- 2:51Speaker 2: Everything to the tab.
- 2:52Speaker 3: So all right, we're gonna jump right into this. We
- 2:55Speaker 3: got my brother Wallow two six seven, the legend him
- 3:00Speaker 3: self so Instagram.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Now, people have been asking for this episode for a
- 3:06Speaker 3: long time, and I'll get a backstory. Actually, while I
- 3:09Speaker 3: don't even know if I've told Wallow this, but Wallow
- 3:12Speaker 3: actually is one of the reasons why we even have
- 3:14Speaker 3: Arnlsia because so what happens was for months before we
- 3:18Speaker 3: had a podcast, I was following Wallow and Wallow is dope.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I'll tell the whole story. But he was putting like
- 3:25Speaker 3: motivational videos on Instagram like he do like push ups
- 3:30Speaker 3: in the rain.
- 3:31Speaker 5: Chumping out of garbage can. Yeah.
- 3:34Speaker 3: So I'm watching these clips, but you know, it's a
- 3:36Speaker 3: lot of motivational speakers on Instagram, but his was actually
- 3:39Speaker 3: like hitting me, like I'm like yo. So I was
- 3:41Speaker 3: sending to like Troy, I was sent it to all
- 3:43Speaker 3: my friends like yo, watch this, like check this shit out,
- 3:45Speaker 3: and they're like, yo, this is actually pretty dope. And
- 3:48Speaker 3: so I put a clip about fifty cent taking equity
- 3:51Speaker 3: and vitament water and he actually DM me.
- 3:56Speaker 5: No, he followed me.
- 3:56Speaker 3: He followed me first, and I was actually out, I'm like,
- 3:59Speaker 3: oh shit, Wallow follow me.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Look they're like, oh that's yeah.
- 4:06Speaker 3: I'm like the actually if for one of my young boys,
- 4:09Speaker 3: and I'm like yo, while he's like yo, you made it, bro,
- 4:11Speaker 3: Like that's big, Like Wollow followed you. So then he
- 4:15Speaker 3: called me. He called me to nex dm me like, yo,
- 4:17Speaker 3: what's your number? He called me the next day and
- 4:19Speaker 3: we spoke for like an hour and he just gave
- 4:22Speaker 3: me free game, Like, Yo, this is dope. You should
- 4:25Speaker 3: do more of this. The backstories of finance of like entertainment,
- 4:28Speaker 3: Like this is like something that this is a whole
- 4:31Speaker 3: lane you can carve out. And I'm like yeah, he's like,
- 4:32Speaker 3: yeah you should just like that's the lane, like the backstory,
- 4:35Speaker 3: and that's how Ernie Leisure like that's our tagline, the
- 4:37Speaker 3: backstories of sports entertainment. So that kind of like encouraged
- 4:42Speaker 3: me to do more. So yeah, man, Wallow, it's a
- 4:46Speaker 3: legendary story. You know, he was incarcerated for twenty years
- 4:51Speaker 3: at sixteen sixteen, right seventeen, came out and just hit
- 4:56Speaker 3: the ground running, like literally hit the ground running, and
- 5:00Speaker 3: just over two years has the number one podcast on
- 5:04Speaker 3: Apple Music, has endorsement deals with tons of companies, a book,
- 5:09Speaker 3: a book.
- 5:11Speaker 5: The merch Poping that was an e book.
- 5:16Speaker 6: Everything.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, we're gonna run down this whole thing,
- 5:19Speaker 3: but it's just it's really just inspiring. So first and foremost,
- 5:23Speaker 3: thank you, thank you for joining us.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I'm pleasure to be here. Man, this is all the
- 5:29Speaker 2: guys out here.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Now it's real because when we got the When he
- 5:33Speaker 4: told me, like, Yo, I'm about to speak the wallow.
- 5:35Speaker 6: He was like Yo, I'm like, yo, you think I
- 5:37Speaker 6: can hear it?
- 5:39Speaker 2: You know. It's like I was more. I was so
- 5:41Speaker 2: excited to speak to him because it was like, Yo,
- 5:43Speaker 2: this dude is giving it to Like you know, I
- 5:45Speaker 2: might have I might have pushed people, you know, in
- 5:48Speaker 2: a different way, but the information that he had, I
- 5:51Speaker 2: was like, Yo, this is gonna grab me people in
- 5:53Speaker 2: you know, grab people attention and make them want to learn.
- 5:56Speaker 2: See like, you know, learning ain't always cool where we're from,
- 6:00Speaker 2: so so to be able to, you know, encourage people
- 6:02Speaker 2: to learn through people that they see their celebrities and
- 6:05Speaker 2: you're giving up their information and you're throwing these these
- 6:08Speaker 2: dollar signs up there and they got a story with it.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Oh that's that was like man, it was like, you know,
- 6:13Speaker 2: short of like what I do was like medicine and candy,
- 6:16Speaker 2: you know what I mean. I was like, Yo, this
- 6:17Speaker 2: is decent. That's what I was telling you, Like yo,
- 6:19Speaker 2: because there was so many there's so many stories that
- 6:21Speaker 2: we want to know about wherever sneaky deals whether you know,
- 6:24Speaker 2: you know, all type of deals is going on that
- 6:27Speaker 2: we you know, we don't really hear about like you
- 6:30Speaker 2: see how this dude made all his money, Like yo,
- 6:32Speaker 2: who this guy? And like it'd be somebody you might
- 6:34Speaker 2: don't even know that that that created a pattern or
- 6:37Speaker 2: trademark something or you know, just an idea that went
- 6:40Speaker 2: you know what I mean, or just the negotiated the
- 6:42Speaker 2: deal and you're like, yo, he negotiated that, you know,
- 6:46Speaker 2: and it can inspire you. I think that was necessary
- 6:48Speaker 2: when I've seen that.
- 6:49Speaker 4: That was definitely was the intention, because not only does
- 6:51Speaker 4: it inspire you, but it also inspires another generation to
- 6:54Speaker 4: see like, Yo, this is possible. I could do this
- 6:56Speaker 4: because he did it. You know what I'm saying, Like
- 6:57Speaker 4: that's pretty much what we rooted in.
- 6:59Speaker 3: So like one of the like a lot of people
- 7:01Speaker 3: know your story as far as like you know, motivation
- 7:04Speaker 3: coming out of the being incarcerated. But to me, I'll
- 7:07Speaker 3: told you just before, Like to me, the business story
- 7:10Speaker 3: to me is is like what really interests me because
- 7:12Speaker 3: it's like we see you, you know, you've done deals
- 7:15Speaker 3: with Puma, foot Locker, Hennessy, NFL Network, tedtalks Global Citizens
- 7:20Speaker 3: all of that right, and like I said, Number one
- 7:22Speaker 3: podcast merged Trademark's book, all of that stuff. But at
- 7:27Speaker 3: what point, because we spoke about this on the phone, Like,
- 7:30Speaker 3: at what point did you see the direction that the
- 7:32Speaker 3: world was changing while you're actually incarcerated and map out
- 7:35Speaker 3: a strategy to hit the ground running when you come home,
- 7:38Speaker 3: because I know when you first came home, the first
- 7:39Speaker 3: business that you had was selling T shirts, like literally
- 7:42Speaker 3: like just on the street corner.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, it was just like that was the first thing.
- 7:45Speaker 2: But when I was in prison, it was like I
- 7:47Speaker 2: used to I used to read a lot man and
- 7:51Speaker 2: it was it was a guy called Anthony Bourdain. He
- 7:53Speaker 2: was a legend to me. That was like a teacher
- 7:54Speaker 2: from far away. Because Anthony Bourdain had three shows, no Reservation,
- 7:57Speaker 2: parts unknown in the layover, why on like you know,
- 8:01Speaker 2: different channels, Discovery a channel, all type of travel channel,
- 8:05Speaker 2: all the CNN. And this dude used to be a
- 8:08Speaker 2: heroin addict and he got hisself together and he used
- 8:10Speaker 2: to be all over the world and exposing people the
- 8:13Speaker 2: different cultures and different ways of life and ways of thinking.
- 8:16Speaker 2: So I was up on him. Then I used to
- 8:17Speaker 2: read all the time Entrepreneur, Forbes, Black Enterprise, and I
- 8:23Speaker 2: would read as much as possible, Rolling Stone, GQ, Vanity, Fear,
- 8:26Speaker 2: and I would read articles about people making it happen technology,
- 8:29Speaker 2: Wired Magazine, And when people used to come to prison,
- 8:32Speaker 2: I used to always interview people like about life. I
- 8:35Speaker 2: wanted to know what was going on in life, because
- 8:37Speaker 2: in jail life stop. It's not really life. It's not
- 8:40Speaker 2: no oxygen. So when people come, I would want to go,
- 8:42Speaker 2: I would want to get I would want to escape
- 8:45Speaker 2: the reality I was going through. So my way to
- 8:47Speaker 2: escape is I would just interrogate them, man like, ask
- 8:50Speaker 2: them a thousand questions. Man's about life. Somebody knew coming
- 8:53Speaker 2: in new coming in, and I when I first heard
- 8:55Speaker 2: about Google and YouTube, I was like, man, I didn't
- 8:58Speaker 2: believe somebody when they first told me about Google, cause
- 9:00Speaker 2: it was like what you Yeah, well you could type
- 9:02Speaker 2: your name, And I said, why I want my name
- 9:03Speaker 2: being there? I've been in jail, like how could you
- 9:05Speaker 2: type my name? And something to come up? And you know,
- 9:08Speaker 2: I saw. I used to write it down and a
- 9:09Speaker 2: thing called the Book of Life. The Book of Life
- 9:11Speaker 2: is a book that I had, the composition book, and
- 9:13Speaker 2: I used to write everything down, all over, every every
- 9:16Speaker 2: inchy that I would use to write I mean, I
- 9:18Speaker 2: might be talking to you or tell me somebody app
- 9:20Speaker 2: or or you might tell me somebody the website, but
- 9:22Speaker 2: I gotta remember that. I don't care what time. I
- 9:24Speaker 2: got all types of stuff written in that book of life,
- 9:26Speaker 2: you know, and uh, and it just was like one
- 9:29Speaker 2: day I'm gonna look into it. So my homie he
- 9:31Speaker 2: had got a he had access to a wireless hotspot
- 9:36Speaker 2: and the iPod touch. And once we gave me that,
- 9:40Speaker 2: it was like I came alive.
