- 0:03Speaker 1: his gangster grill S drops Friday Gangs to Grills, Geeperico, Welcome.
- 0:11Speaker 1: First of all, things are going very well, as I
- 0:14Speaker 1: see you have a brand new necklace that is massive
- 0:18Speaker 1: compared to previous enterprise clickchains. Yeah, the last one is
- 0:23Speaker 1: like just one of these letters. Yeah, that's why I
- 0:28Speaker 1: did it. People was giving me shit about I'm usually
- 0:32Speaker 1: good at drowning out outside noise, but like I was
- 0:35Speaker 1: getting roasted from my you know, because it was too small. Yeah. Yeah,
- 0:39Speaker 1: I usually I was getting roasted for uh, for my piece.
- 0:43Speaker 1: You know. I was just keeping it modest on the grind.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So let me just how much was this? It was?
- 0:52Speaker 1: It was a nice It was a pretty manny north
- 0:55Speaker 1: of fifty. Yeah. Wow. You know you you strike me
- 0:59Speaker 1: as the kind of guy who doesn't do stupid things
- 1:01Speaker 1: with your money outside of buy cars, because you do
- 1:04Speaker 1: have a car problem. Yeah, I definitely have a I
- 1:08Speaker 1: was just talking to my business manager I wanted to
- 1:10Speaker 1: get a made back the other day, and she like,
- 1:15Speaker 1: you just bought the necklace. Old damn, this was already coming. Okay, okay, okay, yeah,
- 1:20Speaker 1: how many cars you have now? Uh, I'm low right now,
- 1:24Speaker 1: and then did a lot of flip totaling out and shit, jesus,
- 1:30Speaker 1: are you license fucked up? Man? That's gonna say? Is
- 1:32Speaker 1: it safe to see you're a bad driver who loves
- 1:34Speaker 1: cars because I'm a bad driver. I just don't want cars. Yeah,
- 1:37Speaker 1: I'm not the best driver. It is exciting to ride
- 1:41Speaker 1: with me, though, That's one thing I could say. Is
- 1:45Speaker 1: it dangerous? Noah? Noa noa, noah No. I mean the
- 1:48Speaker 1: worst thing that happened with me my lip, my tooth
- 1:51Speaker 1: went through my lip, and ship that's not too bad.
- 1:53Speaker 1: It's pretty bad. Yeah. Yeah. So are you currently allowed
- 1:56Speaker 1: to drive technically? Nah? So I don't drive, right, you
- 2:02Speaker 1: don't drive? Yeah? The homies d off? So who's that
- 2:05Speaker 1: you don't? You can't even get car insurance if you wanted.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Huh I got insurance in your name? Yeah? Oh I
- 2:12Speaker 1: got insurance. Well, they usually like how many points are
- 2:14Speaker 1: on your license. I think I'm gonna point away from
- 2:18Speaker 1: just being like fucked up for a while. But I've
- 2:20Speaker 1: been good all year, so I'm actually getting everything situated
- 2:25Speaker 1: this upcoming week, so we gotta I'm gonna be that
- 2:28Speaker 1: good back Golden You've been dropping a lot. I wouldn't
- 2:32Speaker 1: say that, man, I feel like I kind of like, no,
- 2:35Speaker 1: I mean, I just feel like you've been applying like
- 2:37Speaker 1: NonStop pressure. Man. Like it's it's moderate, it's pretty hey,
- 2:43Speaker 1: you know it's it's nice. It's moderate. We're gonna get
- 2:46Speaker 1: heavy though, We're getting heavy after this. Well, that's what
- 2:48Speaker 1: I keep hearing, right, I keep hearing that you have
- 2:50Speaker 1: like this body of work that you're working on that's
- 2:52Speaker 1: like the real album. Yeah, at the end of like
- 2:55Speaker 1: some crazy singles, you got crazy features. But you've been
- 3:00Speaker 1: just throwing out kind of like these projects. Yeah, you're independent.
- 3:03Speaker 1: You do what you want now, you know, right, right,
- 3:05Speaker 1: So the end of the year, I'm working on like
- 3:07Speaker 1: that project that's like that thing that's gonna be timeless,
- 3:13Speaker 1: not for the time, you know what I mean. So
- 3:16Speaker 1: I've been I've been working on that for a minute.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I've heard the names that are supposed to be on
- 3:21Speaker 1: that project. Yeah, it's a few, it's a few good Yeah,
- 3:24Speaker 1: it's a few good men on there. I heard you
- 3:26Speaker 1: get some get some big names in. There's big features.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It's a few good man's care to share. It's feeling good, Uh,
- 3:33Speaker 1: when it's time. Well, because I okay, because I know
- 3:36Speaker 1: when it's time, we'll drop the bomb for sure. How
- 3:39Speaker 1: did the Gangster girls thing happen? Lake Chezy? So Lake Yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 1: Lake Chezy twenty twenty one when I uh just like
- 3:51Speaker 1: got made my mind up and got focused and start
- 3:54Speaker 1: doing it, like just start connecting immediately on the underground,
- 3:58Speaker 1: and Lake Cheesy have been and hollering at me and
- 4:01Speaker 1: I had it was a few like La Summers. Tool
- 4:03Speaker 1: was supposed to be a Gangster Grills, but I just
- 4:05Speaker 1: didn't feel like I wanted it to be a like
- 4:10Speaker 1: I wanted to be a Gangster Grills when I make
- 4:12Speaker 1: a Gangster Grills, so I wanted to feel like a
- 4:15Speaker 1: mixtape but like an album at the same time. So
- 4:18Speaker 1: that's what this hot shot is. But the conversation been
- 4:21Speaker 1: going on for a year. And the crazy thing is,
- 4:25Speaker 1: you know Lake reached out to me. You know, usually
- 4:28Speaker 1: it's people like man, I need a Gangster Grills, dying
- 4:30Speaker 1: for it, and it's always been a goal of mine
- 4:34Speaker 1: because when I was growing up, Gangster Grills was that ship.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Of course, that's all you heard. So like, this is
- 4:40Speaker 1: definitely something off the bucket list, and you know, Lake
- 4:44Speaker 1: was hitting me, but I didn't really think nothing of it.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm just thinking he's saluting, Hey, we should
- 4:49Speaker 1: do a project. And you know how to end well.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Lake ain't an industry, Nigga industry for sure, but you
- 4:55Speaker 1: know how a lot of people just be like, Hey,
- 4:56Speaker 1: let's work, let's do something. It never happens so and really, like,
- 5:02Speaker 1: really just take it too serious. And then I was
- 5:05Speaker 1: in I'm in fucking Vegas taking my daughter. I took
- 5:09Speaker 1: my daughter shopping. I'm in the area and I'm running
- 5:15Speaker 1: down to what's that javierss Mexican Spider. So I'm upstairs
- 5:19Speaker 1: in the room, tired, just tore down for my daughter,
- 5:23Speaker 1: and I'm like, I'm hungry. I ain't ate shit all day.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I rushed down the Javiers to see if the kitchen
- 5:30Speaker 1: is still open. Somebody yanked my arm. I'm like, who
- 5:34Speaker 1: the fuck is this? It's an LB cousin. I go
- 5:37Speaker 1: to the back LB and them runts LB jokes up. Man.
- 5:41Speaker 1: They got the whole back of the restaurant sold up right.
- 5:45Speaker 1: So I sit there. I don't even have to order shit,
- 5:47Speaker 1: it's food everywhere I'm eating. And I met this guy
- 5:51Speaker 1: named Rob Liddy. He own a company called Liddy. He like,
- 5:55Speaker 1: what you doing? Paid me to do a private party?
