- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya Radd, an iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And two-time People's Choice Award-winning podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Hello, everybody.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We are Scrubbing In.
- 0:16Speaker 3: It is Monday, October 19th, and what a lovely day
- 0:19Speaker 3: it is.
- 0:19Speaker 2: It's beautiful.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Beautiful. The birds are chirping.
- 0:24Speaker 4: The sun is shining. It's not too hot out. It's
- 0:26Speaker 4: a little crisp this morning.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Oh, you haven't been out in a minute.
- 0:29Speaker 3: It's quite warm.
- 0:30Speaker 2: It's warmed up. It's warmed up since your early morning.
- 0:33Speaker 1: It's 83 degrees.
- 0:35Speaker 4: I had my seat heater and my steering wheel heater
- 0:37Speaker 4: on this morning as.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I drove into work.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Yep.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Wow.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Yep. So feeling crisp, feeling rejuvenated. How you doing, girl?
- 0:46Speaker 1: Girl?
- 0:47Speaker 2: How you doing, girl? Girl, I had a... I had
- 0:50Speaker 2: a fun week, honestly. Wow. I was busy.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I was busy too.
- 0:55Speaker 2: We were just busy girls on the go.
- 0:57Speaker 4: I told Robbie, I said yesterday, I don't want to
- 1:00Speaker 4: leave this couch because I'm tired. I was out every
- 1:03Speaker 4: day last week.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:06Speaker 2: What'd you do? What were you up to?
- 1:07Speaker 3: Stuff with you, stuff with me, stuff with work.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Should we get to the stuff with us? Sure. To
- 1:14Speaker 2: start out? Yeah. So last week we teased that we
- 1:17Speaker 2: were going to the live Showing of... Live filming of
- 1:22Speaker 2: Dancing with the Stars.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Live episode.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Yes. Yes. That's what I said.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Well, because they're doing a Dancing with the Stars live tour.
- 1:33Speaker 3: So it gets confusing. Okay.
- 1:35Speaker 2: We went to the filming of the TV show we're
- 1:37Speaker 2: all watching right now. And we get there and we
- 1:41Speaker 2: were so excited. It was me, Haley, Tanya, and Robbie.
- 1:45Speaker 3: A little double date.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Cute, right? A little double date. I've been.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, adorable. Yeah, go ahead.
- 1:55Speaker 2: And I've been before, but Haley, Tanya, and Robbie have
- 1:59Speaker 2: never experienced the live filming of the show. So I
- 2:02Speaker 2: was really excited for them to get to experience it.
- 2:05Speaker 2: So we go and we're waiting in the line, which
- 2:07Speaker 2: I've always gone where I've been with someone and we
- 2:11Speaker 2: kind of have like the.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Someone in high places.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yeah, someone in high places. Like last year I went
- 2:16Speaker 2: with Caitlin Bristow and she was doing something... participating on
- 2:20Speaker 2: the show. So she had a plus one. And so
- 2:22Speaker 2: I was sitting in like the second row. And so
- 2:26Speaker 2: this is the first time where I didn't, that we
- 2:31Speaker 2: kind of had to like sign in and get tickets
- 2:33Speaker 2: and get in the line and everything, which was totally fine.
- 2:35Speaker 2: We were ready for the experience. But by the.
- 2:38Speaker 4: Way, I just have to tell you that like, I'm
- 2:40Speaker 4: the person, they always give you like a window of time.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:43Speaker 4: I did this with the Survivor finale too. They say,
- 2:46Speaker 4: show up, like be in your seat by, Whatever the
- 2:49Speaker 4: time is, I think for Dancing with the Stars, it
- 2:52Speaker 4: was 4.15. And they give you a window, 3 to 4.15, right?
- 2:55Speaker 4: Just make sure you're in your seat by 4.15.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Right. You can come as early as 3. Right. With Survivor,
- 3:00Speaker 3: I remember it was 2. Okay.
- 3:01Speaker 4: We had to pick my stepson out of school early
- 3:04Speaker 4: because I was like, I have to get there right
- 3:07Speaker 4: at the top of it because I cannot be the
- 3:10Speaker 4: person that's like late and not.
- 3:11Speaker 3: I have like a fear of not being let in
- 3:13Speaker 3: my seat.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:14Speaker 3: So I got there early. Right at 3 on the nose. 315,
- 3:17Speaker 3: was it?
- 3:18Speaker 2: Yeah, 315.
- 3:18Speaker 3: They started at 315 on the nose. Wow.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yeah. We got there... Well, again, I have always had
- 3:26Speaker 2: gotten to park on the lot. So then I read
- 3:29Speaker 2: the instructions and I was like, oh, actually... we don't
- 3:32Speaker 2: have parking. So we are, I think we had to
- 3:33Speaker 2: go park in a parking garage.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:35Speaker 2: And so we had to account for the time of walking.
- 3:38Speaker 2: So I think we walked up around like four or something.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 2: And, um, we signed in and we get in line
- 3:45Speaker 2: and we talk, we run into some friends or like
- 3:48Speaker 2: chit chatting. And then we get, we start all getting
- 3:52Speaker 2: corralled into the ballroom. Yeah. And as we're walking in,
- 3:58Speaker 2: I noticed we take a sharp, turn and we start
- 4:01Speaker 2: going upstairs and i'm like okay like i haven't sat
- 4:05Speaker 2: up in the balcony that's really fun and um then
- 4:08Speaker 2: we get to our seats and we're like against the
- 4:12Speaker 2: back row like.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Literally like i had to take my phone out to
- 4:18Speaker 4: like find my like name because it was very dark
- 4:22Speaker 4: So we were like, okay.
- 4:24Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 4:24Speaker 2: We'll still be able to feel the energy. We'll have,
- 4:27Speaker 2: you'll know, we'll be looking out down on them. So our,
- 4:30Speaker 2: our view of the dance will be great.
- 4:31Speaker 3: We have like a bird's eye view and like, this
- 4:33Speaker 3: will be good.
- 4:34Speaker 2: But then I turn around and I, I have a
- 4:37Speaker 2: lighting rig like crane right in front of me. So
- 4:40Speaker 2: it's like splitting the, the dance floor. So unless they
- 4:45Speaker 2: were on the stage or on the other end of
- 4:47Speaker 2: the dance floor, I couldn't really see them.
- 4:52Speaker 4: I couldn't see the top of the dance floor, so
- 4:54Speaker 4: I could only see when they got to the end
- 4:56Speaker 4: of the dance floor.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Yeah, so when y'all were like, where are y'all? You
- 5:02Speaker 2: wouldn't have seen us. And also, there wasn't much footage
- 5:06Speaker 2: to get without there being a lighting rig in there, so...
- 5:11Speaker 2: The energy was electric.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Honestly, it was like a party in there. Like I
- 5:15Speaker 4: was shook at how much energy it was. And Robbie
- 5:18Speaker 4: even goes, they should film this on Fridays because like
- 5:21Speaker 4: I'd want to go out. I'd want to like go
- 5:22Speaker 4: out and like party after this. Yeah, it's like a Tuesday.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Like they all get like hyped and they have to
- 5:27Speaker 4: like go home and go to work the next day.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Well, I told someone, I told someone that I was
- 5:31Speaker 2: going and we had gone like a year, like Almost
- 5:34Speaker 2: 10 years ago. And they were like, oh, it was
- 5:38Speaker 2: kind of boring. And I'm like, it's very different now.
- 5:40Speaker 2: It is.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 5:41Speaker 2: High energy. Yeah, it's changed. It's like way more hype now.
- 5:46Speaker 3: But I can't imagine it being boring.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I don't think boring. But if you don't like ballroom dancing.
- 5:51Speaker 3: I don't like ballroom dancing.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I know that's what I'm saying. They've changed a lot
- 5:54Speaker 2: because it's just like energetic. You want them to post
- 5:58Speaker 2: on social media. You know, it's very.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 6:02Speaker 2: So anyways, I know a lot of you were concerned
- 6:04Speaker 2: why we weren't posting. I was in a spiral because
- 6:09Speaker 2: of my bangs. I had just started my period. It
- 6:11Speaker 2: was just like there was a lot of elements that
- 6:13Speaker 2: led to... Just being present and in the moment.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:17Speaker 4: I tried to get a video, and I was like...
- 6:19Speaker 4: And then they also told you that you can't film during.