- 9:42Speaker 3: When the first time you saw an iPod you think
- 9:43Speaker 3: it was like an alien and like, what did you.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Not dropped it? Because I couldn't believe it. When I
- 9:47Speaker 2: typed it up and stuff was just popping up, you
- 9:50Speaker 2: know what I mean, my name and stuff was popping
- 9:52Speaker 2: up that you know. I was thinking, it was like, Yo,
- 9:54Speaker 2: this is like and I thought I was I thought
- 9:56Speaker 2: I had something that nobody in the world had. Just Google.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Google was like it was like university to me. It
- 10:01Speaker 2: was a free university. You can find anything, you could
- 10:03Speaker 2: learn anything, and you know, and you know, just typing
- 10:06Speaker 2: it high too on YouTube. So I was like, oh,
- 10:09Speaker 2: I was like, yo, this is I couldn't believe I
- 10:12Speaker 2: thought this like this was like unreal. I'm like, this
- 10:15Speaker 2: is no way in the world. It's people. We got this.
- 10:17Speaker 2: And because I thought like with this, I got to
- 10:19Speaker 2: and I said, damn, I got an edge on anybody
- 10:21Speaker 2: out here. I got an edge.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Now you know that that's powerful because it's like a
- 10:25Speaker 3: lot of time we don't we take stuff for granted,
- 10:27Speaker 3: like on the outside, right, or just people in general.
- 10:29Speaker 3: And I never forget when my cousin came home. My
- 10:31Speaker 3: cousin came home from jail, and he did like I
- 10:34Speaker 3: think ten or eleven years and he saw the iPhone
- 10:36Speaker 3: for the first time, and he didn't know, like he
- 10:39Speaker 3: was looking at it, but he didn't say he didn't
- 10:41Speaker 3: know what it but I could tell he had no
- 10:43Speaker 3: idea what was going on. He's like, like, how you
- 10:46Speaker 3: touch it? Like you know what I'm saying, Like what's
- 10:47Speaker 3: going on? So it's like things like that. It's like
- 10:50Speaker 3: we don't fully understand how powerful what we have are.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Like the phone is.
- 10:54Speaker 3: The most powerful invention ever created. You got a library.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Anything that's ever happened in the history of the world
- 10:59Speaker 3: is writing.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Absolutely, So at that time when you're discovering these things,
- 11:05Speaker 4: are you formulating, like yo, how am I going to
- 11:07Speaker 4: use these things once I leave?
- 11:09Speaker 2: To be honest with you, I just was like, yo,
- 11:11Speaker 2: I always was a dude that was always a grinder,
- 11:13Speaker 2: like a hustler, you know, Uh, because growing up I
- 11:17Speaker 2: used to I was a part of a crew called
- 11:19Speaker 2: the Lowlights. We used to boost and still you know
- 11:21Speaker 2: they originally yeah, they originated from Yeah, they originated from
- 11:26Speaker 2: New York. You know. My old g Uh it was
- 11:31Speaker 2: a cat named b Bill rest in p schis low
- 11:33Speaker 2: Uh and uh, he didn't win. They gave me the
- 11:35Speaker 2: name Wildow. My real name is Wallace, but they used
- 11:38Speaker 2: to call me a little wilely. He made a while low.
- 11:40Speaker 2: So I used to boost and steal all that stuff.
- 11:42Speaker 2: So I always had like a hustle to me. So
- 11:44Speaker 2: I used to sell things all the time. That's what
- 11:46Speaker 2: the low part comes in. Yeah. Yeah, So I used
- 11:48Speaker 2: to sell things all the time. And when I was
- 11:53Speaker 2: in jail, I always studied marketing. I studied colors, I
- 11:57Speaker 2: studied I understood that, I studied intention span. I understood
- 12:00Speaker 2: about when I see a commercial on TV. I used
- 12:03Speaker 2: to love watching commercials in jail. You know, like you
- 12:06Speaker 2: may watch and look at a commercial like that and
- 12:08Speaker 2: I'm watching, like, yo, I want to do what advertising
- 12:09Speaker 2: agency made this that they gave it, you know, get it,
- 12:13Speaker 2: you know, contract to to shoot all their commercials. I'm
- 12:15Speaker 2: looking at the colors, I'm looking at the timeframe, I'm
- 12:18Speaker 2: looking at the excitement, at the you know, to catch
- 12:20Speaker 2: your drawn and so I'm like, yo, man. I studied
- 12:25Speaker 2: the T shirt game because it was like T shirts
- 12:27Speaker 2: ain't gonna never die, and I used to sell close.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I said'mna get out there and throw some T Shirt'm
- 12:31Speaker 2: gonna get some boat finds, I'm gonna get some catchy
- 12:33Speaker 2: sands and it's on. I'm gonna go out there because
- 12:35Speaker 2: I just knew stuff. I study symbolism, and I said,
- 12:39Speaker 2: when I go out here is on because I said,
- 12:41Speaker 2: I literally say, I'm gonna fox shit up out here
- 12:43Speaker 2: because people sleep. Because as I was be on Google all,
- 12:46Speaker 2: I used to be on social media and I used
- 12:47Speaker 2: to see that people was out here celebrating nothing. I'm like,
- 12:50Speaker 2: oh my god, I got to tell you, you know,
- 12:52Speaker 2: because you know, for me to be able to have
- 12:54Speaker 2: this this leverage being in pre prison, because in prison,
- 12:58Speaker 2: everybody is like on dinosaurt the time, the duck in
- 13:00Speaker 2: the time that they came in on and you know,
- 13:02Speaker 2: they're part of a world that don't exist no more.
- 13:05Speaker 2: So what that did is they that put me up
- 13:06Speaker 2: in today and told it, told me about tomorrow, and
- 13:09Speaker 2: I was like, noth gonna stop me with this and
- 13:11Speaker 2: I got this that's all I you know, would say,
- 13:14Speaker 2: telling my people, I just want two phones, like come on,
- 13:17Speaker 2: you know what I mean, I just want too you
- 13:18Speaker 2: know what I mean. And it was like, i'm'a go
- 13:20Speaker 2: out here and i'm'a just destroy this shit. And I
- 13:23Speaker 2: knew that people lack I knew people like grind they
- 13:25Speaker 2: lack imagination. And I knew that, you know, even though
- 13:29Speaker 2: I was coming out of prison thirty seven. It was
- 13:33Speaker 2: like i'm'a be coming out of prison thirty seven, but
- 13:35Speaker 2: at the same time, I'm really still gonna be a
- 13:37Speaker 2: kid with my imagination cause Jill stagnated. Jill didn't give
- 13:41Speaker 2: me the experience that the average person would have. Like
- 13:43Speaker 2: as an adult, you know, you grow, you get experienced,
- 13:46Speaker 2: and you start to know more things to whereas though
- 13:47Speaker 2: limit your imagination cause you feel as though, oh that
- 13:50Speaker 2: can't be done, this can't be done, that can be
- 13:51Speaker 2: As a child, you had an unbelievable imagination, right, because
- 13:54Speaker 2: you haven't ran up against no walls yet. So I
- 13:57Speaker 2: still was in that mind of my imagination everything. And
- 14:00Speaker 2: I was like, oh, I could do any fucking thing.
- 14:03Speaker 2: You know.
- 14:03Speaker 4: That's POWERFULID to imagine the ability to dream.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I still was dreaming. That's that's dope. I still
- 14:09Speaker 2: was dreaming.
- 14:10Speaker 4: So when when you were like you said you were
- 14:12Speaker 4: coming up with slogans like are you writing these down
- 14:14Speaker 4: in the life book?
- 14:14Speaker 2: Like your book of life?
- 14:15Speaker 6: They're coming up. I will write stuff down.
- 14:17Speaker 2: I'll be talking talking trash or we might be talking,
- 14:19Speaker 2: I might see someone to think of something remaking me,
- 14:21Speaker 2: like like, you know, there's always money in Philadelphia. You
- 14:23Speaker 2: know that was a slogan come from It's Always sunny
- 14:25Speaker 2: in Philadelphia, the show.
- 14:27Speaker 6: So I see it.
- 14:27Speaker 2: I go with that, and I started printing that on
- 14:29Speaker 2: shirts and it was like game time, Like it was like.
- 14:33Speaker 3: So when you when you when you come home, like
- 14:35Speaker 3: what's the first steps of getting the T shirt? Like
- 14:38Speaker 3: you like what, like how do you because you come
- 14:41Speaker 3: home you don't have any money at all?
- 14:42Speaker 2: No, I had a couple of dollars, okay, something for
- 14:45Speaker 2: my books. A couple of people hit me off, gave
- 14:47Speaker 2: me a couple of hours. But they don't take nothing
- 14:48Speaker 2: to start like a T shirt line, like you know,
- 14:51Speaker 2: went to the local printer. I want. This is what
- 14:53Speaker 2: I want. Any city, and you gotta h you always
- 14:57Speaker 2: going to a T shirt whole selling somewhere in your
- 14:58Speaker 2: town is gonna be where they sell a whole shell,
- 15:00Speaker 2: T shirts, hoodies, whatever. I went there. I heard about
- 15:03Speaker 2: a guy named Mark, you know, uh from Hustle's Union.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I heard about him in jail because I knew a guy.
- 15:08Speaker 2: I knew people that was dealing with him. My homie
- 15:10Speaker 2: girl was dealing with him. Uh. She had a clothing line,
- 15:13Speaker 2: and when I came home, she took me to him,
- 15:14Speaker 2: like yo, here you go. And I was like, okay,
- 15:16Speaker 2: it's on. And I would just buy a certain I
- 15:19Speaker 2: don't I forget how many was probably like twenty. I
- 15:22Speaker 2: bought him, took him to him, paid a couple of
- 15:24Speaker 2: dollars for the shirt, a couple of dollars for the
- 15:25Speaker 2: sealk screening, and I just went with it. I just
- 15:28Speaker 2: was like, all right, I'm gonna go sell these. I
- 15:30Speaker 2: was selling T shirts in the winter time, hand in
- 15:32Speaker 2: hand man like coke so and I just started selling
- 15:36Speaker 2: them and just and just start I just start feeling it.
