 15:29But thanks, Rob.
- 15:30(laughing)
- 15:32Not so much thanks, Cassie, I guess, but thanks, Rob.
- 15:37Should we do, should we just put on English accents
- 15:39all the time?
- 15:40- I don't know, it's a lot of pressure.
- 15:43The only thing I would say would be like,
- 15:45"Hello, hello."
- 15:47I don't even know what part of,
- 15:49'cause I know they're all different.
- 15:51- Yeah.
- 15:51- Sounding, tell me what part that is, Rob.
- 15:54- I don't know, I wanna say Cockney,
- 15:56but I don't know. - I wanna say Pirates of the Caribbean.
- 15:59(laughing)
- 16:00- Okay.
- 16:01- I wanna say, I know just enough to be dangerous.
- 16:03Anyways.
- 16:05- I'm here, Rob.
- 16:12Depression, decaying.
- 16:16- Yay.
- 16:16- 40-T, oh, wrestling move.
- 16:19We were talking about the rounds, okay.
- 16:20Even though the majority of the buildings are gone,
- 16:25evidence of the ghost town still remains.
- 16:29People say they can feel energy all around when they visit,
- 16:33and they feel the sense of being watched
- 16:36from the shadows.
- 16:39- I don't like that.
- 16:40That gives me like tunnel 13 vibes.
- 16:42- Yeah.
- 16:43It is just that feeling though,
- 16:45like when you're in a creepy spot,
- 16:46you kinda just like, you feel things all around you.
- 16:51- Yeah, things, things.
- 16:53- Things.
- 16:56- You can still spot building foundations and piping,
- 16:59which is kinda cool, and like, it's like,
- 17:02it reminds me of like bones coming up
- 17:04from like their grave or something,
- 17:06or maybe like decaying down into the ground.
- 17:09You just see like the leftovers of what used to be.
- 17:14- I don't know.
- 17:15- Just rambled on for a minute there.
- 17:17- Uh.
- 17:18(laughs)
- 17:20- People have found windmill parts, bottles, dishes,
- 17:25bash tubs, like literally just like creepy bath tubs
- 17:30laying in the forest.
- 17:31- Okay, will any bathtub in the forest
- 17:34is gonna be creepy?
- 17:35- But you know what I think when I see that?
- 17:37What I- - See how?
- 17:38- A Cialis commercial?
- 17:39(laughs)
- 17:41- Are you ready?
- 17:42It's time.
- 17:44- We happened upon a bathtub in the woods.
- 17:47I just think like what a cool like witchy photo shoot
- 17:49thought of me.
- 17:50- Oh, 1000%.
- 17:51But it would make a great photo shoot
- 17:53because that's undeniably weird and kinda creepy.
- 17:57- It is creepy.
- 17:58You wanna know what else is creepy?
- 17:59- Okay.
- 18:00- Finding a porcelain doll head,
- 18:02'cause those have been found on the property too.
- 18:04- No.
- 18:05- Included that just for you.
- 18:07- Yeah, no, I mean, I figured you left that in for me.
- 18:12- Just for your benefit.
- 18:14- Super.
- 18:16- Some of the things that have been found
- 18:17are on display at the Headwater's Education Center
- 18:21at the restored railroad roundhouse.
- 18:25- Oh, so that you can still see.

- 36:06- Knowing you might just fall in, like.
- 36:08- Yeah.
- 36:09- You wouldn't even need help.
- 36:10She would just sit there and be like,
- 36:11(laughing)
- 36:12"She just tripped over her own foot."
- 36:15(laughing)
- 36:17And then you would start a pod with her in the afterlife.
- 36:20- Yeah, except I'm actually...
- 36:22So, okay, I'm very clumsy and God helped me
- 36:26in so many pursuits in life, but I'm a pretty good swimmer.
- 36:30So...
- 36:31- That's great.
- 36:32That's good.
- 36:33Got that going for me.
- 36:34Not that I'm looking to test out this theory.
- 36:37- Yeah, just to be clear.
- 36:38No, thank you.
- 36:39- No, go push a gab, Lairona, rivers.