- 6:21Speaker 3: The dances, and you know what Tanya did?
- 6:22Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. She kept pulling on her bright-ass phone
- 6:25Speaker 2: in the middle.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I'm like, we're in the shadows.
- 6:27Speaker 2: They don't care about us pulling out our phones. I
- 6:28Speaker 2: think our light showed up even more because we were
- 6:30Speaker 2: in the shadows.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Becca's like, you can't have it out during the performance.
- 6:33Speaker 3: I was like, you know what? I can't even get
- 6:35Speaker 3: good video anyways.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I'm fine. Yeah, the lighting rig. What were you trying
- 6:39Speaker 2: to do?
- 6:39Speaker 3: I was trying to zoom through it.
- 6:42Speaker 2: So, anyways, we... We had a great time, and we
- 6:44Speaker 2: also need redemption to where we're down in the action. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Which we will have one day.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:50Speaker 2: It's just really hard to get tickets.
- 6:52Speaker 3: It's so hard to get tickets.
- 6:53Speaker 2: They said it's the number one show on television right now.
- 6:57Speaker 2: So we were honored to be a part.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Can you do a quick Google?
- 6:59Speaker 1: Sure, happy to.
- 7:00Speaker 3: How many people are watching?
- 7:01Speaker 2: What? I was going to say, Whitney and Guillermo ended
- 7:05Speaker 2: up going home.
- 7:05Speaker 3: What?
- 7:07Speaker 2: I thought it was his best dance. I did too.
- 7:10Speaker 3: And I'm like annoyed. I'm honestly annoyed.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Because everybody gets on social media and they're like, Guillermo's
- 7:19Speaker 4: the worst. It's time for him to go. But it's
- 7:21Speaker 4: not called the best dancer of the stars.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you've already said you've already done this.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it bothers me.
- 7:28Speaker 2: The main point I want to make is Whitney is
- 7:30Speaker 2: pregnant and she was hoisted in a split in the air.
- 7:36Speaker 2: At the beginning of their dance that he scuba under. Yeah.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Whitney has really every week just like turned it out.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Like she's been top notch. She does not even look
- 7:44Speaker 4: pregnant because she's just like ripping through that dance floor.
- 7:48Speaker 4: But like Guillermo really did such an amazing job this week.
- 7:52Speaker 4: And I was so upset that they went home.
- 7:54Speaker 2: He did a great job. He lasted longer than I
- 7:56Speaker 2: think anyone anticipated him lasting. And Whitney did such an
- 8:00Speaker 2: amazing job choreographing dancing around his body. level of ability
- 8:05Speaker 2: and technique, but it's time. It was their time.
- 8:08Speaker 3: I don't think it was their time.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Respectfully. I don't. Who did you think was going to
- 8:13Speaker 2: go home?
- 8:13Speaker 3: Tyler or Jackson? I, those. Yeah, it was time.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:19Speaker 3: But anyways, it wasn't gear most time.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I know a lot of you were concerned about us
- 8:22Speaker 2: not posting and thought we didn't go. It's okay. It's okay.
- 8:25Speaker 2: We were just in the shadows behind the rig.
- 8:27Speaker 4: I did take some pictures. That I posted later. No,
- 8:32Speaker 4: because I was like scared to have my phone out
- 8:34Speaker 4: because of you.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Not because of me. The girl kept coming by.
- 8:37Speaker 4: I know, but I'm like, because I'm your guest, I
- 8:40Speaker 4: wanted to be extra respectful because it was like.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Your name on the line instead of mine.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 8:44Speaker 3: You know? Yeah.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Tanya's name also, because Tanya has legally changed her name.
- 8:50Speaker 2: She's not like her. Everyone knows her as Tanya Rad.
- 8:53Speaker 2: And so when they see her last name, they don't
- 8:55Speaker 2: know her as that yet. So she just said she
- 8:58Speaker 2: could do whatever she wanted.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Whatever I wanted.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Just it was just. Well, my name was Rebecca. Rebecca's friends. Yeah.
- 9:06Speaker 2: So anyways, it was really fun. And this week is
- 9:10Speaker 2: dedication night.
- 9:11Speaker 4: No, but we also bypassed the craziness that was last
- 9:14Speaker 4: week of Jenna Johnson's dance and Carrie Ann Anaba and
- 9:19Speaker 4: all the drama that has ensued since.
- 9:23Speaker 3: What's your take on that? Well, should we set it
- 9:25Speaker 3: up for people that don't watch, maybe? Yeah, sure. So
- 9:28Speaker 3: Carrie Ann Anaba is a judge. She... had like a very.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Intense interaction with Jenna Johnson, who is the professional dancer
- 9:35Speaker 4: who's partnered with Harry Shum Jr. because they had a
- 9:37Speaker 4: lift in their dance. I'm not a dancer, but there's
- 9:41Speaker 4: a lot of people that do lifts on this show.
- 9:44Speaker 3: And I did find it annoying.
- 9:45Speaker 4: And I didn't enjoy Carrie Ann and Abba's quip about
- 9:49Speaker 4: their lift because I felt like so many other people
- 9:52Speaker 4: do it as well.
- 9:53Speaker 3: It just felt, I don't know. I didn't like it.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Regardless, it was a very awkward exchange and, And Val
- 10:03Speaker 4: being Jenna Johnson's husband.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Jenna handled it really well.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Like, there was tension. It was definitely tense. And I
- 10:11Speaker 2: feel like Carrie Ann... The way she was like, let
- 10:14Speaker 2: me read and read to you. It was a little
- 10:16Speaker 2: condescending and passive aggressive.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Very condescending and passive aggressive.
- 10:18Speaker 2: And so I felt like considering the situation and dynamic,
- 10:22Speaker 2: I think Jenna handled it well. And then even in
- 10:24Speaker 2: interviews later was like, listen, she's a judge. We're supposed
- 10:26Speaker 2: to take their critique like this is what it's about.
- 10:29Speaker 2: And I felt like she handled it well, even though
- 10:31Speaker 2: you could tell she was on the defense a little bit.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 10:33Speaker 2: So then go ahead.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Her husband, Val, another professional dancer on the show who's
- 10:38Speaker 4: partnered with Jenna Dewan, posted on Instagram saying, I was
- 10:41Speaker 4: about to go fresh Prince in the ballroom, implying that
- 10:46Speaker 4: I think the connotation was that he was going to
- 10:48Speaker 4: pull Will Smith and smack her. That's what I think
- 10:52Speaker 4: everybody took it as, even though it might not been
- 10:54Speaker 4: his intention.
- 10:55Speaker 3: I don't really know. Fresh Prince, if the Fresh Prince.
- 10:58Speaker 2: No, his argument was that he meant he was keep
- 11:02Speaker 2: my wife's name out of your mouth, that part of it,
- 11:04Speaker 2: and not the physical act of the slap. But without
- 11:08Speaker 2: the clarity, I think everyone assumed he meant the slap, right?
- 11:14Speaker 3: Oh, okay. Well, yeah.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Okay.
- 11:18Speaker 3: So over the weekend, they announced that they were suspending Val.
- 11:22Speaker 2: He's going to be benched.
- 11:23Speaker 3: He's going to be benched.
- 11:23Speaker 4: So Jenna Dewan is getting a new partner that she's
- 11:26Speaker 4: never worked with before on dedication week, which is like
- 11:31Speaker 4: going to be really special and emotional. And now she's
- 11:33Speaker 4: working with someone that she hasn't built chemistry with over
- 11:35Speaker 4: the last five weeks. I think it's a detriment to
- 11:38Speaker 4: her and I just don't think it's fair.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Well, I guess a lot of times during dedication night,
- 11:42Speaker 2: sometimes they won't send someone home. So I think they're
- 11:45Speaker 2: hoping that no one gets sent home because it's such
- 11:47Speaker 2: a special night. I think that's happened in the past.
- 11:51Speaker 2: I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think everyone's saying, okay,
- 11:54Speaker 2: if they were to vote her to go home, like
- 11:56Speaker 2: maybe she'll have another week. But my thing is, you can't,
- 12:02Speaker 2: you can't say things like that without clarify. If you're
- 12:05Speaker 2: going to, if you meant keep my wife's name out
- 12:08Speaker 2: of your mouth, then you should have written, keep my
- 12:10Speaker 2: wife's name out of your mouth. Yeah. But with the
- 12:12Speaker 2: association of that, that moment with Will Smith, like it
- 12:17Speaker 2: was violence. And so it was just something that you, you,
- 12:22Speaker 2: you don't get to talk about violence.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Right. I agree. But then like maybe make him like
- 12:27Speaker 3: publicly apologize on the show or like, make a statement
- 12:30Speaker 3: at the top of the show saying it really affects
- 12:32Speaker 3: Jenna yeah that's what.
