Speaker 6: Good morning, Dave, thank you so much for having me.
• 2:32
Speaker 6: I'm really excited to be here and in these wonderful
• 2:35
  Speaker 6: new studios.
• 2:36
  Speaker 7: It's beautiful.
• 2:37
Speaker 4: And there's something someone who would know something about studios
• 2:40
Speaker 4: because we watched you for for how long were you
• 2:42
  Speaker 4: at w.
• 2:43
Speaker 7: Dowek for about three and a half years?
• 2:45
Speaker 4: Three and a half years? And you also would know
• 2:47
Speaker 4: something about radio because you studied at Penn were you
• 2:51
Speaker 4: Penn State? At Penn State? Study at Penn State? And
• 2:54
Speaker 4: the guy that you happen to share a home with.
• 2:57
Speaker 4: Is a vetteritan of ours here?
• 2:59
  Speaker 8: Right?
• 2:59
  Speaker 5: Yes, yep.
• 3:00
Speaker 6: My husband Jake was a reporter here for about four
• 3:03
Speaker 6: and a half years as well, So I'm very familiar
• 3:05
Speaker 6: with these studios and everybody here. And you guys are
• 3:07
Speaker 6: great and do such good work and yeah, just really
• 3:10
Speaker 6: excited to be here.
• 3:10
Speaker 4: You don't have to suck up to us. We gave
• 3:12
Speaker 4: you the time already. Okay, you're good, You're good. But
• 3:15
Speaker 4: but Aaron is now with the Charlestonary Alliance. How long
• 3:17
Speaker 4: have you been with the Alliance?
• 3:18
Speaker 6: I've been there for it was August of last year,
• 3:20
Speaker 6: so about a year and three months now. It's been
• 3:23
  Speaker 6: it's been fun.
• 3:23
Speaker 4: And for those who don't know what exactly is the role,
• 3:27
Speaker 4: what's the mission statement if you will, of the Charlestonnary Alliance.
• 3:30
Speaker 6: Sure, so we are the community and economic development organization
• 3:34
Speaker 6: and we're also serve as the regional Chamber of Commerce.
• 3:37
Speaker 6: So we just try to really help the business community
• 3:40
Speaker 6: out with jobs, business retention and expansion and and all
• 3:44
Speaker 6: those good kind of things.
• 3:46
Speaker 4: What's the what's an average day for you?
• 3:49
Speaker 7: Look like, Oh, it's it's differ every day.
• 3:52
Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, we're we're always just trying to leverage
• 3:55
Speaker 6: new ideas and implement certain things and doing all all
• 4:00
Speaker 6: kinds of different events, whether it's business after hours. We
• 4:02
Speaker 6: have an Elevations coming up. We have a lot of
• 4:04
Speaker 6: different stuff that we're we have in the works, so
• 4:08
Speaker 6: every day's really different.
• 4:09
Speaker 4: Now what exactly is Elevations. I saw some information about that.
• 4:12
Speaker 4: I get an email about that. What exactly is Elevation?
• 4:14
Speaker 6: Yes, So Elevations is our women's professional network luncheon. We
• 4:19
Speaker 6: try to host them quarterly. This year was a little
• 4:22
Speaker 6: different because we've been without a CEO for a year,
• 4:26
Speaker 6: so it's been it's been a little difficult to you know,
• 4:30
Speaker 6: get the flow of every day's kind of picking up
• 4:32
Speaker 6: slack where they can. But the Elevations luncheon is where,
• 4:36
Speaker 6: you know, we try to inspire women and just uplift
• 4:39
Speaker 6: them and get somebody who can talk about, you know,
• 4:43
Speaker 6: what they do and the difference they're making in West Virginia.
• 4:46
Speaker 6: So we have a really interesting one coming up. It
• 4:50
Speaker 6: is on November thirteenth, so next Wednesday, from eleven thirty
• 4:54
Speaker 6: to one pm, and it's going to be called Her Service,
• 4:59
Speaker 6: Her Story, and it's women shaping the Military. So Veterans
• 5:02
Speaker 6: Day is on Monday, so we kind of want to
• 5:04
Speaker 6: celebrate some women who you know, have made significant strides
• 5:08
Speaker 6: in the military here in West Virginia. And it's going
• 5:11
Speaker 6: to be a panel of four women. So two of
• 5:14
Speaker 6: them are currently serving and two have served in the past.
• 5:18
Speaker 6: So we're going to get a lot of different perspectives
• 5:20
Speaker 6: from the women on this panel. And I can tell
• 5:23
Speaker 6: you their names if you want sure. Brigadier General Michelle M.
• 5:27
Speaker 6: Munger and she's the Special Assistant to the Adjutant General
• 5:31
Speaker 6: of West Virginia and I believe she's also the first
• 5:33
Speaker 6: female brigadier general in the state. Major Caroline Mariama and
• 5:38
Speaker 6: she's the West Virginia National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion Commander.
• 5:42
Speaker 6: So those are the two that are currently serving right
• 5:45
Speaker 6: now in the military. And then we have Leanne Haley,
• 5:47
Speaker 6: who is a former Army captain and MARAA. Boggs who
• 5:50
Speaker 6: is a former Army major. And Mara is now she's
• 5:54
Speaker 6: our CEO and president. She has stepped in. She's still
• 5:58
Speaker 6: doing some work with Senator Mansion as he's rounding out
• 6:02
Speaker 6: his term, but she's fully on board and it's cool
• 6:04
Speaker 6: that she's going to be a participant. She has a
• 6:06
Speaker 6: great background and we're just really excited to have her
• 6:09
  Speaker 6: on board.
• 6:09
Speaker 4: I've known Mara for a number of years. As you said,
• 6:11
Speaker 4: she worked for Senator Mansion's office, and when I was
• 6:14
Speaker 4: in state government, she and I traveled a lot in
• 6:16
Speaker 4: the same circles, you know, we would run into each
• 6:18
Speaker 4: other a lot. And it's exciting because, as you said,
• 6:20
Speaker 4: the organization has been without a CEO for I didn't
• 6:23
Speaker 4: realize it had been that long, but without a year.
• 6:25
Speaker 4: So mar is going to step in into that role.
• 6:27
Speaker 4: She brings a wealth of information having worked for Senator Mansion,
• 6:32
Speaker 4: but also with her background in the military, and a
• 6:35
Speaker 4: lot of people may not realize. I got to talk
• 6:38
Speaker 4: to her at an event that both of us were
• 6:39
Speaker 4: at it. I mean, so far as her military service goes,
• 6:42
Speaker 4: and everybody that signs their name on the dotted line
• 6:45
Speaker 4: to serve in the military is a hero in my opinion,
• 6:47
Speaker 4: no matter what they do. But she's a real deal.