- 5:58Speaker 1: Like and it was like, like, damn near more than
- 6:02Speaker 1: what I get paid for a lot of shows. I
- 6:04Speaker 1: only did two verses. But Jeezi was also performing there
- 6:09Speaker 1: and GZ camera guy I know him from going to
- 6:13Speaker 1: uh to a drama in the studio and shit right,
- 6:17Speaker 1: and he's like, man, what's up when that gangster grill's
- 6:19Speaker 1: coming out? That's what he tell me. And I'm like,
- 6:22Speaker 1: gangster grills? What you mean? And he like, yeah, Druma
- 6:25Speaker 1: and Lake been talking about it. I said, oh, this
- 6:27Speaker 1: shit is serious, right, So that's when I'm like, yeah,
- 6:31Speaker 1: let's get this shit done. And did you have do
- 6:33Speaker 1: you don't have to pay drama for that? Uh? It's love,
- 6:37Speaker 1: it's love. It was love. We definitely gave up a
- 6:41Speaker 1: few dollars, but nothing nowhere to what it was. Just
- 6:44Speaker 1: like the money I gave him was just a token
- 6:47Speaker 1: of my appreciation. Yeah yeah, but it was like what
- 6:50Speaker 1: he get like, it was like not even a fucking
- 6:53Speaker 1: tenth for that shit? Right? So did Lake try to
- 6:57Speaker 1: sign you the generation? Now? Nah? We never had a
- 7:00Speaker 1: conversation like that, but you know, I got the full
- 7:04Speaker 1: support and all that. So but it is, you know,
- 7:07Speaker 1: something possibility scheme for a while, you know, yeah, yeah,
- 7:10Speaker 1: it's definitely a possibility. But I'm just man, I'm enjoying
- 7:15Speaker 1: Empire and Perrico's enterprise, Like yep, I'm fucking like in
- 7:19Speaker 1: the best position I've ever been. Like, fame wise, it's whatever,
- 7:24Speaker 1: but like, you know, financials and the shit that I
- 7:27Speaker 1: could do and the type of different business calls I'm getting,
- 7:31Speaker 1: especially with this thing where everybody's selling catalog and shit, yeah,
- 7:35Speaker 1: I've been getting these like no boys, shit, no exaggeration,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I've been getting like multi million dollar offers for your catalog. Yeah,
- 7:44Speaker 1: and it's like I feel like I ain't even hit
- 7:48Speaker 1: that fucking peak or got to a place where we
- 7:51Speaker 1: invested because I haven't spent no money on marketing or
- 7:54Speaker 1: anything at all yet. Yeah. Because how okay, So since
- 7:59Speaker 1: leeveen Rock Nation, how many projects have you dropped with Empire?
- 8:02Speaker 1: Because it's been two and a half three years now,
- 8:06Speaker 1: it's been two years exactly, well two years and a
- 8:08Speaker 1: month exactly in that time. How many projects do you
- 8:13Speaker 1: I think we at like fifteen or something like that.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Jesus So the multimillion dollar deal is for those fifteen Nah,
- 8:20Speaker 1: it's just for uh or for your twenty twenty one.
- 8:23Speaker 1: It was just for the twenty twenty one catalog. So
- 8:27Speaker 1: all the shit I did in twenty twenty one, did
- 8:29Speaker 1: you turn it down? Yeah? Yeah, respectfully, you know, and
- 8:35Speaker 1: then you know, if it's the opportunity is still there,
- 8:37Speaker 1: we'll circle back around. But you like you could be like, yeah,
- 8:41Speaker 1: fuck twenty twenty one, take that, take the bread, and
- 8:43Speaker 1: then you know, just running up in twenty twenty two
- 8:45Speaker 1: and twenty twenty three, and nah, for sure, for sure,
- 8:47Speaker 1: it's a It was like a great feeling to know
- 8:52Speaker 1: that that's there, and also like it got me looking
- 8:55Speaker 1: at the board a little bit different and setting goals
- 8:58Speaker 1: a little bit different because it's like, like I said,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I haven't spent any money on marketing, right, so I
- 9:03Speaker 1: got money. Let me invest some money in marketing and
- 9:06Speaker 1: some of this old shit because it's really not that old.
- 9:09Speaker 1: People got songs, it's three years old. They're fuck around
- 9:12Speaker 1: to go viral and catch for sure, it's happening all
- 9:15Speaker 1: the time. Yeah, so let me put a Now it's like,
- 9:18Speaker 1: let me put some effort into marketing this old shit
- 9:22Speaker 1: while I'm still dropping some new shit because I feel
- 9:25Speaker 1: like I haven't maxed out the situation. It's like, if
- 9:28Speaker 1: I could get that, then you know, why not try
- 9:30Speaker 1: to get fucking fifteen to twenty million. Do you feel
- 9:34Speaker 1: like you could ever do the major label thing because
- 9:37Speaker 1: you've been so like I feel like you've been thriving
- 9:41Speaker 1: on being under empire, being in a situation where you
- 9:44Speaker 1: call your shots. You could drop it any time you want. Yeah,
- 9:48Speaker 1: the major the major thing isn't for me, just how
- 9:51Speaker 1: just the type of person that I am and how
- 9:53Speaker 1: I grew up Like bro, I got like a serious
- 9:56Speaker 1: problem with authority, you know what I mean. You put
- 10:00Speaker 1: yourself in a major situation. It worked for every It
- 10:03Speaker 1: worked for different people, so everybody thing is different. But
- 10:06Speaker 1: for me specifically, I hate having to go explain why
- 10:11Speaker 1: my record is tight and why it might work and
- 10:14Speaker 1: why it's necessary when it's clearly this is what I'm
- 10:17Speaker 1: in the building for for what I do, you know
- 10:19Speaker 1: what I mean? So I don't think the Major thing
- 10:22Speaker 1: is my It's not my cup of tea at all.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Because even before I signed, they was giving me one
- 10:28Speaker 1: hundred grand for a project. For each project, and I
- 10:31Speaker 1: was just coming out you know what I mean. It's
- 10:34Speaker 1: because I understand business in the hustle. So I had
- 10:39Speaker 1: what I realized when I signed the Rock Nation already
- 10:42Speaker 1: had everything that a label got besides radio, already had
- 10:47Speaker 1: my own digital marketing team. I already had my own
- 10:49Speaker 1: PR and then I got you know, I'm the strategic partner.
