Transcript
- 0:08Speaker 1: Welcome to the Become who you Are podcast, a production of the John Paul II Renewal Center.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I'm Jack Rigg, your host, so glad you're joining me today.
- 0:15Speaker 1: The battle lines are drawn.
- 0:18Speaker 1: On one side are everything that's true, good and beautiful, opposing this, and on the other side are all the lies and the evil and the profane.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Now, where do you stand?
- 0:30Speaker 1: Because there's no middle ground.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Your choice, what side you're on, is done today.
- 0:37Speaker 1: This is what life is all about.
- 0:38Speaker 1: This is what this pilgrimage that we're on is all about to get us to our destiny to either go through the broad gate that leads to death and destruction, or to find the narrow gate that leads to eternal life.
- 0:52Speaker 1: This is what we're going to be talking about today.
- 0:55Speaker 1: These are confusing times, in a way, for many.
- 0:57Speaker 1: We see evil around us, accelerating, accelerating, accelerating.
- 1:03Speaker 1: We know something is going on, don't we?
- 1:05Speaker 1: And how do I pick a side?
- 1:07Speaker 1: How do I know what side I'm on?
- 1:09Speaker 1: You know there's two questions.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I always ask people to help them get through this, and that's what we're going to be unpacking today.
- 1:16Speaker 1: So buckle up and get ready for today's episode.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Cardinal Raymond Burke incredible man, isn't he?
- 1:33Speaker 1: He's leading a nine-month novena for our nation and for the church to Our Lady of Guadalupe and I've been participating in that of Guadalupe and I've been participating in that he periodically sends out a reflection, and included in that reflection is this paragraph as we persevere in carrying out Our Lady's intention during this nine-month novena and consecration, let us pray that God, through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, will drive away from us, from the church and from the world, all the influence of the evil, one Satan makes bold to sow his lies, the seeds of confusion and destruction, especially within the church.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Let us pray, through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, that Christ, who alone is the King of heaven and earth, he may reign in our hearts and then may reign throughout the world.
- 2:29Speaker 1: This is the battle line, isn't it?
- 2:32Speaker 1: Our Lord versus Satan, good versus evil, and it's clearly being waged at an accelerating pace around us, and people are starting to wake up to this, aren't they?
- 2:44Speaker 1: Accelerating pace around us, and people are starting to wake up to this, aren't they?
- 2:47Speaker 1: And what has also been increasingly clear is that people are starting to think about it.
- 2:55Speaker 1: What side am I on in this battle?
- 2:56Speaker 1: And how do I know?
- 2:56Speaker 1: Because there's a lot of evil out there and truth is being brought out into the open.
- 3:02Speaker 1: But there's a lot of issues all the way from COVID, vaccines and our food supply and the evil and the fighting around the world, but it all comes down at the end to the evil that's planted in the individual human heart.
- 3:16Speaker 1: That is then manifested in the world and either brings good or evil into the world, depending on what side that you're on.
- 3:23Speaker 1: So in conversations often I tell people look, this is going to come down to two questions and maybe we can start right now and just ask yourself about those two questions.
- 3:33Speaker 1: And that's what I'm going to be getting to here.
- 3:36Speaker 1: These two questions cut fairly quick to all the confusion in our nation and in the church.
- 3:42Speaker 1: What sides you're on, and to be able to, when you're looking at other people and trying to figure out, hey, should I listen to them, should I spend my time reading their articles, et cetera.
- 3:53Speaker 1: What side of all that's true?
- 3:55Speaker 1: Keep this in your mind the transcendentals what's true?
- 3:59Speaker 1: What's good?
- 4:00Speaker 1: What's beautiful, especially, of course, the beauty of love and then what are lies?
- 4:03Speaker 1: What are evil that's coming into the world?
- 4:04Speaker 1: What's beautiful, especially, of course, the beauty of love.
- 4:06Speaker 1: And then what are lies?
- 4:06Speaker 1: What are evil that's coming into the world, what are ways that people and articles and the world is profaning beauty, where beauty is being desecrated?
- 4:17Speaker 1: So what is true, good and beautiful, and what are the lies, the evils and that would profane the beauty that we're coming across?
- 4:26Speaker 1: One of the best ways to do it is really to get down to these two basic questions, and I'm going to unpack this for you through the words of Cardinal Cofara.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Cardinal Cofara was a good friend of John Paul II, was a good friend of John Paul II, so was actually tasked by him to open up and help him become the first president of the Pontifical Institute for Marriage and the Family in Rome, and to bring out this theology of the body and be able to cut through all the confusion that's going on today.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And so he's a good spokesperson for what we're going to be talking about and these two great questions.
- 5:07Speaker 1: He starts out like this this was an address.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Now, cardinal Cofara has since passed away, but on May 19th 2017, he was at the fourth annual Rome Life Forum, which is organized by Voice of the Family, and so he gave a talk there, and he started like this and this is the words of Jesus from John, chapter 12, verse 32.
- 5:30Speaker 1: When I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people to myself.
- 5:39Speaker 1: He said the whole world.
- 5:40Speaker 1: St John said in the first letter of his, in his first letter, 1 John 5, the whole world is under the power of the evil one.
- 5:47Speaker 1: So, jesus, when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people to myself.
- 5:52Speaker 1: This is a force of good.
- 5:53Speaker 1: And then, john, talking about the other side, you have to consider this that the whole world is under the power of the evil one.
- 6:02Speaker 1: And that's the way the world was after the fallen.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And Jesus comes in to do what To restore, to redeem, to save, to bring the good back into this.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Now we all stand at the tree.
- 6:14Speaker 1: First Adam and Eve stood at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and you decide what is good, what is evil, what is true, what is false, and you decide.
- 6:24Speaker 1: And then they chose what To walk away from God and the confusion came into the world.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Now we have another tree being raised.
- 6:31Speaker 1: This is the cross of Jesus, christ huh, and now Jesus on that cross.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And now today we all stand again, in a sense, before that tree.
- 6:39Speaker 1: What tree do we stand on?
- 6:42Speaker 1: You know, when evil came in the world, original sin came in the world from that tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that Adam and Eve decided to be like gods and they would decide what is evil and what is good.
- 6:53Speaker 1: That's what that was all about.
- 6:54Speaker 1: There was a tree, one other tree, the tree of life in the middle of the garden, and now we no longer had access to that tree of life.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Sin and death had come into the world.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Now Jesus raises this.
