- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Fierazzo.
- 0:20Hello friends, thank you so much for tuning in, for watching, for sharing, and we've
- 0:24got Laura Perry's smolts back with us again.
- 0:27We're going to talk about her book, of course, Transgender to Transformed.
- 0:30Also, it's happening in the world and it's kind of crazy.
- 0:34The delusion out there will get her, take on a lot of issues, and get an update from
- 0:38her before I forget, though, we're doing a fundraiser between now and Christmas.
- 0:42And I forgot to mention these names, the last show we did.
- 0:45So I just want to thank you guys, first for your prayers for World View Matters and
- 0:49your donations, James, Mark and Jane.
- 0:53And I think I mentioned you guys before, but double shout out, Stephen and CME Valley,
- 0:57California, Nancy, Sherwood, Wisconsin, Tim, Nina.
- 1:01We've got three or four states, we're trying to keep track of where the donations come
- 1:06from as well.
- 1:07So let us know when you give, where you're from, and we will definitely call out, give
- 1:11you a state of shout out.
- 1:13So, Laura Perry's smolts, it was just Laura Perry, and then a year ago, she got married
- 1:19and now it's smolts at the end, but her book is called Transgender to Transformed, a
- 1:25great book, Ray Comfort has a little recommendation there on the top of the cover there.
- 1:31But anyway, we want you to check that out.
- 1:33That's her story.
- 1:35It's in detail, and it doesn't hold back on some of the anguish and some of the trial
- 1:41she went through some of the depression and despair.
- 1:45And she's a born again sister in Christ, she's got an amazing ministry today, and she's
- 1:50helping a lot of people in this trans madness.
- 1:55Laura Perry's smolts, welcome back to the podcast.
- 1:58Thank you so much for having me on.
- 1:59Hey, thanks Laura.
- 2:00First, any update on your end, what are you working on now, a book, a speaking, what
- 2:05are you doing?
- 2:06Funny you ask, because actually quite a lot is going on.
- 2:11I am just getting ready to announce, so your audience is going to be the first officially
- 2:16to hear this.
- 2:17God has called us in a little new direction.
- 2:19My husband and I are creating our own ministry, which was not my plan initially.
- 2:25You know, I enjoy being part of another ministry, but God has really given my husband and
- 2:30I a passion and a desire to teach about God's design and male and female, why he created
- 2:36it this way, why it matters, what it all points to.
- 2:39The fact that it points to the gospel, and so we are in the process now of setting all
- 2:44that up.
- 2:45I am so working with first stone ministries, who I've loved and is a fantastic ministry
- 2:50in Oklahoma City.
- 2:51So this is just God moving us in a new direction, but so we're excited.
- 2:56So that should launch here in the next month or so.
- 3:00Wow.
- 3:01Probably officially in January.
- 3:02Okay, do you have a name for the ministries?
- 3:05That has been kind of, it's a long story.
- 3:09But actually, we are just, we're really praying about the name.
- 3:13I think we finally have that settled, but we're just asking a couple of people to pray.
- 3:17So if your audience would just really pray for confirmation, I think we have decided
- 3:21on it, but it's going to be a really cool story once I can share that.
- 3:25But yeah, it was funny, just a real quick thing related to identity.
- 3:31The story of this once I can put that out there will be so cool because we, the everything
- 3:35fell in place.
- 3:36It was God's timing.
- 3:37It's so much confirmation that God just bringing all the pieces.
- 3:40The only thing that just brought, like put the breaks on this whole thing was we could
- 3:44not come up with the name for many different reasons.
- 3:47And we wrestled for like six weeks.
- 3:49And it dawned on me yesterday, God, you're setting up this ministry for people that are
- 3:53lost and they don't know who they are.
- 3:55And the only thing we can't get done right now to set this up is the name.
- 3:59And so I just felt like the Lord was setting up this really cool story to remind us of
- 4:03how important it is of who we are and what God called us and what he says about us is
- 4:09really so much more important than just this name we've decided we like to be called.