- 10:54Speaker 1: So it's like I pretty much got like the meat
- 10:56Speaker 1: and bones of what a label did, because all I
- 10:59Speaker 1: did was signed, and you know that's another story, but yeah,
- 11:04Speaker 1: I never I never signed to a major ever, pretty
- 11:08Speaker 1: much been just giving you an advance. At that point,
- 11:10Speaker 1: It's like I'm signing for an advance and radio play
- 11:13Speaker 1: that never happened, right, And I'm in it. I'm not
- 11:15Speaker 1: in it for the fame, like I'm in it because
- 11:17Speaker 1: I like to make music, but I love to hustle
- 11:20Speaker 1: and be able to do. I love to be active,
- 11:23Speaker 1: and I love challenges and shit, so like, I don't
- 11:26Speaker 1: want to put myself in another situation where the challenges
- 11:30Speaker 1: me just getting music put out and then if the
- 11:33Speaker 1: shit don't perform how it expected, then everybody moving on
- 11:38Speaker 1: to the fucking other one hundred thousand artists that I
- 11:42Speaker 1: don't fuck that like I'm in it. Like I was
- 11:45Speaker 1: gonna say, like, like, you're obviously famous, right, You're not
- 11:50Speaker 1: like a superstar, but like you know, amongst the West
- 11:54Speaker 1: Coast hip hop world, you are one of them ones,
- 11:57Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Yeah, but pretty much any
- 11:59Speaker 1: city y'all hit, somebody gonna notice men, Right. But I
- 12:02Speaker 1: do feel like a lot of artists they get into
- 12:04Speaker 1: this shit and they focus on the wrong shit, which
- 12:06Speaker 1: is like being famous or oh man, the look academics
- 12:09Speaker 1: ain't post me or all that type of shit. And
- 12:12Speaker 1: it's like, I feel like you're doing so much better
- 12:14Speaker 1: than a lot of these guys because you kind of
- 12:16Speaker 1: are approaching the game from a whole different perspective, Like
- 12:20Speaker 1: you're putting your money in the right shit. You're like
- 12:23Speaker 1: using the music as a vehicle to set up like
- 12:26Speaker 1: long term wealth. You know what I'm saying exactly. I'm
- 12:29Speaker 1: in it for the long game because that's where that's
- 12:31Speaker 1: where the money is at in the long game. And
- 12:33Speaker 1: I think a lot of artists got like this Cinderella
- 12:38Speaker 1: idealism in their head, which it also stemmed from the streets.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Think about it in the streets. I'm broke one day,
- 12:45Speaker 1: I fuck around and hit a lickt and then I'm
- 12:47Speaker 1: up shining the next day, you know what I mean? Now,
- 12:51Speaker 1: Like business, business don't work like that. You gotta put
- 12:54Speaker 1: in the footwork and really grind it out. So a
- 12:57Speaker 1: lot of people do it to get that advance and
- 12:59Speaker 1: to get shipped like this and this, and then be
- 13:01Speaker 1: broke and then and then get to complaining about a
- 13:05Speaker 1: situation that they took you signed. It's like, yo, you complaining,
- 13:08Speaker 1: but you signed the paperwork, right, You know what I mean?
- 13:11Speaker 1: For you? Man, Like I know you you in d Smoke,
- 13:15Speaker 1: partnered up and bought Broadway Gym Smoke. I've heard you've
- 13:19Speaker 1: been doing other stuff in the real estate game. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 13:22Speaker 1: I just got a house, new crib. Yeah are you
- 13:26Speaker 1: doing anything? Are you just everything? Like all the ship
- 13:29Speaker 1: for me to move in just got finished, So all
- 13:32Speaker 1: the little work that I had to do and shit,
- 13:33Speaker 1: so I'm feeling good about it. I was gonna say, you,
- 13:36Speaker 1: like diving in pretty pretty tough on the real estate
- 13:37Speaker 1: in terms of just like investing. Nah, I ain't gonna
- 13:40Speaker 1: sit here in front like that. But if an opportunity
- 13:42Speaker 1: present itself, and then at the time, if I got
- 13:45Speaker 1: the liquid to do it, then I do it. But
- 13:49Speaker 1: I'm really just focused on on music, just getting my
- 13:54Speaker 1: brand together and content. I want to get into these movies. Hey,
- 13:58Speaker 1: for real, you think you act? I definitely could act.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I did a few roles and shit, you know the
- 14:05Speaker 1: movie shit, it's this term that got called hurry up
- 14:08Speaker 1: and wait. So I didn't shot some shit like a
- 14:11Speaker 1: year ago. Some two years ago they still not release yeah,
- 14:15Speaker 1: like to b shit, Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah. Well one
- 14:18Speaker 1: of them is like an actual feature film. Oh fire. Yeah,
- 14:22Speaker 1: you think you're they're gonna typecast you. I'm pretty type cast.
- 14:26Speaker 1: But it's like some nineteen so I think I spoke
- 14:28Speaker 1: on them before. On here. I'm like, it's in the
- 14:31Speaker 1: seventies when hip hop first started. So I'm like a
- 14:35Speaker 1: fucking like a gangster security. Do they have to cover
- 14:40Speaker 1: your your tats up? Yeah? They make up me down?
- 14:45Speaker 1: What's that like? Like? Seeing yourself without tattoos for like
- 14:47Speaker 1: a couple of days? That shit is dope? Like I
- 14:50Speaker 1: want to I actually want to get some of this
- 14:52Speaker 1: shit removed, But I just got something on my face,
- 14:55Speaker 1: which the you know, the ideal behind that is I'm
- 14:58Speaker 1: building this company up to sell it for one hundred million.
- 15:00Speaker 1: So when I get that check, I'm getting this shit
- 15:03Speaker 1: removed the blue T shirt. Which tattoo would you get removed? First?
- 15:09Speaker 1: By the way that shit hurts, I don't know. I
- 15:12Speaker 1: got it, like I got a lot of shit, Like
- 15:14Speaker 1: I was like a scratch paper at one time, letting
- 15:17Speaker 1: my homies practice on me and shit. So your BG tattoo,
- 15:21Speaker 1: How painful was that? Cause it's like all just dark ink.
- 15:25Speaker 1: It actually wasn't that painful because the only thing that
- 15:28Speaker 1: I remember that always stand out is when you start
- 15:32Speaker 1: getting under the orange pit, I'm like, bro, don't worry
- 15:35Speaker 1: about that. They ain't gonna see under my shit anyway.
- 15:37Speaker 1: That shit hurt. It's kind of like the places you
- 15:40Speaker 1: can see that usually hurt the most. Yeah, yeah, that's yeah.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I have a few tattoos in like right here. That
- 15:48Speaker 1: shit hurt. Yeah, I want to get a few more.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Like at first it was like, damn, I want to act,
- 15:52Speaker 1: But now with this makeup shit and technology, I'm good.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I wanted to. I actually wanted to get permanent gold teeth, right.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I've been wanting to do that since I was like fifteen,
- 16:03Speaker 1: and it's like I wanted That's one thing that is
- 16:06Speaker 1: definitely you still want to do that, Yeah, but it
- 16:09Speaker 1: don't do that, bro, but it's gonna be difficult, you know,
- 16:12Speaker 1: getting rolls because I would love to fucking do some
- 16:15Speaker 1: shit like iced tea, play a fucking cop or just
- 16:18Speaker 1: get the joint you pop in and you pop out. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 16:22Speaker 1: get this the all right, listen. I don't know anybody
- 16:24Speaker 1: who got permanence that are like that breath don't smell
- 16:27Speaker 1: like shit. All their breath stinks, and nobody actually feels
- 16:31Speaker 1: like it was a good idea like two years later, right,
- 16:34Speaker 1: you gotta brush your teeth like like like it's just
- 16:36Speaker 1: so much. It's just a lot of maintenance. It's a
- 16:39Speaker 1: lot of fucking maintenance. You could go to Mexico and
- 16:41Speaker 1: get that shit though done for the low ski for sure,
- 16:43Speaker 1: just go to t J. I don't want to come
- 16:45Speaker 1: back with no big horse gold teeth though it look
- 16:48Speaker 1: like AD, but we'll go AD. Got them chompers, I
- 16:53Speaker 1: got my teeth. My teeth blew out right. But it's
- 16:56Speaker 1: like I felt like if I get like a perfect
- 17:00Speaker 1: set of whites, it kind of steal from the characteristics
- 17:04Speaker 1: of my shit, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah,
- 17:07Speaker 1: I like the crooked chip Tooth, Brown Tooth's mouth. Fuck it,
- 17:11Speaker 1: I'm thugging. It is what I didn't live, the life
- 17:14Speaker 1: that lets you know some shit didn't happen. I love it.