- 7:07Speaker 1: This is the tree of life that he's hanging on.
- 7:10Speaker 1: And now what do we say?
- 7:11Speaker 1: Do we say yes, I want that tree of life, I want to live out what's true, good and beautiful and bring happiness not only into the world, and joy and goodness into the world.
- 7:20Speaker 1: And when you bring goodness into the world, I become good, I am good.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Or into the world and when you bring goodness into the world, I become good, I am good.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Or do I allow the lies and evil and the profane to reign in my heart and then I become a manifestation of those things in the world?
- 7:34Speaker 1: I do evil then and I become evil, I am evil.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Now there's a lot of people walking around today that think they're on the side of good just because they haven't personally condoned much of the evil that's going on.
- 7:48Speaker 1: But they don't stand for anything.
- 7:49Speaker 1: And when you don't, then you've already picked a side, and time is ticking down, huh.
- 7:54Speaker 1: So reading these divine words again of Jesus and John, with the whole world under the power of the evil, one gives us a perfect awareness of what's really happening in the world, within the human story.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Considered in its depths, the human story is a confrontation.
- 8:11Speaker 1: This is our story, this is the story we came into.
- 8:13Speaker 1: It's a confrontation between two forces the force of attraction, whose source is the wounded heart of the crucified, risen one, and the power of Satan, who does not want to be ousted from his kingdom.
- 8:26Speaker 1: This is what you're seeing being allowed to accelerate today, and these are choices of the individual human heart, and God is allowing this to happen.
- 8:34Speaker 1: That's why, when somebody chooses evil, you could see how far they fall in these trans ideologies and all these different things that come down.
- 8:44Speaker 1: It's amazing how dark they get, and God is allowing that.
- 8:49Speaker 1: He's just allowing them to walk away from his grace.
- 8:53Speaker 1: The area, then, in which this confrontation takes place is in the individual human heart, and it is human liberty.
- 9:01Speaker 1: God gave us freedom.
- 9:02Speaker 1: He gave us the freedom to choose.
- 9:04Speaker 1: This freedom is always for something.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Is it for what's true, good and beautiful, or is it for, again, the lies, the evil and the profane?
- 9:13Speaker 1: And the confrontation has two dimensions an interior dimension and an exterior dimension, which I've briefly talked about already, but let's go into it a little bit more.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Which I've briefly talked about already, but let's go into it a little bit more.
- 9:24Speaker 1: But that interior dimension is the human heart and an exterior dimension that we manifest this in the world.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Right, you can see it in the world.
- 9:32Speaker 1: You can read my heart by what I say and what I do in the world.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Huh, at the trial before Pilate, the governor asked Jesus whether he is a king, whether which is the meaning of Pilate's question he has true and sovereign political power over a given territory.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Well, jesus responds like this you say that I am a king.
- 9:52Speaker 1: For this I was born for this.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I came into the world to testify to the truth.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Ooh, everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Ooh, think about that.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Sit in that for a while when you hear the withdrawal and the trans movement and the queering of society, the Marxists coming down, pushing all these evils on us, right?
- 10:20Speaker 1: Why don't they hear the truth?
- 10:22Speaker 1: How can they get so dark?
- 10:24Speaker 1: Everyone who belongs to the truth, how can they get so dark?
- 10:26Speaker 1: Ah, everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice, but if you don't, you don't hear anything.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Jesus wants us to understand that his kingship is not of the kings of the world, but consists of the obedience of his subjects to his word, to his truth.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Although he reigns over his subjects, it's not through force or power, but through the truth of which he is a witness, which all who are from the truth receive with faith.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Whoa.
- 10:56Speaker 1: St Thomas Aquinas puts the following words into the mouth of the Savior.
- 11:00Speaker 1: He says this, savior, he says this as I myself manifest truth, so I am preparing a kingdom for myself.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Jesus on the cross attracts everyone to himself because it's on the cross that the truth of what he is a witness is resplendent.
- 11:19Speaker 1: It's shown right there.
- 11:21Speaker 1: The truth, this is the truth.
- 11:23Speaker 1: And first of all, what do you see up there?
- 11:25Speaker 1: Not only does he witness to the truth, but he witnesses to the truth of love, love being poured out, the son of God manifesting God himself into the world.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Right, it's amazing love that's going on on the cross.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Yet this force of attraction can only take effect on those who are from the truth.
- 11:47Speaker 1: This force of attraction when you look at Jesus, right, can only take effect at those who are from the truth.
- 11:53Speaker 1: That's why so many people will reject him, even in conversations.
- 11:56Speaker 1: And I'm giving you this information, right?
- 11:59Speaker 1: This is more than information, isn't it?
- 12:01Speaker 1: It's the DNA that runs within our hearts.
- 12:02Speaker 1: But we're sharing this so that you can understand, really cut through all the confusion out there and know, even in your own heart, why do people reject when you say the word Jesus, when you say the word God.
- 12:14Speaker 1: It's really a revulsion and aversion to even the words.
- 12:20Speaker 1: So again, this force of attraction only if you're from the truth, that is, on those who are profoundly available to the truth, who love the truth, who live in familiarity with it.
- 12:34Speaker 1: As Pascal writes, you would not seek me if you had not already found me, right, you would not seek Jesus, you would not seek the truth if you had not already found me.
- 12:45Speaker 1: So, just because you're standing there already seeking the truth, looking at Jesus, you already found him.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Now, we just got to go in all the way.
- 12:54Speaker 1: This is a crazy time right now, he who holds the entire world under his sway, though instead dominates through lies.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Jesus says of Satan in John 8, verse 44, he was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there's no truth in him.
- 13:11Speaker 1: When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Wow, the wording is dramatic, isn't it?
- 13:21Speaker 1: The first proposition he was a murderer from the beginning is explained by the second.
- 13:26Speaker 1: And he does not stand in the truth.
- 13:29Speaker 1: The murder which the devil performs consists in his not standing in the truth, not dwelling in the truth.
- 13:35Speaker 1: We all can cause these murders in the world when we don't stand for the truth.
- 13:40Speaker 1: It is murder because?
- 13:42Speaker 1: Why?
- 13:43Speaker 1: Because he's seeking to extinguish, to kill in the heart of man, men and women.
- 13:45Speaker 1: The truth.
- 13:45Speaker 1: It is murder because, why?
- 13:45Speaker 1: Because he's seeking to extinguish, to kill in the heart of man, men and women.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Truth, the desire for truth Isn't that what you see again in these trans movements today?
