Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: and Drake Greenlaw behind you and the 49er safeties behind them are playing up to par uh... definitely better than what we've seen past few years that's covering up a lot of kind of the stink that the defense attack room is just getting bully uh... back to back weeks and even if you you know air and brewer the center for the doff it's one of the highest paid centers pretty damn good
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: man, there's so much just negative tape that's been put up that games have been so far out of reach that these offices have had to band in the run.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to be in tight games at some point this year.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: Probably soon you got a division game, you know, this week Cardinals aren't great, but
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: In a close game, teams are going to be able to rely on the run game, and that third and fourth quarter, and that has to be a major concern with the stacking of injuries at the defense of tackle room.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like you said, you're missing way too many bodies, and now you're just grabbing guys off the street other practice quads you're bringing in.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: somebody's got to step up.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure who the answer is going to be.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the 49ers are sure what the answer is going to be.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so can't play every snap on defense and he can't play two defensive tackle spots in at one time.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, it's funny watching us, I mean, and I really love Hosa as far as the past Russia, but I can see why Dallas moved him.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's not very good against the run.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's not good at anchoring against the run.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you're right.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: He can't do both jobs by himself.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: He in an ideal world, you have also Digi Zu a next to just a behemoth who can two gap and really absorb blockers and keep them off of green lock, keep them off of Warner.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: keep them from climbing to that second level.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, look what's happened.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: CJ West fourth round pick out for an extended period of time.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: It kills on the pop, but you also have any of Samo on the IR, and you have Alfred Collins done for the year.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, you really beat up.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: And then, of course, the price and ease and loss of price and ease and is especially painful right now because he was healthy and looking good.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: And you don't have him.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: So now the defensive tackle room is also Digi Zua.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: The guy that we probably should talk about a lot is Grace and Halton.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like Grace and Halton is a young star.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: He looks good against the run and the pass.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: James Thompson is walk by me in the locker room today.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's got a gigantic boot on his right leg.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so he's got a high ankle sprain.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be gone probably three to six weeks.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: So right now, it's Oso Digi Zoo.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's Grace and Halton, and it's Nate Juan Jones.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: And if they want to, they could, you know, they have Kevin Givens, they've Sebastian Valdez, but they're more penetrator past pressure types.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: If they want to, they can call McKinley Jackson, I think that's the call.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: And McKinley Jackson is powerful.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I kind of think McKinley Jackson might be better than Nikwan Jones.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we'll see.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: Nikwan Jones is, you know, with plucked off Minnesota's practice squad.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: So he immediately goes to the active roster where
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: You know, McKinley, Nick one, Jones, because the active roster McKinley Jackson on the practice squad.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: I talked to McKinley today at his locker and he said he's ready to go.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: He understands the scheme.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: He knows he feels good.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's been here for a week or two.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's had some practices.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: He said he's ready to play against Arizona if need be.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: I liked McKinley Jackson.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: He was a two-time captain at Texas A&M.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: He was a third-round pick by the Bengals.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't really work out there, but he might be the exact kind of piece that they need next to OSA.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_00]: But they got to come up with something because watching that film
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: It was devastation.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the defense of line was getting paved in.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: The dolphins had combo blocks that were just driving the Niners' defensive tackles three to five yards into the backfield, you know, it was just,
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: And today I'm some watching the D-line drills.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking over and there's RJ Gillen and there's Tureka mod and there's the nine or, you know, personnel assistance to lunch and they're putting their eyes on it up close to because they, they're like me, they want to see who the heck can play out of this group and let's make some evaluations and get this thing improved as fast as possible.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: They got a couple of these guys have to play.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: I mean,
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they don't need to be world-beaters, John, but they need Nikwan Jones or McKinley Jackson or Grayson Halton to be probably all three of them to be able to play a significant snaps and be stout against the run and, you know, not get just blown off the line of scrimmage because once you put on tape that you cannot stop combo blocks and you cannot stop the run at the point.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: all you're getting is the run at the point.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, it's it's I think it's going to be interesting to watch Arizona's game plan after they saw the Miami film.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to come out and try to really establish a big time rushing effort with Jeremiah love.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, I saw the overunder on Russia temps for Jeremiah love.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's like it's like, uh,