- 15:39Speaker 4: At that point when you're coming up with these slogans
- 15:41Speaker 4: in your mind, like obviously you've been studying, are you
- 15:44Speaker 4: thinking about it?
- 15:44Speaker 6: I got a trademark this.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Or or you know, I already knew about trademarkses I
- 15:48Speaker 2: ran into in jail. I ran into an intellectual property attorney.
- 15:51Speaker 2: He was in jail, and uh, he gave me the
- 15:53Speaker 2: game about that and I read about it. But he
- 15:55Speaker 2: would tell me about intellecttions cause I'm like, intellectual property,
- 15:57Speaker 2: What the hell? What type of real estate you got?
- 16:00Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, because you say properly. And
- 16:02Speaker 2: then and then he said, you know, in the reality,
- 16:03Speaker 2: that is like real estate. Yeah, you know what I mean,
- 16:05Speaker 2: because it's still properly. It's still stuff that you can
- 16:07Speaker 2: make money offever it's properly you know. License. And then
- 16:10Speaker 2: I used to watch Shark Tank and I would see
- 16:12Speaker 2: them talking about, you know, asking people they own the
- 16:15Speaker 2: join and telling about licenses and royalties at the trademark
- 16:18Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh shit, this is the game. So
- 16:21Speaker 2: I always was fascinated with trademarks and understanding that, and
- 16:23Speaker 2: like so I said Okay, I'm a trademark shit and
- 16:26Speaker 2: I just write stuff down right, company names, right, ideas down.
- 16:29Speaker 2: And I was like, I'm a trademark this shit.
- 16:31Speaker 3: So one thing I was I was actually curious about
- 16:34Speaker 3: this a business podcast. But we talked about like criminal
- 16:36Speaker 3: justice reform and stuff like that, like when people come
- 16:38Speaker 3: home from jail, like for probation and stuff that they
- 16:41Speaker 3: got to show that they're working. They get a job.
- 16:42Speaker 3: They have to have a job, right, Like how'd that
- 16:44Speaker 3: work out for you? Like being an entrepreneur. They let
- 16:47Speaker 3: you rock with that.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Or like me, I went, she'd be like, I told her,
- 16:53Speaker 2: I don't know what it was. My parole agent just
- 16:55Speaker 2: believed in me. I told her what I was going
- 16:57Speaker 2: to do because when I came home, like my like
- 16:59Speaker 2: my score and if I was going, you know, you
- 17:02Speaker 2: take like testes like and the test some of these
- 17:04Speaker 2: tests show if you're gonna you know, what's your chances
- 17:07Speaker 2: of reoffending or whatever? I had low. She was like,
- 17:10Speaker 2: you ain't really, no prilem, I ain't really your own
- 17:12Speaker 2: use drugs? You on what's the name. And I lived
- 17:14Speaker 2: like a good probably like two to three hundred feet
- 17:22Speaker 2: from the pro office. Literally that was right there. Like
- 17:25Speaker 2: my grandma was living in my grand so it's like
- 17:27Speaker 2: they she wasn't worrying about me, you know what I mean,
- 17:30Speaker 2: she just like some mandated you gotta go to this
- 17:32Speaker 2: job fare or whatever I go. But I started, I
- 17:35Speaker 2: just started getting it set on my how I was
- 17:36Speaker 2: getting it man, you know, And before I knew it,
- 17:39Speaker 2: it was game time. Yeah. I started doing advertising for
- 17:42Speaker 2: people on Instagram, you know, to build my sting up,
- 17:46Speaker 2: and it was like it was over and just you
- 17:48Speaker 2: getting paid to speak. And it was like, okay, I'm
- 17:51Speaker 2: in the game. All right.
- 17:52Speaker 3: So the next time we're gonna talk about, were gonna
- 17:54Speaker 3: talk about your transition from selling T shirts to blowing
- 17:56Speaker 3: up and being a social media influencer. All right, So
- 18:00Speaker 3: I want to talk about social media marketing because a
- 18:02Speaker 3: lot a lot of people, everybody that has a business
- 18:04Speaker 3: right now, I think, has to be marketing themselves on
- 18:08Speaker 3: and everybody's trying to do it, but a lot of
- 18:10Speaker 3: people is not doing it correctly and not doing it right.
- 18:13Speaker 3: But you you caught wildfire, Like, so all right your
- 18:17Speaker 3: social media campaign was that deliberate or was that just
- 18:21Speaker 3: you was just doing it and just kind of caught
- 18:24Speaker 3: steaming before you knew it. You just like did you
- 18:28Speaker 3: have a plan for that or you just was doing it?
- 18:30Speaker 3: And that's how it was already done.
- 18:32Speaker 2: You know, I knew. I knew one thing that I knew.
- 18:34Speaker 2: I knew the attention span. I knew that I had
- 18:37Speaker 2: to battle with the timeline. So what I did was,
- 18:39Speaker 2: I knew that whether I'm laying on the ground with
- 18:43Speaker 2: ketchup on my head or rather I'm jumping off a roof,
- 18:47Speaker 2: I had to grab your attention because I had to
- 18:49Speaker 2: battle with the girl that was naked on Instagram, to
- 18:52Speaker 2: do with all the jewelry on the system, with all
- 18:55Speaker 2: the designers, do with all the designers, sit on the
- 18:58Speaker 2: rapper the athlete. So I said, or something that nobody
- 19:01Speaker 2: doing out here, nobody, and uh, but I'm gonna give
- 19:04Speaker 2: it to you with a message, because you're gonna stop
- 19:07Speaker 2: when you see me laying on the ground with the
- 19:08Speaker 2: ketch up, You're gonna stop when you see me jumping
- 19:10Speaker 2: off a roof. And then I'm gonna be at a
- 19:12Speaker 2: poppet in that one minute and give you a message,
- 19:15Speaker 2: you know, like once again, you know medicine and the candy.
- 19:18Speaker 2: So it was like it wasn't no big, big plot
- 19:21Speaker 2: of plan. It was just like I just was giving
- 19:23Speaker 2: the message out, you know, and and it just was
- 19:27Speaker 2: my natural me being me, Like I knew, and I
- 19:30Speaker 2: knew that everybody out here was afraid to be themselves.
- 19:33Speaker 2: So if you got people on Instagram really being yourself,
- 19:36Speaker 2: really not worrying about how you look at me, I'm
- 19:38Speaker 2: really not trying to impress you with things or man,
- 19:41Speaker 2: you could kill shit. And that's what I did, you know,
- 19:44Speaker 2: I just was I guess me was me, me naturally
- 19:47Speaker 2: being me was marketing.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the fact. And I always tell people that's
- 19:50Speaker 3: the best way. Like people ask, they ask, even me
- 19:53Speaker 3: all the time, like you know, different tips. I'm like,
- 19:55Speaker 3: you gotta be original me and Troy. I just had
- 19:57Speaker 3: this conversation with somebody yesterday, like you gotta on your
- 20:00Speaker 3: own lane. Like there's really no sept rhyme or reason
- 20:03Speaker 3: or formula. It's like what works for you, Like this
- 20:05Speaker 3: works for us, but what works for you. And I
- 20:07Speaker 3: think a lot of times, especially with social media, everybody's
- 20:09Speaker 3: trying to like duplicate what's already hot. And the problem
- 20:13Speaker 3: is you're always running a race where you're behind somebody
- 20:15Speaker 3: like you're following, and then it's like a turn. Now
- 20:17Speaker 3: you gotta follow that turn. Now you gotta follow this turn.
- 20:19Speaker 3: It's like, if you on your own path, you don't
- 20:22Speaker 3: got to worry about.
- 20:22Speaker 2: What you know. You know what's crazy. I was thinking
- 20:24Speaker 2: about that ship and I was staying about to stay
- 20:25Speaker 2: your own lane, and I realized was talking to a
- 20:27Speaker 2: social mine, I said, I said, man, I'm coming to
- 20:32Speaker 2: the conclusion that that whole mindset might be a little
- 20:37Speaker 2: dated because we living in the world. Whereas though it's
- 20:41Speaker 2: it's like you ever notice how you're driving. You got
- 20:45Speaker 2: different lanes. You got this lane, you got the speed lane.
- 20:51Speaker 2: If you're trying to get somewhere, you be banging all
- 20:55Speaker 2: types of lanes. Speed lane, slow it up, of course,
- 20:59Speaker 2: slow on the speed of you Like, I think you
- 21:01Speaker 2: got to change lane. Sometimes you got because the way
- 21:04Speaker 2: the game is and the way the culture of nown is,
- 21:07Speaker 2: the culture now has changed so much. Whereas though, can
- 21:09Speaker 2: you keep up with the speed of culture? You know,
- 21:11Speaker 2: Troy Carter once said that, And that's the real reality
- 21:15Speaker 2: of it is you might jump in the lane and
- 21:19Speaker 2: you really might be multi talented, like you might be
- 21:22Speaker 2: like that's just like tell the dude. Oh man, everybody
- 21:25Speaker 2: might come up get their money someway, but everybody always
- 21:28Speaker 2: preached real estate, real estate, real estate, real estate, real estate.
- 21:31Speaker 2: All a billion of real estate. You know what I'm saying.
- 21:33Speaker 2: All the billionaires got multiple revenute stay, all the billionaires
- 21:36Speaker 2: got real estate. You know, the same old say shit
- 21:38Speaker 2: you always hear you know what I'm saying, Like, so
- 21:41Speaker 2: you have a dude that got the real estate. But
- 21:44Speaker 2: at the same time he probably came up from a
- 21:47Speaker 2: juice company, right, you got to do they got the
- 21:50Speaker 2: real estate, same time he came up probably off of music.
- 21:52Speaker 2: This dude athlete. This dude, uh might got restaurants. This
- 21:56Speaker 2: dude might have gas, this dude might sell uh, you know,
- 22:00Speaker 2: landscaping and stuff. So it's like, what do you know
- 22:02Speaker 2: what I mean? It's like like people is getting but
- 22:06Speaker 2: in the same chines see staying your lan did the
- 22:08Speaker 2: same time they say, have multiple revenue streams. So it's like,
- 22:11Speaker 2: what the fuck do you do? But just do what
- 22:13Speaker 2: you feel.
