- 2:29Speaker 5: say we hold each other accountable, right because just like
- 2:34Speaker 5: it says right here in the Book of Jeremiah that
- 2:37Speaker 5: our hearts are evil, our hearts can deceive us, our
- 2:42Speaker 5: hearts can lead us astray, and we want to yield
- 2:47Speaker 5: our hearts to the word of the Lord. We want
- 2:50Speaker 5: to be able to be submitted unto him. So sometimes
- 2:53Speaker 5: it's good to have that accountability partner that will speak
- 2:56Speaker 5: it to your life and say, you know what, that's
- 2:58Speaker 5: not God's will for you, you brother or sister amen,
- 3:03Speaker 5: and for us to receive it is a blessing. And
- 3:07Speaker 5: so meet us there and you can also hit us
- 3:10Speaker 5: up on our website his hot nation dot com if

- 3:26Speaker 5: where you can find us on an app or on
- 3:30Speaker 5: the website. One. And with that, let's go before our
- 3:37Speaker 5: Father in prayer. Heavenly Father, we just thank you Lord
- 3:41Speaker 5: for another day. Thank you God, you gave us another opportunity,
- 3:45Speaker 5: Father God, Oh Lord, just to be able to dwell
- 3:50Speaker 5: in your presence. Lord, Oh God. We just love you
- 3:54Speaker 5: for who you are, Oh God, and not just for
- 3:58Speaker 5: what you can do for us. So God, you're beautiful,
- 4:01Speaker 5: Old God, just being you, Old God. Thank you Lord
- 4:04Speaker 5: that you loved us first, Lord, that you laid down
- 4:07Speaker 5: your life for your friends. Lord Jesus, and we appreciate you.
- 4:13Speaker 5: We thank you, he praise you. We exalt the name
- 4:19Speaker 5: of Jesus Christ. On this podcast, we asked in Jesus's
- 4:25Speaker 5: mighty name. Ay man. All right, Well we're going to
- 4:32Speaker 5: get into Jeremiah chapter seventeen, but before we do, I
- 4:37Speaker 5: just want to give a couple of shout outs. Man.
- 4:39Speaker 5: We went to our hogh seeds, a couple marriage, a
- 4:46Speaker 5: couple meeting at our church last night, fresh Wind. And
- 4:54Speaker 5: it's been a while since we've been able to make
- 4:56Speaker 5: it to these meetings. And you know, because we live
- 4:59Speaker 5: so far away from the church. We're like thirty minutes
- 5:02Speaker 5: forty minutes away from the church, so we have to
- 5:04Speaker 5: be strategic about, you know, which events that we we attend.
- 5:10Speaker 5: But last night was amazing and I wanted to give
- 5:16Speaker 5: a shout out to my brother Jabrel and his bride.
- 5:22Speaker 5: Like right before we started the meeting, my brother took
- 5:26Speaker 5: at least five minutes to sit there and tell everyone
- 5:31Speaker 5: about this ministry. He was telling the couples about the podcast.
- 5:36Speaker 5: He was telling them about the website, the radio station,
- 5:39Speaker 5: and he was saying, how you know, he was cleaning
- 5:42Speaker 5: the garage on a Saturday and he was playing the
- 5:46Speaker 5: app all the day long. And brother, I just want
- 5:49Speaker 5: to say thank you. We appreciate you, and of course,
- 5:53Speaker 5: you know, all the glory goes to God. We thank
- 5:57Speaker 5: you that God is using this podcast to bless you
- 6:00Speaker 5: and your family. Even his wife Tamika mentioned that she
- 6:06Speaker 5: found out about the Walmart how they can support us
- 6:10Speaker 5: on Walmart. This is awesome when people, you know, when
- 6:17Speaker 5: you get a little you know, a little recognition, you
- 6:20Speaker 5: know what I mean. Of course, this guy's glory, but
- 6:24Speaker 5: when people are getting blessed and you see the fruits
- 6:26Speaker 5: of it is very encouraging. So we appreciate the love. Amen.
- 6:34Speaker 5: Now I have been emboldened to fulfill the call that
- 6:38Speaker 5: God has placed on me. Just see the power of fellowship,
- 6:42Speaker 5: just the power of encouragement, the power of community. Amen.