- 12:33Speaker 4: I'm saying it should they should make like benching Val
- 12:37Speaker 4: okay he's like I'll sleep.
- 12:38Speaker 3: A little more you know like but.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yeah it affects her mostly which sucks lots of drama
- 12:46Speaker 2: this I've seen a lot there's a lot of negativity
- 12:49Speaker 2: around Dancing with the Stars this year and I've seen
- 12:51Speaker 2: some of the celebrities and pros talk about like hey
- 12:53Speaker 2: this is just supposed to be a fun dancing competition
- 12:55Speaker 2: show and y'all are making it not fun.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Dang my first time so.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Yeah you're really in like a dramatic.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Light drama it's just drama filled.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Yeah lots of drama yeah so we'll see what happens
- 13:10Speaker 2: but um there are rumors that so tyler cameron is
- 13:13Speaker 2: dedicating his dance to all the moms and his mom
- 13:18Speaker 2: passed away i think in 2020 um And so I
- 13:21Speaker 2: thought he was going to dedicate it to his mom,
- 13:23Speaker 2: but he's doing it to all the moms. And now
- 13:25Speaker 2: people are suspecting that maybe Tate is pregnant and they're
- 13:29Speaker 2: going to announce it on the dedication night. Wow. Which
- 13:35Speaker 2: is emo. Because I'm like, that makes sense why he's like,
- 13:38Speaker 2: I'm going to dedicate it to all the moms. And
- 13:40Speaker 2: then he's like, this mom.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Because I'm about to have a mom.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Make a mom. With my baby.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I've made a mom.
- 13:48Speaker 3: I've made my partner a mom. I've made my partner
- 13:52Speaker 3: a mom.
- 13:53Speaker 2: A mommy. Yeah, a mommy.
- 13:54Speaker 3: A mamacita. A mamacita.
- 13:58Speaker 4: You're not going to care about this at all, and
- 14:00Speaker 4: nobody on this podcast watches Love Island.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I love that. That's like an anti-tease. Here's something none
- 14:06Speaker 1: of you are going to care about.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Well, our listeners will.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Okay.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Because Sammy from Love Island announced that she's pregnant with
- 14:12Speaker 4: Tyreek's baby.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 14:14Speaker 4: And it shook me to my core this morning. Like
- 14:16Speaker 4: I saw it and it shook me to my core.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Are they a couple? Yeah.
- 14:21Speaker 4: But she won Love Island with Kieran. And then she
- 14:23Speaker 4: broke up with Kieran, started dating this guy quickly. And
- 14:26Speaker 4: now they're having a baby.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Sounds like they were supposed to be together. They really
- 14:31Speaker 2: wanted each other. Yeah.
- 14:33Speaker 3: It shook me to my core. That's all I'm going
- 14:34Speaker 3: to say about that.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I don't know that there is much more to say
- 14:38Speaker 2: about it.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Well, if we were on a Love Island podcast, there'd
- 14:40Speaker 3: be much.
- 14:41Speaker 2: More to say. So last night was the, oh, what
- 14:46Speaker 2: else did you do this week? I went to, I
- 14:48Speaker 2: did so much. I was like, Wednesday night I went
- 14:51Speaker 2: to a birthday party that started at nine.
- 14:53Speaker 3: That is sick.
- 14:55Speaker 4: There's nobody's birthday party that I'm going to that starts
- 14:57Speaker 4: at nine unless it's yours.
- 14:59Speaker 2: I was going to say, thank you so much. And
- 15:01Speaker 2: then I went to see Miley Cyrus at the Bowl
- 15:03Speaker 2: on Friday.
- 15:05Speaker 3: I heard a lot of mixed reviews.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I think people are just haters. Here's the thing. She's
- 15:10Speaker 2: not 12 anymore, you know?
- 15:15Speaker 4: Yeah, but she was like, on her Bangers tour, she
- 15:19Speaker 4: also wasn't 12 and she was given it.
- 15:21Speaker 2: I know. She did most of her new album, which
- 15:25Speaker 2: I don't know a lot of, but really enjoyed. It
- 15:28Speaker 2: made me want to listen to more of it. But
- 15:30Speaker 2: when she played the stretch of songs that we all
- 15:33Speaker 2: know and love, like We Can't Stop, Party in the USA,
- 15:38Speaker 2: wrecking ball.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Flowers.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Flowers. It was so much fun. And let me tell
- 15:46Speaker 2: you something. I have not drank a lot in a
- 15:48Speaker 2: long time. Probably since your wedding. I didn't have that much.
- 15:51Speaker 2: But I drank a lot of wine, which made me
- 15:54Speaker 2: so giggly.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Yeah, wine's a fun drunk. I was so fun.
- 15:57Speaker 2: But it really teeters.
- 15:58Speaker 4: You can have so much fun, and then you get
- 16:00Speaker 4: a little too wine drunk, and then you're throwing up.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't hit that. I wasn't even hungover the
- 16:05Speaker 2: next day. So whatever, I did a great amount. But
- 16:07Speaker 2: I was having so much fun giggling. And then Saturday night,
- 16:14Speaker 2: we went and saw Young Miko, who also went on
- 16:17Speaker 2: at 9 p.m. Everyone's going on so late these days.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Do you know who doesn't go on late?
- 16:24Speaker 2: Why is 9 p.m. the start time?
- 16:25Speaker 3: Do you know who doesn't go on late?
- 16:26Speaker 2: Who?
- 16:27Speaker 3: The Jonas Brothers.
- 16:28Speaker 2: What time do they go on?
- 16:29Speaker 3: 8 p.m.
- 16:30Speaker 2: That's so thoughtful.
- 16:31Speaker 3: It is so thoughtful. I love them for many reasons,
- 16:33Speaker 3: and that included.
- 16:34Speaker 2: At least it was a Saturday night, though. It was like, okay,
- 16:37Speaker 2: we're good.
- 16:37Speaker 3: I don't want to throw off my REM cycle. No,
- 16:40Speaker 3: it was.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Young Mika is so cool. That was my first time
- 16:44Speaker 2: seeing her perform, and... she is just swaggy. So cool.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Swaggy.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Can't buy cool.
- 16:51Speaker 2: She would do, you cannot buy cool. She would just
- 16:54Speaker 2: do like a slow movement where she kind of looked
- 16:56Speaker 2: to the audience and they'd go crazy. I was like,
- 16:58Speaker 2: she just has to look a certain way and they
- 17:01Speaker 2: go nuts.
- 17:02Speaker 3: That power. That power would get to my head. Yeah, same.
- 17:05Speaker 3: It would really get to my head.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Yeah. I want to talk about how There was the
- 17:13Speaker 2: Victoria's Secret fashion show last night and there was also
- 17:15Speaker 2: some kind of drama around that and who was cast, etc.
- 17:21Speaker 2: But let's take a break and we'll come back with that.
- 17:41Speaker 3: We're back.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Victoria's Secret fashion show last week. I mean, last night. Yeah.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I didn't watch it, but I saw clips of it
- 17:48Speaker 2: and I saw some things leading up to it that
- 17:51Speaker 2: I thought were good topic, topics of discussion.
- 17:55Speaker 3: So I watched the whole thing.
- 17:56Speaker 2: And?
- 17:57Speaker 3: Top to bottom.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Okay. Do you watch it every year?
- 17:59Speaker 3: Uh, I used to back in the day.
- 18:02Speaker 4: And then like, I don't remember the timeline. It got
- 18:04Speaker 4: canceled for like eight years or something.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I don't know. I haven't like, I don't think eight years,
- 18:09Speaker 3: but sure. I think so.
- 18:11Speaker 2: No, no. I went to 2018 and I think it
- 18:13Speaker 2: came back around like 2022 or something.
