Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, welcome to another episode of the Off the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Air podcast from the Lynch and Taco Morning Show here
- 0:06Speaker 1: at one O one one w j r R in Orlando.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I'm Pat Lynch, Taco Bob across from me.
- 0:12Speaker 2: A little behind the scenes thing that I think I've noticed,
- 0:15Speaker 2: and this is way behind the scenes, don't worry. You
- 0:19Speaker 2: know how we have our cough buttons right here, right here,
- 0:22Speaker 2: there's a cough button. You know. If I do this
- 0:25Speaker 2: during the podcast and we're video and Facebook live watch,
- 0:32Speaker 2: the camera still picks it up the audio somehow. So
- 0:38Speaker 2: just a little trick. I noticed this because I usually
- 0:40Speaker 2: watch all of our different stuff that we Facebook.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Live, so there's no point in hitting the cough switch.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I don't know, So just cough, spit, burp whatever it
- 0:49Speaker 1: is you do, fart.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Lift your balls and cough. No so so I don't
- 0:53Speaker 2: know for a fact, but that's why I just did
- 0:56Speaker 2: it now so I could test it.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Okay, speaking of behind the scenes stuff, did you enjoy
- 1:01Speaker 1: the poster that just appeared in the infamous fourth floor
- 1:05Speaker 1: bathroom there bathroom King of Central Florida.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yes, I do. I liked it, and I think that
- 1:12Speaker 2: my guess of why it's there is probably correct.
- 1:16Speaker 1: It's an Uncle Sam, you know, wants you.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Poster, we want you to join like the military or whatever.
- 1:22Speaker 1: And this one has been customized to address an issue
- 1:27Speaker 1: that we've already brought up, not just here but during
- 1:30Speaker 1: our show. That bathroom has had so many stories over
- 1:34Speaker 1: the years, but the latest situation has been there's two
- 1:36Speaker 1: urnals in there. The one if you're looking at the wall,
- 1:38Speaker 1: the one on the left basically just is a cauldron
- 1:42Speaker 1: of stu.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just discuss. They're so bad that even I
- 1:48Speaker 2: stopped using the urnals and now pee in a toilet.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So the sign, this Uncle Sam sign that has appeared,
- 1:56Speaker 1: seems to address what the root cause of the urinal
- 2:00Speaker 1: not functioning properly must be. I'm assuming that's my guess.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It says, does not want you to put Uncle Sam
- 2:07Speaker 1: does not want you to put your what are they.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Called your zen's in the Uh.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Those are the smokeless tobacco pouches.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah, the zen pouches in the urinal.
- 2:19Speaker 1: So somebody was spitting those out into the urinal, and
- 2:22Speaker 1: I guess it caused the clog that was preventing that
- 2:25Speaker 1: particular urinal from flushing and thus creating the horrendous odor,
- 2:30Speaker 1: perma odor that's been in there for the better part
- 2:33Speaker 1: of the last month.
- 2:34Speaker 2: And when you'd walk away, there was a urine pond
- 2:40Speaker 2: in the urinal because it would not go down. That
- 2:43Speaker 2: is my guess as to why that signs up, because
- 2:46Speaker 2: it would make sense, right if somebody as gross as
- 2:49Speaker 2: me stopped using the urinals because they're that gross and
- 2:52Speaker 2: goes in a toilet. Now pease number one on a toilet.
- 2:56Speaker 2: You know they're brad.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Well, I guess, so we neither of us have tried
- 3:02Speaker 1: the urinal to see if it is now functioning or not. No,
- 3:06Speaker 1: I've been using the alternate one.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Sign just popped up, so I didn't even test it.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I just routine. I just immediately go right to the toilet.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I would think they'd slap that sign up after they
- 3:16Speaker 1: unclogged the urinal and got it functioning. Yeah, that was
- 3:19Speaker 1: my guest. Yeah, well, we'll have to test that out tomorrow.
- 3:22Speaker 1: We'll report back.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah, we're the urinal test exactly.
- 3:26Speaker 1: You know, if it comes to anything, bathroom lady, do
- 3:29Speaker 1: you know this show is going to address it because
- 3:32Speaker 1: it is the you know, what we do is at
- 3:34Speaker 1: the heart of things, this public service.