- 13:54Speaker 1: It's such a wonderful example just how twisted and distorted we can get because we're looking at a lie, something that's entirely impossible for a man to become a woman.
- 14:04Speaker 1: We're looking at a lie, something that's entirely impossible for a man to become a woman.
- 14:09Speaker 1: But why do they do this?
- 14:10Speaker 1: Because Satan has killed in their hearts the desire for the truth by inducing man to unbelief.
- 14:16Speaker 1: He wants man, men and women again to close themselves to the light of what, to the divine revelation, which is the word Jesus himself incarnate.
- 14:25Speaker 1: He stepped into our story to make it so clear to us what God is, who is love, who is truth, who is beauty itself, who is good?
- 14:37Speaker 1: Only God is good.
- 14:39Speaker 1: When we talk about what is the transcendentals, what is true, good and beautiful, we're describing God, and when we walk into that story, we become part of that story and we become everything that's true, good and beautiful in the world.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Therefore, these words of Jesus on Satan, as today the majority of of people that study these things believe, do not speak of the fall of angels.
- 15:06Speaker 1: They speak of something far more profound, something frightful.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Satan constantly refuses the truth and his action within human society consists in opposition to the truth.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Think about this when you hear lies and distortions coming from our very government itself.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Who rules them?
- 15:26Speaker 1: Satan is this refusal, he is this opposition.
- 15:31Speaker 1: How can all of these things around the world, like when the COVID lockdowns came, the whole world locks down.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Who can orchestrate that?
- 15:38Speaker 1: Only the evil.
- 15:40Speaker 1: One can do that to all these politicians, these so-called elites, all at once.
- 15:46Speaker 1: The text continues because there is no truth in him.
- 15:50Speaker 1: The words of Jesus go to the deepest root of Satan's work.
- 15:54Speaker 1: He is in himself a lie, just like Jesus is the truth.
- 16:01Speaker 1: The truth, if you ever get confused, is not a something, the truth is a somebody, and his name is Jesus Christ.
- 16:07Speaker 1: If you're looking at a lie, the lie is not just a something, he's a somebody, and he is Satan himself.
- 16:14Speaker 1: So from his person, jesus Christ, truth right is profaned through his body, and Satan, of course, is himself a lie.
- 16:24Speaker 1: From his person, truth is completely absent and hence he is, by definition, the one who opposes the truth.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Jesus adds immediately afterwards listen to this when Satan lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
- 16:42Speaker 1: When the Lord speaks according to his own nature, he introduces us to the interiority of Satan.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Right.
- 16:51Speaker 1: When Jesus says these things, this is his inner life, this is his inner heart.
- 16:54Speaker 1: When we take on Satan and evil, this becomes our hearts.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Right.
- 17:00Speaker 1: We become liars.
- 17:01Speaker 1: We accept lies from the father of lies.
- 17:07Speaker 1: When Jesus again speaks according to his own nature, talking about Satan, he's talking about his heart, a heart which lives in darkness and shadows, a house without doors and without windows.
- 17:17Speaker 1: To summarize this, therefore, is what is happening in the heart of man.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Jesus, the revelation of the Father, exerts a strong attraction to himself.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Satan works against this to neutralize the attractive force of the crucified, risen one.
- 17:34Speaker 1: The force of the truth which makes us free, acts on the heart of man, right?
- 17:41Speaker 1: That force of truth which really makes us free, I'm repeating, right, acts on our hearts.
- 17:48Speaker 1: That's when we become free, when we walk in the true, what's good and what's beautiful.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Otherwise, we enslave ourselves to sin and death, don't we?
- 17:56Speaker 1: It is the satanic force of the lie which makes slaves of us to addictions and attractions, to these trans ideologies, to drugs and alcohol and pornography and blah, blah, blah.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Money, lust, power, human trafficking, abortion, ooh, yet not being pure in spirit.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Now, the human person is not solely interiority, right?
- 18:22Speaker 1: We don't just live within our hearts, human interiority, what is in our hearts that goesity?
- 18:25Speaker 1: Right, we don't just live within our hearts, human interiority, what is in our hearts that goes first?
- 18:28Speaker 1: Right?
- 18:28Speaker 1: Do I become a person of good or a person of evil, a person of love or a person of lust within my own heart.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Well, it's expressed, then, and manifested in construction of the society in which he or she lives.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Human interiority is expressed and manifested in culture that we see all around us.
- 18:49Speaker 1: It's an essential dimension of human life as such.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Music, art do we bring something beautiful in the world or do we bring our kids to drag queen story hours?
- 19:02Speaker 1: Culture is the mode of living which is specifically human.
- 19:07Speaker 1: What kind of culture are we creating?
- 19:09Speaker 1: Given that man is positioned between these two opposing forces, the condition in which he finds himself must necessarily give rise to two cultures the culture of truth, the culture of life John Paul would call it or the culture of the lie.
- 19:24Speaker 1: The culture of life, john Paul would call it or the culture of the lie, the culture of death.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Right, do we live in the culture of truth and life or the culture of the lie, which leads to death?
- 19:33Speaker 1: There's a book in Holy Scripture, the last book, the Apocalypse, you could call it, or the book of Revelation, the very last book in the Bible, which describes the final confrontation between these two kingdoms.
- 19:48Speaker 1: In this book, the attraction of Christ takes the form of triumph over the enemy powers commanded by Satan.
- 19:52Speaker 1: It is a triumph which comes after a lengthy combat.
- 19:56Speaker 1: The first fruits of the victory are the martyrs, the great dragon this is a quote from chapter 12 in the book of Revelation the great dragon, serpent of the primal age, he whom we call the devil or Satan, seducer of the whole world, was flung down to earth, but they, the martyrs, overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of the testimony of their martyrdom.
- 20:24Speaker 1: So, once again, the first fruits of that victory of Christ, what's true, good and beautiful over all the evil, are the martyrs, those who gave their whole lives, those that, like Jesus Christ, followed Jesus Christ on the cross and gave their life, and these disciples, these martyrs, shed their own blood as sacramental signs of that.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Now, today, and this will fit into what these two great questions that we're going to get to right now, today, if you read the Magnificat, which you should be doing every day, or something like the Magnificat, which just brings the scripture for the daily Mass, even if you don't get a chance to go to Mass this morning, this is a Monday and there's no morning Mass, where I usually go, and so often on Mondays, I just do my own prayers and different things, but I always still read the scriptures for the Mass, and today the memorial is for St Charles Luanga and his companions, so let me read this to you.