- 18:15Speaker 1: So Mark, I'm on it.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Quick Google. I think it was eight years. Oh, well, yeah.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 18:21Speaker 3: Um, but I used to be like an avid watcher
- 18:23Speaker 3: when I was like in college.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Um, But I wanted to just like stay laying down
- 18:28Speaker 4: yesterday and I saw this hubbub about they didn't do
- 18:30Speaker 4: a very good job promoting it. I will say because
- 18:32Speaker 4: I aside from yesterday, like seeing people on Instagram, they're going.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I had no idea that it was on yesterday.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I felt that, too.
- 18:40Speaker 3: So Victoria's Secret, I would enjoy a little bit more promo.
- 18:44Speaker 4: If you need some ad space, you can please call
- 18:46Speaker 4: scrubbing and we'd be happy to promote your fashion show.
- 18:50Speaker 4: But I feel like they didn't promote it enough.
- 18:52Speaker 3: And it was a fantastic show. Show.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 18:56Speaker 3: I was locked in the whole hour. I watched it.
- 18:59Speaker 3: It was on YouTube. Okay.
- 19:01Speaker 4: So Robbie could watch his sports. I let him watch
- 19:03Speaker 4: his sports. And I watched my Victoria's Secret fashion show
- 19:05Speaker 4: on my computer. And I was locked in the full hour.
- 19:08Speaker 4: I only missed like five minutes to eat my chocolate croissant.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Other than that, I was locked in. The music performances
- 19:17Speaker 4: were top notch. I love that they had all women.
- 19:21Speaker 4: It just felt like girl power.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:25Speaker 2: You know what? I love hearing this because sometimes when
- 19:28Speaker 2: I get the information from social media or TikTok or whatever,
- 19:31Speaker 2: it's always so negative and critiques. Oh, what were they saying?
- 19:35Speaker 2: They just were saying like Cat's Eye was like all
- 19:37Speaker 2: over the place, getting in the way of the models.
- 19:39Speaker 2: And Megan Maroney was in the way of the models.
- 19:42Speaker 4: You know, the only thing that I did notice, but
- 19:45Speaker 4: like normally the people interact more on the runway, like
- 19:49Speaker 4: they'll like hype.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Each other.
- 19:51Speaker 2: I remember Taylor Swift. Yes. Oh, yeah.
- 19:52Speaker 3: And it felt like the musical performers were just trying to, like,
- 19:55Speaker 3: stay out of the way of, like, the models.
- 19:57Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 19:57Speaker 3: Where I wish they would have, like, interacted a little
- 19:59Speaker 3: bit more. I did feel like that was.
- 20:02Speaker 2: A little bit weird.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Yeah. Like they were trying to like dodge where they
- 20:05Speaker 3: should have been like, oh, like, you know.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Like a little squeeze. Yeah. A little squeeze on the bum.
- 20:10Speaker 3: A little squeeze here. Yeah, I don't know.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Well, I did see Tate McRae and she killed it.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Her walk at the end, I was like, she has
- 20:19Speaker 2: like a legit model walk.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Honestly, I felt like all the performers, like, yes, Cat's
- 20:25Speaker 4: Eye was like a little all over the place, but
- 20:27Speaker 4: they were still so good.
- 20:27Speaker 3: The songs were like bops.
- 20:29Speaker 4: The girls were like, prancing down the runway like i
- 20:32Speaker 4: don't know uh meg the stallion was like yeah bangers
- 20:37Speaker 4: yeah just banged them out then the moment where kylie
- 20:41Speaker 4: jenner came out controversial she comes out and i'm like
- 20:46Speaker 4: oh it's like very dark you just see the silhouette
- 20:48Speaker 4: i'm like oh this is like a moment like they're
- 20:49Speaker 4: trying to make this like a moment who is that
- 20:52Speaker 4: who who is what is that what is it's kylie
- 20:56Speaker 4: jenner in the fantasy bra yeah then it pans over
- 20:58Speaker 4: to chris jenner and timmy Wearing sunglasses, which I don't enjoy.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Both of them?
- 21:04Speaker 3: People wearing sunglasses inside.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:05Speaker 3: I don't enjoy it.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:09Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:11Speaker 3: I was eating it up with a spoon.
- 21:13Speaker 2: There was some controversy around it because I guess becoming
- 21:17Speaker 2: the model who gets to wear that bra is such
- 21:21Speaker 2: an honor moment. And people work so hard. They try
- 21:25Speaker 2: to get to that. And then her first show, they're
- 21:28Speaker 2: just like.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Here you go.
- 21:30Speaker 4: You know, it brings up the topic of the models
- 21:32Speaker 4: that didn't get asked back this year, like the professionals
- 21:36Speaker 4: that are models.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Yeah, like the iconic Victoria's Secret models.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Yeah, because they wanted to make room for influencers.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:44Speaker 3: What's your take on that?
- 21:46Speaker 2: Listen, I love seeing influencers that crush it in spaces
- 21:52Speaker 2: like the Victoria's Secret. Like, I think it's so cool
- 21:54Speaker 2: that someone can go on and be able to do
- 21:57Speaker 2: that because the confidence, the, just the getting prepped for
- 22:02Speaker 2: that to, to feel confident enough to do that is
- 22:05Speaker 2: a lot. I want to watch Victoria's secret fashion show
- 22:10Speaker 2: and see people that are, I don't want to feel like,
- 22:14Speaker 2: I don't want to feel like it's attainable. No, I
- 22:19Speaker 2: want to be like, these are literal angels up there.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Like these tall, like they're, they're, they're just built different.
- 22:27Speaker 2: You know, that's why they're in this industry because it's
- 22:29Speaker 2: a very specific, it's always been a very specific industry.
- 22:32Speaker 2: And I like it that way. Like I liked watching
- 22:34Speaker 2: it being like, this is not real. It's almost like
- 22:36Speaker 2: fantasy land.
- 22:38Speaker 4: I thought they did a good job of like making
- 22:41Speaker 4: it feel like not that, but also still very like.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Dreamy and aspirational.
- 22:48Speaker 2: I think this year they, they really did a good
- 22:50Speaker 2: job with it, but I'm just saying like the whole argument, I.
- 22:53Speaker 4: But also a lot of these influencers are, seven feet
- 22:56Speaker 4: tall stick model.
- 22:58Speaker 3: It's not like a.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Lot of influencers are not, they're like also fantasy looking.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 23:03Speaker 4: But you know, I do think the whole, the whole
- 23:07Speaker 4: landscape of the entertainment industry is shifting. Like they don't
- 23:12Speaker 4: use journalists anymore. They use influencers to do red carpets
- 23:16Speaker 4: because they want the exposure. even acting, they are not
- 23:19Speaker 4: choosing some people who are like actors. They're choosing influencers
- 23:23Speaker 4: to put in because they want to promote their movie more.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Right.
- 23:25Speaker 4: You know, now it's happening in modeling. They're not using
- 23:28Speaker 4: actual models. They're bringing in influencers because they want the eyeballs.
- 23:31Speaker 4: And it's just the way the world is going.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Do you know what I mean? Like you have to have, uh, uh, uh,
- 23:39Speaker 3: what's the word I'm looking for? Internet footprint.
- 23:44Speaker 1: A following?
- 23:44Speaker 3: No, it's not following.
- 23:45Speaker 4: But like you have to have like a social footprint
- 23:49Speaker 4: in order to like, I don't know.
- 23:53Speaker 2: But I feel like there are people who are traditional
- 23:55Speaker 2: runway models who have social media presence. And I think
- 23:59Speaker 2: the whole what started this was that I don't know.
- 24:02Speaker 2: How do you pronounce Romy's last name?
- 24:03Speaker 3: No idea.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Streed?
- 24:06Speaker 3: Strigid?
- 24:07Speaker 2: Streed maybe?
- 24:07Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 24:08Speaker 2: I don't know. Romy, she's an iconic Victoria's Secret fashion model.
- 24:13Speaker 2: And she's always been in the show. And she didn't
- 24:16Speaker 2: make it this year. And I think a lot of
- 24:17Speaker 2: people are like, wait, what? We're replacing. It's one thing
- 24:20Speaker 2: to add influencers onto the iconic models who made the
- 24:25Speaker 2: show famous. But I think them not making it and
- 24:29Speaker 2: influencers making it was just such a shock, you know,
- 24:32Speaker 2: which I know. I feel like I could.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Be a Victoria's Secret fashion model.
- 24:36Speaker 2: And I love that.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Why can't I do it?