- 3:36Speaker 2: And about the kids.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Yes, of course the kids. Don't forget the kids. A
- 3:41Speaker 1: big thank you again to everyone who came out to
- 3:44Speaker 1: Earthday Birthday this past weekend. The return of Earthday Birthday
- 3:48Speaker 1: after a year hiatus. Appears most had a good time.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I know we did.
- 3:53Speaker 2: It is a great time. The merchandise line, we know
- 3:57Speaker 2: that sucked, and hopefully it's corrected next year. A listener
- 4:00Speaker 2: pointed out, you guys say that every year.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Okay, let me stop it right. I'm going to go
- 4:06Speaker 1: on the record right now as to what I suggested
- 4:09Speaker 1: we do to fix that issue. And I floated it,
- 4:14Speaker 1: already floated this up the flagpole to the decision makers
- 4:17Speaker 1: and they all like the idea. Okay, so let's hold
- 4:19Speaker 1: our feet to the fire on this.
- 4:21Speaker 2: My feet ain't in no fire.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Rather well, but we're the ones who have to take
- 4:25Speaker 1: the heat from our listeners who had to endure that
- 4:29Speaker 1: ungodly situation at the merch booth. Too many people wanted merch,
- 4:34Speaker 1: there weren't enough lines at the tent that was set
- 4:37Speaker 1: up and dedicated to merch sales, and.
- 4:38Speaker 2: The electronics weren't working.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Not on a consistent basis. I said, Look, if we're
- 4:44Speaker 1: gonna have a merchandise tent, that's fine. Why don't we
- 4:47Speaker 1: make that a secondary merchandise thing and have a main
- 4:52Speaker 1: merchandise set up in one of the exhibit buildings. You
- 4:55Speaker 1: know where we had the loud lounge. There's plenty of
- 4:57Speaker 1: room in there. You could display every single shirt from
- 5:00Speaker 1: the station and all the bands participating, hang them up
- 5:04Speaker 1: on the wall like you would see in a big
- 5:06Speaker 1: display at a concert. Put out a row of tables
- 5:09Speaker 1: against the wall. You could have twenty lanes, twenty different
- 5:13Speaker 1: people working selling the merchandise, moving things along.
- 5:18Speaker 2: And to fix the electronics problem, you suggested.
- 5:23Speaker 1: We'd be hardwired inside, we'd be inside.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I just say I wanted to tell them the rest
- 5:27Speaker 2: of what the good part is is hardwired, so you
- 5:31Speaker 2: don't have to worry about being you know, going off
- 5:34Speaker 2: Wi Fi.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's what's been proposed. It sounds like it's doable.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I don't know if they're gonna have twenty so it
- 5:40Speaker 2: don't count us on that, you.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Know what I'm saying, though it obviously there.
- 5:44Speaker 2: You know how people can be sometimes.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Right, I know, I know it Just message has been received.
- 5:50Speaker 1: We understand, we screwed up again.
- 5:52Speaker 2: I heard Pat Lynch say last year that it would
- 5:56Speaker 2: be twenty.
- 5:57Speaker 1: There were sixteen.
- 5:58Speaker 2: There were four, uh on.
- 6:02Speaker 1: But no, there's We're not trying to deny that the
- 6:05Speaker 1: oh it sucked.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I walked by it and was gonna go help. And
- 6:09Speaker 2: I saw how many people were trying to help in
- 6:11Speaker 2: there work it and run thing.
- 6:13Speaker 1: And I said, was this before or after you were
- 6:15Speaker 1: asleep in the VIP area, the listener VIP area after? No,
- 6:20Speaker 1: it was before before.
- 6:22Speaker 2: That was the best nap I've ever had.
- 6:23Speaker 1: To Quite a few people comment on were you okay
- 6:26Speaker 1: or not? I said, yeah, he's fine.
