- 0:05Speaker 2: On sevent ten, wor.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Well, Rob Shooter, the great columnist, great gossip columnist. He's
- 0:13Speaker 1: got a new book out too. It's a wonderful novel,
- 0:16Speaker 1: very addictive. It's called It Started with a Whisper, Rob
- 0:20Speaker 1: Shooter's new book. It started with a whisper. And make
- 0:23Speaker 1: sure you're signed up for his substack. It's Robshooter dot
- 0:26Speaker 1: substack dot com. Also this podcast Naughty but Nice and
- 0:31Speaker 1: he's with us now, Rob Shooter, how you.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Doing Hey, my friend goods be back? How you doing good? So?
- 0:37Speaker 1: What happened to Hayden Pantier thirty six?
- 0:40Speaker 2: What side isn't it?
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Yeah, really really breaking news overnight. She'd been struggling a
- 0:45Speaker 2: long time. We didn't know how bad her health was
- 0:48Speaker 2: or exactly what happened that she was found unresponsive in
- 0:52Speaker 2: a home in South Carolina on Sunday, and around two
- 0:57Speaker 2: thirty pm she was announced dead. They believe it might
- 1:01Speaker 2: have been a cardiac arrest. The police, the firemen, the
- 1:05Speaker 2: ambulance people have not released any official cause yet, and
- 1:09Speaker 2: we're gonna have to wait for an autopsy to know that.
- 1:11Speaker 2: But she's had a really troubled life. She had a
- 1:14Speaker 2: memoir that came out earlier this year, and she was
- 1:17Speaker 2: really honest about her addictions. Has struggled with alcohol, mental
- 1:21Speaker 2: health issues, even in opioids. And so we know her
- 1:25Speaker 2: as a child actress. We grew up with her Nashville heroes,
- 1:29Speaker 2: and now at just thirty six years old, she's no
- 1:32Speaker 2: longer there.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Wow. Terrible. Hey, another tragic stir. Nick Reiner in jail.
- 1:40Speaker 1: What's going on? What's the latest with the Nick Reiner case.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a lot of legal maneuvers here. So he's
- 1:46Speaker 2: going to go to trial. The death penalty is on
- 1:49Speaker 2: the docket, and so his lawyer's argument. It's very interesting here.
- 1:55Speaker 2: His lawyer's arguing that the one point five million dollar
- 1:58Speaker 2: trust fund that his parents left all their children, he
- 2:02Speaker 2: should have access to that to pay his legal bills. Now,
- 2:06Speaker 2: there's a very interesting clause in California, the Flayer clause,
- 2:10Speaker 2: which says that you can't get money from somebody that
- 2:14Speaker 2: you have killed. However, yeah, I know. So however, the
- 2:19Speaker 2: lawyer saying, we don't know if he killed anybody. In America,
- 2:23Speaker 2: you are innocent until proven guilty. Now, all the evidence
- 2:26Speaker 2: we've seen and certainly doesn't look that way, but we
- 2:29Speaker 2: have to follow the law here. And so what he
- 2:32Speaker 2: is saying to the family, to the estate is that
- 2:37Speaker 2: he's innocent at the moment. He's not been proven guilty,
- 2:40Speaker 2: and so because he is innocent at the moment, he
- 2:43Speaker 2: should have access to that million dollars. And that's something
- 2:47Speaker 2: now that that is going to be debated. So it
- 2:49Speaker 2: seems ridiculous that you can kill potentially allegedly your parents
- 2:54Speaker 2: and then use their money to get off. But that
- 2:56Speaker 2: is basically what his lawyer is arguing.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Well, can't they defense go in and argue just take
- 3:03Speaker 1: a picture of them and hold it up and say,
- 3:05Speaker 1: look at this guy innocent.
- 3:09Speaker 2: That's exactly what they're gonna do. They're not gonna They're
- 3:12Speaker 2: not gonna go. So this that the problem is. This
- 3:14Speaker 2: is this is where things get so ugly and nasty
- 3:16Speaker 2: in families, like this family is suffering. This family is
- 3:20Speaker 2: in real pain. But he's still their brother, and so
- 3:23Speaker 2: they've lost their parents and the person who who has
- 3:27Speaker 2: been accused of killing them is a relative. And so
- 3:31Speaker 2: the family, i'm told, is being all the part in
- 3:34Speaker 2: different directions that some family members are still supporting their
- 3:39Speaker 2: his brother and his sister are not. But we have
- 3:42Speaker 2: seen his aunt turn up at the jail and so
- 3:45Speaker 2: she's been to visit him.