- 6:49Speaker 5: So I thank y'all with that. Let's go ahead and
- 6:53Speaker 5: get in and see. Today we're gonna continue the journey
- 6:57Speaker 5: through the book of Jeremiah, and we're gonna go through
- 7:01Speaker 5: verses fourteen through twenty seven. Now, this passage starts with
- 7:09Speaker 5: a very personal prayer from our prophet Jeremiah, and he says,
- 7:17Speaker 5: heal me, o Lord, and I shall be healed. Save me,
- 7:24Speaker 5: and I shall be saved. Jeremiah is hurting. He is
- 7:31Speaker 5: being criticized. People are mocking the message God has given him.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Have you ever been there before? And he's asking God
- 7:40Speaker 5: to stand with him. But also as shifts, God gives
- 7:45Speaker 5: Jeremiah a message concerning the Sabbath and calls the people
- 7:50Speaker 5: to obedience. So we're gonna see something important today. And
- 7:56Speaker 5: God cares about our hearts, but he also cares about
- 8:00Speaker 5: our obedience. So let's dive in and we're gonna jump
- 8:11Speaker 5: in with verse fourteen, Oh Lord, heal me, o Lord,
- 8:23Speaker 5: and I shall be healed. Save me, and I shall
- 8:28Speaker 5: be saved for you are my praise. Hallelujah. It is
- 8:34Speaker 5: awesome when we make the Lord God our praise. Amen. Now,
- 8:40Speaker 5: Jeremiah knows exactly where his help is coming from. He
- 8:44Speaker 5: doesn't say, can people fix me? And he doesn't say
- 8:49Speaker 5: my circumstance will fix itself? Right? No, he says, heal me,
- 8:56Speaker 5: o Lord. Now let's take a look at Jeremiah's complete
- 9:04Speaker 5: obedience upon God. Jeremiah he understood that true healing and
- 9:13Speaker 5: true deliverance ultimately comes from God and from God alone. Now,
- 9:19Speaker 5: his confidence was not in human strength, but his confidence
- 9:24Speaker 5: was in the Lord. Amen. How many of us know
- 9:33Speaker 5: that the Lord wants to heal us. All he wants
- 9:37Speaker 5: is for us to come to him and just be honest,
- 9:41Speaker 5: to be honest about what we deal with. And this
- 9:46Speaker 5: is something that we need to remember. Sometimes we try
- 9:49Speaker 5: everything else before we pray, right, And sometimes when people
- 9:55Speaker 5: say pray, they think, wow, is it that bad? Like
- 9:57Speaker 5: prayer is a last resort for a lot of people,
- 10:00Speaker 5: But prayer should be our first resort in any situation,
- 10:07Speaker 5: in any circumstance. And Beloved, I'm speaking to myself as well. Right,
- 10:16Speaker 5: sometimes we try to call everybody we know, we'll go
- 10:20Speaker 5: and search the internet. Then we start worrying about the situation.
- 10:24Speaker 5: Then it turns into stress and we try to fix
- 10:28Speaker 5: everything ourselves, and then finally we say, Lord, I need
- 10:32Speaker 5: you now. Jeremiah shows us that God should not be
- 10:37Speaker 5: our last resort, He should be our first. And her
- 10:42Speaker 5: only response say, man, you can never go wrong Verse fifteen.
- 10:56Speaker 5: Indeed they said to me, where is the word of
- 11:00Speaker 5: the Lord? Let it come now? All right, well, let's
- 11:06Speaker 5: break this down real quick. Where is the word of
- 11:09Speaker 5: the Lord. Now? The people at this point are starting
- 11:12Speaker 5: to mock Jeremiah. They're just basically asking where is the
- 11:19Speaker 5: word of the Lord? Let it come now. They're challenging
- 11:24Speaker 5: the prophet because they haven't seen the judgment happen yet,
- 11:29Speaker 5: so now they're challenging him. I mean, these people were bold.
- 11:35Speaker 5: That is bold, you know what I mean? Like to
- 11:38Speaker 5: sit here and get a prophetic word of judgment against
- 11:43Speaker 5: your life and then you're going to talk about, well,
- 11:45Speaker 5: where is it at? Man? I can see why God
- 11:51Speaker 5: had the attitude he had, Like we can see what
- 11:54Speaker 5: was going on inside their hearts just by their response.
- 11:58Speaker 5: Look like you lost another one, Jesus says. Out of
- 12:04Speaker 5: the abundance of the heart does the mouth speak. So
- 12:08Speaker 5: now they're bold enough to challenge this man. They've heard
- 12:15Speaker 5: Jeremiah warning them over and over again. But because judgment
- 12:20Speaker 5: hasn't arrived on their schedule right when they thought it
- 12:25Speaker 5: should come, they're treating God's word like it's nothing. A
- 12:33Speaker 5: lot of people take the grace of God for granted.
- 12:36Speaker 5: This is dangerous. Never ever confuse God's patience with God's approval.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Just because he's patient with you does not mean he
- 12:48Speaker 5: approves your lifestyle and the things that you're doing. Just
- 12:51Speaker 5: because God doesn't act yet doesn't mean that he is
- 12:57Speaker 5: not going.
- 12:57Speaker 1: To act another one.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Sometimes people, actually sometimes God gives people time to repent,
- 13:11Speaker 5: and this we can find under the category of God's mercy.
- 13:17Speaker 5: Because God is merciful, he wants people to repent and
- 13:24Speaker 5: not come to judgment verse sixteen. As for me, I
- 13:29Speaker 5: have not hurried away from being a shepherd who follows you,
- 13:35Speaker 5: nor have I desired the woeful day. You know what
- 13:42Speaker 5: came out of my lips, that it was right there
- 13:48Speaker 5: before you.