- 6:28Speaker 2: I had the choice. I a nap every day. Okay,
- 6:32Speaker 2: we all know this, we know. But I had the
- 6:35Speaker 2: choice to go all the way from where we were,
- 6:39Speaker 2: and we had about probably another hour and a half
- 6:42Speaker 2: before another band and Drew finally had a break, and
- 6:45Speaker 2: I say, okay, I can walk down this thing, find
- 6:48Speaker 2: the boss, get the keys to the RV, then go
- 6:52Speaker 2: a quarter mile walk to get there, and then I
- 6:56Speaker 2: have the responsibility. Look at the couches. Nobody said on
- 7:00Speaker 2: this one there were like five open. I had an idea.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I just laid right back on the couch, took a
- 7:06Speaker 2: big fat nap. I was awoke or awake awakened. I
- 7:11Speaker 2: was wakened. Somebody woke me up at one point and said, hey,
- 7:16Speaker 2: this is for people who pay, and then they looked where.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I go, oh hey, they go, oh, it's you, Taco.
- 7:22Speaker 2: You're all right.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I did have one listener was concerned that you were dead. Really, yes,
- 7:28Speaker 1: I think Taco is dead, and I'm like, I go,
- 7:32Speaker 1: last time I saw him, he was looking a little rough,
- 7:34Speaker 1: but I don't think he was anywhere near death status.
- 7:38Speaker 1: They said, well, he's he's collapsed over on a couch
- 7:40Speaker 1: in the listener vp. I go, oh god, I think
- 7:43Speaker 1: that's probably where he's decided to take. I don't know
- 7:47Speaker 1: how many naps you ended up having. Was it just
- 7:49Speaker 1: the one? Okay? I assured them. I said that that's
- 7:52Speaker 1: got to be his napping location.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Probably thought that I was dead because I napped with
- 7:58Speaker 2: all this loud peepul music and everything around me. But
- 8:03Speaker 2: I had been out there since noon the day before. Yeah,
- 8:06Speaker 2: And so I was out there from Friday at noon
- 8:10Speaker 2: until Sunday at Basically I rolled in my house at
- 8:14Speaker 2: twelve oh four. But that time period, though, when you
- 8:18Speaker 2: can get an app in on all those couches were comfy.
- 8:21Speaker 1: We do have to factor in the beer consumption as well.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yeah, but you remember I usually drink out there two
- 8:29Speaker 2: waters to every beer, so yeah, it was perfect.
- 8:33Speaker 1: All right, it's a good time.
- 8:35Speaker 2: So thank you to everybody who participated on Earthday Birthday,
- 8:38Speaker 2: because we could say it a million times, but we
- 8:41Speaker 2: truly mean it. That's a concert that we tried to
- 8:44Speaker 2: do as affordable as possible for you, our listeners and
- 8:49Speaker 2: us as a big birthday, you know, like and this
- 8:52Speaker 2: is a big one because Pat and I hope it'll
- 8:54Speaker 2: be our thirtieth year together.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Love the fact that the weather that was perhaps the
- 8:58Speaker 1: best weather we've ever had on earth Day Birthday, and
- 9:01Speaker 1: a lot was explained that. You know, we moved it
- 9:03Speaker 1: to March from the usual April place, and I think
- 9:06Speaker 1: that was a smart move. Gets a little bit further
- 9:08Speaker 1: away from Rockville.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Who we work with anyway.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Sure, sure, but it was good to see Danny Wimmer
- 9:13Speaker 1: out there as well. It's good to see him there,
- 9:15Speaker 1: one of our sponsors of this as we are a
- 9:17Speaker 1: sponsor of Welcome to Rockville, which gearing up for that
- 9:20Speaker 1: in May Ayton International Speedway. That's gonna be a lot
- 9:22Speaker 1: of fun. Tune to be a lot of chances for
- 9:24Speaker 1: you to win tickets from us, as we are the
- 9:27Speaker 1: local radio station you know with Rockville. In fact, we
- 9:31Speaker 1: have them all next week next week. Yeah, be sure
- 9:33Speaker 1: you're voting and you say we played each morning, it'll
- 9:35Speaker 1: qualify you. And this isn't just one off tickets. These
- 9:38Speaker 1: are four day passes. So that's all to look forward
- 9:41Speaker 1: to next week in the mornings with us during the
- 9:43Speaker 1: actual radio show.
- 9:44Speaker 2: And if you're new to town or new to the podcast
- 9:47Speaker 2: a you're thinking, what's Rockville. It's a big ass.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Rock co Oh you would have to know it rock
- 9:51Speaker 1: I would think everybody would. But you're a music fan.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I mean this year Foo Fighters are playing just a
- 9:57Speaker 2: million bands.
