- 0:19updates nfc north we're here with rob and jake
- 0:23and smeltzy and kev to talk nfc north football
- 0:29Preseason edition. At the Nordic Lodge. There
- 0:33it is. At the Nordic Lodge. Oh, you already know
- 0:37what it is. Let's start. Excuse me. Jeez, that's
- 0:40the second episode I'm starting while coughing.
- 0:43Okay. Let's start with the Chicago Bears. The
- 0:47Bears. Screw it. The Bears. Last place? Why not?
- 0:51When? Really? This season? You think so? In the
- 0:54North, huh? Explain. Do tell. No, I don't think
- 0:58that. I think they're probably going to be finishing
- 1:03second or third in this division. And the Vikings,
- 1:09naturally. I like everything that, you know,
- 1:11obviously the Chicago Bears are doing right now.
- 1:15We'll see another year. They had a lot of games
- 1:17last year where it was last second. It was one
- 1:19score. They could have won either way. They could
- 1:22have been just as easily 7 -10 as whatever they
- 1:25finished last year. 11 -12 wins? 11. 11 -6. So...
- 1:31What? I mean, I like it generally every direction
- 1:38they're going. Defensively, they're solid. Yeah,
- 1:43I think that's probably... You guys are goofballs.
- 1:47Sorry. About ten. Ten wins. Ten wins? About ten.
- 1:51Right on. Ten wins for the Bears. Or nine. The
- 1:55Bears. Where does that end up putting that? You
- 1:57said second or third. Second or third. It's going
- 1:59to be a close one. It's going to be a battle.
- 2:01Right on. Battle. As much as I... Oh, man. I
- 2:09don't know. They lost. I mean, losing D .J. Moore
- 2:13feels big for their offense specifically. Roma
- 2:17Dunzay has been kind of. It's his time to shine.
- 2:20I mean, this is the time now at this point. I
- 2:23do like Luther Bird a little bit. They do got
- 2:28a couple of good tight ends there. So, I mean.
- 2:32I mean, we know what their defense can do, which
- 2:36really wasn't that great last year, but I think
- 2:39they'll turn it around this year. Yeah, they
- 2:41lost Bird is really the only person they lost,
- 2:45really. And Moore. Brisker. And Brisker. So they
- 2:49lost their starting safeties. But again, they
- 2:51weren't great last year, so I think it'll be
- 2:53different. We'll see what they can come out with
- 2:55this year with a couple new faces there. I think
- 2:59they're going to be closer to that. You said
- 3:0110 wins? Yeah. And they did draft, what's his
- 3:05name on Oregon that we were looking at? Dylan
- 3:07Thienemann. Oh, yeah, at safety. Yeah. We did
- 3:11like him, didn't we, in Minnesota. I think the
- 3:14Bears are going to kind of do the same thing.
- 3:17I think 11 and 6, I think they could win the
- 3:19division again with that. But it will be a close
- 3:24battle again this year, like you're saying. Excuse
- 3:27me. What's your vibe with the Bears this year,
- 3:31Jake? Not from State Farm. I like where they're
- 3:34going. I like their direction. I have a concern
- 3:37about their wide receiver group, but they picked
- 3:40up Khalif Raymond. I think he's going to be more
- 3:43of a trick plays, special teams kind of player,
- 3:48but he's still going to be a very dynamic addition
- 3:51to that Ben Johnson. offense that he wants to
- 3:55run. Hell of a returner, too. They've got two
- 3:59really great tight ends. Ben Johnson loves running
- 4:02two tight end sets. You're going to see a whole
- 4:04bunch of that. I actually really like their O
- 4:06-line, too. Do you feel like the NFL in general
- 4:09is doing a lot of 12 tight ends? That's the current
- 4:12direction right now? Yeah. I think it's really
- 4:17more that because fullback is such a... such
- 4:21a niche position a lot of teams don't really
- 4:25carry a fullback so they carry an extra extra
- 4:27tight end to be a pseudo um what so what they
- 4:35picked uh so yeah as far as like retooling the
- 4:38safeties because they lost both their safeties
- 4:40they draft uh thenaman they signed kobe bryant
- 4:43from the seahawks I think they're sitting pretty
- 4:48well. I want to continue to see Caleb Williams
- 4:52grow and develop as a quarterback. I love his
- 4:54playmaking ability. Dunzey and Burden, they've
- 5:00got to show up. more and better than they are.