- 22:13Speaker 4: It's a million lanes man, But the kids to remain authentic.
- 22:16Speaker 4: Even back to what I was saying, it was like
- 22:18Speaker 4: somebody was asking us, like, yo, how do y'all do it,
- 22:21Speaker 4: And it was like, well, we've been friends with twenty
- 22:23Speaker 4: five plus years. It's not how do we do it,
- 22:25Speaker 4: it's just naturally what we do. But I'm glad that
- 22:27Speaker 4: you said that, like diversifying your mind right, because like
- 22:31Speaker 4: you said, like if I stay in my one lane,
- 22:33Speaker 4: like I'm a teacher, like people will only keep me
- 22:35Speaker 4: in that lanes. Like when they hear me even talking
- 22:36Speaker 4: about business, it's like you're not supposed to do that,
- 22:39Speaker 4: Like you know that all those things it's like a
- 22:41Speaker 4: shock to people. And then you get to diversify from
- 22:44Speaker 4: this like yeah, I could do this, I could do this,
- 22:46Speaker 4: and then you surprise yourself.
- 22:47Speaker 6: You're like damn, like I really did that.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Like you got to look at it, like I don't
- 22:51Speaker 2: even try to you know, I don't even try to
- 22:54Speaker 2: categorize myself because like you know what I mean advertise.
- 23:00Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, which is marketing for myself
- 23:03Speaker 2: for brands or uh, you know, I do speaking engagements.
- 23:08Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. A host of a podcast.
- 23:11Speaker 2: You know what I mean. I manufactur you merch. You
- 23:14Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, I create you know, self merch,
- 23:17Speaker 2: Like like what can no, no, you know, I don't know.
- 23:25Speaker 2: But it's like, you know what I mean. But it's
- 23:27Speaker 2: like at the same time, like what if I box myself?
- 23:30Speaker 3: Yeah, now, for sure, you gotta you gotta leave all
- 23:32Speaker 3: your options open. I just think you still you have
- 23:34Speaker 3: to be authentic because a lot of times I think
- 23:37Speaker 3: people are chasing something that they're not. That's what I
- 23:42Speaker 3: mean by like chasing something like not chasing like in
- 23:44Speaker 3: different direction, different lanes, but chasing like, Okay, this is
- 23:47Speaker 3: the wave on Instagram. Comedian, I'm gonna be a comedian.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I'm gonna be an Instagram comedian. Oh this is the
- 23:51Speaker 3: wave on Instagram. I'm gonna do this. It's like it's
- 23:54Speaker 3: not sustainable.
- 23:55Speaker 2: But because it's like it's not, you're not comfortable with it.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Like I'm comfortable with getting a fucking shut up, throwing
- 24:02Speaker 2: the video or doing video. I'm cool with that. I
- 24:04Speaker 2: do that ship in my sleep and I'm cool with that,
- 24:06Speaker 2: you know what I mean. I don't. It's good when
- 24:08Speaker 2: you can aspire people Like I've seen a lot of
- 24:10Speaker 2: people come after me and wanted to do whatever they
- 24:13Speaker 2: was doing, and I respected it. I don't feel no
- 24:15Speaker 2: type of way I don't. They ain't got nothing to
- 24:17Speaker 2: do with what I'm doing. You know, I guess you
- 24:21Speaker 2: just you just you just see people and you just
- 24:23Speaker 2: like I wish people could just I want people to win,
- 24:26Speaker 2: and I wish they do find ay thing, you know,
- 24:30Speaker 2: and it ain't never too late to figure it out.
- 24:33Speaker 2: You can find that ship, you know what I mean.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Like I just be like, I just be like going
- 24:38Speaker 2: hard at what I know, and I'm always adding some
- 24:40Speaker 2: new ship to my my arsenal.
- 24:42Speaker 3: So one thing you told me outside, he was like
- 24:44Speaker 3: when you was in Soho and you was walking around.
- 24:48Speaker 2: He's like people.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Most people when they they look at they look at
- 24:51Speaker 3: the store, they look at that, They looking at the
- 24:53Speaker 3: store's name. But you're looking like as a possible advertiser.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Like I'm looking at I'm looking at I'm looking at
- 24:58Speaker 2: it as they need advertisement. They could be a sponsor
- 25:01Speaker 2: for a podcast, they could be a sponsor for event.
- 25:04Speaker 2: They could be a sponsor for community, uh you know,
- 25:08Speaker 2: give back or activate. Like that's how I see that.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I don't see like I see things differently. When I
- 25:13Speaker 2: see them, I'm like, okay, bang. But everything is about
- 25:15Speaker 2: the introduction to that idea. A lot of times you
- 25:19Speaker 2: have an idea, but if the introduction to that idea
- 25:22Speaker 2: to who you're presenting it to don't grab them. I
- 25:24Speaker 2: mean that's why a lot of times you see movies.
- 25:26Speaker 2: As soon as the movie come on you, I mean,
- 25:29Speaker 2: you see something happen in the car chase, somebody shot,
- 25:32Speaker 2: somebody can't kill you hit the gun, and then they
- 25:35Speaker 2: say six months earlier. But the that the introduction grabbed
- 25:39Speaker 2: you made you see here, You're like, damn, I want
- 25:41Speaker 2: to see what's still this? And sometimes it's for the
- 25:43Speaker 2: big you know, everybody out here, man, all these businesses,
- 25:47Speaker 2: they always looking for new ways to market, you know,
- 25:51Speaker 2: because you know you got this technology. Everybody want to
- 25:54Speaker 2: be a part of. Everybody want to be hip, they
- 25:56Speaker 2: want to be cool, they want the followers. The big
- 25:58Speaker 2: brands even.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Do it like on social media is the new rock
- 26:01Speaker 3: stars the influences for sure.
- 26:03Speaker 2: So you got to try to figure out how can
- 26:04Speaker 2: we partner? So how did that? How did that happen?
- 26:07Speaker 3: Because I remember one thing you told me a while
- 26:08Speaker 3: ago too, is like, don't always worry about like big
- 26:11Speaker 3: brands and stuff like that. Like take like it might
- 26:14Speaker 3: be a small mom and pop that wants to do
- 26:16Speaker 3: an Instagram ad Like I tell people that all the time,
- 26:17Speaker 3: especially when you're first starting out, But like, at what
- 26:20Speaker 3: point did you transition to like bigger brands, Like did
- 26:23Speaker 3: that just happen through relationships or did you reach out
- 26:27Speaker 3: to them?
- 26:27Speaker 2: Like how did that? In the game out here, everything
- 26:30Speaker 2: goes off of relationships. It goes off for your your
- 26:33Speaker 2: tracking out here, and then when you know, it goes
- 26:36Speaker 2: off multiple things. But when you get hot, man, I'm
- 26:40Speaker 2: telling you, man, you get hot out here, they come
- 26:41Speaker 2: and looking for you.
- 26:43Speaker 4: I mean, I wouldn't say climb. It was like, it's
- 26:47Speaker 4: been two and a half years, right, so.
- 26:49Speaker 2: It's been been actually thirty four months.
- 26:52Speaker 4: So at what point? I mean, was it just hot
- 26:54Speaker 4: from the start? Like people, what was the process it was?
- 26:59Speaker 2: It was? It was it took time, Like all right,
- 27:02Speaker 2: I was out of jail probably six months, and I uh,
- 27:05Speaker 2: that was the first time I got to speaking a
- 27:07Speaker 2: real serious speaking I think the first speaking check I
- 27:09Speaker 2: got was like was it six hundred dollars? Spoken to school?
- 27:16Speaker 2: But I was just sure this dude gaming like six
- 27:18Speaker 2: My first advertising check I got was five hundred dollars
- 27:21Speaker 2: for one minute of that on Instagram And like six
- 27:26Speaker 2: months outside of me being six months of me being home,
- 27:31Speaker 2: I've done the speaking thing, what a speaking of engagement.
- 27:36Speaker 2: I did it for fifteen minutes, to do big business
- 27:39Speaker 2: business he gave me. He gave me two grand for
- 27:41Speaker 2: fifteen minutes. I said, oh shit, is game time? I
- 27:45Speaker 2: remember I said that to my officer. I said this
- 27:47Speaker 2: when I'm doing She said, holy shit, my pro office.
- 27:51Speaker 2: I sent a copy of the check and I did
- 27:52Speaker 2: this how I'm doing it out here.
- 27:53Speaker 4: That was based off of what you have been curating
- 27:55Speaker 4: already on social media.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it was based off of my he my valuation
- 28:00Speaker 2: he had for me because I didn't know what I
- 28:01Speaker 2: was doing so philly right. Yeah, he just said it,
- 28:03Speaker 2: come and do it. I went and done it, and
- 28:05Speaker 2: he gave me that, you know, and it was like
- 28:08Speaker 2: two fifteen minutes. I've only been out of jail six months.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Game time. It's my worth, you know what I'm saying.
- 28:14Speaker 2: I knew everybody probably couldn't pay it, but I knew
- 28:16Speaker 2: where to start from. I know, damn, I get two
- 28:18Speaker 2: thousand dollars plus tradwa I could do this. Then I
- 28:21Speaker 2: started making moves, you know, I mean, I understood what
- 28:22Speaker 2: the what the one, she was I started looking up.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Damn we do a you know a contract?
- 28:27Speaker 6: Look like earners? What's up?

- 30:50Speaker 2: What type of you know, speaking engagement contract? What DoD
- 30:52Speaker 2: it look like? I'm going on line, pulling jaws down,
- 30:54Speaker 2: going to speakers pages, Like everything you want is.
- 30:56Speaker 6: Overal, so you're doing it yourself.
- 30:58Speaker 4: You're not like, oh, I gotta get it agent.
- 31:00Speaker 2: No, I don't have no agent because I didn't really
- 31:03Speaker 2: have no agent, but I had friends, you know what
- 31:05Speaker 2: I mean? That will help me. And then people do
- 31:07Speaker 2: stuff for me, like Nadia, Nissa. You know my lawyer
- 31:11Speaker 2: shaam lost and you know what I mean. One thing
- 31:13Speaker 2: about my lawyer, man, y'allmight gotta get hurt. That thing
- 31:16Speaker 2: on going sham lost. She's from Cleveland, but uh she
- 31:21Speaker 2: she lived in Atlanta. She practiced out of Atlanta. She's
- 31:23Speaker 2: an intellectual property attorney and all that stuff. And I
- 31:28Speaker 2: met her down Atlanta, like I wasn't home that long,
- 31:31Speaker 2: and she was like, listen, man, I'm gonna help you.