- 9:58Speaker 1: It's great. It's gonna be awesome. So there's that. What
- 10:01Speaker 1: else did we need to address this.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Opening day of baseball, even though we're not baseball fans.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah, well, you know, I I don't mind watching I'd
- 10:11Speaker 1: prefer to watch it in person. Then on TV, I
- 10:13Speaker 1: thought you were going to say, paint dry. No, No,
- 10:15Speaker 1: I don't mind watching baseball in person. I'm never going
- 10:19Speaker 1: to be like a season ticket holder or anything like
- 10:21Speaker 1: that level. I would like to watch it, Yeah, and
- 10:24Speaker 1: that would what brings us to this, We've talked about
- 10:27Speaker 1: this on the show before. Is the nine nine to
- 10:29Speaker 1: nine challenge which baseball fans will do, which is nine
- 10:34Speaker 1: beers and nine hot dogs in nine innings, which is
- 10:37Speaker 1: borderline insanity if you really want to think about it.
- 10:42Speaker 2: What's my belly hurt?
- 10:43Speaker 1: What's humorous is as today is the first full day
- 10:46Speaker 1: of baseball, the opening uh, you know, weekend of Baseball
- 10:50Speaker 1: twenty twenty six, there's actually a handful of stadiums around
- 10:54Speaker 1: the country that are embracing the nine to nine to
- 10:57Speaker 1: nine deal as an in stadium promotion. Before it was
- 10:59Speaker 1: your something fans did. It wasn't encouraged or endorsed. It
- 11:03Speaker 1: was just, hey, can you drink nine beers and eat
- 11:05Speaker 1: nine hot dogs over nine innings?
- 11:07Speaker 2: Hell?
- 11:07Speaker 1: Yeah. You have to keep in mind there's a couple
- 11:09Speaker 1: of caveats here that make that extremely difficult. The one
- 11:13Speaker 1: that was started by the fans and started to just
- 11:16Speaker 1: kind of you know, grassroots take off. That's a regular
- 11:19Speaker 1: size hot dog and a full beer, and they stopped
- 11:23Speaker 1: selling beer in most statems. What after the seventh inning
- 11:26Speaker 1: which which means you would have to front load for
- 11:28Speaker 1: the last two innings, and you would have to really
- 11:33Speaker 1: you know, you're getting deeper into the beers, and it's
- 11:35Speaker 1: normally pretty warm out during baseball season, and those beers
- 11:39Speaker 1: could the last two particularly, could be kind of hard
- 11:42Speaker 1: to choke down. So what these stadiums have done, and
- 11:46Speaker 1: I guess for legal purposes, they offer this nine to
- 11:51Speaker 1: nine to nine challenge, But the beers that they're providing,
- 11:54Speaker 1: if you're going to buy that package, it's the miniature beers,
- 11:57Speaker 1: small ones, probably six or seven ouncers.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Yeah, they couldn't.
- 12:02Speaker 1: You couldn't with a clear conscience or responsibly sell someone
- 12:06Speaker 1: nine beers and encourage them to know. Yeah, I understand that.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Here's my question. Is one of the other caveats that
- 12:14Speaker 2: I'm not allowed to share it?
- 12:15Speaker 1: Huh? What do you mean if I buy the nine
- 12:17Speaker 1: to nine nine challenge?
- 12:19Speaker 2: Can I share it with you?
- 12:20Speaker 1: I don't. I don't see why not.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I just you said there's a few caveats, so I
- 12:24Speaker 2: was thinking that that might be one of them.
- 12:26Speaker 1: But I'm sure they only I'm sure they only serve
- 12:29Speaker 1: them to you though, until you get down to that
- 12:31Speaker 1: seventh the seventh inning is where I'm curious as to
- 12:33Speaker 1: how that that's gonna work.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I think they give them all to you in a
- 12:36Speaker 2: box at once. That's what they were showing on TV
- 12:39Speaker 2: is there was a box that had nine nine nine.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Okay, picture unless you use that box to go back
- 12:47Speaker 1: and reload each time.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Double picture a double shoe box.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna look it up online.