- 5:06I think that that's probably their weakest spot.
- 5:09I love that running back tandem. I loved it all
- 5:12last year. I know he's a little nicked up right
- 5:16now, but the two of them together, they're going
- 5:20to continue to wreak havoc. I love it. I just
- 5:28question whether or not the corners are going
- 5:30to be able to hold up for him. Really, what kept
- 5:33him in the games is they led the league in turnovers,
- 5:36and that's what kept him in the games. I don't
- 5:40know if they'll be able to repeat that this year.
- 5:42Same as Caleb Williams. Can he keep that up as
- 5:44well on his end of it? Yeah, that's a good question.
- 5:49I think he's more apt to do that. than their
- 5:55secondary i still think they're going to win
- 5:57the division with 11 wins i don't see them getting
- 6:01more wins i don't see him losing any more games
- 6:04and and that team as a whole i think is bought
- 6:07into ben johnson and his energy and his philosophy
- 6:10um he might have bitten off a little bit more
- 6:14than he can chew when he said he wants shutouts
- 6:16and blowouts but i mean e for effort yeah so
- 6:22i I think it's going to be the Bears. Okay. All
- 6:29right. Well. It's bull crap. Let's move on to
- 6:35the Lions. Has been restored, I guess. Apparently.
- 6:44Nine and eight last year. We're all kind of saying
- 6:47the Bears are going to be. Do you say 10 or 11?
- 6:49You said 10, I think. Yeah, 10, 11. So we're
- 6:53saying 10, 11 might win the division. Lions came
- 6:56in at 9 -8 last year. Do you see them challenging
- 6:59for that division win at all, or are they kind
- 7:03of going to stick to that 9 -8, 8 -9 situation?
- 7:07Because at least defensively, they seem like
- 7:09they're still trying to figure some things out,
- 7:11and they did not add a whole lot there. So I
- 7:15definitely have some concerns for them defensively,
- 7:17especially in the secondary. I have concerns
- 7:19for them offensively, too. I think that they've
- 7:21regressed. Okay. Well, losing Montgomery, I mean,
- 7:25I feel like it's actually going to be bigger
- 7:27than they think. Right. Because, like, Gibbs
- 7:32is a very dynamic running back. But I think what
- 7:36made him better was having Montgomery, having
- 7:39that change of pace, having that bruiser. And
- 7:43they're going to miss that. Pacheco is going
- 7:47to do okay in that role. And I've always felt
- 7:50like Pacheco is a very tough runner. Runs for
- 7:54hard yards. He'll be a very serviceable short
- 7:58yardage back for him. But he's not going to be
- 8:01like David Montgomery type where he's going to
- 8:04like... run and bowl over two people for five
- 8:07yards, like, over and over and over again. So
- 8:11I think that that's going to be the biggest thing
- 8:14that they're going to miss. On the defensive
- 8:17side, they've lost a lot of pieces. We talk about
- 8:19that one player that makes the defense or offense
- 8:23go burr. I think that's Alex Anzalone. As far
- 8:27as, like, the energy in his playmaking, they're
- 8:29going to really miss that. He was solid for them.
- 8:33You could tell when he got hurt last year that
- 8:36they definitely missed him. Yeah. So, I mean,
- 8:40I think they're lucky if they stay at nine and
- 8:42eight. Honestly, they might regress. They might
- 8:45go sub 500. And then you might start hearing
- 8:47conversations about Dan Campbell's job. You hear
- 8:51a fierce on gridiron updates. Campbell's on the
- 8:53hot seat. I wouldn't say hot, but it's warm.
- 8:57I think it'll be warming up a little bit. Probably
- 9:00stand up, turn around, check it out. Yeah. Right
- 9:02on. Defrost. See where that's coming from. That's
- 9:04right. Yeah. Right on. Right on. Right on. I'm
- 9:07going the other direction. I think this is the
- 9:09Lions division this year. I think a Hutchinson's
- 9:14going to be back. He's. He was out last year.
