[SPEAKER_01]: So often our plans symbolize control.
0:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Giving up control of our life's direction can be scary and feel unsafe.
0:19
[SPEAKER_01]: But this is all part of growing in trust in our Heavenly Father.
0:24
[SPEAKER_01]: As we continue in that direction today, may you feel encouraged and motivated to place your plans in the hands of a capable trust worthy father who has your best interest in mind always.
0:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the first 15 podcast.
1:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Our Scripture for today comes from Proverbs chapter 19 verse 21, Scripture says, many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
1:22
[SPEAKER_01]: our plans are one of the areas of life in which it can be most difficult to trust God.
1:30
[SPEAKER_01]: So often, we look within ourselves to discover desires and ambitions and form plans based solely on our understanding and limited perspective.
1:42
[SPEAKER_01]: We place the weight of planning our lives squarely on our own shoulders and settle for a life filled with pressure and failure.
1:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Our Heavenly Father is speaking over his children his great desire to guide us.
2:02
[SPEAKER_01]: He longs to share his wonderful plans with us that will satisfy the deepest desires of our hearts and help us store up bound to full treasure in heaven with him.
2:16
[SPEAKER_01]: James chapter 4 verses 13 through 15, illustrates the necessity of looking to God for our plans.
2:25
[SPEAKER_01]: Scripture says, Come now, you who say, today or tomorrow, we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit.
2:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Yet, you do not know what tomorrow will bring.
2:42
[SPEAKER_01]: What is your life for you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes?
2:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Instead, you ought to say, if the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.
2:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Why do we look to ourselves when we do not know what tomorrow will bring?
3:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Why do we look to our own will when our Heavenly Father longs to share His perfect will with us?
3:14
[SPEAKER_01]: For some of us, we simply don't know that God wants to reveal His plans to us.
3:21
[SPEAKER_01]: So many believers are living without the revelation of all that's available to them through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
3:32
[SPEAKER_01]: No today, God's heart for you,
3:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Romans 12 2 commands, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.
3:46
[SPEAKER_01]: That by testing, you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable in perfect.
3:57
[SPEAKER_01]: you can discern the will of God.
4:00
[SPEAKER_01]: You can know His plans for you.
4:05
[SPEAKER_01]: He is a good father who longs to shepherd you into the greater things of this life.
4:14
[SPEAKER_01]: For others of us that know God wants to share His plans with us,
4:18
[SPEAKER_01]: We fail to look for or follow His leadership because somewhere in our hearts, we doubt that He will truly give us the best life.
4:29
[SPEAKER_01]: We look at the lives of other believers and decide, we'll have more fun if we go our own way.
4:37
[SPEAKER_01]: So often, we as Christians have not exhibited to others a lifestyle of being fully satisfied in God and His plans.
4:48
[SPEAKER_01]: We exhibit a lukewarm faith, where we neither experience the fullness of God or what the world has to offer.
4:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And as a result, our lives are lived without passion, joy, or abundance in any form.
5:06
[SPEAKER_01]: the truth of God's heart for you and me today is that He has perfect pleasing plans for us that He longs to reveal.
5:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Proverbs 3 verses 5 through 6 says, trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make
5:33
[SPEAKER_01]: God longs to make straight the paths laid before you.
5:38
[SPEAKER_01]: He longs to guide you into greater and greater things in every season.
5:44
[SPEAKER_01]: He knows what lies ahead of you.
5:47
[SPEAKER_01]: He knows opportunities and roadblocks that are coming your way.
5:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And he is the good shepherd who will lead you into the fullness of life available to you this side of heaven.
6:00
[SPEAKER_01]: May you trust your loving Heavenly Father with your plans and experience His leadership in every decision you face today.

7:46
[SPEAKER_01]: next.

[SPEAKER_01]: What keeps you from trusting God with your plans?
7:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you look to yourself to plan your own way?
7:58
[SPEAKER_01]: James 4 verses 13 through 15 says, come now, you who say, today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring,
8:16
[SPEAKER_01]: What is your life for you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes?

10:30
[SPEAKER_01]: God is more concerned about the state of your heart than the work of your hands.
10:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Romans 1417 says, for the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness and peace, enjoy in the Holy Spirit.
10:50