- 12:53Speaker 2: But picture two shoe boxes next to each other, you know,
- 12:57Speaker 2: in a square, right, and it cut out in the middle,
- 13:01Speaker 2: and they had beers around the little holders, nine of them,
- 13:04Speaker 2: the small or nine hot dogs.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Okay, well, maybe it is just a package they're selling then.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Or they were just showing it like that, but that
- 13:11Speaker 2: would be almost a money loser, you know.
- 13:14Speaker 1: So question for you on that. While you're looking at it.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Look see here's the here's the they hold it up
- 13:20Speaker 2: for the listeners. Sound of a gun.
- 13:28Speaker 1: They'd probably prefer that you share it if you want
- 13:31Speaker 1: the honest, you know truth here.
- 13:34Speaker 2: That was a pretty good description.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I gave up. Yeah, right, I got you.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Can you see that?
- 13:39Speaker 1: We go the other way a little bit and tilted up.
- 13:43Speaker 1: There you go. Now you've got a screensaver or pop up. Yeah,
- 13:47Speaker 1: of course, anyway you get the idea. Let me ask
- 13:50Speaker 1: you this, San Francisco Gate what Let me ask you this,
- 13:54Speaker 1: if you were never minded, it's a stadium promotion now
- 13:58Speaker 1: in some stadiums, would you have been able to do
- 14:01Speaker 1: this the original intent of this regular sized beer and
- 14:04Speaker 1: nine hot dogs every nine innings?
- 14:06Speaker 2: No, because the nine hot dogs would do.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Me in which would you be able to do.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Nine beers in seconds?
- 14:12Speaker 1: You think so? In nine innings? Full sized beers?
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah, full long You couldn't. You couldn't I do. You're
- 14:19Speaker 2: not drinking as much beer anymore. I can't drink as
- 14:23Speaker 2: much beer anymore. I just can't. I in my day,
- 14:26Speaker 2: I could sure you like of it. Hot dogs I
- 14:29Speaker 2: was even thinking about. I can eat easily. You know,
- 14:33Speaker 2: if I'm on a barbecue or cooking hot dogs at
- 14:35Speaker 2: my I'll eat three, and that's pretty filling. I couldn't
- 14:39Speaker 2: do three.
- 14:40Speaker 1: So the hot you're out at one one or two
- 14:43Speaker 1: hot dogs?
- 14:44Speaker 2: You're you're you you'd think three is filling?
- 14:48Speaker 1: Or No, I will eat three hot dogs if I'm
- 14:51Speaker 1: making hot dogs on a weekend or something. That's what
- 14:53Speaker 1: I am. Three hot dogs, and that's because I could eat.
- 14:56Speaker 2: One if I'm at a party, I could eat Okay,
- 14:59Speaker 2: I have a hot dog with all the crap on it,
- 15:01Speaker 2: and then I'll come back and grab another one later,
- 15:03Speaker 2: like right, a couple hours later.
- 15:05Speaker 1: It's what I'm getting at, though, is so I gotta
- 15:07Speaker 1: say beer space. I eat three, and I'm not gonna
- 15:11Speaker 1: go back for anymore. Maybe the next day if we
- 15:13Speaker 1: have leftovers, I have a hot dog or two. But
- 15:15Speaker 1: I'm trying to think to power down nine. You could
- 15:20Speaker 1: probably do it, but you're gonna just be so bloated.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I don't know where the hell you put the beer.
- 15:24Speaker 1: So props to what but those guys who've done both.
- 15:28Speaker 2: But the hops man, Yeah, hats off to y'all. But
- 15:31Speaker 2: that's why I said, if you split it with three guys,
- 15:34Speaker 2: you each get three beers, you each get three dogs.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Which is probably what they're in reality gonna see happening.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Yeah, And in my case, I'm not, I like, I
- 15:45Speaker 3: like a hot dog, but every like five months, six months,
- 15:49Speaker 3: I don't eat a hot dog all the time because
- 15:51Speaker 3: I don't don't barbecue as much, and the kids are
- 15:53Speaker 3: gone and they don't like hot dogs because one of
- 15:55Speaker 3: them threw one up out of her nose and it
- 15:58Speaker 3: and it happened.
- 15:59Speaker 1: To me too. But I love hot dogs as long
- 16:02Speaker 1: as it's a good hot dog.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Mine came out on my news my nose and it
- 16:06Speaker 2: had mustard and it burnt my nasal because it was
- 16:10Speaker 2: it was when I heard the funny p joke and
- 16:12Speaker 2: I went and God came out right chunk.