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's not many.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's like 14 Russian terms.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think he goes way over that total.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Tyler out here has gotten more snaps than him in back to back weeks.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Jeremiah love was a little shaken up in preseason and, you know, his ramp up period, whatever that is.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: But you're right.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to be able to do it.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: Now, whenever you're talking
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: The good news is they just have to specialize because Rahim Morris is he thrown a lot of different looks out there.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: There was one point where you the 49ers had three defensive ends and also a Digi Zuo was lined up at the five technique outside and so he's spicing it up, he's moving things around with what he's got.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: But if you can get defensive tackles that can just anchor on first and second down only you don't have to have any pass rush you don't have to have any you know mobility whatever if you can just anchor against duo
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: and the combo blocks like you talked about, get in there for 12 snaps of game each of you.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's okay.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think if you could just find somebody just anchor, just anchor.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's all you gotta do.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: The linebackers will cover it.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: The ends will do their job.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: So you're not asking these guys to go out and do things they haven't done.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Juan Jones has 1100 snaps in his career inside.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's not a complete, you know, do it all defensive tackle, otherwise he wouldn't have been on a practice squad, but he has experience, he's done it before so you're asking these guys to step in and do things that they have done before and you're saying just do this one little thing.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: If you can do that, this defense is going to be fine, because Brock Party in the 40 hours offense has been elite, but you can't expect to score five touchdowns on five consecutive drives every week.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: That just doesn't happen in the NFL.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see how that goes.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I know everybody keeps like begging for Sebastian Valdez.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: If your issue is anchoring against the run and double teams, I'm not sure Sebastian Valdez is the guy that you want to go to.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think they just love having them in the locker room.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that he gives them great looks from a, you know, scout team perspective.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: I would have to bet.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they get called up this week.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think it is going to be McKinley Jackson.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: What are your thoughts kind of on Sebastian Valdez?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: I know he's a fan favorite because they see him all the time in preseason, but the lack of traits and the lack of consistency.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's boom bus player.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they're going to call him up this week.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's my guy.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: I really like Valdez.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I talk to him a lot in the locker room.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I really enjoy him.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a good kid.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: He's a past rusher.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, to me, when are you going to have him up, you're going to have him up when you feel like you want to have one extra pass fresher because that's what he is.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's a high effort, high motor pass fresher.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: His short arms limit him as far as his ability to disengage, get off blocks and make tackles.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: So the motors there, the first step quickness is there.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: I like him, if you have a game where you think a team is really going to, it's going to be a lot of passing and you want that extra russia.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I would love to see them move him around the line a little bit.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: Move him out to defense of end, move him around because I think he's got a real quickness and real motor.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, his,
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: the short arms limit him a little bit and, you know, I do think that he'll be up, but he's not going to be up until they absolutely know that they're stopping the run with what they've got and some past rushing tackle, you know, if Oso was down, maybe he'd be up.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Or if Halton was down maybe he'd be up, you know, it's going to have to take somebody who's kind of more of a past for a shirt right now.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: They're just looking for that anchor and he's just not he's just not that, but I really like him and I think he can be helpful.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think he could play some meaningful snaps for them, but it's going to take the right situation, the right fit and they're going to have to feel good about the roles that these other guys are doing like they might have to have Nikwan Jones and McKinley Jackson up this week.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Because they don't know if they, who's going to be able to stop the run and how it's going to go.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: But once that's solidified, let's just say one of those guys really grabs the job.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say McKinley Jackson really shows, I mean, there's a third round pick.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: There's a two-time captain at Texas A&M.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's got a blue chipper.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: There's a five-star prospect, I believe, or at least a four-star, very highly rated out of the state of Mississippi when A&M got him.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't do it in Cincinnati, but look at Cincinnati's D-Line, Cincinnati's D-Line is awesome right now.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if he let you say second wind with Chris and this defense, you know, let you say McKinley Jackson just became this wrecking ball against the run.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: Then if they felt confident in their ability to stop the run with the guys that they had, then I could see a Sebastian Valdas getting a game day promotion and being active if they want one more past pressure.