- 9:17That defense drastically went in. As Tony went
- 9:20down, the D -tackle, McLean, or I'm trying to
- 9:25think of it, McNeil. McNeil. And I think Pacheco
- 9:31actually adds another element to it. Now you
- 9:33have two really dynamic running backs in a different
- 9:36way. Yeah, you lose the ground and pound. But
- 9:39we'll see with also the dynamics of also having
- 9:42two really good receivers on that team. So it
- 9:46creates a lot of one -on -one matchups. And also
- 9:48they still have Sam Laporta, too, in the middle.
- 9:51Defensively is definitely where it's going to
- 9:53be their game share. I think that really was
- 9:56a drastically thorn in their side last year,
- 9:59why they end up 9 -8. But I still think they
- 10:02have a lot of it. I really do like their first
- 10:05-round draft pick that they got, that Blake Miller,
- 10:07because they were missing. Isn't the guy that
- 10:09retired at the beginning of preseason last year,
- 10:12out of the blue, one of their offensive linemen?
- 10:14Oh, I think so. So I think last year, this had
- 10:18a lot of real goofy things. And then when Touch
- 10:21went down in the second half of the season, it
- 10:24really fell off the map. But I think they'll
- 10:27get 11 wins this year. 11 wins? Yes. For the
- 10:33Detroit Lions. And Vegas actually has them winning
- 10:37the division. Do they? What do they have them
- 10:39at for? 11 wins? 11. Right on. Right on. Well.
- 10:47Before you guys went on, I think I said something
- 10:49about 8 -9, 9 -8, something like that, and I
- 10:51think they're going to be right there again.
- 10:54I think it's that defense for me, man. I just
- 10:58have so many issues with it. I think the front
- 11:01four are okay and serviceable, and I like Malcolm
- 11:05Rodriguez a bit too, but I feel like he might
- 11:08have took a step back slightly. But it'll be
- 11:12different with Aiden Hutchinson, like you're
- 11:13saying. We'll see kind of what they look like
- 11:15with a healthy Aiden Hutchinson to start the
- 11:17season. But he's got to stay healthy. I mean,
- 11:21he has to stay healthy. And so far, yeah, hasn't
- 11:25been able to. Something about Michigan players
- 11:27not being able to stay healthy. But, yeah, anyway.
- 11:32Is that a J .J. Wolf thing right there? No, I
- 11:35don't know. What are you talking about? Yeah,
- 11:38anyway. Let's talk about the Green Bay Packers.
- 11:429 -7 -1 last year. Let us know. Yeah, you go
- 11:48first. Yeah, I should go first. Yeah, rip now.
- 11:51Write me out. Write me out. Well, their receiving
- 11:56room changed slightly with a couple guys departing,
- 11:59but you still have Jaden Reed there, which has
- 12:01been kind of the better out of all of them. including
- 12:05even Christian Watson at times, Matthew Golden.
- 12:08I'd like to see him get involved in the offense
- 12:10a little bit more, kind of unlock his potential.
- 12:14He kind of seems like he could maybe be that
- 12:16gadget type of player as well for them. I mean,
- 12:19rumor, big elephant in the room, Josh Jacobs.
- 12:23I mean, who knows? It's a big elephant. When
- 12:25is he going to actually play? Is he going to
- 12:27play this year? We don't know. So they got Marshawn
- 12:31Lloyd as their backup. who's serviceable, but
- 12:35he's not Josh Jacobs by any way, shape, or form.
- 12:38I'm not drafting him in fantasy. I love that.
- 12:40They traded him for somebody today, but again,
- 12:43nobody insane. Needle moving. If Tucker Craft
- 12:46can start the season, I think that's massive
- 12:48for them. Jordan loves Tucker Craft big time.
- 12:53But 9 -7 -1. And you're not going to have Micah
- 12:59Parsons for the first four games? That's massive.
- 13:01At least four. Do they play Dallas game five?