• 6:50
Speaker 6: What she's done in the oh my gosh, she's so inspiring,
• 6:53
Speaker 6: and that's why I am so excited that she's going
• 6:55
Speaker 6: to be able to, you know, share her story and
• 6:57
Speaker 6: what's she's been through in the military and in her
• 6:59
Speaker 6: career this panel, but yeah, anybody that gets an opportunity
• 7:03
Speaker 6: to just talk with her will know that she's the
• 7:05
  Speaker 6: real deal.
• 7:06
Speaker 7: And we're just so excited.
• 7:07
Speaker 6: I think she's going to be so transformative for our organization.
• 7:10
Speaker 7: So yeah, really excited.
• 7:12
Speaker 4: It's got a lot of good team members there at
• 7:13
Speaker 4: the organization. I run a show from time to time
• 7:15
Speaker 4: around town. You got a lot of good folks doing
• 7:16
Speaker 4: doing some good stuff there.
• 7:18
Speaker 6: Yeah, we're all and you know, everybody kind of has
• 7:21
Speaker 6: their hands in different things and is doing different projects.
• 7:24
Speaker 6: So it's cool that when we all can come together
• 7:27
Speaker 6: and talk about what we're all working on, we realize,
• 7:29
Speaker 6: oh my gosh, we're all we have a lot going on.
• 7:32
Speaker 6: So really good people, really good organization, Really excited for
• 7:35
Speaker 6: the future of it.
• 7:36
Speaker 4: Talking to Aaron Noon to the Charleston Area Alliance, so
• 7:38
Speaker 4: to Dave Allen showing five Idie li Ive brought to
• 7:40
Speaker 4: you part by Morgan and Morgan. It was more than
• 7:42
Speaker 4: twenty billion dollars recovered. They believe that when you're injured,
• 7:44
Speaker 4: you deserve more. Morgan and Morgan America's largest injury law firm.
• 7:47
Speaker 4: So we talked about the elevations, we talked about these
• 7:49
Speaker 4: other things you've got going on, give us some more
• 7:51
Speaker 4: because you sent me a whole bunch, so go ahead,
• 7:53
Speaker 4: what else you got.
• 7:54
Speaker 6: Yeah, So following elevations next week, on the Thursday, we're
• 7:58
Speaker 6: going to have our business after hour.
• 8:00
Speaker 7: Orse, we have a business after hours once a month.
• 8:02
Speaker 6: It's usually, actually it's not usually, it's always the second
• 8:05
Speaker 6: Thursday of the month from five to seven, and we
• 8:07
Speaker 6: rotate which business is gonna you know, we're gonna highlight
• 8:11
Speaker 6: and where we're gonna who's gonna host it? So next
• 8:13
Speaker 6: month will be at the or next week, I should say,
• 8:16
Speaker 6: my apologies the West Virginia Regional Technology Park, but it's
• 8:21
Speaker 6: also in their co hosting it with Arkland a means.
• 8:24
Speaker 6: So that's gonna be from five to seven next Thursday
• 8:27
Speaker 6: at the West Virginia Regional Technology Park. And that's just
• 8:31
Speaker 6: a good opportunity for people who you know, might be
• 8:33
Speaker 6: new to the area or new in their role, or
• 8:36
Speaker 6: just trying to get more networking opportunities. That's a good
• 8:39
Speaker 6: way to go out there, bring some business cards, meet
• 8:42
Speaker 6: a whole lot of new people and connect.
• 8:45
  Speaker 7: So it's good.
• 8:46
Speaker 4: Now if I if somebody's listened to the show Aaron,
• 8:49
Speaker 4: and they are a business owner, they're a business manager
• 8:52
Speaker 4: or whatever, and they're thinking, well, what can what can
• 8:54
Speaker 4: the Charleston Area Alliance do for me? What would you
• 8:57
  Speaker 4: tell them?
• 8:57
  Speaker 7: Sure?
• 8:58
Speaker 6: I would the number one thing I would say the
• 9:00
Speaker 6: networking opportunities. We're constantly doing referrals and just you know,
• 9:04
Speaker 6: connecting businesses with other businesses and people who might need an.
• 9:09
Speaker 7: Area of help. But we also do so much more.
• 9:12
Speaker 6: I mean, we're working on the Business Improvement District downtown,
• 9:17
Speaker 6: the Charleston Lift Center. It's our learning, innovation, food and
• 9:20
Speaker 6: technology hub that's going to be on the East end.
• 9:23
Speaker 4: Now where will that be on the east end on
• 9:24
  Speaker 4: Dixie Street.
• 9:26
Speaker 6: It's kind of hidden, it's you know what I'm talking about.
• 9:29
Speaker 6: It used to be the old Canan manufacturing site. Okay,
• 9:32
Speaker 6: so we're transforming that into this whole new, whole new project.
• 9:36
Speaker 4: And what exactly is going to go on there?
• 9:38
Speaker 6: So right now we have Drew Dunlapp who is our
• 9:41
Speaker 6: director of Economic Development. He could probably give you some
• 9:43
Speaker 6: better insights, so we'll get him.
• 9:44
  Speaker 9: On this job.
• 9:45
Speaker 4: I know Drew very well, do not go way back.
• 9:47
  Speaker 7: He's the best.
• 9:48
Speaker 6: But right now I think we have two tenants in there,
• 9:51
Speaker 6: the Marshall Battery Manufacturing Center, and then we're also going
• 9:54
Speaker 6: to have a food hub, so it'll be like three
• 9:56
Speaker 6: commercial kitchens. For a business that might want to be
• 9:59
Speaker 6: able to you know, mass produce their product. This is
• 10:03
Speaker 6: going to be an easy way for them to go
• 10:05
Speaker 6: out and do that and get it distributed to people
• 10:09
Speaker 6: all over the state.
• 10:10
Speaker 4: So we have any tenants, and let me tell you
• 10:12
Speaker 4: that happens a lot because somebody has an idea. They
• 10:14
Speaker 4: bake something, or they do something they want, you know,
• 10:17
Speaker 4: pepperoni rolls or whatever, and they want to be able
• 10:19
Speaker 4: to mass produce this one thing, cooking for your family
• 10:22
Speaker 4: or cooking for a church group or whatever in your kitchen.