- 21:30Speaker 1: This feast celebrates the African martyrs Charles Luanga and 21 others executed in the years 1885 to 1887 in Uganda.
- 21:44Speaker 1: The efforts of the Society of the Missionaries of Africa, also known as the White Fathers, had come there and converted a number of young men and boys at the court of the tribal lord Mwanga.
- 21:56Speaker 1: So Mwanga, this tribal lord, and these White Fathers, these missionaries, had come and converted a number of young men and boys at the court of that tribal lord.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Well, mwanga was in the habit of forcing himself on his young male pages, sodomizing them.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Mwanga found himself then thwarted by their Christian virtues.
- 22:19Speaker 1: So something happened Once they came into Christianity, they no longer allowed themselves, right, they pushed this Mawanga, this tribal lord, away.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Well, in a moment of rage, he ordered them to renounce their faith or face execution.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I mean, look at the lust of this.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Again, this starts in the human heart and then it's manifested.
- 22:41Speaker 1: It's evil in the world, isn't it?
- 22:42Speaker 1: It's amazing, you know right, this power of lust that comes in on this, this Lord Mwanga.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Right, he wants to just sodomize these young men and because they say no, he takes it as a personal front.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Huh, this is how dark we can get.
- 22:59Speaker 1: On June 3rd, charles and 17 companions, along with some converts to Anglicanism, were burned to death.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Were burned to death.
- 23:09Speaker 1: A well which has many sources never runs dry.
- 23:14Speaker 1: When we are gone, others will come after us.
- 23:17Speaker 1: They said by 1890, there were some 10,000 Christian converts in southern Uganda.
- 23:24Speaker 1: So by 1890, this is just a couple of years, about three to five years after these martyrs.
- 23:33Speaker 1: It's amazing what happens, don't we see this today and again, in all these gender ideologies and the acceptance of what?
- 23:41Speaker 1: Same-sex marriage, you know.
- 23:43Speaker 1: It's amazing how we've accepted this and these darkness.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Right, well, here we go.
- 23:50Speaker 1: So let me go on to the second section here.
- 23:52Speaker 1: So, as Cardinal Kofar would say, I would like to respond to the following question In our Western culture, there are developments which reveal with particular clarity and these are the two questions I want to get to the confrontation between the attraction exerted over man by the crucified, risen Christ and the culture of the lie constructed by Satan.
- 24:16Speaker 1: So what are they?
- 24:17Speaker 1: Huh, what are they?
- 24:18Speaker 1: Is there a way to understand, to cut through this and know what side our hearts are on?
- 24:23Speaker 1: Yes, there are.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Cardinal Cafara says there are two developments in particular, two questions you can ask.
- 24:30Speaker 1: The first development is the transformation of a crime abortion into a right.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Ooh, john Paul said the same thing.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Right, the Cardinal Cafara is saying here that once the United States accepted Roe v Wade in 1973, we made it a right to kill our own children across the nation.
- 24:51Speaker 1: This put a mark on our nation.
- 24:53Speaker 1: This is why it's so important that the Supreme Court put this back into the state, so that each state has to confront this Note.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Well, he said, and I will reiterate with this, I am not speaking of abortion as an act perpetrated by one person.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I am speaking of the broader legitimation, right, legalization, legitimation which can be perpetrated by a judicial system in a single act.
- 25:20Speaker 1: To subsume it to the category of a subjective right, which is an ethical category.
- 25:27Speaker 1: See, the whole nation now took this on.
- 25:29Speaker 1: This signifies what is calling good, evil, what is light, shadow, right?
- 25:37Speaker 1: We stand before the tree and we chose.
- 25:40Speaker 1: When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he's a liar and a father of lies.
- 25:45Speaker 1: What do we hear today.
- 25:47Speaker 1: It's not really a baby, it's not this.
- 25:49Speaker 1: And even if it is a baby, we have too many children now, today, this is an attempt to produce.
- 25:55Speaker 1: What An anti-revelation.
- 25:57Speaker 1: An anti-revelation.
- 26:00Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 26:01Speaker 1: You know what happens when, in fact and let me just reiterate that point I work with and I know many, many, many men that were involved in aborting their own children.
- 26:14Speaker 1: I know many, many, many women who've had multiple abortions, and so this again is not to judge them.
- 26:20Speaker 1: You know, it's to judge the truth.
- 26:21Speaker 1: And so this again is not to judge them, it's to judge the truth.
- 26:24Speaker 1: And it was only because people spoke the truth and loved them, and loved them in the truth, that they were able to go to confession and get this you know these really what was dragging them down emotionally, psychologically and even physically so often to be able to overcome this burden and then to do good in the world right Again.
- 26:44Speaker 1: So we're all sinners.
- 26:45Speaker 1: We're all called to stand before that risen Christ and decide, but don't take these things to your grave.
- 26:53Speaker 1: We have to change.
- 26:55Speaker 1: We've given an opportunity here.
- 26:57Speaker 1: We've come into a sinful world, we're all lied to about these things, but that doesn't change the fact that we've legitimized this.
- 27:05Speaker 1: We've legalized this abortion into a right in our country.
- 27:09Speaker 1: So that's question number one.
- 27:10Speaker 1: I will ask people when do you stand on life when I'm speaking at a school board meeting and some trans activists tell me that I'm a hater and I don't love children because I don't want them to be put on puberty blockers and their bodies mutilated by surgeries?
- 27:29Speaker 1: And these are young kids and I ask them these two questions that I'm going to be bringing out today, and the first one is where do you stand on life?
- 27:39Speaker 1: Are you pro-life?
- 27:40Speaker 1: No, abortion is a right, I said.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Okay, here you are, huh, Calling us that are standing for these young children haters, because we don't want them to be.
- 27:50Speaker 1: There's innocence stolen from them and their bodies broken down from them, and you want it to be a right to abort them.
- 27:59Speaker 1: You'd rather have them have been aborted, but now that they made it through the womb, you want them.
- 28:04Speaker 1: What Rendered?
- 28:04Speaker 1: Sterile and mutilated, isn't it something?
- 28:07Speaker 1: Liars and a father of lies, but they've become so dark that they don't even see this anymore.
- 28:13Speaker 1: What, in fact, is the logic which presides over the ennoblement of abortion?