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: But right now, I don't think I would do that.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think I would try to put, you know, like I got a couple two gappers on making them both active and I'm putting them up on game day because I may need them.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: I may need both of them.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and you need bodies and they hurts that your defense events.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have the excess there to kick more inside.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: And so the issue with the 49ers is never injuries, which they do lead the NFL and most players on injured reserve, which it seems to be year and in year out.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: The issue for the 49ers isn't the number of injuries.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's the stacking of injuries at the same position.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: And that is the killer in the NFL.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if I want to push back and give a little bit of a nuanced take, which usually doesn't do too well on social media, but that's OK.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: Your stars are not injured.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: That is the one saving grace or maybe difference between 20, 20, 20, 24, 20, 26 is, man, and those other years, you are missing Nick Bosa from the jump, you're missing your quarterback from the jump, you're missing Fred Warner early in the season.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: Relatively healthy, knock on wood and you hope that that continues, but that's able to cover up and mask the plethora of injuries at the wide receiver and Deeline position because you're not missing your blue chippers at the current moment.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so I understand the number of issues is a little over what number of injuries is a little overwhelming.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's good that the the all pros are still healthy and performing up to par.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: No question.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: No question.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: Um, here are the guys who are on IR.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: CJ West, Nate Hobbs, Brett Tooth, Jake Tons just Nick Martin Andrew Farmer the second.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: Austin Pleasant, Ricky Pearsall, and Derek Forst.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like I was getting killed in the soprano's episode with two clips at the same time, man with every name.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you're coming.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: 15 guys, the illegal average is 7.2.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: which seems like kind of hide to me.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: But 15 guys on C's on IR, and you're in week three, you haven't even got the week three yet.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: You played two football games, and that's an enormous amount of players.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk about the receiving position for a second.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: On that list, of course, you have Peter Saul who's not coming back.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: If struggling and I don't know, I mean, I almost feel like the Niners ought to treat him like he's not coming back just because who knows it might be asking too much to ask him to rev it up in week 12 or 13 or whatever it's going to be.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: Then you also have Christian Kirk.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: He may be back in a week five.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: He may never play at all.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he was hurt one practice into training camp.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: You have to Marcus Robinson, who's not on IR, but is out.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: And today they picked up Brandon Cooks who grew up and stocked in as a 49er fan.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: We asked him, hey, what brought you here?
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, gosh, in hand.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: I want to play for
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, so I, you know, all the people, the anti-cow shanahan people was a rough day for them because Brandon Cooks came in and was like, yeah, I want to play for Kyle.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: The reason I'm here is Kyle.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: He did grow up and stocked in as a 49er fan, which is very cool.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: And he's in great shape.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say that just looking at him.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's in great shape.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: He played well last year for Buffalo.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: He's 32.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's not 38.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: He's like 189 yards shy of 10,000, so I'm sure you'd like to get that.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure he would love to, you know, have a big finish to his career with the 49ers, a team that he grew up rooting for.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, we don't know the status of Evans for this week.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's got the hippie did not practice today.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: To Marcus Robinson is not on an IR, but did not practice today.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: So they have Debo, they have cowing.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: They have Jordan Watkins, they have caderal hodge, who's a special team's gunner.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: They have Wesley Grimes and will Pauling on the practice squad, and now they have Brandon Cooks on the practice squad.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but you, I'm not that nervous about this situation.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just not, I just feel like,
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: The book on Brock Purdy three years ago, it's so hilarious when you think about it.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's a product of the Avengers, not only was that bullshit, but if the opposite, he can get it done with anybody.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I really believe he can't.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: He beat Philly last year with the Marcus Robinson and Joann Jennings, no kiddo,
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: That notion that Brock needed those great players around him, otherwise he couldn't do it.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's the case at all.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think Brock can get it done with Demarkis Robinson.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's not there.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think he can get it done with Mike Evans.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: Well, he might not be there.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: But even if those guys aren't there, I kind of feel like he can get it done with with Watkins, with Cowing, with Cooks, with Evans, with they have to go to or with Adibo.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: If they have to go to a...
