- 0:12Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three to two
- 0:14Speaker 1: one zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to
- 0:17Speaker 1: Chris and Manhattan. Chris, how you doing?
- 0:19Speaker 2: I'm good? Thanks Mark. First, let me just say I
- 0:21Speaker 2: wish you a very happy holiday season and I hope
- 0:24Speaker 2: you have a great vacation. Second, the about Trump. So
- 0:30Speaker 2: I think what he's doing, wait, wait, oh wait, can
- 0:36Speaker 2: I talk to I think he's handy.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Think you're gonna you're gonna start whining. Why does he
- 0:41Speaker 1: have to do?
- 0:42Speaker 2: But I am winning. I think he's Everything he's doing
- 0:46Speaker 2: that's good is going to be turned turned be undone
- 0:48Speaker 2: by the Democrats. I think he's handing the election to them.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Well, I mean he's not running for election. He's not what,
- 0:54Speaker 1: he's not running for anything.
- 0:55Speaker 2: No, I know he's not. But they're going to vote
- 0:58Speaker 2: against his policies.
- 0:59Speaker 1: The we don't know that because that's a year away.
- 1:01Speaker 1: It's a year from now, so the landscape will change
- 1:04Speaker 1: many many times.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Well, do I know things are more expensive. I know
- 1:08Speaker 2: it's not his.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Fault, but you live in Manhattan, gases now two dollars
- 1:12Speaker 1: a gallon, but if you're in New York it's still
- 1:14Speaker 1: four or five dollars.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I know, it's under three in some parts of a
- 1:16Speaker 2: long round, I know, but but food is expensive.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And again that's New York City.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Mark, give have a great vacation.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I love the guy, but he's always why does he
- 1:29Speaker 1: have to do? Let's go to Mike in Ulster County. Mike,
- 1:33Speaker 1: how you doing, Hey, Mark, Merry Christmas?
- 1:36Speaker 3: First ball. I did watch the speech last night. He did.
- 1:40Speaker 3: The President did look uncomfortable because it's not his venue.
- 1:44Speaker 3: But it's the speech that had to be made because
- 1:47Speaker 3: the media and the Democrats are playing on the fact that,
- 1:51Speaker 3: for the most part, the American people are very impatient.
- 1:54Speaker 3: They want instant gratification.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And well, don't blame them now. It's as I said earlier,
- 2:00Speaker 1: they've been had this fake narrative drilled into their head
- 2:03Speaker 1: that we are suddenly in an affordability crisis when the
- 2:05Speaker 1: economy has actually greatly improved unless year. So he needed
- 2:08Speaker 1: to make the speech. It was a bad setting. This
- 2:10Speaker 1: was all designed by Susie Wiles and the staff, and
- 2:13Speaker 1: she's great, but she you know. As far as media skill,
- 2:18Speaker 1: she's still in nineteen eighty three with Ronald Reagan, where
- 2:21Speaker 1: you get a podium and you read the teleprompter. It
- 2:23Speaker 1: doesn't work anymore. And Trump, I think he'll see it
- 2:27Speaker 1: was a dud the speech last night. It looks good
- 2:30Speaker 1: on paper, it was well written, but the delivery wasn't great.
- 2:33Speaker 1: So he'll never allow that to happen again. Next time,
- 2:35Speaker 1: he'll get some modern day communications people to come up
- 2:39Speaker 1: with a better setting and a better way to do that.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Let's go to Don in New York City. Don, how
- 2:43Speaker 1: you doing?
- 2:45Speaker 4: Yes? Mark, listen, Mark, are you familiar with the song?
- 2:49Speaker 4: Till after the Holidays?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Tell?
- 2:51Speaker 2: What?
- 2:53Speaker 1: Till after the holiday?
- 2:54Speaker 2: Oh?
- 2:54Speaker 1: Till after the Holidays? Am I familiar with it? Yes?
- 2:58Speaker 2: Not?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Really? Was this like Al Jolson in the twenties? Huh?
- 3:04Speaker 1: Who said Garlands sang it? Judy Garland? Oh, I know,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I don't remember it? What? Why? Oh?
- 3:13Speaker 3: Because I heard it recently on the radio?
- 3:16Speaker 1: Uh? And who was playing at al Jasbo Collins? I'm kidding,
- 3:21Speaker 1: I was on was on WABC. Oh, okay, well it
- 3:25Speaker 1: must be good names. Well, you know she recorded some beautiful,
- 3:28Speaker 1: beautiful New Year's Christmas ballads. That's probably one of them
- 3:32Speaker 1: from the late fifties, very sad.
- 3:34Speaker 3: It's to like whatever happened to Christmas?
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, I'll check it out. You know, that's
- 3:38Speaker 1: one thing she was good. She would do these touching,
- 3:41Speaker 1: sad ballads. She was brilliant at it, being a great actress.
- 3:44Speaker 1: She was one of the great singers of the late
- 3:46Speaker 1: fifties and early sixties. In fact, to listen to her
- 3:49Speaker 1: live album at Carnegie Hall, one of the greatest albums ever.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Let's go to Joe in the Bronx. Joe, how you doing?
- 3:56Speaker 4: I'm doing better than I deserve and.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I hope you i'd agree with that. You don't deserve
- 4:00Speaker 1: to do this?
- 4:00Speaker 4: Well, knowing you no, because it's good this way, I'm
- 4:04Speaker 4: not bitter.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Well, that's good.
- 4:07Speaker 4: So anyway, I was thinking about a way to help
- 4:11Speaker 4: for the mid terms. Yes, and I came up with
- 4:14Speaker 4: something good. In one of my plays, character says, you know.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it sounds good. That's good.
- 4:27Speaker 4: They don't need the Wooden Horse because they have the
- 4:31Speaker 4: Democratic Party.
- 4:34Speaker 1: That's great. How did you come up with That's pretty amazing? Really, oh, phenomenal.
- 4:40Speaker 4: I don't know if you're kidding me.
- 4:41Speaker 1: No, no, no, it's excellent. Yeah, no, anyway, thanks for
- 4:46Speaker 1: coming up with that. Anyway, Hey, I forgot to mention
- 4:50Speaker 1: one great thing in that speech last You know, the tariffs.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Some people love them, some people don't. But the tariffs
- 4:55Speaker 1: have brought in zillions of dollars. Money is just flowing
- 4:59Speaker 1: in from the tariffs. One thing he announced was every
- 5:01Speaker 1: he called them warriors, every military man and woman will
- 5:05Speaker 1: get a thousand dollars bonus this year. And he said
- 5:08Speaker 1: they'll deliver it before Christmas. So all of our great
- 5:11Speaker 1: military soldiers one thousand dollars bonus from the tariffs. Hey,
- 5:15Speaker 1: when we come back, we're going to talk to one
- 5:17Speaker 1: of the greatest economists in the world. We get a
- 5:19Speaker 1: real expert to talk about the economy, affordability, inflation, the
- 5:23Speaker 1: speech last night. We'll get to all of that next
- 5:25Speaker 1: on seven to ten WR with Steve Moore. We hope