- 36:41Yeah, no, thank you.
- 36:43In 2022, at the same campground, Lake Shasta became so dry
- 36:50that a ghost boat was revealed.
- 36:53- Oh God!
- 36:54(laughing)
- 36:56- And someone sent you a picture of the ghost boat.
- 36:58It's really cool.
- 36:59- Okay, cool.
- 37:00Oh God, that means it was there when I was there.
- 37:05- What's it?
- 37:07I'm guessing, 'cause I went there before 2022.
- 37:12- This landing boat has 3117 on its side,
- 37:18which would have been a ship assigned on the attack transport
- 37:23USS Manrovia?
- 37:26- Yeah, Manrovia.
- 37:27- In World War II.
- 37:29Okay.
- 37:32- Well, tell us about things I don't really know about.
- 37:34- Yeah.
- 37:35- In World War II stuff, kind of interesting.
- 37:38- Yeah.
- 37:39- Although the bones are there, this boat is so decayed
- 37:42that they can't tell how it was actually saying.
- 37:45- Oh, the boat.
- 37:46- The bones of the boat.
- 37:47- The bones of the boat.
- 37:48- There were no people found with this boat.
- 37:51There have been bodies found with other ghost boats
- 37:56that popped up, but not here totally.
- 37:58So I picked a good ghost boat, you know?
- 38:00- Okay, yeah, that's great.
- 38:02'Cause yeah, if you could just not produce ghost boats
- 38:06and bones in bodies of water that I frequent,
- 38:11that'd be so great.
- 38:13I've only been to Shasta once.
- 38:15- Was it dry when you went?
- 38:17- Or was the boat.
- 38:19- No.
- 38:19- You were saying the boat was just under there.
- 38:21- Yeah, it must have still been under there.
- 38:23'Cause I think this was in like 20, maybe 2019.
- 38:28- Okay.
- 38:29- Yeah, I don't know.
- 38:31- Yeah, I was surprised how recent this was.
- 38:33- Yeah.
- 38:34Well, did you like the non-traditional ghosts
- 38:36I had for you today?
- 38:37- I did.
- 38:38- Where did Ghost Town, Ghost Trees, Ghost Rocksalt,
- 38:42and a Ghost Boat?
- 38:43- Yeah.
- 38:44- It's kind of cool.
- 38:45It's a lot of spooky stuff.
- 38:47- And we have a very spooky, alter goin on.
- 38:50- You did it up today.
- 38:52- Yeah.
- 38:53- Should we light this bitch up and do some tarot?

- 38:56- Let's do it.
- 38:57- You guys, we have something really exciting

- 39:27but he was only sentenced to five months of probation.
- 39:32And this would be the last time that anyone ever saw a fear.
- 39:36There are allegedly two women
- 39:38who also drowned in the first month's school.
- 39:41- What's this the same glowing green
- 39:43they'd seen in the darkness the night before?
- 39:45- He had refused to sit near the wagon cloth
- 39:50because of stains on it, which were most likely blood.
- 39:53Join us every Tuesday for a glass of wine
- 39:56or sangria and a dose of true crime.

- 40:16in California with redwood trees
- 40:20and all kinds of different kinds of ghosties.
- 40:25Do you have any feelings or no,
- 40:31it's gonna be this one.
- 40:32Sorry, you don't get any feelings.
- 40:34- No.
- 40:35- I actually, I don't.
- 40:36I was looking at the back of your head.
- 40:38(laughing)
- 40:39- I know, isn't it gorgeous?
- 40:41- Yeah, just 'cause it was my head in the way.
- 40:43- Yeah.
- 40:44- I got the six of sticks.
- 40:46Pick up sticks.
- 40:48- Six of ones?
- 40:51- Yeah.
- 40:52- Six of ones.
- 40:53- There's sandhill cranes on it.
- 40:56- Beautiful.
- 40:57- Yeah, that's fabulous.
- 40:58- And then I'll let you read the description
- 41:00in our modern witch tarot book.
- 41:03- Yeah.
- 41:04- And then I'll read the one,
- 41:05the little cute story from the Pacific Northwest tarot.