- 28:19Speaker 1: Firstly, it is the profoundest negation of the truth of man.
- 28:25Speaker 1: As soon as Noah left the floodwaters.
- 28:27Speaker 1: God said whoever sheds the blood of a man by a man, shall that person's blood be shed, for in his own image, god made man.
- 28:35Speaker 1: We've made the Imago Dei.
- 28:37Speaker 1: The reason why a man should not shed the blood of man is that that man a man and a woman is the image of God.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Through man, god dwells in his creation.
- 28:50Speaker 1: He created us to be his love, to bring his love, his truth, his goodness into the created world.
- 28:57Speaker 1: World.
- 29:05Speaker 1: We stand between the rest of creation and God to offer up all these gifts that God has given us to God.
- 29:08Speaker 1: And then I receive from God this grace, who God is, and I bring this into the world to manifest this beauty of God into the world.
- 29:16Speaker 1: He allows us to do this and then to procreate with him and to bring eternal beings in the world that would be with us forever.
- 29:23Speaker 1: This is the anti-revelation and the anti-creation.
- 29:27Speaker 1: This creation of a baby is the temple of the Lord.
- 29:31Speaker 1: To violate the intangibility of the human person is a sacrilegious act against the sanctity of God.
- 29:39Speaker 1: This is God's child.
- 29:41Speaker 1: It is the satanic attempt to generate an anti creation.
- 29:48Speaker 1: By ennobling the killing of human beings, satan has laid the foundations for his creation, to remove from creation the image of God, to obscure his presence within.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Isn't this what it does?
- 30:03Speaker 1: We murder our babies by the billions, now creating an anti-creation to remove the creation from the image of God, to obscure his presence.
- 30:15Speaker 1: St Ambrose writes the creation of the world was completed with the formation of the masterpiece which is man, himself created male and female, which is, in fact, the culmination of creation, the supreme beauty of every created being.
- 30:32Speaker 1: At the moment at which the right of man to order the life and the death of another man is affirmed, god is expelled from his creation because his original presence is denied and his original dwelling place within creation, who the human person brings into the world, is desecrated.
- 30:53Speaker 1: It's profaned.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Okay.
- 30:57Speaker 1: So the second development then?
- 30:59Speaker 1: So the first is the killing of the child huh, and it's not, again, the individual person that did that that can repent.
- 31:05Speaker 1: It's that.
- 31:06Speaker 1: We made it a national law, a nation's law.
- 31:10Speaker 1: It's amazing what happens.
- 31:12Speaker 1: And the United States is pushing this all over the world, don't forget.
- 31:15Speaker 1: The second development is the ennoblement of homosexuality, and again, this goes the same thing.
- 31:21Speaker 1: I'm not talking about an individual person who, for whatever reasons, finds themselves in these homosexual relationships.
- 31:33Speaker 1: We came into a broken world.
- 31:35Speaker 1: We're broken people.
- 31:36Speaker 1: We have a chance to go to the cross again to look up at that crucified and risen one and give our lives over to them.
- 31:46Speaker 1: What is the truth of marriage?
- 31:48Speaker 1: See what we've done now with same-sex marriage.
- 31:51Speaker 1: We've done the same thing as with abortion.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Now we've made it a right.
- 31:54Speaker 1: We've made it a right and made it perfectly normal, and really this hurts young people that don't know any better that just now see abortion and homosexuality, same-sex marriage as a right.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Well, you know, we've rendered marriage meaningless, We've rendered the baby meaningless.
- 32:13Speaker 1: This, in fact, denies entirely the truth of marriage.
- 32:17Speaker 1: The mind of God, the creator with regard to marriage.
- 32:20Speaker 1: So again we're going to the core, satan, satan's going to the core.
- 32:23Speaker 1: The Imago Dei, the divine revelation, has told us how God thinks of marriage the lawful union of a man and a woman, the source of life.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Only a man and a woman come together, have that source of that baby.
- 32:36Speaker 1: In the mind of God, marriage has a permanent structure based on the duality of the human mode of being femininity and masculinity, not two opposite poles, but the one with and for the other.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Only thus does man escape his original solitude.
- 32:52Speaker 1: You've heard me talk about that, so I'm not going to spend time going into original solitude right now.
- 32:57Speaker 1: But we're called to relationships, aren't we?
- 33:00Speaker 1: Because we're called to express God's love, like I said earlier, in the world.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Well, each of us is created in the Imago Dei, in the image of God, to bring God's goodness into the world.
- 33:10Speaker 1: The fuller sign of that is sacramental marriage, isn't it?
- 33:14Speaker 1: And religious life too.
- 33:19Speaker 1: One of the fundamental laws through which God governs the universe is that he does not act alone.
- 33:24Speaker 1: This is very, very important.
- 33:25Speaker 1: This is the law of human cooperation, with the divine governance, god filling us, and then we walk into the world.
- 33:33Speaker 1: We were tasked with bringing God's beauty in the world.
- 33:37Speaker 1: This union, then, between a man and a woman who become one flesh, and in marital sexual union, is human cooperation in the creative act of god.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Every human person is created by god and begotten by its parents.
- 33:51Speaker 1: God celebrates the liturgy of his creative act in the holy temple of conjugal love, of conjugal love, ooh, conjugal love.
- 34:02Speaker 1: John Paul said to young men that were married.
- 34:06Speaker 1: He said before you make love to your wives, take your shoes off.
- 34:12Speaker 1: You're entering unto holy ground Again.
- 34:13Speaker 1: What did he mean by that?
- 34:14Speaker 1: It brings us back to Genesis, chapter one.
- 34:16Speaker 1: I've said this many times, but let me just remind everybody.
- 34:20Speaker 1: So God is going to, you know, he created everything, he's got everything ready.
- 34:23Speaker 1: He's got the Garden of Eden ready, it's ready for a wedding feast.
- 34:27Speaker 1: And God says okay, now I'm going to bring the crown of creation there, the crown that's going to bring my life, my love, into the world.
- 34:35Speaker 1: So God created man in his image, in the divine image.
- 34:38Speaker 1: He created them, male and female.
- 34:40Speaker 1: He created them.
- 34:41Speaker 1: God blessed them, saying to them be fertile, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, make love to each other.
- 34:49Speaker 1: That's our first commandment that two become one, become three.
- 34:52Speaker 1: And this is a tiny little created reflection of the inner life of the Trinity.