- 13:52Speaker 3: It looks like you lost another one.
- 13:55Speaker 5: So Jeremiah tells God that he hasn't ran away from
- 13:59Speaker 5: his responsibility.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Right.
- 14:02Speaker 5: He didn't ask for disaster, He didn't want to see
- 14:06Speaker 5: people destroyed. He simper simply delivered the message that God
- 14:12Speaker 5: has given him. You just faithful to the message, to
- 14:16Speaker 5: the word that the Lord gave him. In Jeremiah's message
- 14:22Speaker 5: was one of judgment, but his heart wasn't one of hatred. Right,
- 14:29Speaker 5: just because God tells you to give a message like
- 14:34Speaker 5: this a message of warning, like even myself, Sometimes my
- 14:39Speaker 5: wife and I we have a debate, and I always
- 14:43Speaker 5: like to include a warning from Hell or warning not
- 14:50Speaker 5: to go to Hell when I witness and when I evangelize,
- 14:54Speaker 5: And sometimes my wife be like, you bring up Hell
- 14:57Speaker 5: too much? Like why do you always try to, you know,
- 15:01Speaker 5: preach Hell and this and that and the other. Because
- 15:03Speaker 5: I feel if you know about it, maybe there are
- 15:07Speaker 5: better chances that you will know to avoid that place.
- 15:11Speaker 5: And nobody ever warned you of the judgment to come. Right,
- 15:15Speaker 5: we all need a healthy fear of God. But just
- 15:22Speaker 5: because I bring up Hell, I think that's a loving
- 15:25Speaker 5: thing to do. I'm not hating on people. Right, just
- 15:29Speaker 5: because someone maybe getting judged, it doesn't mean that we
- 15:32Speaker 5: have to hate those people. We can hate the sin,
- 15:37Speaker 5: hate their actions, but it's through loving kindness that we
- 15:42Speaker 5: will win others. Amen. Now, Jeremiah was faithfully serving God
- 15:49Speaker 5: while he had to carry the emotional weight of every
- 15:56Speaker 5: message right because they called him the weeping prophet. Now
- 16:02Speaker 5: that is a very important distinction here. We should enjoy
- 16:07Speaker 5: watching people repent and get right with God, but we
- 16:11Speaker 5: should never enjoy watching people fail. We should never be
- 16:19Speaker 5: happy about God's judgment falling on a nation or on
- 16:25Speaker 5: people individually. Right, when we warn someone about sin, the
- 16:31Speaker 5: goals should be restoration. When we preach the gospel, the
- 16:36Speaker 5: goals should be salvation. When we tell somebody the truth,
- 16:42Speaker 5: it should be because we love them. Truth without love
- 16:47Speaker 5: becomes nothing but just cruelty. Have you heard people that says,
- 16:51Speaker 5: I like to keep it one hundred, I'm just going
- 16:53Speaker 5: to tell the truth, but there's no love anywhere, and
- 16:59Speaker 5: what they're saying, it just becomes cruel People know people
- 17:05Speaker 5: pretty much know what they deal with, but you just
- 17:07Speaker 5: put it, put them out there on blasts, and you
- 17:10Speaker 5: don't try to cover them in love. It really is ineffective.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Love without truth becomes compromised. So we got to have
- 17:23Speaker 5: a healthy balance. We can't say, oh, I love you
- 17:27Speaker 5: and I care about you, but I'm never going to
- 17:29Speaker 5: tell you the truth. You cannot say that that is
- 17:34Speaker 5: not love. I mean, you cannot call this love.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Right.
- 17:38Speaker 5: We need both, We need a healthy balance between the two.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Verse seventeen, do not be in terror to me. Do
- 17:51Speaker 5: not be a terror to me, for you are my
- 17:56Speaker 5: hope in the day of doom. Amen. Now Jeremiah is
- 18:02Speaker 5: crying out to the God of Israel. Right, it is
- 18:09Speaker 5: be not a terror unto me, for thou art my
- 18:12Speaker 5: hope in the day of doom. Now that is an
- 18:15Speaker 5: answer right there. Jeremiah's circumstances are terrible at this moment,
- 18:22Speaker 5: but his hope is still intact. Now why is that
- 18:28Speaker 5: because his hope is in God. Amen. We can lose
- 18:34Speaker 5: things and still have hope. We can lose money, we
- 18:39Speaker 5: can lose a job, we can lose a relationship, we
- 18:43Speaker 5: can go through a difficult season. But if we still
- 18:47Speaker 5: have God, we still have hope. Amen. And that's why
- 18:54Speaker 5: our hope cannot be attached to things that can disappear.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Put your hope in the one who is eternal. This
- 19:07Speaker 5: world is passing away. This world is just temporary need
- 19:12Speaker 5: to keep our hope in the Lord. Let them be
- 19:17Speaker 5: a shame who persecute me, but do not let me
- 19:21Speaker 5: be put to shame. Let them be dismayed, but do
- 19:25Speaker 5: not let me be this mad. Bring on them the
- 19:30Speaker 5: day of doom and destroy them with double destruction. All right, Well,
- 19:39Speaker 5: let's pick this apart real quick. First of all, there's
- 19:43Speaker 5: nothing wrong with praying and asking God for his protection.