- 41:08- I love it.
- 41:10Keywords are victory, success, recognition, and satisfaction.
- 41:15- Okay.
- 41:18The six of ones is the victory card.
- 41:21You've faced challenges, won the fight
- 41:25and deserve the accolades you receive.
- 41:28Success and good fortune are yours.
- 41:31- I feel like this is about like the trees,
- 41:33'cause they were all getting chopped down.
- 41:35And then they regroup, they regroup.
- 41:38They took over these buildings of people
- 41:41that were trampling all over there.
- 41:43- Yeah.
- 41:43- Inirds.
- 41:44- They've reclaimed the earth.
- 41:46- Yeah.
- 41:46- Yeah.
- 41:48- Victory.
- 41:49- Victory.
- 41:50- Well, when in the end?
- 41:52- I win, you lose.
- 41:54Too bad, so sad.
- 41:55- Okay, and we dig at the sub-rate, correct?
- 42:01Okay.
- 42:02The six of ones promises a time of happiness and fulfillment.
- 42:07You've martyled your energies during times of struggle
- 42:10and overcome obstacles.
- 42:12Now you're on top and can accept recognition and rewards.
- 42:17- They're on top, 'cause they're really tall.
- 42:21And their recognition and reward is like having a sanctuary,
- 42:25a reserve to protect them.
- 42:27- Yeah.
- 42:29- In 49 state parks dedicated to redwoods.
- 42:32- Yeah.
- 42:33- That's an insane number.
- 42:34- Yeah.
- 42:35I mean, it's great.
- 42:36It is in the song of our nation or whatever, so.
- 42:39- It's true.
- 42:40- I mean, it's kind of a big deal.
- 42:42(laughs)
- 42:43- I don't like to brag, but I'm kind of a big deal.
- 42:46I'm like a national park.
- 42:47You feel good about yourself and your accomplishments.
- 42:52Sometimes this card shows recovery from an illness
- 42:56or setback.
- 42:57- Enough said.
- 42:59- You nailed it.
- 43:00- I know.
- 43:01- You nailed it.
- 43:02- Usually do.
- 43:03- Pretty much always.
- 43:06- In a reading about money,
- 43:08you can expect financial success.
- 43:11A long-term investment may pay off now
- 43:13or you may receive a raise slash bonus.
- 43:18- Arraise like growing.
- 43:20(laughs)
- 43:23- A bonus, like a little,
- 43:25- Like a little grown.
- 43:26- A little grocery,
- 43:27- Gosty growth,
- 43:28- attachment.
- 43:29- In a reading about work,
- 43:32this card can mean getting a promotion,
- 43:35receiving respect for your efforts,
- 43:38or seeing a creative project come to fruition.
- 43:42- Fruition.
- 43:43- Like fruit.
- 43:44- Yeah.
- 43:45- Like a fruit tree.
- 43:46- I'm also gonna take it as this is a reading for us too.
- 43:51- I love it.
- 43:52(laughs)
- 43:53- If you guys want it, you can take it too.
- 43:55- Yeah.
- 43:55(laughs)
- 43:56- Enjoy your well-deserved success.
- 43:59- We will.
- 44:00- Okay.
- 44:01- So we'll let you guys know.
- 44:02- So we'll let you guys know.
- 44:03- In a reading about love,
- 44:04the upright six indicates a time of happiness, love,
- 44:08and cooperation in a relationship.
- 44:11If you're seeking a partner,
- 44:14this card offers encouragement for true love.
- 44:18- I think like the trees are looking for a partner in humans.
- 44:22- In humans.
- 44:23- Yeah.
- 44:23- And like we need to love each other
- 44:25and respect each other and treat each other kindly.
- 44:27- Yeah.
- 44:28- Like in a good relationship.
- 44:29- Also, Cassie and Trees sitting in a tree,
- 44:34K-I-S-S-S-I-N-G.
- 44:36- Did anyone realize how ironic it is
- 44:39that I talk about how much I love trees
- 44:41and then also how much I love lumberjacks.
- 44:43(laughs)
- 44:45- It's like very, yeah.