- 34:57Speaker 1: So our inner life, our inner hearts, are expressing God's inner life, his heart, the whole Pope John Paul's whole thesis listen to this again the thesis of the theology of the body, as simple as it is startling, each of us is a unity.
- 35:15Speaker 1: First, a body and a soul, isn't it?
- 35:17Speaker 1: And the body, in fact, and only the body, your body, my body, said John Paul II, is capable of making visible what is invisible, the spiritual and the divine.
- 35:28Speaker 1: It is being created to transfer into the visible reality of the world, that mystery hidden from eternity in God and thus to be a sign of it.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Well, what is that mystery hidden from eternity in God that we're a sign of God is an eternal exchange of love, the father who pours his love out to the son, the son who receives it.
- 35:50Speaker 1: And, begotten, of the father and the son, comes forth the Holy Spirit.
- 35:54Speaker 1: The third person, ah, a man offers his love to his wife.
- 35:58Speaker 1: His wife receives that love, and it's so beautiful and profound that at times, it'll come out in the form of an incarnate, right, you know, a live human being, a concrete, tangible human being.
- 36:13Speaker 1: We call that human being a baby, begotten from the love of a man and a woman.
- 36:18Speaker 1: This is a tiny sacramental reflection that we're all capable of, of entering into this sexual union between a man and a woman in marriage.
- 36:28Speaker 1: You know, it's amazing what happens.
- 36:30Speaker 1: We're not all called to marriage, though.
- 36:31Speaker 1: We're not all called to marriage, and you know, there's religious people, you know, as we know, there's people that are single for all kinds of various reasons.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Right, we're all the image and likeness of God, but marriage and the baby that comes forth of them is that fuller image of sacramental image of God's Trinitarian love in the world.
- 36:54Speaker 1: So, in summary, there's these two pillars of creation the human person and it's irreducibility.
- 37:01Speaker 1: You can't reduce a human person to the material universe right.
- 37:06Speaker 1: The conjugal union, the marital union, where two become one flesh, sexual union between a man and a woman, the place in which God creates new persons, new human persons that will be with him forever and with us forever in his image and likeness, him forever and with us forever in his image and likeness.
- 37:33Speaker 1: When our nation and other parts of the world elevate abortion to a subjective right, it's the demolition.
- 37:37Speaker 1: We demolish the first pillar.
- 37:39Speaker 1: The ennoblement, then, of same-sex marriage, when equated to marriage right Now, the two cannot become one, become three, in that there's no sacramental sign there.
- 37:53Speaker 1: And you know I don't want to be overly graphic here, but the anus is not a sex organ, is it Right?
- 38:01Speaker 1: You know that.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Everybody knows that it's part of your digestive organ.
- 38:04Speaker 1: It doesn't say life, it says death.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Right, we're expelling something there.
- 38:09Speaker 1: So the ennoblement of same-sex marriage is the destruction of the second pillar.
- 38:15Speaker 1: So the second pillar, where the two become one, open to life, they could bring that third one in, and when that third one comes, that's the destruction of that first pillar, life itself.
- 38:28Speaker 1: At the root of this work of destruction is Satan, who wants to build an actual anti creation.
- 38:34Speaker 1: Think about that.
- 38:35Speaker 1: We are involved in marriage and the family, in God's creation and his creative act.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Satan wants to build an anti-creation, so this is why this is at the root.
- 38:48Speaker 1: This is why these are the fundamental questions I ask people when do you stand on life and where do you stand on same-sex marriage and all these gender ideologies we can extend it to?
- 39:00Speaker 1: This is the ultimate and terrible challenge which Satan is hurling at God.
- 39:04Speaker 1: He says I am demonstrating to you that I am capable of constructing an alternative to your creation.
- 39:11Speaker 1: He says to God.
- 39:12Speaker 1: And man will say it is better in the alternative creation, god, than in your creation, when we go along with these things.
- 39:20Speaker 1: This is the frightful strategy of the lie, constructed around a profound contempt for man.
- 39:27Speaker 1: When you walk into these ideologies and accept this, you are walking into a contempt for man, a contempt for human beings, a contempt for yourself.
- 39:38Speaker 1: In a way, you bring yourself into darkness.
- 39:41Speaker 1: See, mankind, men and women, are not capable of elevating themselves to the splendor of truth.
- 39:48Speaker 1: He is not capable of living within the paradox of an infinite desire for happiness.
- 39:54Speaker 1: We have this in our heart, but the paradox is we can't find it on our own.
- 39:58Speaker 1: We are not able to find ourselves in the sincere gift of ourselves to other people.
- 40:04Speaker 1: We find that we're selfish, we find that we're holding back, we find that we're fallen and we fall for sin and we use one another, and therefore it continues that Satan himself he says so.
- 40:17Speaker 1: They can't succeed anyways.
- 40:19Speaker 1: They've all fallen.
- 40:21Speaker 1: They're all fallen.
- 40:22Speaker 1: They're all fallen for this anti-life right.
- 40:25Speaker 1: And he tells us banalities about himself.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Huh, you know this old, boring story, huh, that you gotta fulfill yourself any way you can.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Lust and selfishness, sodomy, pornography, gender ideologies, you know, they're all the same grasping to try to fill the infinite desires of our heart in a finite world without God.
- 40:47Speaker 1: We convince him that the truth does not exist.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Satan says to all of us that truth does not exist, that goodness does not really exist, that it's all your opinion, this moral relativism.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Therefore, your search is a sad and futile passion.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Take what you can out of this life right.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Satan persuades so many to shorten the measure of our desires, huh, and forget about the infinite desires of the heart and just live for the moment.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Huh, take what you can from people, places, things.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Don't we see this lust all over?
- 41:23Speaker 1: Satan places in our hearts the suspicion that love is merely a mask of pleasure, just pleasure.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Love has been reduced down to a feeling, hasn't it?
- 41:33Speaker 1: And then to a sexual act.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Today, you know the great inquisitor of Dostoevsky.
- 41:39Speaker 1: He wrote the Brothers Karamazov.
- 41:43Speaker 1: So in that, the Brothers Karamazov if you get a chance to read that by Dostoevsky, please do.
- 41:50Speaker 1: The grand inquisitor of there speaks thus to Jesus you judge of men too highly, jesus, for though rebels they are, they were born slaves.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I swear to you that man is weaker and lower than you have ever imagined him to be.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Man is weak and cowardly, and I would say that's true without Jesus, isn't it?
- 42:10Speaker 1: How should we dwell, then, in this situation?