- 13:06Is that the big deal here? They don't play Dallas
- 13:09until week six, so he could miss that Chicago
- 13:11game too. But I think no matter what, he really
- 13:13wants to play the Dallas game, of course. That's
- 13:19a really tough player to not have on your team.
- 13:25we witnessed how dynamic that deep or how much
- 13:30more dynamic the defense was with him on the
- 13:32field versus off of the, like not on the field
- 13:34because of the injury or whatever, like, and
- 13:37losing Rashawn Gary. Yeah, absolutely. Like,
- 13:40cause Rashawn Gary was able to like play lights
- 13:43out when he had a partner in crime, like on the
- 13:46other side, taking some of the heat off of them.
- 13:49Uh, so your first four games without like, an
- 13:54elite pass rusher like i'm gonna be worried about
- 13:57that out of the gates and that's tough that's
- 14:00tough to probably recover from well ravens tried
- 14:03to and couldn't go on like one in five last year.
- 14:07We tried. I love the addition of Zaire Franklin.
- 14:11Not as a Vikings fan, but as a football fan,
- 14:13I love that addition. Dude just eats up tackles
- 14:16all the time. That's huge for them, too. When
- 14:18Micah does come back, I'd like to see that combo.
- 14:22They added Javon Hargrave as well. We know about
- 14:25him. Another little stint. It was okay. Big body.
- 14:30Yeah, when I was driving in this today, the east
- 14:33wind was coming in, and it was like some cheese
- 14:36was left out, not the type that you want, the
- 14:39stinky cheese. But I don't know what happened
- 14:41over the summer over in Green Bay, but I'm not
- 14:44liking anything coming out of there. Jacobs.
- 14:47losing him. For them, it's all about how they
- 14:50start. Jacobs is not playing. You don't have
- 14:53Micah starting. You don't have Gary starting.
- 14:56They retooled the secondary with a bunch of draft
- 14:58picks, so they're young. I'm just not vibing
- 15:03right now. I think this is the last place team
- 15:06in this division. Unless they can survive the
- 15:11beginning half and get Micah back and maybe serviceable
- 15:15Jacobs. I don't care what the receivers are.
- 15:18If they're not running the ball, depending on
- 15:20love, they'll throw the ball. Kraft, we'll see
- 15:23how he comes back from last year's injury. I
- 15:25don't know if he's going to be the same. I agree.
- 15:28He helps. We all know. We don't know until we
- 15:33know, right? That's right. And Jordan Love has
- 15:34to stay healthy, too. He's been nicked up. And
- 15:37you've had Malik Willis step in over the course
- 15:40of the past two years playing games in his stead.
- 15:42And now you've got Tyrod Taylor instead, who
- 15:44is a very knowledgeable veteran. But, I mean,
- 15:48is Tyrod going to be enough? I love Tyrod Taylor.
- 15:52I know. Yeah. He's a journeyman. Yeah. Been stabbed
- 15:55in the lung. You know, no big deal. Yeah. But
- 15:58then they lost. They lost. He lost Jenkins. He
- 15:59lost Walker off the offensive line. Like, there's
- 16:02just a, like, there's not a lot that, you know,
- 16:06if Jacobs is playing, like, nothing happens with
- 16:08Jacobs, then my view is a little bit maybe different.
- 16:11Sure. But you lose a bell call like that off
- 16:13your offense, it's hard to replace. Yeah. And
- 16:16make that offense effective. And then defensively
- 16:19without. Micah for the first four minimum. Maybe
- 16:23more. What are we really expecting out of that
- 16:26defense to hold them in the game if they can't
- 16:29run the ball on offense? Nixon's still one of
- 16:30your number one corners. I'm not big on him.
- 16:37Before all this happened, I was liking the Packers
- 16:39a lot more. But as the summer turned on and that
- 16:41cheese got left out. Do you think Josh Jacobs
- 16:44is worth four wins to you? Like if he was healthy?