• 10:24
Speaker 4: But when you're starting to get these products out to
• 10:27
Speaker 4: other businesses, to go to to other retail establishments or whatever,
• 10:31
Speaker 4: it becomes a whole different thing. And a lot of
• 10:33
Speaker 4: these businesses, I won't say that they fail, but they
• 10:36
Speaker 4: put the brakes on that particular project era because they
• 10:39
Speaker 4: can't do that in their small kitchen and their home
• 10:42
Speaker 4: in South Charleston. You know that they need a bigger
• 10:46
Speaker 4: place to do that.
• 10:47
Speaker 6: Yeah, and we've heard from people in the community and
• 10:50
Speaker 6: the mayor that you know, this is a need that we,
• 10:53
Speaker 6: you know, have in Charleston and Kannak County. So we're
• 10:57
Speaker 6: really excited to implement it. And you know, we don't
• 11:00
Speaker 6: these We want everybody to have an option. They don't
• 11:03
Speaker 6: have to go out and purchase all this expensive equipment
• 11:06
Speaker 6: for them to mass.
• 11:07
  Speaker 7: Produce their product.
• 11:08
Speaker 6: We're going to have it here for you so that
• 11:10
Speaker 6: you can, you know, get it up and running and
• 11:13
Speaker 6: really get your business. We want your business to succeed.
• 11:16
Speaker 6: That's really the mission of the Charleston Arey Alliance. We
• 11:18
Speaker 6: just want you, guys, or any business to succeed, and
• 11:21
Speaker 6: we're going to help you in any way, shape or
• 11:23
Speaker 6: form that we can do that. So just get in

• 16:25

• 16:28
Speaker 4: do you want to start local you want to start nationally,
• 16:30
Speaker 4: you want to start to stay all right, So.
• 16:35
Speaker 12: It was a route, right, it was a rout, big
• 16:37
Speaker 12: time route Trump route.
• 16:41
  Speaker 4: And what I've.
• 16:42
Speaker 12: What I've and I don't think the other pundits have
• 16:45
Speaker 12: said this to the depth that I want to compare
• 16:48
Speaker 12: and contrast. But the Democrats did something. They put all
• 16:52
Speaker 12: their eggs in the abortion basket, right, and the divisiveness
• 16:58
Speaker 12: of demographics. You know, let's let's put pitch this this
• 17:01
Speaker 12: demographic against that demographic. Lets stereotype that demographic, and let's
• 17:06
Speaker 12: assume that that demographic is going to vote Democrat. Okay,
• 17:12
Speaker 12: I'll give you an example. The Latinos, right, Latinos they
• 17:18
Speaker 12: assumed were perfectly okay with illegal immigration because a lot
• 17:24
Speaker 12: of those are Latinos. They also assumed that because they
• 17:29
Speaker 12: were a minority, they would vote Democrat, which is a.
• 17:33
Speaker 4: Big mistake that the Democratic parties made in general long
• 17:35
  Speaker 4: before this election.
• 17:37
Speaker 12: That's just one example. Act So what they what they
• 17:39
Speaker 12: don't take, what they didn't take. And by the way,
• 17:42
Speaker 12: I don't want to change their mindset at all. I
• 17:44
Speaker 12: want them to continue to do what they're doing. But Latinas, right,
• 17:50
Speaker 12: are Catholic and Catholics are pro life, okay, and so
• 17:55
Speaker 12: by me and the other stereotype it is it's like
• 17:59
Speaker 12: they're assuming that Latinos who come to this the United
• 18:04
Speaker 12: States legally are going to embrace illegal and that's not true,
• 18:09
  Speaker 12: not at all.
• 18:10
Speaker 4: Okay, they're a little pissed about it. A lot of
• 18:11
Speaker 4: many of them are actually a little angry about it.
• 18:13
Speaker 12: Right right, we had to go ten years to a
• 18:16
Speaker 12: heck of a process. You just get to walk over
• 18:19
Speaker 12: the border. So that's just one example of what they know.
• 18:24
Speaker 12: You know, the gay community, the black community, Asians, they
• 18:29
Speaker 12: did this demographic stereotype again, projecting onto them a stereotype
• 18:38
Speaker 12: that I'm a minority, I'm going to vote Democrat, I'm this,
• 18:40
Speaker 12: I'm going to vote Democrat. And they created a straw
• 18:44
Speaker 12: man argument, which is the Republicans or this Republicans or
• 18:50
Speaker 12: that Republicans are this, and you hate this, this and this.
• 18:52
  Speaker 13: Okay.
• 18:54
Speaker 12: By contrast, this is what the Republicans say to people.
• 18:59
Speaker 12: You you are in a socioeconomic status. Okay, you're a
• 19:05
Speaker 12: middle class gay gay family, you're a middle class Asian family,
• 19:10
Speaker 12: you're a middle class whatever. Okay, we're going to help
• 19:14
Speaker 12: all of you across the board.
• 19:17
Speaker 4: We're not going to single.
• 19:18
Speaker 12: You out demographically. We're going to help every because rising
• 19:24
Speaker 12: tide raises all ships. And that's what the Republicans message is,
• 19:29
Speaker 12: We're going to help everyone. We don't care what your
• 19:32
Speaker 12: demographic is, compared to the divisiveness of the Democrats who
• 19:37
Speaker 12: say hate Republicans because of this stereotype that we are
• 19:42
Speaker 12: projecting on you, most of which are antiquated, right, These
• 19:45
  Speaker 12: antiquated stereotypes.
• 19:47
Speaker 4: Yeah, and there's a lot of those, because you know,
• 19:50
Speaker 4: I have Mike Pushkin on the show frequently, State Democratic
• 19:52
Speaker 4: Party Chair, and Mike is always pushing this thing and
• 19:56
Speaker 4: he and I've gone back and forth on it about
• 19:58
Speaker 4: the Democratic Party is the of the working people. There
• 20:02
Speaker 4: is a certain there was a certain truth to that
• 20:04
Speaker 4: at one time, but again that's just a big a
• 20:08
Speaker 4: misconception as saying that all that if you are Latino,
• 20:13
Speaker 4: you're this whatever, that you are supposed to vote Democratic, right,
• 20:16
Speaker 4: and that the Republicans are just for the country club
• 20:19
Speaker 4: folks and the rich people and so on and so forth.
• 20:21
Speaker 4: These stereotypes are all wrong, All of them are well.