- 31:34Speaker 2: She will help me. Thinks she got me at a
- 31:35Speaker 2: three c she uh what she at a three C festival.
- 31:40Speaker 2: She got me there the first year at home speaking there,
- 31:42Speaker 2: you know, uh, And she was like, listen, you ain't
- 31:45Speaker 2: got that much money. Give me what you're gonna give me.
- 31:47Speaker 2: I'm gonna help you get your stuff, trademark, whatever you
- 31:49Speaker 2: give me for the filing fees. And I love her,
- 31:52Speaker 2: you know what I mean. She always done that, like
- 31:53Speaker 2: she's a if you listen to this, check out Shaye
- 31:56Speaker 2: m lost and on Instagram. She really like a she
- 31:59Speaker 2: knows stuff, you know what I mean. And I and
- 32:02Speaker 2: I ran into like a couple of deals, a little
- 32:03Speaker 2: small stuff, you know, I mean, foxy grand type. She
- 32:06Speaker 2: would make sure that it was right reading no, no,
- 32:09Speaker 2: take this out, take that out. She's a beast, you
- 32:11Speaker 2: know what I mean. But her, you know, I had
- 32:13Speaker 2: people like her. I had Nisa, I had Nadia. Then
- 32:17Speaker 2: was like like one thing I learned about the game
- 32:18Speaker 2: out here, Like when you're doing stuff, women approach is
- 32:21Speaker 2: way different, Like they really be.
- 32:23Speaker 4: On shit for you, Like if women like you got
- 32:27Speaker 4: people like women out here that would try to Like
- 32:30Speaker 4: most of my journey, it was like women.
- 32:31Speaker 2: That throw the plug through the all, you know what
- 32:33Speaker 2: I mean. Uh, you know, you know, it was like
- 32:37Speaker 2: it was different women, and they would they they position
- 32:40Speaker 2: you different, like they'd be really on that ship. They
- 32:43Speaker 2: work hard, they work different. Seem like a lot of
- 32:45Speaker 2: dudes be bullshit, you know, they be trying to compete
- 32:47Speaker 2: with you or they be trying to be popping, so
- 32:48Speaker 2: it'd be crazy. Not all of them, but some of them,
- 32:50Speaker 2: you know.
- 32:52Speaker 3: So and like, yeah, the thing I like about is
- 32:54Speaker 3: the whole package is very polished, like your website and
- 32:57Speaker 3: your bio and all that.
- 32:58Speaker 2: You know what it took Listen, man, I'll tell you
- 33:00Speaker 2: I didn't had different websites. It took time, and it
- 33:03Speaker 2: took me just looking at people, like a lot of times.
- 33:05Speaker 2: If you know, you gotta like whatever you're trying to do,
- 33:08Speaker 2: like I tell people, look at the people that's doing
- 33:10Speaker 2: what you're doing on the next level. You know what
- 33:13Speaker 2: I'm saying. If you know, if you're trying to be
- 33:14Speaker 2: a speaker, you know what I mean, you gotta look
- 33:17Speaker 2: at look at speaker pages, look and see how much
- 33:20Speaker 2: they charge, and look at their website.
- 33:21Speaker 4: Look how you look who was the guy that all
- 33:23Speaker 4: the people that you looked at when you were going
- 33:25Speaker 4: trying to model, like you know what he's doing that
- 33:27Speaker 4: or she's doing that.
- 33:28Speaker 6: This is what I need to do.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I need to charge this, Like I think the charge
- 33:32Speaker 2: was like because some people prices were astronomical, you know
- 33:35Speaker 2: what I'm saying, still are like you got some people
- 33:37Speaker 2: you was like, damn, you know what I mean. I'm like,
- 33:38Speaker 2: I'm gonna get that. I'm getting that fifty thousand. It's
- 33:41Speaker 2: like it's like a lot of speakers out here, like
- 33:42Speaker 2: you know what I mean. You got you got the
- 33:44Speaker 2: Less Brown, you got the Eric Thomas, you got the
- 33:46Speaker 2: David Goggins, you got these type of dudes is out there.
- 33:49Speaker 2: You got the Ikey Ikey Johnson. But but the dude
- 33:52Speaker 2: that really broke it down for me was a guy
- 33:54Speaker 2: named Maurice Correct. One thing about him is that you know,
- 34:01Speaker 2: he gave me the game because once when Maurice Correct
- 34:05Speaker 2: came out of prison, was doing his thing, It's thirty
- 34:06Speaker 2: for thirty documentary came out, Uh, his email got swamped,
- 34:10Speaker 2: like a thousand emails. People went the booking. Hein't know
- 34:12Speaker 2: how to do, so he got what people people ain't
- 34:14Speaker 2: wasn't there for him and try to give him the game.
- 34:16Speaker 2: So he's seen when I was coming home. I was.
- 34:18Speaker 2: He sent me an email and I was like, hold up,
- 34:21Speaker 2: I noticed thing I was watching his I noticed boys
- 34:24Speaker 2: correct or the Ohio State.
- 34:27Speaker 6: I reached out, listen.
- 34:28Speaker 2: So I hit. I'm like, yo, man, I'm like, oh shit, yo.
- 34:31Speaker 2: And what's crazy is like, at the beginning of my journey,
- 34:35Speaker 2: I used to be living. I was living on my grandma.
- 34:37Speaker 2: I was talking to Maurice every morning. He'd be working out.
- 34:39Speaker 2: He'd be talking to me. I got my earphones, I'm
- 34:41Speaker 2: shooting my videos. It's raining for whatever. And he's just like, yeah, man,
- 34:44Speaker 2: you got something special. Man, you're gonna be You're gonna.
- 34:47Speaker 6: Be that guy.
- 34:47Speaker 2: That's all he used to tell me. More used to
- 34:49Speaker 2: be like, yo, man, I'm telling you, man, I see
- 34:51Speaker 2: it in you. Man, I don't look at a lot
- 34:52Speaker 2: of kids, you know. He'd be like, it's a lot
- 34:54Speaker 2: of corny shit on it looking at a lot of
- 34:55Speaker 2: these cornballs, you know what I mean. He'd be like,
- 34:57Speaker 2: your shit is like it's real, it's passion, it's real.
- 35:00Speaker 2: I'm telling you gonna be like all right, man, all
- 35:01Speaker 2: to hear you, Maurice. But right now I'm living with
- 35:03Speaker 2: my grandmother. JPM just really was a pusher. He was
- 35:08Speaker 2: a dude that you know you gotta have them pushes
- 35:10Speaker 2: in your life. He was a dude that used to
- 35:11Speaker 2: push me be like, yo, you the ship you got,
- 35:13Speaker 2: it's something gonna happen. And he you know, I mean
- 35:16Speaker 2: he always say today like I told you. He was like,
- 35:18Speaker 2: I told you it was gonna pop. It's gonna pop.
- 35:20Speaker 2: He said, you ain't even heat up for real yet,
- 35:22Speaker 2: Like he still be talking like that. So it was
- 35:23Speaker 2: like he was a guy that told me about you
- 35:26Speaker 2: need a contract, you need this, you need you know
- 35:28Speaker 2: what I mean, You need a uh one sheet you
- 35:30Speaker 2: need He gave me a lot of games. One once
- 35:32Speaker 2: sheet is basically like but all your stuff when it
- 35:35Speaker 2: you got the one sheet and you got to e
- 35:36Speaker 2: p K like trying to press kid once she's like
- 35:38Speaker 2: all the brands you work with, like by all your
- 35:40Speaker 2: stuff and stuff like that. You got the logos on that.
- 35:42Speaker 2: And he gave me a lot of game man.
- 35:44Speaker 5: You gave me to As far as the deck, no idea,
- 35:47Speaker 5: A lot of people don't know about the that.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Proposal deck proposal that yeah, that's necessary when you got
- 35:51Speaker 2: something you're trying to propose or whatever. Sponsorship deck that
- 35:55Speaker 2: like you know them everything you know, you know what
- 35:57Speaker 2: I learned. Whatever you're trying to do is already on Google, bro,
- 36:00Speaker 2: Like you you can see ten plates, you can see
- 36:02Speaker 2: somebody else, Like if you type in sponsorship deck, it'll
- 36:05Speaker 2: pop up, you know, and then you got people like
- 36:07Speaker 2: you know on fiber. You get it done on fiber.
- 36:09Speaker 2: You know, all you gotta do is just have all
- 36:10Speaker 2: the language and they put it in the format, you know,
- 36:13Speaker 2: put the pictures there. They'll do anything. And it don't
- 36:15Speaker 2: call nothing. Like, everything you're trying to do is there already.
- 36:17Speaker 2: It's just about you know what I mean, you doing
- 36:19Speaker 2: the research. Like that's the number one thing that people don't.
- 36:22Speaker 2: People call and be like yo, while you do is
- 36:24Speaker 2: I'll be like, and I sent it to the screenshop.
- 36:26Speaker 2: I like, I just googled it, bro.
- 36:28Speaker 4: It was crazy when when you sent it over, we
- 36:30Speaker 4: were like, oh, this is what a deck.
- 36:31Speaker 6: No, that's the fact that literally was like, all right,
- 36:34Speaker 6: we should use that. They put this here.
- 36:36Speaker 3: Yeah, we ain't have no experience, you know, I'm a
- 36:38Speaker 3: financial advisor, choice of educated. Were just coming into the
- 36:41Speaker 3: podcast game. So we just learned it as we go.
- 36:43Speaker 3: So when you sent that to me. I'm like, oh, okay,
- 36:46Speaker 3: this makes sense. This is how we posted actually formatic.
- 36:49Speaker 4: So you know what, we got to write a bio
- 36:51Speaker 4: about ourselves.
- 36:52Speaker 5: Just copy yeah, like exactly, like we didn't know that.