- 17:18Speaker 1: So no features on the Gangster Girls. No, actually I
- 17:21Speaker 1: got a hook from RJ. Okay, I got a hook
- 17:24Speaker 1: from RJ. But outside of that, like my you know,
- 17:27Speaker 1: I love taking projects to the face man, because I
- 17:30Speaker 1: record at the crib or at my office and it's
- 17:33Speaker 1: just like, you know, super comfortable. I think that's why
- 17:37Speaker 1: it just come out so much. It's like I'm not
- 17:39Speaker 1: in the pressure like I'm in a twelve hour session.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I gotta hurry up and do this. Like I get
- 17:44Speaker 1: to ride around, listen to beats, rap, shit in my voice, memo,
- 17:49Speaker 1: come home, record through my other work. So you know, yeah,
- 17:55Speaker 1: I enjoy doing that for you. Like I know, doing
- 17:59Speaker 1: your tour like is a big deal because I feel
- 18:02Speaker 1: like you're kind of doing something that a lot of
- 18:05Speaker 1: LA artists have had trouble doing, and that's like doing
- 18:08Speaker 1: like a national tour, you know. And I think like
- 18:11Speaker 1: a lot of that is just the result of, like shit,
- 18:14Speaker 1: the love of the fifteen projects straight of just you know,
- 18:17Speaker 1: building your monthly listeners. And I think like I've noticed
- 18:23Speaker 1: like that for you because I think we always look
- 18:26Speaker 1: at a lot of quote unquote LA rappers as having
- 18:28Speaker 1: a certain ceiling. But I do feel like you've done
- 18:31Speaker 1: a good job of like starting to break out of
- 18:32Speaker 1: what that ceiling looks like, for sure. For sure. Like
- 18:35Speaker 1: my goal, my goal in the culture and my contribution
- 18:40Speaker 1: is to is to bring something new to LA And
- 18:45Speaker 1: when I say new is you know, our culture and
- 18:49Speaker 1: the way we operate out here is like to chill,
- 18:51Speaker 1: hang and bang shit. And it also spilled over into
- 18:55Speaker 1: the hustle. So a lot of people do the minimum
- 18:58Speaker 1: and expect the maximum. And you know, another one of
- 19:02Speaker 1: my things with branding is perception and making it impossible
- 19:06Speaker 1: possible and seeing you know, like where other people don't see.
- 19:12Speaker 1: And you know, it is a market for us on
- 19:15Speaker 1: a touring road, but you got to step out and
- 19:17Speaker 1: build that shit up. So my goal is to you know,
- 19:21Speaker 1: just show motherfuckers that's coming up after me that yeah,
- 19:25Speaker 1: you could make millions as a West Coast artist doing
- 19:30Speaker 1: West Coast shit. We got to just go open up
- 19:32Speaker 1: these markets that fuck with us. So you know, you
- 19:35Speaker 1: may go do a show I didn't have shows that
- 19:38Speaker 1: I did, Like when I did my very first tour,
- 19:41Speaker 1: bro that shit was. It was humbling, first of all,
- 19:44Speaker 1: but it didn't make me want to quit. It's like
- 19:47Speaker 1: when I first got my first dope sack, like I
- 19:49Speaker 1: had a quarter piece and it took me forever to
- 19:52Speaker 1: sell that shit, you know what I'm saying. But I
- 19:54Speaker 1: kept going. So I didn't have shows where it's fucking
- 19:57Speaker 1: twenty people there, you know what I mean, and a
- 19:59Speaker 1: five and it cap wrong right, and I rocked it
- 20:02Speaker 1: like it was you know. Yeah, but that shit, that
- 20:08Speaker 1: shit make a lot of people running hide from it
- 20:10Speaker 1: because you're putting yourself out there and you know, you're
- 20:14Speaker 1: creating this image of I'm already on and I got
- 20:17Speaker 1: all this shit. So the steps that you gotta take,
- 20:21Speaker 1: a lot of people put they mind to where this
- 20:24Speaker 1: image is fake it till you make it. Already got it,
- 20:27Speaker 1: so when it's time to do this shit, it's like
- 20:31Speaker 1: it don't mess it. Don't mess with your brand, so
- 20:33Speaker 1: you can't really grow. But my whole thing is to
- 20:36Speaker 1: just you know, let motherfuckers know it is money and touring.
- 20:40Speaker 1: We do got a market, and like you could make
- 20:43Speaker 1: ms like independent, and you don't need to fucking go
- 20:47Speaker 1: to a label and how this whole fake shit going on?
- 20:50Speaker 1: And hope that you hit the lot of right, because
- 20:53Speaker 1: that's really what it is. You got to hit. If
- 20:55Speaker 1: you're going to sign to a major, you kind of
- 20:56Speaker 1: got to hit the lot of because you kind of
- 20:57Speaker 1: need a hit record to happen for sure. And even
- 21:01Speaker 1: then maybe you don't recoup, and then at your fuck,
- 21:05Speaker 1: you're never really gonna recoop because that's how I set up. Listen,
- 21:09Speaker 1: do you want to win some money? Got to stop
- 21:11Speaker 1: the interview, but listen, there's so many opportunities to gamble,
- 21:14Speaker 1: to bet on your favorite sports, to make sports more interesting.
- 21:18Speaker 1: NFL season is over, but it's all good because the
- 21:20Speaker 1: opportunities to win are just getting started. Yeah. Look, there's
- 21:24Speaker 1: so many things you can do. We're talking about NCAA, NBA, NHL, UFC, boxing,
- 21:29Speaker 1: there's blackjack tournaments, so much money to get in on.

- 22:41Speaker 1: Yes you see him. I was just there in Vegas yesterday.
- 22:45Speaker 1: This is the best place I've ever been to in
- 22:48Speaker 1: terms of dispensaries. I've been to probably hundreds of these things,
- 22:52Speaker 1: and the experience at Hardan is like nowhere else. The
- 22:57Speaker 1: customer service, the selection of premium cannabis, the experience is
- 23:01Speaker 1: a customer that you get when you walk into the
- 23:03Speaker 1: building in Las Vegas is bar none the best. It's
- 23:07Speaker 1: just the best, man, they are the best. We got
- 23:09Speaker 1: so much going on this weekend. They're sponsoring the roland
- 23:12Speaker 1: Stone party on Friday, super Bowl Weekend, Fabulous Thursday, Offset Friday,
- 23:17Speaker 1: Meek Saturday. It's a lot going on with Hardan. You
- 23:19Speaker 1: got to follow him at Hardean Underscore Las Vegas right now.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Shoot them a follow on Instagram while you're at it,
- 23:25Speaker 1: go to the website Hardeinlasvegas dot com. So much fly gear,
- 23:29Speaker 1: so much flyweed. What are we talking about? Baby? Shout
- 23:32Speaker 1: out to Hardean man. That's the family man. Go if
- 23:34Speaker 1: you're in Vegas, pull up on the man Hardean Las Vegas.
- 23:37Speaker 1: It's set up to never recope. Look, the average artist,
- 23:41Speaker 1: ninety percent of niggas deals is like a royalty deal.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Even niggas that say they got JVS, this shit be
- 23:48Speaker 1: fucking fluff for a headline. So it's like on average,
- 23:52Speaker 1: it's an eighty five fifteen type shit or twelve percent royalty. Right,
- 23:57Speaker 1: But what they don't tell you is that when they
- 24:00Speaker 1: spend a million on you and you recoop, you could
- 24:03Speaker 1: make five million. But or let's just let's break it
- 24:07Speaker 1: down even smaller. They spend one hundred thousand on you,
- 24:11Speaker 1: and you make two hundred thousand, you really only recoup
- 24:14Speaker 1: thirty thousand dollars, right, because you're cooping. Yeah, it's it's
- 24:19Speaker 1: pretty much for every dollar that So let's say you
- 24:22Speaker 1: have a ten percent royalty deal, right, just that's an
- 24:26Speaker 1: even number. So essentially every ten dollars that comes in
- 24:30Speaker 1: out of one hundred goes towards paying your balance off. Right,
- 24:33Speaker 1: the rest of it they just put it just got free.