- 44:47- Two things can be true.
- 44:48Okay, you contain multitude.
- 44:51- I'm a paradox.
- 44:51- It's okay.
- 44:52- Yeah.
- 44:53- Is that the right use of that word or is that wrong?
- 44:54- I think so.
- 44:55- I learn that word from Taylor Swift.
- 44:57(laughs)
- 44:58(laughs)
- 45:01- Your other true love.
- 45:02(laughs)
- 45:04Okay, I have an extra excerpt.
- 45:06It says, "Card of triumph."
- 45:11The thought-tiro labels, "The Six of Wands Victory."
- 45:15The writer, "Way Smith" Dak shows a triumph at Horseman,
- 45:19writing at the head of a jubilant procession.
- 45:22Salvador Dolly, however,
- 45:24takes a different approach in his deck.
- 45:27- It's surprising no one.
- 45:28- Ruler.
- 45:29- You don't say.
- 45:30- 'Cause he was such a straight lady.
- 45:32- Straight lady, she was right.
- 45:33(laughs)
- 45:35- His Horseman rides alone signifying an inner qu-
- 45:39- Wow.
- 45:41- Signifying an inner conquest rather than
- 45:43besting an opponent in the outer world.
- 45:47Hmm.
- 45:48Interesting.
- 45:50- Maybe that's like relating to the Lairona ghost.
- 45:54- Ooh.
- 45:55- Which is he?
- 45:56- That kinda reminds me too.
- 45:57In the card, I was like, "Oh, I think they're flying over water."
- 46:01Oh.
- 46:02Yeah. - I'm not really good at it.
- 46:04- They're cranes.
- 46:05- Or they just up in the clouds or is this water?
- 46:08I can't tell.
- 46:09- You know, I think that's interesting
- 46:11because it does sort of seem like it's open to interpretation.
- 46:14- Interesting. - I feel like
- 46:16you could make an argument for either.
- 46:18- 'Cause we did talk about like the Lairona ghost,
- 46:20she's at the river, and then we talked about the ghost boat too.
- 46:24- So it's like you're either up in the trees above the clouds
- 46:27or you're like above the water,
- 46:29and we talked about both those things.
- 46:30- Yeah.
- 46:31- Ain't that cool.
- 46:33- Interesting.
- 46:34Yeah, we might have to put in the caption
- 46:37for this week's tarot, like, "Hey, weigh in.
- 46:40Are they above the clouds or are they above a body of water?"
- 46:43- Yeah.
- 46:44- 'Cause I'm curious how people see that.
- 46:47- Me too.
- 46:48- How they interpret it.
- 46:49- Me too.
- 46:49- I wanna know.
- 46:51- I wanna pick your all brains.
- 46:52- Your all creepy brains.
- 46:53- Get in there and pick a rail.
- 46:55- Yeah.
- 46:56- Root around in there.
- 46:57- Yeah.
- 46:58- Like a little bottomy.
- 46:59- It's a little bit nicer.
- 47:00(laughs)
- 47:01- We would never lobotomize you guys.
- 47:03We love you too much.
- 47:05- Yeah.
- 47:06- Okay, tell me a story.
- 47:08- Okay.
- 47:09Success due to strong leadership, victory,
- 47:11and its recognition, praise, confidence, pride.
- 47:14Kind of basically the same.
- 47:15Things that you talked about.
- 47:17- Mm-hmm.
- 47:18- And this is the little story.
- 47:20She wasn't always the leader,
- 47:23but still she felt the weight of responsibility.
- 47:26Knowing her turn would come.
- 47:27When she took the front,
- 47:30she would spread her wings almost siblings.
- 47:32(laughs)
- 47:34When she took the front, she would spread her wings wide,
- 47:37shaping the air to ease the passage of the cranes behind her.
- 47:41- Oh.
- 47:42- Oh.
- 47:43- She would read the winds,
- 47:45finding the updrafts and tailwinds
- 47:47that would carry them higher
- 47:48and further despite their fatigue.
- 47:52- It reminds me of how you said all the trees were connected.
- 47:55- That's literally what I was thinking.