- 4:14Yeah.
- 4:16You are also featured in the documentary in his image.
- 4:21Was that somewhat of a catalyst to leading you down this new direction to or no?
- 4:26Well, I had really started before that.
- 4:28Before I was at first on ministries, very early on, I had a few opportunities to share
- 4:33my story publicly and I knew probably within a few months, maybe a year that God had really
- 4:40called me to be a speaker and to travel and speak.
- 4:44But I had this vision of going around and doing this with a husband.
- 4:47But this is years before I met Perry and I've loaded out at staffing once one day once
- 4:53I was on staff at first home.
- 4:55And I flared out, I said, I think God wants me to teach about marriage and that kind
- 5:00of scoffed.
- 5:01I was like, okay, you got to be married before you talk about marriage.
- 5:04But I realized that God was not, it wasn't so much the typical like marital advice so much.
- 5:09I mean, that's good and definitely necessary.
- 5:12I realized marriage is such a challenge, you know, in some ways, but but really teaching
- 5:17about God's design of marriage, his design of male and female and understanding that has
- 5:22helped Perry and I, Perry and I a lot to understand our differences and to understand
- 5:27the way we think differently and the way that learning to relate and see that as strengths
- 5:32rather than trying to make the other like us and trying to let it pull against us, we're
- 5:38allowing it to strengthen us.
- 5:41Before we get into some of these stories, I've got articles, I've been just looking
- 5:45at the headlines.
- 5:46There is possibly some encouraging news with a shocking Gen Z poll on marriage and what
- 5:53they believe now regarding same sex marriage.
- 5:55But the whole, the bottom line is rejecting God that the human beings were created in his
- 6:02image, male and female and he's got a divine order, marriage, family and then society.
- 6:11You know, you've got to have the proper order otherwise we'll have what we're getting
- 6:16now chaos.
- 6:17This is what we're seeing now, chaos, confusion, delusion, Laura from a Biblical perspective,
- 6:25once you get away from that, it's not surprising what we're seeing today and they are lost.
- 6:32They're confused.
- 6:33Most of these people maybe I'm guessing have never heard the gospel.
- 6:37Some have rejected it and are, you know, proud atheists or whatever, but your thoughts
- 6:41before we get into some of these stories and articles and get your take on those.
- 6:46Absolutely.
- 6:47I mean, it's like, there's a foundation of the Word of God and the way he created this
- 6:52and designed this revealed in the Word of God.
- 6:55And if you take that away, it's like the bottom falls out and then you're just in this
- 6:58continual downward spiral into more and more on truth and more and more chaos and it never
- 7:06stops anywhere.
- 7:07You think you can stop at this place, but there's always further delusion because you
- 7:11have to keep overriding the truth.
- 7:13Yes.
- 7:14And I remember getting so desperate toward the end of my transition, people don't realize
- 7:19the depths that I was grasping at straws.
- 7:22I remember thinking of like, could I find magic spells that would turn into a man?
- 7:28And I knew it wasn't real, but it's like I was so desperate to make this real.
- 7:33And I couldn't, I got to a point where I couldn't suppress it enough.
- 7:37And, but I also believe that what you were talking about with the with God and then marriage
- 7:42and family and they God has designed the marriage to be a protection for the children.
- 7:50But often I think they're most people that struggle with gender identity have, there's
- 7:56been trauma in the family, there's been issues with parents, even if it's not an extreme
- 7:59trauma.
- 8:01Sometimes it can be even just misperceptions, but there's things that happen between parents
- 8:06and children, like in my case where I really believed my mom didn't love me.
- 8:10And that wasn't true, but I was basing it on things I observed rather than trying to
- 8:15talk it out.
- 8:16But I realized that we're all sinners raising other sinners.
- 8:19God created us for the garden of Eden, for this perfect world, for where there was no
- 8:25death, no pain, no problem in relationships, but we're broken and we're sinful people.