- 15:55[SPEAKER_00]: to, you know, CMC and the slot and the K-Lon Black Jordan James combo in the backfield.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know, I just, I'm not as concerned about the wide receiver situation.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: I do like the pickup of cooks who's, you know, 13, this is his 13th year in the NFL, but it can still move.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not as concerned about the wider receivers.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if they keep losing guys, they lose another two guys, and it's also, you know, you're lining up a cadero-hodge and will-polling, you know, that could be a problem, but right now, I feel like Brock can get it done with the guys that he has even despite the injuries.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and the fact that the 49ers lead the NFL in 12 and 21 personnel, which means you only have two eligible wide receivers out on a given place.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not like, you know, you're running spread four wide sets.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's not that.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: So you're already limited in the number of wide receiver snaps that are available in Kyle talks about it at this morning, where you, I mean, you were there, where he's like, yeah, we like to have five guys, we like to have five.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: You're taught three wide receivers and then four and five got to help on special
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: So can Brandon Cook's warrant be in a top three wide receiver from the jump after just three practices when they Thursday Friday if he could prove that he's a vet and he's played in so many schemes I feel like he'll be kind of ready to go and depend it upon
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: He's probably going to be one of those guys.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think Mike Evans plays this week.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: Number two is Debo.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think number three is going to be Brandon Cooks, but with Caderal Hodge as your four, and Jacob Cowen as your five.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I remember the second and 22 play this week where Caderal Hodge runs this deep comeback.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's five yards of separation, a 18 yard reception on second and 22.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like it was nothing.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm piggybacking off of what you're saying here, Larry, Brock can do this with anybody.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: The Kyle Shanahan scheme plus Brock Perti insert reliable pieces that can block or help on special teams.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: If you can't do one of those two things, probably not going to get much playing time, Jordan Walkins.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's why he hasn't dressed.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I actually don't even think Jordan Walkins dresses this week.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_01]: Very similar to the stance that I have on Sebastian Valtis.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: I like them.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of positives there.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: can't help on special teams and not a good blocker.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's why we see Jacob Cowling.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_01]: That's why we see Cadero Hodge.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, like do you think Jordan Walken stresses this week or I kind of don't and then if that's the case, why the hell did you keep them over price in eastern imagine if price in eastern was on this roster right now yeah I mean it's like it's like it's like we're serving multiple masters it's like we have it's like we have different agendas I was I wanted to ask the question today.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: I you know about Jordan Walken's I guess I'll ask it on Friday.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: But it has to be asked.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: Where is this guy?
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: Why is he not up?
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Shannon, him.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: I get it, he just laid it out there, you know, you got three receivers and then you got your two special teamers and I get it.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: Cowning is a return guy, cadero Hodges a former pro bull, gunner, so they have special teams roles and he can easily defer to, you know, Jordan just doesn't have a special team's role and he's not one of our top three receivers and I get the feeling in the past when I've asked Kyle this question.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's basically said that we just not one of our top three guys, but I think the question
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: to be one of your top three guys.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: And if he has no role, then why is he taking up a roster spot?
- 19:31[SPEAKER_00]: If he has no role, I mean, if you're going to go to Branden Cook, so you signed on a Wednesday on Sunday, this week, over Jordan Watkins, then what's Watkins on the team for?
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: Because it cooks doesn't play special teams.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: He hasn't his entire career.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: Don't expect him to start doing it now.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right, but I'm saying, like, okay, so your three, your special teamers are cowing in hodge, okay, they're going to be up.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_00]: And then you're going to have dbo up, that's one, and then who's left?
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: You got two more guys.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: So Evan's, I think, Evan's going to be up.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: If Evan's is up, then you have one spot, and it's cooks or Watkins.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: And if Watkins is not up when you don't need them on special teams,
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: then what are we doing here?
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: What are we doing?
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you take this?
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: Either you are wrong.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: You're wrong.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: Either way, you're wrong.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: You're wrong to take this guy in the fourth round or you're wrong to not get him up here and play him.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_00]: But if a guy can step off the street and be better than a guy that you invested a fourth round pick and who runs in the fourthries, I mean, what does, I mean, I'm, let's roll play.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be, I'll be me,
- 20:36[SPEAKER_00]: What does Jordan Watkins need to do or need to show you to get on the field?
- 20:42[SPEAKER_00]: He can't get on the field.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: There were what has he done to fall behind the other receivers because he's a fourth round pick.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's not playing.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't contribute on special teams, a liability blocking.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: He's great when we're throwing him the ball.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: But you saw Jacob County get 24 snaps this week.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: No targets.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: Positive impact on all 24 place.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_01]: Whether it's blocking, even though he's the smallest guy on the field, with the deep threat, which I think Georgia Walkets can do running off the safety, creating space underneath.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: Can you contribute in a positive way when you're not being targeted?