- 47:57- The big trees are helping the little growth trees
- 48:00to fix day alive.
- 48:02- Yeah, like a flock could be very similar in a sense
- 48:06to sort of how a network of trees, their roots
- 48:11and how they interact with each other
- 48:14in a way that none of us can even see.
- 48:16- Interesting.
- 48:18- I love it.
- 48:19- Nature is so cool.
- 48:21She would scan the ground,
- 48:23seeking the safety and restoration of a hidden pond
- 48:27rich with frogs and snails.
- 48:29(laughs)
- 48:31She would shepherd the formation of cranes
- 48:34to their destination,
- 48:36the warm wetland where they would survive the winter.
- 48:39She would guide them and they would succeed.
- 48:43The crane in front of her pealed off
- 48:45rotating through the rest of the split stream behind.
- 48:48It was her turn to lead now
- 48:49and she took it without hesitation.
- 48:52- Oh, that's so cute.
- 48:54- Yeah, those stories are really fun.
- 48:56- I like them. - Yeah.
- 48:58- Yeah.
- 48:59Do you guys like them?
- 49:00- I may know.
- 49:01- Do you guys like trees?
- 49:02- Nobody likes trees as much as you do, I think.
- 49:05- Basically the world's top tree expert.
- 49:09- Yeah.
- 49:10- What's a tree expert called?
- 49:11- A tree expert to man.
- 49:18- Well, tree arborist.
- 49:21- Arborist.
- 49:22- Is that like a tree expert though,
- 49:24or is that just people that trim trees?
- 49:26- I don't know, Google it.
- 49:26We have to know.
- 49:27- A botanist is just stuck in my head.
- 49:29- A botanist is a myth.
- 49:30- And I think it's like all plants.
- 49:32- Well, that's what I was gonna say.
- 49:33I don't think that's right.
- 49:35Oh, I like this.
- 49:37Okay.
- 49:38- I'm excited.
- 49:39- An arborist tree surgeon or less commonly,
- 49:43arboriculturist is a professional in the practice
- 49:47of arboriculture, which is the cultivation management
- 49:51and study of individual trees, shrubs, vines,
- 49:55and other perennial woody plants in dendrology
- 50:00and quarter culture.
- 50:03- Nice.
- 50:04- So I thought that arborist referred more so to somebody
- 50:07who does it in like a practical, like a trade sense.
- 50:11- Oh, I see.
- 50:12- Yeah.
- 50:13- Nice.
- 50:14- Okay, so that's right.
- 50:15We already knew the word.
- 50:16- Yeah.
- 50:17- You know?
- 50:18- It was rattling around in there.
- 50:20- You know what?
- 50:21We're not just harrots.
- 50:21Okay.
- 50:22- Yeah.
- 50:23- I don't wear hats.
- 50:25So how could it be, you know?
- 50:27- I just bought a hat.
- 50:29I own, I think two hats.
- 50:32- Two hats?
- 50:34- I never wear them.
- 50:35I did wear them when I was like in a car with no top.
- 50:38'Cause like your hair, so you were riding around
- 50:41in the car top.
- 50:42- Thanks.
- 50:43- And you thought the hat would make it better?
- 50:44- I had two hats and I was like,
- 50:46(laughing)
- 50:48the car had no top.
- 50:50My top was on.
- 50:51Also I had a hat on.
- 50:52But no, I just, 'cause I've been walking
- 50:54and it's been very sunny and I've just been like wearing sunglasses.
- 50:57It's a complaining that the sun is coming through my sunglasses
- 50:59through the top.
- 51:00- Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 51:01- What?
- 51:02There has to be an invention.
- 51:03There has to be an invention.
- 51:04- There's too many things to do.
- 51:05- And I was like, why don't I, I literally saw some girl
- 51:09looking real cute walking by me with a hat and I was like,
- 51:11(laughing)
- 51:14that's what people do.
- 51:15- Yeah.
- 51:16I'm sure some people do.
- 51:18Hats typically give me alien head.
- 51:21I don't know.
- 51:22I feel very dissociative when I wear hats.
- 51:24- Yeah.