- 42:13Speaker 1: In the third and final section of Cardinal Khafara's reflections he says I'll seek to answer this question.
- 42:19Speaker 1: The reply is simple Within the confrontation between creation and the anti-creation, we're called upon to testify.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Testify bold letters.
- 42:30Speaker 1: This testimony is our mode of being in the world.
- 42:33Speaker 1: It is when we testify to the truth that we manifest the truth from our heart into the created world.
- 42:40Speaker 1: This is what we're called to do to bring God's love back into the world.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Why are we so cowardly?
- 42:45Speaker 1: The New Testament has an abundantly rich doctrine on this matter.
- 42:49Speaker 1: I must confine myself to an indication of the three fundamental meanings which constitute this testimony.
- 42:56Speaker 1: So number one testimony means to say to speak, to announce openly and publicly.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Someone who does not testify in this way is like a soldier who flees at the decisive moment in a battle.
- 43:07Speaker 1: But we are no longer witnesses but deserters If we do not speak openly and publicly.
- 43:14Speaker 1: The march for life is therefore a great testimony, number one.
- 43:18Speaker 1: Number two testimony means to say to announce openly and publicly the divine revelation, which involves the original evidence discoverable only by your reason rightfully used.
- 43:31Speaker 1: What is reason for huh?
- 43:33Speaker 1: You've heard me speak of this many times.
- 43:35Speaker 1: Our reason, given to us as a gift from God, is always seeking the truth, will always lead, when it's rightfully used, to God himself.
- 43:45Speaker 1: And then our will joins with that and our will is like a motor to the good, to choose the good, to choose what's beautiful, and so to speak in particular of the gospel in this way, of life and marriage.
- 43:58Speaker 1: This is the foundational piece.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Number three testimony means to say to announce openly and publicly the gospel of life and marriage, as if we were on trial.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Just like jesus, who pilot says what is the truth?
- 44:12Speaker 1: Let me explain myself, cardinal cavara said I have spoken frequently of a confrontation.
- 44:18Speaker 1: This confrontation is increasingly assuming the appearance of a trial, of a legal proceeding, in which the defendant is Jesus and his gospel.
- 44:26Speaker 1: As in every legal proceeding, there are also witnesses in favor, in favor of Jesus and his gospel.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Announcement of the gospel of marriage and life today takes place in the context of hostility, of challenge, of unbelief.
- 44:42Speaker 1: It's like Donald Trump, right in the middle of Washington DC or New York.
- 44:46Speaker 1: We're just surrounded by those who don't believe, and this is the way it is when we speak of marriage and the family.
- 44:52Speaker 1: The alternative is one of two options.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Then, if I don't speak, either I remain silent on the gospel or I say something else.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Obviously, what I have said should not be interpreted as meaning that Christians should render themselves antipathetic to everyone.
- 45:12Speaker 1: He says.
- 45:12Speaker 1: So what is antipathetic to everyone?
- 45:15Speaker 1: Well, imposed in such a way as to show some strong repugnance, right, we don't want to do that because we're going to stand and testify.
- 45:23Speaker 1: That doesn't mean we speak the truth without love.
- 45:26Speaker 1: No, we have to speak the truth in love and we have to speak love, tell people about love and love them in the truth, as St Edith Stein said on her way to the gas chambers.
- 45:38Speaker 1: She said tell the truth in love and love people in the truth.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Either one without the other is a destructive lie.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Right?
- 45:46Speaker 1: Oh, we don't want either one of those Love people.
- 45:49Speaker 1: We're called to love above all Love.
- 45:52Speaker 1: We're all sinners, every one of us, and if we have grace today, if we're avoiding sin somehow, that's because we have gone and accepted that redemption.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Christ did that for us.
- 46:03Speaker 1: We didn't do that on our own, and now we just go to turn around and say you know what Christ did for us?
- 46:08Speaker 1: I have to testify to huh.
- 46:12Speaker 1: St Thomas Aquinas writes it is the same thing, when faced with two contraries, to pursue the one and reject the other.
- 46:19Speaker 1: We have to pursue the one when we find the truth John Paul spoke about this often.
- 46:24Speaker 1: When you find the truth John Paul spoke about this often when you find the truth, stay in the truth and reject the evil.
- 46:28Speaker 1: One Medicine, for example, proposes the cure, while excluding what the illness.
- 46:33Speaker 1: We don't want both.
- 46:34Speaker 1: You've got to decide.
- 46:36Speaker 1: Hence it belongs to the wise man, st Thomas writes, to meditate on the truth, in particular with regard to the first principle, and to refute the opposing falsehood.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Well, here it's pretty simple Save babies, don't allow them to get dismembered and murdered in the womb.
- 46:53Speaker 1: And marriage has a meaning.
- 46:55Speaker 1: You know, you don't have to demean every single person that has same-sex attraction.
- 47:01Speaker 1: You know people don't always ask for their attractions, but you still say your marriage has a meaning and a purpose.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Go to the one.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Always start by inviting people to the crucified risen one, Bring them into the church.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Huh, let it go from there.
- 47:17Speaker 1: In the context of testimony to the gospel Irenix so he uses these words I, ironics and concordicism must be excluded.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Well, ironics is like the middle ground.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Uh, moderation.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Uh, you know you're seeking concili, uh, conciliation, to not disturb the peace.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Huh, I'm not going to say anything, I don't want to disturb the peace.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Well, there are times like that.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Uh, concordism seeking, seeking a state of harmony again, kind of the same thing.
- 47:51Speaker 1: You know, it's the lie of diversity, equity and inclusion.
- 47:53Speaker 1: Everybody's included, and if you go along with that, well, the reality is you're not included.
- 47:59Speaker 1: The only people that are included are the ones who accept the lie.
- 48:02Speaker 1: And so you accept the lie, right, you accept moral relativism.
- 48:05Speaker 1: There is no truth.
- 48:06Speaker 1: And so when you just say, yeah, everybody has their opinion, abortion is wrong for me, but you have your own opinion, same-sex marriage is wrong for me, but who am I to say no, no, no, you have to testify to the truth.
- 48:20Speaker 1: People are free to reject that and you're not hating the truth.
- 48:23Speaker 1: People are free to reject that and you're not hating the person, you're hating the sin.
- 48:28Speaker 1: As St Augustine often wrote.
- 48:30Speaker 1: He said love the sinner but persecute the sin.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Note this well Love the sinner but persecute the sin.