• 20:24
Speaker 12: And the statistics literally are now and you'll I'll give you,
• 20:29
Speaker 12: I'll give you examples that you obviously know. But seventy
• 20:32
Speaker 12: five percent of the wealth in this country is owned
• 20:35
Speaker 12: by Democrats, right, So it's not the Republicans anymore that
• 20:40
Speaker 12: own the wealth in the country club. It's the Democrats
• 20:42
Speaker 12: who are in the country clubs. And look at all
• 20:44
Speaker 12: the billionaires and millionaires, celebrities who endorsed Harris who I
• 20:52
Speaker 12: mean what I mean? We had we had one Musk,
• 20:57
  Speaker 12: we had one.
• 20:57
  Speaker 4: Right, And I don't I don't think. I don't think
• 21:00
Speaker 4: the account Holkgan and I don't know that Scott Bayo
• 21:03
Speaker 4: is gonna is gonna move the needles.
• 21:05
Speaker 12: What I was saying, uh Big and Rich, I mean
• 21:08
  Speaker 12: John Rich. Yeah, there's there's a few that I follow,
• 21:11
Speaker 12: and bless their hearts, nothing compared to the They're not.
• 21:14
Speaker 4: Robert de Niro. They're not Robert de Niro, Rob Ryner
• 21:17
Speaker 4: and and those guys I saw on Sweater somebody posted
• 21:20
Speaker 4: a list of the celebrities that people need to check
• 21:22
Speaker 4: on because they were all going to leave the country.
• 21:24
Speaker 4: And yeah, it was still several other people I saw
• 21:27
Speaker 4: that did that too. Has anybody checked on de Niro's
• 21:30
Speaker 4: anybody checked on on on on Oprah or what happened
• 21:33
Speaker 4: with the view yesterday because I don't watch the post
• 21:35
Speaker 4: of that. Okay, are you the source of everything on
• 21:38
  Speaker 4: the internet?
• 21:39
  Speaker 12: Pretty much?
• 21:40
Speaker 4: Hey, I got a traffic note I need to pass
• 21:41
Speaker 4: on to you. Just under you know, there was a
• 21:43
Speaker 4: big incident uh down into Merritt's Creek exit this morning.
• 21:47
Speaker 4: There has been a second tractor trailer fire reported in
• 21:51
Speaker 4: that scene this morning, from what we understand, again closing
• 21:54
Speaker 4: both directions. So they got that, they got that taken
• 21:59
Speaker 4: care of earlier, They in the process of it. Now
• 22:01
Speaker 4: there is a second. So if you're traveling toward the
• 22:04
Speaker 4: Huntingson area right now, you get to that Marriage Creek exit,
• 22:06
Speaker 4: this is near there. From what I understand, this literally
• 22:08
Speaker 4: just came through. So just please please know that. Got
• 22:13
Speaker 4: a text here for you that says, I don't often
• 22:16
Speaker 4: relate to Rusty web, but his analysis is spot on,
• 22:19
Speaker 4: well done, says the text. That's nice Texas, Dave or Rusty.
• 22:24
Speaker 4: As we were watching them break down each state, we
• 22:26
Speaker 4: saw nothing but a sea of red in almost every state,
• 22:28
Speaker 4: which got us wondering, how do the Dems win anything?
• 22:33
Speaker 12: Well, apparently they lost twenty million voters between twenty twenty
• 22:37
Speaker 12: and twenty twenty four. If you just look at the
• 22:39
Speaker 12: raw numbers, there's, yeah, eighty one versus sixty.
• 22:45
Speaker 4: One, and not all those went Republican, rusty, I mean
• 22:48
Speaker 4: someone independent. But regardless, they lost, they're losing numbers well.
• 22:52
Speaker 12: And they again they're treating the cities. There's treating our
• 22:58
Speaker 12: large they win the large cities. I mean, that's that.
• 23:01
Speaker 12: There's no there's no mystery to this. The Republicans or
• 23:05
Speaker 12: you know, they called them on the View yesterday, they
• 23:07
Speaker 12: called the uneducated women, you know, just without any remorse,
• 23:14
Speaker 12: just said uneducated women. And you know, the thing is
• 23:16
Speaker 12: is and there's a country song back in the nineties
• 23:19
Speaker 12: about this or two thousands where the Flyover states like
• 23:23
Speaker 12: like the Democrats want to appease and be a part
• 23:29
Speaker 12: of the pop culture and you know in LA and
• 23:34
Speaker 12: the elite New York set, and so they adopt whatever
• 23:38
Speaker 12: the people on the View or MSNBC or CNBC, they
• 23:43
Speaker 12: adopt their policies because they have this incestuous relationship.
• 23:48
Speaker 4: That's where the money is.
• 23:49
Speaker 12: Yeah, that's where the money.
• 23:50
Speaker 4: That's where the money is. Yeah, and and the flyover
• 23:52
Speaker 4: so you're exactly right, and there's so many you know,
• 23:55
Speaker 4: New York Chicago, La. You know, fill in whatever city
• 23:58
Speaker 4: you want to, but there's there's a whole lot of
• 24:01
Speaker 4: Kansas out there, and there's a whole lot of West
• 24:03
Speaker 4: Virginia and there, and and the United States is not
• 24:06
Speaker 4: New York. It's not Los Angeles. And look and look,
• 24:09
Speaker 4: I'm gonna be fair. Don't tell them that. Look I'm
• 24:12
Speaker 4: gonna be fair too and say that. Sometimes Charleston has
• 24:17
Speaker 4: a problem with that, thinking that all of the state
• 24:20
Speaker 4: of West Virginia is Charleston, Huntingson, Morgantown, and there's a
• 24:24
Speaker 4: whole lot more Shenston's.
• 24:27
Speaker 12: It's a good segue because what you saw is you
• 24:31
Speaker 12: saw one state senator elected in the Fairmont Morgantown area,
• 24:35
Speaker 12: which is the last bastion of liberalism that in Charleston
• 24:40
Speaker 12: and Huntington. But Huntington you saw a Republican elected. That
• 24:44
Speaker 12: doesn't mean that they're going to go, you know, all conservative, right.
• 24:49
  Speaker 4: I think that a universe. Patrick's to moderate, he's a
• 24:52
Speaker 4: modern Patrick. Yeah, he's American center right.
• 24:56
Speaker 12: But but you know that's what you're seeing, and you're
• 24:59
Speaker 12: you know, in the West Virginia legislature that sent us
• 25:02
Speaker 12: down to two and the House is down to nine,
• 25:07
Speaker 12: which is I think worse than the post Watergate when
• 25:11
Speaker 12: on the Republican side and everybody took a you know,
• 25:14
Speaker 12: a beating on that one. But Patrick Morrisey, Governor elect,
• 25:19
Speaker 12: Patrick Morrisey, you remember the Monty Python when they during
• 25:27
Speaker 12: the their broadcast, they'd say, and now for something totally different,
• 25:32
Speaker 12: that's Patrick Morris. You're going to see. You're not going
• 25:35
Speaker 12: to see, good old boy, you're not going to see.