- 36:55Speaker 2: And all you're doing, all you're doing is like one
- 36:57Speaker 2: deck is the same deck. Some doings might be fancied,
- 36:59Speaker 2: but all that shit this is the same stuff and
- 37:01Speaker 2: it's about just uh when you see it, I know
- 37:03Speaker 2: when you see it. He was like, Yo, this is
- 37:05Speaker 2: like simple we like it ain't nothing, you know what
- 37:08Speaker 2: I mean? And it be real like that, Like I
- 37:10Speaker 2: just be trying to help people want to ask pect
- 37:12Speaker 2: of like uh, I get my blessings you know from
- 37:15Speaker 2: helping people, Like it ain't you know. It ain't like
- 37:17Speaker 2: I'm looking for turn like just trying to school people
- 37:20Speaker 2: and help people like because like I get excited when
- 37:23Speaker 2: I could find somebody that want to listen, because a
- 37:25Speaker 2: lot of people might blow me off, like damn dude,
- 37:27Speaker 2: crazy tripping and there they don't understand that I'm very informative.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Like dudes used to call me. Some of dudes U
- 37:32Speaker 2: to call me the information king in jail because I
- 37:34Speaker 2: used to always give up information that was my thing. Yo,
- 37:37Speaker 2: my girl trying to start this. Oh yeah, she need this,
- 37:39Speaker 2: get with L and I. He go this, he go
- 37:40Speaker 2: to LLC. If she don't want to LLC, Yes, you
- 37:42Speaker 2: get a DBA doing business ass fix it your name
- 37:45Speaker 2: application with his dad. But when we go to like
- 37:47Speaker 2: I used to always be on that time, like you
- 37:49Speaker 2: know what I mean, It was just like you want
- 37:51Speaker 2: to start a food truck or hey, I got to
- 37:52Speaker 2: print out of the food truck. Here goes all these things
- 37:54Speaker 2: that the ell and I want you to have. You
- 37:55Speaker 2: gotta have you gotta head the sink right here, you
- 37:58Speaker 2: gotta have this in there, you gotta have this, you
- 37:59Speaker 2: gotta be this many feet, all the paperwork right here.
- 38:02Speaker 2: So it was like that was my thing, you know
- 38:04Speaker 2: what I mean. So coming out here, that's shit easy.
- 38:06Speaker 3: And I know a video that you I really like.
- 38:08Speaker 3: One of my favorite videos of you is when you
- 38:10Speaker 3: talk about like relationships, Like a lot of times people
- 38:14Speaker 3: scared to like like no new friends and like they
- 38:18Speaker 3: scared to build relationships with people.
- 38:19Speaker 2: But you like how you're going to that's leverage for me,
- 38:21Speaker 2: Like coming in the black community, Like a lot of
- 38:23Speaker 2: times in the black community, we don't want to mess
- 38:26Speaker 2: with nobody that we don't know. But in reality, a
- 38:29Speaker 2: lot of times to people we know, they don't really
- 38:30Speaker 2: mess with us. When we trying to start selling to
- 38:32Speaker 2: do like you'll be like, oh, I don't mess with
- 38:34Speaker 2: this person. I don't mess with this person. You don't
- 38:36Speaker 2: even mess with the people I understand. You don't even
- 38:38Speaker 2: mess with the people that you post to mess with
- 38:39Speaker 2: her they post and mess with you. It would just
- 38:41Speaker 2: be crazy. Just be like, it's a mindset that people
- 38:43Speaker 2: got to get rid off grid of in order to win.
- 38:46Speaker 4: That was the post today, right, It was like, Yo,
- 38:48Speaker 4: investing in the people who are interested in you.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Yeah, you gotta invest in people. That's just like, that's
- 38:52Speaker 2: going to invest in you. Man. I don't be like man,
- 38:54Speaker 2: I don't be like I really don't be caring man,
- 38:56Speaker 2: Like I go and talk to anybody, man, I don't care.
- 38:58Speaker 6: Who you is.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Like like I will walk up to you and say
- 39:01Speaker 2: start talking to you. I would DM you and go
- 39:03Speaker 2: right into full bloom conversation like I know you. No,
- 39:05Speaker 2: that's a fact.
- 39:06Speaker 3: Like I said, when you DM me and we spoke
- 39:07Speaker 3: for like two hours, like I never spoke to you
- 39:09Speaker 3: ever in life. You DM me like Yo, what's your number?
- 39:12Speaker 3: I text you my number and we spoke for like
- 39:15Speaker 3: two hours. That's the first time we spoke. And I'm like, Yo,
- 39:17Speaker 3: it's just genuine, dude, because it was like he didn't
- 39:20Speaker 3: ask for nothing, It just wanted to just have a conversation.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I love information. I listen because what it is is
- 39:26Speaker 2: like you sharp in my blade too, because it's information.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Is the energy and information or exchange a value exchange.
- 39:33Speaker 2: I know you had something going on with this, and
- 39:35Speaker 2: I knew that, like from the pieces I was seeing
- 39:38Speaker 2: you throwing out. I was like, Yo, that shit was decent.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Like I was just so fascinated with that because I
- 39:43Speaker 2: never seen nobody do that on social media. And I'm like, Yo,
- 39:46Speaker 2: these boys next up. And I wanted to let you know,
- 39:48Speaker 2: Like yo, bro, you next level is some shit. Keep
- 39:50Speaker 2: doing this.
- 39:50Speaker 6: Shit.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Ain't nobody doing this? You really could kill them because
- 39:55Speaker 2: like y'all put out the type of information, wheres though
- 40:00Speaker 2: the dude that's working the corporate America. It could catch
- 40:03Speaker 2: the kid that is going to you know, whether you
- 40:06Speaker 2: know a p w I predominant white institutional kid is
- 40:10Speaker 2: going to HBCU. They catch the person that's working at KFC,
- 40:16Speaker 2: they catch the borders in the trap house selling dope.
- 40:18Speaker 2: It's a fact because like the like the way y'all
- 40:21Speaker 2: put it tighter, the way I'll be like, damn, you know,
- 40:23Speaker 2: like when y'all did that one too, one of the
- 40:24Speaker 2: major best joins, when y'all was talking about Supreme how
- 40:27Speaker 2: Supreme game Camp you know cam, and I'm like, ten
- 40:30Speaker 2: thousand jones the for more than they wound up selling
- 40:32Speaker 2: it for a billion years later. How to utilize the
- 40:35Speaker 2: culture to elevate their stuff, and then they said, I'm
- 40:38Speaker 2: out of here, Like I think that's major, you.
- 40:41Speaker 6: Know, just giving it to them the way they can
- 40:44Speaker 6: digest it.
- 40:44Speaker 2: It's digest y'all. Shit is digestible. It's simplistic and it's digestible.
- 40:48Speaker 2: And that's major for y'all to be your educated, your finance,
- 40:51Speaker 2: like for y'all to be on the high level, y'all
- 40:53Speaker 2: was smart enough to understand I got to talk to
- 40:55Speaker 2: my people where they are, you know what I'm saying,
- 40:57Speaker 2: even though some people might be up here, but I'm
- 40:58Speaker 2: gonna talk to you where everybody gets for me.
- 41:01Speaker 3: That's the fact I want to ask you too. For
- 41:03Speaker 3: the last segment, consistency because you're like one of the
- 41:05Speaker 3: most consistent people I've seen, Like you you you really
- 41:10Speaker 3: be on it, Like how how important is that? And
- 41:13Speaker 3: like how do you you you post? Do you have
- 41:15Speaker 3: your post already set the night before, like you know,
- 41:17Speaker 3: like the schedule already or No.
- 41:19Speaker 2: I get up some time and bang them out with
- 41:20Speaker 2: Sometimes I might bang out a bunch of the day. Depends.
- 41:23Speaker 2: It always depends on It always depends on where I'm
- 41:25Speaker 2: at with it, because it's like with me, it's like
- 41:30Speaker 2: I just got It's just a feeling like I might know,
- 41:33Speaker 2: like I'm getting up tomorrow like five and I'm wilding
- 41:35Speaker 2: the fuck out. Yeah.
- 41:36Speaker 4: Yeah, Now it's dope because like I thought, like maybe
- 41:39Speaker 4: And every time we do an interview, it's different with
- 41:42Speaker 4: the person who comes. Usually there'll be like two or
- 41:44Speaker 4: three people with them, or they have a videographer and
- 41:47Speaker 4: you coming, it's just you and you're like, yeah, it's
- 41:48Speaker 4: just me, Like I'm curing everything I'm putting.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Yeah, because I got to. Because it's like a lot
- 41:53Speaker 2: of people they ain't ready for that ship. Like a
- 41:56Speaker 2: lot of people say they want to go, but they
- 41:57Speaker 2: don't be ready. Man. I had a lot of bad
- 41:59Speaker 2: experience with videoographers. They ain't turning my ship around on
- 42:02Speaker 2: time they hold my stuff. I'm like, I'm not dealing
- 42:04Speaker 2: with it. I got to take care to people. I
- 42:06Speaker 2: can't take it to people if you hold me up.
- 42:09Speaker 2: That's the fact. All right. So we're gonna head to
- 42:11Speaker 2: the last time.
- 42:12Speaker 3: We're gona talk about the number one podcast, your podcasts
- 42:14Speaker 3: and merchants as well, for sure. Me me, me, me,
- 42:19Speaker 3: all right, son, we're gonna finish it out. I want
- 42:21Speaker 3: to talk about the podcast though, because we got obviously
- 42:24Speaker 3: we got a podcast. But so you got a podcast
- 42:27Speaker 3: with your cousin Gilly Yah, y'all te it up, man,
- 42:31Speaker 3: y'all turn it up on audio, your tann up on YouTube.
- 42:34Speaker 5: What was the idea for that?
- 42:35Speaker 3: Because that's that's actually dope too, because y'all got two
- 42:37Speaker 3: different I look at you, it's like two different brands.
- 42:42Speaker 3: Like you know what I'm saying. It's like two different brands.
- 42:44Speaker 3: It's too, completely different brands. Your family obviously, so like,
- 42:50Speaker 3: but that's actually a dope. Like even from a business standpoint,
- 42:53Speaker 3: it's like Gilly got his following, you got your following?