- 24:35Speaker 1: So it's like you not recoop, but we made a
- 24:37Speaker 1: shitload of money. That's for you to really recoup off
- 24:40Speaker 1: that hundred. Your music needs to make a million. If
- 24:43Speaker 1: you're on a ten percent rate exactly, then you how
- 24:45Speaker 1: you recoop and then you start getting a royalty show
- 24:48Speaker 1: how much is how much streams you really need to
- 24:50Speaker 1: do to make a million dollars off of a record
- 24:52Speaker 1: or an album? It's it's a serious amount exactly, And
- 24:54Speaker 1: it's like that's why you know, people complain about these deals,
- 24:59Speaker 1: and a deal don't get restructured. What they do is
- 25:02Speaker 1: they don't hesitate to give you more money for them.
- 25:06Speaker 1: It's a great business, fucking yeah exactly. It's not like
- 25:08Speaker 1: they didn't make no money. They actually you didn't. You
- 25:12Speaker 1: just didn't recoop. But we made money. So, oh man,
- 25:15Speaker 1: you got a problem. We love you. Here's another million
- 25:18Speaker 1: dollars drop an album. Yeah, here goes because we made
- 25:22Speaker 1: a shipload of money already. It should be happening with
- 25:25Speaker 1: so many artists that I know. Well, they'll complain, but
- 25:27Speaker 1: then they'll they'll take the advance. Yeah, because it's like,
- 25:29Speaker 1: all right, take the advance because what they complaining about
- 25:32Speaker 1: they need money. Okay, cool, here's money. Here goes some money.
- 25:35Speaker 1: All right, you better tour. Yeah, we put a band
- 25:38Speaker 1: aid over some ship that needs stifles and stitches, and
- 25:41Speaker 1: now you got more money to recoop. You've done. You've
- 25:44Speaker 1: dug your whole deeper with the label. But that there
- 25:47Speaker 1: is something that people I think have a uh so
- 25:52Speaker 1: if you aren't recouped, it's not so. I think normal
- 25:56Speaker 1: people think that when they hear that that if you're
- 25:58Speaker 1: not recouped, that you didn't make money, know that you
- 26:02Speaker 1: are like in debt to the label like personal Like no,
- 26:06Speaker 1: like if the label gives you a million dollars and
- 26:10Speaker 1: your music only makes one hundred thousand dollars, now you
- 26:13Speaker 1: might not be recouped through your deal, but it's not
- 26:15Speaker 1: like you're moving around with a fucking nine hundred thousand
- 26:18Speaker 1: dollars debt over your head label. Yeah, because that going
- 26:21Speaker 1: right if they let that, if they let you go,
- 26:23Speaker 1: they're gonna write you off. Like with Nation tax right off. Yeah,
- 26:26Speaker 1: with Rocknation, they let me go, and it's like, I
- 26:29Speaker 1: think I fucking owe them like eight hundred thousand. Did
- 26:33Speaker 1: you see what the Russell said that like Rocknation offered
- 26:35Speaker 1: him like a really bad deal. Uh, yeah, y'all saw
- 26:38Speaker 1: that interview? Yeah? Was that? How was your deal? I mean,
- 26:41Speaker 1: that's it. Nah, My situation wasn't nothing like that. But
- 26:45Speaker 1: you know, at the end of the day, this is business.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Like in business, people are gonna do and get over
- 26:50Speaker 1: with what they can, you know what I'm saying, And
- 26:52Speaker 1: it's up to you to catch up with it. Like
- 26:56Speaker 1: even with lawyers and shit, like these lawyers are slick
- 26:59Speaker 1: as a motherfucker, and a lot of times they all
- 27:02Speaker 1: like like they kind of work together. Yeah, and like
- 27:05Speaker 1: you got to kind of really find your own like
- 27:07Speaker 1: entertainment lawyer. That's kind of like maybe not living in
- 27:10Speaker 1: LA for sure, like because or somebody that's fresh out
- 27:14Speaker 1: of college. That's like somebody with you, right, because they
- 27:19Speaker 1: will try to they will try to sneak shit in.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Like I had a situation to where I worked out
- 27:25Speaker 1: a deal and this motherfucker telling me, all right, everything
- 27:28Speaker 1: is great. I don't like this. I don't like this.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell him this, but didn't tell me that
- 27:33Speaker 1: he slipped in. I need five percent out of this
- 27:38Speaker 1: deal in the contract. You tell me everything else, but
- 27:41Speaker 1: forget to And a lot of people get fucked like that.
- 27:44Speaker 1: But I'll be on top of everything. So because it's
- 27:47Speaker 1: not like I could just pay you your hourly fee
- 27:51Speaker 1: paying a flat, right, but it's like a motherfucker they'll
- 27:55Speaker 1: court you. Oh it's love, bro, I'm here for you,
- 27:58Speaker 1: woo woo. Let you know everything and then still sneak
- 28:02Speaker 1: in some shit under your nose, like all this shit
- 28:04Speaker 1: go on, you know what I mean, But you can't
- 28:06Speaker 1: get mad at it. It's the games I think that
- 28:08Speaker 1: I see. Well, I noticed that too, with a lot
- 28:10Speaker 1: of managers on top of it, managers shitty managers will
- 28:15Speaker 1: they backdo you. They'll force their artists into a shitty
- 28:18Speaker 1: record deal because they don't got to recoup off the advance.
- 28:22Speaker 1: They get their percentage Scott free, I need to play
- 28:24Speaker 1: this rent so they're getting their bread. Meanwhile, you're locked
- 28:27Speaker 1: into a shitty deal and you're not gonna recoup. And
- 28:31Speaker 1: it's like, but the manager got paid, the lawyer got paid,
- 28:33Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I see that shit happening
- 28:35Speaker 1: all the time, where like, like some of my homies
- 28:37Speaker 1: are like their fucking management will like be pushing them
- 28:40Speaker 1: to sign like shitty deals, and I'm like, bro because
- 28:43Speaker 1: they when it's a red flag and managers like that.
- 28:46Speaker 1: That's how a lot of managers think. I'm the coach.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I outlive the artists. I'm gonna have thirty more of you,
- 28:53Speaker 1: like motherfuckers. I nenver heard somebody say, I'm not gonna
- 28:58Speaker 1: say who, but close to shit, an average artist lifestyle
- 29:03Speaker 1: lifespan is five years. But that's really not the case
- 29:07Speaker 1: no more. Because rapping turned into rock and roll right too.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Short them they're sixty and he's stealed the shit? Is
- 29:13Speaker 1: he almost sixty? Yes? He like fifty five fifty six,
- 29:16Speaker 1: hold a sugar free. Sugar Free is around the same
- 29:19Speaker 1: thing fifty three fifty four. But it's like rapping turned
- 29:22Speaker 1: into rock and roll, so it's no age limit. But
- 29:26Speaker 1: like people a bad management to tell you shit like that,
- 29:30Speaker 1: and damn put this idea in your head that you
- 29:34Speaker 1: got to rush into these fucked up situations because you
- 29:37Speaker 1: only got a windough, you know what I mean. But
- 29:39Speaker 1: if you're a brand, you're gonna be here forever. Rappers
- 29:42Speaker 1: do got a fucking expiration day, but brands don't. Right.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Are you pretty much self managed now or do you
- 29:48Speaker 1: have management? Yeah? Because I feel like you could kind
- 29:51Speaker 1: of you. You know, you're one of the few artists
- 29:53Speaker 1: I feel like, probably don't need a manager. You have
- 29:55Speaker 1: good people around here. You got a great project Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 29:57Speaker 1: fire like Gentry. Yeah, Gentry my project manager, you know
- 30:00Speaker 1: what I'm saying. And he's like, he's definitely one of
- 30:04Speaker 1: the best, like this doing some groundbreaking. I think Gentry
- 30:08Speaker 1: gonna be one of the people that like change the
- 30:10Speaker 1: game in the future. But you know, he assists me.