- 19:50Speaker 5: Jeremiah ask God to deal with those who are persecuting him, right,
- 19:57Speaker 5: and to me, this is encouraging because we all get,
- 20:02Speaker 5: all of us who are walking faithfully with the Lord,
- 20:04Speaker 5: we get persecuted. We get persecuted on our jobs, we
- 20:09Speaker 5: get persecuted at school, we get persecuted out in the
- 20:14Speaker 5: community when we're trying to minister and street preach. People
- 20:18Speaker 5: are starting to get more and more violent against Christians.
- 20:24Speaker 5: And I've been in places where I've had to pray
- 20:27Speaker 5: for God's protection, and God has came through every time.
- 20:33Speaker 5: He's never lost a battle. Amen. But just like David
- 20:38Speaker 5: in the Book of Psalms, he prayed against his persecutors.
- 20:43Speaker 5: He asked that God would break their jaw and break
- 20:45Speaker 5: their teeth. God is protective over his children. Amen. So
- 20:53Speaker 5: Jeremiah asked God to deal with them. He wants his
- 20:56Speaker 5: enemies to be exposed and confounded. But notice something here,
- 21:02Speaker 5: Jeremiah brings the matter to God. Jeremiah does not take
- 21:08Speaker 5: revenge in his own hands. That is the key, and
- 21:13Speaker 5: that's a powerful lesson. When people hurt us, it's natural
- 21:18Speaker 5: to want to get even with them, But revenge can
- 21:23Speaker 5: become a trap. Right. It is a path to the
- 21:27Speaker 5: dark side. When I'm saying this, I'm thinking of Star Wars. Right.
- 21:30Speaker 5: You cannot that will bring you to the to the
- 21:34Speaker 5: dark side of the force. You know what I'm saying.
- 21:36Speaker 5: We cannot take revenge on our own. Sometimes we have
- 21:41Speaker 5: to say God, you handle this right. That doesn't mean
- 21:47Speaker 5: that you ignore injustice, but it just means that you
- 21:50Speaker 5: don't allow hatred to control your heart control our hearts. Amen.
- 22:00Speaker 5: All right, let's go verse nineteen through twenty that says,
- 22:04Speaker 5: thus the Lord said to me, go and stand in
- 22:08Speaker 5: the gates in the of the children of the people,
- 22:13Speaker 5: by which the kings of Judah come in and buy
- 22:18Speaker 5: which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem,
- 22:24Speaker 5: and say to them, hear the word of the Lord,
- 22:27Speaker 5: you kings of Judah and all Judah and all the
- 22:33Speaker 5: inhabitants of Jerusalem who enter by these gates. All right,
- 22:47Speaker 5: let's break it down from here. Standing in the gates
- 22:52Speaker 5: right now, God gives Jeremiah another assignment. Here He tells
- 22:59Speaker 5: j Ramiah to stand at the gate of Jerusalem and
- 23:03Speaker 5: speak to the people. He is instructed to address the
- 23:08Speaker 5: kings and the people of Judah and everyone coming through
- 23:14Speaker 5: those gates. Now, the message right here he's going to
- 23:19Speaker 5: talk about is going to be concerning the Sabbath day. Now,
- 23:25Speaker 5: this is important because God is now moving from Jeremiah's
- 23:30Speaker 5: personal struggle to the people's obedience at this point. So
- 23:37Speaker 5: let's pick it up in verse twenty one all the
- 23:41Speaker 5: way to twenty two. Thus says the Lord, take heed
- 23:47Speaker 5: to yourselves, and bear no burden on the Sabbath day,
- 23:51Speaker 5: nor bring it in by the gate of Jerusalem, nor
- 23:56Speaker 5: carry a burden out of your house on the Sabbath day,
- 24:00Speaker 5: nor do any work but hollow the Sabbath day, as
- 24:05Speaker 5: I commanded. Your father's a man. Now drew Judah. I mean,
- 24:16Speaker 5: what did they obey? You know what I'm saying that
- 24:19Speaker 5: to be critical, because I mean, we all struggle, But
- 24:23Speaker 5: I mean, they just did not obey the Sabbath, like
- 24:26Speaker 5: they just did not want to listen. God says. Their
- 24:28Speaker 5: fathers didn't listen. They refuse to hear, they refuse to
- 24:33Speaker 5: be corrected, they refuse to be obedient. And now the
- 24:38Speaker 5: current generation was reaping the same behavior as their parents.