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: We know Jordan Walkins can catch, we know Jordan Walkins can get open.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: All the other times, he's been a liability to this point.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: We're not at practice.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: We don't get to see that.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know, after the initial period, I think that's kind of the issue.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: But if that's the case, move on.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: Otherwise, Kyle is saying Jordan Walkins can eventually be a top three wide receiver for us.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's just not now or any time soon.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: Is this just a 2027 play.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like is that the the hope here that you're going to have to shine dribbling Ricky Pearsaw and Jordan Walkins are going to be here top three wide receivers in the future like is that you're just wasting a spot for the future on this.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's got skills.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's just.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: For a team that doesn't value wide receiver blocking like the 49ers.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like you'd be a fit.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think you get playing time on several teams in NFL.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think they wanted to trade them, Larry, and nobody came calling at the trade deadline, and now they got egg on the face, and they're just shrugging the shoulder sadly.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: This guy had nine touchdowns this last year in the SEC, and he can't even get into a game.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: Now, he had the one play in the preseason where Jones threw him a ball on the sidelines, and he didn't locate the ball, and it was almost picked off.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like that's right there was like that you made like three different mistakes on that play one you got to find the ball to there was tons of loft and that ball was not a laser it was really put up in the air so the you got to make even if you're not going to catch it you got to make a play on it so the defender can't catch it.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_00]: Instead, he just never found the ball, and it didn't wind up being an interception, but it could have been.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: It was the kind of thing that if you're grading receivers, you know, tough, you'd be like, what are you doing, bro?
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you could have cost us an interception, right?
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: You could have the cost of possession.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: You either catch the ball, or that ball has to make it's way to the turf.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're just running down the field, and you don't even know the ball's coming to
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, so it's about, you know, it's about timing and benchmarks and accountability and being where you're supposed to be and running the right route and all the different things that go into playing receiver.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I know there's a lot of nuances, but I mean, wow, um, you know, it's like, somebody thought that guy was good enough to take him in the fourth round.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: And now it's two years later and you can't get on the field despite all these injuries.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that made a biggest indictment.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it really is.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I get the feeling that maybe Evans will go this week, but maybe he won't, you know?
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: So if Evans can't go because he's got a hip bruise, it's funny, Kyle was asked today.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_00]: He said a hip pointer or hip bruise, he's like, I don't know, it's a hip injury.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, you don't know.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to, he knows.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to disclose the, there are certain points in injuries that labels have to go on, like a hip, like that has to be signified.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: He does not like going into details on entries lower leg.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: He ain't getting into the which foot it is hitting one time I don't think after disco you remember Brock.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_01]: What foot was it?
- 24:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think after discos that he looks off to the side like freaking he's on the office episode Yeah, I don't have to discos that but like Kyle's I mean he's he can tell can you tell him secrets he'll you'll lock it up, man
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I mean, this is the question.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if evidence doesn't play, maybe walkins and and cooks are both out there.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: Personally, I kind of think that, you know, the way this sets up where there's opportunity here and Brock's throwing the deep ball with accuracy.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I get the feeling that we're one game away from thinking that Cowinger walkins is pretty damn good because Brock's going to connect with them down the field and it's going to be a 30 or 40 hour game.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: And then people are going to be like, whoa, do you see that, you know, and it's amazing what an explosive past play will do to the fan base or due to the confidence of the organization in a particular player.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of feel like those guys just need one or two explosives to kind of
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: you know, kind of loosen them up a little bit and make them relax so they can just start playing football again.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like cowing and walkins are walking around on eggshells trying to be perfect and they're not perfect and it's like how about get these guys a touch down the field and let's enjoy some success with them and see if it it unleashes some something.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: I mean,
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: You've two fourth round picks, both these guys run in the four threes and you need speed worse than anything and you can't get either guy on the field from scrimmage, I mean at some point it's like, you know what either you're taking the wrong guys or you see it's either on your personal department taking the wrong guy or it's on your coaching staff for not being able to develop them, but it's not like one of these like the Niners always seem like they get to this thing where it's like it's the players fault.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: you pick the player, you know what I mean?
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not just the player's fault.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's like there's an evaluation that went along with the player and it's like they always try to hide from that.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like there is no evaluation.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's like the players will decide.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but you know what?