- 8:30And when children become hurt and they're disappointed by their parents, most of these
- 8:34kids do have issues with their parents, but it's not because the parents screwed up.
- 8:39It's because we're all sinners, but ultimately I think God created our parents to point to
- 8:45himself, but unfortunately we're following human beings.
- 8:48And so that's why we have to point them back to God and say, God is the one who will never
- 8:52fail you.
- 8:53Amen.
- 8:54Let's talk about Target.
- 8:57We've talked about probably you and I, a lot of our guests, we've talked about this in
- 9:00the past.
- 9:01I wrote a section, maybe a whole chapter in a book, 2017 called Redefining Truth.
- 9:07And in that chapter, I was talking about how they changed their bathroom policy.
- 9:11And that was 2016-ish in 2012.
- 9:15They already had an LGBTQ line showing that they're going after the children.
- 9:20And it's not just Target, it's other major corporations, there we go.
- 9:24It's Target Kids, but they go after children of the National Education Association.
- 9:30They get it.
- 9:31They're going after children at the youngest of ages.
- 9:34It's not, it's the corporate world, it's the media, but let's talk about this.
- 9:38Here's a new, I mean, there's so many of these, but over at Libs of TikTok, they expose
- 9:44a lot of what the left is doing in the hyper-sexualization and depravity, getting to our kids.
- 9:51It says, remember when Target sold tucking swimwear for kids and their sales dropped, stock
- 9:58plunged, and they were sued by shareholders?
- 10:02It says, apparently, they didn't learn their lesson because they just hired an LGBTQ activist
- 10:09to lead their multicultural merchandising strategy and pride businesses.
- 10:16But this guy's already threatening to, quote, make trouble after laughing about the backlash
- 10:21Target received.
- 10:22And there's a picture, apparently, Eric Thompson goes, his pronouns are there.
- 10:27He, him, he's the senior LGBTQIA, plus segmentation strategist and pride lead.
- 10:36And this is Target, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and you'll see the picture there and you're
- 10:43kind of going, okay.
- 10:45Laura, what do you do when we know these corporations, some of them, like Disney, Target, they're huge.
- 10:52They're not learning maybe Bud Light, maybe they learned a little lesson.
- 10:56I don't know what if Dylan Mulvaney, but what are your thoughts on this?
- 11:02It's not surprising that these kind of people are being hired by them.
- 11:05That's their worldview.
- 11:07But I've been encouraging people to buy-cott and boycott, buy-cott, you know, be a faith-driven
- 11:13consumer and avoid these companies.
- 11:17You can't avoid everybody, but avoid the companies where you have a choice to shop somewhere
- 11:21else, your thoughts.
- 11:22Yeah, absolutely.
- 11:23And in fact, I don't know if I've ever shared this on your program before, but in 2016,
- 11:29a few months before I came out of the lifestyle, it was either 2016 or 2015, but the American
- 11:35Family Association came out with a boycott against Target.
- 11:40And I signed the Target Boycott pledge before I ever came out of the lifestyle because even
- 11:45I recognized that allowing grown men to go in the bathroom with a little girl was not a
- 11:50good thing.
- 11:52And I was still, I remember wrestling with this going, I feel like I'm going against my own
- 11:57community, but I remember the Lord making me decide.
- 12:03And in fact, the Lord told me one day that this issue was going to split the church and
- 12:09he said, choose you this day whom you will serve.
- 12:11And I remember feeling like even though I was still living in that lifestyle, it was like
- 12:15I chose Christ over all of that.
- 12:18But we see these companies who are so committed to this.
- 12:20And like you said, it's a worldview, but it's really their religion.
- 12:24They are so committed to this.
- 12:26And I've studied bolts in the past where there's been evidence that even when they're faced
- 12:31with contradictory evidence to what they believe, they still will double down over and they
- 12:36will find new information.