- 24:46Speaker 5: This is where we need to be careful, right, because
- 24:48Speaker 5: we can inherit habits if we're not careful. We can
- 24:55Speaker 5: inherit attitudes from our parents, from those who before us.
- 25:00Speaker 5: We can inherit this function, but we don't have to
- 25:07Speaker 5: inherit disobedience. At some point, somebody has to say it
- 25:13Speaker 5: stops here, It stops right now, It stops in my generation. Amen.
- 25:20Speaker 5: And I can say that I grew up my father
- 25:23Speaker 5: was an alcoholic, and I decided that I will not
- 25:29Speaker 5: take a drink. I decided it stops here. My children
- 25:35Speaker 5: did not see me drinking. They never saw a cup
- 25:39Speaker 5: or a bottle in my hand. They never saw what
- 25:43Speaker 5: I saw, what I had to grow up with and
- 25:47Speaker 5: what I had to deal with. Amen. So somebody has
- 25:51Speaker 5: to say it stops here. Maybe your family didn't pray together, Well,
- 25:59Speaker 5: you start praying pray with your children growing up. Maybe
- 26:02Speaker 5: your family didn't study scripture. You start studying the scripture.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Teach your family to study the scripture. Maybe your family
- 26:11Speaker 5: carried bitterness, Let it stop with you. Maybe previous generations
- 26:18Speaker 5: walked away from God. Well you'd be the one to
- 26:22Speaker 5: turn back to the lore. Amen, let it start with
- 26:28Speaker 5: you Verse twenty three. But they did not obey nor
- 26:34Speaker 5: incline their ear, but made their next stiff that they
- 26:39Speaker 5: might not hear nor receive instruction. And it shall be
- 26:46Speaker 5: if you heed me carefully, says the Lord. To bring
- 26:52Speaker 5: no burden through the gates of this city on the
- 26:55Speaker 5: Sabbath day, but hollow the Sabbath day to do, you know,
- 27:00Speaker 5: work on it. Then shall enter the gates of the city,
- 27:07Speaker 5: kings and princes sitting on the throne of David, riding
- 27:11Speaker 5: in chariots and on horses, and their princes accompanied by
- 27:19Speaker 5: the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and
- 27:24Speaker 5: the city will remain forever. Okay, all right, let's begin
- 27:38Speaker 5: to break this down. And I think this is this
- 27:47Speaker 5: is interesting. God says that if the people would listen
- 27:55Speaker 5: and keep the Sabbath holy, the kings and people will
- 28:00Speaker 5: continue to enter Jerusalem. Now, God describes a thriving city.
- 28:09Speaker 5: There would be people coming through the gates with offering.
- 28:14Speaker 5: The city would continue to prosper. Now God is showing
- 28:21Speaker 5: them that obedience isn't designed to destroy their lives. His
- 28:27Speaker 5: commandments were intended to lead them towards blessing and a
- 28:32Speaker 5: relationship with him. We can often see God's commands as restrictive.
- 28:40Speaker 5: That is a straight trick of the enemy, right because
- 28:44Speaker 5: we got to deny our flesh, we got to put
- 28:46Speaker 5: our flesh down, We got to deny ourselves from desires
- 28:50Speaker 5: that are destructive in the first place. But God's commands
- 28:55Speaker 5: are actually protection. God knows what we don't know. He
- 29:01Speaker 5: sees consequences that we cannot see. So when he tells
- 29:08Speaker 5: us not to do something, it's not because he wants
- 29:12Speaker 5: to keep something good from us. It's because he knows
- 29:18Speaker 5: what's on the other side. And I think it's interesting
- 29:23Speaker 5: that at this point, now, if you've been following us,
- 29:31Speaker 5: we know that a couple of chapters ago, he told
- 29:35Speaker 5: Jeremiah not to even pray for these people. He told
- 29:39Speaker 5: him that even if Moses or Elijah would intercede for
- 29:45Speaker 5: this city, he would not turn his heart away from
- 29:47Speaker 5: the judgment. He told him that judgment was inevitable, that
- 29:53Speaker 5: judgment has to come. But even this late in the game,
- 29:58Speaker 5: he's giving them an olive brand. He's telling them to
- 30:03Speaker 5: keep the Sabbath. He's looking for an excuse to show
- 30:07Speaker 5: them mercy and to forgive him. Even now, he said
- 30:13Speaker 5: that they would thrive and the city would last forever.