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: If the player's can play, that reflects on your evaluation.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: If the player's can't play, that also reflects on your evaluation.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: They seem to be totally
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: non-committed in any way to these draft choices or to their selections as if they didn't make them.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, think about it.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: They drafted Tray Lance.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: It was one of the biggest bus in the history of the NFL draft and it's almost you would almost swear that they didn't pick him like he picked himself.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I like to see a little bit more accountability from the organization on their on their picks.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: You pick these guys.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody who had a gun to your head saying, you have to pick trail ants.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be traded up for them.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: You traded up for them.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: They traded up for a lot of these guys that can't play.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, I want to hear, I want to see some ownership.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you know, a lot of times, you know, hey, do you guys evaluate yourself?
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yes,
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, what did you come up with?
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: What did you conclude?
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, anybody can have that?
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm evaluating myself right now.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, if I don't come to any conclusions, if I then nothing changes,
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: it just seems a little flimsy to me.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: It seems like there's a lot of cooks in the kitchen with nobody having ultimate, you know, final say or final responsibility.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, well, we can't blame this guy because it wasn't his pick and we can't blame that guy because he, we can't blame this guy.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: We can't, well, we know who we can't blame.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: How about somebody
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: and I'm wrong, and I blew it.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I want to see a little bit more accountability.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_00]: There's too many missed draft choices during this regime to which there's no accountability.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: There's nobody saying, hey, you know what?
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: I thought this and I was wrong.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's saying that.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: Kyle doesn't say that.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: John doesn't say that.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: To Rika Mod doesn't say that.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: RJ Gillen doesn't say that.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody says that.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody says, hey, you know what?
- 28:43[SPEAKER_00]: I really thought this guy was gonna hit and he hasn't.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what's funny is what was Shady Hand's favorite trade about Brock Perti mentioned today?
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: the amount of accountability that he takes on every negative play.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: It is always Brock's fought according to Brock and he puts it on himself all the time.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so I do think that that's interesting.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Because yeah, the accountability doesn't come across and you ask a lot of fans kind of what the issue is or if they don't like Kyle Shanahan, it's usually like a smug, he's pompous, you know, whatever, like that does come across and to be a coach, you kind of have to have some of that to be the head mayor on campus.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: But all this being said, Larry, they're two and oh, they're handling business.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: They're blowing teams out.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's what you want.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: You've got the cartels who are not a good team.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: You get to win this week.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: You're three and a two and a one to division.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot to be positive about a lot to be happy about, but I am with you, man.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like, there are questions because the Niners are leaving a lot of meat on the bone, but they're still getting it done.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_00]: No, I know.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, on one hand, I mean, it's like, it's got to be said.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, they got a lot of good things going on.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: They're winning.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: They're winning big.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_00]: The quarterbacks playing incredible.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: The offensive lines playing incredible, the combo of K-Lon Black Jordan James and CMC works great.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: George Kittle looks like George Kittle.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think we were going to say that.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: He does.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, Warner F. Yeah, Warner F. Yeah.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: Wonderful thing.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: Boses back to playing great.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: The secondary.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: All these young db's are coming of age.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Raheem Morris.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a lot of good.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: But the the bad or are.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: the wide receiver injuries and this kind of like, well, I mean, you drafted two guys in the fourth round and neither guy can get on the field and from scrimmage.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: You can't use cowing on downfield stuff.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_00]: You can't use walkins on downfield stuff.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, well, what's going on there?
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I seriously, it's Leonard Hancers and Kent Coach.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: Is it, is it, it's a John Kent pick?
- 30:47[SPEAKER_00]: Is it Kyle Kent pick?
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, what's going on?
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: You, you, you have to play your guys.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: And this like, uh, you know what?
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: We just kind of never put them out there.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: And we never really felt they were good enough.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: Put your guys on the field and let them be judged and let yourself be judged and either they're great and look at what you did or they're not great and look at what you did.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: But this whole like they just never get out there and you just keep signing other guys and here comes another veteran and another veteran and cadera hog and Brandon cooks and what if there's another injury and here comes another veteran and it's like what about your fourth round draft choices.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_00]: What about your investment in them?
