  Speaker 2: in my life. God, God is a gentleman, you know.

  Speaker 2: God is an absolute gentleman. He will not come in

  Speaker 2: unless he's invited. He don't just barge into your life.

  Speaker 2: He gives us the power of choice. You know, if

  Speaker 2: you say you got it, I don't need you, he

  Speaker 2: lets you have it. If you say I need you,

  Speaker 2: come see about me.

  Speaker 3: He right there. It's just a real simple thing, man.

  Speaker 2: So always say to people this, if you've gotten yourself

  Speaker 2: into something, and please know I have.

  Speaker 2: That's why I'm so adamant about it, because I've gotten

  Speaker 2: myself in some circumstances and positions in my life. Well,

  Speaker 2: I've been, I've been. I've had some low moments. Man,

  Speaker 2: I've had some moments where I did not know what
• 1:17
  Speaker 2: to do. I didn't know what was next, I didn't
• 1:21
  Speaker 2: know how to go about it. I didn't have no

  Speaker 2: more ideas. I was stuck. I thought a couple of times, well,

  Speaker 2: might not make it past this one. But then if

  Speaker 2: I don't make it past it, what's gonna happen? And

  Speaker 2: then I held on to this little thing that my
• 1:41
  Speaker 2: mother kept talking to me about. She said, sometimes some
• 1:45
  Speaker 2: when you ain't got nothing else in you, just hope,
• 1:48
  Speaker 2: she said, just hope it'll be all right, you know.

  Speaker 2: And what I've learned in my life is that hope
• 1:55
  Speaker 2: is the beginning of faith. Hope is just is there

  Speaker 2: myssibility out there for me? I show hope, something happened.

  Speaker 2: See hope is okay, man, Because like I say, for me,

  Speaker 2: the way I've lived my life, hope was the beginning
• 2:14
  Speaker 2: of faith. It was just the idea. It's just the

  Speaker 2: thought that something could change for me, that something could

  Speaker 2: be a little bit different from me, that maybe, man,
• 2:25
  Speaker 2: just maybe for some reason, I could be saved, I
• 2:31
  Speaker 2: could be rescued, things could turn around, it could hit
• 2:36
  Speaker 2: any other direction. Maybe I could quit messing up. Maybe
• 2:41
  Speaker 2: somebody will forgive me, maybe somebody will just say all right.

  Speaker 2: I don't know, but I can't count the times I've
• 2:49
  Speaker 2: been in that position. But then once I hope a
• 2:53
  Speaker 2: little bit, and then I remember, also my mother. Because
• 2:56
  Speaker 2: she was a Sunday school teacher. She taught me the
• 2:59
  Speaker 2: most va a lesson I've ever learned in my life.

  Speaker 2: Nothing has been greater in my life than my faith.

  Speaker 2: She taught me to pray. Mama used to say, when
• 3:10
  Speaker 2: it get real, dog for your son, prayer changes things.

  Speaker 3: She said.

  Speaker 2: When you seem like you lost and you can't find

  Speaker 2: your way, stop and pray, she said, because prayer change

  Speaker 2: is things. You know, when you get a point in
• 3:25
  Speaker 2: your life when you've done all you can do and
• 3:27
  Speaker 2: you can't do no more, and you just don't know

  Speaker 2: what to do next, she said, stop, son, pray and
• 3:35
  Speaker 2: combine that prayer with that hope that you got, she said,
• 3:41
  Speaker 2: because that hope is the beginning of faith, she said.