- 30:19Speaker 5: So that tells us right there, beloved, that Jerusalem did
- 30:22Speaker 5: not need to be destroyed. It could have remained until
- 30:29Speaker 5: this day. How glorious would that have been to have
- 30:33Speaker 5: a three thousand year old city, you know what I mean,
- 30:37Speaker 5: still functioning like it did when it started. That'd have
- 30:41Speaker 5: been a witness to the whole world. Amen. But that
- 30:48Speaker 5: is the heart of God that is showing mercy and
- 30:53Speaker 5: showing his blessing. Amen. Verse twenty six. And they show
- 30:57Speaker 5: come from the cities of Judah, and from the places
- 31:01Speaker 5: around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, and from the lowland,
- 31:08Speaker 5: from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings
- 31:13Speaker 5: and sacrifices, grain offering and incense, bringing sacrifices of praise
- 31:20Speaker 5: to the House of the Lord. Amen. Now God describes
- 31:31Speaker 5: people coming from the surrounding regions of Jerusalem and at
- 31:37Speaker 5: this point, they would bring offering. They would bring burnt offerings, sacrifices,
- 31:43Speaker 5: grain offerings, incense, and thank offerings. This picture is a
- 31:52Speaker 5: picture of worship. Obedience should eventually lead us to worship.
- 31:59Speaker 5: When you understand what God has done for you, gratitude
- 32:04Speaker 5: should always follow. We should have a gratitude and appreciation,
- 32:09Speaker 5: and we should want to see God do it for others.
- 32:12Speaker 5: That's why it's important to support ministries. If we really
- 32:21Speaker 5: know what God has done for us, that should impact
- 32:26Speaker 5: and change our lives. We should only We shouldn't only
- 32:30Speaker 5: come to God when we need something. We should come
- 32:34Speaker 5: to God because He is worthy. Praise isn't just a
- 32:40Speaker 5: response to getting what we want. Praise is a response
- 32:45Speaker 5: of knowing who God is and being thankful for what
- 32:51Speaker 5: He has done. Amen. All right, let's close out this chapter. Amen.
- 33:00Speaker 5: Verse twenty seven. But if you will not heed me
- 33:06Speaker 5: to hollow the Sabbath day, such as not carrying a
- 33:10Speaker 5: burden when entering the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day,
- 33:15Speaker 5: then I will kindle a fire in this its gates,
- 33:21Speaker 5: and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it
- 33:27Speaker 5: shall not be quenched. Wow. So we have to in
- 33:35Speaker 5: the chapter. On that note, so it's just like that.
- 33:39Speaker 5: You know the question right, just like in the Book
- 33:42Speaker 5: of Deuteronomy, do you want the blessings of God or
- 33:46Speaker 5: do you want the curses? People have to understand that
- 33:50Speaker 5: there is a consequences to our actions and to our decisions.
- 33:57Speaker 5: And the Lord always says, choose life, life, Why choose death?
- 34:05Speaker 5: Hey man, On that note, let's take our break.
- 34:08Speaker 6: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 34:12Speaker 6: is the hiss Hop radio show.

- 35:06Speaker 7: rose to save us, make us want to go Whorah.
- 35:08Speaker 4: I just know that I ain't in debt it right?
- 35:10Speaker 2: Get credit bi big David, fuck my soul. Did everything

- 35:22Speaker 2: I got a big question. You ever knew real love?
- 35:25Speaker 2: I mean that unconditional no matter what, I forgive love.
- 35:28Speaker 2: If the ones with you knew your biggest secret, some
- 35:30Speaker 2: worst thoughts, would they still love who? God knows it
- 35:33Speaker 2: and still does because He don't change in the years.
- 35:35Speaker 4: Love real JENNI back on my head. I was lost,
- 35:38Speaker 4: I was dead, could be gone, but be dead.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Hey don't cross, but with Shad something like put my

- 35:45Speaker 4: I just put my faith in God like he said.

- 36:21Speaker 8: I can't beat on the beat without finger looking good
- 36:24Speaker 8: when you look at my life, that's Christ, not quite
- 36:25Speaker 8: like no, no, no, that year he lived up to

- 36:33Speaker 5: Let me be dead.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Heyd on cross, but with shad something like put my
- 36:37Speaker 2: faith in God like he said.
- 36:39Speaker 4: I just don't put my faith in God.
- 36:42Speaker 5: Like he said.

- 37:00Speaker 4: be at the botto I'm just trying to give me your.
- 37:02Speaker 6: Back in the crib.
- 37:03Speaker 4: And I was the one that was playing to run.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Out and got me a wife and the kid, and
- 37:06Speaker 2: Jesus gave.
- 37:07Speaker 4: Me where I needed. Or No, I don't go to
- 37:08Speaker 4: the world for a leg.
- 37:09Speaker 2: I don't need no favorites because my guy's still soult famous.
- 37:12Speaker 4: I don't need a couple of fans because I no
- 37:14Speaker 4: more yam and I ruler with the soat chases. Some
- 37:16Speaker 4: of these folks just won't face it. But it's all good.
- 37:18Speaker 4: We would all do with it for y'all. Could I
- 37:20Speaker 4: remember running through a small one. I'm seeking him and
- 37:22Speaker 4: we y'all should that changed.