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm a little salty on there on them on that.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then the defense of line, you know, that's a real problem.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll see hopefully McKinley Jackson or Naquan Jones is an answer.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do this.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_00]: Let's move Johnny and I to the corner.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: We'll do our prize picks line up right here.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll go with the Niners and the Cardinals.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: And we've got the, the prize picks deal rights.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_00]: there.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so when I get to move this around as well, let me just move one thing.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: So we have the right banner.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: We got to have the right graphics.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, prize picks.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: They go to great links to make sure that we have great banners, great great graphics.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_00]: So let's put it up there.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_00]: All right, there we go.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so new users play $5 get $1.50 in bonus line-ups at that first line-up is a win, use code, HM-A.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: John, what do you think for Niners, Niners options this week against the cardinals?
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think all those Brock Perti, more or less, are a lot more than they were two weeks ago.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: What jumps out to you with Brock Perti here, one and a half past touchdowns, that more there is huge Brock's lightning up and then you look at the first second and third string corner for the Cardinals are not practicing as of Wednesday.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, talk about the $40 wide receiver injuries.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: Cardinals corner injuries are just a severe if not more.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking Debo Samuel more than 43 and a half receiving yards.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think so too.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be getting as many snaps as he wants and some screenplays.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to stay away from a kiddo.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to stay away from, you know, from Evans, to Marcus Robinson.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_00]: Those guys for sure.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I'm not liking the touchdowns.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_01]: They're kind of so too hard to predict.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: So in a lot of these, I stay away from touchdowns rushing or receiving, but I like the passing usually.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do this.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: Let's let's take a, we've done a couple of Niners here.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: Let's throw Arizona into the mix here because we got to have a non-niner anyway.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_00]: Here are the Arizona Arizona options.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_00]: Let's take a look at that.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so we have, um, you've got Jacoby Percetti through for less than a hundred yards last week is you're going to throw for 222 and a half, and that seems kind of high after last week.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: Their fill goal kicker over under is 0.5 fill goals.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: You, if you want a lot of fill goals.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_00]: We'll put Ryland with more.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: They have a top five red zone defense.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of teams settle for fill goals.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good one.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good one.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of like the Jeremiah love thing as far as 38 and a half rush yards.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: That seems really low.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_00]: Four dinners are struggling to stop the run.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_00]: I am curious what Tyler out of years over.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_00]: Does he have more or less?
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's down here too.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_01]: Because I would be willing to take whoever has the lower number because they're getting about the same amount of
- 34:53[SPEAKER_01]: There's a child who is at 32 and a half, you go with what you feel this year money and I want you to make your money.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know what, I don't love, I don't love either of them.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think the looking at this, I think I want to go with Kendrick Bourne.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_00]: I like the way Kendrick Bourne is playing.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: And all he needs is three receptions.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: I like that.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: I like Kendrick Bourne with three receptions.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, eight targets eight catches week one.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_00]: He was and I guess the Niners.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they'll be they'll they'll feed them.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: I believe in revenge games.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, I think that's a big deal.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_00]: We'll put five on it.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_00]: And that's right.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_00]: We'll put five on it.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: And we will submit our lineup.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_00]: And it takes just a second.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it takes a couple of seconds.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, look at this.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of fast today.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: All right, here we go.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_00]: View the lineup.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's a four-pick power play.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: $5 pays $2250.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: We need perty to have two passing touchdowns.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_00]: Depot to have 44 rush yards or receiving yards.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_00]: um Chad Ryland just to make a field goal one and Kendrick born to have three catches.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_00]: Five pays 2250.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the Krug show.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_00]: We appreciate them.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: Greatly love prize picks on move Johnny and I back into our spot and move the graphic around.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: There you go.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: So thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the crude show.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_00]: All right, couple more before we wrap it here.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, we're going to wrap it right here.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: But John, you've anything you want to promote as far as, I know you've got some trips coming up.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_00]: Is there any, you know, obviously you're traveling around, you're throwing these parties on the road, you had a great party in Melbourne.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: Seattle is coming up in a few weeks.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: You still have openings on your Seattle trip.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: we do man really really excited to talk to the Seattle nine or faithful chapter president today they go meet the plane at the airfield and then come join our event so you know we we've got the Seattle's a good time all the time behind enemy lines they have so much hate for us we got our own nine or bar there which is pretty awesome so yeah if you're coming out you know to any of those events almost every single road trip
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be there 49ers rush road trip calm.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_01]: We have an event the day before the game from 2 to 6 and we have all inclusive premium tailgate the day of the game four hours before kickoff at all those cities as well.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: These are premium tailgates.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: They are pricey.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_01]: There are cheaper options out there, but man.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: I like to have really, really good food.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: I like to have really, really good drinks and we have bartenders out our events.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: Even though we're tailgate a parking lot, we bring out the bars, man.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: And so a Dallas, I think we're slated to have seven bartenders on hand.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a big party.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: big party couple last thoughts before both of the door.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: The Niners lead the NFL with a plus 42 point differential Seattle second at plus 27.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's a big difference.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_00]: Vegas so the Raiders are third believe it or not, that's shocking plus 26.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_00]: There's also been you know, every day, every week, it seems like there's going to be, you know, would you trade Mac Jones for this guy?