• 25:42
  Speaker 8: Yeah.
• 25:42
Speaker 12: I think lobbyists are going to have a much much
• 25:45
Speaker 12: lesser role, you know, than they've had in the past.
• 25:48
Speaker 12: And you know, my brother's one of them. Sorry, bro,
• 25:53
Speaker 12: But I think you're going to see practical legislation, lot
• 26:00
Speaker 12: of low hanging fruit that still is still out there,
• 26:03
Speaker 12: a lot of the right sizing of state government. And
• 26:09
Speaker 12: you say, well, you can't cut, you can't cut, you
• 26:11
  Speaker 12: can't cut.
• 26:12
  Speaker 13: Uh.
• 26:12
Speaker 12: There's a lot of hidden money out there, a lot
• 26:15
Speaker 12: of hidden money, a lot of a lot of hoarded,
• 26:17
Speaker 12: hoarded money in these in these agencies, and you need
• 26:20
Speaker 12: the right people to help you find it. But it's
• 26:22
  Speaker 12: out there.
• 26:23
Speaker 4: Let me ask not a couple of texts here, Texas rusty,
• 26:25
Speaker 4: Our children are uneducated. We're fiftieth in the nation in education.
• 26:29
Speaker 4: They're not wrong. I guess in talking about West Virginia
• 26:32
Speaker 4: is being uneducated. I mean, I'm assuming that's what the
• 26:34
  Speaker 4: texture meant.
• 26:35
Speaker 12: No, actually, what they actually when that in that sunny
• 26:40
Speaker 12: Holston made sure that she doubled down on it. And
• 26:45
Speaker 12: what it means is not with no college degree. But
• 26:50
Speaker 12: she didn't make that distinction, and she just wanted to
• 26:53
Speaker 12: make sure that any everyone in the fly over states
• 26:56
Speaker 12: knew that. You know that they let down the country,
• 26:59
Speaker 12: the uneducated women, and it's it was just an insult.
• 27:02
Speaker 12: I mean, they're still in after the loss, they're still
• 27:04
Speaker 12: insulting people. You know, they're just still so bitter.
• 27:08
Speaker 4: Well, let's be fair, Rusty, let's be fair. There was
• 27:11
Speaker 4: a former commander in chief forty five about to be
• 27:15
Speaker 4: commander in chief forty seven that spent four years insulting people.
• 27:19
Speaker 4: Fair enough, fair enough, Texas. Dave Trump has spread hate
• 27:24
Speaker 4: day one. It's in our churches. Tell me what Republicans
• 27:26
Speaker 4: have done for working people and families.
• 27:30
Speaker 12: I'll let you take that in the middle class, lower
• 27:32
Speaker 12: taxes on the middle class, I mean, and he's going
• 27:35
Speaker 12: to do it. He's going to do it more. That's
• 27:38
Speaker 12: how we're going to raise the tide. Okay, that's how
• 27:42
Speaker 12: we're going to raise the tide, because he's going to
• 27:44
Speaker 12: focus on everyone across the socioeconomic spectrum, not demographics of
• 27:52
Speaker 12: this this this culture, this religion, this race. It's divisive.
• 27:58
Speaker 12: It's divisive, and we I think we've had enough of it.
• 28:01
Speaker 4: Honestly, I would agree, Texas Morning Day, that's awful big
• 28:06
Speaker 4: of the Democrats to take the high road and conceive
• 28:08
Speaker 4: the election, while pointing out how Trump didn't do the
• 28:10
Speaker 4: same in twenty twenty. No, actually, it was a landslide.
• 28:13
Speaker 4: They didn't have a choice. I agree with that. But
• 28:16
Speaker 4: let me ask you this. Had these situations been reversed
• 28:19
Speaker 4: and Kamala Harris would have won as big of victory
• 28:23
Speaker 4: as Donald Trump did, do you think Donald Trump would
• 28:26
Speaker 4: have come out as Kamala Harris did yesterday and I
• 28:29
Speaker 4: watched it live, she did an interview or she did
• 28:31
Speaker 4: a press conference at Howard University. Would Donald Trump have
• 28:35
Speaker 4: come out and did what Kamala Harris did yesterday and
• 28:38
Speaker 4: said we must accept the results of the election. Let's
• 28:42
Speaker 4: move on. Would Donald Trump have done Probably?
• 28:44
  Speaker 9: Not?
• 28:45
Speaker 12: All right, let me say this about it. Let me
• 28:48
Speaker 12: say this about the vice president. Okay, her speech yesterday
• 28:53
Speaker 12: was the most cohesive, coherent, elegant speach that she gave
• 29:01
Speaker 12: the entire campaign. And had she done that at every
• 29:07
Speaker 12: stop instead of this, you know this, we what's in
• 29:12
Speaker 12: the past is in the future, all that stuff she
• 29:15
Speaker 12: would have she would have probably done better.
• 29:17
Speaker 4: Her best speech i've heard her give, and I haven't
• 29:19
Speaker 4: seen all of them. That was the best speech yesterday
• 29:21
Speaker 4: in losing that i've heard her give. Danny and I
• 29:24
Speaker 4: talked about this yesterday. We're going to start to wrap
• 29:25
Speaker 4: it up. Danny and I have talked about this yesterday,
• 29:27
Speaker 4: and I referenced Martha Rabbits from ABC News who said
• 29:31
Speaker 4: on election night that she felt America just didn't know
• 29:35
Speaker 4: Kamala Harris. They never got to know her. I call
• 29:37
Speaker 4: bs on that rusty, because, yeah, she just got thrust
• 29:41
Speaker 4: into the presidency, but she's been in public life all
• 29:43
Speaker 4: of her adult life. If you don't know Kamala Harris,
• 29:46
Speaker 4: that's on you, Yeah, because it's out there, it's on you.
• 29:50
Speaker 12: But I you know, but the but the other And
• 29:53
Speaker 12: I'm saying I'm trying to be objective in this in
• 29:56
Speaker 12: this comment. I never heard one policy come out of
• 30:02
Speaker 12: her mouth. It was just it was it was that
• 30:06
Speaker 12: salad thing she did. I mean I never heard I
• 30:09
Speaker 12: mean they I guess if you went to her website,
• 30:11
Speaker 12: which I wouldn't do, you would see some kind of policy.