- 24:37Speaker 2: I love that.
- 24:38Speaker 3: I did Miami Swim Week.
- 24:39Speaker 1: If not you.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Who? If not there.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Where?
- 24:45Speaker 1: I have her name as being pronounced Romay Stride.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Okay, Romay Stride.
- 24:49Speaker 1: That's what it says here. Romay Stride.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Romay Stride.
- 24:52Speaker 1: She's Dutch. And also, just so you know, the Victoria's
- 24:55Speaker 1: Secret Fashion Show last aired in 2018 and returned in 2024.
- 25:00Speaker 1: So six years.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Six years. Okay. Yeah. Close to eight. Yeah.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Anyways, I love I love I'm going to go. I'm
- 25:07Speaker 2: actually going to watch it tonight. Like, I still want
- 25:09Speaker 2: to watch it.
- 25:10Speaker 3: I'm telling you, it was so well done. Like, yeah,
- 25:14Speaker 3: big high quality.
- 25:15Speaker 4: And I was talking to Mark about it this morning
- 25:17Speaker 4: because I was like, normally it's on a network and
- 25:20Speaker 4: it was on YouTube this year.
- 25:21Speaker 3: So I was like, who pays for that? He said YouTube.
- 25:23Speaker 4: And I was like, they crushed it. Like, it just
- 25:27Speaker 4: looked really beautiful online. It wasn't too long. It was
- 25:32Speaker 4: the right amount of time. The music that they chose
- 25:35Speaker 4: was spot on. They played Nicole Kidman and she was sitting.
- 25:38Speaker 3: In the front row. It was all just very well done. Yeah.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I'm excited. You made me feel excited to watch it
- 25:45Speaker 2: because all I'm seeing is just criticism, complaining. No.
- 25:51Speaker 4: And like I said, there's a lot of different body
- 25:53Speaker 4: types on the runway that I was like, I could
- 25:56Speaker 4: freaking do that. I know how to walk. I can
- 25:58Speaker 4: strut my stuff. That's on my vision board to be
- 26:01Speaker 4: a Victoria's Secret fashion show model.
- 26:03Speaker 2: I love that. What would you want to wear?
- 26:05Speaker 3: Would you want to wear wings?
- 26:06Speaker 1: I don't want to be.
- 26:07Speaker 3: There's like this one section. So like there's like this
- 26:11Speaker 3: one section where it was like the pink section, you know,
- 26:14Speaker 3: which is like the.
- 26:14Speaker 4: More like relaxed outfits. And they were like not cute.
- 26:18Speaker 4: I was like, I'd be so bummed if I were
- 26:20Speaker 4: a model. And I worked so hard to be in
- 26:21Speaker 4: this fashion show. And I was in the pink section.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I feel like the people who are new get the
- 26:28Speaker 2: pink section, so you might.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it was giving rookies.
- 26:31Speaker 4: It was giving rookies, which is probably where I would
- 26:33Speaker 4: have to be.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Yeah, pay my dues.
- 26:35Speaker 2: No, the lighting and everything looks gourd. I'm going to
- 26:38Speaker 2: watch it.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I would watch it. I was very thoroughly entertained.
- 26:41Speaker 3: I was clapping at the end. They played Spice Girls' song,
- 26:43Speaker 3: and Robbie's like, what are you doing?
- 26:45Speaker 2: You know what I think, though? I think there's a
- 26:47Speaker 2: negativity around influencers because the thing with influencers is that
- 26:52Speaker 2: people start watching them because they like their content. And
- 26:54Speaker 2: then when they get to a certain point where they're
- 26:56Speaker 2: getting opportunities like this, it almost makes people turn to
- 26:59Speaker 2: jealousy and like how you didn't earn this. Like, why
- 27:02Speaker 2: are you getting to do this? Right? Yeah. And so...
- 27:05Speaker 2: I think a lot of the negativity is actually not
- 27:08Speaker 2: so much that they don't think they're worthy of being
- 27:10Speaker 2: a model, but that they're almost jealous that like, oh,
- 27:12Speaker 2: if maybe I had just picked up my camera and
- 27:15Speaker 2: started filming myself like these people did, because the whole
- 27:18Speaker 2: argument is like, it's so easy. But it's like if
- 27:20Speaker 2: it's if everyone has an opportunity to become an influencer.
- 27:23Speaker 3: That's the thing now is like everybody can do it.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Anybody can do it.
- 27:27Speaker 2: But it's easier just like criticize people who did do
- 27:30Speaker 2: it and got to a certain point and then. people
- 27:33Speaker 2: turn on them because of their insecurities or jealousy or whatever.
- 27:36Speaker 2: So I think a lot of that negativity is more
- 27:38Speaker 2: geared towards that and not so much like that they
- 27:41Speaker 2: don't think they're beautiful, that it's just they're like, well,
- 27:45Speaker 2: these were models who've been trying to model their whole
- 27:47Speaker 2: life and you took their position. Right. But it also
- 27:51Speaker 2: goes back to that thing of like, if Victoria's Secret
- 27:56Speaker 2: came to you and said, would you want to be,
- 27:58Speaker 2: you're not going to be like, No, no, please give.
- 28:00Speaker 3: It to the model.
- 28:02Speaker 1: No.
- 28:02Speaker 3: If they came to me, I'd be like, sign me up.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Put me in, coach.
- 28:06Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 28:08Speaker 4: That string thong? Right up my button around the corner.
- 28:11Speaker 4: You got it.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:14Speaker 1: No.
- 28:14Speaker 2: You're right. I think it's just kind of the evolution
- 28:17Speaker 2: of the industry.
- 28:19Speaker 3: Yeah. And society.
- 28:22Speaker 2: And society.
- 28:23Speaker 3: So catch me in 2027. Victoria's Secret. Call you later.
- 28:31Speaker 4: I went to a lunch this weekend that our friend
- 28:36Speaker 4: Brad Goreski hosted.
- 28:37Speaker 3: I haven't seen Brad in so long. I know.
- 28:39Speaker 4: I haven't seen him in so long either. And it
- 28:43Speaker 4: was so lovely. And Lisa Rinna was there. And I
- 28:47Speaker 4: am obsessed with her.
- 28:48Speaker 3: She is so fun. She is so funny.
- 28:52Speaker 4: And actually, I meant to ask Brad if so, he
- 28:54Speaker 4: kind of it was like, you know, like when you
- 28:56Speaker 4: go to a luncheon and you're like a square table
- 28:59Speaker 4: or like a rectangle, usually like you talk to the
- 29:01Speaker 4: person next to you or across from you, but you
- 29:03Speaker 4: don't really engage in like full table conversations much.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it's hard.
- 29:08Speaker 3: It's hard.
- 29:09Speaker 4: We had full table conversations like the whole time. And
- 29:12Speaker 4: I feel like it was because Lisa was like in
- 29:14Speaker 4: the middle.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Wow.
- 29:15Speaker 4: And she can really command and like bridge the gap.
- 29:19Speaker 3: And did you ask her about traitors? I asked her
- 29:22Speaker 3: so much about traitors.
- 29:23Speaker 2: What'd you say?
- 29:23Speaker 4: Um, just like, I mean, nothing like that's like earth shattering.
- 29:28Speaker 4: Cause honestly I was like thinking back on it and
- 29:30Speaker 4: I was like, I don't remember much from that season.
- 29:33Speaker 3: These, these reality shows I'm so invested.
- 29:35Speaker 4: And then the minute it's over, it's like out of
- 29:37Speaker 4: my brain. Like I was like, who won that? Oh yeah.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Rob. Yeah.
- 29:39Speaker 3: Yeah the whole Maura Rob thing yeah yeah um.
- 29:42Speaker 4: And then I even forgot Lisa was a traitor spoiler
- 29:44Speaker 4: alert but she was just talking about how like intense
- 29:47Speaker 4: it is and there you don't realize like when you
- 29:51Speaker 4: know everybody when they're watching things it's so easy but
- 29:53Speaker 4: like you're in it you're just constantly like on edge
- 29:56Speaker 4: and like.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Yeah yeah easy to watch from the couch Um, but
- 30:00Speaker 2: what is so funny, what happened to me earlier that
- 30:03Speaker 2: day is I had a doctor's appointment.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Should we take a break?
- 30:07Speaker 1: We're okay.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Okay. So I had a.