- 38:01[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of talk the Niners have interested in Leonard Floyd, Shandyhand kind of revealed that they reached out to Floyd.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like he's going to be here in a couple weeks or maybe not, we'll see, maybe it's Joey Bose at some point.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_00]: But there were two rumors involving Mac Jones this week.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_00]: One was a bleacher report rumors saying Mac Jones to the Browns for Jerry Judy.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_00]: Another one had Mac Jones replacing Jackson Dart or filling in for Jackson Dart in New York for Cave on Tibido.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: Does either of those scenarios intrigue or does are you like the Niners where you're like, no, we love Mac Jones.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: We don't want him to go anywhere.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: The Jerry Judy won no by all three accounts.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he's a fit for what we do.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_01]: He refuses to block.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's scared to go over the middle, glorified Dante Pettis type guy.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the Browns would do it.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the Niners would do it.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Jerry Judy would like that.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: cave on tiptoe, that one's a little bit more fashionable because it's the last year of his deal.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: You bring him in and he leaves.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_01]: You get the compensation pickback, that's huge, it's at a major position of need.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: The question is to Samo and the return of Mikael Williams solve your defensive end issues.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: If that is the case, then it's a little bit of a move point there because you're supposed to get both of those guys back within the month.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: I would say no to both of those trades personally, um, I want to keep Mac Jones for a little bit longer.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: You're seeing a lot of these injuries take place in the quarterback position.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: The only way I'm moving Mac Jones is, man, if you're getting a stud defensive tackle right now, or you're getting a guaranteed top 40 pick next year in the draft, that would be the only thing.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think cave on tibodos going to warrant that.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Jerry Judy's going to warrant that.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I, I'm saying I appreciate the offer.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with you.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: If you, you know, if you keep back Jones, I think you get a third-round pick next year if you walk.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I don't want to just trade them for a pick and I would want what what you're saying.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_00]: I want either a big-time defensive lineman that can impact the game or somebody who's going to be in, I'd say, the top 50 you should top 40, but I mean basically the same.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: Big tone underscore 707 don't need Vita Vaya just need a competent one tech.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's right big tones correct.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: I agree with that Well, we says trademark Jones for Doron Payne monster defense tackle from Washington.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they would do it I think everybody there's getting fired man.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think Washington's gonna clean house.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think so too John Munis, can you ask about accountability with the training staff asking for a friend?
- 40:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's funny
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we've asked so many questions about the training staff.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure they would roll their eyes.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: I gave him a game ball.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_00]: Lakers 24 1 2 0 bring back third in which one in his red hair.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_00]: I something tells me he's not coming back.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and we have this last one here from John Moon's chances of trading for defensive end help your thoughts.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: I actually think that, you know, if they hold on to their draft capital, if they plug these other holes, so where they are with like, you know, a guy off the practice squad, a guy off the waiver wire.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: They may be able to make a trade at the deadline.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: The guy that I would target is the Titan's young defense of then, oh, a familial, a day show.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a perfect fit for Reheem scheme.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's a good fit for solid scheme.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he probably could be getable at the trade deadline.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's the guy I'd want to go after.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's on a rookie deal.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he'd be a great fit here.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_00]: That is going to do it for us.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_00]: We're 45 minutes in.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to call it right here, John.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_00]: Have a great night.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_00]: I like the long, is that a fitted or a snapback?
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: No, man, I'm a trucker guy dude, like I've always got that bad snap back, man, that's that's that's the way I roll right there So that's a sweet long horn head.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: I have the white long horn head and occasionally I'll wear to practice You know, and what I do?
- 41:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'll always see Shanahan look over here.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's looking for that long hand long horn hat.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, that's going to do it for us.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to John.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to all of you.