- 16:47Well, as I'm saying, if he doesn't play and they
- 16:50start off, say, two and five or something like
- 16:53that. And then Mike, then they almost, you know,
- 16:56starting to almost not to win out. Yeah. To get
- 16:59into the playoffs, you know. And a tough division,
- 17:02too. You're going to have to play the Packers,
- 17:04the Lions and the Vikings. Bears, you know, so,
- 17:08like, it's a battle. It's going to be tough for
- 17:11them. So, yeah, it's not looking good right now
- 17:15for the Packers. No good. No good. What's your
- 17:20official record, baby? I mean, I'm going. I went
- 17:24six. You went what? I didn't say a number, but
- 17:26I would probably say seven. I'm going to go seven.
- 17:30I mean, if they start off hot, I can maybe see
- 17:33them going to nine. and survive through the injuries
- 17:36and the court battles. Yeah. Yeah. All right.
- 17:41Well, I don't see him getting better. Yeah. Fair
- 17:44enough. Let us end the episode with our Minnesota
- 17:48Vikings. Go to the ball. Vikings. Yeah. You know
- 17:54where they add on the list. Like it's all the
- 17:56way there on the second page, the regular purple
- 17:58team. We're back. We are back. Who's your quarterback?
- 18:04With quite possibly one of the worst passing
- 18:07attacks in the league. But that might have changed
- 18:10with Kyler Murray coming to town. So, obviously,
- 18:13that's probably the biggest news is what is he
- 18:15going to do? That is the biggest news. What is
- 18:18he going to do? Justin Jefferson, one of the
- 18:20top five receivers in the league, barely eclipsed
- 18:241 ,000 yards last year. He missed a couple games.
- 18:27Barely making it over that threshold. That seems
- 18:29to be the biggest deal. Not from him, not from
- 18:32Jettas, because, you know, team player, team
- 18:34leader. But Kyler Murray coming in, like, you
- 18:37got to get Justin Jefferson the ball, no? As,
- 18:39like, an outside Vikings fan looking in, like,
- 18:41that's the guy you got to get the ball. You have
- 18:43to, but Kyler Murray also had to get Marvin Harrison
- 18:45Jr. the ball, and he didn't do that. See how
- 18:47many drops that cat's had during camp? Yeah.
- 18:50But you're always going to handpick. But none
- 18:52of those are from Kyler. That's right, exactly.
- 18:57But, I mean, Kyler's got to get the ball into
- 19:00the player's hands. I mean, there's only, I mean,
- 19:04Justin Jefferson's a great wide receiver. And
- 19:06there's so much that he can do as far as getting
- 19:10open and obviously catching the ball when it's
- 19:13thrown in his general area. Like, because there's
- 19:16wide receivers out there that make quarterbacks
- 19:18look good. Um, they exist. I think Justin Jefferson
- 19:21is, or can be one of them. Uh, but I, I questioned
- 19:25Kyler Murray's ability to get the ball there.
- 19:27Um, it just can't see or what? Yeah. Get him
- 19:34stilts maybe. Um, I think he just, it's all what
- 19:39I've seen. It's, it's a lot of five and seven
- 19:42step step runs backwards. It feels like his feet
- 19:45are moving so quick. because he's shorter and
- 19:48he just ends up having to take more steps. But
- 19:51then he's looking at one or two in his reads,
- 19:55and then I don't know if it's a pressures thing
- 19:59where he's running out of time or he feels where
- 20:01he's under pressure, and now all of a sudden
- 20:02he's rolling out, and then he's looking for something
- 20:04else downfield where he's not going through his
- 20:07full progressions. Maybe KFC can change that.
- 20:11Is KFC the quarterback whisperer? Is he? I don't
- 20:15know. I think there's starting to be some questions
- 20:17about that. Well, I don't question whether or
- 20:20not he's a quarterback whisperer. I question
- 20:22whether or not he may be the head coach of the
- 20:24Minnesota Vikings after this year. His seat's
- 20:26getting warmer. I think his seat is warm, bordering
- 20:32on hot. I think it really depends on how the
- 20:37season turns out, regardless of who the quarterback
- 20:39ends up being, whether it ends up being Kyler,
- 20:42and then he gets hurt, and then we're back to
- 20:44JJ. Nine? Nine. Or you're sticking with Kyler.
- 20:50Carson's here. Yeah. That's true. We're deep.