- 51:25I don't know how it goes.
- 51:26I don't know if I'll be able to keep wearing it,
- 51:27but we're gonna try it 'cause it's a really cute hat.
- 51:30I got two girls one ghost hat.
- 51:34- Woo!
- 51:35- It's a little ghost girl on the front.
- 51:37- Yeah, thank you.
- 51:37- And like it has a little ghosty on the back.
- 51:39- Don't kill them.
- 51:40- So cute.
- 51:41- Yeah.
- 51:42They're here with us right now.
- 51:43You really aren't really tall,
- 51:44but in the background I have my TGOG.
- 51:47- Hi, Corinne and Sabrina.
- 51:48- Hi, poster.
- 51:49Yeah.
- 51:51Anyway, well, bunsy's.
- 51:53- Is that all we got?
- 51:54I think we're in so none.
- 51:56- Yeah.
- 51:57- Right?
- 51:58- We're like, we're up.
- 51:58- My little animal bones on my altar.
- 51:59- She has so many bones, you guys.
- 52:01I'm so glad that she brought so many bones for the altar
- 52:06to my house.
- 52:07- I got those from through the veil.
- 52:08It came in like a little sack of bones
- 52:10and your especially like youth like throw them
- 52:12or you like a reach in and pick them out.
- 52:14- Almost like a charm casting type.
- 52:16- Yeah, it's like a creepy charm casting.
- 52:18For sure.
- 52:18- I too have charms.
- 52:22- You're very charming.
- 52:23- You're made of zero bones.
- 52:24- I love bones.
- 52:27- I know.
- 52:27- You find bones in the forest.
- 52:29- Yeah.
- 52:30- We talk about the bones of the boat.
- 52:32- True.
- 52:33- Like the bones of the houses
- 52:35that were left behind from the ghost town.
- 52:37- Yeah.
- 52:38- I just like to relate everything back to everything else.
- 52:41- Yeah.
- 52:42Well, I would like to relate this back to when I told you
- 52:46that I had a realization suddenly
- 52:48as we were setting up the altar that,
- 52:51oh, I've never really understood this,
- 52:54but if I really am someone who's a little bit sensitive,
- 52:59maybe it makes sense that I don't really like
- 53:04interacting with bones.
- 53:07- Yeah.
- 53:08- 'Cause that has to just carry a lot of energy.
- 53:12And I can't even bring myself to touch bones.
- 53:16It's, I'm very weird about it.
- 53:19And she's just over there like cupping them.
- 53:23Okay, let me, I want to hold it
- 53:24and feel its energy 'cause I haven't really done that.
- 53:27- Mm.
- 53:27- And I was telling Caitlin,
- 53:29I can't remember what kind of school this is.
- 53:31That looks like a snake.
- 53:35- They have skulls?
- 53:36- They have skulls.
- 53:36- I mean, snakes have skulls, but I'm not sure if this was,
- 53:41I don't really prefer--
- 53:41- I really prefer--
- 53:42- I really prefer things.
- 53:43I really prefer not to think about anything's bones.
- 53:47So my apologies if that was a stupid suggestion.
- 53:52I want you to sit here and you're just
- 53:54comfort with me and think about these bones, Caitlyn.
- 53:57Ooh, ooh, ooh.
- 54:00Have you ever just held bones in your hand before?
- 54:03- No, no, I have not.
- 54:07I can say that I definitely have not.
- 54:11(laughs)
- 54:12- Interesting.
- 54:13- I mean, I think I have, but I don't know.
- 54:15It's just, there's, there's feeling about it.
- 54:18- Yeah.
- 54:19- Because you think it really I pitched sometimes.
- 54:21- Yeah, well, you're excited.
- 54:22- Yeah, it's interesting.
- 54:25- Mm.
- 54:26- Anyway.
- 54:27- Well, I love it for you.
- 54:28- I just feel like it's too intense for me
- 54:30and I'm not even sure exactly why,
- 54:33but I feel like I just got like a little bit of a,
- 54:36of a, I don't know, a pizzeria today.
- 54:39When we were setting that up and I was like,
- 54:41I really feel averse to this.