- 3:47Speaker 1: What are they supporting.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I think they want to believe that he's innocent.
- 3:54Speaker 2: He said he's innocent, and so they want to believe that.
- 3:58Speaker 2: We see all the time when all the evidence points
- 4:01Speaker 2: in one direction, and just some people won't believe it.
- 4:04Speaker 2: They won't, they can't believe it. And so, yeah, his
- 4:08Speaker 2: aunt is standing by him. His brother and his sister
- 4:11Speaker 2: are not. But it gets tricky now because money's up.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle were very wealthy people
- 4:18Speaker 2: and they left most of that money to their children.
- 4:21Speaker 2: They didn't realize one of their children could be the
- 4:23Speaker 2: one that killed them.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Well what a story, uh, Rob Shooter. Mega Housewives explain
- 4:30Speaker 1: that to us. Yeah, Mega Housewives.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Andy Cohen has been a longtime hater of President Trump.
- 4:37Speaker 2: He's made it very clear what his views are about
- 4:39Speaker 2: President Trumpwives series. Yeah, created them, He's the executive producer.
- 4:45Speaker 2: It's his idea. He's made millions and millions from these ladies,
- 4:49Speaker 2: from these shows, these franchises now that appear all over
- 4:52Speaker 2: the country, if not the world, And so He has
- 4:55Speaker 2: recently asked about his his political views and the fact
- 4:58Speaker 2: that many people on The Real House Science are supporters
- 5:02Speaker 2: of President Trump, and Andy said, it's not a political show.
- 5:05Speaker 2: It's a show about different opinions, and having people with
- 5:09Speaker 2: different opinions is a good idea. I think he's right
- 5:11Speaker 2: about that. He didn't really want to get into it
- 5:14Speaker 2: with his own views, but it's interesting because he has
- 5:18Speaker 2: been very, very vocal. Yet I think what Andy has
- 5:23Speaker 2: had to figure out rather later than sooner is that
- 5:27Speaker 2: fifty percent of the country voted to mister Trump. And
- 5:30Speaker 2: if you want a television show, to cut off fifty
- 5:35Speaker 2: percent of potential viewers is just bad business. And at
- 5:38Speaker 2: the end of the day, Bravo only cares about one thing,
- 5:42Speaker 2: not who's in the White House, but how much money
- 5:44Speaker 2: Bravo's making. And so I think they'd had to come
- 5:48Speaker 2: to this conclusion, this realization later than sooner. But moving
- 5:55Speaker 2: forward now we can expect to see many, many different
- 5:58Speaker 2: people on that show who maybe in the past might
- 6:01Speaker 2: not have got past the cast in because the boss
- 6:04Speaker 2: doesn't like this point of view.
- 6:07Speaker 1: You know, they should just they always add another one
- 6:09Speaker 1: and another Housewives, They should just why not just do
- 6:12Speaker 1: one called Mega Housewives.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I think they should do Palm I asked them, will
- 6:17Speaker 2: they do Palm Beach? Will they do all the ladies
- 6:20Speaker 2: going to maraa Laga, all the ladies together. I can
- 6:22Speaker 2: see Lara Trump on it. I can see Kimberly Guildford. Oh,
- 6:25Speaker 2: it'd be great. I'm told there has no plans to
- 6:28Speaker 2: move forward with that.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Well you can't. You can't. No, you can't do mari
- 6:31Speaker 1: A Lago because those women are all eighty years old
- 6:34Speaker 1: and they're all, how are you?
- 6:35Speaker 2: It's like.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Beach, maybe Palm Beach, but the oldientas of mari A
- 6:44Speaker 1: Lago would not make for a good No, I don't
- 6:48Speaker 1: think so. Hey, what is Tyra Banks suing Netflix? What
- 6:52Speaker 1: the hell's out all about?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Netflix had this amazing documentary. It was a couple of
- 6:56Speaker 2: hours long of brilliant doctumentary about America His Next Top
- 7:00Speaker 2: Model member. When Tyra invented that show and it ran
- 7:03Speaker 2: for I think about ten years, and it was her show.