- 16:15Speaker 1: My daughter throw it up.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Because she was sick. She had the flu, and so
- 16:18Speaker 2: she'll never get a hot dog again.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Good hot dogs, man, it's an all beef quality hot.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Hargetbam Jones for Because when I'm at Costco, for instance,
- 16:28Speaker 2: that hot dog special is awesome. But you know how
- 16:32Speaker 2: many times I've done it since before covid uh once
- 16:38Speaker 2: one time? Yeah, Because when I go up to the
- 16:41Speaker 2: little food court, I either get the bake thing, the
- 16:45Speaker 2: chicken and whatever, bake this badass roast beef sandwich that
- 16:50Speaker 2: he came out with. I think roast beef or slice
- 16:52Speaker 2: a pie.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever bought anything at the Costco
- 16:55Speaker 1: food court other for me personally, other than the hot
- 16:59Speaker 1: dog drink Comba.
- 17:00Speaker 2: That's how you and I. Another way that we're different.
- 17:02Speaker 1: The wife goes for the pizza. Yeah, slice every time.
- 17:06Speaker 1: But here, here, here's our little system. And it comes
- 17:09Speaker 1: out to about five dollars and twenty seven cents if
- 17:11Speaker 1: I'm not mistaken. Get I get two of the hot
- 17:14Speaker 1: dogs which comes with two drinks, and she gets a
- 17:17Speaker 1: slice of pizza, and I give her the second drink.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Cup Boom, dinner done for about five five fifty. Yeah,
- 17:23Speaker 1: I get it.
- 17:24Speaker 2: So I just spelled food court.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Spet not to be confused with eating shirt.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Okay, here we go. I told you last time we
- 17:35Speaker 2: were talking about an eating shirt with the Nickoley group.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Got me yeah, yeah, remember it at their at their
- 17:42Speaker 1: Christmas party. No oh, they bought you and eating shirt.
- 17:45Speaker 1: B gave me a pre stained.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Shirt cold beers, Nope, cold beers, and a baby bib
- 17:53Speaker 2: that actually goes down to your nuts. So actually a
- 17:58Speaker 2: little bit further.
- 17:59Speaker 1: It's like it's like something if you're having a seafood boil, yes,
- 18:02Speaker 1: eating lobsters. Yeah.
- 18:04Speaker 2: And it has a catch on it like we had
- 18:06Speaker 2: talked about, hey, we need to put these bibs out.
- 18:09Speaker 2: They got me one of those when when we were
- 18:11Speaker 2: talking about it. They got me one for my birthday
- 18:13Speaker 2: that said, you know, uh something about your aweni if
- 18:17Speaker 2: you're not doing the thing. Okay, Key Staples at the
- 18:21Speaker 2: food court. Chicken bake, I do that every now and then.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Pizza slices.
- 18:28Speaker 1: We're under the Costco food court at this point, if
- 18:30Speaker 1: you're yeah, the same one.
- 18:32Speaker 2: We're at Hot Dog and Soda Combo. Obviously the big Dog,
- 18:36Speaker 2: but it's the chicken bake that I do every now
- 18:39Speaker 2: and then. Pizza slice obviously, hot Turkey and provolone sandwich
- 18:44Speaker 2: is really good. And uh oh yeah they added a
- 18:48Speaker 2: caramel brown Sunday or Brownie Sunday. Uh say they have
- 18:54Speaker 2: their SAFT serves too.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Okay, there's a Costco mentioned for the week. Yeah. See,
- 19:00Speaker 1: we're both the Costco homers.
- 19:02Speaker 2: The second one.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Dude, we are Costco homers. There's there's no denying that.
- 19:06Speaker 2: So anyway, yeah, I get it, but hey, I hold
- 19:10Speaker 2: a Bjay's card too.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Right, Well, anyway, the bottom line is if you're a
- 19:14Speaker 1: baseball fan, may your team do well this season as
- 19:17Speaker 1: the long long regular season gets underway in earnest this weekend.
- 19:22Speaker 1: So there you go, and all season. Speaking of sports,
- 19:28Speaker 1: so the UFL starts this weekend. The United Football League
- 19:32Speaker 1: Orlando has a team, the Storm, but the opening game
- 19:36Speaker 1: is when Sunday night at eight o'clock. Sunday night at eight.