• 30:14
Speaker 12: But I never heard one thing or or never rebutted.
• 30:19
Speaker 12: She never rebutted the you know, the all the illegal
• 30:22
Speaker 12: aliens that came over during her tenure. She never she
• 30:26
Speaker 12: was in a you know, and then she had to
• 30:28
Speaker 12: embrace her president. You know, she had to. You can't
• 30:31
Speaker 12: not embrace the administration that you've been in. So she
• 30:34
Speaker 12: had this kind of double whammie going right.
• 30:37
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I got a couple of texts here

• 30:54
Speaker 12: Insulting people and calling them garbage and calling them Nazis. Uh,
• 30:59
Speaker 12: focusing on abortion as the only issue I heard, And
• 31:04
Speaker 12: the other one was the men in the women's sports
• 31:09
Speaker 12: and bathrooms. I mean, they just doubled down on it.
• 31:11
Speaker 12: And the American people are not stupid. They don't want that,
• 31:16
Speaker 12: they don't want it. We don't want it here. We

Speaker 4: Welcome to the show.
• 35:38
Speaker 8: Good morning, Thank you so much for having me.
• 35:40
Speaker 4: Thank you for being here. And now as we transition
• 35:43
Speaker 4: into the holiday season, what you got going on.
• 35:46
Speaker 8: Well, we're having we used to have Foody Feast and
• 35:49
Speaker 8: we have transitioned to Thanksgiving. It's a digital donation campaign
• 35:54
Speaker 8: where we're asking individuals to give donations based on anywhere
• 35:59
Speaker 8: from one hundred dollars to one dollar, and that money
• 36:03
Speaker 8: goes to provide an event for the sojourner's people, the
• 36:07
Speaker 8: program participants. Then instead of an event for the community,
• 36:11
Speaker 8: it's an event for them.
• 36:13
Speaker 4: What kind of numbers are we talking about you when
• 36:16
Speaker 4: you do these type programs, Give me a ballpark figure?
• 36:18
Speaker 4: How many families? How many people we talking about here
• 36:20
  Speaker 4: that you serve?
• 36:21
Speaker 8: Well, last year we served over six hundred children and
• 36:25
Speaker 8: adults and we served over fifty two thousand meals and
• 36:30
Speaker 8: we provided over twenty three thousand safe shelter nights.
• 36:35
Speaker 4: What's the average person that uses your services look like?
• 36:39
Speaker 4: Because sometimes I've found, in talking to people Jennifer that
• 36:41
Speaker 4: do this sort of thing for a living, not always
• 36:43
Speaker 4: so you think, you know, it's not always I mean
• 36:46
Speaker 4: there's sometimes it is, but it's not always who you
• 36:50
Speaker 4: think you're looking at when you put out the welcome
• 36:53
  Speaker 4: at That's correct.
• 36:55
Speaker 8: We provide services to so many different individuals that come in.
• 37:00
Speaker 8: People get down on their luck, they lose their job
• 37:02
Speaker 8: at snowballs into them being homeless. There are people that
• 37:06
Speaker 8: lost their homes to fire or to flood, There's mental
• 37:10
Speaker 8: health issues. There's just so many reasons that people come
• 37:13
Speaker 8: to Sojourners and we just try to help them all.
• 37:16
Speaker 8: The average person is not your average person, you know.
• 37:20
Speaker 8: It is somebody that works or maybe they lost their job,
• 37:25
Speaker 8: but they're desperately trying to work, and it is not
• 37:29
Speaker 8: you know, you get your stereotypical you know, you feel
• 37:32
Speaker 8: like people are lazy, but that's not the case at all.
• 37:35
Speaker 4: There are certainly those that are, but I've found and
• 37:38
Speaker 4: again interviewing a lot of people that do work as
• 37:40
Speaker 4: you do, that it's not always what you think, and
• 37:42
Speaker 4: I think that's I have the folks from Health Right
• 37:45
Speaker 4: on a regular basis, and you know, Angie Settle tells
• 37:47
Speaker 4: me that a lot of the people at health Right,
• 37:49
Speaker 4: the majority of people that use Health Right services are
• 37:52
Speaker 4: working people, So it's not always just the stereotype that
• 37:56
Speaker 4: you may think it is. We're talking to do Jennifer
• 37:58
Speaker 4: Fleshman about some activity going on with these folks for
• 38:01
Speaker 4: the holiday season. But Dave Allen showing five eighty Live
• 38:04
Speaker 4: is presented in part by Generations Physical Therapy, the leading
• 38:07

• 38:12
Speaker 4: zero fifty six to sixty or visit GENERATIONSPT dot com
• 38:15
Speaker 4: and find a location near you. So you've got to
• 38:17
Speaker 4: have in order to pull off these programs, you got
• 38:20
Speaker 4: to have a lot of help from the community, from
• 38:22
Speaker 4: the business community, so on and so forth. Talk about that, Well,
• 38:25
  Speaker 4: we have.
• 38:26
Speaker 8: A wonderful community. They help us so much, but there's
• 38:30
Speaker 8: always more work to be done. So we need help
• 38:34
Speaker 8: from business partnerships, individuals, anything that can help. We have
• 38:40
Speaker 8: people that will bring us sheets or pillows or leftover
• 38:45
Speaker 8: food from events that they have had, and we take
• 38:48
Speaker 8: it all, we accept it all, and we use it all.
• 38:51
Speaker 4: That's a good point about you know, sheets and things
• 38:54
Speaker 4: of that nature, and things that you may you know,
• 38:57
Speaker 4: just discard you get get a new set on sale,
• 39:00
Speaker 4: you know, and you say, there's nothing wrong with these,
• 39:02
Speaker 4: but I want to get rid of them. What are
• 39:03
Speaker 4: some of the other things that you take in or
• 39:04
Speaker 4: that you could use for programs, not just doing the holidays,
• 39:08
Speaker 4: but year round, talk about that.
• 39:09
Speaker 8: Year round. We always need twin size sheets, pillows, blankets
• 39:14
Speaker 8: we provide everybody that comes to the shelter, they get
• 39:17
Speaker 8: all of the personal hygiene items. Sometimes people come with
• 39:21
Speaker 8: literally nothing, so we give them clothing vouchers to our
• 39:24
Speaker 8: Past and Presence store. We give them soap, shampoo, razors.
• 39:28
Speaker 8: Every little thing that we take for granted for having
• 39:31
Speaker 8: an extra one in our clauset at home is something
• 39:34
  Speaker 8: that we need.