- 30:13Speaker 1: But as far as management, man, you know I do that.
- 30:17Speaker 1: I'm a mastermind, like you know, not to too my
- 30:20Speaker 1: own horn, but like I'm a hustler. So it's like
- 30:24Speaker 1: I know that the game is like it's really only
- 30:28Speaker 1: ten percent of the music. It's ninety percent of how
- 30:32Speaker 1: you position yourself, how you set up your brand, and
- 30:35Speaker 1: how you do all this. And I was just telling
- 30:38Speaker 1: somebody the other day, like, man, I only need to
- 30:41Speaker 1: do fucking fifteen percent of what a major artist gotta do,
- 30:48Speaker 1: and I'm getting the same money or more, and I
- 30:50Speaker 1: do what I want, and I feel like I could,
- 30:53Speaker 1: like I feel great, you know what I'm saying. I
- 30:55Speaker 1: felt like I honestly felt like like music turned into
- 30:59Speaker 1: a job when I signed, you know what I mean,
- 31:02Speaker 1: And it just turned into pressure because the lights in
- 31:05Speaker 1: it and the perception of this shit, oh you were Rocknation,
- 31:08Speaker 1: and just like that shit fucked up a gang of
- 31:11Speaker 1: relationships with me because motherfuckers is next to me but
- 31:16Speaker 1: not paying attention to what's really going on, just like
- 31:18Speaker 1: the look of shit, you know what I'm saying. So
- 31:21Speaker 1: like independent is where it's at. Man, Like people were
- 31:24Speaker 1: signing for the wrong reasons, like you said, it's the look,
- 31:27Speaker 1: it's the like now I'm on here, I get to
- 31:28Speaker 1: go to the brunch or I get you know what.
- 31:30Speaker 1: It's like that shit is great and like shout out
- 31:32Speaker 1: to that, you know, but like I don't think I
- 31:35Speaker 1: think that you're clicking. Life is way more important than that. Yeah,
- 31:39Speaker 1: your peace of mind, your freedom, your flexibility, all these things.
- 31:43Speaker 1: That freedom is everything. Because I wanted to quit when
- 31:45Speaker 1: I said I was retiring, I really felt like that,
- 31:48Speaker 1: like fuck this, I know I'm a cold motherfucker. I
- 31:51Speaker 1: could go make millions anywhere, right, a hustler. So it's
- 31:54Speaker 1: like like music had me jaded for a minute, and
- 31:57Speaker 1: it like just being independent. I talk man, I said, bro, like, bro,
- 32:02Speaker 1: you get me freedom. Bro, Like I respect you and
- 32:06Speaker 1: LOYU for that. You know what I'm saying, So like
- 32:09Speaker 1: you know you got me. How do you like? What
- 32:14Speaker 1: are some of the because I feel like the apparel business.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Obviously you got blue T shirt, but it's it seems
- 32:20Speaker 1: like a very competitive, hard like thing to pop like
- 32:24Speaker 1: because there's just so many clothing brands and it's like
- 32:27Speaker 1: like what is like kind of some of the uphill
- 32:30Speaker 1: battles you have to go through when it comes to
- 32:31Speaker 1: the clothing business. I mean it's the same thing with music.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Like right now, my like I wouldn't even say struggle,
- 32:38Speaker 1: but challenge right now is just like getting the whole
- 32:43Speaker 1: infrastructure everything tight, because like, I got a product that's
- 32:47Speaker 1: a fucking no brainer. When you walk up with this
- 32:50Speaker 1: as a blue T shirt and that shit fly, anybody
- 32:54Speaker 1: in the fucking planet is gonna have something to say
- 32:57Speaker 1: about that. And I'm saying it's self explained to or
- 33:00Speaker 1: it's not one of those things where I got some
- 33:03Speaker 1: letters and I got to explain what each letter mean
- 33:05Speaker 1: and give you this long, drawing out shit. It's just like,
- 33:08Speaker 1: oh that's tight. Yeah. The fucking the whole thing behind
- 33:12Speaker 1: this is perception, and my perception, my specific perception, is
- 33:20Speaker 1: you could make them possible possible. So if I say
- 33:23Speaker 1: it's this, this is what it is, and this how
- 33:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna make it happen, and I feel like a
- 33:26Speaker 1: lot of people in the world or just just in
- 33:31Speaker 1: life period business need to understand that. Because if you
- 33:35Speaker 1: got a dope idea, or if you got something dope
- 33:38Speaker 1: or something cutting edge, what is like ninety percent a
- 33:43Speaker 1: monthfucker is gonna tell you that's a bad idea, that's crazy.
- 33:45Speaker 1: I always do that, always fucking get a job, do this.
- 33:49Speaker 1: So that's pretty much what blue T Shirt represents, you
- 33:52Speaker 1: know what I mean. But you know, without saying all that,
- 33:55Speaker 1: just seeing it is fucking dope, you know what I mean.
- 33:57Speaker 1: I was like, the probably the best thing I created. Bro.
- 34:01Speaker 1: I was gonna say, do you do you feel like
- 34:02Speaker 1: because you know you'll see guys like burn or YG
- 34:05Speaker 1: kind of scale the closing lines to a certain level.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Are you starting to kind of like maybe hit some
- 34:11Speaker 1: of these trade shows like there's Magic and there's Project
- 34:14Speaker 1: and what's the other shit that's an agenda? Yeah? You

- 38:02Speaker 1: Yeah he'll whoop your ass for sure. Yeah, you told
- 38:05Speaker 1: him I don't want no smoke. Would you ever try
- 38:08Speaker 1: to get because I know you, you know you're in
- 38:10Speaker 1: a boxing gym. Would you ever try to get down
- 38:11Speaker 1: with the jiu jitsu? Or I was thinking about taking
- 38:15Speaker 1: jiu jitsu? It was just like just the timing of
- 38:19Speaker 1: you know, everything, because when I get involved, I don't
- 38:23Speaker 1: want to commit. I don't want to go to two
- 38:24Speaker 1: classes and quit like I actually want to get some
- 38:26Speaker 1: like belts and move up and think about jiu jitsu.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Is I just don't know how much time I want
- 38:31Speaker 1: to spend rolling around with a dude on the ground,
- 38:34Speaker 1: right and getting this shit kicked out and getting ring
- 38:36Speaker 1: warm or like getting a fucking staff infection because the
- 38:40Speaker 1: fucking mats are dirty. That should be happening staff. I
- 38:43Speaker 1: ain't heard that. When I was in a pen. It
- 38:45Speaker 1: was like the staff ship was big in the country
- 38:49Speaker 1: at the time, and motherfuckers was catching that shit. Bro
- 38:51Speaker 1: I was, man, I was so spooke. How long were
- 38:55Speaker 1: you locked up in total? I did about six years.
- 38:58Speaker 1: What was your longest like sing like it total of
- 39:01Speaker 1: my life? I did about six years, a little over
- 39:03Speaker 1: six years. What was the longest single bid? Three years
- 39:08Speaker 1: and like six months? Geez yeah, or four month three
- 39:12Speaker 1: and four something like that. Yeah. For you, like, who's
- 39:17Speaker 1: playing you in the movie? Man? You were in prison,
- 39:19Speaker 1: you got so much crazy shit that's happened in your life.