- 7:05Speaker 2: She wasn't just the host that she was the executive producer.
- 7:08Speaker 2: She created it. And so Tyra Banks has been criticized.
- 7:12Speaker 2: There's been a lot of pushback that things they did
- 7:14Speaker 2: on that show probably weren't the best things to do.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And so they did a documentary basically to expose this show,
- 7:22Speaker 2: what it was like for the ladies who were the
- 7:24Speaker 2: models on the show, the young girls, the young women
- 7:26Speaker 2: who were on the show, and how some people have
- 7:29Speaker 2: said it was abusive, has happened on the show that
- 7:32Speaker 2: that was really ugly, and so Tyra did participate. They
- 7:36Speaker 2: approached Tyra Banks, the producers behind the Netflix show, and
- 7:40Speaker 2: said we're going to do this, do you want to
- 7:41Speaker 2: be part of it? And then, to their surprise, Tyra
- 7:44Speaker 2: said yes, and she gave them three and a half
- 7:46Speaker 2: hours of interviews, of which they used about sixteen minutes.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Now she's claiming that they cherry picked her quotes and
- 7:54Speaker 2: they made her look bad on purpose. What Netflix are
- 7:56Speaker 2: claiming is, Tyra Banks, you know TV better than anybody,
- 8:00Speaker 2: and you do hours and hours of taping for one
- 8:02Speaker 2: sound bite. And so they were like, you want to
- 8:05Speaker 2: bring it on, we'll fight back. And remember, at the
- 8:08Speaker 2: end of the day, Netflix has that three and a
- 8:10Speaker 2: half hours which they could release, and I'm told that
- 8:14Speaker 2: it is all pretty explosive, not of it necessarily makes
- 8:18Speaker 2: Tyreer look very, very good.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Oohkay hey, speaking of all this, the Taylor Swift wedding,
- 8:23Speaker 1: they spent a fortune on a video crew and recorded
- 8:25Speaker 1: the whole thing. We always heard it would end up
- 8:27Speaker 1: becoming a streaming special Netflix. Is there any word on that.
- 8:31Speaker 1: We haven't heard a thing about gone.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Quiet for a while. Taylor's sort have taken her back
- 8:36Speaker 2: seat for a while. He's back in Kansas City playing
- 8:39Speaker 2: for the for the NFL. She actually popped up in London.
- 8:41Speaker 2: I have some friends in London who told me she's
- 8:43Speaker 2: over in the UK at the moment at her friend's
- 8:45Speaker 2: friend's wedding. Now there's no news yet and what's going
- 8:48Speaker 2: to happen with this. Taylor doesn't just put stuff out.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Everything is very strategically planned. So I would guess she's
- 8:54Speaker 2: holding onto this footage, these photographs until she has a
- 8:58Speaker 2: new album she's writing at the moment. Taylor, at the
- 9:02Speaker 2: end of the day, makes all her money on music.
- 9:04Speaker 2: She's not a movie star, she's not a TV star.
- 9:07Speaker 2: It's the music and that's the center, that's the cornerstone
- 9:11Speaker 2: of the Taylor Swift business and that is not going
- 9:14Speaker 2: to change. So the only way that we'll get to
- 9:16Speaker 2: see this footage that we'll get to see anything from
- 9:19Speaker 2: the wedding is when it helps her promote her new music.
- 9:22Speaker 2: So I'm told, not until twenty twenty seven, there's going
- 9:25Speaker 2: to be nothing this show. But maybe next year she'll
- 9:27Speaker 2: have a new album, and that's when she'll she'll use
- 9:30Speaker 2: all this, all the footage that she owns. It's in
- 9:32Speaker 2: her balls and ain't gonna leak out to ABC. Don't
- 9:34Speaker 2: have it. Nobody is in her ball. She owns it,
- 9:37Speaker 2: and so I will predict that we'll see it when
- 9:39Speaker 2: she wants us to buy a new album.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Very interesting as always. Robshooter great stuff. Hey, everybody, get
- 9:44Speaker 1: his book. We follow him on substack. You'll get all
