- 0:02Impatience is endemic to modern-day Society.
- 0:07We expect everything immediately if it does not come we exhibit,
- 0:12frustration, annoyance anger, and a disturbed energy, which
- 0:17impacts the body. The Life Energy, the nervous
- 0:22envelope and the mental state impatience, therefore, create an
- 0:28energetic state. That is diametrically opposed to
- 0:30that required for yogic development.
- 0:34Impatience is rooted in the ego personality?
- 0:37And it's desires. The action of the desire soul in
- 0:41the vital is one of the main impediment to progress in yoga
- 0:46and a focus on immediate results.
- 0:49With the rise of impatience. That accompanies, this Focus
- 0:52actually retards, the yogic process, Swami Vivekananda in
- 0:58his lectures on Raja yoga, describes the chitta or mind
- 1:03stuff. And it's disturbances the
- 1:06practices of Raja yoga work to bring the Mind stuff to a state
- 1:10of Tranquility whereby, it can reflect the higher Divine
- 1:15reality without distortion. He also points out the intimate
- 1:21connection between the breath and the status of the nervous
- 1:24sheath and the mind stuff and he recommends the practice of
- 1:30pranayama as a means to achieve the needed state of Tranquility.
- 1:36These practices May provide an aid to gaining control over the
- 1:40force of impatience, but the true underlying necessity, is
- 1:45for the secret to begin, to observe the reactions within the
- 1:48being to the circumstances of life and reorient.
- 1:52The way he responds, this involves a complete change in
- 1:57levels of expectation concerns for the Fulfillment of vital
- 2:01desires. The attempt to achieve results
- 2:04in the outer world in the the form of ambition, power wealth,
- 2:09or status of any sort, each of these things act upon the
- 2:13psychology to develop impatience in its various forms.
- 2:18None of these realizations or the steps to actually put them
- 2:22into practice occurs overnight. It is a process over the course
- 2:28of time as the secret gained success of understanding of the
- 2:32subtlety of his mind, his emotions, his vital nervous,
- 2:37reactions and even his bodily needs and tendencies SRI.
- 2:43Aurobindo writes, quote impatience is always a mistake,
- 2:48it does not help, but hinders a quiet.
- 2:52Happy faith. And confidence is the best
- 2:55foundation. Ation for sadhna for the rest.
- 2:58A constant opening wide of oneself to receive with an
- 3:03aspiration, which may be intense, but must always be calm
- 3:08and steady. Full yogic realization, does not
- 3:12come all at once it comes after a long preparation of the attar,
- 3:17which may take a long time. The power needed in yoga, is the
- 3:22power to go through effort difficulty or trouble without
- 3:26getting fatigued, depressed, discouraged or impatient, and
- 3:32without breaking off the effort or giving up one's aim, where
- 3:36resolution whatever method is used persistence and
- 3:42perseverance are essential for whatever method is used the
- 3:46complexity of the natural resistance will be there to
- 3:49come. At it and quote reference SRI