- 20:53They kept four quarterbacks, though. You know
- 20:55that? No, I did see that they had re -signed
- 20:58Carson Wentz, and I'm like, why would they do
- 21:00that? 100%. I would have re -signed Carson Wentz,
- 21:02too. Community guy. Yeah, yeah. He's a good guy.
- 21:05Good guy. I know him. I just like the quarterback
- 21:11carousel between those two. I don't know if I
- 21:15can buy into it just yet. And then you've got
- 21:17an aging Aaron Jones. A running game is a quarterback's
- 21:23best friend. I don't like anything you're saying
- 21:25right now. I don't see the Vikings over nine
- 21:31wins this year. I think that there's regression.
- 21:36I'd gladly eat my words for you, but it's not
- 21:45good. Maybe eight wins if they're lucky. We've
- 21:48got Roberto. Ceiling's eight. You're thinking
- 21:50about seven? I mean, the elephant in the room
- 21:55is obviously how Kyler plays. Like you said,
- 22:00down in Arizona, very inconsistent. Dependent
- 22:04on his feet, always wanted to be the play player.
- 22:07Arguably, probably Texas high school's best quarterback
- 22:11ever. He's got all the... Obviously, height is
- 22:16an issue with him. So whether we can get a little
- 22:21less Kyler, a little less Kyler, and let the
- 22:25playmakers do it, I think then we can succeed.
- 22:30Aaron Jones, yeah, he's aging. We'll get nine
- 22:33solid games. I really like we still have Mason
- 22:36behind him. The offense feels different when
- 22:39Aaron Jones is in the game. Agreed. He's just
- 22:41got a little spark to him. I love our offensive
- 22:44line. Of course. Can they stay healthy? What?
- 22:47Can they stay healthy? Great question. I mean,
- 22:49these are concerns about every team, you know.
- 22:51I mean, true. But arguably, we probably have
- 22:53a top ten offensive line. You know, center is
- 22:56our biggest issue. We'll see how Brando plays
- 22:58there. Defensively, are we going to get the same
- 23:03high -end defense last year? Because we have
- 23:06two rookies in the middle now with Banks and
- 23:09Big Orange. We lost Allen and Hargrave last year,
- 23:14two vets that really helped communicate that
- 23:17defense line and everything. So we're going to
- 23:19get a little... The Flores defense is, I think,
- 23:22my biggest thing that I want to see, whether
- 23:24we regress there. I still think we have enough
- 23:29skill set. I like still on offense. I think Kyler,
- 23:32if he gets it running, I think we can get our
- 23:3410 wins and finish second in the division. Right
- 23:38on. I think repeating defensively that well is
- 23:44tough with any team, being a top -five defense
- 23:47year after year after year. It's got to be tough
- 23:50to do, but I do think we have the pieces to do
- 23:54it. Yeah, of course it's going to be on Kyler
- 23:58Murray's arms or shoulders on the offensive side
- 24:02of the ball. I mean, arguably the most athletic
- 24:04quarterback the Vikings have probably ever had.
- 24:07So I'm curious, or at least for a while, at least
- 24:12since maybe rookie Dante or something, but just
- 24:15curious to see how well he can extend the play
- 24:18when it does break down and how Jetta's in. Jordan
- 24:23Addison, too, can adjust to that. I think Addison
- 24:27somehow slips through a lot of defenses when
- 24:30the play gets extended and can be a big -time
- 24:34downfield threat more so than Jetta's. I think
- 24:37Jetta's just runs cleaner routes and can get
- 24:39such nasty separation. If it's one -on -one,
- 24:44I mean, that's your number one read every time.
- 24:47But Addison's sneaky fast, and I think he will
- 24:51earn a big contract probably not here due to
- 24:55it. And Jennings. I love the addition of Jawan
- 24:59Jennings. I mean, get a screen out there behind
- 25:02him, and he's going to be. It just adds a lot
- 25:04of depth there, you know, just if one of our
- 25:07other two go down. That was the best, I think,
- 25:11signing for the Vikings this year. I mean, I
- 25:13guess you could say Kyler because he's our starting
- 25:16quarterback. But, yeah, it's up the middle that
- 25:19scares me the most, you know, with the rookies,
- 25:21you know, because the NFL is a tough up the middle
- 25:24thing. But were you going to throw a number out
- 25:27there? Yeah. Vikings fans. Listen up. Probably
- 25:358 and 9. Oh, ouch. I really want them. I was
- 25:40thinking you were going to be like, oh, they're
- 25:42going to be a 10 -win team. No, I really want
- 25:45them to do well, but I just. So you're expecting
- 25:48Kyler to fail is what you're saying at the 8
- 25:50-9? I don't know. It's a safe bet. I don't know.