  Speaker 2: If you pray just hoping, she said, to God come
• 3:49
  Speaker 2: through for you. That'll give you confidence that he can
• 3:52
  Speaker 2: do it again. And then after a while, you quit hoping,
• 3:57
  Speaker 2: she saying, you start believing, she said, And that's when
• 4:00
  Speaker 2: you're on to something. If you can turn that hope
• 4:04
  Speaker 2: into belief, that hope into Faith's that's the ability to
• 4:15
  Speaker 2: believe in something that you can't see. But the key
• 4:18
  Speaker 2: though the faith is you're believing in something that you
• 4:22
  Speaker 2: can't see. See hoping a little bit different from me. Now,
• 4:26
  Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure. Like I say oftentimes to tell a
• 4:28
  Speaker 2: lot of people who can explain this thing a lot
• 4:30
  Speaker 2: better than I can to you, hope is.

  Speaker 3: Just kind of I don't know how to I don't
• 4:35
  Speaker 3: know how to say it. But I'm just telling you.

  Speaker 3: Hope is. You're just hoping it work right.

  Speaker 2: You just have a thought in your mind that you know, Man,

  Speaker 2: whoever you are, or whoever you are, whatever you are

  Speaker 2: to me.

  Speaker 3: God, I show hope something change. Hope helps. Man.

  Speaker 2: If you ain't strong enough to have faith, have hope, hope,

  Speaker 2: and then if you pray with some hope and God

  Speaker 2: answers your prayer, then that hope gains a little confidence,

  Speaker 2: and after a while that confidence becomes faith. Now the

  Speaker 2: ain't just hoping, but I'm believing. I'm believing in something

  Speaker 2: that I cannot see. Faith has been the key to
• 5:26
  Speaker 2: my entire existence, even when I didn't have any It
• 5:33
  Speaker 2: was faith, as I look back on it, that has
• 5:37
  Speaker 2: gotten me here, and not just faith, but my faith. See,
• 5:45
  Speaker 2: you will only get to where you're going in your
• 5:47
  Speaker 2: life based on your faith. See a lot of people
• 5:54
  Speaker 2: get the word faith confused, like what's your faith? And
• 5:57
  Speaker 2: then they start going down this whole list of all
• 6:00
  Speaker 2: these different religions out here.

  Speaker 3: But really an essence, man, when I talk.

  Speaker 2: To people about faith, I'm talking to you about your
• 6:09
  Speaker 2: your belief. How much do you believe in the unseen?

  Speaker 3: See?

  Speaker 2: Faith is the core of all that is happening to
• 6:21
  Speaker 2: me today. It is the faith that I have in
• 6:25
  Speaker 2: my relationship with God that enables me to just oftentimes,
• 6:32
  Speaker 2: if I stay on the right course and believe a
• 6:35
  Speaker 2: certain way and act a certain way, his blessings just poor.

  Speaker 2: They just come. And it comes in a lot of
• 6:44
  Speaker 2: little ways too. I've started to notice. See it ain't
• 6:47
  Speaker 2: just a lot of people think blessings is money. Nah, man,
• 6:51
  Speaker 2: that ain't it. It's coverage. It's every time my plane
• 6:55
  Speaker 2: lands safe. It's every time they predict bad weather. Now

  Speaker 2: get up in the sky and it don't be no
• 7:02
  Speaker 2: bad weather. You know this is this is favor. These

  Speaker 2: are blessings that get poured out to me. Somebody call

  Speaker 2: me and offer me something, not money, but an opportunity.

  Speaker 3: See, blessings come a lot of ways.

  Speaker 2: But once you tie in to God, once you tie

  Speaker 2: in and you start doing the best you can do,

  Speaker 2: and you start asking for him to make you a

  Speaker 2: better person, to help shape and mold you into the

  Speaker 2: kind of man or person that he wants you to be.

  Speaker 2: You be amazed what God can do with you, man,

  Speaker 2: if you just invite me in and allow him to
• 7:42
  Speaker 2: be a part of your life. I mean, what you
• 7:44
  Speaker 2: got to lose out there? Come on, why would you
• 7:47
  Speaker 2: not change? Why would you not allow God to be
• 7:51
  Speaker 2: a part of your life. God got some big plans
• 7:54
  Speaker 2: for you. If he didn't, you wouldn't keep waking up.