- 19:40Speaker 2: I don't know if that's a good time to open
- 19:41Speaker 2: your season.
- 19:42Speaker 1: They're playing with Orlando. It's for TV, I think, is
- 19:45Speaker 1: why they're playing where Orlando City plays the Purple Palace. Yeah, good,
- 19:50Speaker 1: good choice. Those tickets are super affordable, by the way,
- 19:53Speaker 1: like fifteen bucks. I'm gonna get to one of those
- 19:57Speaker 1: games this season. Why not.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I'm sure we'll probably be out there there for one.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Why not?
- 20:01Speaker 2: Like working and did you work and pleasure?
- 20:03Speaker 1: Did you watch any of those games last year on TV?
- 20:06Speaker 2: I tried.
- 20:07Speaker 1: It's not bad. No, it's not bad, but I I watched.
- 20:11Speaker 2: For a little bit and then I, you know, Squirrel,
- 20:13Speaker 2: and I said, all right, cool, I'm changing. But but
- 20:18Speaker 2: with us having a team, I mean, I think it's
- 20:20Speaker 2: hard to replace what the Predators were.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Well that's so long ago at this point.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it's I know, man, that was so bad ass.
- 20:29Speaker 1: It's a completely different kind of football.
- 20:31Speaker 2: People were so into it though.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Well, no, they were more into this aspect of it exactly.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Did you imagine if we had social media when the
- 20:39Speaker 1: Predators were at the height of their you'd see in
- 20:43Speaker 1: the crowd It's exactly what I'm getting to. There was
- 20:47Speaker 1: think about that for a lot of the stuff that
- 20:49Speaker 1: went on at those games, there's no evidence of anymore.
- 20:52Speaker 2: There's no evidence shit cameras to throw away cameras. I know,
- 20:57Speaker 2: I know there's no you didn't have phones back then.
- 21:00Speaker 1: But still, dude, I told did I tell you?
- 21:03Speaker 2: Look at the one that I still have in my
- 21:05Speaker 2: thing of when Blues Traveler and what's his name played
- 21:14Speaker 2: and I'm in.
- 21:15Speaker 1: That was UCF homecoming when the UCF used to play
- 21:18Speaker 1: at the Citrus bo.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm in the crowd mooning and uh, they
- 21:21Speaker 2: got a picture of it. I still have that one.
- 21:23Speaker 2: So there's probably there have to be Predators booby picks out.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Did I tell you back? We used to go the
- 21:30Speaker 1: wife and I and a couple of our friends would
- 21:32Speaker 1: go to Predators games. They were all his Friday night
- 21:34Speaker 1: that which was beautiful. We would all meet downtown when
- 21:38Speaker 1: Downtown Orlando was still you feel safe there and it
- 21:42Speaker 1: was still a great place to hang out. And I'm sorry,
- 21:44Speaker 1: City of Orlando, It's just it's got a lot to
- 21:47Speaker 1: be desired down to see fixed. Yeah it does. But
- 21:50Speaker 1: so you would go down there and you would pre
- 21:53Speaker 1: party and wherever you wanted to meet up. And then
- 21:55Speaker 1: there was a little free shuttle that would take you
- 21:57Speaker 1: down to the old arena because that was that was
- 22:01Speaker 1: You could walk it, but that was a long walk.
- 22:03Speaker 1: It's a free shuttle, and then it wasn't the safest walk, right,
- 22:07Speaker 1: and then you can get a shuttle back to the
- 22:09Speaker 1: general area near the parking garages and stuff. And I
- 22:12Speaker 1: just remember this one time leaving one of those games,
- 22:15Speaker 1: the bus was packed to the point where the people,
- 22:18Speaker 1: you know, strap holders on, their hold on and there's
- 22:20Speaker 1: one one dude's out of his mind and he goes,
- 22:25Speaker 1: who won? Mack's a dude who had a party? Right there? Man,
- 22:31Speaker 1: that's a Predators fan? Right? Who won? Who would? Everybody
- 22:36Speaker 1: just started last? Those are some good times, they really were.