- 39:21Speaker 1: If you had to pick somebody to play you in
- 39:22Speaker 1: the movie, whould be Man, he probably ain't even hit
- 39:27Speaker 1: the scene yet. It's yourself. Yeah, you just play yourself.
- 39:31Speaker 1: I feel like i'd be maybe at certain parts, but
- 39:35Speaker 1: I ain't really thought about it. But I think, like
- 39:37Speaker 1: with the movie shit, my goal with that too is
- 39:40Speaker 1: like I'll be studying motherfuckers like John Singleton and US
- 39:44Speaker 1: Brothers where they was taking these super talented unknowns. Yeah,
- 39:49Speaker 1: so that's that's like my goal and the ship. I'm
- 39:51Speaker 1: not looking for the big name like I know, so
- 39:55Speaker 1: I've been trying to get in it, so I don't
- 39:56Speaker 1: set with a lot of different producers and a lot
- 39:58Speaker 1: of different writers, and a lot of these dudes think
- 40:01Speaker 1: the same way. Some of these rappers think having a
- 40:04Speaker 1: gang of names tied to some ship is gonna make
- 40:07Speaker 1: it dope, Like it's gonna get you some eyeballs, but
- 40:09Speaker 1: is it gonna make great product? Well, think about who
- 40:14Speaker 1: Uncle Jerome the actor was or who Franklin Saint the
- 40:17Speaker 1: actor was before that show, and now they the ship.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Now they're lit, right, So that's my goal with that
- 40:21Speaker 1: Franklin Saints banging Lori Harvey right now, God bless them.
- 40:27Speaker 1: I'm just saying, Okay, so how many more projects are
- 40:32Speaker 1: you dropping this year? The big album's coming for sure
- 40:33Speaker 1: at the end of the year. Yeah, big album, fourth quarter,
- 40:36Speaker 1: We're gonna do the probably just and it with a
- 40:39Speaker 1: like Nova show or if I could do something bigger
- 40:42Speaker 1: than that, that'd be awesome. I mean, it's about time
- 40:45Speaker 1: to do the Novo or do Palladium. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 40:47Speaker 1: yeah I didn't. I mean having offers to do them.
- 40:49Speaker 1: What rocks? The Roxy show is special. Yeah, and like
- 40:52Speaker 1: the Roxy, like I could have did the Nova, you
- 40:54Speaker 1: could have been so gotta do the Roxy first. But
- 40:57Speaker 1: it's like for like tradition's sake, I feel like it's
- 40:59Speaker 1: like I love the Roxy and I wanted to just
- 41:01Speaker 1: do like my one last show, the Rock, you know,
- 41:05Speaker 1: I mean, so that could go down, But yeah, I
- 41:07Speaker 1: think I'm pretty I got the Fonda coming up, you
- 41:10Speaker 1: know what I mean. That's big. Yeah. So how many
- 41:13Speaker 1: days are you and Richie doing? Twenty five? That's a lot, man.
- 41:17Speaker 1: How far east are you guys going? We're going all
- 41:20Speaker 1: the way the Massachusetts Cambridge, Massachusetts, I think that's far
- 41:23Speaker 1: and then Orlando, Florida, so northeast and southeast that's lit. Yeah.
- 41:28Speaker 1: You think you like like I do, think like, you know,
- 41:31Speaker 1: having fans because I remember living in Tampa and at
- 41:36Speaker 1: the height of my crazy life, Ygi came and I
- 41:40Speaker 1: was because you know, I'm a West Coast guy from Phoenix.
- 41:44Speaker 1: So when Ygi came to Tampa, this is like twenty fourteen,
- 41:48Speaker 1: when he was on fire fire, and I no one
- 41:51Speaker 1: cared because it was Florida, so it was like different
- 41:54Speaker 1: like people were they loved like riche On m Kwan
- 41:56Speaker 1: and Boozy like people who wouldn't have necessarily people would
- 41:58Speaker 1: have cared about like that out here. But I do
- 42:01Speaker 1: think it's like important, like like you said, like you
- 42:03Speaker 1: got to go and build those markets up fan by
- 42:06Speaker 1: fans exactly. So I know a lot of these dates,
- 42:10Speaker 1: I'm putting myself up to the challenge in building majority
- 42:14Speaker 1: of the dates, over half of the dates is no burners.
- 42:17Speaker 1: They're gonna be sold out, right, But my goal is
- 42:21Speaker 1: to build the torn So you know, I'm curious to
- 42:24Speaker 1: see how Orlando, Florida go, you know what I mean,
- 42:28Speaker 1: And however it go, I'm gonna just keep hitting the
- 42:30Speaker 1: nail on the head until I build that market out
- 42:33Speaker 1: because once it's built, then you know, that's that's that's
- 42:37Speaker 1: extra dot to the net at the or the gross
- 42:40Speaker 1: at the end of the year. So you know, that's
- 42:42Speaker 1: my goal. What has been the most random like place
- 42:45Speaker 1: you've seen, like fans just really fucking with you outside
- 42:49Speaker 1: of the fuck outside of the US, Japan, Australia, Well,
- 42:56Speaker 1: Japan is not right, it's West Coast to coach motherfuckers
- 43:00Speaker 1: in Japan, Australia, London. Like I get dms every fucking
- 43:06Speaker 1: day from overseas. Have you been in Japan yet? Nah?
- 43:09Speaker 1: Do you think you'd be allowed to go? Yeah? For sure,
- 43:11Speaker 1: record for sure. I heard it. It's like it's like Canada. No,
- 43:15Speaker 1: it's not as bad, but I heard It's like, nah,
- 43:17Speaker 1: I should be good. I've been out of fucking prison
- 43:20Speaker 1: for I got released in January twenty fourteen, almost ten years,
- 43:25Speaker 1: so I should be good. Man. I ain't got nothing
- 43:28Speaker 1: but some you know, traffic violations. You gotta tap in
- 43:32Speaker 1: djn and head. They got the fucking all the Japan
- 43:36Speaker 1: there's like this like West Coast culture out there and
- 43:39Speaker 1: they'd be bringing hell up like D Smoke went out
- 43:41Speaker 1: there and got a bag. Yeah, yeah, we definitely hitting that.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Who's your DJ Steals? Okay, my boy Steals my DJ
- 43:50Speaker 1: executive producer. I have my executive producer, So like me
- 43:54Speaker 1: and Steals like got this synergy built, Like yeah, what's that? Yeah?