- 48:39Speaker 1: And again, note this well the Latin word persecutor is an intensifying verb.
- 48:45Speaker 1: This is what St Augustine uses.
- 48:47Speaker 1: The meaning is this hunt down the sin, track it down in the hidden places of its lies, condemn the sin, bringing to light its insubstantiality.
- 48:58Speaker 1: I conclude with the quotations Cardinal Caparra said from the great confessor of the faith, the Russian Pavel Florensky Christ is witness in the extreme sense of the word.
- 49:10Speaker 1: He is the witness.
- 49:12Speaker 1: Turn to Christ, accept him, pray to him, kneel before him, kneel before the crucified and risen one and ask for light.
- 49:23Speaker 1: Ask for him to give you grace and the courage and the wisdom to understand what's going on.
- 49:29Speaker 1: So you know, we have to speak the truth in love.
- 49:32Speaker 1: We have to love people in the truth.
- 49:34Speaker 1: At his crucifixion, the Jews and the Romans believed they were only witnessing a historic event, but the event itself was revealed as the truth.
- 49:44Speaker 1: He is the person of the truth.
- 49:46Speaker 1: The truth is not a something, the truth is a somebody, and his name is Jesus Christ, who said when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people to myself, of course, who stand in the truth.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Hey, god bless you.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Good to be with you.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I hope this helped a bit.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I know it can sound pretty harsh, but again, just think about love.
- 50:06Speaker 1: First of all.
- 50:07Speaker 1: We want to love people in the truth and we want to tell the truth in love.
- 50:13Speaker 1: You can't really go wrong with that, even though you'll be condemned for that.
- 50:16Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, we're here to help.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Our job is to bring what's true, good and beautiful in the world.
- 50:23Speaker 1: When I'm speaking to people, I say you know, when you think about dismembering a baby, is that a baby?
- 50:28Speaker 1: Right?
- 50:29Speaker 1: It's true, you can't lie about that.
- 50:38Speaker 1: We know this now.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Is that a good?
- 50:38Speaker 1: Is that good to dismember a baby and pull body pieces out and then sell them, right?
- 50:40Speaker 1: No, that's an evil.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Is that beautiful?
- 50:43Speaker 1: Is that a beautiful act?
- 50:44Speaker 1: No, it's profaning, it's desecrating all that's true, good and beautiful.
- 50:49Speaker 1: How about sodomizing someone, just like our saints that we're memorializing today, to be sodomized, right?
- 50:57Speaker 1: They rejected that.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 51:00Speaker 1: Is that what marriage is?
- 51:03Speaker 1: Can life flow from that act?
- 51:05Speaker 1: No, it can't.
- 51:07Speaker 1: It's false, it's a lie.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Is it a good?
- 51:10Speaker 1: Is it a good?
- 51:11Speaker 1: There's no life coming out.
- 51:13Speaker 1: That's not sexual union.
- 51:15Speaker 1: So it's not true in the first place, right.
- 51:17Speaker 1: And then, is it beautiful?
- 51:19Speaker 1: Or is it profaning the beauty of sacramental marriage?
- 51:23Speaker 1: And again, you know I'm not condemning people.
- 51:27Speaker 1: At the end of the day, you have to love people, but you have to condemn the sins.
- 51:32Speaker 1: You have to say what is true, what is good, what is beautiful.
- 51:35Speaker 1: If we don't do that, we allow evil to run rampant, rampart all over the world, and this is what you're seeing today.
- 51:43Speaker 1: This is the foundational piece.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Remember, it's the Imago Dei.
- 51:46Speaker 1: God created man in his image, in the divine image.
- 51:50Speaker 1: He created them, male and female.
- 51:51Speaker 1: He created them.
- 51:52Speaker 1: God blessed them, saying to them Be fertile, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it.
- 51:56Speaker 1: This is Jesus Christ, the risen, the crucified and risen one who testifies to the truth, who is the bridegroom who marriage is reflecting.
- 52:06Speaker 1: Don't forget that marriage between a man and a woman in life is reflecting Christ's love.
- 52:12Speaker 1: For who?
- 52:12Speaker 1: For the church?
- 52:13Speaker 1: All of us that want to stand in the truth, that are attracted by that force of the crucified and risen one.
- 52:24Speaker 1: This is the bridegroom who pours himself on us right, and this is what we're filled with divine life and love of the crucified and risen one.
- 52:25Speaker 1: This is the bridegroom who pours himself on us right, and this is what we're filled with divine life and love of the Trinity.
- 52:29Speaker 1: So we have the Trinity within our heart and then we express this through marriage and children.
- 52:35Speaker 1: See, when you allow this to be distorted, you're allowing faith to come into your own heart If you don't stand for the truth of this.
- 52:42Speaker 1: This is very, very important.
- 52:44Speaker 1: This is a foundational piece.
- 52:45Speaker 1: If you get this right, this will change your hearts and this will change the hearts of others and the world and those that rejected.
- 52:52Speaker 1: Go back and I was thinking about doing it today, but it's just, we're going too long already.
- 52:58Speaker 1: Go back and read the parable of the sower, matthew, chapter 13.
- 53:03Speaker 1: You can read the whole thing on Matthew 13, but Jesus says this very clear.
- 53:07Speaker 1: I'll just read you a little part of this and tell you why.
- 53:10Speaker 1: So Jesus says this is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
- 53:18Speaker 1: With them, indeed, is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says this and this is where you see the dividing line again between those who accept what's true, good and beautiful and those that reject it for the lies, the evil and the profanity.
- 53:31Speaker 1: And he says this, fulfilled by the prophecy of Isaiah which says this Jesus says you shall indeed hear, but never understand.
- 53:40Speaker 1: You shall indeed see, but never perceive.
- 53:43Speaker 1: For this people's heart has grown dull and their ears are heavy of hearing and their eyes, they have been closed Lest they should perceive with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn to me to heal them.
- 53:58Speaker 1: But then Jesus goes on but blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Truly, I say to you many prophets and righteous men belong to see what you see and did not see it, and to hear what you hear and did not hear it.
- 54:14Speaker 1: But now I came and made myself manifest in the world.
- 54:19Speaker 1: Then he goes on to talk about the parable of the sower explained, and then the parable of the weeds among the wheat, and then you'll see clearly how people are choosing sides here.
- 54:28Speaker 1: It'll really open your mind to what's going on around you.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Hey, god bless you.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Great to be with you.