- 22:40Speaker 2: They were fun. So hopefully hopefully that league takes off.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Well, that league, that league's doing well. It's this isn't
- 22:47Speaker 1: you're saying?
- 22:48Speaker 2: Hopefully you know, the Orlando team does well, gets a
- 22:51Speaker 2: good amount of followers.
- 22:52Speaker 1: We wish them the best.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and then what's the other and then we have
- 22:56Speaker 2: a college basketball.
- 22:59Speaker 1: The well, we got Sweet sixteen beginning today, and then
- 23:02Speaker 1: it'll get down to the elite eight to determine the
- 23:05Speaker 1: final four, and well here we go.
- 23:07Speaker 2: This is when the Mic Beyonkeys and them love it. Well,
- 23:12Speaker 2: when football was still going on too, you know NFL,
- 23:15Speaker 2: It's like, hey day.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Well you got a lot happening right now. Obviously with that,
- 23:19Speaker 1: that's why. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. This is when
- 23:22Speaker 1: they love it.
- 23:23Speaker 2: And then there's that one time of the year that
- 23:26Speaker 2: is the Doldrum and Bionki takes off each year, rightfully.
- 23:30Speaker 1: So when there's not a lot going on, yeah it's on, it's.
- 23:34Speaker 2: On, And we have a bunch of I was talking
- 23:37Speaker 2: with people from annaser Bush. We have a bunch of
- 23:40Speaker 2: World Cup things that we're going to be doing with them.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I got that coming up this summer. Yeah, you know,
- 23:46Speaker 1: little something for everyone. Okay, I think we we covered
- 23:50Speaker 1: most of what we wanted to get to this morning.
- 23:52Speaker 1: A lot of you checking in here. Uh oh. Back
- 23:56Speaker 1: to the hot dog beer stuff. Somebody petitioning say they
- 24:01Speaker 1: need to make the ten to twelve ounce bea a
- 24:03Speaker 1: thing again. Rather I hear what you're saying. Those ones
- 24:07Speaker 1: that are like well, and also you know now they're
- 24:09Speaker 1: charging you nineteen dollars for a twenty three ounce can, which,
- 24:13Speaker 1: as you said, yeah, you know, once you get into
- 24:15Speaker 1: the heat of summer, that thing is pretty nasty by
- 24:18Speaker 1: the time you get down to the last quarter of it.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Somebody said full balanced meal, Coleslaw dog. Stu, Yes, that's
- 24:25Speaker 2: from George.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Stu says he could do seven hot dogs. That's his record.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Never could do nine.
- 24:30Speaker 2: You know who Stu is, right, little insider baseball. Look
- 24:34Speaker 2: at his last name.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I can't see it from here.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Stu Podasso. That's Mott Motorcycle Tom. He got banned from facebooks.
- 24:44Speaker 2: He is a stupid Asso in a great way.
- 24:47Speaker 1: We love you. We love you, Mott. You are the man.
- 24:50Speaker 1: He gets four twenty every morning too. Am oh yeah am.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Kyle used to get four to twenty all the time.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I don't know what.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Uh yeah, he's kind of been off the radar for
- 25:00Speaker 1: a little while. Yeah, some of our regulars. So we
- 25:04Speaker 1: love you all, checking in love you, checking this out
- 25:06Speaker 1: in our actual show every weekday morning from five to
- 25:09Speaker 1: ten mornings here in Orlando.
- 25:12Speaker 2: And don't forget this is a time of year. We
- 25:14Speaker 2: get text from people who are right on the outside
- 25:16Speaker 2: area and they go, man, are you getting complaints of static.
- 25:20Speaker 2: You can just listen on the free iHeart app and
- 25:22Speaker 2: you don't get the static.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Yeah, during the spring, there's atmospheric crap that goes on
- 25:26Speaker 1: at screws with not only radio but TV signal, over
- 25:30Speaker 1: the air signals.
- 25:30Speaker 2: I've been responding to a lot of those this week.
- 25:32Speaker 1: The app is always a good go to, as Bob
- 25:34Speaker 1: pointed out, to avoid that, eliminate it. We think most
- 25:38Speaker 1: of you probably have that by now. So anyway, all right,
- 25:42Speaker 1: let's get another step closer to the weekend. Thanks for
- 25:45Speaker 1: checking out our Off the Air podcast, new episodes every Thursday.