- 37:24Speaker 2: But seeing the FI touch it, we'd make that real
- 37:27Speaker 2: wreck where it's name state Buzzy. They want to sustack
- 37:30Speaker 2: to the record without being hoy, it's not going to happen.
- 37:33Speaker 4: I'm proud of the phony.
- 37:33Speaker 5: IM done.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Was the practice to couple me. And so when somebody
- 37:36Speaker 4: to get that that we met her get back on
- 37:37Speaker 4: my head. I was lost.
- 37:39Speaker 2: I was dead, could be done, but we be dead.
- 37:41Speaker 2: They don't cross. But what said so like put my
- 37:44Speaker 2: faith in God? Like he said, I just don't put

- 38:26Speaker 5: All right, all right, we are back from the break
- 38:29Speaker 5: that is our brother in one of the generals in
- 38:31Speaker 5: this genre, dizzle and childlike CC busting kidting y'all with
- 38:39Speaker 5: that hot hh heat. I'm your brother missing his hot.
- 38:44Speaker 5: I don't want to give a huge shout out to
- 38:47Speaker 5: those in a life chat shout out to my brother's
- 38:49Speaker 5: Zone three with something my brother. Sorry, I can't get
- 38:53Speaker 5: on the call yesterday. I was actually at work and
- 38:56Speaker 5: I pulled into this particular site and my phone just
- 38:59Speaker 5: went dead, like I couldn't hear the podcast or nothing.
- 39:03Speaker 5: I couldn't make a call. I'm like, man, I had
- 39:07Speaker 5: to like hurry up and do what I had to
- 39:10Speaker 5: do so I can get out of there. But we
- 39:12Speaker 5: can definitely call today, my brother. If you want to
- 39:15Speaker 5: jump on a call, always look forward to that getting
- 39:20Speaker 5: that encouragement looking forward to chopping up with our brothers.
- 39:23Speaker 5: And yes, we do meet in the life Chat every day.
- 39:27Speaker 5: And then we used to do a call after every show,
- 39:32Speaker 5: and that's still available, especially if people need to get
- 39:35Speaker 5: ministered too and things like that. But we need to
- 39:39Speaker 5: know how many people would like to participate in a
- 39:43Speaker 5: quick call, and then we'll set up like a conference number,
- 39:48Speaker 5: but now we shorten it down to one day a week.
- 39:52Speaker 5: We'd make our calls on Monday, So let's say Monday
- 39:56Speaker 5: after the podcast, which would be eleven thirty. It's sure.
- 40:01Speaker 5: Sometimes it goes an hour, so let's just say twelve
- 40:03Speaker 5: o'clock ish specific standard time. Then we can meet you
- 40:08Speaker 5: on a conference call after we do this live chat,
- 40:12Speaker 5: because it's always good to encourage each other, to pray
- 40:15Speaker 5: for each other and you know, things like that. We're
- 40:18Speaker 5: definitely open for that. So shout out to my brother's
- 40:21Speaker 5: zone and everyone else logging into the life Chat. We
- 40:24Speaker 5: appreciate y'all. We're building an online community. We are the
- 40:29Speaker 5: one who have decided to take that narrow path, and
- 40:32Speaker 5: we're just this is your podcast. This is your radio station.
- 40:36Speaker 5: If you are a narrow path walker, this is your
- 40:41Speaker 5: time to tune in Amen, because we want to encourage
- 40:45Speaker 5: everyone to stay on that narrow path. And speaking of that,
- 40:51Speaker 5: it is time for the accountability partner. Here is today's challenge.
- 40:58Speaker 5: Ask your accountability partner, either call, texts or email them
- 41:03Speaker 5: and ask them this question. Is there something God has
- 41:06Speaker 5: told me to change that I keep putting off? Now?
- 41:13Speaker 5: Don't give yourself an easy answer. Really think about it,
- 41:19Speaker 5: and then ask your accountability partner to pray with you
- 41:22Speaker 5: about this. Listen to the Holy Spirit when he speaks.
- 41:29Speaker 5: That's how we're going to change and shift. I actually
- 41:35Speaker 5: had to. I prayed. I ask God to show me
- 41:38Speaker 5: my heart, you know, because I don't want to be deceived, right,
- 41:42Speaker 5: I don't want to go before the throne and he'd
- 41:46Speaker 5: be like, I never knew you. You know. We always
- 41:48Speaker 5: need to check our hearts and if anything else. From
- 41:52Speaker 5: the Book of Jeremiah, we need to learn that our
- 41:54Speaker 5: hearts are evil, desperately wicked. Who can know? It? Should
- 42:00Speaker 5: be God's search my heart, show me if there's any
- 42:03Speaker 5: we could weigh in me and then show it to
- 42:06Speaker 5: me so that I could repent. And I had to repent.
