- Lucas: Hey Luna, welcome back to Learn Dutch with Fexingo. Episode 113. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna! Ready to learn some more Dutch. What's today's topic? Lucas: We're going to a museum! Imagine you're in Amsterdam and want to visit the Rijksmuseum. You need some basic words. Luna: Oh, I love museums. Okay, let's hear them. Lucas: First, 'de ingang' — the entrance. Repeat after me: de ingang. Luna: De ingang. Lucas: Perfect. Next, 'de tentoonstelling' — the exhibition. De tentoonstelling. Luna: De tentoonstelling. That's a long one. Lucas: Break it down: ten toon stel ling. You'll get it. Now, 'het ticket' — the ticket. Het ticket. Luna: Het ticket. Easy. Lucas: And a useful phrase: 'Mag ik een ticket?' — May I have a ticket? Mag ik een ticket? Luna: Mag ik een ticket? Sounds polite. Lucas: Exactly. And finally, 'Waar is de uitgang?' — Where is the exit? Waar is de uitgang? Luna: Waar is de uitgang? Good for when you're done. Lucas: Let's practice a quick scene. You're at the museum. You say: 'Mag ik een ticket?' Luna: Mag ik een ticket? Lucas: Then I, as the ticket seller, say: 'Ja, natuurlijk. De ingang is daar.' Luna: And I ask about the exhibition: 'Waar is de tentoonstelling?' Lucas: Goed zo! And when you leave, you ask: 'Waar is de uitgang?' Luna: Waar is de uitgang? Perfect. Lucas: See how it all fits together? Let's review all five phrases. First, de ingang. Luna: De ingang. Lucas: De tentoonstelling. Luna: De tentoonstelling. Lucas: Het ticket. Luna: Het ticket. Lucas: Mag ik een ticket? Luna: Mag ik een ticket? Lucas: Waar is de uitgang? Luna: Waar is de uitgang? Lucas: You're doing great. Now, a little tip: In Dutch museums, you often see 'tentoonstelling' for special exhibits. And 'ingang' and 'uitgang' are everywhere. Luna: That's helpful. Feels like I could actually navigate a museum now. Lucas: Exactly. And if Fexingo has been helping you make progress like this, we want to mention something. We keep these episodes free and without ads. Luna: Yeah, that's important to us. If you'd like to support that, the link is buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo. Lucas: It helps us keep going. But no pressure. Now, back to the museum. Let's say you want to ask about the price of a ticket. Luna: How would I say that? Lucas: You can say: 'Hoeveel kost een ticket?' — How much is a ticket? Hoeveel kost een ticket? Luna: Hoeveel kost een ticket? Lucas: And if they say 'Tien euro,' you know it's ten euros. So now you have all you need for a museum visit. Luna: I feel ready. Let's practice once more. Lucas: Okay, repeat after me: de ingang. Luna: De ingang. Lucas: de tentoonstelling. Luna: De tentoonstelling. Lucas: het ticket. Luna: Het ticket. Lucas: Mag ik een ticket? Luna: Mag ik een ticket? Lucas: Waar is de uitgang? Luna: Waar is de uitgang? Lucas: En Hoeveel kost een ticket? Luna: Hoeveel kost een ticket? Lucas: Perfect. That's all for today. Keep practicing these, and next time we'll learn something new. Luna: Bedankt everybody! Tot ziens! Lucas: Doei!