- 43:58Speaker 1: You guys got such a chemistry man. Yeah, yeah, that's
- 44:00Speaker 1: my boy, like because we like kind of like similar
- 44:03Speaker 1: person like everything he wants and trying to do like
- 44:06Speaker 1: each if you have regrettable tattoos for sure, for sure,
- 44:10Speaker 1: for each of you're musically inclined. Yeah yeah, yeah, and
- 44:14Speaker 1: little seasons, you know, it's a little season. And it's
- 44:17Speaker 1: just like we we both at the same point to
- 44:20Speaker 1: where it's like now or never and then are now
- 44:24Speaker 1: or never. Isn't like the fame necessarily, but it's like
- 44:28Speaker 1: them digits we take now he's got I saw. I
- 44:30Speaker 1: just saw him in a v or dropping an album soon. Yeah,
- 44:33Speaker 1: so shout out to Steal, shout to av Steel's been
- 44:35Speaker 1: putting in that work. Yeah. So we just we we
- 44:38Speaker 1: both building in real estate and this shit and helping
- 44:41Speaker 1: each other. I was gonna say, like, when you drop
- 44:44Speaker 1: that much music, is it kind of like is that
- 44:47Speaker 1: the way you look at it? Like the more catalog
- 44:50Speaker 1: I have, is it like compounding interest almost? Yeah, for sure,
- 44:54Speaker 1: and then you never know which one is gonna be
- 44:56Speaker 1: which And then also you know the way I look
- 44:59Speaker 1: at it, like a lot of artists that I fell
- 45:01Speaker 1: in love with, like in the beginning of the twenty
- 45:05Speaker 1: ten that era, like the YouTube era, a lot of
- 45:08Speaker 1: the artists that I became serious fans of, like withiz Currency,
- 45:15Speaker 1: fucking with Wayne, before that, Gezy French, all these different artists,
- 45:23Speaker 1: they had a shitload of content. So you know, when
- 45:26Speaker 1: I discovered them, like, it's a lot of shit for
- 45:30Speaker 1: me to fall in love with them. And then like
- 45:32Speaker 1: around the time when I discovered Wiz and was like, damn,
- 45:35Speaker 1: this nigga is crazy. Then Black and Yellow hit and
- 45:38Speaker 1: then all the other shit go up. So you know,
- 45:41Speaker 1: I'm trying to try and get mirror out of my
- 45:43Speaker 1: own way everything else comes up. Yeah, I'm trying to
- 45:46Speaker 1: mirror that in my own way. It's like, okay, with
- 45:49Speaker 1: all the catalog that I get, let's say a song hit.
- 45:51Speaker 1: I'm not doing my career based on a hit song
- 45:55Speaker 1: because I know I can make ms without a hit song.
- 45:57Speaker 1: So but if it hits song do hit? Then guess
- 46:01Speaker 1: what my catalog go from whatever a month to a
- 46:03Speaker 1: million a month? You know what I mean? Yeah, and
- 46:06Speaker 1: then when they talking about selling catalog, shit, give me
- 46:09Speaker 1: eighty million dollars, right, You do you feel like because
- 46:13Speaker 1: I do feel like. I saw Russ recently comment on this,
- 46:16Speaker 1: and Rust is somebody who kind of blew up through
- 46:17Speaker 1: a lot of music videos, but he just said recently
- 46:19Speaker 1: that music videos aren't as important as they used to
- 46:23Speaker 1: be in terms of like the effect of I guess
- 46:26Speaker 1: the ROI you would get. Definitely, do you feel like
- 46:29Speaker 1: that's the case because I know you still shoot videos?
- 46:31Speaker 1: A fact, Yeah, that's a fact because like let's say,
- 46:34Speaker 1: like my record keep Killing, for example, keep Killing. If
- 46:38Speaker 1: you look on YouTube, it's gonna look like the record is.
- 46:42Speaker 1: But that shit got like fucking thirty forty million streams total,
- 46:45Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And it's not even close
- 46:47Speaker 1: to a million on YouTube, you know what I'm saying.
- 46:50Speaker 1: So yeah, I feel what he's saying. I think in
- 46:53Speaker 1: this era, like YouTube and like this the information era, right,
- 46:58Speaker 1: so these podcasts and all this ship is the ship,
- 47:01Speaker 1: and like I think YouTube is designed more for motherfuckers
- 47:07Speaker 1: to get acquainted with your brand at this point and
- 47:09Speaker 1: how you think and where you're almost is like a
- 47:11Speaker 1: little extra, like you know, it's it's if you're an
- 47:15Speaker 1: independent artist, like you're probably not going to spend the
- 47:17Speaker 1: amount of money on music videos that you might have
- 47:20Speaker 1: three or four years ago. Yeah, for sure, but it's
- 47:22Speaker 1: something that kind of just helps with the brand. Yeah,
- 47:24Speaker 1: it definitely helped. It's a commercial you know what I mean,
- 47:26Speaker 1: I think a song is a commercial for the brand,
- 47:29Speaker 1: but uh yeah, it's like it's the information error. And
- 47:34Speaker 1: that's like even with with PRESS, right because I had
- 47:38Speaker 1: a PR since the jump and that that's what uh,
- 47:41Speaker 1: that's what helped me get known before my music, Like
- 47:44Speaker 1: I was more known than my music, you know what
- 47:47Speaker 1: I mean. And like with the way that the game
- 47:51Speaker 1: is going, like the PR run is not really it's
- 47:55Speaker 1: kind of becoming like dinosaur type shit, like going to
- 47:59Speaker 1: blow and going to this different shake. I feel like
- 48:02Speaker 1: paying a PR person if you have like decent relationships
- 48:05Speaker 1: to waste the money now, Yeah, it's like if someone
- 48:07Speaker 1: trying to sell you on blog placements, that's a fucking
- 48:10Speaker 1: red flag. Yeah that's that's dinosaur shit. And it's like
- 48:14Speaker 1: like it's the fucking podcasts are way more you know,
- 48:19Speaker 1: important and valuable. So yeah, bro, like PR, I think
- 48:25Speaker 1: fucking podcasts and all this different shit is way more
- 48:28Speaker 1: important than a PR run at this for sure? Would
- 48:30Speaker 1: you would you ever do your own podcast? Nah? Not
- 48:36Speaker 1: at this point. Maybe when I slow down with music
- 48:39Speaker 1: because with a podcast, bro, like you got to offer
- 48:43Speaker 1: too many different things of yourself unless you keep it,
- 48:47Speaker 1: you know, on one specific thing, and it's like it
- 48:50Speaker 1: kind of steal from the mystique of the music, right
- 48:54Speaker 1: you know what I mean? It's good money though, it's
- 48:57Speaker 1: great money. Like if you I would definitely reckon man,
- 49:00Speaker 1: if you're an artist and you can't figure out how
- 49:02Speaker 1: to stream or how to get people on your shit,
- 49:05Speaker 1: like do a fucking podcast, bro, Like that shit is
- 49:09Speaker 1: that shit? I know a lot of people that make
- 49:12Speaker 1: like a lot of artists that got podcast now and
- 49:15Speaker 1: made more than they ever made. They got an AD
- 49:17Speaker 1: all projects running it up exactly, so AD like ad
- 49:22Speaker 1: killing it. I'm like super proud of a d right now.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Like that's like, that's dope because he a good dude.
- 49:27Speaker 1: So you know, he found his way so sold out
- 49:30Speaker 1: LRA with the podcast big deal exactly, big your era.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Let's say twenty ten to twenty twenty, who's the mount Rushmore,
- 49:38Speaker 1: La Rapp twenty ten to twenty twenty, what's the mount Rushmore?
- 49:41Speaker 1: Five faces? Give me five? Sure it's four, but give
- 49:44Speaker 1: me five. Uh. Kendrick nip yg fuck damn Kendrick nip
- 49:59Speaker 1: yg Uh. And like as far as like LA where
- 50:06Speaker 1: you know they from l a ship Geparika, I like it.
- 50:12Speaker 1: It's a solid five right after this Gangster Girls. You
- 50:18Speaker 1: got another project ready to go? Yeah, I got another
- 50:20Speaker 1: project coming. I got the click Tape coming. It's a
- 50:24Speaker 1: it's another project by me, but it's it's just more
- 50:27Speaker 1: focused on, you know, artists that I like out here,
- 50:32Speaker 1: and because I don't do a lot of features. I mean,
- 50:36Speaker 1: this is a fucking damn I lost my trend. You're
- 50:45Speaker 1: saying that you're focused on Oh yeah, click tape, So
- 50:48Speaker 1: click tape. Just artists that I like, and you know,
- 50:52Speaker 1: people that I would like to do music with. And