- 42:09Speaker 5: From the Bible says you cannot serve God and money
- 42:14Speaker 5: you cannot serve two masters. And I didn't know. I
- 42:18Speaker 5: started allowing money to be a cruel task master in
- 42:21Speaker 5: my life. I started worrying about bills. I started trying
- 42:26Speaker 5: to figure out how this is gonna happen and that
- 42:28Speaker 5: is gonna happen, instead of just giving it over to God,
- 42:31Speaker 5: instead of just being obedient to the word concerning finances,
- 42:37Speaker 5: I'm here trying to control things, you know what I mean,
- 42:41Speaker 5: put things on my own efforts. And it's like it's
- 42:44Speaker 5: getting worse, you know what I'm saying. And so God
- 42:48Speaker 5: had to, you know, open up the hood and show
- 42:52Speaker 5: me me and so it's good and man, and when
- 42:56Speaker 5: God does that, we need to repent. And I'm grateful. Amen.
- 43:03Speaker 5: So yeah, keep me in prayer, beloved. My accountability people
- 43:07Speaker 5: out there, we also want to let you know that

- 48:52Speaker 5: page and you can read about it and get more information.
- 48:57Speaker 5: And with that, so we'll let you know that His
- 49:00Speaker 5: Top Nation is a nonprofit organization of five to oh
- 49:04Speaker 5: one c three. We are looking for a monthly supporters, donors, volunteers, grants,
- 49:11Speaker 5: grant writers, supporters and sponsors. And the great thing about
- 49:17Speaker 5: it it is all tax deductible. We are a public
- 49:20Speaker 5: charity and if you are like to support us and
- 49:25Speaker 5: get a tax right off at the same time, that
- 49:28Speaker 5: could be the difference between you owen or you getting
- 49:31Speaker 5: a return. You know what I mean. Some people are
- 49:33Speaker 5: looking for tax right off, so you can do that
- 49:36Speaker 5: over here and good good ground. We are trying to
- 49:39Speaker 5: relaunch Club His Hop Las Vegas. We are looking for
- 49:42Speaker 5: another building, a location, a place to have our classes
- 49:46Speaker 5: and to do our programs. We have an awesome program
- 49:50Speaker 5: on our nonprofit side. Invite you to check that out.
- 49:54Speaker 5: Go to his Hotnation dot org to see all the
- 49:59Speaker 5: stuff he got going on that side as well. And Man,
- 50:06Speaker 5: and with that, I got some closing remarks. As we
- 50:11Speaker 5: close out, we finish our whole chapter Jeremiah chapter seventeen.
- 50:17Speaker 5: Praise God every time we progress, and we go through
- 50:20Speaker 5: chapter through chapter, it's a great victory. And so from
- 50:26Speaker 5: this chapter we see Jeremiah send up a personal prayer
- 50:32Speaker 5: of healing, and we also see the nation get worn
- 50:41Speaker 5: because of their disobedience. Now Jeremiah is hurting because the
- 50:49Speaker 5: people are persecuting him. He's being criticized and he's being questioned,
- 50:55Speaker 5: and all he's doing is he's just trying to stay
- 50:58Speaker 5: faithful to the call of God on his life. Amen.
- 51:02Speaker 5: But our brother does not give up. Right, He says,
- 51:06Speaker 5: thou art my hope in the day of evil. God
- 51:10Speaker 5: tells him to stand at the gate and to deliver
- 51:15Speaker 5: a difficult message as well. He talks about the Sabbath.
- 51:19Speaker 5: He talks about those who come in and come out
- 51:22Speaker 5: of this gate. If they were to keep the Sabbath,
- 51:26Speaker 5: then God promised that that city would have remained forever.
- 51:30Speaker 5: And now when God speaks, we need to take heed, right,
- 51:35Speaker 5: We need to play close attention. Because he used the
- 51:40Speaker 5: word forever. Imagine, Jerusalem did not have to be destroyed.
- 51:46Speaker 5: He said that city would have stayed forever if they
- 51:49Speaker 5: just would have been obedience. Now we can apply that
- 51:53Speaker 5: to our lives. What did we lose that was supposed
- 51:58Speaker 5: to remain forever? What was God's intention? What did God
- 52:05Speaker 5: intend for us to have, or to be, or to
- 52:08Speaker 5: do that would have remained forever if we would have
- 52:12Speaker 5: just remained obedience? Amen, if we just would have fulfilled
- 52:19Speaker 5: the requirements that He was asking of us. All right,
- 52:27Speaker 5: belove it well. Thank you for spending time with us
- 52:30Speaker 5: here on the podcast. Once again, shout out to our
- 52:33Speaker 5: brother Jabreel and Tamika. Thank you for shouting us out
- 52:38Speaker 5: at the High Seed meeting last night. Big shout out
- 52:42Speaker 5: to Fresh Wind and Pastor and Lady K. We love y'all,
- 52:46Speaker 5: We appreciate y'all, and remember it's not about us, It's
- 52:49Speaker 5: all about the Christ in us. God bless y'all. Mm hmmm.

- 53:09Speaker 6: is the Hiss Hop Radio Show.
