- 0:00Dot com. Welcome to the Daily quote, the
- 0:07podcast designed to kick start your day in a positive way.
- 0:11I'm your host, Andrew McGivern, and this episode is brought to
- 0:14you by the great News podcast. Why would you listen?
- 0:18Because good news should be heard and it's available where
- 0:21all great podcasts are found. And I've also left a link in the
- 0:25show notes. Today's quote comes from Albert
- 0:28Hubbard, who famously wrote, The greatest mistake you can make in
- 0:33life is to be continually fearing that you will make one.
- 0:38This hits on a truth we've explored many times here on this
- 0:42podcast, the idea that fear of failure is often more damaging
- 0:47than failure itself. When you are constantly afraid
- 0:51of making a mistake, you aren't just being cautious, you are
- 0:55unconsciously engineering a way not to win.
- 0:59Think about how many times you've stayed in the planning or
- 1:02researching phase because the idea of getting it wrong felt
- 1:07too risky. We tell ourselves we're
- 1:10preparing, but as Pablo Picasso noted, action is the
- 1:15foundational key to all success. If your foundation is built on
- 1:19fear instead of action, nothing of substance can be built.
- 1:25Mistakes are not detours from your growth, they are your
- 1:30growth. Working through a mistake gives
- 1:33you a depth and a resilience that you simply cannot
- 1:36manufacture. By staying safe.
- 1:39You don't need a perfect plan to move forward, you just need to
- 1:43stop sabotaging yourself before you've even begun.
- 1:48If you're feeling stuck today because you're worried about the
- 1:52what ifs, remember that the direction is more important than
- 1:56the pace. You don't have to leap into the
- 2:00unknown with total confidence. Tiptoe if you must, but take a
- 2:05step. So here's the question.
- 2:09What have you been avoiding lately because you're afraid to
- 2:13make a mistake? What if you decided that the
- 2:17mistake is actually the fuel you need for your next victory?
- 2:24That's going to do it for today. I'm Andrew McGivern, signing off
- 2:28for now, but I'll be back tomorrow.
- 2:33Same pod time, same pod station with another daily quote.