- 25:54You're going safe. As a fan, I want to say, like,
- 25:57oh, yeah, 12 win, Kyler Murray's the answer.
- 25:59They're going to end up paying him because they're
- 26:01salty about Sam Darnold. The Wilfs want to win
- 26:04a Super Bowl bad because I think they want to
- 26:05sell and be done. So I think they're. pushing
- 26:08in all the chips they can to try to win a Super
- 26:10Bowl now, and that's why I think KOC's seat could
- 26:14get warmer through the season if Kyler Murray
- 26:16is not turning out to be the guy, if KOC's not
- 26:19turning out to be the quarterback whisperer.
- 26:22I don't know. It could get interesting. We have
- 26:24a nice scheduled start. That's kind of what I'm
- 26:28leaning on. Because it's always nice if you can
- 26:30start hot. You feel like it changes in the building.
- 26:35And Kyler gets it going and the vibe gets going.
- 26:38We get Packers to start with all their issues,
- 26:41so we don't have to deal with that. Josh Jacobs
- 26:43wasn't playing that game. I'm not as concerned
- 26:45about that game. And the Bears, I mean, we've
- 26:48always competed. It's tough. I'm not going to
- 26:50say it's a W. And then the Buccaneers. It's tough.
- 26:53It's tough, but they're not a team they feel
- 26:56like they're going to blow the doors off. And
- 26:58the Vikings better be able to beat Miami North.
- 27:01Yeah. Then we got Saints. So our first five aren't
- 27:05the worst. Towards the end, it starts getting
- 27:08a little more hairy. Well, hopefully he comes
- 27:11back. And we're developed by that. Yeah, right.
- 27:13Yeah, that's the other thing, yeah. Come on,
- 27:15Eric. Come back for us, baby. No Harrison Smith
- 27:18news. Get a secret Harry. get a secret Harrison
- 27:22re -signing? That would be sweet. I know Harry's
- 27:26watching. We have a couple injuries. Poor Jamal
- 27:29Adams. That was so brutal. I think Harry would
- 27:34not have came back then because Jamal Adams perfectly
- 27:37fits into what Harrison Smith did. They're almost
- 27:39the same player. I was looking them up stat -wise.
- 27:45Everything. You could have even played Jamal
- 27:47Adams as a linebacker. though is to play Jamal
- 27:51Adams as as that middle linebacker and like hitting
- 27:54those A -gaps. He switched to a hybrid. He switched
- 27:59to a safety number for the Vikings, though, specifically.
- 28:03Was his speed the same after his injury? In Seattle,
- 28:06he flew around the field. He was not the same.
- 28:08By any means. Anyway, we should wrap it. That's
- 28:11enough about the Vikings. We always go too long.
- 28:14We had Jake talking about the Vikings, too, though.
- 28:17He's low -key. That's his NFC team. He's already
- 28:22got purple. Yeah. He said 12 wins. So it's fine.
- 28:27There we go. That's it. Thanks for being here,
- 28:29Jake. Thanks for having me. And now we know.
- 28:30He's a Viking. I like it. Good. Let's go to the
- 28:33bowl. Rob. Thanks. Yep. We're going to win it.
- 28:36Lions. This is the year. Europe. That's it. Yep.
- 28:40We're done. Oh, yeah. Outros. Don't forget to
- 28:42like, comment, subscribe. Yep. To Spotify. Nope.
- 28:47YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio.
- 28:50There it is. I had to say it in my order. Otherwise,
- 28:52it's going to mess up. That's it. Peace. See
- 28:56you. Next time. Bye. Bye. Bye. Don't forget to