- 54:43And I feel like it makes sense.
- 54:45- And it makes sense that I like it.
- 54:47- Yeah.
- 54:48- Like, 'cause nothing ever.
- 54:49- Even though I'm sensitive, but like in a different way.
- 54:52- Yeah.
- 54:53- Like it doesn't scare me kind of.
- 54:54(laughs)
- 54:56- Well, also I'm the one who gets like the creepy cold feeling
- 55:01in, you know,
- 55:03yeah, it's like, hello.
- 55:05I know you don't wish to speak to me,
- 55:07so I desire nothing more than to carry on a full length
- 55:12conversation with you.
- 55:14- You've had a full length conversation with the ghost.
- 55:16- No.
- 55:17- That's like, first story.
- 55:18- That's just what it feels like every time I have like any sort of,
- 55:20(laughs)
- 55:21like that, I thought we were conversing for ages.
- 55:24It's very taxing.
- 55:28It's very, it's been comfortable.
- 55:29- 84 years.
- 55:30- Yeah.
- 55:31- Exactly.
- 55:32All right, well, we can say goodbye here
- 55:37and go move along to our next recording of the day.
- 55:41- Oh, are we gonna record for?
- 55:44- If you want.
- 55:45- Check it.
- 55:46- I'm just kidding.
- 55:47- I'm not in charge.
- 55:48- Wait, who's in charge here?
- 55:51She's like, okay, okay, the bones are in charge.
- 55:54- Great.
- 55:55- Bones are in charge.
- 55:56(laughs)
- 55:58- All right, let's do it.
- 55:59- All right.
- 56:01- Have a creepy ass day.
- 56:04See you next Tuesday.
- 56:05- See you next Tuesday.
- 56:07- I won't have bones next time.
- 56:08- Yeah.
- 56:10- Maybe.
- 56:11- No promise.
- 56:11- I will still be sitting here without cupping bones.
- 56:15- Who knows, I might be off in the Redwood Forest,
- 56:20cupping bones, sitting up in the tree,
- 56:22waiting for my lumberjack.
- 56:24(laughs)
- 56:25- I'm gonna,
- 56:25that's the wichiest thing that I can really picture for you.
- 56:29- So, then like, plot twist later, I am the lumberjack.
- 56:33And I save myself.
- 56:35- Wait.
- 56:37Were you needing saving in that scenario?
- 56:40- I don't know, I was up in a tree
- 56:42and I said, waiting for my lumberjack to come save me.
- 56:44- I know, because now I'm like, okay,
- 56:46now I'm picturing her as a kitten.
- 56:48So, all right, well.
- 56:49- I mean, all right.
- 56:51(laughs)
- 56:51- All right.
- 56:52- Okay, we can go.
- 56:53- Love it.
- 56:54Bye guys, bye.
- 56:55- You're creepy.
- 56:56(upbeat music)
- 56:59(upbeat music)
- 57:02- She would scan the ground, seeking for safety.
- 57:05And I like skip words like the,
- 57:09an A, all the time, and it's so annoying.
- 57:11- You're like,
- 57:12you're like Kevin from the office.
- 57:14- I,
- 57:15(laughs)
- 57:17- When, thank you.
- 57:18(laughs)
- 57:19- No, you remember the skid I'm loving about.
- 57:22- You're loving the chilly on your carpet.
- 57:23- Oh my God.
- 57:25As long as it's not on my shoes.
- 57:28(laughs)
- 57:30- I'm gonna come Kevin and around
- 57:31with a big bodicellion,
- 57:33spill 'em on your wedding shoe.
- 57:34(laughs)
- 57:35- We didn't talk about earlier,
- 57:37where we're like, oh, we can't eat around your shoes.
- 57:39'Cause I'll probably be the one to spill shit on now.
- 57:42- I was really worried I was gonna spill style
- 57:44addressing something.
- 57:46- I would be.
- 57:47- Yeah.
- 57:48- Also way to bring it back to your shoes.
- 57:49- Yeah, I mean, everything comes back to the shoes.
- 57:51You know what I mean?
- 57:52(laughs)
