  You think you're losing something when you give, but

  upgraded thinking knows some things only increase when

  shared. Here's the story.

  In 1945, a Mary Noel priest named Father James Keller

  founded the Christophers. Their motto is simple.

  It's better to light 1 candle than to curse the darkness.

  Father Keller said something even better.

  A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.

  Suppose I have a dollar and you have a dollar and we exchange

  A dollar works one way. If you give it away, it's gone.

  Subtractors think everything works like a dollar.

  They hoard the idea. They guard the credit.

  They hold back the encouragement as if there were only so much to

  go around. Adders know better.

  Some things don't leave you when you share them.

  They grow. Ideas grow.

  Give someone an idea and you still have it.

  And now two people are working on it.

  Energy grows. You can energize yourself by

  energizing others. Credit grows.

  The best way to get credit is to try to give it away.

  The people you hand out the credit, the people who hand out

  the credit, are the people everyone wants on the team.

  When you give it away, you get it back.

  Now you can't do everything. Nobody can.