- 12:38And then they start profiting and trying to get other people to believe it, even when
- 12:42they know that this is not true.
- 12:44And that's where the delusion comes in.
- 12:45They know it's a lie, not everyone, but a lot of them because there are deceivers and
- 12:50there are those who are deceived.
- 12:53So the deceivers know it's most of them know it's a lie, but they're pushing it anyway
- 12:57because they're trying to make disciples of the leopards.
- 13:02Really it's demonic what they're doing.
- 13:05Most of us make disciples right of the kingdom, but we know this is a spiritual battle at
- 13:10its core.
- 13:11Satan is absolutely pulling out all the stops to try to reach children and to make disciples
- 13:15for him and social justice activists and so on.
- 13:19But we've got to take a very quick break when we come back with Laura Perry Smaltz.
- 13:23We're to talk about Megan Rapinoe or might be Rapinoe and her final game.
- 13:29It ended because of an injury and she ended up mocking the God she doesn't believe in.
- 13:34That's next.
- 13:35Today's show is brought to you by Harbinger's Daily.

- 14:28It's our fundraiser between now and Christmas.
- 14:30On one side, it's the name of the show.
- 14:32And on the other side, there it is.
- 14:34Keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
- 14:37So back to Laura Perry-Smoltz.
- 14:39Let's talk about Megan.
- 14:41Sad that she's so incredibly influential.
- 14:45She is so lost and she seems so bitter and angry.
- 14:49Now understand that because she doesn't have God in her life.
- 14:52So she got injured apparently the final game of her career and she ends up mocking God.
- 14:59I'm just going to read this.
- 15:01It's kind of symbolic.
- 15:02I'm in a post game press conference.
- 15:05She says, I'm not a religious person or anything.
- 15:09And if there was a God, this is proof that there isn't.
- 15:13This is so, and then she goes on a tirade of, you know, cusses and she's angry and she doesn't get it.
- 15:21All of a sudden, you know, what the whatever.
- 15:23But isn't this interesting Laura Perry-Smoltz?
- 15:25She says, if there was a God, this is proof that there isn't.
- 15:30So she's the God of the women's soccer world, I guess.
- 15:34Or she sees herself as a God.
- 15:35She's placed herself there.
- 15:36She's created that image of herself.
- 15:39And because something happened to her, there couldn't possibly be a God then because she got injured.
- 15:46Your thoughts on that warped worldview?
- 15:50Yeah, first of all, what a narcissistic point of view.
- 15:53Yeah.
- 15:54But also it, honestly, this is the core of, this is a perfect article to bring up.
- 16:00Because this is kind of, my name Perry's heart in this ministry is the fact that we were all created for the Garden of Eden, for this perfect world,
- 16:09where there was no sin and brokenness, there was no injuries, there were no health problems, our bodies were not under this curse of sin.
- 16:16And as God intended us, but this world's broken and under the curse of sin.
- 16:20And the reason that's so important to understand is because most atheists that I've ever heard, most people that turn away from the Lord,
- 16:27these young people that are leaving the faith and droves.
- 16:30And most of them, it all hinges on doubting God's goodness.
- 16:35And they say, if God is good, why would he allow this in my life?
- 16:38Why does a good God allow evil?
- 16:41Why does a good God allow suffering?
- 16:43Why does a good God allow this from the top atheists?
- 16:46And then they're repeated by our kids.
- 16:48And I think the reality is this world is broken because of the brokenness of sin, our bodies are under the curse of sin, that this earth is under the curse of sin and everything in it.
- 16:58But God is ultimately going to restore all of this to, to the new creation to we are created as new creations are spirit, but our bodies will also be a new creation one day.
- 17:12We live in a new earth where there will be no pain in suffering.
- 17:15And so that's what's so tragic about this is that she doesn't understand.
- 17:19It's not God who created her suffering.
- 17:22Evil is the absence of God.
- 17:24Suffering is, you know, and so I think if people could understand this concept, in fact, Romans, I think it's Romans 2.4.
