Canada is losing some of its most educated and ambitious people to the United States. New figures highlighted by the White House show a reported 142% increase in immigrant visas issued to Canadians compared with earlier monthly averages, even as immigration visas decline dramatically for much of the world.

And the most disturbing part isn't how many Canadians are leaving.

It's WHO is leaving.

According to Statistics Canada, nearly 70% of Canadian emigrants in its 2021 analysis had university degrees. Many were young professionals in their prime working years.