- 30:09Speaker 4: Doctor's appointment first time with this doctor. I was just
- 30:12Speaker 4: like my yearly physical. Cause I've been doing blood work
- 30:14Speaker 4: all like I'm getting my blood drawn. I feel like
- 30:18Speaker 4: constantly these days, but I haven't done like a proper physical.
- 30:21Speaker 4: So I was like, let me just like get a physical.
- 30:23Speaker 4: This is my first time with this doctor. I've never
- 30:25Speaker 4: gone to her before. So I'm going to pull into
- 30:28Speaker 4: the parking garage.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Okay.
- 30:31Speaker 4: And there's this old lady wanting to cross the street
- 30:33Speaker 4: with like, I think a caretaker or nurse or something.
- 30:36Speaker 4: And they were still so far. I should have just
- 30:39Speaker 4: gone into the parking structure. But I was like, I'm
- 30:41Speaker 4: not in a rush. Let me just like wave my
- 30:42Speaker 4: hand and let the old lady cross the street. The
- 30:45Speaker 4: old lady was moving at the pace of a snail.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Like it was crazy slow to the point where like
- 30:51Speaker 4: now there's four cars behind me. I'm in the street.
- 30:55Speaker 4: Four cars behind me. I'm sure more were piling in.
- 30:59Speaker 4: But I've committed now, right? And I also don't want
- 31:01Speaker 4: to run her over.
- 31:02Speaker 2: You can't run her over. I can't run her over.
- 31:04Speaker 4: This car, that's two cars behind me, goes out around
- 31:09Speaker 4: us and goes into the parking structure.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Okay?
- 31:12Speaker 3: So I'm pissed.
- 31:13Speaker 2: How'd it go in?
- 31:13Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 31:14Speaker 2: If she was crossing the street.
- 31:15Speaker 3: So she was... It's hard to explain. She was crossing
- 31:18Speaker 3: the street. Okay? So she was... Still, like, on the
- 31:23Speaker 3: right side of my car. She hadn't even crossed the middle.
- 31:26Speaker 3: So he went around the middle and then into the
- 31:28Speaker 3: parking structure.
- 31:29Speaker 2: She.
- 31:29Speaker 3: It was a she. So I'm pissed at this woman, okay?
- 31:33Speaker 4: But then old lady crosses the street. I'm the next
- 31:35Speaker 4: one to go into the parking structure. So I'm following
- 31:37Speaker 4: her up a couple things, up the second one. She's
- 31:40Speaker 4: now waiting for somebody to pull out of their parking spot.
- 31:42Speaker 4: So I was like, you know what I'm going to do?
- 31:44Speaker 4: This bitch, I'm going to go around her like she
- 31:46Speaker 4: went around me. So I go around her in the
- 31:48Speaker 4: parking structure, okay?
- 31:51Speaker 3: So pissed. Can't even wait for an old lady. Who is,
- 31:54Speaker 3: who are you?
- 31:55Speaker 4: Pull into my parking spot. Clearly she didn't go to
- 31:58Speaker 4: that spot because then she comes up behind me. She
- 32:00Speaker 4: parks like four spots next to me. I never really
- 32:04Speaker 4: saw her, but she had like brown long hair.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Going to my doctor's appointment. Going to the doctor's office.
- 32:11Speaker 3: What does my doctor look like? Long brown hair.
- 32:15Speaker 2: No. Yeah. Y'all were road raging together?
- 32:19Speaker 4: I think so.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Was it tense?
- 32:22Speaker 4: I don't know. No, she was very kind to me.
- 32:27Speaker 4: But the problem is the whole time I'm talking to her,
- 32:29Speaker 4: I was like panicking that she was the one that
- 32:32Speaker 4: I just like unleashed my road rage on. And then
- 32:35Speaker 4: I was going through all like the different things of like,
- 32:37Speaker 4: surely my doctor has a parking spot. Like she's not
- 32:40Speaker 4: searching the parking garage for a spot, right?
- 32:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be weird.
- 32:45Speaker 3: So I'm distracted in my.
- 32:47Speaker 4: Doctor's appointment because I'm just going through all the different
- 32:49Speaker 4: scenarios in my head.
- 32:50Speaker 2: You could have just been like, did you just almost
- 32:53Speaker 2: run over an old lady outside?
- 32:56Speaker 3: I couldn't.
- 32:56Speaker 2: I couldn't.
- 32:57Speaker 1: I couldn't.
- 32:58Speaker 3: It was so stressful.
- 32:59Speaker 4: So that was like my reminder to myself to just
- 33:03Speaker 4: like chill out. Don't get mad at people in the
- 33:06Speaker 4: car because you never know.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Be a little more aggressive. Like go before the old
- 33:09Speaker 2: lady starts crossing the road.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Be a little bit more aggressive.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:12Speaker 3: But like you never know that could be your doctor.
- 33:14Speaker 3: That you just like road raged on.
- 33:15Speaker 2: But I think she road raged on you first, so. Arguable.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Oh.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 33:22Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean, she should not have like.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I would put it on her.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:26Speaker 3: But I didn't need to like.
- 33:27Speaker 1: When you're in line and you cut in front of
- 33:28Speaker 1: the people that are in the same line to get
- 33:30Speaker 1: in front of them, I think that's a bad move.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Yes.
- 33:33Speaker 1: You're all going in the same place.
- 33:34Speaker 4: However, I could have just let that slide. I didn't
- 33:36Speaker 4: need to like go around her once I got in there.
- 33:38Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 33:39Speaker 3: Like, I feel like I really like.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Yeah. This brings up, actually, when I was waiting in
- 33:43Speaker 2: line to go to the concert at the Hollywood Bowl,
- 33:47Speaker 2: there was a long line just to scan your ticket.
- 33:49Speaker 2: And so people were walking past it and then realizing, like, oh,
- 33:52Speaker 2: this is the line. So then they'd have to come back,
- 33:54Speaker 2: you know? Which is what I did. I go and
- 33:56Speaker 2: get in the back of the line. These... Two girls
- 34:01Speaker 2: come and just kind of try to merge in. And
- 34:04Speaker 2: I was like, I just stared them down to where
- 34:07Speaker 2: if they turned and looked at me, I'm like, I see.
- 34:10Speaker 2: I see what you've done. And then this wife and
- 34:12Speaker 2: husband do the same thing. And I'm like, no grown
- 34:16Speaker 2: man is stepping in front of me right now. These
- 34:18Speaker 2: two girls got away with it. This man is not.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Because he was like, we'll just slip in here. Like
- 34:23Speaker 2: I heard him say that. So they tried to go
- 34:25Speaker 2: in front of me and I stepped right in front
- 34:27Speaker 2: of them. You did? Yeah.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Good for you.
- 34:29Speaker 2: I didn't say anything, but I certainly didn't let them.
- 34:32Speaker 3: You showed them.
- 34:33Speaker 2: Sometimes you don't need to use your words. Yeah.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Actions speak louder.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Respectfully.
- 34:38Speaker 2: It was like, I wish I was a bold person
- 34:41Speaker 2: to be like, oh, like the lines back, you know,
- 34:43Speaker 2: I know it's confusing, but back there.
- 34:46Speaker 1: See this line?
- 34:47Speaker 3: Everybody's waiting.
- 34:49Speaker 2: It's one of my biggest pet peeves, cutting.
- 34:51Speaker 4: Cutters.
- 34:51Speaker 3: I know me too.
- 34:54Speaker 1: By the way, I heard that Disneyland is going to
- 34:55Speaker 1: crack down on that. You know how people are always
- 34:58Speaker 1: going through the line here in life for Indiana Jones.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me. My family's up there.
- 35:02Speaker 1: My family's up there. My family's up there. Disneyland wants
- 35:05Speaker 1: to crack down on that.
- 35:07Speaker 3: As they should.
- 35:07Speaker 4: I saw one like giant group of teenagers doing that
- 35:10Speaker 4: one day. And I'm like, their family's not up there.
- 35:12Speaker 3: They're just getting to the front and going on the ride.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I think that's the plan.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Dicks. I'm so trusting. I'm always like, oh, yeah. Got
- 35:19Speaker 2: to go get your family. I don't know.
- 35:22Speaker 1: I'm always torn. I'm always annoyed, but okay, fine. Well,
- 35:26Speaker 1: they don't want to do it anymore.