- 42:57Speaker 3: Was that the idea? Like, yo, lit' let's just combine
- 43:00Speaker 3: this and like really just blow it out the water.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Yeah, Gilly always been doing this thing because always been
- 43:05Speaker 2: doing this thing with Millie hours worth a game. They're
- 43:07Speaker 2: giving up that stuff on answer for years. I'm talking
- 43:09Speaker 2: about for years. He's doing this ship for like ten years, right,
- 43:14Speaker 2: I mean, and and me and him is always he
- 43:17Speaker 2: was always together. They was like, damn, start a podcast
- 43:19Speaker 2: because we always together, tripping out doing us living all life.
- 43:23Speaker 2: We just yeah, we just documented all life because we
- 43:25Speaker 2: still on some ship. Like I came home from prison.
- 43:26Speaker 2: We still on some ship like before I went like young,
- 43:28Speaker 2: we just be tripping out all day. That's how we
- 43:30Speaker 2: you know, we just we live. We don't give like
- 43:33Speaker 2: we really don't care, you know what I mean.
- 43:34Speaker 4: I think the first time, the first time I ever
- 43:36Speaker 4: heard the word not ass was like, Gilly call you that.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Yeah yeah he was that's like a Philly saying that,
- 43:41Speaker 2: you know. I mean, I mean so it was like
- 43:44Speaker 2: we said we the people kept asking about that podcast,
- 43:46Speaker 2: y'all need a podcast, and we did it, and he
- 43:49Speaker 2: just like took you know, I even.
- 43:51Speaker 4: Called you about I was about to say, like I
- 43:53Speaker 4: called you like yo, man, how you you know what
- 43:55Speaker 4: I mean?
- 43:56Speaker 2: I was on that call.
- 43:56Speaker 4: I remember it was like humbling to me because I'm like, yo,
- 43:59Speaker 4: why I asked questions? One thing about one thing that's
- 44:03Speaker 4: good about me? I asked stuff, what type mike? You
- 44:05Speaker 4: type of this?
- 44:05Speaker 2: That? And third, because I was just gonna shoot on
- 44:07Speaker 2: my iPhone. You know, I like I shoot whereas well,
- 44:08Speaker 2: I ain't care. He was like, no, we can't do
- 44:10Speaker 2: it because we got to get the audio. And I
- 44:12Speaker 2: was all right, cool because because you know, I'm cool,
- 44:13Speaker 2: I just.
- 44:14Speaker 4: Go At that point, I was like yo, I felt
- 44:17Speaker 4: like an engineer. I'm like, yo, he just asked me
- 44:18Speaker 4: what we're using? How we That's how you about me?
- 44:21Speaker 4: One thing about me validated? Now I take advantage of information.
- 44:25Speaker 2: I take advantage of the ax, meaning you got to
- 44:28Speaker 2: ask somebody like we be people be out here thinking,
- 44:30Speaker 2: oh I got it off. Fuck No, I'm going to
- 44:32Speaker 2: ask you so at least I get some game. And
- 44:35Speaker 2: if I mess up and you told me what was right,
- 44:37Speaker 2: that's on me. But I'm gonna ask you. If I
- 44:39Speaker 2: know you doing it and you're making it happen, I'm like, yo,
- 44:41Speaker 2: how you do this? You know what I'm saying.
- 44:43Speaker 5: Now it's so for me because like you said before
- 44:45Speaker 5: that call.
- 44:46Speaker 3: You caught me before you started the podcast because we
- 44:48Speaker 3: had a podcast going already, and you was like, yo,
- 44:50Speaker 3: were about to start this podcast and you asked me,
- 44:53Speaker 3: like who we use? We used income, we use anchor,
- 44:56Speaker 3: and I was telling you like different stuff like that,
- 44:58Speaker 3: and it it was dope for me to watch that
- 45:02Speaker 3: like to where it is now to like the number
- 45:06Speaker 3: one podcast, Like you know what I'm saying. It's like
- 45:08Speaker 3: you literally, but I just see this was crazy.
- 45:10Speaker 2: The only thing I didn't done it was a brother
- 45:11Speaker 2: name and Philly named Prince down. Now one thing about him.
- 45:17Speaker 2: I called him and he put me down with buzz sprout.
- 45:20Speaker 2: He was like that because I was like, yo, because
- 45:22Speaker 2: I seen that, y'all think it was a little more laborate.
- 45:24Speaker 2: His thing was more simplistic. He just had the joint.
- 45:27Speaker 2: I'm like, yo, man, what you on you use? Man?
- 45:29Speaker 2: He said, wow, I used buzz Probably sent me the
- 45:31Speaker 2: joints like he go to package to get. I ain't
- 45:33Speaker 2: get the package because we wound up going to the
- 45:35Speaker 2: studio where they had anything in there. But he sent
- 45:37Speaker 2: me the package of what to get. He was like, Yo,
- 45:40Speaker 2: get this wallow and he was like, uh, he was
- 45:43Speaker 2: like this the platform I used, buzz Sprout. I was like, well, see,
- 45:46Speaker 2: he said, many get you all your analytics, they spit
- 45:48Speaker 2: you awyway. They put you on Apple Spotify, boom boom.
- 45:50Speaker 2: All you do is uploaded and to go where you
- 45:52Speaker 2: set the date. I was like, oh, this is like
- 45:53Speaker 2: thistro kid or like too cool. Yeah. Man, then it
- 45:57Speaker 2: was like it was a rap.
- 45:59Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, we had that kind of I'm like, yeah,
- 46:01Speaker 3: they send it to different outlet and yeah.
- 46:04Speaker 5: So to see it number one in a short period
- 46:06Speaker 5: of time.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Yeah yeah. Yeah. The first day we came out, we
- 46:11Speaker 2: went we went all the way up to number two
- 46:14Speaker 2: in comedy. Then we went all the way to number
- 46:17Speaker 2: four and every podcast on Apple that day. So that
- 46:20Speaker 2: was dope, you know what I mean. Then we went
- 46:23Speaker 2: you know what I mean, we was in music category
- 46:25Speaker 2: and we went to we did number one seventeen weeks
- 46:27Speaker 2: Street congratulations on.
- 46:30Speaker 3: So like the podcast, right, because we have a podcast obviously,
- 46:35Speaker 3: So I always tell people like this, different business opportunities
- 46:38Speaker 3: off for that.
- 46:39Speaker 5: So like now you do like live shows, you can.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Do live shows. You got you got live shows, you
- 46:43Speaker 2: got merch, you got advertising dollars, all that stuff. Man,
- 46:46Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying, like like, if you got
- 46:48Speaker 2: a podcast, you got YouTube, YouTube, YouTube money. Yeah, that's
- 46:51Speaker 2: that's sick.
- 46:53Speaker 6: Let's not over that.
- 46:55Speaker 2: But what I'm saying is this, if you got a podcast,
- 46:58Speaker 2: that's how you make it. You got the YouTube money,
- 47:01Speaker 2: you got your merch, you got your live show. You
- 47:03Speaker 2: gotta catch man. I don't care if you did a
- 47:05Speaker 2: live show, Like a lot of people think, oh you
- 47:06Speaker 2: need all these people. You might do a live show
- 47:08Speaker 2: for thirty people in charge. You might do a live
- 47:11Speaker 2: show for fifty. But you build it up. You create
- 47:13Speaker 2: a great experience of dope experience, you know, and you
- 47:16Speaker 2: might get bartered. The spot, the location, create the dope experience,
- 47:19Speaker 2: and people gonna tell other people they're gonna build up.
- 47:22Speaker 2: Now you make money off the YouTube to merch, the
- 47:24Speaker 2: live show, the ad dollars. You know what I'm saying,
- 47:28Speaker 2: that's where you cake up off here. Ad Dallas is
- 47:30Speaker 2: like this. A lot of people think the reality is
- 47:33Speaker 2: it's over, Like what million podcasts? Yeah, it's close to
- 47:40Speaker 2: a million podcasts. The one percent of podcasts is the
- 47:44Speaker 2: ones that do like fifty thousand plus per episode. We're
- 47:48Speaker 2: part of that one million dollars with a game is
- 47:49Speaker 2: one part of that one percent out of the podcast industry.
- 47:53Speaker 6: Per week or for a thirty day stretch.
- 47:54Speaker 2: No, every time, we like like per episode, every episode,
- 47:58Speaker 2: not just the week, like the episode because the week
- 48:00Speaker 2: we might do something stupid, but the week you go crazy.
- 48:03Speaker 2: But like each episode, you know what I mean, we
- 48:04Speaker 2: fin that we're gonna do fifty, So it's like or
- 48:07Speaker 2: more so it's like or number one joint did like
- 48:10Speaker 2: one something one dred thousand y'all first showing that shit
- 48:13Speaker 2: did crazy. But like the whole thing is like understanding
- 48:17Speaker 2: that once you get them numbers, like everybody ain't gonna
- 48:21Speaker 2: do get the Joe Buttens deal. Everybody's not gonna sign
- 48:24Speaker 2: the big you know, the big deals or whatever. But
- 48:27Speaker 2: what you can do is this, if you have a
- 48:30Speaker 2: podcast and it's a local pocket like get your on local.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Even though you put on the podcast thing it's national,
- 48:34Speaker 2: it's global global. But if you could build your brand
- 48:38Speaker 2: up enough, you could be able to approach local businesses.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Local like there's no rules to who can sponsor you
- 48:46Speaker 2: or who could pay for ads on your podcast. You
- 48:48Speaker 2: get the corner if the corner store want to say
- 48:51Speaker 2: you know what I mean, This Mike's Corner store, this
- 48:52Speaker 2: Mike Hogy shop, or this what's his name cheese steak,
- 48:55Speaker 2: or this what's called Charlie Hotter or the car dealer
- 48:58Speaker 2: shop or the I'm telling you, I don't care all
- 49:01Speaker 2: this clothing line and dependent clothing line. Anybody can sponsor
- 49:04Speaker 2: your podcast and you come up, yeah, how you doing?
- 49:08Speaker 2: You know? How you doing? This is a this is
- 49:10Speaker 2: to get this is to get down podcasts, you know,
- 49:12Speaker 2: and we sponsored by Mikey's T shirts. It could be
- 49:14Speaker 2: sponsored by anybody. Stop thinking that, you know, you just
- 49:18Speaker 2: got to figure out what is the worth and itself.