- 17:33It's that is the goodness of God that leads to her penance.
- 17:35So people can understand the goodness of what he created, what the purpose that he created a sport, but the value he places on their life that he came to this earth and died and gave himself as our sacrifice to redeem the brokenness of this world.
- 17:50And there's another point in here that goes back to the target conversation about what are you supporting even when it comes to entertainment friends when it comes to sports.
- 18:00Everybody has their favorite sports team, but no one cares what kind of faith they have if any.
- 18:05And I think that should be, that's a problem.
- 18:08This should be a conversation we're having.
- 18:10If there's an athlete in any sport that is using their platform to say glory be to God, I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, it's because of him that I'm blessed to be able to do what I do and train my body the way I did where I can perform the way.
- 18:23You know, I will, I will root for that person and, and whoever team they're on above saying, nope, I'm always this, this team's fan for the rest of my life.
- 18:32That's idolatry. I'll just be very plain and simple. That's idolatry friends. So be careful that, but I just want to very sarcastic closing to this article.
- 18:41This is over at redstate.com. He says, surely what the United States really needs is one of its national athletes, athletes insulting over half the nation's religious beliefs.
- 18:52What a rousing show of unity and respect that will draw more viewers to a sport that most people already don't pay attention to anyway.
- 19:02That's another article for a different time. We'll follow up on that and see if she see what happens if she changes her mind about God.
- 19:12But let's see. All right, Riley gains. She's one that competed against the male swimmer, Leah Thomas, and he, Leah Thomas beat her in a race.
- 19:22I believe that was in high school. Oh, and in no college, Pennsylvania, I believe. So she's been a spokesperson for women's sports and women's rights and trying to speak some sanity into this, allowing males to compete against females.
- 19:37So over on her Twitter ex, she says, what do you know, a mediocre male flipping to the women's team and then suddenly dominating the sport.
- 19:50And she's got a picture of this boy that's dominating a girl's high school conference, a runner in California. The runner's name is Athena Ryan. He, Athena Ryan finished first in a field of 55 girls at the coastal mountain conference championships in Santa Rosa, California this month.
- 20:13And I just want to get your take on this Laura. I don't remember if we talked much about the sporting aspect of drag or transgenderism or this confusion that it seems like the world is just kind of going, okay, we better go along with this because we don't want to insult anybody, but there are women getting hurt in sports.
- 20:34But this is, of course, running a different thing, but she's he is still beating girls and this could come down to scholarships, a loss of scholarships for young girls and women, Riley gains God bless her for what she's trying to do.
- 20:50Yeah, absolutely. And in fact, this whole idea of men competing in women's sports is ridiculous, even if it's not a context for the horrible things we've seen in some of the boxing and context sports and the way women are getting hurt is one thing. But even in these sports, there's such an unfair advantage because even if a male takes estrogen and blocks testosterone, that affects part of his body.
- 21:14But he still has a larger heart. He has a larger lung capacity. He has or not larger, sorry, but there's like some differences, but broader shoulders, taller height, denser bones, different muscle composition.
- 21:29And also just the entire body as I've studied this, and this is part of the future of our ministry that literally the entire body is designed as male or female.
- 21:40And there's differences all over the body. And they've said, and some aspects are more profoundly different than others, but they said in grip strength, for example, for some sports.
- 21:50The grip strength is so vastly different that they said the bottom, the top 10% of females can only be the bottom 10% of males because there's so much difference.
- 22:00But in running and things, men have an explosive power. There's a different composition of the muscles. And there's so many factors, their feet are actually different in the structure. So this is a huge unfair advantage.
- 22:12Yeah. And I mean, aside from the word of God and how we are created, male and female, God's design, which you're going to be talking a lot about in your ministry, how God designed us.
- 22:22There is science and biology that we are just casting aside. Let's go to the next story. And this is what the White House is putting out, you know, whoever's running Joe Biden and his administration, they're putting out this to support the delusion.