- 35:28Speaker 2: And I stand with them. I stand with them on that.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Amen.
- 35:31Speaker 3: I do too. Preach, brother.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Did you and Robbie come up with the Halloween costume?
- 35:37Speaker 3: I think we're going to go. Yes, I do. I
- 35:39Speaker 3: think we're going to. Yes, I do. Okay.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Are you going to announce it?
- 35:43Speaker 3: No, you're going to wait and see.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Great. Can't wait.
- 35:47Speaker 2: We're still trying to decide if we're going to do it. Yeah. Yeah.
- 35:51Speaker 4: We have no plans, so... Well, I'm going to... We're
- 35:54Speaker 4: all dressed up, nowhere to go.
- 35:56Speaker 2: I'm going out of town and meeting up with the
- 35:59Speaker 2: Bachelor girls from season 19 this week, and we have
- 36:03Speaker 2: costume ideas. So, like, I have costumes that I'm doing
- 36:06Speaker 2: for Halloween, but I don't have one with Hayley.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Oh, you're leaving this weekend? Yeah, and next weekend. And
- 36:10Speaker 3: next weekend.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:11Speaker 3: She's just a busy gal.
- 36:13Speaker 2: I'm out of here. I'm out of this heat.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Are you going to bring the artist away with you
- 36:17Speaker 3: when you go?
- 36:18Speaker 2: I'm sure I will.
- 36:20Speaker 3: You're not. I'm behind too.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Nobody told me.
- 36:24Speaker 3: That chapter four was a social media detox.
- 36:29Speaker 1: You should do that.
- 36:30Speaker 2: That's an important one. Who's going to do that? What
- 36:34Speaker 2: do you mean?
- 36:35Speaker 1: Who's going to do any of this stuff? Who's going
- 36:36Speaker 1: to go on 10 solo dates? Who's going to write
- 36:39Speaker 1: a journal every morning for 10? Okay, so then do
- 36:41Speaker 1: the social media thing.
- 36:43Speaker 3: I'm still stuck on chapter three.
- 36:45Speaker 2: So you skipped ahead.
- 36:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I was like looking at it. I was like, oh,
- 36:49Speaker 3: next week looks tough on Halloween. Social media detox. No, thanks.
- 36:53Speaker 2: That's a tough one. You did not schedule this out, right?
- 36:56Speaker 3: No, I did not. So it's tough, tough in these streets.
- 37:02Speaker 3: You know what I did, though, this weekend?
- 37:04Speaker 2: I really want to hear about it after the break.
- 37:24Speaker 3: We're back. Do you know I'm obsessed with the farmer's
- 37:27Speaker 3: market now?
- 37:28Speaker 2: I didn't know. When did that happen?
- 37:31Speaker 1: She stole garlic a few weeks ago.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Yeah. You didn't know I was obsessed with the farmer's market?
- 37:35Speaker 3: I've been going for like a month now. Every Sunday.
- 37:38Speaker 2: I didn't know it was an obsession. I thought you,
- 37:40Speaker 2: I mean, going to the farmer's market feels very normal
- 37:42Speaker 2: because you used to do that in Studio City all
- 37:44Speaker 2: the time.
- 37:44Speaker 3: I used to do it in Studio City all the time,
- 37:45Speaker 3: but have I done it since I left Studio City? No.
- 37:48Speaker 3: I haven't found my groove anywhere else.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 37:50Speaker 3: I have found my groove at this new farmer's market.
- 37:52Speaker 2: You found your groove?
- 37:53Speaker 4: I found my groove. And on Sunday, I walked by
- 37:56Speaker 4: this man and I love Robbie for this because he
- 37:59Speaker 4: was like, what is this? I never would have stopped
- 38:01Speaker 4: at this guy's thing because it was jujubes.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 38:05Speaker 3: I didn't even know that was a fruit. I've never
- 38:06Speaker 3: even heard of a jujube.
- 38:08Speaker 4: And he's like, they're really good. They have really good benefits.
- 38:14Speaker 4: They're like high in magnesium. They help you like sleep better.
- 38:17Speaker 4: They help you poop better. Like these are like a
- 38:19Speaker 4: magic little fruit. I took a bite of one.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Delicious.
- 38:24Speaker 2: What would you compare it to?
- 38:26Speaker 3: Like an apple and a date. Okay. Delicious.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:29Speaker 3: So I bought like 10.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:31Speaker 3: I ate four yesterday. I already ate three today.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Are you supposed to do that many? Is that like
- 38:36Speaker 2: an overload?
- 38:37Speaker 3: They're small.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Okay.
- 38:38Speaker 3: They're small. Jujubes.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Okay.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Small. Okay.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Anyways, it was just like a lesson in life of like,
- 38:43Speaker 4: you know, I'm 39 years old. I've never tried a
- 38:45Speaker 4: jujube in my life and I love it so much.
- 38:47Speaker 4: So it's like, be a little more experimental with things,
- 38:50Speaker 4: you know? Get crazy.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Get crazy with it. People need to go crazy and try... fruit. Yes.
- 38:56Speaker 3: Like go to your local farmer's market and discover new things.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Don't just go to your same old farmer, you know, explore.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Get out there. Get out there.
- 39:08Speaker 3: See the world.
- 39:09Speaker 2: You know, yesterday we had our friends over and I
- 39:13Speaker 2: saw that and Haley made brunch. And then we literally
- 39:16Speaker 2: sat outside and Haley and our friend Maricela sat on
- 39:21Speaker 2: the curb and then Sherry and I threw the football,
- 39:24Speaker 2: just like, just toss. And it was so fun. I
- 39:28Speaker 2: was like, the kids need to get off their phones
- 39:30Speaker 2: and come throw a ball. Like throwing a ball is
- 39:33Speaker 2: just so relaxing and fun. I can't say I ever.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Threw a ball.
- 39:38Speaker 2: It's so fun.
- 39:39Speaker 3: I've never thrown a ball.
- 39:41Speaker 2: It's so like, you're just focused on throwing and catching,
- 39:45Speaker 2: you know, it's simple.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Yeah, uh-huh.
- 39:47Speaker 2: And then we went and saw You Can See Everything,
- 39:51Speaker 2: the new Elizabeth Holmes documentary.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Oh, you have to go to the movies to see that?
- 39:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's in theaters.
- 39:55Speaker 3: What?
- 39:57Speaker 2: You need to go.
- 39:58Speaker 3: You can't see it at home?
- 39:59Speaker 2: Not yet.
- 39:59Speaker 3: Are you sure? Robbie kept saying he wanted to watch
- 40:02Speaker 3: it this weekend.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Did he want to go? I don't think you can
- 40:05Speaker 2: watch it at home.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Well, that's good to know. I'm going to tell him.
- 40:08Speaker 2: It was amazing. It's so well done. And it's so...
- 40:12Speaker 2: creatively done oh wow because no one spoiled it yet
- 40:16Speaker 2: so i'm not gonna spoil i'm not gonna be the
- 40:18Speaker 2: one but it's just really creative how they told the
- 40:22Speaker 2: story and how you leave feeling about everybody it's really interesting.
- 40:27Speaker 4: Okay that could be on my list because you know
- 40:29Speaker 4: we started this weekend what the new season of love
- 40:32Speaker 4: is blind is it us boston yeah oh Excellent television.
- 40:38Speaker 2: It is. Did it just come out?
- 40:39Speaker 3: Yes. Brand spanking new.
- 40:41Speaker 2: It's good TV?
- 40:42Speaker 3: Good TV.
- 40:44Speaker 2: I'm sorry, but the men on these shows have just
- 40:47Speaker 2: turned me off from having any interest in watching.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Oh, dang. Well, that's unfortunate for me because I'm really
- 40:54Speaker 3: into it.
- 40:54Speaker 2: It's good?
- 40:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:56Speaker 2: I'll give it a shot.
- 40:57Speaker 3: It's very good. And I would like to pour one out.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Okay.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Okay.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Everybody raise their water.
- 41:04Speaker 2: I don't have a glass.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Please don't actually pour anything in here.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Can I have this?
- 41:07Speaker 3: I'm going to pour one out for our scrubber, Jenna.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 41:12Speaker 3: She was sent home this week on survival.
- 41:13Speaker 1: I could have left the room. Why did you not
- 41:15Speaker 1: warn me?
- 41:16Speaker 3: Sorry, Mark. How did it happen?