- 49:20Speaker 2: It's cool to build up like they might be. You
- 49:23Speaker 2: might have somebody sponsoring your podcast and they might not
- 49:26Speaker 2: be giving you money. They might be giving you the
- 49:28Speaker 2: location to do it. Then you might have somebody sponsoring
- 49:30Speaker 2: your podcasts and they might buy you the equipment. They
- 49:33Speaker 2: might buy you better mics, and they might buy you
- 49:35Speaker 2: better if or whatever. Like you might don't you It
- 49:37Speaker 2: might don't be about money. It might be a barter.
- 49:40Speaker 2: You see what I'm saying. Somebody might sponsor your podcast.
- 49:42Speaker 2: It depends on what you're looking for. I'm just saying
- 49:44Speaker 2: anybody ain't probably don't get the money. You might have
- 49:46Speaker 2: somebody to just give you the food for every time
- 49:48Speaker 2: you have a podcast, Like it's different things.
- 49:51Speaker 6: Man.
- 49:51Speaker 2: You might go. You might go and get with the
- 49:54Speaker 2: with's some places that they sell the mics and the
- 49:57Speaker 2: speakers and all. Guitar Center might get a sponsor from
- 50:01Speaker 2: Guitar Center. They might sponsor your equipment, make sure you
- 50:03Speaker 2: got new stuff. And you say, yeah, this is brought
- 50:05Speaker 2: to you by a Guitar Center. You know what I'm saying,
- 50:07Speaker 2: Like we gotta understand like in this podcast game, it's
- 50:09Speaker 2: just like it's like there's no real top flight structure
- 50:14Speaker 2: on it. How you can be like how you know
- 50:15Speaker 2: what I mean? Who go? Like you really could create
- 50:18Speaker 2: your own world and could create your own success off
- 50:20Speaker 2: of this stuff. I'm talking about just anything that you
- 50:23Speaker 2: could think of I'm talking about. I'm talking about anything.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Could be a peanut company, it could be it could
- 50:28Speaker 2: be anything I'm talking about. It could be RNs Strouss,
- 50:30Speaker 2: it could be autozoned, it could be h I don't know,
- 50:33Speaker 2: it could be just anything. It could be a print shop.
- 50:37Speaker 2: I mean, they can sponsor you, so so have the
- 50:40Speaker 2: to just have to have the have that just the
- 50:45Speaker 2: outlook of I could step to anybody, but make sure
- 50:47Speaker 2: you got your you know, your infrastructure together, you got
- 50:50Speaker 2: your you know, you know, your introduction kit together, and
- 50:53Speaker 2: just go at people.
- 50:54Speaker 4: Man, I'm talking about but think about it. Anybody that's
- 50:58Speaker 4: probably be an independent too. Yeah, cause if you're the
- 51:00Speaker 4: umbrella of somebody else, then there might be some some
- 51:04Speaker 4: language in there where you couldn't do it. But yeah,
- 51:06Speaker 4: being independent skiing part.
- 51:07Speaker 3: That's so one thing you said about you know women
- 51:12Speaker 3: always they show a lot of love and they give
- 51:15Speaker 3: game and all that. And your lady is an entrepreneur.
- 51:18Speaker 3: She ain't no joke, she's a monster.
- 51:20Speaker 2: She gives me game like she she give me game
- 51:22Speaker 2: like we'll be sitting back, going in bed and just
- 51:24Speaker 2: trading game. God's intentions, motivation, education were good, but that
- 51:27Speaker 2: we play like it's like ping pong. She'd say something
- 51:29Speaker 2: like dann, She's like, yeah, that's I say something. She
- 51:32Speaker 2: was like, I'll be like damn that yeah. So and
- 51:34Speaker 2: and it's real, it's real. Uh, it's a nurturing. It's
- 51:36Speaker 2: real nurturing when you got somebody that you can shoot
- 51:39Speaker 2: back and forth and then in that mind is there
- 51:41Speaker 2: that mind of understanding marketing and understanding the game, understanding
- 51:45Speaker 2: the temperature of the environment, understanding that that's major.
- 51:48Speaker 3: Yeah, because I told you about all the time. It's
- 51:50Speaker 3: like your partner could even make or break you, like.
- 51:53Speaker 2: They gonna either they gonna hold you down and hold
- 51:54Speaker 2: you up.
- 51:54Speaker 4: That's right, absolute, That's.
- 51:58Speaker 3: A gym for sure. What made you want to get
- 52:01Speaker 3: into the trademark game? Because I know you got a
- 52:04Speaker 3: lot of I.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Told you it was a guy in jail that gave
- 52:06Speaker 2: me the game, like he was he was an intellectual
- 52:08Speaker 2: property attorney. It was arrested and he gave me the
- 52:10Speaker 2: game by trademarks. Nice to read about it. And then
- 52:12Speaker 2: I was always curious about brands, and I was, you know,
- 52:14Speaker 2: growing up. You see that, see that logo, and you
- 52:17Speaker 2: see that R two PAGs of what's name? Like what that?
- 52:20Speaker 2: And then you realize, I'm like trademark registered. It was deep,
- 52:23Speaker 2: you know because New York versus the world, That's mine,
- 52:26Speaker 2: New York versus the World is mine, Atlanta versus the
- 52:28Speaker 2: World is mine, Philadelphia versus the World is mine, Houston
- 52:31Speaker 2: versus the World is mine. Wallow two sixty seven is mine? Uh?
- 52:35Speaker 2: Were on million dollars worth of game.
- 52:37Speaker 6: It's just like that.
- 52:39Speaker 2: No, that's not mine. Ain't just crazy a lot, it's crazy.
- 52:41Speaker 2: It's cool. No, somebody had that, but it's cool. Uh,
- 52:45Speaker 2: there's always money in Lanta, Philadelphia, all that stuff like
- 52:47Speaker 2: New York, always money in real estate, always money in
- 52:50Speaker 2: real estate.
- 52:50Speaker 6: That's big.
- 52:50Speaker 2: I forgot about that. But like, you know, it's so
- 52:53Speaker 2: much more. But it's like I believe, you know, just
- 52:55Speaker 2: trademark you stuff. It's simple a couple of hundred hours man.
- 52:58Speaker 4: And you're trademarking it on just the merch or being
- 53:01Speaker 4: used in any.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Like basically I basically trademarking for what I use it for.
- 53:05Speaker 2: You know what I mean. I mean it's just too
- 53:07Speaker 2: many categories. That's something we have to learn too. It's
- 53:10Speaker 2: like thirty category.
- 53:11Speaker 3: But like we learned that on the fly took We
- 53:13Speaker 3: trademarked as a reliability. We trademarked or a leisure And
- 53:17Speaker 3: I didn't know that when you trademark something, it's not
- 53:20Speaker 3: just like our trademark it.
- 53:21Speaker 5: It's like twelve different categories sports, Like it's like.
- 53:25Speaker 2: Ertain Like you got furniture, you ain't gonna trademark for furniture,
- 53:29Speaker 2: Like what's the point. You ain't gonna trademark for steel
- 53:32Speaker 2: or irons and ship, you know what I mean. So
- 53:34Speaker 2: it's like it's different stuff different countries to different countries too.
- 53:38Speaker 3: Now it's dope and it's like all this stuff is
- 53:41Speaker 3: just we just learning, like you know what I mean.
- 53:42Speaker 3: That's the whole thing with the podcast. It's like it's
- 53:44Speaker 3: so much stuff that we don't know.
- 53:45Speaker 2: It's like we just I like, y'all learn and y'all
- 53:47Speaker 2: give it out. That's it. That's the key. That's the key,
- 53:50Speaker 2: that's the back.
- 53:51Speaker 3: So speaking of the podcast, you got you got you
- 53:53Speaker 3: gotta announcement. Man, by the time this episode drops, you.
- 53:56Speaker 2: You know, we signed a partnership with a bar Sports
- 53:58Speaker 2: and it was a great partnership of you know, just
- 54:02Speaker 2: a nice and nice partnership. They coming in and they're
- 54:06Speaker 2: helping us. They really putting gasoline on the situation, and
- 54:09Speaker 2: they understand our brand. They respected, We got all created.
- 54:12Speaker 2: We keep all creative control because it's a partnership, you
- 54:15Speaker 2: know what I mean. We didn't sell our brand. We
- 54:16Speaker 2: didn't sell you know what I mean, sell our stuff,
- 54:17Speaker 2: and uh it's great man, like this stuff. You know,
- 54:20Speaker 2: we did that within like thirty seven episode thirty six,
- 54:23Speaker 2: we close it down. I mean we was able to
- 54:25Speaker 2: negotiate something. Uh. We was in talk with other companies
- 54:28Speaker 2: like Spotify, you know, other people, and it was like
- 54:30Speaker 2: it's great, man, it was like it was all great commos. Man.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Everybody came at us, right, you know. We we we
- 54:35Speaker 2: we we went with the uh, we went with the company.
- 54:38Speaker 2: We fell as though it's gonna be uh, it's gonna
- 54:40Speaker 2: be more mutually beneficial for both of us. And we're
- 54:42Speaker 2: gon we're gonna be able to win. Yeah, man, win
- 54:44Speaker 2: the team that man. Congratulations for sure.
- 54:46Speaker 3: And once you said it's like when you get high,
- 54:48Speaker 3: it's like the law of inertia, like once something gets moving,
- 54:52Speaker 3: it's it like and I always tell people all a time,
- 54:54Speaker 3: like when you have a spark of fire, you gotta
- 54:56Speaker 3: throw gasoline on it.
- 54:58Speaker 2: And it's the gasoline, come gasoline on it. This serious guya.
- 55:05Speaker 3: Ah wow, man, I appreciate that, man, thank you for.
- 55:10Speaker 2: I had to come, man, I had to come and
- 55:12Speaker 2: show y'all some love y'all, y'all keep doing y'all thing.
- 55:14Speaker 2: Y'all gonna be big y'all in the space by y'allself
- 55:17Speaker 2: y'all giving them game, y'all, Educating our people, y'all, y'all
- 55:20Speaker 2: making our people want to want to want look forward
- 55:24Speaker 2: to information. That's major when y'all can because y'all, because
- 55:27Speaker 2: it's like it's digestible as you know, and you know,
