Race-Based Grant Ends But Funds Still Flow | Milwaukee News
A landmark Supreme Court ruling has shut down a race-based grant program designed to help students of color pay for college, but students who already received funds this year can still use them. The Minority Undergraduate Retention Grant, which provided up to $2,500 annually to specific racial groups, was deemed unconstitutional for relying on race. While the program ends after the 2026-27 school year, existing funds remain valid for tuition and expenses.