• 39:35
Speaker 4: And this would be really good. As you know, people
• 39:39
Speaker 4: kind of get into giving mood a little bit more
• 39:41
Speaker 4: so during the holiday season. We're doing some things here
• 39:43
Speaker 4: as a matter of fact, as we head into Thanksgiving,
• 39:45
Speaker 4: and we'll talk about that over the next couple of days.
• 39:48
Speaker 4: But during the holiday season, people just kind of go, Okay,
• 39:50
Speaker 4: I want to do something nice. The need is there
• 39:52
Speaker 4: a year round, but you know you'll take what you
• 39:54
Speaker 4: can get, you know, I completely, I completely understand that.
• 39:57
Speaker 4: So I say that to say that if there's a
• 40:00
Speaker 4: church group out there, if there's a civic organization, you know,
• 40:03
Speaker 4: your rotary kawana is whatever. High school kids always need
• 40:06
Speaker 4: community service hours. There are so many opportunities that you
• 40:09
Speaker 4: can help out causes like this. We get into that
• 40:12
  Speaker 4: a little bit.
• 40:12
Speaker 8: Yes, they can do a drive for us, if they
• 40:15
Speaker 8: want to do a drive at their school or their business,
• 40:17
Speaker 8: to do winter coats or blankets or shampoo and soap.
• 40:23
Speaker 8: You know, any of those things are helpful and we
• 40:26
Speaker 8: appreciate it. If you want to come to the shelter
• 40:29
Speaker 8: and volunteer, we always need painting done or organizing or
• 40:35
Speaker 8: helping to serve a meal or to prepare a meal.
• 40:38
Speaker 4: All right, give us the contact information. I know you're
• 40:41
Speaker 4: all over social media. What's the best way to reach people.
• 40:44

Speaker 4: Pepperoni pizza a pizzaee only twenty one ninety nine Texas. Dave,
• 44:22
Speaker 4: what do you have in Mike Pushkin back on the show.
• 44:25
Speaker 4: Would love to hear his expert opinion on why the
• 44:27
Speaker 4: voters nationwide shows overwhelmingly the Conservative Republican Party candidates. Thanks,
• 44:32
Speaker 4: I've not heard from mister Pushkin. We have a tendency
• 44:35
Speaker 4: to text back and forth on football in the NFL
• 44:37
Speaker 4: Football Sundays, we don't have a lot to be joyous about.
• 44:40
Speaker 4: He being a Jets fan and me being a Cowboys
• 44:42
Speaker 4: fan this season. But anytime Pushkin is I haven't heard
• 44:46
Speaker 4: from him, but he's He's always welcome on the show.
• 44:48
Speaker 4: Devin Rusnick is here. She was elected Tuesday night by
• 44:51
Speaker 4: the voters of Kenawa County to be the next prosecuting Attorney.
• 44:53
Speaker 4: I guess the title is now prosecuting Attorney elect. Is
• 44:55
  Speaker 4: that right?
• 44:56
  Speaker 7: Yes?
• 44:56
Speaker 4: All right, So welcome to the show, and congratulations.
• 44:59
Speaker 3: Thank you for having me.
• 45:00
Speaker 7: I'm glad to be back.
• 45:00
Speaker 4: I'm gonna need you to come. I'm gonna need you
• 45:02
Speaker 4: crank up here. You're a soft speaker.
• 45:03
  Speaker 8: Now.
• 45:03
Speaker 4: I know others in your life would say that that
• 45:06
  Speaker 4: is not My.
• 45:06
Speaker 3: Husband would say, you are absolutely wrong.
• 45:08
Speaker 4: I wasn't going to say that, all right, And others
• 45:11
Speaker 4: may say that. Our good friend and we have a
• 45:13
Speaker 4: mutual friend, Tommy Clay, who I know is listening right now,
• 45:16
Speaker 4: and Tommy Clay would probably not say that. But anyway,
• 45:19
Speaker 4: talk about the campaign. Talk about the campaign overall, you know.
• 45:21
Speaker 9: It was it was a new experience for me, never
• 45:24
Speaker 9: having been involved in any sort of political realm at all.
• 45:29
Speaker 7: So it was new.
• 45:30
  Speaker 3: I learned a lot. I met a lot of.
• 45:31
Speaker 9: Great people, and you know, I was really able to
• 45:34
Speaker 9: get out there and talk to people and find out
• 45:38
Speaker 9: what they wanted, where we were lacking at the office,
• 45:41
Speaker 9: where the public thought we were lacking, and how to
• 45:45
Speaker 9: kind of take what they were giving me and move forward.
• 45:48
Speaker 4: And now it's time to go to work.
• 45:50
  Speaker 3: It is time.
• 45:50
Speaker 4: But we've been in this role though. I mean, tell
• 45:53
Speaker 4: tell people that are listening that may not know the
• 45:55
Speaker 4: whole story, because it's not like, you know, you just
• 45:57
Speaker 4: got hired off the street to be the procecuting attorney
• 45:59
Speaker 4: and we're vote in. I mean, you've been doing this.
• 46:01
  Speaker 8: For a while.
• 46:02
Speaker 9: I have. I was an assistant prosecutor for years under
• 46:06
Speaker 9: Chuck Miller, and then I decided, I was when I
• 46:09
Speaker 9: heard that Chuck was going to retire, I decided to
• 46:13
Speaker 9: run for the position, and so I won the primary nomination,
• 46:21
Speaker 9: and then shortly thereafter, I think it was in May,
• 46:25
Speaker 9: I won. And then at the end of May beginning
• 46:27
Speaker 9: of June, Chuck retired, and so the Kennall County Commission
• 46:31
Speaker 9: appointed me to fill his spot as the Kennall County
• 46:35
Speaker 9: prosecutor in the interim until the general election was had.
• 46:40
Speaker 9: And so now I've won the general election and I
• 46:42
Speaker 9: am ready to get to work.
• 46:44
Speaker 4: And with the issues that we had in Kanawha County,
• 46:47
Speaker 4: which you know, they thankfully were able to get rectified,
• 46:50
Speaker 4: we didn't know because of the problem with the memory
• 46:53
Speaker 4: stick or whatever it was till seven am yesterday morning. Officially,
• 46:57
Speaker 4: did you stay awake for the whole thing?
• 46:59
Speaker 9: I stayed away, wait until about five thirty. I went
• 47:02
Speaker 9: to sleep, got two hours of sleep, got up at
• 47:04
Speaker 9: seven thirty and went to work.