- 22:37And this is what happens when you politicize science. So Riley gains again, I got it, got this offer page. The Biden administration is pushing to include trans identifying males data in women's statistics as it pertains to both health and crime.
- 22:56And then it's this is kind of interesting. The number of women with prostate cancer and women who have been charged with sexual assault crimes has increased by a thousand percent in the past year.
- 23:09And that's I find that interesting meaning it's men transgenders, right, that are causing this or that though they're falling into some of these stats.
- 23:18But Laura, we've got an administration. We've got a government. We've got the media, we've got Hollywood, the education system. And of course, our own government is politicizing this. They're pushing this.
- 23:31It's a minority of the population. A lot of us don't understand what what could they be thinking. What are they gaining from this is this just the demonic aspect that it doesn't matter. They're pushing it. What are your thoughts?
- 23:46Well, I think there is definitely a demonic force behind it, but I think the true demonic force is not just to make them LGBT or to promote that. That's just part of the greater agenda of destroying human life.
- 24:01And so I think this is really about these people that are really for depopulating the earth. Yes.
- 24:06I mean, homosexuality does not produce children. And even if you adopt, that still doesn't bring a new life into the world.
- 24:15You say, okay, some of these are getting pregnant by the opposite sex, whatever. And they're saying men can get pregnant now. I mean, this is all ridiculous, but you're still raising them in this environment where you're giving them a very unstable home. You're leading to more brokenness.
- 24:30But you also have, I mean, abortion is about killing human seed, transgenderism about making people sterile and cutting off genitalia. And then you have homosexuality about not producing children.
- 24:40And I think this all points to Satan's ultimate agenda tomorrow, the image of God that does exist on this earth to stop it from producing and from ultimately destroying all human means.
- 24:52That is right on, right on. That's what I like to talk about too, because we need to explain to people, here's what's happening. First, the abortion movement. I mean, we've got a Holocaust in our own country that started over 100 years ago with Margaret saying on others.
- 25:09And, you know, we mentioned same sex marriage, homosexuality. You're not going to procreate. The Bible says, be fruitful and multiply. It takes a male and a female to do that. So you're not going to do that. And then you've got euthanasia, which is really sad, Laura, because five or six states in America have legalized euthanasia up in Canada. They call it made.
- 25:30M-A-I-D medical assistance in dying. We've got transgender surgeries, as you mentioned, they're going to be cutting off perfectly healthy body parts. And what other health surgery would you ever do that? And then the vaccines.
- 25:46There's been studies that women are struggling with infertility, and there are other issues when it comes to reproduction. So you're right, it is a population control agenda that's involving all of these aspects. And Laura, how about just some encouragement for our listeners as we were in Thanksgiving and Christmas season here for the Christian that's looking at all this and going, wow, we never thought we'd see these things in our lifetime.
- 26:11Give us a little bit of encouragement and hope here as we wrap up.
- 26:16I think it can be summed up in Isaiah 41, verse 8, the grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.
- 26:25Amen. Amen. Eternal. The word is eternal. It is also alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.
- 26:32And Jesus, Jesus said, I am the way of the truth and the life known comes to the Father, except through me. And he is the same yesterday, today and forever.
- 26:41Thank you, Laura. We appreciate your perspective. It's always great to catch up with you. The next time we talk, I'm in Lord willing, you will have that name for your ministry.
- 26:50And hopefully you'll be going strong, but thanks again, God bless you and say how to parry.
- 26:55All right, thank you. God bless. All right, Laura. Bye-bye.
- 26:58All right, friends, another great show. Thank you again for allowing us to bring you guests like we've been able to talk to them blessed by the people that I get to share with and I get to hear their expertise.
- 27:10It encourages me and it stiffens my spine, encourages my faith. I hope that it does the same for you that these programs are informative and encouraging.
- 27:20Lord willing, we'll keep them going. God bless you and as always, keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