- 41:21Speaker 2: Do you want to talk about it? You know.
- 41:27Speaker 4: I know survivors so well now that I know when
- 41:30Speaker 4: they throw out a name before tribal, it's usually not
- 41:33Speaker 4: going to be that person.
- 41:35Speaker 2: You know?
- 41:36Speaker 4: And so the way they did this, like tribe swap
- 41:40Speaker 4: and I knew it was looking bad for her when
- 41:42Speaker 4: they did the tribe swap.
- 41:43Speaker 3: So I was like, shoot.
- 41:45Speaker 4: And it was really going to be between her and
- 41:46Speaker 4: this other girl. And then they said the other girl's
- 41:48Speaker 4: name before tribal. So I was like, it's going to
- 41:50Speaker 4: be Jenna. I like, I knew it was going to
- 41:52Speaker 4: be Jenna. And it was in fact, Jenna gone way
- 41:55Speaker 4: too soon.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Way too soon. She almost went home the first episode.
- 41:59Speaker 2: So she hung around.
- 42:01Speaker 3: She hung around, but not long enough.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:03Speaker 4: It's still early days. So that was my pick for
- 42:06Speaker 4: the whole season. So I'm screwed now.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Okay. There's this show we watched. I think it's called....
- 42:14Speaker 2: Mark? Just like... Come up with it, Mark.
- 42:18Speaker 3: It's like a show where it's, I think it was
- 42:20Speaker 3: on Netflix or maybe it was on Hulu.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I'd be down in the trenches where no one goes because.
- 42:25Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 42:27Speaker 4: They, they put people on like the, in like an
- 42:30Speaker 4: Island and they're like sequestered and then they have extracted.
- 42:34Speaker 3: It's called extracted.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Glad I could help.
- 42:39Speaker 3: They have like two family members so.
- 42:40Speaker 4: Like okay i was on the island and like you
- 42:43Speaker 4: and robbie would be watching in the control room in
- 42:45Speaker 4: the control room pulling you whenever you like wanted and
- 42:48Speaker 4: then some people are like begging their families to like
- 42:51Speaker 4: pull them and the families like don't pull them they're
- 42:53Speaker 4: like you've got more in you you got more than one.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Family like pulled before they the person wanted to leave.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Yeah it looks miserable for everyone though like even the
- 43:01Speaker 2: people in the control room are like not sleeping or
- 43:04Speaker 2: they're having.
- 43:04Speaker 4: To watch them all the time make sure they're good
- 43:07Speaker 4: I wouldn't extract you.
- 43:09Speaker 3: I would never let you be in the control room.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Who would you choose in the control room?
- 43:15Speaker 4: Oh, that's a good question. Definitely Robbie. And probably one
- 43:20Speaker 4: of the kids. I think they would like see the
- 43:24Speaker 4: pain in my eyes and be like, because I feel
- 43:26Speaker 4: like Robbie would be tough too. Like he'd be like, no, no,
- 43:28Speaker 4: we got to leave her.
- 43:29Speaker 2: I would want someone who wasn't going to pull me easily.
- 43:33Speaker 3: I'd pull you.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Quickly yeah you and hayley i wouldn't even stand it
- 43:37Speaker 2: you get like a blister i'd be like ow and

- 44:07Speaker 2: Okay, now put those words together. And what's that word?
- 44:12Speaker 2: The two words you just spelled.
- 44:13Speaker 3: Us, men.
- 44:14Speaker 2: No, the other way. Men, us. No.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Men, us.
- 44:21Speaker 2: No.
- 44:21Speaker 3: Yes. M-E-N-U-S.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Men, us.
- 44:30Speaker 1: No.
- 44:34Speaker 2: The word... That you just spelled out.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Men and us.
- 44:41Speaker 2: What's that word?
- 44:43Speaker 3: That's not a word.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Spell it.
- 44:46Speaker 3: M-E-N-U-S.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:50Speaker 1: You've said this word thousands of times in your life.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Just what is those words together?

- 45:01Speaker 2: Evie?
- 45:03Speaker 3: She doesn't know either. Just tell me.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe if she spells it, it'll be more familiar.
- 45:12Speaker 2: What's that word?
- 45:13Speaker 3: Menace?
- 45:16Speaker 2: What is it? Menus. Menus. I'm not writing it like this.
- 45:38Speaker 1: I think, yeah.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Well, thank you. It always works great.
- 45:43Speaker 1: That was a.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Terrible way to end the show.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Don't worry. We'll be back with Rachel.
- 45:49Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 45:50Speaker 4: Because we have Rachel, we don't have time.
- 45:52Speaker 3: And I want to do the 10 things. Come on, Mark, please.
- 45:55Speaker 3: We're doing it.
- 45:55Speaker 2: We're not going to do the 10 things. Oh, you
- 45:57Speaker 2: want to add it to this episode?
- 45:58Speaker 1: Yeah, come on.
- 46:00Speaker 2: All right, we're going to end this episode with 10 things.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Wait, hold on. It panned.
- 46:05Speaker 1: It's the don't say the same thing challenge.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Why do you need a pen for this?
- 46:08Speaker 3: I think I write it down.
- 46:09Speaker 2: No, no. There's no way. It goes way too fast.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Real fast. I'm going to give you a category. Three, two, one.
- 46:15Speaker 1: You have to say something in that category. And that
- 46:17Speaker 1: is something we need to stress this time. Something in
- 46:19Speaker 1: the category. Otherwise, it doesn't count.
- 46:22Speaker 3: Mark, that's on you.
- 46:23Speaker 1: What do you mean that's on me?
- 46:24Speaker 3: Well, you have to regulate.
- 46:25Speaker 1: I will regulate.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 46:27Speaker 1: And you have to not say the same thing.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:29Speaker 1: And if you do say the same thing, the game
- 46:31Speaker 1: is over because we have yet to get through 10 cleanly.
- 46:34Speaker 1: We've gotten through 10 with some questions. We haven't gotten
- 46:36Speaker 1: through 10 cleanly. Here we go. Everybody ready?
- 46:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Ocean animal. Three, two, one.

- 46:52Speaker 3: What's the one that looks like the porcupine in the water? Zirgin.
- 46:57Speaker 2: A blowfish?
- 47:00Speaker 3: Come on, Mark.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Porcupine?
- 47:02Speaker 3: I meant porcupine of the sea. That's a niche.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Animal on land.
- 47:07Speaker 3: Porcupine of the sea. Come on, Mark. One more time.
- 47:12Speaker 1: All right, fine. We'll start again.
- 47:14Speaker 3: Okay.
- 47:15Speaker 2: That was shocking.
- 47:19Speaker 3: Everybody shh.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Here we go.

- 48:01Speaker 3: Isn't that what you have in your bathroom? Yeah, sure.
- 48:04Speaker 1: School subject. Three, two, one.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Science.
- 48:09Speaker 1: I was going to say English. The ninth one.
- 48:12Speaker 2: How many?
- 48:13Speaker 1: That was nine out of ten. Pretty good.
- 48:15Speaker 3: That was the last one.
- 48:17Speaker 2: I blame Porcupine. Threw us all.
- 48:22Speaker 3: Well, you got me feeling all dumb with menus.
- 48:27Speaker 2: It's like a thing. No one gets it, by the way.
- 48:31Speaker 2: I watched the whole video, and until I went to
- 48:34Speaker 2: the comments, still didn't know what they were saying. Just
- 48:37Speaker 2: so you know. Got me feeling all dumb with menus. Well,
- 48:44Speaker 2: you got me feeling all dumb.
- 48:47Speaker 3: I'm going to do that when I get home to Robbie.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's good. Do it before he listens to the podcast.
- 48:51Speaker 2: I know he's jumping at the bit.
- 48:54Speaker 3: I'll do it as soon as I get home. He'll
- 48:55Speaker 3: probably get it, though. He's so smart.
- 48:57Speaker 2: No, I think it's challenging.
- 48:59Speaker 3: All right.
- 48:59Speaker 2: That's all for now. But we will be back Thursday
- 49:01Speaker 2: with an episode with Rachel Kirkconnell. So come back for that. Yep.
- 49:07Speaker 2: And I hope you have a wonderful day and a
- 49:09Speaker 2: wonderful week. And we love you so much. Bye. Bye.
- 49:11Speaker 1: Bye.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Bye. Bye.
