- 0:34Let's get stuck in guys. Welcome back to the ASP world.

- 0:51advocates for autism. We're going to do this together.
- 0:53We're going to build a potential, a world, a future
- 0:56full of awesome opportunities for assisting individuals.
- 0:58I want you to be there on my side, helping me bring this to
- 1:00fruition. It's going to be amazing.
- 1:02You guys are awesome. Let's get us stuck in right now,
- 1:05guys. Auspicious.
- 1:06And girls, auspicious is a term that we don't really use
- 1:08anymore. We use kind of like lower
- 1:10support needs, autism spectrum disorder.
- 1:12It's a bit of a long winded way of saying it, but the reasons
- 1:14for this, however, we're here to talk about the role of therapy
- 1:18in helping autism, right? So The thing is, you can't cure
- 1:21autism. Autism is a incurable
- 1:23neurological developmental condition, but you can treat
- 1:26symptomatic issues of autism, right?
- 1:28So one of the things I would say is therapy is the best way to do
- 1:31this. I do take medication and I have
- 1:33therapy now I've had all kinds of therapy from in person
- 1:37counselling to digital counselling over my using my
- 1:39iPhone with an app called better help, which FYI guys, I actually
- 1:43recommend. So if you are interested in
- 1:45checking out using an app to you know, as as your therapist, you
- 1:49can talk on video or or voice call or you can just text them.
- 1:52Better help is amazing because within 24 to 48 hours they hook
- 1:55me up with a specialist in autism and ADHD because you put
- 1:58in your credentials. It's absolutely amazing and I
- 2:00did from the comfort my own home.
- 2:01I was actually sat in bed at one point.
- 2:02So it's amazing. I definitely recommend it.
- 2:04So check them out below. However, I've done all types of
- 2:06stuff, occupational therapy, all down to like intensive kind of
- 2:09like counseling. What I would say is that therapy
- 2:12is the quickest way for self realization and self
- 2:15knowingness. And when you have a therapist
- 2:17that works on things that are specific to you as a person,
- 2:21nothing compares to it. You can take a medication which
- 2:24will take off some kind of issues and maybe take the edge
- 2:27off certain things like anxiety and depression and stuff like
- 2:30that. But when you say I have a
- 2:31problem in this area of my life, I, they need specific help in
- 2:35this one area and a therapist says, hey, I can help you in
- 2:39that one area. You win every time.
- 2:40It's kind of like the golden ticket to realizing that one
- 2:43thing. So I actually work one-on-one
- 2:45with a lot of clients. I do coaching, so I coach
- 2:47people, you know, So say you wanted to reach out to me now
- 2:50and know more about certain things.
- 2:52You'd e-mail me and say, Dan, I want to do coaching and I'd send
- 2:55you my coaching link and you book in and I work on a specific
- 2:58thing. Say you said to me, oh, I'm
- 2:59having a difficult time in the relationship with my partner, my
- 3:02spouse, and we work on those issues.
- 3:04So therapy actually has a very important role and actually has
- 3:07one of the most important roles. Yeah.
- 3:09I think it's the least thought about thing when people think
- 3:12about autism because when you go online and you look for stuff
- 3:14and you read about things, reading and looking is one
- 3:16thing. But when you're actively getting
- 3:18tactile feedback, when you're sitting with somebody, when
- 3:20you're, when you're trying stuff, when you're, when you're
- 3:22getting told to do protocol and practices and you follow them
- 3:25through, you actually win every time you do that because
- 3:28practice makes progress and you win every time.
- 3:30Now guys, I have a free autism wife hacks PDF Booker
- 3:33autismhacks.net that you can get right now.
- 3:35And if you have anything to add this video, pop it in a comment
- 3:37and read every single one and share this video if you think
- 3:39somebody can benefit. All right, guys, I'll see you in
- 3:41the next one. Peace.