• 47:05
Speaker 4: Okay, all right, but it was, you know, everybody's kind
• 47:08
Speaker 4: of in it, because that was one of the races
• 47:09
Speaker 4: that was a little bit closer. Some of them weren't
• 47:11
Speaker 4: that close, but that was one of the ones that
• 47:12
Speaker 4: that people were looking at talk about the you know,
• 47:15
Speaker 4: in the primary, you know, the normally prosecuting a journey.
• 47:19
Speaker 4: It's very important role, do not get me wrong, but
• 47:21
Speaker 4: sometimes it's one that doesn't get all the attention. You know,
• 47:24
Speaker 4: people are focused on mayors and governors and presidents and
• 47:26
Speaker 4: not whatever sometimes, but this was one that it got
• 47:30
Speaker 4: a little little testy, especially in the primary. And you
• 47:35
Speaker 4: prevailed there and then in the in the general. I
• 47:39
Speaker 4: don't know that it was. Maybe you have a different story.
• 47:41
Speaker 4: I don't know that it was quite as testing. Maybe
• 47:43
  Speaker 4: it was. I don't know.
• 47:44
Speaker 3: No, it certainly was not.
• 47:45
Speaker 4: And and and John Mitchell, you know, I had him
• 47:48
Speaker 4: on the show a few times, just like I did Youse.
• 47:50
Speaker 4: Seems like a very nice gentleman and a wealth of
• 47:54
Speaker 4: experience and hopefully you two can talk and you know,
• 47:57
Speaker 4: get ideas or whatever. But but so, why was it
• 48:02
Speaker 4: that voters chose you? You have this resume, But at
• 48:06
Speaker 4: the end of the day, the voters have to go
• 48:07
Speaker 4: in the booth and they have to choose whoever they
• 48:09
Speaker 4: want to serve them, no matter what the office, and
• 48:11
Speaker 4: they chose deb Resnick. Why did they choose you?
• 48:13
Speaker 9: I believe that I really focused on getting my message
• 48:16
Speaker 9: out there in terms of you know, everyone wants someone
• 48:20
Speaker 9: who says they're tough on crime. But at the end
• 48:23
Speaker 9: of the day, I've been able to show people I
• 48:25
Speaker 9: am tough on crime, and I think that was a
• 48:27
Speaker 9: big positive for me. I was able to be able
• 48:30
Speaker 9: to get that message out let people know, you know
• 48:33
Speaker 9: that I am not one that's going.
• 48:36
Speaker 3: To take these cases lightly, any case lightly.
• 48:39
Speaker 9: And that I feel my office has an obligation to
• 48:42
Speaker 9: review every case with an unbiased eye, and I think
• 48:46
Speaker 9: me getting that out there, being able to tell people
• 48:49
  Speaker 9: here's the work I've done, here's the work I want
• 48:51
Speaker 9: to continue to do. I think that really set me
• 48:55
Speaker 9: apart from both of the opposing candidates.
• 48:59
Speaker 4: And one of the things you had a couple while
• 49:01
Speaker 4: the campaign was going on of high profile cases. I
• 49:05
Speaker 4: had you on talking about the tragic situation where the
• 49:08
Speaker 4: young man murdered the store clerk over in North Charleston.
• 49:10
Speaker 4: I had you on to talk about that. You and
• 49:12
Speaker 4: I both agreed that regardless those a lot of people's
• 49:15
Speaker 4: lives were changed forever. And then I had you on
• 49:18
Speaker 4: when we were having the rash of the school threats
• 49:22
Speaker 4: and talking about the seriousness and what parents and students
• 49:25
Speaker 4: need to know that this is some serious stuff here
• 49:27
Speaker 4: that you're doing. This is not just as simple prank.
• 49:29
Speaker 4: So you had some high profile things you were working on,
• 49:33
Speaker 4: but the day to day work at the Prosecute Attorney's office,
• 49:35
Speaker 4: a lot of times, unless it's that high profile case,
• 49:37
Speaker 4: people don't always know about it, but it's still important.
• 49:39
Speaker 9: Nonetheless it is, And that is one thing that I
• 49:43
Speaker 9: have really tried to change since I took over in June.
• 49:46
Speaker 9: Is the transparency, because if the public is not seeing
• 49:50
Speaker 9: the work that we're doing, then they don't think we're
• 49:53
Speaker 9: doing any work. And so to be able to let
• 49:56
Speaker 9: people know, here are the cases we have, here a
• 50:00
Speaker 9: are you know, the cases that we've had, whether it
• 50:03
Speaker 9: be convictions or plea offers or what for the public
• 50:07
Speaker 9: to be able to see we are working. And not
• 50:10
Speaker 9: only are we working, but we're working for them. And
• 50:13
Speaker 9: so it's I believe, very very important that we have
• 50:18
Speaker 9: some level you know, obviously the rules are very strict
• 50:21
Speaker 9: on what we can and cannot reveal, but there needs
• 50:25
Speaker 9: to be a level of transparency. And the people in
• 50:29
Speaker 9: my office have really started understanding, you know, we work
• 50:34
Speaker 9: for the county, we work for the citizens, and at
• 50:38
Speaker 9: the end of the day, if we're not doing our job,
• 50:40
Speaker 9: we're not protecting those citizens. And you know, you brought
• 50:44
Speaker 9: up a good point when we were talking about the
• 50:46
Speaker 9: case where the UH store clerk was murdered. That is
• 50:50
Speaker 9: certainly one thing that a lot of people don't understand.
• 50:55
Speaker 9: I think, you know, as prosecutors and police officers and
• 50:59
Speaker 9: anyone involved in law enforcement, those things are hard on
• 51:02
Speaker 9: us too, and so it's not if we're not out here,
• 51:06
Speaker 9: you know, celebrating and you know, putting out this public
• 51:10
Speaker 9: perception that we're so ecstatic over, you know, putting people
• 51:14
Speaker 9: in prison for the rest of their lives.
• 51:16
Speaker 3: It's certainly not the case. It's the fact of the matter.
• 51:19
Speaker 9: The fact of the matter is we take those cases
• 51:22
Speaker 9: to heart and we realize, no matter whether it is
• 51:26
Speaker 9: a victim, a defendant, you know, a witness, this is
• 51:30
  Speaker 9: affecting real people.
• 51:32
Speaker 3: And their real life and to view that and as.
• 51:36
  Speaker 9: A prosecutor or a police officer, oftentimes it's it's hard
• 51:40
  Speaker 9: to bear.
